[Episode 1 : A Fateful Encounter]
Undoubtedly there's no better way than to spend his night alone and slouched in an cheap lounge chair at a club.
Joel can sense the sarcasm there? To make a very long story short his girlfriend that he'd been with for years had just called it quits because he was far too emotionally draining for her.
That phrase in itself made him sound like some horribly abused man but in reality he was just someone who struggles with keeping a sound mind. It's not like he was crazy or anything Joel guess to his now ex girlfriend simply reaching out for help when he need it made him crazy. If that was the case then so be it.
Joel placed his arms down on the table and rested his head looking through his now watered down gin and tonic the light shining through the glass looked so beautiful so peaceful.
Maybe he would just rest his eyes for a few seconds. Even if he did happen to fall asleep people would just assume that Joel was a bust out drunk and at this point he didn't really care.
As soon as he was about to doze off the sound of a woman's singing voice had woken him up. He was a little groggy but as soon as he drew his attention to the stage and Joel's brown eyes had met hers for just a split second a surge of energy rushed through his him.
Between her stunning appearance and that godly voice she had captivated him completely. When Joel had realized that she was singing it's a Man's Man's Man's world only more engaged. This was a song that he really needed to hear right now.
The song was nearing its end. When the woman sang the words.
'This is a man's world, this is a man's. But it would be nothing, nothing without a girl'.
The voice in Joel's head told him. He desperately wanted it to be because she could read the possible pain on his face but that little voice of his was probably right why would she care anyway?
The music had fadad as her performance ended. Joel stood up and clapped for her. He looked around and noticed that no one seemed to care what a killer job she had just done! They were treating it like it was elevator music.
She took notice of his encouragement said a soft thank you through the microphone and offrere him a small wave okay so maybe this night wasn't as bad as Joel thought.
The young man was standing up anyway so he figured that he would grab himself a fresh drink.
Joel sat down at the bar and requested another gin and tonic. Just then he felt a drunken hand on his shoulder. "Hey Handsome".
