Hello everyone! Here is another One Shot!
This will have some suicide themes, just so I have said it
I was thinking of making this into its own story, but decided against it for now, but let me know what you think
This also has Thatch/Marco/Ace

Read and relax
Ace was fighting against the enemy, not having joined Whitebeard in his family yet, but he was thinking of it. He had been on the boat for a couple months now, using most of it to try to kill Whitebeard, but he didn't seem to mind this and had said he wanted him in his family still, but Ace didn't know what to think of this. It was a lot. He also hadn't tried to kill the captain the last 2 weeks. Deuce had said to think about it, as he had managed to speak with him a few days ago, as he was on Moby 2 right now, with the rest of his crew. He had also mingled a bit with them, and they all seemed nice.
As he was fighting, an enemy came close and slashed at him, which Ace avoided and used his fire to eliminate him, before another guy suddenly came and Ace didn't quite manage to avoid before the man slashed his sword, and it hit him on the wrist, breaking his bracelet, which had his eyes widen. It wasn't that it was an expensive bracelet or held a lot of memories, but it shielded something. Which was now on full display. It had hidden something from his past, a scar that went up his wrist, and it was red and very visible against his pale skin. Ace quickly moved a hand to shield it, but he felt some had seen it, one of them being Marco, who Ace had to say he liked. But he didn't want them, or anyone, to find out about this. He didn't want anyone to see this, especially Marco, Thatch, or Whitebeard. The first two since he liked them, and the latter since he didn't want to be viewed as weak. He also knew Thatch and Marco were a thing, and Ace would love to be as well, but he felt that would never happen, especially if they knew.
Ace then quickly dealt with the enemy, before he ran, needing away. He did hear some yelling after him, but Ace didn't care and just ran, before he got to his room. Or, it was more of a storage room he had taken over, but it was perfect for him. Ace, when inside, leaned against the door, feeling his breath coming out in puffs. What if anyone had seen it? And what should he do now? He only had an open shirt, how would he hide the scar now? He didn't have a sweater here, he didn't have a backup bracelet. So basically, he was screwed.
He then went to the bed he had, and sat down on it against the wall, trying to think of what to do right now. He looked down at his wrist, and remembered how it had happened. He had been stranded on an island some years back, and Deuce was as well. They had both been caught in a storm, and ended up there, on a small island. They had fought, before they got to talking, and ended up bonding a bit. But it was a small island with little on it, meaning no food or fresh water, so with nothing to eat or drink really, they would die when they ran out of animals to eat and if it stopped raining for a while. As they were talking one day, both starving, Ace had told about his heritage, who his father was. He didn't know why he told, but he did, and Deuce had seemed open minded.
But Deuce had freaked out, called him names, like 'demon' and that he should die, before he left him alone. And Ace had felt wretched. He had hoped to gain a friend the last day or days of his life. But after some hours, Deuce had come back with a bird, one he had caught, and said he was sorry, he overreacted. He had used the last hours to think. And had realized that he didn't know the late pirate king, so he couldn't really make a judgement. And then Deuce told about himself. He was from a wealthy island, and his parents had wanted him to be a doctor, but Deuce didn't. But he was forced and started to become one, before he ran away, and was a bounty hunter for a small bit, one of the reasons he tried attacking Ace. But now, he realized if one asked his parents, they would call him an awful person, which he wasn't. He just didn't fit their views. His parents had called him a disgrace and the worst son possible. But even if Roger had been a bad man, it didn't mean Ace was one. This had made the two of them bond, and Deuce had brought food for him.
They had bonded more and Deuce seemed to fully accept him, and Ace did the same. Then, a week later, when he was sure they would die, a boat came and saved them, giving them a ride to an island where Ace got a boat, and Deuce joined Ace as his first mate and first crewmember. He was sure he and Deuce would stay together no matter what. Ace closed his eyes as he remembered what happened when they docked a bit after that.
They had docked, and when night came, Ace was out trying to steal some food and stuff, small things, but this was an island who wasn't that fond of pirates and hated the Pirate King and many had said words of this supposed child, and that that child was worthless and a demon and it got to him a bit. So many felt this and said it, so it broke down his walls a bit.
After a bit, he saw Deuce speaking to a group, and went to grab him to head away. But before he could, he heard one man that was with Deuce say "If those rumors were true, that The Pirate King had a child, I would kill it myself." Another guy agreed, adding some grotesque details. Then Deuce spoke and he said. "I would too. No child of his should be allowed to live, they would just be a demon and worth nothing. I would help lead them to their death."
Ace had frozen, feeling shocked. Deuce felt that? Was… was Ace really such a bad person? Just because of who his father was? And he felt he and Deuce were good, but obviously not. Deuce still hated him… And Ace hated himself. So Ace had gone back to the boat they had, found his dagger, and cut his wrist, cutting up it, as that would make it so he bled out faster. And the world had gone dark.
But he had woken up again, and he did so in his bed, Deuce by his side, looking worried. And when he noticed Ace was up, he had asked what had happened, and Ace had hesitated, before Ace said Deuce could leave, Ace knew he was nothing, he was awful, just like his father. He was someone who deserved to die. Deuce had looked confused and shocked, before he got it and looked guilty and said "I only said it so they would give me some money. Ace, you are amazing. Don't let anyone tell you any different. And you should be glad I almost got to be a doctor. That wound was deep." And Ace looked at his bandaged arm, and he didn't doubt that.
Ace hadn't been much awake after that, being tired. But when he was better, he had a long talk with Deuce, who said Ace was his best friend, and he didn't mean any of it. Why else save him? And Deuce didn't want to lose him. It made Ace glad and hate himself less. And with time, the last 2 years to sea, he had loved Deuce as a brother. Deuce was with him no matter what. But Ace had hidden the scar, not wanting to be thought of as weak, like many had said when they saw it. He really wished Deuce was here right now.
As he was sitting on his bed, he heard the sounds of battle growing less, before silent. And after that, it wasn't long before there was a knock on his door and Ace closed his eyes, not wanting to deal with this. He didn't move or say anything, when the person knocked again and Ace yelled. "Leave!" He wasn't in the mood. But after a few seconds, the door opened and he moved his head into his knees, which were up to his chest, before he heard a voice. "Ace, yoi?" No, Ace didn't want this! Why Marco? Not the one he actually liked. But it only got worse when he heard a second voice. "You good?" That was Thatch, and Ace was sure a God was laughing at him, wanting him to be miserable. His life sucked so bad right now.
Ace just shook his head, and he soon felt the bed dip, and Ace had his arm so the scar wasn't visible. And actually, he didn't know if anyone had seen, maybe they hadn't? So Ace looked up at the two, and he knew the moment he saw their eyes, they knew. He didn't know what it was that told it, but they knew. They didn't look at him with pity, more with worry maybe.
As Ace was looking up, Thatch waved his hand a bit. "Hey, you good?" Ace nodded a bit. "Y-yeah." Curse that stutter. He didn't need that now! Marco then moved to sit on the bed as well, moving a hand to his knee. "Ace, did you get hurt, yoi? You left so fast." Ace shook his head. "No, I am fine. He didn't hit me, only my bracelet." Marco nodded. "That's good. And about that-" Ace shook his head. "I don't want to talk about it." Marco gave a breath and looked at Thatch, who sat down as well. "Ace-" Ace shook his head again, harder. "No, I don't want to talk about it!" And Ace moved his head to his knees again, wanting to cry he felt. He did feel a hand coming to stroke his back, Marco's most likely, before he heard Marco's voice. "Ace, we're just worried, yoi." Ace didn't speak. He didn't want to.
Thatch then spoke. "Ace, please, just speak to us." Ace shook his head, feeling the tears threatening to fall. He liked these two, so why did they have to come? Why not someone else? Not that it would have been better. After a bit of silence, Marco spoke. "Ace, please look at me, yoi." Ace didn't want to, but did after some seconds, and Marco had a comforting and supporting smile. "I- we- care about you, and are worried." Ace shook his head a bit. "Don't be. I am fine. It is nothing…" Not even Ace believed his own words. Marco then moved a hand to his cheek, before he leaned in and kissed him, shocking Ace.
When Marco leaned back, Ace felt he was a question mark, when Thatch did the same, before Thatch leaned back and spoke. "We really do care about you. And we've seen the looks you've given." Ace felt his cheeks heat a bit up, but this felt so… surreal. They liked him back? Marco then moved his hand to his cheek again, as he had taken it away as Thatch kissed him. "Are you okay, yoi?" Ace didn't know what to say, when Marco spoke again. "Can we see?" Ace felt himself tense at that, he didn't want to be viewed as weak. Thatch spoke. "It is okay, it doesn't make you weaker. We're just worried." Ace gave a small glare. "How would you know that?" Thatch hummed, before he moved a hand to drag up his left sleeve, showing he had a scar as well, his going over his wrist, not like his that went upwards. Ace blinked. What?
Thatch then spoke, telling about his past. How he was born to nobles, how he heated his family, before he ran away at 10. Then he met many bad people who judged him for who his family was, and at age 12, he tried to end it. He didn't know one should do it upwards like Ace had tried, but he had tried nonetheless. He had been found by a kind woman, who then took him and cared for him until he was 17, when he headed out as a pirate, and he had hid it at the start, even after he joined Whitebeard. But they had found out, and they had accepted it and him, it showed he had had it rough, but he had conquered it, the bad thoughts. And they didn't want Ace to suffer either.
After telling the story, Ace didn't know what to say or think, when Marco moved his hand out and held it out in front of him, and Ace got it. And after a couple seconds, Ace moved his hand to lay in Marco's, wrist up, so they could see the scar, probably to see it wasn't new. After looking at it, Marco and Thatch gave him kind looks. "I am sorry you have felt the need to try suicide," Started Thatch. "But you're here now, and you're not alone." And with that, the tears Ace had started to fall, but he was soon in an embrace by Thatch and Marco, which felt good. He cried for a while, before he stopped and felt drained. Marco had caressed his cheek and said "Sleep, you need it." And Ace didn't need to be asked twice.
When Ace woke up later, he woke up to being in an embrace by Marco and Thatch, in his bed, making him realize it hadn't been a dream. This was real. As he moved, it either woke Thatch and Marco, or they were awake and realized he was awake and sat up as well, and gave him smiles. Ace didn't know what to do, so he just said. "You like me?" Thatch and Marco nodded, the latter speaking. "We do, yoi." Ace blinked. "...why?" Thatch frowned a bit. "How could we not? You're amazing. You're stubborn, but determined. You are caring and strong. How could we not like you, Ace." Ace didn't know what to think, this felt so surreal. They liked him back? This had to be a dream. He was probably still asleep.
As he didn't react, Marco gave a smile and grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "So, would you like to join us as a lover?" Ace nodded. "Yes, I would." Marco smiled and leaned in and kissed him, and when he leaned back, Thatch also kissed him. This was so amazing. Marco then, with the hadn't which still held his, stroked over the scar up his wrist. "We won't judge you by it, we just don't want it to happen again." Ace got that. And after some silence, he told how and why he had tried to kill himself, and it felt weird to tell it as he never had before. When he was done, the two with him nodded. "But you're good now?" Ace nodded. "Yeah, Deuce is an amazing friend. It was a misunderstanding. A bad one. He did save me." Thatch nodded and grabbed his other hand. "And for that I am glad. You are amazing." Ace smiled a bit. He really liked these two. And they were so kind.
Thatch smiled at him. "Don't hide who you are. It is a part of you, don't be ashamed. We won't judge you by it." Ace nodded slowly, he didn't know what to say. Before he found his voice. "What about the others..?" Thatch shook his head. "Believe me, they won't judge you, they never judged me. And you don't need to tell why you tried, that's is your choice to tell." Ace nodded slowly, he didn't know if they wouldn't judge him, so many had. But he would try.
-x-
Ace sat out on the railing, Marco and Thatch beside him, smiling. It had been half a year now, and Ace had taken Pops' mark on his back- he didn't need a shirt, he was fire after all- and everyone had accepted him. Ace looked down at his wrist, having a smile. He didn't mind showing it anymore, as he knew it wasn't a weakness, it was a part of him. But he had also done something. He had taken a tattoo on it, of a blue bird who stands on the scar like a branch, the bird representing Marco. He had wanted to take a sword as well, to symbolize Thatch as well, but Thatch said the bird was just perfect, and he didn't want to mess it up or make it look odd. But Ace would try and include a sword later, if he got an idea. But for now, he felt loved and cared for by his lovers, and he had an amazing family to be with.
Everyone had truly accepted him here. A few times, when they had been on islands or in a battle and someone had commented on it and called him weak, they had been quickly shut up by someone, usually Marco or Thatch, but others had as well, like some of the other commanders and Pops, even a few others. It was very amazing and he loved it and he loved it here. He felt so truly accepted. Deuce was also now on the Moby, and Ace loved that as he liked Deuce. A few had been unsure as Deuce was why Ace had tried to kill himself, but it was a bad misunderstanding and Deuce was an amazing friend now. They had accepted it and everyone of his old crew felt welcomed as well. This was amazing.
