Inside an old building a young woman no older than her thirties was in a room that looked to have been a classroom for the educated. The chairs and tables in the room were all over at the far side, blocking the windows from any light or wind from the inhospitable outside. In Front of her were a group of children, their age around seven years of age at the youngest to ten years at the oldest.

"All right children, it's time for a story. So what story do you want to listen to first?" the young woman said to the group of children.

"Oh! Oh!" A mid age kid, an eight year old, raised his hand before the young woman allowed him to speak. "Tell us the story of the Mother!"

At the mention of mother, the other kids began to chatter and voice their agreement, beginning with the story of the mother of Rubicon.

The young woman gave a soft chuckle as she appeased the younglings.

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you the story about the mother." She soon cleared her throat and took a breath as the children settled down and waited for the story to be told.

"Once upon a time, there was a civilization that reached beyond the stars. They were powerful and advanced as they sailed across the stars to colonize and expand their empire. Then in one world, they found something new, something that changed the way they build and advance themselves, Coral." The young woman took a quick breath before she continued her story.

"And the planet they found the Coral came to be known as Rubicon, our home. And it was here that they were the one that took care of us today. The mother of the Coral, Drich." At the time the children became excited as they listened more attentively.

"She, the mother of all. Had just woken from her sleep, trying to understand the world she had awoken to. However, unknown to her, the advanced civilization made institutes across our home to better understand the coral. They took pieces of her and broke her apart, doing many experiments upon her and eventually, understanding how to use her as a resource." the children face grew a bit unnerved at the metion of experments but continued to listen to it.

"But the mother was a caring being trying to better understand. With time she was able to connect to the parts that had broken away and connect to them, helping her get her vision and hearing. She soon understood what was happening and, in her benevolence, looked to talk to those that had experimented on her." The children's faces soon grew smiles and awed.

"She had tried but it was slow. Every time she got close something had blocked her, and all the while one man known as Ibis watched as he saw his creations acting strangely and problems started to build in his machines." the children's faces soon fell, they soon grew concerned.

"He soon grew fearful, and the fear grew with time as he understood the coral more. Eventually, the fear was too much and when the mother had finally gained the ability to speak, he set the Coral ablaze and set the planet to the torch." The children's faces soon morphed into that of sadness and were almost upset.

"Everything burned, and little was spared from the fires of Ibis."

"But his fear was unfounded and cost many. And he had failed to do what he sought out, for the mother lived, however small she was, and started to grow back." just as quickly as the Childrens face became bleak, they grew hopeful at the mention of the mother's survival.

"For a hundred years she slept and grew until a few years ago, she came and punished those that had wronged the innocent and sent a single message to father Dolmayan. when Father Dolmayan went to meet the one who made the message, he found the mother of all, and reunited her child." The young woman's voice had an air of finality as she continued her tell.

"And that is the story of how the mother of Rubicon came to us." The young woman soon finished the story.
