Framing: Sometime after Synthoid Conspiracy

General Hawk Finished looking over a daily report, from yesterday, from Duke; he couldn't help but frown that's Wolf's name was on it and not for good reasons. "Better let Sylia have her hide, since she had to put up with all Asagiri's bull." Setting aside the report he opened a word document for his private files.

What are my thoughts on the Knight Sabers? He mulled as he typed. The Knight Sabers can be the motley crew I have ever seen… and I have seen everything. Wolf, Dagger and Cypher can be seen bickering, arguing and insulting each other… sometimes I wonder how Sylia puts up with all of it?

Specialist Romanova, the youngest of the group who can be a bit silly and her mischief can get her into trouble. Her naiveté has endeared her to some the Joes such as Scarlett became an older sister to her. Despite being in situations beyond her years she maintains her bright personality because of her friends. While not the best in a fight despite her efforts and Sylia's tutelage, her mind remains her best weapon as her skills are on par with that of Mainframe, Breaker, Sparks and Dial-Tone when it comes to Cyberwarfare, communications and signals intelligence.

Sylia once pointed out that if Nene was the brains of the outfit then Linna was the heart as she is playful, optimistic and open-minded despite coming from Black-Ops. While possessing nearly the same skill set as Snake-Eyes they are vastly different in personalities. I've been told in combat her 'inner Snake-Eyes' does come out especially in defense of her friends and teammates. Of course I do have to hear the complaints from Doc and Lifeline about their sparring between her and Snake-Eyes as it close to actual combat… I'll defer to Fox and Duke to it before I step in. Overall a very nice and intelligent young woman but tends to complain over her pay.

Now how do I describe Priss Asagiri? Wolf? Let's start with insubordinate. Disrespectful. Unmilitary. Rude. Foul mouthed. Tends think with her fists. A conniver. Flippant. Sarcastic. Somewhat nihilistic. AND BY SELF PROCLAMINATION A 24K GOLDBRICK! Some one who have gotten kicked out put behind bars!

Yet… seeing her in action, I cannot deny her skills and that she is a dedicated and brave young woman who is willing to protect those she cares about. A ferocious and formidable fighter who will give it her all, even after taking serious injury she would get back on her feet to fight, determined not be defeated. She has earned the respect of seasoned fighters like Duke, Gung-Ho and Snake-Eyes.

Despite her distrust of authority figures, Sylia has earned her trust and loyalty… and Sylia quietly told me that I earned Asagiri's respect due to the trust Sylia holds with me… guess that's something and I'll take what I can get with Asagiri since she never salutes. I will not deny despite all her flaws, I cannot help but admire and respect her.

It has been brought to my attention about the relationship between her and Cover Girl… due to the noise complaints that cross my desk about the two. I heard they were lovers but that is none of my business… except for that time Duke caught them making out in a Mauler Tank.

If Cypher is the brains, Dagger the heart and Wolf as the muscle… then Fox would be the sum of the three and the glue that holds them together. There is a lot I can say about Sylia since I have known her when was just a cadet at West Point. I've never met a person as driven as Sylia as she has demonstrated during her mission in Tselinoyarsk when another would have given up… Sylia refused and carried out her mission… I also know that she bears responsibility as what sees as failure. While I wouldn't call it a fault as it can be one of her greatest strengths that she sets expectations for herself that no can meet and that gives her the drive and determination to overcome a hopeless situation and make impossible possible.

I find it rather amusing when I hear the latrine rumors about my relationship with Sylia… Beachhead came very close to saying it right to my face. But the rumors are furthest thing from the truth I love Sylia as father would love his daughter. To that I found myself questioning my objectivity with her to the point I questioned my decision to bring her into GI Joe. To make the tough call. Sylia told me if the stakes were high enough do not regret the decision. She is a solider; and as tough as they come. I'm very proud of her.

Fox walked in with a cup of coffee in her hand. Placing the cup on his desk, Fox snapped to attention and saluted Hawk. "You wanted to see me, sir?"

Returning her salute, Hawk picked up the daily report. "You've read Duke's daily report."

"Yes," she sighed, "He told me about noise complaints about Wolf and Cover Girl. Either I need to have a talk with them, start slipping saltpeter into their coffee or have their room soundproofed…"

"Or all three," Hawk chuckled.

"Then there was the prank Air-Tight pulled on her. It took Gung-Ho, Leatherneck and Roadblock to hold her down to keep Priss from killing him."

Hawk lifted an eyebrow, "It took all three?"

"You have never seen Priss when she is pissed off!" Fox answered with a slight grin before sipping her coffee. Suddenly Fox's phone, "Yes, Duke?"

Hawk noticed Fox's features soured as she listened. "Duke, have Barbeque meet me with a firehose on standby!" Fox nearly slammed her phone against Hawk's desk.

"Problem, Sylia?" Hawk couldn't resist being amused.

"Yes," she growled as she headed for the door. "I swear to God, Priss has the hormones of a damn teenager!" Sylia grumbled out the door.

Hawk allowed himself to laugh at Sylia's expense before turning back to his document.

There are times I feel sorry for Sylia for what she has to put up with. But deep down I think she would trade her Knight Sabers for anything in the world. Considering what she has been through… I've never seen her happier.

Suddenly Fox, with a scowl on her face, bursts into his office and slapped a requisition on his desk. Picking up the requisition it read: One high capacity and high powered sprinkler system to be installed in Wolf and Cover Girl's quarters and for Doc to prescribe SSRIs. Wolf is a handful I guess.
