"Are you ready for the Mark of Mastery Exam, young Kanade?"

Standing inside Yen Sid's office, Kanade the Kane stood firmly in determination in front of the wizard while Bugs Bunny watches from the side with a proud yet concern look on his face.

The tale unfolds in a chamber nestled within the Training Camp where we find ourselves witnessing a tense encounter. Three figures, their expressions a blend of determination and scrutiny, are relentlessly questioning a pathetic yet utterly contemptible scoundrel.

The first figure is a young man with an average height, he had an average build and a fair complexion, he had a dusty-blonde crew cut hair, he has golden-colored eyes, freckles and permanent blushes on his cheeks. He wears a black fedora hat on top of his head, he wears a black jacket over a black buttoned vest and white collared-shirt with black necktie, black slacks and black leather shoes. This is Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu.

The second figure is a young woman with a tall stature and a well-endowed build, she had a slender frame and a pale complexion, she had a long silver hair tied up into two braids on either side of her head with white ribbons and two red ties to hold each braid together at the bottom, she had red-colored eyes and wears rectangular glasses. She wears a dark turquoise long-sleeved sailor uniform with a red armband and red ascot-like tie, she wears a grey short skirt over black tights, and she wears a pair of white loafers. This is Peko Pekoyama.

The third figure is a young man with tall stature, he had an average build and a pale complexion, he had a black slick-back hair and his eyes are shut closed. He wears a dark-brown coat with black & yellow trimmings over a black long-sleeve shirt and a black ascot, two strap belts are wrapped around his waist, black pants and brown boots. This is Shu Guangming.

"Tell me one more time where the stuff is." Shu demanded while pushing the plunger of the syringe into the scoundrel's left arm.

The scoundrel let out a piercing scream, "I don't know, I swear!" he wailed in pain.

Shu injected some more of the nasty substance into his system, "We've been through this already..." he trailed with a dark undertone, "... lie to us again and it's all over for you." he warned in a murmur.

The scoundrel's screams grew even more desperate, "I don't know anything!" he shrieked with his body jerking uncontrollably, "I'm telling the truth, please stop!" he pleaded.

Fuyuhiko sighed while clearly frustrated, "Looks like we're not getting anywhere with this guy." he announced before snapping his finger, "Get rid of him." he instructed coldly.

Peko pulled out her weapon and glared at the thief, "Yes, sir." she obliged while slowly approaching the scoundrel.

The scoundrel looked at her with pure terror, "No, wait!" he shouted on panic, "I'm telling the truth, I really don't know anything!" he begged with his voice shaking with fear.

"Is that right?" Peko replied in a cold tone, "Then people like you are just trash to be thrown out." she declared.

The scoundrel's screams of horror echoed through the room as Peko rushed at him with her blade dangerously close to his neck. Meanwhile, Fuyuhiko watched the gruesome scene unfold from the side with his expression unchanged.

Shu turned to Fuyuhiko, "So what's the plan now?" he asked while taking out a small flask.

Fuyuhiko thought for a moment, "Let's lay low for now." he decided, "I'm sure the others had more luck than us." he said while trying to remain hopeful.

The scoundrel's cries grew distant as Shu stood beside Fuyuhiko while watching Peko do her grim task, and both of them are sporting a rather sadistic expressions.

Meanwhile, we see Kylie Hollard wandering the corridors somewhere in the facility, all by herself, heading towards the lounge area. As she strolls along, she notices a door standing ajar on one side of the wall and her curiosity piqued, she stops in her tracks and cautiously approaches the open door.

"Excuse me, is there anyone in there?" Kylie calls out tentatively while peering into the shadowy room beyond.

Initially, the room seems eerily still but then, a pair of glowing red eyes pierce the darkness.

Out of nowhere, Alice Hegstrand emerges with a wild and unsettling smile, "Yes?" she responded with her red eyes narrowing to mere slits, "Can Alice assist you with something?" the pigtailed pyschopath inquired with her eyes staring intensely at Kylie.

Kylie is absolutely petrified by Alice's sudden appearance and combined with those terrifying expressions, sends chills down her spine.

And so, she does what anyone would in such a situation: she screams. A blood-curdling shriek echoes through the entire building, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that she's just had a frightful encounter.

Outside the Training Camp, Team LUNA are seen approaching the main entrance of the building and Roka Shirogane was walking alongside them. Suddenly, a piercing scream echoed out from within and sans Roka, they clearled recognized that the voice belongs to Kylie.

Roka's eyes widened in shock, "Whoa!" he squawked, "What the heck was that?" he exclaimed and is visibly startled while glancing around.

Nerezza Persefoni chuckled in response, "Sounds like a monkey." she replied.

"More like a dying monkey." Arissa Schumann chimed in with a grin.

Lunette Yaeger rolled her eyes at their monkey banter, "You guys and your monkey obsession." she quipped, "But seriously, don't worry about it." she reassured towards the newcomer, "Screams are pretty normal around here." she added.

Roka nodded in response before taking in the grandeur of the place, "Wow, this is amazing!" he complimented in awe, "The size, the architecture, the whole vibe it's just incredible!" he exclaimed.

Lunette smiled warmly at his enthusiasm, "We're happy to hear you're impressed." she acknowledged

"So, where are Jaune and the others hanging out?" Roka asked.

"They're probably training inside." Undine Nerdia filled him in, "We'll introduce you to them after we've met with the higher-ups." she stated.

Roka nodded in response, "Alright, sounds good." he accepted.

All of a sudden, Dr. Caesar Apoy, Jimmy Neutron and another figure popped up out of nowhere while holding these gadgets that they aimed at the ground right where Roka was about to put his foot down.

The figure is a middle-aged man with a tall stature, lean build and fair complexion, he had a short dark-purple hair with a white patch and he had a small stubble, he had blue-colored eyes and wears black thick glasses. He wears a white labcoat over a yellow blazer jacket and underneath the jacket is a blue-collared shirt with white polka dots and a brown necktie, he wears yellow pants, a pair of brown leather shoes and a pair of blue gloves. This is Dr. Stylish.

"Watch out, son!" Dr. Apoy shouted.

"Look down, look down!" Dr. Stylish cried out.

"What the...?" Roka uttered in surprise when a yellow circle materialized beneath him. Before he could even blink, he shot up into the air like he'd been launched from a cannon, "Whoaaaaaaaaaaa!" he yelled, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" he screamed while zooming skywards.

"Oh dear..." Dr. Apoy murmured to himself.

"Not good indeed." Dr. Stylish uttered in agreement.

Lunette couldn't believe her eyes, "What the heck just happened?!" she shouted.

"Your pal there got hit by a Kata-Portal." Jimmy answered rather calmly.

"A what now?" Nerezza asked in confusion.

"It's a different kind a portal with a catapult-like effects." Dr. Apoy explained, "Stepping on it doesn't just teleport you; it throws you into the air like a yo-yo!" he furthered.

"Seriously?!" Lunette squawked in disbelief, "So now we've got to go look for him again?" she groaned while rubbing the back of her neck.

But Dr. Apoy had other news, "No need to worry, he's on his way back." he reassured.

Sure enough, they spotted Roka hurling back down from the sky while screaming his head off, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" his cries echoes throughout the area.

"Oh, good, he didn't end up to another location." Dr. Stylish uttered in relief.

Meanwhile, Houki Shinonono, Lisesharte Atismata and Chitoge Kirisaki are seen strolling and chatting away on the camp's track field.

"You're what?!" Lisesharte squawked, "Engaged?!" she gasped in shock.

Nodding in response, Chitoge flashed a grin and held out her hand to show off a ring, "Yeah, we had a bumpy start but everything's great now." she explained rather cheerfully.

"Congrats." Houki expressed with a smile.

Lisesharte suddenly halted while causing the other two to stop as well, "Do you hear someone screaming?" the queen questioned with her eyes searching the area.

No one had the chance to reply before something—or someone—came crashing down onto Houki while leaving Lisesharte and Chitoge stunned.

"What on earth?!" Lisesharte exclaimed.

"Houki, are you alright?" Chitoge inquired with her voice filled with concern.

Chitoge and Lisesharte's jaws dropped when they saw Roka lying on top of the now-flattened Houki.

"Ow..." Roka groaned in pain, "... what was that?" he mumbled while seemingly dazed when he felt something squishy under his hand, "This is so soft." he commented while giving it a little squeeze.

"Ahh!" Houki shrieked with her cheeks flushing red when she realized he was touching something personal, "Stop it!" she cried out, "What do you think you're doing?!" she snapped with her voice a mix of embarrassment and anger.

For some reason, Roka's mind flashed back to a similar incident with Yang Xiao Long which ended with him getting smacked in the face with a big knuckle sandwich.

Panicking, Roka started to sweat bullets while taking in the scene before him. He cautiously glanced up to find an infuriated Houki glaring down at him and he couldn't help but shake in fear, "Gwah!" he yelpled whole abruptly releasing her breast and shot up to sitting position, "I'm sorry!" he apologized.

Before he could say another word, Roka noticed that Lisesharte and Chitoge are standing behind him, and both are glaring angrily at him.

Chitoge cracked her knuckles, "What do you think you're doing to Houki?" she demanded.

Lisesharte was equally enraged with her voice a low growl while brandishing a gun, "You..." she growled, "... you despicable pervert!" she cried out.

Houki towered over him while holding a bokken and Roka felt his heart race, "Do you really think I'll let you get away with this?" the IS Pilot hissed with her voice full of contempt, "After you copped a feel of my chest?!" she added.

Terrified beyond his rational thoughts, Roka's shaking intensified, "I-I-I-I'm so sorry..." he apologized in panic, "I didn't mean it!" he reasoned.

But his apologies fell on deaf ears as the girls descended upon him in a flurry of fists and the sound of his screams of pain echoed through the air.

Elsewhere, Team LUNA alongside Dr. Apoy, Dr. Stylish and Jimmy watched the chaos unfold from a safe distance.

Nerezza couldn't help but chuckle, "Remember when Yang did the same to him?" she recalled while reminiscing.

Undine shook her head, "That poor, scared little kitten." she mused.

But Arissa took it a step further, "Should I call for the funeral home or do you want me to bury him myself?" she suggested with an eerie smile.

Lunette sighed heavily, "You're terrible." she murmured while rubbing the back of her head, "Okay, enough's enough." she declared, "We need to go break this up before they kill him." she announced while approaching the still-fighting girls.

bzzzttt...

Later that afternoon, Bow Hothoof was found eagerly waiting by the main entrance of the Training Camp. His face was beaming with excitement while looking around and is clearly expecting someone.

Just then, Rainbow Dash and Seishirou Tsugumi emerged from the camp, and spotted him.

"Hey there, Dad!" Rainbow called out with a wave, "What's new?" she asked.

Bow swiveled towards them with his smile growing wider, "Hiya, Rainbow and Tsugumi!" he greeted, "How's your day been?" he asked.

"We're hanging in there, Mr. Hothoof." Seishirou replied, "Today's training was intense but we pushed through it." she stated.

"You're doing great, buddy!" Rainbow encouraged, "I'm a little banged up but ready for whatever's next." she declared with her dad nodding in approval, "And what brings you here?" she inquired.

"Ah, I'm just waiting for some friends." Bow replied enigmatically.

Rainbow's curiosity was piqued, "Like who?" she asked.

Before Bow could say another word, the distant rumble of an engine caught their attention. They all turned to see a sleek black doom buggy, decked out with menacing artwork, approaching the camp.

The vehicle pulled up right in front of them and none other than Eddie Riggs was at the wheel.

"Bow!" Eddie called out with enthusiasm while jumping down from his ride, "What's up, buddy?" he greeted, "Long time no see!" he added in glee.

Bow and Eddie then shook hands, "Great to have you here, Eddie!" the rainbow-colored archer greeted back with a grin, "How have you been keeping?" he inquired.

"I've been on the road a lot lately, but hey, it's all good." Eddie replied, "And you?" he uttered, "You're looking as fit as ever, man!" he complimented, "Like when we were still in the Freedom Heroes!" he recalled.

Bow chuckled in response, "Well, I try to keep in shape." he replied, "But what about Hogan and Layton?" he questioned, "Weren't they coming with you?" he recalled.

"They're just taking a quick pit stop." Eddie replied, "They'll be here in no time." he assured.

Rainbow, who had been watching, couldn't contain her amazement, "Whoa!" she exclaimed in awe, "You guys were actually in the Freedom Heroes?" she pointed out.

Eddie turned to her with a twinkle in his eye, "Hold on a sec!" he interjected, "Are you telling me you're Rainbow Dash?" he asked in excitement.

"Yeah, that's me." Rainbow confirmed in bewilderment, "But how do you know me?" she asked.

"Know you?" Eddie repeated with a smile, "I've known you since the day you were born, young lady!" he declared, "And let me tell you, when we all heard the news, we couldn't help but get a little misty-eyed." he shared, "You've grown into such a fine young woman!" he complimented.

Rainbow's jaw dropped in response, "You were really there when I was born?!" she squawked in shock.

Eddie nodded in response, "You bet I was!" he confirmed with a grin, "And so were a bunch of our hero friends." he added, "It's a pretty big deal when one of us becomes a parent, you know?" he stated.

"I-I-I had no idea..." Rainbow stammered in response.

Bow chuckled in response, "You were just a baby back then, so no wonder you don't remember." he mused before turning towards the road agent, "Why don't we go inside and catch up?" he beckoned, "I'm sure Kratos, Kham and even the president will be thrilled to see you." he stated.

Eddie nodded in response, "Sounds good." he accepted.

And with that, Bow and Eddie made their way inside the building while Rainbow and Seishirou remained outside.

"Wow, Rainbow, having heroes like that at your birth?" Seishirou uttered out loud, "It's totally a sign you were meant to be a hero too, which you are now, obviously." she stated.

"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!" Rainbow exclaimed repeatedly while her excitement is barely containable.

"Easy there." Seishirou eased, "You might cause a sonic boom or something." she joked with a grin.

As they talked, a young man emerged from the main entrance and Rainbow's eyes went wide with surprise, "Hold up, Brave?!" she called out.

Brave Shine

Brave is a young man with a tall stature, he had a lean build and a peach skin tone, he has a slightly spiky dark-blue hair and he has blue-colored eyes. He wears a black & yellow headphones around his neck, he wears a black blazer jacket with blue highlights over a white collared shirt with a green & dark-blue striped necktie, he wears dark-blue pants and red & white rubber shoes. He wears a purple-colored pencil necklace.

"Hi there, Rainbow Dash!" Brave greeted, "How's it going?" he asked.

"Don't mind me." Rainbow dismissed while looking at him curiously, "What brings you to these parts?" she asked.

"I'm actually here to sign up for those tryouts." Brave answered with a smile.

"The tryouts?!" Rainbow exclaimed in surprise.

Brave nodded in response, "Pretty much." he confirmed, "I just..." he trailed, "I don't know but I just sort of woke up with Equestrian Magic one day." he shared, "It's weird, right?" he mused, "So, I called my cousin Flash and he said I should totally join the Heroes Coalitions." he furthered, "Maybe they can help me figure out why this all happened." he concluded.

Rainbow nodded thoughtfully, "I see." she acknowledged.

"Anyway..." Brave trailed, "I've got to catch up with Flash before I head back to Canterlot City." he shared, "Catch you around!" he expressed before walking off.

"Take care." Rainbow called after him.

"You know, I heard the tryouts are insanely tough." Seishirou shared, "Sir Kham told me that the last time they had it, there were 300 people trying out, but only nine made the cut." she revealed.

"Only nine?!" Rainbow gasped in surprise, "How intense can it possibly be?" she questioned.

Seishirou shrugged in response, "Beats me." she replied, "But it's gotta be pretty tough if that's the case." she assumed.
