Midge tried to pull away for the umpteenth time but again Lenny pulled her back into bed and took her mouth hungrily. She groaned into his and gave in again, just as Lenny knew she would. She wasn't sure how long they stayed that way, just devouring each other, hands exploring but some part of her mind, the responsible part she supposed, made her try to pull back again.

"Mhmm, stop Lenny, we have to get up, stop trying to distract me."

"Trying to distract you? I think I should be offended, this is some of my best work here."

Midge laughed, "Oh stop it, I think you know damn well how good your best work is. This is important though. Sure, I'd rather spend the rest of the day in bed with you, hell, I'd like to spend all the days in bed with you but unfortunately, our kids would starve if we were to do that."

He groaned and rolled onto his back so she took the opportunity to stand up and look at herself in the mirror. "Fine, fine, go then, leave me here all alone."

"Nah-uh mister, nice try. This has nothing to do with me damaging your male ego or whatever, this is you trying to get out of one-on-one time with Papa."

'Damn,' Lenny thought, 'she figured it out.'. He liked Abe just fine but it was different now that he knew Lenny married his daughter without the man's permission. He had no idea what to expect, he had no idea if he was going to this lunch to get yelled at, or if they were going to spend time talking about the Constitution and how fucked up things were becoming like when they spend most of the night in jail together. He remembered that Abe mentioned something about not checking his bank records, fuck, Lenny had no idea how to even get ahold of them and even if he did, he damn sure didn't want to show them to his new father in law, they were embarrassing enough just looking at them himself.

He sighed and tried to think if there was any way out of this situation that didn't leave him in the dog house with his wife and new in-laws, unfortunately, he saw none. After a moment he gave himself a mental slap on the face, he was no coward, and he wasn't a sissy either, he wasn't going to give himself an ulcer worrying about hanging out with someone for a few hours. He turned his head to look at the clock and his eyes widened, fuck it's 2:55, Abe was expected to meet at three and he made it abundantly clear he wasn't a fan of tardiness, he did not seem like a fun guy to piss off.

He sat up and lit a cigarette before quickly looking in the mirror and running a comb through his hair. He felt Midge's arms wrap around him from behind, "Ready? Mama is probably with Papa ready to call for a cab."

"Yeah," He said as he put the comb down and spun around holding out one hand towards the door, "Ladies first, sweetheart."

She smiled and stood on her toes to kiss him once softly before grabbing her purse, putting on her hat, and walking to the door. It was comfortably quiet in the elevator ride down, Midge resting her arm in the crook of Lenny's. When the door opened Midge spotted her parents right away, her father obsessively looking at his wristwatch and her mother clearly not looking forward to going shopping. Midge knew Rose really had to be dreading Midge's show tonight because she had never once in her whole entire life seen her mother looking anything other than delighted at the thought of a shopping spree. The only reason she could be upset now was because the shopping spree was for clothes to go to the show.

Midge sighed, she just wanted to show her parents what she did for a living, she wanted them to be proud of her. Okay, so that wasn't likely, but she at least wanted them to know that she didn't throw away her life as a doctor's wife for nothing. Her sigh drew Lenny's attention and he opened his arm to wrap around her waist, he squeezed her hip once in comfort before they made it to her parents.

"Good man, you've made it with thirty seconds to spare, Rose was sure you'd be at least ten minutes late," Abe said as he reached up and patted Lenny on the shoulder in greeting.

Lenny shrugged, "Probably a safe bet in most cases."

"Oh great," Rose said sarcastically, "We counted on Joel to make sure Midge showed up to her appointments at least close to the time she was supposed to, it seems we'll never make it to a dinner reservation on time again now."

Midge felt Lenny's grip on her waist grow tighter for a moment, "Mama, stop."

"Stop what?" Rose said innocently.

"No comparing my husband with my ex, believe me, there's no comparison," Under her breath she mumbled so low she was sure Rose couldn't hear, "Especially in the bedroom."

Lenny coughed because he was inhaling his smoke as he heard Midge mumble but then he also stood up taller, his male ego thoroughly stroked. Rose held her hands up in surrender, "I was just stating a fact."

"Yeah, well, I'm a grown woman and can handle my own schedule, I'll thank you very much."

Rose laughed, "I'll believe that when I see it."

Midge looked hard at Rose, not sure why her mother was being so combative, well, more combative than normal. She understood this was a lot to take in but at breakfast she seemed carefully accepting, and now she seemed angry.

Abe knew it wasn't just the fact that she missed Midge getting married, or the fact that she didn't approve of who she married, it was also the fact that she was going to see their daughter work tonight and was not looking forward to it in the slightest. He shrugged, he was glad Midge was spending the day with her mother because he most certainly did not enjoy being around Rose when she was in this sort of mood. So, he clapped his hands once and then spoke up, "Okay, ladies, have fun on your shopping excursion, Mr. Bruce and I have some things we have to hash out. So be on your way." He said while literally using his hands to shoo them away.

Lenny laughed at Midge's clearly offended face before kissing her once quickly and stepping over to Abe. Though she was still offended, her face softened after the kiss. Midge wrapped her arm in her mother's before waving goodbye to the men and leading Rose outside so they could get a cab.

Lenny wasn't normally one to be at a loss for words but he felt superbly uncomfortable once it was just him and Abe. He opened his mouth to tell a joke as an icebreaker but caught himself, he had a feeling Abe wouldn't find the story about the Pope and the duck as funny as Midge did. Abe was looking at him with a penetrating gaze, he couldn't tell if he was trying to intimidate him or use his X-ray vision to see if Midge was exaggerating about his prowess in bed. He smirked, trying to decide how to turn that into a bit, coming up with three different ideas, two of which weren't too bad.

Thankfully, he looked to the side and saw the lounge where there was a waitress taking drink orders. Since he felt like they'd been standing in the same spot for at least an hour without one word said he started walking over to it, not surprised when Abe followed him. "What are you having?"

"Nothing for me, it's too early for my dinner, if I eat now I'll be hungry again before bed."

Lenny laughed, "Well it's a good thing we're not eating."

"You're drinking? It's not even 5 pm."

Lenny cringed, 'yeah', he realized, 'probably not the best impression of the new son-in-law. Guess I shouldn't mention this will be far from my first drink of the day.' It was a lot easier to get on with Abe before he caught him dry-humping his daughter in the elevator.

He shrugged and decided to roll with it, "Live a little, Abe, you're on vacation."

Abe stayed quiet for a few moments, "Well, that's true. Oh, but I don't have my notebook."

"Why do you need a notebook?" Lenny asked perplexed.

"I've almost perfected my alcohol consumption index that once it's completed will allow me to drink all day and not be intoxicated."

"Isn't that kind of against the point of drinking all day?"

"Perhaps but I like to stay sharp."

"Ahh." Lenny nodded.

"What can I get you two?" A waitress said in a sickeningly sweet voice while looking at Lenny with a big smile and what he couldn't help but think of as 'fuck me' eyes.

"I'll take scotch, the cheapest you got." He realized after the fact that he should probably be trying to impress Abe, and there were only two reasons people asked for the cheapest liquor possible, one, they didn't have a lot of money but still wanted to drink, or two, they were planning to drink a lot and didn't want to roll up a high tab, both just so happened to be true for Lenny at this moment, neither were particularly good looks for someone trying to be impressive.

Lenny felt a little better when Abe shrugged and said, "I'll have the same."

"Hey, aren't you…" The waitress started to say but Lenny cut her off.

"No."

"Oh, my mistake, you look a lot like Lenny Bruce."

"I get that a lot."

She shrugged before smiling again and walking to get their drinks. Abe sat forward, he couldn't help but be a little impressed that he was well-known enough to get noticed while out in public. Sure, Abe only heard of him from Midge but Abe wasn't what people would call 'hip' so it wasn't too surprising, then again, if he remembered correctly, the one show of Lenny's he went to see Lenny mentioned that he was on Steve Allen's program. If that was true, he had to be pretty big. It made him feel a little better and made him think if he was famous enough to get on national television and be recognized on the street, he had to be doing well for himself.

"Lenny, can I ask you a question?"

Lenny shrugged, "Sure, but I gotta tell you, I don't have any of that stuff like bank records you were talking about before, and they wouldn't be all that impressive if I did."

Abe's lips quirked, "No, I'm just wondering why you told that pretty waitress that you weren't you."

"Oh," Lenny said as he looked away seemingly to really consider the question. Idly he took out his pack of cigarettes and offered Abe one, but when he declined Lenny got one for himself. "I'm not working right now." Plus, he knew that look she was giving him. If he wanted, after a few sweet words he could convince that gal to go to the bathroom with him and fuck her right now. He'd done so in the past, sometimes while he was still married to Honey. Granted, Honey was the first one to cheat, and by that point, she made it clear she wasn't planning on stopping, so he figured 'Why the hell not?' But he wasn't going to do shit like that to Midge, so he decided it was best to just avoid the situation altogether.

"Ahh yes, I understand completely. I was a professor for most of my adult life, you wouldn't believe how many men I failed because they'd come to me and ask me questions when I wasn't working. There were office hours for a reason."

Lenny huffed a laugh, not because anything Abe said was particularly funny but because when they were in Vegas Midge told him about Abe's final months working as a professor. Lenny opened his mouth to reply but the waitress came back with their drinks. They both thanked her and were planning on continuing their conversation but the waitress didn't leave, she stared at Lenny.

"Can I help you?" He asked, annoyance in his tone.

"Are you sure you're not him? Or related maybe?"

"Yeah."

"It's just, I know he's in town, or at least he was two nights ago because he and his sister slash wife were on Miami After Dark. And I swear you could be him."

Lenny laughed at the memory but Abe spoke before he could and looked at him with his eyebrow quirked. "Sister wife?"

Lenny looked at him, his eyes a little wide because technically, it could be said that he announced their marriage to the whole country before her parents knew. Thankfully, or maybe unthankfully, the waitress answered before he decided what to say. "Oh yeah, really pretty gal, I don't know if they're really married, me and my friends hope not though. It'd be a shame for a man like that to go off the market again."

"What night was this?"

"Uhh, three nights ago, maybe?"

When Abe turned to Lenny he saw anger in his eyes, he was also pretty sure he saw hurt too, which made him feel like shit. "You went on national television and told everyone you married Midge before you told me, her father?!"

Lenny held his hands up placatingly, "Abe, no, it wasn't like that, it was a bit. I also said she was my sister, depending on what state we were in."

"So you told America you were married to my daughter with an incestuous joke?!"

Lenny shrugged helplessly, sure there wasn't a way to talk himself out of this. "Well, yeah, I suppose you could look at it like that."

"I knew it was you, Mr. Bruce, can I have your…."

Lenny looked at her incredulously and cut her off. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?"

"So you are married?"

"Jesus Christ!" Lenny said before taking his whole drink in one swig. He pointed at the waitress, "You, go get me another, and actually, another for him too. And keep them coming, I have a feeling we're going to need it. And you," He said, pointing to Abe, "The only way it'd actually get out that we got hitched is if you keep screaming it and this one over here goes off to tell all her girlie friends and they tell all their friends and so on. So how about we take it down a decibel or two, alright?"

Abe looked down at his cup and realized it was already empty, he must have drank it in his upset. He saw Lenny's point though, so he nodded, "Alright."

"Good," Lenny made a shooing motion to the waitress when he noticed she was still there. After she walked away he put his attention back on Abe, he decided to take control of the conversation. Sure, it'd be nice to not have in-laws that hate him for a change but he wasn't going to get yelled at in the middle of a hotel and play the meek guy seeing approval anymore, "Now, how about you tell me what problem you're having with all this so we can get it out in the open and maybe we can finally move past it."

Abe stared at him for a long while, trying to read him but Lenny's face was giving away nothing. "I don't appreciate how you went about wooing my daughter."

Alright, Lenny thought, I can work with that. "That's fair. Would it make you feel better to know I didn't think I had a chance in hell with her up until Vegas?"

Abe scoffed as he picked up the drink the waitress just put down before she quietly scurried away, "Then you're a fool."

"What do you mean by that?"

"You just have to look at her for a moment to see she cares about you."

Lenny crossed his arms, "Yeah, well, before Vegas she made very sure never to cross that line, not even when I got her stoned."

"What?"

Lenny ignored Abe's outburst and continued on with his thought, "Plus, she didn't seem to be over Joel. Don't really understand why, from what I've seen, the guy's a chump."

"At least on that, you and I can agree," Abe said with a small smile as he held his drink out and Lenny clinked his against it.

"I still don't know what she could have seen in him."

"Me either!" Abe yelled too loud for the time of day and location, drinking two drinks so fast already getting to him, he leaned in as if to tell Lenny a secret, "I tried to pay him off to break the engagement."

Lenny used a drag of his second cigarette to cover his smile, "Yeah? Didn't think you had it in you, Abe."

"Yeah, but he turned it down."

"Well, at least he got that going for him. Why didn't you want them together?"

Abe laughed, "When we were first introduced his parents were there and I dreaded the thought of being connected to them for the rest of my life. But more importantly, he's a weak man, I've known that within five minutes of being introduced. Mirium deserves more than that, much more. Are you a weak man, Lenny?"

Christ, Lenny had no idea how to answer that, physically, no, he was stronger than most, his stature alone made sure of that. He's been through his fair share of bullshit and was still living to tell the tale, so that was a point in his favor, he supposed. He'd proven to himself over and over again that he was weak to his vices, he had a problem saying no or turning away when enough was enough. Then again, he'd already cut down a fuck ton and had all intentions of going cold turkey when Midge left Miami, and he was only waiting so she didn't have to see the process of him getting off it. He was doing all that for her, well her and Kitty, so maybe he was strong, though he never thought of himself that way.

"For her, I can be."

Abe was doing that piercing stare again that had a way of getting to Lenny. So he did the only thing he could, he stared back, his back straight, trying not to show his unease. Eventually, Abe's look softened and he simply nodded before taking another sip of his drink. "Alright then."

Lenny stared, a little surprised, 'Is that it? Huh, that was easier than I thought.'

The conversation started flowing as easy as the drinks were now that the awkwardness was over, before any of them knew it, a few hours had passed and it was only brought to their attention because their male bonding time was interrupted.

"Oh fuck, I missed it? I begged Midge to let me be there when she introduced you to her family." Both the men looked over and saw Susie making her way over to them, handing an attending her luggage and what looked like a 50-dollar tip.

"To be fair, Midge missed it too."

"That's true, we could almost be considered old friends at this point." Abe agreed. Lenny looked over at him and saw mischief brewing in his eyes, that look coming from Abe surprised Lenny but he wasn't one to mess with someone else's fun so he waited to see what his new father-in-law had planned. Susie pulled up a chair to their table and sat down before lighting a smoke. "Though I'm not sure why it'd be exciting to see us meeting, sure he's well known and I was excited to meet him and pick his brain but it was nothing compared to how it's going to be tonight when Rose meets Shy Baldwin."

"Well yeah, sure," Susie said, "But that's different. That's just a fan meeting a celebrity."

"And how is that different than this?" Abe asked, sounding puzzled. Lenny started to see what Abe was getting at and he was just drunk enough, so he played along. He opened his eyes wide and tried making eye contact with Susie as if trying to warn her to watch what she said.

Susie caught Lenny's worried and warning look and her eyes opened wide. Midge's parents still didn't know about the marriage yet? What the fuck? Then why are Abe and Lenny hanging out like their best buddies? Shit, I've already said too much. Come on Susie, you're smart, it doesn't matter what your third-grade teacher told you every single day, you're smart! You can think your way out of this. Fuck, I don't want to have to deal with the wrath of Midge if I let the cat outta the bag before Midge is ready.

"Well, what I meant was, you know, Lenny and Midge are mar.., fuck, no, that's not what I meant, actually, no, it was, what I'm trying to say is they're friends, just friends. You know that much, obviously."

"That much?"

"I mean, yeah, and they're work pals too, and you know, what you said, Lenny isn't anywhere near as big as Shy." Susie felt like she pulled that off remarkably well.

Lenny scoffed, "Thanks, Susie."

"Well, it's true!" She defended.

Abe couldn't hold the laughter in any longer, he started laughing loudly, so loud, if he wasn't on his third drink he'd be annoyed at the person making so much noise. His laugh set off Lenny's chuckle while Susie just stared confused….

Well, for a few seconds anyway. Susie stopped taking shit from people long ago and she was starting to get the feeling she was at the butt of their joke so when she spoke she was even more short and harsh than normal, "And just what the fuck do you two find so funny?!"

Lenny raised his hand in the air signaling another round and made it known to bring one for Susie too. Abe was the one to answer though, "I know, about them, that is."

"What about them?" Susie asked, deciding playing dumb was the best option.

Abe rolled his eyes which was an expression neither of the other two at the table expected from him, "That they're married."

"Oh thank Christ, you had me shitting bricks there for a minute, it's never a good thing to be on Midge's bad side." Susie and the overexaggerated nodding from the men showed they wholeheartedly agreed.

When the drinks came Abe held his glass up, "To new family and friends."

The other two clanked their glasses on his before drinking.

The shopping trip was going well, all things considered, her mother was being very judgmental but since when was that out of the normal? Midge was ready for it to be over, truthfully. She loved her Mama very much and would happily spend money on her when she had it but Rose was going overboard. It was as if she thought that it was last year when they all had money to spend without worry. Unlike now when Abe didn't even have a paying job and she was just starting to make money. Midge sighed, her mom seemed so happy right now she really didn't want to bring her mood down but she wasn't sure she had much of a choice.

"Mama, don't you think it's about time we went back to the hotel? I'm sure you have something more than suitable to wear to the show tonight in those bags," She said, nodding to the employee they had no choice but to hire when there became too many bags to carry.

"Oh but Miriam, aren't you having fun?" She asked as she went over to a dress that caught her eye, she was too focused to hear Miriam's 'Not really'. "It's been so long since we've been able to do something like this, just us."

"Well, that's true." She couldn't deny it, and she would be having a good time if her mother weren't going so crazy with the spending, Midge couldn't even buy anything herself after her mother started shopping for fear of not having room in the cab for it all and that's not even considering the cost.

"It is, so we're going to stay here all day shopping if we have to until we're thoroughly bonded."

Midge finally decided to put her foot down. She walked in front of her mom and put her arms on her shoulder forcing Rose to stay still and look at her. "I'm not sure two people can bond any closer than mother and daughter. I'm sorry Mama, but I'm going to have to call this shopping trip complete."

"What? We've barely gotten started, I'd be surprised if we've even been shopping for an hour."

"You're right, we haven't been shopping for an hour, we've been shopping for four hours. And I have to get back to the hotel soon, I have the show tonight, and you have to get back to get ready too. Don't you dare try to talk your way out of it," Midge added when she saw her mother start to protest, she pointed to the boy with all her bags, "You took the bribe, now you have to come."

Rose looked at her clothes and seriously considered giving them all back, but then she came up with an amazing idea, a way to have the best of both worlds, to have the clothes and by the time she woke up tomorrow it'd be as if she'd never seen the show, she was going to get drunk! And not just any type of drunk like she sometimes did a Yom Kippur when the Weismans were being too much. No, she still remembered those nights the next day. She'd have to get as drunk as she did back when Midge was being born and she was trying to forget the pain, to this day she still couldn't remember the birth of her second but she felt like it was a worthy sacrifice all the same. "Okay darling, I'll go with bells on, you won't hear one more disparaging word from me."

Midge was confused by the complete turnaround because she was preparing for a fight but knew better than to look a gift horse in the mouth. "Really? Huh, well, okay then. Thanks, Mama."

"Anything for you Mirium, you should know that by now," Rose said while cupping her daughter's face.

The cab ride was a tight squeeze with all their garment bags and boxes but they made do. When they walked into the hotel Rose cringed when she heard a loud obnoxious laugh coming from the lounge. Some people were so unrefined. "How uncouth!"

Midge laughed, having dealt with much worse since starting her comedy career. Then the person laughed again, this time along with another one she'd never forget. "Wait, Mama, I know those laughs."

"Well, you really need to start keeping better company."

"That bad company you're speaking of is your husband and my manager."

"No!" Rose said ready to deny but another loud laugh cut her off and she heard it that time, Midge was right, that was unfortunately, her husband. "Fuck."

Her mother's foul mouth surprised another laugh out of her. It wasn't as if she never heard her mother curse like that before but it was usually only under extreme circumstances. She followed behind her mom wondering what kind of scene she was walking into. As she got closer she heard her husband chuckling along with them and egging them on. When they turned the corner they saw all three around a small table, on the table there were multiple empty cups along with a full one for each of them, and an ashtray filled to the brim. Midge's eyes widened when she saw her father smoking a cigarette along with the other two. The three were obviously intoxicated, and so lost in their conversation they didn't even notice Midge and Rose walking up to them.

"No, you must be exagerating!" Abe slightly slurred.

"I believe it," Susie added.

"It's true."

"I've seen it at least three times myself," Susie said.

"And I've seen it once," Abe admitted.

"And that's only in New York," Lenny said while putting his most recent cigarette out.

"So that's how you knew the police by name," Abe remembered.

"You spend so much time with the same people you're bound to get to know them." Susie agreed.

"But… but, you're not doing anything illegal!" Abe ended with a little hiccup he tried to hide.

"I know! It's fucked up, isn't it?" Susie agreed again.

"No, really! You're not doing anything wrong, hell, people pay you to hear you speak!"

"No one's disagreeing with you here, man." Lenny tried to cajole his drunk father-in-law.

"It's wrong! We have to fight this!" Abe said as he started to stand up but the firm hand of Lenny's on his shoulder pushed him back down.

"I go out with you like this in public I'm more likely to get arrested again than I would be to get any charges dropped."

Susie laughed and pointed her cigarette at Lenny in agreement. "Yeah, I've never seen Abe this waisted in my life."

Lenny ran his hand over his face to cover his smile. Abe was too worked up to let the subject drop. "It's illegal! What they're doing, I mean! It's wrong, immoral!"

"I'm pretty sure morality is why what I say gets everyone all worked up."

"But you're just speaking the truth!"

"Again, no one is disagreeing with you. And I feel like we've had this conversation before, Abe."

"You have." Rose said, finally alerting the table to the two newcomers, "And this is the second time I've been forced to hear it. Although, I must admit, this time is a lot more lively."

"Rose!" Abe yelled even louder than he had been laughing earlier, and he stumbled while trying to stand up. Once he was finally up he wrapped his arms around Rose, "My beautiful wife, I hope you've had as fun a day as I have!"

"I can see the fun you've been having, or smell it, actually," She said while hugging him back and smelling the alcohol on him, "I'm not sure anyone had as much fun as you've seemed to."

"That's true," Abe easily agreed. "I was just getting to know the new member of our family a little better."

"Oh, Abe, I'm touched," Susie said while pretending to wipe away a tear.

Abe waved her words away, "Oh Susie, you're not a new member, you've been a part of the family for a while now."

This time, Susie's words were more serious, and she cleared her throat awkwardly as she spoke, "Oh, wow, Abe, thanks."

"Yeah, you wormed your way in so deeply we had no choice but to let you in."

Lenny laughed and clapped his hands once, "I'm a fan of Drunk Abe, he's good fun."

Midge rolled her eyes, though she had to admit, her dad drunk was always good for a few laughs. She then crossed her arms and huffed as she sat down hard next to Lenny. Lenny looked at her and realized she was upset when she kept looking straight and not at him. He wrapped his arm around her and spoke lowly into her ear so only she'd hear, "And what's got my beautiful wife in such a tizzy?"

He saw her shiver when he breathed into her ear and all of a sudden his mind was cleared up and focused on the abundance of more pleasurable things they could be doing right now. She turned to him with a pout he'd kiss away if they weren't a foot away from her parents. She huffed, "Why didn't I get a greeting like my mom did?"

She felt his hand rest on her knee under the table and start snaking its way up her leg, taking her dress with it. His breath was back in her ear and her whole body had goosebumps, "I figured you wanted to keep it PG in front of your parents. I'm more than willing to show anyone how much I want you, always."

She turned her head a little to look at him and saw he was making a face that said 'your move'. She grabbed his hand that had just reached the lining of her underwear and pulled it away but didn't let go. "Okay everyone, we have to go get ready. Meet back here at five?"

She hoped her voice didn't sound as breathy as she thought it did, looking at her parents she thought she might have pulled it off because they weren't paying much attention to her at all, looking at Susie and her look of disgust, she realized she was wrong and she felt herself blushing. Still, she stood up making Lenny stand with her, and started to walk to the elevator, not before Lenny stopped her to take money out of his wallet to leave on the table for the drinks.

She stopped before they were out of hearing range and turned back to them. "Papa, take a nap, sleep it off because you are not missing this show tonight, and Mama, don't be late!"

She didn't wait for a reply, instead turning around and continuing her walk with Lenny close on her heels. She did see their eyes widen at her demands before turning around though. As soon as the elevator closed Lenny wrapped his arms around her and started kissing any skin that was easily accessible, her cheek, neck, ear, and cheek again, then finally she turned her head to him and he kissed her lips.

When his mouth left hers after a few long moments she managed to get out, "See, this is the type of greeting I expect from my husband from now on."

He pulled away just enough to say, "Really? Even in front of your parents? Well, alright, I can do that." Before attaching his mouth to her again.

She let out a laugh that turned into a harsh exhale when she felt his hand cup her breasts, "Lenny, slow down, we're only a few steps away from the room and people could catch us."

"Can't" he mumbled inbetween licks and nibbles, "Need you."

Midge let out another harsh breath when the hand that was caressing her hip moved down to cup her sex over her dress. She had the idle thought to thank god that she didn't wear anything too frilly because if she did she wouldn't be able to feel anything he was doing to her. She gave in before the elevator opened and wrapped her arms around him, pushing herself against him as tightly as she could, to feel as much of him as possible. She stumbled backward out of the elevator and tried to blindly navigate the way to their room. Thankfully, their room was only a few doors down from the elevator, so they found it with only one awkward encounter of trying to use their key to the wrong room and the person who was actually assigned to the room opening the door.

Lenny gave the unknown man a half-hearted apology before picking Midge up bridal style and carrying her to the correct door and closing it behind them with his foot. They had a few long hours together before she had to get ready for her show and he planned to use every last second available to him.
