Enlightened Language: Underlined

The elves were positioned on one side of the room, and the humans on the other. Both sides were shouting words at each other, and somehow understanding made experiencing it worse.

"Where on earth are we?"

"Who are you?"

"Why is this place so fancy?"

"How do humans have a dragon?"

"How can they see through the mist?"

"What mist?"

"Wait. Did you call us human?"

"Aren't you?"

"What else would we be?"

"Who knows anymore?!"

"What did you s-"

"PLEASE, BE QUIET."

That last comment came from Sophie. She'd said it in the enlightened language, but the humans could probably understand from her tone of voice.

"Who are you and how did you get to the Lost Cities?", she said calmly.

"Lost Cities? How can they be lost if we're here?" The tallest boy of the group spoke. He was pretty handsome by human standards, with dark hair and sea-green eyes.

"How are you here? No humans know where this place is."

"You keep saying humans. Are you human, or… something else?" He looked a little nervous, as did the others.

She sighed, looking around for confirmation that she should share what they were with these strangers. When everyone nodded, she said, "Elves. We're elves. But you still haven't answered my question."

"We were just flying around on Festus, the dragon, and this is probably the most eye-catching place for miles. Also, elves? Really? I've met elves and I can tell you're not them."

Sophie was opening her mouth to speak when Biana tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, some of us non-polyglots want to know what's happening." She whispered.

"Of course," she filled in her friends, and then turned back to the humans, "I'm going to make it so you can understand the Enlightened Language. Okay?"

This time the dark-skinned girl replied, "The Enlightened Language? And how? We're not exactly the fastest learners. ADD and dyslexia and stuff."

The blonde girl turned toward her, "I think that's what those others are speaking. And it would be beneficial to understand," The others all nodded, and the blonde girl turned towards Sophie, "Okay. So how will you do it?"

"Just hold still for a moment." Sophie concentrated, picturing her mental strength enveloping all of them, "3, 2, 1!" She pushed the knowledge of her birth language out of her own head and into theirs.

"Whoa! That was… weird." the tallest boy stared at Sophie, "Was that you? Are you a demigod?"

Sorry. I stopped it here just for the sake of posting anything at all. I've been busy. Also, I'm lazy. Sorry again. Part 2 soon. :)
