Chapter 10: Under the Sea Pt 1: Coral Dance
Morning has come and Mina and Sonic are still in bed together after a night of passionate lovemaking. Mina is naked with all her sexy clothing and underwear littered across the floor. Mina gets up to look lovingly into her boyfriend's face. "You treat me so good baby," she kisses him on the nose waking up Sonic as his face is muzzled in her fuzzy chest.
"Morning angel face," Sonic said as he kissed her on the lips with Mina feeling his hand on her tail gently stroking it making her pretty good.
"Morning, where are your hands going?" she asked as she enjoyed him touching her tail which is pretty sensitive.
"Playing with your cute tail," he said as Mina was moaning from him playing with her crooked tail as it sways back and forth showing she was quite happy.
"Stop it, unless you want round 2," Mina said in a flirty tone as Sonic got out of the sheet to see his beautiful girlfriend naked with only the yellow fur on her back.
"Miss Mina, so bold," Sonic teases as she gets up to hug him from behind with Mina resting her head on his shoulder.
"I can do the more bold things you like later," Mina said to place her hands onto his chest.
"Hmm, seems like a plan," Sonic said as his phone went off along with Mina's went off as well.
"Sonic, Mina. Are you there? Nicole and I detected a chaos emerald in the Northern Oceans," Tails aid.
"We will get ready," Sonic said.
"Meet us at the docks in Station Square. We are taking my sub the Mantis Ray. We are heading for the city-state of Meropis along with Knuckles and Shade," Tails said as Mina put away her soaked thong and apron into a bin. Sonic slapped her bum making her jump.
"Oh Sonic," Mina giggles as Tails is confused.
"What are you two doing now?" Tails asked about regretting his decision.
"Oh, we were cuddling before you called Tails after a night of passionate lovemaking," Mina teased as this made Tails flustered,
"I don't need to hear about your pillow talk. Get back to the docks shortly," Tails aid feeling a bit jealous not being able to share moments like that with his true love Cosmo.
"We will do that," Mina said as Tails cut off the phone line with Nicole detecting his body seeing he was anxious.
"You still miss Cosmo, do you?" Nicole offered her sympathy to Tails.
"I do but it's been three years since she gave her life to stop the Metarex from blowing up the galaxy. There was a time that I came up with hope but with your results being that Chaos Drives seem to be boosting the plant's progress. I have been getting hope that this plant will grow and Cosmo will come back to me," Tails said as he felt Nicole's hand on his back gently rubbing it to comfort him.
"I believe Cosmo will come back to you and then you have sweet memories like you did before," Nicole said trying to be his friend.
"Thanks, Nicole. I am feeling better now. We should take Cosmo's seedling with us on the sub so we can take care of it," Tails said as he took the pot with Cosmo's seedling with him to the docks.
Back with Mina grabbing a black sports bra to slip it onto her chest fitting it to her bosom. "Going under the sea huh, seems pretty romantic huh?" Mina asked as she took out a pair of black panties to slip them across her legs.
"Yeah it does, I hope we don't fight anything underwater though," Sonic said as Mina patted her rear to adjust her underwear to her figure. She puts on her adventuring outfit while fixing her hair.
"I will hold your hand when that comes up," Mina teases him as she fixes the skirt of her outfit. She puts the arm cannon module in her skirt pocket while grabbing a backpack filled with extra clothing and other stuff she can use.
"Very funny," Sonic said as Mina kissed him on the lips.
"Come on baby, let's run to the docks," Mina said as they both used their speed to quickly get to dock 5 with Tails and the others nowhere to be found.
"Gee, they are not here yet," Sonic said.
"They are not as fast as us baby, let's wait for a bit," Mina said as she took in the view of the ocean ahead with her long purple hair dancing against the cool breeze. "This takes me back to when we first met in Station Square," Mina said feeling positive about it.
"Yeah, it does, what a journey we've been on," Sonic said as Mina lay her head on her shoulder.
"It was, I was in a bad place back then. I was with people who didn't have my best interest in mind and made me feel so small. With you by my side, I gain my smile and my confidence. I can face the future head-on like you always do," Mina said.
"Come on Mina, your real friends and your family helped as well," Sonic said.
"I know. I am grateful to everyone for it and you keep me going. Being my drive to be a better me," Mina said to show him a bright smile.
"Yes, let's do our best together," Sonic said to give her a thumbs up.
"Right, oh they are coming up here," Mina noticed Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Nicole, and Shade coming their way.
"Good to see you all here, we got a big mission ahead of us," Tails said.
"Going to Meropis, I never heard about that before," Shade said.
"It's an underwater city run entirely by aquatic Mobians with no humans in sight. They are pretty closed off from the outside world and their city is protected in a glass dome while heavily by their city militia," Knuckles said.
"Yes, we have a meeting with the King and Queen of that realm. We need their permission to operate in that area or we will be shot on sight," Tails said.
"They don't seem that friendly," Shade said.
"They didn't make a pact with the United Federation due to their policies against foreigners of any kind. We need to be cautious out there," Knuckles said as they went into the warehouse to see a large sleek-looking submarine called the Mantis Ray.
"You keep impressing Tails," Amy said as Tails felt humbled by this.
"It's pretty neat, it's not as impressive as the Blue Typhoon starship I created three years ago to use against the Metarex," Tails said as they began to set up the launch. "Nicole, get this vehicle ready," Tails said as Nicole was operating the machines to get it into the water.
"Okay, I am gently putting it in the water," Nicole uses the machine to pull him into the water. She activates the ship's systems to make it operational. "Let's get inside, it will take some time before we get to the dome city of Meropis," Nicole said as they got inside the large sub for it was quite spacious inside.
"Go pick a room and rest up, it's going to be a long trip," Tails said as He and Nicole headed for the command center with Knuckles, Shade, Amy, Sonic, and Mina going to their rooms to set up.
"Well Tails, outdone himself once again," Mina said as they went through the hallways to see the port views of the water outside. "So blue and pretty," Mina said.
"Just like me," Sonic said as Mina gave him a bright smile.
"Yes just like you," she pokes him in the stomach with them going into their room which is a simple room with a bed, closet, and a lamp.
"Seems pretty simple but it's a sub so what can I expect," Sonic said as he hopped onto the bed.
"The bed is big enough for the both of us, got any bright ideas?" Mina teases him while Sonic winking at her.
"I had enough workout last time," Sonic said as Mina playfully pouted at this.
"Okay but I doubt you had enough sweetie pie," Mina said to sit beside him. "This is exciting to go to this new city, I wonder what it looks like," Mina said.
"Don't know, this is my first time coming there too. Hopefully, we can get permission to explore the area without any hassles," Sonic said.
"Yeah grab this Chao Emerald and those Master Emerald shards before the bad guys grab them," Mina said.
"This time we will be ready for them," Sonic said.
"Yes, we going to get the jump on them now," Mina said as they relaxed in their room.
Meanwhile, Knuckles and Shade are talking to each other in their room. Knuckles is deeply concerned about the past of the echidnas starting to haunt them all of a sudden. "Gee, it was supposed to be simple. Keep the Master Emerald safe and yet everything from our people's past is coming back to bite us," Knuckles said as Shade placed her hand on his back comforting him within his confusion and disbelief.
"Oh Knuckles, it's all very concerning. From what we know from Jewel, Albion the original homeland of our people is the key to everything but it's been lost to time. No one has seen it for over 8000 years," Shade said.
"You were locked away in the Twilight Cage for over 4000 years. Don't you remember Albion from the people back then?' Knuckle asked.
"Nope, my clan was deeply entrenched in Soumerca by then and we barely remember anything before then," Shade said as she felt sad she was unable to help her boyfriend and her friend unlock this ever-growing mystery.
"A long time ago when Chaos first popped out of the Master Emerald. I looked into the past and how my clan felt due to their greed and lust for power. I thought I could brush it aside but then your clan showed up and the Twilight Cage. The history between our clans fighting each other in Soumerca trying to be the new superpower of that region of the world. It's eye-opening how much I don't about my past and how it connects to the present," Knuckles said as he felt ashamed about his lack of knowledge.
"Relax, it's not your fault dearest. You did your duty and now we both must confront this head-on. It's our new duty to put the past back where it belongs so it doesn't hurt our friends and the world," Shade said as Knuckles nodded his head.
"You are right about this. We are the last of our kind and is our duty to keep our world safe from our clans' dark pasts," Knuckles said as Shade kissed him on the lips.
"Damn straight honey, I will be there with you 100%," Shade said.
"I am pretty lucky you became part of our team," Knuckles said as Shade pressed her body against his and traced her slender finger across his broad chest.
"Yeah because of that. I met you the love of my life and a second chance for redemption," Shade said as they enjoyed themselves in their room.
Elsewhere within a new Eggman robot which is a massive lobster-shaped beast called the Egg Leviathan. Sally and her team along with Geist and Ether are within the huge robot along with their Badnik army.
"We are going across the Chaos Emerald in the Northern Ocean. This place is huge and covered with Meropis City military forces," Sally said.
"Indeed; they are quite heavily defended," Bunnie said as they looked at Naugus on the hologram.
"Yes it is but I believe you will do well enough to finish the job," Naugus said as he looked at Sally with a hard stare.
"What is it, sir?" Sally asked.
"Fang told me about your little plan once you are done with me," Naugus said as Sally gave Fang a nasty look.
"You misunderstood our intent. I want your funds to regain back my kingdom, it's why we are even doing this. I will do anything to get my nation back from my weak brother Elias," Sally said as Naugus knows about the history of his version of the Acorn lineage.
"I see, why don't you ask me directly," Naugus said as Sally looked confused by this.
"What?" Sally asked.
"Tell me, why did you leave the kingdom in the first place?" Naugus asked.
"Well, I didn't agree with my nation becoming a part of the United Federation. We would lose our independence but my good old brother wants us to join them," Sally said as Naugus understands this with GUN under the United Federation are the guardians of this world. Naugus can sense this version of Sally is morally dubious than his version who is a good guy.
"Why are you labeled a criminal?" he asked.
"I wanted to set up a coup and kill the remaining advisors along with my brother but it failed. Sadly, my people were killed. Me and Bunnie were forced out of the kingdom. I built my group to take revenge on my brother for labeling me a criminal and banishing me for correcting his mistakes," Sally said as Naugus now knows that this Sally is going to be easy to recruit to his cause.
"Every well then, for your aid in helping find the Chaos Emeralds and the Onyx Horde. I will aid you in taking over the Kingdom of Acorn," Naugus said as Bunnie and Sally were surprised by this.
"Are you serious?" both Bunnie and Sally asked.
"Besides I highly doubt with all the money you are making from my old deal. You wouldn't last long against the Kingdom of Acorn and their allies like GUN. Combing our efforts would make this a lot easier," Naugus said.
Sally is bewildered by this as she thinks he would kill her on the spot if he finds out about them leaving. This new deal changed her mind and find some new respect for this old wizard. "I see, I am grateful to you Ixis Naugus. Once I take over a Queen of the kingdom, I will aid you in any way I can," Sally said as Naugus had a devilish smile.
"Good, I am glad we managed to clear up this little misunderstanding," Naugus said as he cut off the line.
"Well, it's all or nothing now. We can't hold back against anyone military, citizens, or anyone else who gets in our way of making you queen Sally gal," Bunnie said as Sally nodded her head.
"Speaking of which," Sally said as she and Fang go to the holding cells a floor below. "Thanks for straightening me out Fang," she said.
"Look I am in it for the money. Getting your kingdom back in the fastest way makes sense to me. Can't be getting soft now when we are on the verge of our goals being in reach," Fang said as they both got into a lift heading for the jail cells.
"I know, I will not fault in this. I will get me my throne even if it means leaving a trail of bodies behind innocent or not," Sally said as they reached the prison level to go into a cell holding a lone Meropis City guard officer tied to a chair.
"What do you want scum," the shark Mobian said as Sally takes one of Fang's pistols to place it on his kneecap.
"You will tell me about the defenses of the city and how to break the defensive barrier?" she asked.
"Why would I tell you," the officer said as Sally shot a laser bolt through his knee burning part of it. He screams from the flashing spikes of pain from the gunshot.
"Because it's going to get worse. Tell me and I will stop," Sally said as she aimed her pistol again at his other knee.
"You must be the criminal Sally Acorn, the one that almost sends your whole kingdom into civil war. Your brother Elias is doing such good work and keeps pushing forward. You are trying to stay in the past but the Kingdom of Acorn and my kingdom Meropis will soon join with the United Federation to stop monsters like you," the officer said.
"Wrong answer," Sally said as he blew out his last kneecap making the man wince in intense pain trying not to fall apart.
"Fine, it's pretty obvious if you look hard enough," the officer said.
"He must be talking about the caves underneath the city. They house the generators there," Fang said.
"Thank you for your help," Sally said.
"You know Sonic and the others are coming to meet with the royal family. Even if you fight, Sonic and the others will defeat you and push you back," the officer said.
"That is good to know," Sally fires a laser bolt through his head killing him instantly. "Time to get our assault going but first. Bunnie, Ether, and Fang you have to go in and kill the leaders. This will throw them into chaos and then we can slam them in one swift motion," Sally said on the radio.
"Good idea, rip the head off before killing the whole body," Bunnie said as they prepared to go into the city to assassinate the royal family.
Back with Mina and Amy watching the news in the lounge room see a news reporter talking about a news conference by the new leader of the Kingdom of Acorn King Elias.
"People of Mobius, don't be alerted. My people are starting talks with the United Federation to become a full ally and trade partner. Our previous civil war was caused by my sister Sally Acorn and her friend Bunnie Rabbot. They called themselves 'Freedom Fighters' but they are nothing more than terrorists trying to keep this kingdom in the past. Killing government officials, kidnapping civilians, and blowing up buildings," Elias said as Mina and Amy felt unnerved by Sally's actions.
"Well, there goes my sympathy," Nicole said not liking Sally at all for them showing all the photos of what Sally's rebel group has done.
"Yeah, she is bad news. No wonder she tag-teamed with that crazy wizard," Amy said.
"I guess we would expect they would show up here as well," Mina said.
"Of course, I heard reports that a large lobster mech is swimming through the Northern Ocean," Nicole said.
"We got the Mantis Ray, it should be able to fight off something like that," Mina said.
"We are about to get to Meropis City very soon. We are being spotted by the city militia," Nicole said.
"I should get ready to depart," Mina said as everyone got to the commander center with several min subs blocking their path along with several squads of aquatic Mobians swimming in the water-wielding tridents.
"This is Tails of the Mantis Ray. We are here to speak with you royalty in enabling us to go about in your region without harm," Tails said on the radio.
"This is Captain Striker, leader of the Meropis Militia. Our Queen and King are expecting you. We will lead you into one of my wet docks," Striker said on the radio.
"Thanks, we are coming in," Tails said as they were being guided into an underwater valley to see a huge city lying on the bottom of the ocean covered by an energy dome. Everyone looks amazed by the sights of the city whose buildings are made of coral towering upwards.
"So beautiful," Mina said sounding dumbfounded by this lovely city made of coral.
"Indeed; like out of a fairytale," Nicole said as Knuckles felt on guard with the city militia being very cautious.
"Brace ourselves, let's behave out there," Knuckles said to look at Sonic.
"What are you looking at me for?" he asked feeling offended. "I will behave promise," Sonic gave him a thumbs up. They go into the docks to submerge inside as they exit out of the sub to meet with Striker who is a purple Mantis Shrimp Mobian clad in an armored wetsuit like the rest of his army.
"Good to see you Sonic, I heard a lot of good things about you," Striker said as to give him a handshake.
"Nice to meet a fan," Sonic said as a purple dolphin greeted them by bowing her head.
"Good morning, I am Striker's second in command. Echo the Dolphin at your services. We will take you to the royals and speak with them," Echo said as the military leaders along with the royal guards led them into the city.
They got out of the docks to be greeted by the large coral buildings as some of them were near the tips of the energy dome protecting the city from enemy threats. "Your city is something to behold," Amy said.
"Yes, these coral buildings were highly made in this certain style to complement our natural environment as much as possible," Echo said.
"I heard the news from the surface world and it's not good. Eggman is replaced with some weird wizard," Striker said.
"Yes Ixis Naugus, he seeks the Chaos Emeralds and tries to plan something with them in the shadows. We don't know yet but it's connected with the Echidna," Sonic said as Striker looked at the two Echidnas with them.
"Echidnas huh, their history is quite cursed with war and strife in the distant past," Striker said as they saw a huge couch shell in the distance which was the royal palace. "There is the palace, our royals are waiting for you," Striker said as they went up to the steps of the palace. Two fish Mobians were watching from the side preparing to greet the strangers.
"Greetings travelers, it's so nice to have visitors in our fair city. I am the Priestess Coral the Betta at your service," the orange Betta Mobian bows her guests donning blue coral-inspired robes.
"Welcome, I am Pearly the Manta Ray. I am the apprentice of the priestess. Please to meet you," the little girl said as she was a grey-colored female Manta-Ray sporting an orange dress.
"You are so cute, you remind me of Cream when she was younger," Amy said as she petted her on the head.
"Priestess, we need to take to the royals. You can speak with them later," Striker said as he guided them into the palace with Coral and waved to them.
"We will speak later strangers," Coral said to see the big pearl white doors closing behind the group. "Those people are here for the Chaos Emerald," Coral said.
"That is Sonic the Hedgehog, the big hero on the surface," Pearly said sounding excited.
"Indeed, I am hoping the royal family wouldn't be so standoffish but I feel we will need them very soon," Coral said as she took her student to head for the marketplace.
Elsewhere Shadow is at his home in Central City as he is sitting on his couch watching the news about the dangerous criminals Sally and Bunnie being on the loose. "We need to nip this in the bud. Sooner or later," Shadow said.
"Morning Shadow," a gentle voice said as Shadow turned around to see a 17-year-old human female dressed up in her PJs with her short blond hair in a mess.
"Morning Hope, had a good night?" Shadow asked as she grabbed some cereal bars from the shelf and sat down with her big brother figure Shadow.
"Of course, I was dreaming about making this new invention that can allow you to go into different dimensions," Hope said as she handed him a cereal bar to gladly take it.
"Well, that is a very interesting dream there," Shadow said finding it amusing.
"Yes it would be pretty cool to go on quests with you, Team Dark, and GUN Task Force X across dimensions fighting bad guys. With my mechanical skills backing you all up," Hope said.
"Did you give Tails the Chaos Drives?" Shadow asked.
"Oh yes, he seems pleased with it. he is still trying to revive Cosmo huh?" Hope asked.
"Yes it's been three years but recently the seeding is growing with all that Chaos energy flowing into it," Shadow said.
"I hope it helps him out, I wish him the best," Hope said.
"Speaking of which, you should get in the bathtub. Get wash up and we can both meet up with the others," Shadow said as Hope let out a big yawn.
"Okay, big bro. I going to take a shower," Hope said as Shadow smiled at her bright personality when she walked into the bathroom.
"Just like old times," Shadow said as he heard a knock on the door. He opens the door to see Rouge at the door.
"Dark and handsome," Rouge said in a flirty tone as Shadow felt happy to hear her silky voice.
"Hey Rouge, you were doing yoga or something?" Shadow asked to be fixated on Rouge's outfit consisting of a black sports bra and black sweatpants.
"Yes, I got to get my limbs nice and limber. How do they look?" Rouge leans in as this makes Shadow uncomfortable.
"You look nice," Shadow said as Rouge noticed him staring down her deep cleavage.
"Look nice, huh, you are not being honest with me Shadow. I know you too long," Rouge said to go up to him making the dark hog rosy in the face.
"Rouge, stop now," Shadow said as Rouge had a cheek smile showing her cute little fangs.
"Why don't you like it when I get close to you," Rouge said as Shadow backed away until he fell onto the couch with Rouge falling on top of him. "Oh Shadow, are you okay?" Rouge asked as Shadow has his hands on her chest.
"Wow, they are very soft," Shadow thought as both of them were blushing.
"They are pretty nice right?" Rouge keeps teasing him.
"Sorry, they were just there," Shadow said as Rouge noticed he kept groping her chest.
"Oh, your hands are still holding them. Don't say you're sorry, I see you peeking at you. I know you like them big and soft," Rouge whispered.
"Rouge," Shadow tries to act cool but he stares deeply into her bright blue eyes.
"Shadow, don't worry about touching me. I like you touching me like this," she said softly wanting to reach further as their faces got closer.
"Oh, so cute," Hope comes in to spy on them as the duo flips over the couch to crash onto the floor.
"Hope dear, how long were you there?" Rouge asked trying to regain her cool edge but instead looking awkward which Hope found adorable
"Long enough big sis," Hope said with them being so bashful about it.
"Damn it, I was going to kiss him," Rouge looks disappointed as the moment was lost. "You look cute," Rouge said as the tall 17-year-old girl was donned in a blue t-shirt and brown khaki shorts with green boots.
"Thanks, come lovebirds let's go. Commander Towers would be grumpy if we were late to the base," Hope said as the trio exited out of the house to head down the streets.
"Such a sweet girl, can't believe she is related to the Robotnik family," Rouge said as Shadow looked at this young woman remembering him so much of her great aunt Maria.
"I can't believe it since she takes after Maria," Shadow said as Rouge playfully taps his shoulder.
"How sweet being a nice big brother to little sis Hope," Rouge teased him.
"I don't mind, she is the only family I have left," Shadow said as Rouge kissed him on the cheek.
"I hope you don't mind adding one soon," Rouge said as she gave him a wink to go up ahead.
"Omega is right, I need to talk with Rouge soon about this," Shadow thought as the trio went towards the base.
Elsewhere Sonic and the others are guided into the royal chambers to see beautiful, shaped shells entering the area with King Puff and Queen Angelica sitting on their silver thrones along with their daughter Princess Undina looking very curious about the new guest to their kingdom.
Sonic spots the king as a purple-colored Mobian Pufferfish donned in red silk clothing along with a coral crown fitting for his royal status.
He looks over to the queen who is a green-skinned Mobian Anglerfish coming with a glowing lure on her forehead. She is wearing a yellow robe fitting for her royal status.
Sonic sees a friendly young lady who is a purple-skinned Mobian fish wearing an orange dress.
"The legendary Sonic the Hedgehog and crew have come to my domain. I heard you wanted to gain permission to seek out a Chaos Emerald in my borders," King Puff said as Striker and Echo were beside their royals standing guard.
"Well yes, there are some bad people who are seeking them out too. We don't want to make any trouble," Tails said.
"Well, we already have trouble. There are reports about a huge metal monster stalking these waters," the king said.
"Well dear, we are preparing our naval forces to deal with this threat. This city is currently under lockdown with nonmilitary unable to leave this city including you lot," the queen said as Sonic and the others were not pleased with this.
"We are here to help you out. Not locked up like a bunch of sardines," Sonic said.
"You have not gained our trust and you will be guests here. You can engage with our culture and we will continue to monitor you so we can see if you are worth our time," King said as Amy looked angry at this.
'We are trying to help here, I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation here," Amy is about to lose her cool but Mina calms her down.
"We are their guests, we shouldn't be pushing it," Mina said.
"I agree, we don't know the full situation here," Knuckles said despite he wants to find the pieces of the master emerald as much as possible.
"We need to keep watch over the situation until you will be watched. Also, we have a royal ball within the palace where you can come and enjoy our wonderful bounty. Enjoy yourselves, our honored guests," the Queen said as the crew out of there.
"Well, that was bad," Nicole said.
'I know right, we were brushed off and made them their honored guests. What a big fat joke," Amy said.
"I think they need to see us in the open and check if we are trustworthy enough," Shade said.
"Indeed, I am so sorry about my parents. They are very on edge lately," Undina said as the princess greeted them and bowed her head in respect for them.
"And very rude," Amy said.
"Well, did you aid us in a great manner? My parents would be more willing to give you more leeway if you can grant their trust," Undina said.
"Well, we better look good for this royal ball," Knuckles said as Mina looked pretty excited about this.
"Oh, I was expecting this. I bring over the qipao I just got recently," Mina said as Sonic remembered that thing.
"Oh boy, that would be exciting to look at," Sonic said as Mina giggled at this.
"I am looking forward to your reaction baby," Mina said to playfully poke his nose.
"Well, where will you sleep?" Undina asked.
"In the Mantis Ray. that will be our base of operations here within the Northern Ocean and Meropis," Tails said.
"Okay, I can't wait to see you all at the royal ball," Undina said as she waved for them to leave for the Mantis Ray preparing for the ball.
The day has come with the royal ball in the palace going in full swing with Bunnie, Ether, and Fang waiting in the shadows. "Looks like this place is lighting up with fancy people here," Bunnie said.
"Indeed, hope these bastards don't get in our way," Ether said.
"Yes, I am training my sniper rifle and get into a good position to take out the King and Queen along with that dumb princess of theirs. Sending this realm into chaos," Fang said.
"Hope we can make this quick and get out of here. This whole city will be on our asses like flies on a pile of dung," Bunnie said as the trio hid until they make their move.
Within that night, everyone is at the royal ball Tails and the others are relaxing inside with Sonic waiting for his girlfriend by the gates.
"Sonic, sorry for the wait. I wanted to look perfect for you," Mina said as Sonic was dumbfounded by her appearance.
Mina is sporting that same red silky qipao with the green serpent imprint on the front. The dress hugs her hourglass figure showing it off pretty well with the silts of her skirt showing her long curvy legs. Her purple hair is tied into a big bun on top with three hair sticks popping out of the bun. She has green high heels and matching green silk gloves.
"What do you think of the full package?" she asked.
"I think am speechless," Sonic said as Mina giggled at this.
"I bet," Mina said as she put her hands on her hips which are very noticeable in her tight-fitting dress. "Come on, let's go inside," Mina said as she took his arm to go inside. All the guests take notice of Mina's beauty.
"Seems like you are getting noticed," Sonic said as Mina put her head on his shoulder.
"Well; I do look good and now you got the hottest girl in the room in your arm. Big Blue," Mina said to kiss him on the cheek.
"Damn Mina, you look awesome," Amy said as she is gets quite jealous at her dress hugging her huge rack. "Damn, she is packing there," she thought as she looks down at her red dress which fit her cute slender figure. "Well, I'm still cute and that's what matters," Amy thought.
"Hey there Amy. You look good too," Mina said as Amy was eating some yummy fried fish bites.
"This is pretty good; you should try out the buffet there. Lots of seafood and other things they imported from the surface," Amy said.
"Sadly, I can't be able to taste these yummy foods," Nicole said as she was clad in her cute purple dress.
"Hey Nicole, you got some looks from the men here," Amy said as Nicole felt self-conscious about this.
"Well; I don't pay them no mind. I already have interest in someone," Nicole said as Mina poked her on the arm.
"It's Shard is it, your boyfriend?" Mina teases her as the AI blushes in her furry face.
"I find him interesting, not going to lie about that," Nicole said.
"You know, we are going on a double date with me and Sonic with you and Shard. It could be fun, I know a good place to go," Mina said as Nicole looked happy about this.
"That would be very nice," Nicole said feeling excited about this. Sonic and Mina continue to look around to see Knuckles and Shade at a table eating some food and taking in the deep sea atmosphere.
"Yo Shade, nice outfit," Mina said as Shade was a simple black minidress fitting her slender frame and showing off her legs.
"Thanks, treat for Knuckles. He seems to like it," Shade said as Knuckles took a sip from his wine for him to choke on it.
"Sure, I guess," Knuckles said sounding sheepish as Shade kissed him on the muzzle.
"So cute like that," Shade said.
"See anything suspicious?" Sonic asked as Knuckles nodded his head.
"Nope, just rich people being rich I guess," Knuckles said as he wanted to dig into his salmon dish.
"Well, we all need to be aware despite the pretty atmosphere," Mina said.
"Yes I am pretty aware of that," Knuckles said as Sonic and Mina saw Tails speaking with Princess Undina.
"Greeting new friends, Tails tells about the outside world. It's very interesting stuff," Undina said as she donned a pretty blue gown matching her fishy appearance.
"Princess here tells me there is a huge ancient super volcano nearby which was part of the cause of the destruction of the old world of humans 12,000 years ago. Quite interesting," Tails said.
"So eying a date with the princess old buddy"? Sonic teases Tails as he is blushing in the face.
"Of course not, my heart belongs to another," Tails said as Mina and Sonic looked at Tails looking quite sad.
"Tails, I hope you get your answers with Cosmo if she can come back or not," Sonic said.
"Yeah Tails, keep your options just in case," Mina said as the two were worried about him.
"Yeah I know, don't worry about me," Tails said as Undina was confused by their talking.
"What do you mean, you miss someone?" Undina asked.
"It's nothing, it was a long time ago and I wish she could be okay after what happened," Tails said as he remembered Cosmo's seedling was still within his room in the Mantis Ray.
Soon enough King Puff and Queen Angelica were at the front to make a speech with Fang in the balance wielding his sniper rifle above to shoot two royals in the head.
"I am in the position," Fang said on the radio as he adjusted the scope of his rifle to the first aim at the king.
"Do it and we can get out of here," Bunnie said.
"Make it quick," Ether said as Fang was about to pull the trigger.
Sonic looks at the balance to see a glint of light to know what that is. "Sniper get down," Sonic speeds over to the King and Queen to drag them out of the line of fire. A bullet misses as the gunshot alerts the crowds.
Knuckles is on alert along with Shade to notice Fang. "His goon squad is here," Knuckle said as Shade activated her leech blade from her gloves.
"Shit," Fang runs away with Tails and Amy going after him. Sonic, Mina, Shade, and Knuckles have to deal with Bunnie and Ether as they cut down several people.
"We meet again Sugar Hog," Bunnie aims her robot arm turning into a minigun to pepper the area with laser fire. They dodge out of the way with random people getting turned into burned corpses.
"Laser," Mina pulls out her Wisp arm cannon to fire a green laser with Bunnie using an energy shield to block it. The green laser bounces off the wall and hits back at the shield to break it open with Knuckles bashing her in the stomach to launch her into a wall.
"We will deal with the cyborg. You deal with this the psychic fox," Knuckles said as the two echidnas gave chase to Bunnie. Sonic and Mina deal with Ether as the blue fox lifts objects with her mind.
"Time to deal with you rats," Ether said as the duo were using their speed to avoid her thrown objects. The couple speed through the flying debris as Mina uses Drill to become an energy drill to dig into the floor with Sonic using Homing Attacks at incoming objects.
Sonic kicks aside a table as he attacks from the air with Ether holding him in midair with her telekinesis. Mina pops out of the floor to strike Ether in the chest launching a series of strong kicks. "Take this," Mina slaps her arm cannon onto her face to knock her into a pile of chairs.
"She drops her guard when she attacks. Pincer moves, Sonic," Mina said as they speed towards Ether.
"No, you don't," Ether locks Mina in place but Sonic sidesteps to avoid getting caught to slam into Ether with a Spin Dash. Sonic follows up with a flurry of powerful kicks and then Roundhouse kicks Ether in the head knocking her into a wall.
"Sorry, but we know how your powers work. Don't bother resisting," Sonic said as Mina and Sonic began to speed blitz her with Light Speed Attack and Cyan Laser. They combined their attacks to completely overwhelm Ether's psychic defenses to knock through several walls. She crashes into a room and falls onto the floor badly hurt.
"Damn it, sorry boss," Ether blacks out and is unable to fight back anymore.
Knuckles and Shades are fighting Bunnie using her minigun to prevent them from getting too close. Knuckles charges up his next move. "Taste this, Thunder Arrows," Knuckles leashes out arcs of lightning from his fists with Bunnie using her shield but it overloads it blowing out.
Shade is rushing towards her with Knuckles tossing lightning bolts and debris at Bunnie keeping her off balance. Shade clashes with Bunnie using her leech blades to score hits but Bunnie blocks and dodges her assault.
Knuckles slams his fist onto the ground to emit a shockwave which knocks Bunnie off her feet. Shade slashes into Bunnie's robot arm leaving some damage but she hasn't drained her life energy yet.
"Okay, I need to hit her organic parts for that to work," Shade makes notes of this in her mind as she gets hit by a sonic blast to sends her flying. Knuckles under Shade to kick Bunnie's robot leg making her buck onto her knee with him uppercutting her into the ceiling.
Bunnie uses her jet feet to regain her balance in midair as she fires more laser fire from her arm cannon. Shade is dodging her attacks with her jumping off the walls and pillars. Knuckles spread out arcs of lightning keeping Bunnie on her toes.
Shade leaps at Bunnie to slash at her organic arm to seep energy from Bunnie for her cybernetics to begin to malfunction. "Oh no, I am starting to tire out," Bunnie said as Shade and Knuckle began to tag team on the enemy.
Shade uses her energy blades with Knuckles backing her up with powerful punches. Bunnie puts up a shield but Knuckles powers his next punch. "Deep Impact," Knuckles smash into the shield unleashing a violent burst of energy and stripping it leaving Bunnie vulnerable.
"Drain you dry," Shade slashed her arm several times leaving bloody gashes on her flesh arm. Bunnie is starting to feel very weak as her robot parts are beginning to fail her.
"Damn it," Bunnie catches Knuckles' fist but gets pushed back by his powerful blow. Bunnie goes to punch and match Knuckles' fist but the raw power of his punch destroys Bunnie's robotic arm turning it into scrap metal.
Shade stabs her leech blade into Bunnie's chest to drain her energy until she drops onto the floor unable to move. "She is done now," Shade said.
"Sorry, I let you down Sally," Bunnie blacks out as Nicole links up with the palace's security systems to lock up the doors and windows.
She sees through one of the cameras to see Tails and Amy chasing after Fang. "Tails, Sonic, and the other have managed to capture the two assassins. Fang is the last one standing," Nicole said as Fang set up traps to slow them down.
"Shit, Sally. Our mission has failed, Bunnie and Ether are captured by the royal guards," Fang said on the radio with Sally not pleased with this.
"Bunnie, get out of there now. We need to regroup," Sally said.
"What about the others?" Fang asked.
"We will get them out, one step at a time," Sally said as Fang tossed a flashbang to blind the duo. He fires an explosive round from his pistol to destroy the shutters blocking the window as he disappears down into the royal gardens.
"Gee, he got away," Amy sounded disappointed.
"Don't matter, the royal family is safe and they are bound to be indebted to us," Tails said as Nicole nodded her head.
"Yes indeed they will be," Nicole said as Sonic, Mina, Knuckles, Nicole, and Shade were greeted by the royals.
"We are so grateful for your swift actions here. You managed to save our lives and capture two of the three assassins. We are in your debt," King Puff said.
"Well, some red carpet treatment should be in order," Sonic said.
"Indeed, we need to talk about us working within your borders," Mina said.
"Yes, due to your actions here today. We can put our trust and faith in you. Striker and Echo, give them clearance to work with our defense forces and allow them free access to our borders," the Queen said.
"Yes madam," Striker said as Undina looked on with happiness.
"I am so glad this all worked out in the end. We need all the help we can get with his crazy wizard on the loose," Undina said as the others prepared for their search for the Chaos Emerald within the Northern Ocean.
Elsewhere Sally sees Fang within the Egg Leviathan's command center. "Gee, I barely got out of there," Fang said as Sally slapped him across the face.
"Why the hell did you leave Bunnie like that?" Sally demanded as Fang noticed she didn't care about their other teammate Ether.
"I had no chance, I lost the element of surprise and I had to flee," Fang said.
"Fine, managed to find the location of the Chaos Emerald but the local energies deep here are making it hard to pinpoint where it is precisely. We need more intel and we need to bust out Bunnie along with that psychic fox Ether," Sally said.
"Fine. Bean, Bark, and I will do some recon. Find their weaknesses and plan our attack," Fang said as Sally was thinking about how to press this situation into a favorable outcome.
"I am so close to getting my home back. I will do whatever it takes even if I have to smash that underwater city into rubble. My birthright is all that matters to me now," Sally said as she had a dark grin on her face as she was planning her next scheme to destroy the city and take the emerald for her new master.
Elsewhere within Tails' room in the sub. Cosmo's seedling grows bright against the darkness of the room as the plant begins to grow. "Tails, I am coming home soon," Cosmo's voice echoes into Tails' mind as Tails sports a smile to rest peacefully thinking about his favorite plant girl.
