Chapter 75: Lakeside Joys
Within Miles's fortress, Mecha Sally brings him a valuable prize which is the Ancient Onyx holding the spirit of Tikal. Nicole looks on to see Tikal is suffering inside the gem but Miles and Alicia are not amused by this.
"Hello, it's been so long since I managed to see people again," Tikal said her voice very distorted.
"Crack it open," Miles said as Nicole used a laser to bust the black gem into pieces to free Tikal from her prison. They see Tikal has become one with Chaos for her whole body is just water now. Tikal is on her knees as her body is not stable.
"I need Chaos energy, I am so hungry," Tikal said as she became a puddle of water to speed across the floor to evade the guards.
"She is escaping," Mecha Sally said as she flew off with the Swat Bots behind her trying to seek out Tikal.
"I need energy," Tikal said as she used her water form to slip under a door to see a bunch of Anarchy Beryl gems Miles was storing in there. "Yes finally," she grabs them and absorbs them making herself stronger with Mecha Sally and the Swat Bots right behind her.
"Stand down, we need you to come with us," Mecha Sally uses the arm cannon preparing to stun her.
"I must go to my people, you will not stop me," Tikal said as she reformed into her real body. She turns her arm into a water whip and slices up the robots with Alicia firing energy bolts to hit Tikal. The stun bolts don't do anything against her as she slams her water whip to knock Alicia into a wall.
"Damn it," Alicia is firing energy bolts but Tikal slips out of her range as she blasts the window to rush out into the wilderness. The harsh rain outside is coming up her tracks as her water form is useful for avoiding detection.
"She is gone sir, her water state along with the rain is making it very hard to detect her," Nicole said.
"She seems very unstable. I doubt she would last long out there," Miles said.
"Tikal said about trying to find her people the Echidna," Nicole said.
"Those Echidnas are no threat to me. She can do whatever she wants. Besides Smalls is the real threat here," Miles said as he ordered Alicia away and Nicole resuming her historical research.
Elsewhere Tikal is going through the forest trying to maintain her form under the rain. She hides beneath a tree to make herself normal like she used to be when she was alive. "Gee, what happened to me," Tikal regains her composure as she still feels a deep sense of hunger for Chaos energy.
"I have this deep hunger for Chaos Energy, it's driving me crazy," Tikal said as she detected life energy from Echidnas deep within the ocean. "My people, I need to see them. They could help me," Tikal said as she turned into her water form to go into the ocean to move towards the hidden Demon island. "My people await me," Tikal said as she began to lose her mind to the hunger again.
Back with Sonic and Mina setting up their little R at the beachside resort at Azure Lake. Sonic is in the living room packing up his things with Mina coming downstairs with her things sporting a white tube top, blue shorts, and white sandals.
"I am ready to go, baby," Mina said as she gave him a cute wink.
"Already Mina, let's get going to the Azure Lake," Mina said as they ran out of the city and headed for the resort. Within a few moments, the speedy duo managed to reach the huge crystal blue lake to be amazed by its beauty.
"Wow, this is quite the vacation spot," Sonic said as Mina nodded her head.
"O'Nux is right this place is amazing," Mina said as there is a lovely white building complex which is the hotel suite with a boardwalk right next to the lake giving off a nice relaxing experience.
"Let's get our rooms," Sonic said as they went into the air-conditioned lobby where there is the front desk and the breakfast hub where all the vacationers enjoy their waffles and bagels. There is a holoscreen in the middle of the lobby showing off the news of the day.
"There are big reports on the front between Miles and Smalls. Their forces are fighting in Downunda over the city of New Horizons on the coastline," the reporter said.
"Gee, it's crazy out of there," Mina said.
"Relax Mina, we are at this nice lakeside. We need to kick back and relax," Sonic said.
"Yes, he is right you know," O'Nux appears along with his daughter holding onto their things.
"Hey guys," Lara-Su said as she showed her bright smile.
"What's up guys, going on a vacation too?" Sonic asked.
"Yes, things are getting a bit hectic at the research center. I need time with my daughter to calm my nerves," O'Nux said.
"Daddy has been very busy. I am happy he is with me at the beach today," Lara-Su said.
"That's cool, we just arrived here recently. We need to go to our room," Mina said.
"We will meet you later," Sonic said.
"Alright, see you two later," Lara-Su said to wave to them.
"We will meet up at the beach," Mina said as the couple headed into their room to prepare for their time at the lake beach.
Elsewhere Tikal is using her water form to move through the water to see the massive Demon Island and its energy dome protecting the people and environment inside. "Wow, my people have managed to make something like this. Truly remarkable," Tikal can feel the life of her people feeling fruitful but something I wrong with me.
"Oh no, what is wrong with me? I absorb too much energy," Tikal said as she reached the bottom of the island to seep through the cracks in the rock to go into the lowest levels of Demon Island. She is in a massive cavern. She feels her body is overcome with energy.
"I need to calm down, I just need more energy to keep going," Tikal said as parts of herself began to split off beginning to reach for the surface.
At high noon, Sonic and Mina got to the lobby to be in their swimwear. Sonic is wearing red shorts while Mina is wearing a frilly blue bikini top and matching bikini bottoms.
"Looking handsome Big Blue," Mina flirted as she loved his lean figure being shown off in his swim trunks.
"Looking nice as always," Sonic commented staring at her curvy hourglass figure filling out all the edges of her bikini making her a goddess of the beach.
"So sweet," Mina said as she kissed him on the cheek. "Come on, let's enjoy the lake," Mina said as they relaxed on the white sandy beach of the huge Azure Lake. All the families and couples are enjoying themselves at this peaceful location with the gentle breeze making Mina's long purple hair flow against the currents like a river.
They set up their lawn chairs and a big umbrella for Sonic to lay onto the lawn chairs with Mina setting up the blanket and placing a basket on it. Sonic spreads out his three toes with some of the sand getting in between them. "So soft to the touch," he said as he stared at Mina bending over to show off her big booty and long tail framing her bottoms while staring down her shapely legs.
"I made all sorts of snacks for us baby. We are going to have a picnic on the beach," Mina said as all her homecooked food was still warm. She looks over to see her husband sharing her butt and legs. "See something you like baby?" she asked.
"Yep, for sure," Sonic said as Mina giggled jumping on top of him.
"Like the view here now?" she flirted with her vast cleavage in clear view showing off lots of boob meat.
"Most definitely," Sonic flirted back as they made out for a bit. She gets off of him as she sits on her chair.
"This is so wonderful, this view is killer out of here," Mina said.
"Yeah, it sure is," Sonic said as Mina looked at the families here to see how cute the little echidnas were running in the sand and making sandcastles.
"They are so adorable, kids are the best," Mina said.
"They add charm whenever there are," Sonic said as Mina smiled at him thinking about their children in the future.
"Oh Sonic, our children will be so cute here playing in the sands like this," Mina said as she had fantasies of herself and Sonic bringing their hybrid children.
"The Rapids Family Unit going to hit the waves. Sounds pretty cool to me," Sonic said.
"Yes, it would be," Mina said as her dream has been done with her marriage to Sonic and she wants another dream to come true which is bearing Sonic's children. "Come on, let's hit the waters. I will make sure you don't drown," Mina said playfully.
"Yeah, yeah. I got my bubble shield. So, I will be okay," Sonic said as they went into the water to begin exploring the edges of the lake. Mina is swimming in the water like a fish with Sonic trying to keep up but not being as good as Mina is.
"Come on baby, keep up," Mina said as she saw all the fishes in the lake which were quite cute and colorful. Mina looks over to see a kite-shaped fish that is brushing against her legs to harmlessly swim away. "Cute fish," she thought as she raised back into the water's edge.
Sonic pops his head out of the water. "Well, no fish in your boobs this time," Sonic joked as Mina's large breasts are floating in the water.
"Yep, lucky me," Mina said as Sonic grabbed onto her.
"Follow my lead," Sonic summons a bubble to head down to the bottom of the lake. "To get a better view of the lake," Sonic said as they watched all the different fishes swimming above and around them.
"This is so nice," Mina puts her arm around his chest to enjoy the magical sights of the fishes all around them.
"Yep, quite the sight," Sonic shoots up the bubble back to the surface to pop it allowing them back into the water.
"Oh man, this water feels so nice," Mina said as the cool water brushed against her fur and hair.
"Yo," Anti Knuckles said as he was in the water with his daughter sitting on his shoulders.
"What's up O'Nux," Sonic said.
"You look so cute," Mina commented on her purple one-piece bathing suit.
"Thanks to Daddy for picking it out for me," Lara-Su said as they got back to the shores of the beach. Lara-Su leaps off her father's shoulders to plant her feet into the wet sand. "You have fun in the water," she asked.
'Yeah, we saw some cool-looking fish down here," Sonic said.
"Azure Lake is a pretty display of nature's beauty. We wanted to set up this beach resort to allow everyone on Demon Island to check this for themselves. It was well worth the investment to make all this possible," O'Nux said.
"Daddy takes me fishing here. All the fishes are so pretty here," Lara-Su said as Anti-Knuckles rubbed her hair gently.
"It's quite a fun experience. You both should try it out soon," Anti-Knuckles said as Mina's stomach growled for she glowed in the face.
"Gee, I am pretty hungry. We should get going to her spot and eat some food for our picnic," Mina said.
"Well, we can play later when you are done," Lara-Su said as the father and daughter went off in the other direction.
Mina opens up the basket to show two Bentos she packed for them both. "Here baby, I made them convenient and easy to store the food," she said as Sonic opened it up to see fried chicken, rice balls, fruit salad, and sweetened carrot sticks.
"Pretty balanced," Sonic said as Mina sat on the blanket under the umbrella. She takes the chopsticks to grab a piece of chicken to bite into it as her mouth is enjoying the zesty crispy taste.
"Damn, I outdo myself," Mina said as Sonic grabs from one of the rice balls to bite into it to enjoy it.
"Good as always. Master Chef," Sonic joked as Mina giggled at this.
"I know how to get into your stomach," Mina said as they began to feast on their Bento meals.
"You know me too well, just do some dessert dogs last time when we get back to the resort room," Sonic said as Mina nodded her head.
"Yes, I haven't done that recipe in a while now. I would try that out," Mina said as they were enjoying their meal.
Elsewhere O'Nux and Lara-Su are making a sandcastle with the little girl being helped she managed to make a big one. The wave comes in and washes the sandcastle away making the little girl disappointed.
"Oh, we work so hard to make that," Lara-Su said pouting at this. O'Nux laughs at this as he pats her little head.
"Don't worry about it, we can make another one. In time, we can make an even better sandcastle," O'Nux said as Lara-Su calmed down.
"Okay, that would be cool to do," Lara-Su said as something approached them to be right near the little Echidna. She looks over to see a weird puddle of water approaching her. "Father, this water looks weird," she said as Anti-Knuckles looked over to see the puddle for he was shocked to see who is it.
"You got to be kidding me," O'Nux said as he made his daughter get behind him.
Sonic finishes his Bento lunch to pats his stomach to wash it down with some water from his bottle. "Oh man, that was amazing. Babe," Sonic said as Mina let out a cute burp.
"Oh yeah, it was pretty good for me too. This picnic was great, we should do this more often," Mina said as they heard screaming to look in the other direction. "What the hell is going on here?" Mina wondered as they saw Anti Knuckles get tossed across the sands and crash nearby.
"O'Nux, what is going on here?" Sonic questioned to see Lara-Su rushing over to her father to check to see if he was okay. "Chaos?" Sonic is confused to see Chaos 0 standing there bending the water from the lake to leash out whips of water to cut up the sands.
All the people on the beach are running toward the resort center to seek shelter. The water whips were about to strike the O'Nux and Lara-Su but Sonic used his bubble shield to block the attacks. Mina flings fireballs to pepper Chaos 0 but he gathers a wall of water to block her attacks.
"Gee, it's like Déjà vu," Sonic remembers when he was 15 years old in Station Square fighting Chaos 0 near City Hall.
"How is he here, I thought he was sealed away," Mina said as he stomped her feet to encase Chaos in a blue cube while using his Light Speed Attack to slam into Chaos 0 to knock him into a dune.
"Sir, we need to secure you and your daughter's safety," one of Anti-Knuckles' guards shows up to help him up. He looks down at his daughter to make sure she is safe.
"Okay, Mina and Sonic. Deal with Chaos and we will talk about getting to the bottom of this," O'Nux said as he took his daughter to a safe place while the couple fought Chaos 0.
Mina goes in to deliver a powerful kick but Chaos 0 eats the blow and knocks Mina away. Chaos ) slams his claw into the sand to unleash a bed of water spikes aiming for Sonic. He easily avoids the attack by using his Homing Attack to strike his head to turn him back into a puddle of water.
Mina gets back onto her feet trying to seal Chaos 0 into a blue cube again but Chaos 0 avoids her traps. Chaos 0 reforms to twist the water in the Azure Lake to unleash orbs of water to seek out their targets. She lobs fireballs to blast them out of the air but one gets through and slams into them triggering a big watery explosion to knock them both away.
"Laser," Mina transforms a beam of light to tackle Chaos 0. She mule kicks him onto the ground and begins to zap Chaos 0 with lightning strikes doing some good damage.
Chaos 0 knocks Mina backward by Sonic slams into the water beast with a Spin Dash to knock him into the lake.
"Lightning," Mina begins to zap the water until Chaos 0 vanishes into vapor.
"Gee, that is nuts," Sonic said.
"Yeah, let's talk with O'Nux at the resort," Mina said as the couple headed over to the resort to speak with O'Nux.
"Seems like you took care of Chaos," O'Nux said.
"I had experience fighting him before in my world," Sonic said.
"I can't believe he is here," O'Nux said.
"Does that mean Tikal has been freed from the Ancient Onyx?" Mina asked.
"Seems like it and now she is here. We need to go back to the Research Center and plan out our attack to contain her again," O'Nux said as they had to cut their vacation short to deal with Tikal and Chaos' return.
Elsewhere within the depths of the underground cave system. Tikal is falling apart with all the Chaos energy she has gathered is making her unstable. "Please someone help me, Chaos is making my body seek hunger," Tikal said trying to maintain her mind as several parts of her split off from her to spread out and seek out more targets for it was beyond her control to be driven by her hunger for Chaos energy.
