Chapter 76: Tribe or Hunger Pt 1
Tikal is in her cavern thinking about her past with her last memories being her saving the tribe from Chaos' rage by using her soul to bend Chaos to her and sealing herself in the Ancient Onyx. "My people survived but I can't control myself," Tikal said as several pieces of herself spread all over the place bearing different forms of Chaos to protect her location from outside threats.
"Please someone, save me. I want to be with my people but this hunger would hurt them," Tikal said.
Elsewhere Sonic and Mina went with O'Nux to the Research Center to be detecting Tikal's DNA in the Chaos 0 copy they fought at Azure Lake. "Yep, it's for sure Tikal. She has been one with Chaos, gaining his powers," Anti Knuckles said.
"Gee, this is pretty bad. We need to contain her and sort this out," Mina said as O'Nux nodded his head.
"I agree, she is a Guardian. We need to aid her and stop this crisis before things get worse. Take this, the radar should be able to detect Chaos energy, and the form is made of it. You should be able to track her down and put her in this container," O'Nux hands them a container that will be used to keep her sealed and safe.
"Okay Mina, let's go," Sonic said.
"Yeah, let's do it to it," Mina said as the two speedsters went off to find Tikal's hidden location while O'Nux headed over to see Silver, Fiona, Bernadette, and Bunnie in the other room.
"Seems like Tikal is making Chaos copies. You all need to be cautious and track down the Chaos Copies and destroy them. We can't let them cause harm to my people," Anti Knuckles said.
"Of course, it's the least we can do for you guys," Bunnie said as she armed her laser cannon to be prepared for the fight.
"I am ready to kick some major ass," Fiona said as she pulls out her laser pistol.
"We will do our best," Silver said as he charged up his body with psychic energy.
"I will do what I can to maintain peace on this island," Bernadette said.
"Good and we got signals to four Chaos copies to these locations. Seek them out and destroy them," O'Nux said as the four split up to find the Chaos Copies Tikal has spread out from her broken state. "Tikal, we are going to save you," O'Nux said as he has deep respect for this woman and will everything in his power to save her from her madness.
Elsewhere Sonic and Mina are using the radar to seek out Tikal's location. "Gee, it's weird isn't it?" Mina asked.
"How so?" he asked.
'Well due to the Chaos Incident in Station Square. We have met due to that happening," Mina said as she blushed at those happy memories of first meeting him in the rain.
"Yeah crazy world right," Sonic said to be blushing as well from this.
"We found each other then and we never looked back since," Mina said.
"Yep it's the best thing that happened to me in a long time," Sonic said.
"Yes you get to meet your future wife," Mina said.
"Yeah, I am a lucky guy. Now we can fight Chaos together this time," Sonic said as Mina happily nodded her head.
"Yes, I can. Back then I was a weak little girl who could barely control my speed but now. I am your equal now and I help you fight Chaos this time and save Tikal," Mina said.
"Right, come on. Let's keep moving," Sonic said as the two go at swift speeds for them to get close. They find a large mountain range which has the mouth of a cavern.
"Seems like we need to go deep underground," Mina said as they went into the caverns to see lovely crystals hanging from the ceilings. "Gee, so pretty here," Mina said as she saw the purple crystal shine against the dim light within the spacious caves.
"We can explore these when we have the time after this is over," Sonic said.
"That would be great to explore here," Mina said as there was a tight space they could squeeze through by going into balls. They slip through to be within a huge area that has a waterfall leading deeper into the depths of the caverns.
"Gee, seems like this goes on," Sonic said as Mina sensed something behind them.
"Sonic lookout," Mina said as she summons a wall of stone for a beam of water to cut through it like butter. Mina launches spears of rock to aim for the target. Chaos knocks them away with his claws for they notice he is Chaos 2.
"Gee, I never fought this version of him before but Knuckles fought him before," Sonic said as Mina saw this Chaos is much stronger than Chaos 0.
"Yeah, you did mention it before. Time to knock him down a peg," Mina uses Laser to go at the speed of light to tackle Chaos 2 but he manages to catch her and toss her into a wall.
Chaos 2 fires a beam of water from his mouth with Sonic summoning a bubble shield but Chaos 2 manages to overpower it and pierce it. The water attack hits Sonic and sends him flying across the cavern. Mina uses Hover to stop the water beams in mid-air and sends them across the cavern.
Mina encases Chaos 2 in a rocky tomb to crush them with insane pressure but Chaos 2 uses his water form to seep out of the rock tomb. Chaos 2 warps the waterfall to spread the water across the cavern. Mina is summoning walls of earth to block the incoming waves of water but they get smashed on impact.
"Shit," Mina is creating holes in the ground to trap the water inside with Sonic using his Homing Attack to strike Chaos 2's head to reduce him to his puddle form. She is lobbing Plasma orbs to crash onto the earth with Chaos 2 avoiding her attacks.
"Please help me," Tikal's voice comes out of Chaos 2 for Sonic is surprised by this.
"Tikal?" Sonic wondered as a pillar of water exploded from the pocket Mina made. Cjaos 2 slammed into Sonic launching him against a rocky pillar. Chaos 2 unleashed all the water in the area to send out a massive wave that swept up the couple to send them further down into the depths of the caverns. They try to regain their composure but they bump into the walls with Mina's tank top getting destroyed by a sharp rock slashing it from the front.
They fly out of a hole to land on a pile of dirt as Sonic is on top of Mina. His face is shoved into her chest. "Oh boy, that was nuts. Thankfully my boobs broke your fall," Mina teased as Sonic gets up to see Mina only has on her blue sports bra containing her huge G cup tits.
"A welcome surprise," Sonic said.
"Yes, the tank top got destroyed by a rock. Thankfully I can use my sports bra like a top," Mina said as she still had her brown khaki shorts intact.
"Would be a real shame if those shorts got destroyed too," Sonic said as he would love to see her fighting in her underwear seeing all her curves bouncing all over the place.
"Well, you can enjoy the view of my boobs bouncing in the wind and you can enjoy the rest later once this is over. Come on, we need to track down Tikal and take out Chaos 2," Mina said as the couple went deeper into the caves with Chaos 2 stalking them in the shadows.
Elsewhere Fiona is looking for the Chaos copy within the forest near the city. "Gee Chaos, this is not good," Fiona thought as she powered up her robotic arms.
"Fiona, keep a look out. Chaos 0's form is not as strong but he is still dangerous," Belle said on the radio.
"Yeah I know, I know how to handle dangerous beasts," Fiona said as she wielded her laser pistol to see a tree getting tossed at her. She flips away to see Chaos 0 as he is firing orbs of water with Fiona dodging rolling out of the path of the watery blasts destroying sections of forest.
"Aim for the head," Belle commented as Fiona fired her pistol for the laser bolt to strike Chaos' head to put him back into his puddle state.
"Not a bad shot," Fiona said as Chaos 0 used his claw to stretch out and strike Fiona in the stomach to knock her into a tree. Chaos 0 uses his water whip to slice up trees as Fiona rolls away from the rapid-fire assault.
She catches the water beams into her arm to charge it up to unleash a beam of energy from her palm to blast him in the head turning him back into a puddle. Chaos 0 swipes his claw to knock Fiona into a tree to hurt her back.
"Damn water sprouts," Fiona said as she pounds her charged-up arm onto the ground to unleash a shockwave to blow Chaos 0 Copy away. She pulls out her sticky grenades to latch them onto trees to blow up the tree trunks trying to crush Chaos under these big trees.
The water beast is dodging the incoming falling trees with Fiona tosses a shock grenade to shock them into place. She blows up a trunk and aims it towards a stunned Chaos to crush him by destroying the copy for good.
"Good, I managed to destroy a Copy here," Fiona said.
'Good, three more copies to go. The others should be getting to their locations shortly," Belle said as Bunnie used her rocket feet to fly towards the mountains tracking down the Chaos 0 Copy. "Bunnie, how far are you from your objective?" Belle asked on the radio.
"I am doing fine, I am getting close to the target area," Bunnie lands onto the rocky floor with Chaos 0 Copy watching Bunnie from the shadows. "Where did that little son of a bitch go?" she wondered as she pounds the floor with her robotic fist to surge energy to reveal Chaos 0 location.
"There you are," Bunnie flies towards the beast as Chaos tries to hit her with his water beams. She dodges and weaves through his barrage to deliver a powerful kick to knock Chaos into a tree. She throws her arm into a flamethrower to unleash plumes of flames.
Chaos matches the attack with his water beam when hitting the plumes of flames. This causes steam to burst all around them as Chaos gets close to a small pool of water.
He begins to bend parts of the pool into blades of water to send them flying into Bunnie. She dodges the incoming sharp projectiles as she lobs balls of flames to hit the ground to burst out mini flame orbs to catch Chaos in fiery explosions.
Chaos shoves his claws into the ground to tear up the earth trying to catch Bunnie but she knocks them away with her robotic limbs and super strength. He fires an energy beam to slam into his head to make him explode to crash onto the ground.
Chaos 0 Copy reforms and begins to grab all the water to use it to trap Bunnie in a sphere of water trying to drown her inside it. Bunnie puts up an energy shield to cloak her whole body for Chaos causing the sphere to implode crushing anything inside with ease except for Bunnie due to the shield negating most of the damage.
"Thank goodness, that was close," Bunnie flies into Chaos to grab onto his head and toss him into a tree. "Eat this water fiend," Bunnie aims her arm cannon to increase the power and fire her big energy beam to engulf Chaos 0 Copy destroying it completely.
"Okay Belle, I managed to wipe out the copy," Bunnie said as Belle nodded her head.
"Good, two out of the four copies are destroyed. We are going smoothly here and now Sonic and Mina have to seal Tikal so we can take care of her," Belle said.
"Alright, I will head back to base," Bunnie said as she used her rocket feet to fly back to the research center.
Elsewhere Mina and Sonic keep going to confront Chaos 2 again to see the water creature unleashing beams of water at them. She summons a wall of stone to block the attack with Sonic using a Light Speed Attack to slam into Chaos 2 to send it into a wall to break apart. Then the creature reforms itself to lob orbs of water trying to catch them.
Mina flings blots of lightning to vaporize the incoming water attacks. She transforms into a drill to dig into the ground with Sonic using his Diamond Rush to curl up into a ball to become as hard of diamond to speed towards Chaos 2.
The monster flings beams of water to score hits on Sonic but he can block it while slamming into its body to take it down. Mina comes out of the ground to strike Chaos 2's brain to disable it while using her lightning to fry Chaos 2 unless it gets vaporized into nothingness.
"Please help me, I can't help this hunger for Chaos energy. Please," Tikal's voice echoes throughout the caverns.
"We need to help her," Mina said to check the container which O'Nux gave them which will be used to seal her safely.
"Yep, we need to keep moving. It's going to get worse," Sonic said as the two speedsters ran through the caverns with water coming down from the holes on the sides.
"Those Chaos copies could come from anywhere," Mina said patting her bra to see it got wet clinging to her fur.
"How far are you down there?" Belle asked on the radio earpiece.
"We are quite a bit down here, we defeated Chaos 2. I bet there is Chaos 4 and 6 down here before we encounter Tikal,"
"No doubt, be careful. Okay," Belle said to cut off the line.
They find a huge cavern filled with pools of water with beautiful waterfalls coming from the walls. "So lovely here," she said to see purple crystals hanging from the ceiling to see the vastness of the area.
"Look," Sonic said to see Chaos 4 appear.
"Energy, please give me energy," Tikal begged through the Chaos 4 to see it roaring at them.
"Another one, more powerful too. Time to step it up," Mina said.
"Indeed, let's do it to it," Sonic said as Mina giggled from the cheesy phrases he usually says which from his mouth sounds much cooler.
"Of course," Mina said as the loving pair went to confront the new form of Chaos.
Elsewhere Anti Eggman looks on from the center's screens hoping for the situation to reach a good result. "Once we manage to get Tikal inside the container, I will work to find a means to keep her hunger in check," he said while talking with O'Nux.
"Thank you doctor that will be helpful. If Tikal takes and absorbs our Anarchy Beryl. The barrier would fall and expose us to the ocean killing everyone inside," Anti Knuckles said.
"Indeed, keep me posted on the situation," Anti Eggman said as he looked over to see an old photo of his Grandfather Gerald and his Cousin Maria.
"Grandfather you managed to pull yourself in the end. Once a vicious warlord bent on conquering the planet and then you saw the light at the end. Unlike the rest of humanity, you tried to do one good deed before you went out. Curing my cruel cousin Maria from her illness, even though she didn't deserve it because of how twisted her mind was," Dr. Ivo Kintobor said feeling chills thinking about his deeply disturbed cousin.
"She had the same illness NIDS which Bunnie also has but I managed to help her with cybernetics. Sadly Maria didn't have that technology back in the day. Grandfather did something so wrong to help her but that was buried in the past. Hopefully, it stays in the past," he said as he last saw them over 1000 years ago before he got put into Cyro sleep.
"I need to focus on the task at hand. Hopefully, my family's baggage will not come to haunt us all," Anti Eggman said as he kept going with helping the others contain Tikal.
