Chapter 6-Just The Beginning
Al's P.O.V
Al pulls the van into Hilltop. Charlie was in the seat beside her. Tara and Maggie were driving the trucks. Al stops the van and looks at Charlie. "You okay?" Al asks Charlie, who nods.
"Yeah, I'm just worried about Daryl," Charlie says.
"He survived a gunshot. He'll be fine," Al tells her. Charlie nods as they get out of the van. Maggie and Tara get out and walk over to them.
"Now what?" Al asks Maggie.
"We continue to expand," Maggie tells her. "We have been building walls around the crops. We help whenever we can," Al nods. "Tara, can you take Charlie to her room?" Tara nods as she leads Charlie away.
"Is something wrong?" Al asks Maggie, who shakes her head.
"I have a check-up. I was wondering if you would come. Enid usually does, but you know," Maggie says.
"I'll come," Al tells Maggie, who nods as she leads her towards the trailer.
"Maggie," Kal says as he walks over to her. Maggie turns and looks at him.
"What is it?" Maggie asks.
"A few saviors ran off with some of our supplies," Kal says.
"When did this happen?" Maggie asks Kal in anger.
"Last night. Two of them were on watch, and the next morning, a few guns were missing, and some food was," Kal says.
"How many of them and how many guns?" Maggie asks.
"Five for both," Kal says. "They were all in Alden's outpost,"
"Radio Alexandria. Alden may know where they were going," Maggie tells Kal, who nods as he walks away.
"Come on. They'll figure this out," Al says. Maggie nods as she follows her.
Alden's P.O.V
Alden walks into the church and sees Rick and Michonne talking. "What's up, Rick?" Alden asks them.
"We have a problem, and you may be the only one who can solve it," Rick says.
"What is it?" Alden asks.
"Five saviors took guns and food from Hilltop last night. They were all from the outpost you came from," Michonne says.
"You don't think I have any part of this, do you?" Alden asks.
"No, Tara vouched for you. We know what you did at Hilltop. I'm trusting you now to help us. They have guns. They could kill people or try to get Negan. We need your help," Rick says.
"Do you have names?" Alden asks.
"Lucas, Clark, Liam, Elijah, and Sadie," Rick says.
"Yeah, that makes sense," Alden says. "They were pissed about Negan being locked up. They lost family because of what Eugene did,"
"So you think they could be after Eugene?" Rick says.
"They could be," Alden says. "I'll go after them,"
"You can't do it by yourself," Rick says.
"Who should I take?" He asks.
"Ask Luciana, Strand, Cole, and Troy. You guys should be able to handle it. Daniel is planning the warehouse with Aaron," Rick says. Alden nods as he leaves. He walks to Daryl's house and knocks. Luciana opens the door and looks at him.
"Hey, Alden. What's up?" Luciana asks.
"Can I come in?" Alden asks. Luciana nods as she lets him in. They walk into the dining room and see Strand, Cole, and Troy playing cards. "You guys have nothing better to do?"
"No. We are waiting for a plan," Troy says. "What do you need?"
"I need your help," Alden says.
"With what exactly?" Strand asks as he sets his cards down.
"There are a few rogue saviors. Five from Hilltop, and they have guns," Alden says.
"We'll help," Luciana says.
"Yes, we will," Strand says as he stands. "Do you know where they are?"
"A have a few ideas. We had places we planned on going in case our outpost fell. I'm hoping they went to one of those. We can take your truck," Alden says. They nod as they head outside and to the truck.
"Alden," Rick says as he walks up to them. Alden looks at Rick, who holds a handgun out to him. He had two clips and a holster with him.
"You sure?" Alden asks.
"Yeah, prove to me you can be trusted. None of the saviors have a gun. Don't make me regret this," Rick says. Alden nods as he grabs the gun and puts the holster on.
"Thank you," Alden says. Rick nods as Alden climbs into the driver's side.
Maggie's P.O.V
Maggie sat in her office after the check-up. Tara opens the door and walks in. "You okay?" Tara asks.
"No, five saviors left during the night with guns, and they could be trying to break Negan out and kill Eugene. I left them here unsupervised," Maggie says.
"Is someone going after them?" Tara asks.
"Rick said Alden was with Luciana, Troy, Strand, and Cole. They'll get them and get our guns back," Tara tells Maggie, who nods. "How did the check-up go?"
"Good. Al is showing Charlie around Hilltop. Siddiq said the baby was doing fine," Maggie tells Tara as she sits down.
"It seems like you and Al are getting along," Tara says.
"She's fun to be around," Maggie tells her. "It's nice having some new people,"
"Yeah, it is," Tara says. "Do you trust them? The group Daryl brought back,"
"Daryl does," Maggie says. "How are you doing with Dwight coming back?"
"I was with the Governor. I may not have killed anybody. But I know what it is like to be on the wrong side. I can't look at him without seeing Denise," Tara says.
"Daryl brought him back. If Daryl is willing to give Dwight a second chance. Maybe you should too," Maggie says.
"Maybe," Tara says. "Come on. You aren't sitting in here by yourself and waiting for something to happen," Maggie nods as she follows Tara out.
Alden's P.O.V
Alden stops the truck about a mile away from a rendezvous and turns the truck off. "Why did we stop?" Luciana asks.
"If they are here. We need to sneak up on them," Alden tells them. They nod as they get out of the truck. They grab their weapons and start to walk through the woods. Alden walked in the front by himself. Luciana walks up beside him.
"Are you going to be able to kill these guys?" Luciana asks.
"We might not have to kill them," Alden says.
"You really believe that?" Troy asks him.
"No," Alden says. "If I have to, I'll kill them," Alden tells her. "Rick's way of life is better than Negan's," They nod as they walk in silence. They get close to a building and see a savior outside. "That's Clark," Alden walks to the open window.
"Okay, tonight we will scale the walls of Alexandria. We will take Eugene hostage and get Negan back. After we will kill Eugene and head towards Ohio," Liam says. Alden sighs as he looks at them.
"Cole, Strand, go to the back. Troy stay here and guard the window. Luciana and I will take the front," Alden says. They nod as they move. Alden pulls out his knife and goes behind Clark. He grabs Clark by his mouth and stabs him in the back of the head. Alden lays him down, and they head to the front door. "Kick the door in on three," Luciana says. "One...two...three," Luciana kicks the door, and Luciana shoots Elijah in the chest. Strand and Cole kick in the back door and shoot Sadie and Lucas. Troy aims through the window and shoots Liam in the stomach. They all walk in. Alden walks up to Liam. "Why did you do this?"
"Fuck you," Liam says as the others start to shoot the other four in the head. "You think this is it? This is just the beginning," Liam says before he dies. Alden shoots him in the head.
"What do you think he meant?" Cole asks.
"Nothing good," Alden says as he picks up Liam's gun. "Come on. Let's get going. We'll drop these off at Hilltop," They nod as they leave the building.
Hilltop
Luciana's P.O.V
Alden drives the truck into Hilltop and turns it off. Maggie walks over to him with Al and Tara. "Guns are in the back," Alden tells her. Tara nods as she goes to the back.
"Where are the saviors?" Al asks.
"They're dead," Troy says.
"Hey, you mind if I get a shower?" Alden asks Maggie.
"Go for it," Maggie says. Alden nods as he walks away. "Is he okay?"
"Those were his friends, and he had to kill them," Luciana says. "He just wants to be trusted," Maggie nods.
"Come on. I bet you guys are hungry. I'll get you something to eat while Alden showers," Maggie says. They nod as they follow her.
Daniel's P.O.V
Daniel sat in Aaron's house with Jesus and Aaron. "So we now have support from Kingdom, Oceanside, and Hilltop. That is manpower covered," Jesus says.
"Yes, but if we just shoot all those walkers, we could attract another herd," Aaron says.
"Those loading bays were closed," Daniel says. "Even if we could burn the walkers. How would we get them in there?"
"We could build a pathway. Or a barrier to hold them in a straight line. Make them go to the end and kill them and then move them. We'll have the manpower to keep the barrier strong," Aaron says.
"That could work. Maybe we could use the Rv's," Jesus says. "There should be two entrances. We should try to split the herd apart,"
"We'll put some people with guns on top of the trucks. If too many walkers push on the barrier, they can kill them," Daniel says.
"We can ride out to the Kingdom tomorrow," Jesus says. "Go to Hilltop on the way back," Daniel and Aaron nod.
"Do you two want to stay for dinner?" Aaron asks as he goes to get Gracie.
"Sure. I don't know when the others will be back," Daniel says. Aaron nods as he looks at Jesus, who nods.
Alden's P.O.V
It was dark as Alden pulled back into Alexandria. He stops the truck by Daryl's house. "I'll see you guys," Alden says as he gets out.
"You want to stay?" Luciana asks. "You can sleep here,"
"Sure. Let me go talk to Rick," Alden says. They nod as he walks to Rick's house. He knocks on the door. Rick opens it and looks at him. "We have a problem," Alden says. Rick lets him inside and leads him to the kitchen where Michonne was.
"What is it?" Rick asks.
"We killed them and got the guns to Hilltop. Before Liam died, he told me this was just the beginning," Alden says.
"You think there are more like him?" Rick asks.
"I do. But we are so split up we can't tell who is like them," Alden says.
"Yeah, I want you to go to Sanctuary tomorrow. You know some of them. Take Troy and Luciana," Rick says. Alden nods as he pulls the handgun out. He holds it out to Rick. "Keep it," Alden holsters the gun.
"Good night," Alden says as he leaves. He walks to Luciana's house and goes to the chair. He closes his eyes, knowing something bad was coming.

The next chapter will be focused on Daryl's group. The next two chapters will be on the same day, focused on two different groups.
