Chapter 71- A Bigger World

Morgan's P.O.V.

Two and a half years Later

The sound of a crying baby was heard from the campgrounds early in the morning. Morgan sat by Rosita as June held the baby in her hands. Morgan held Rosita's hand as June handed Rosita their child. Rosita smiles at the baby and then at Morgan. "I'll give you guys a minute," June says as she leaves. Morgan stares at his daughter and smiles.

"You doing okay?" Rosita asks him softly.

"I should be asking you that. You just had a baby." Morgan says. Rosita nods with a tired grin as the door opens, and Daryl, John, Negan, and Shane walk in.

"At this point, we'll repopulate the world in the next ten years," Negan says with a grin.

"Hopefully, you won't help," Rosita says with a smirk.

"I'm in no hurry to have a child," Negan tells her, raising his hands in surrender and horror at him being a full-time parent.

"So, what's her name?" Shane asks, focusing back to the child.

"Socorro Duane Jones," Rosita says.

"I am not going to try and pronounce that," Negan deadpanned amusedly.

"Same," John nodded.

"Ditto," Shane grinned

"Just call her Coco," Morgan rolled his eyes in exasperated amusement.

"We'll let you sleep. Tell us if you need anything," Daryl says. They nod as they leave the room. Morgan smiles as Rosita hands him, Coco. June came in a few minutes later.

"I need to make sure she's healthy," June says. They nod as they hand Coco to June. "Get some rest. Both of you."

Rosita nods as she lays her head down, Morgan sitting down next to her in his chair.

Carl's P.O.V

Carl climbed out of bed and walked to his closet. He grabbed underwear, pants, a t-shirt, and a flannel and put his clothes on. He walked to Enid's side of the bed and kissed her head. She opened one eye and looked at him in annoyance. "Come on, get dressed," Carl says.

"But I'm comfortable," Enid groans.

"Maggie and Beth are coming today. Come on," Carl says. Enid nods as she stands up and walks to their closet as Carl leaves the room. He walks downstairs and smiles at the girl sitting at the table with a plate of eggs.

"I made eggs, Dad," She says. Carl nods as he walks into the kitchen. The girl's name was Arya, and she used to be a part of Jocelyn's group, having been taken from another community when she was 5. For the first year there were alot of late nights, fights, and even twice had to stop her from running away, but after a while, she came around to Carl and Enid. She was 11 when Jocelyn was with her, but now she was 13. She had black hair and blue eyes, very short for her age at around 5 feet. She had been passionate and outspoken, but sometimes had a very fowl mouth that the pair often had to correct. She was slim and delicate, but only 6 months ago was allowed to carry a gun and knife again "Mom still sleeping?"

"She'll be down soon," Carl says. "Maggie and Beth are coming today. Jesus and Kenny should be back from their run today."

"Really? They've been gone for like two weeks," Arya says.

"It was a long run. They wanted to see if they could find any people or communities," Carl says as he sits at the table. She nods as Enid comes down and goes to the kitchen. She comes in a few minutes later with a cup of coffee and a plate. She sits down and rubs her eyes.

"It looks like you would rather be anywhere but here," Arya says.

"I want to sleep," Enid says as she starts to eat, Arya and Carl starting to laugh, causing her to throw a fork at Carl.

Maggie's P.O.V

Maggie and Beth ride their horses into Alexandria and climb off them. They hand them off to Scott, who takes them to the stables. They turn, smiling at Michonne and Rick as they walk towards them with Judith and their daughter Andrea, toddling along side them both. "Rosita had her baby," Rick informs them. "She went into labor last night. I'm going to go to the campgrounds tomorrow," Rick tells them.

"I'll have to go see them too, Beth says. "Hey, Judith!" Beth says with a smile, bending down, and spreading her arms. Judith smiles as she runs up to Beth and hugs her.

"Where are Carl and Enid?" Maggie asks as she looks around, at first hearing the story uneasy around the young child who seemed to be almost part of a cult, but quickly came to adore Arya.

"They'll be here," Rick says as Michonne picks Andrea up. "How are Hershel and Al?"

"Good, but damn exhausting." Maggie says as they start to walk, rubbing her eyes. "Hershel likes to run around Hilltop and hide from us, and it is giving both Al and me enough exercise."

Rick grinned, remembering Carl being much the same, as they walk towards the church where they are meeting Carl and Enid.

Clementine's P.O.V

Clementine sat on the porch watching A.J. and Gracie as they played. She looked at Anne as she walked up to her. "Hey, kid," Anne says as she sits down beside her.

"Where have you been? I haven't seen you around," Clementine says.

"I was at the Kingdom helping with some wall repairs. Ezekiel needed some volunteers, and I said I would do it," Anne tells her. Clementine nods. "Kenny back yet?"

"Nope, they've been gone for two weeks, and we haven't heard a word from them," Clementine says.

"They're fine," Anne brushed her concern aside. "They know what they are doing? Where's Lilly?"

"She is at the infirmary," Clementine says as she stands up. "I'm hungry. You want to join us?" She asks Anne, who nods as they walk inside with the kids.

Nick's P.O.V

Nick hits a walker on the side of his head. He spins around and stabs the tip of the stick through another walker as Sherry stabs one behind him. Sherry drops the body and breathes heavily. "So why did you decide to sign us up for clearing groups of walkers?" Sherry asks him.

"Because sitting in Kingdom is boring," Nick says as he stabs a walker that was on the ground.

"Well, it's almost time for lunch. Can we go back? I need a shower. I'm covered in blood," Sherry says as she walks back towards the Kingdom. Nick chuckles as he follows her through the woods. They walked in silence until they reached Kingdom. Jerry pushed the door open.

"How'd it go?" Jerry asks.

"The small horde is gone," Nick says as they walk into Kingdom.

"Good job, guys," Jerry says as he pats their shoulders. They walk through the Kingdom greeting people as they walk into the apartment building. They walk up to the second floor and into their apartment. Nick sets his stick down and falls on the bed. Sherry smiles as she falls down beside him and lays her head on his chest.

"If you get blood on the sheets, you're cleaning them," She says softly. Nick smiles as he kisses her head. "Come on, get up."

"Why?" Nick asks.

"Because we need to shower," Sherry says with a grin as she grabs his hand and leads him into the bathroom.

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl walks towards the barn they had made with a bag of chicken seed on his back. "Daddy!" He turns around and looks at Merle as he runs up to him. The kid had grown up and looked like Daryl but had his mother's features. He had short brown hair and green eyes, and around an inch or so taller then his sister "Can I help?" Merle asks him.

"Where's your sister?" Daryl asks him.

"With Grandma. She's helping her pick the tomatoes," Merle says.

"Okay, come on," Daryl says. Merle smiles as he follows his Dad into the barn. holding his hand as he walked. Daryl looks at Negan, who was with some of the goats they had found. "This looks perfect. You look like you belong in a pen full of goats," Daryl says as he sets the bag down and pulls his knife out.

"You think I look good in here, Merle?" Negan asks the boy.

"No, you're too tall," Merle answers innocently. Negan smiles as he pushes the door open and steps out.

"From the leader of the Saviors to a farmhand," Daryl says. "Oh, how the mighty have fallen."

"Hey screw you, at least I'm not going bald," Negan shoots back.

Daryl froze "What?"

"Nah, just kidding, all the leader stuff is probably gonna make your damn hair fall out."

Daryl glared for a moment, then just huffed as he fills up a bowl with Chicken food.

"Take that to the pen in the back," Daryl tells his son, who nods as he grabs the bowl and goes towards the back.

"Jesus and Kenny are supposed to go back to Alexandria today," Negan says as he fills another bowl.

"So?" Daryl asks him, confused about why he would bring it up.

"If they found something and need a group, I was letting you know that I plan to go. I've been in here too long, I swear I'm going stir crazy," Negan says. Daryl nods as Merle comes back, and Negan hands him the other bowl.

"One beside it, kid," Negan says.

"Thank you, Uncle Negan," Merle beamed as he goes towards the back. Negan looks at Daryl, whose face turned to a grimace but noticeably didn't dissuade it, and smiles.

"I love when they say that," Negan says with a grin.

"Why? Because you know I hate it," Daryl says to Negan, who nods.

"I've befriended your entire family, Daryl. You can never get rid of me. I'm friends with your wife and your kids," Negan says as he pats his shoulder.

"I swear to God, I cursed myself," Daryl sighed as he picks up the bag and sets it in a barrel. "I think you're next for watch," Daryl says to him.

"I noticed your not stooooping them!" Negan called out in a parting shot.

"Shut up before I lock your ass in here!"

Morgan's P.O.V

Morgan walked out of the infirmary and walked down the stairs. "You look tired," John says as he walks up beside him.

"I haven't slept since Rosita went into labor," Morgan says as he walks into the big cabin.

"It seems like babies like to take away anyone's sleep," John says, making Morgan chuckle. "They still sleeping?"

Morgan nods as he pours himself a glass of water and sits down. "I keep thinking about Daune and what he would think about all of this."

"I think he would be happy and proud that you were able to move on, you were able to make a life, Morgan," John says. Morgan nods as he takes a drink of water.

"I should get back," Morgan says. John nods as Morgan leaves the cabin.

Jesus's P.O.V

Jesus and Kenny drive a car into Alexandria and stop outside the church. "You can go see Clem and A.J. I'll go talk with Carl," Jesus says. Kenny nods as Jesus climbs out of the truck and walks towards the church. He walks inside the church.

"About time," Maggie says as she stands up and walks up to him. She hugs him. Jesus hugs Michonne and Beth and looks at Carl.

"So, what'd you find?" Carl asks him.

"A lot," Jesus says. "We found storage of food that will last us a few weeks, but that wasn't the important thing. We found a community, a big one too, we could only see guards from afar, but we got in during the night. They have fuel, people, medicine, guns, ammo: everything, Carl. They could be a great addition to the alliance," Jesus says.

"All community heads would have to agree to send a group there," Carl says. "We'd have to call Daryl, Ezekiel, and Reilly here,"

"Why don't we go there," Enid suggests. "We should check in on Morgan and Rosita, and this would be a good chance to do that," Enid explains.

"We'll do it tomorrow then. I'll radio the others," Carl says as he leaves the church. Jesus nods as he follows him.
