Chapter 104-New enemies

Two months later

Negan's P.O.V

Negan slammed his mace down on a walker's head and looked at Kate as she killed another one, the two on patrol that day. "Let's get these walkers in the burn pile," Negan says as he grabs the walker by its arm and drags it towards the pile of dead walkers. He sets it down and looks at Shane as he walks over to them.

"You two up for a run?" Shane asks them.

"Sure thing! Where are we going?" Negan asks him.

Kate smirked at him a little "Speaking for both of us?"

"Oh so sorry...ahem, ma'am you want to come along?" Negan asked grandly.

"Don't mind if I do." Kate chuckled, the two not noticing Shane staring at this for a moment then decided to move on.

"An old outpost that Richmond used. Got overrun by walkers. They never cleared it, but Clinton says it had a stockpile of weapons, medicine, and food. Deacon, John, Alden, Charlie, Rachel, and Dorie are coming. You two as well. Be ready to leave in an hour," Shane tells them before he walks away, the two following him.

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl stopped his truck inside Hilltop and climbed out, Alicia got out and got Ofelia out, he walked to the back seat and got Merle out of his car seat. The two kids smiled as they ran away from their parents and over to Hershel, the little boy yelling in joy as he joined them. Daryl and Alicia walk toward Barrington house, soon walking into the office and seeing Maggie and Beth talking. "You guys ready?" Daryl asks them.

"Yes, Carl, Javi, and Carol said they'd meet us there," Maggie says as she follows them outside. "Tammy and Al will watch the kids." Daryl nods as they climb into Al's van and leave Hilltop.

Nick's P.O.V

Nick swings his stick into the side of a walker's head as Jerry swings his ax down on the top of a walker's head, splitting it in half. Nick looks at Jerry and nods. "That's all of them," Nick says as they walk back toward Kingdom.

"We're having a lot more walkers than usual," Jerry explains, his eyes tight with worry, as he puts his ax on his back.

"I know. We've been doing a lot of work on the Kingdom. We could be drawing them in." Nick rationalizes. "It happened to the campgrounds when they were expanding," he further says as the gate opens and they walk in, soon looking up at Ezekiel as he walks up to them.

"Carol, gone?" Nick asks Ezekiel, who nods.

"Five Saviors." Ezekiel says with a sigh, hand running along his dreadlocks. "Five of them are gone, and we don't know where they went."

"Think what happened before is happening again?" Jerry asked his king, concerned.

"No, from all the looks of things along with some supplies missing, it looks like they took off. We'll find them. Reilly has warned us that this could happen. They haven't been happy about Oceanside since we started trading with them after Richmond, and over the last year and a half, the communities have started to trust them again as long as the saviors don't do anything stupid. They will get a chance to return to the Sanctuary." Ezekiel tells them. The two men nod as they continue to walk.

Clementine's P.O.V

Clementine walked beside Arya as they moved through the woods. Clementine had her bow out, and Arya had the bow that Clementine had used when Daryl started teaching her. "So Daryl taught you how to use a bow?" Arya asks Clementine, who nods as she bends down and looks at the tracks.

"Yeah, he started to teach me while we were building that bridge," Clementine tells her. "Over the next few years, we would hunt together besides Kenny and Lee. Daryl is the closest thing I have to a father." Clementine says with a sad smile as she thinks about Kenny and Lee. "When I killed Jocelyn..." She paused looking at Arya in worry, but the girl shrugged this off so she continued "And those two kids. Kenny couldn't get through to me. But Daryl did. After Kenny died, he was also there for me."

"He tends to do that." Arya grinned, as she shot another walker, the arrow clean through it's skull.

"You ever think about her?" Clementine asks warily.

Pausing, Arya looked curious "Jocelyn? Eh sometimes...she was a murderous kidnapping bitch, but she did teach me a lot of stuff so got to give that to her. Besides if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have met all of you guys."

Clementine raises her bow and shoots a walker through the back of its head, saying "Well that's one way to look at it."

She pulls out another arrow and shoots another walker through the head. She pulls out an arrow and shoots it through the last walker's leg. The walker tries to crawl towards them, and Clementine goes over to it, breaks its other leg, then grabs it by the back of its head and breaks its teeth on a rock. "This should work for target practice."

Enid's P.O.V

Enid drove a car into Hilltop and stopped it. She climbs out of the car and looks at Earl working at the forge. She takes a deep breath and walks up to the older man. He looks at her and smiles. "Enid, what do I owe the pleasure?" Earl asks as he sets his tools down.

"I need to talk with you about something," Enid says.

"Well, I was about to have lunch. Come join me," Earl says as he leads her away. Enid nods as she follows him. They get their plates and sit down. "So, what do you need to talk to me about?"

"So Carl wants to have an actual wedding as Shane and Madison did. Part of building the new world is doing things we would do in the old world. He wants to get closer to that world in his dream. Anyways, you have become a second father to Carl over the past couple of years. You've become one for me too. So I was wondering if you would walk me down the aisle?" Enid asks.

Earl stares at the girl in surprise. "I'm honored, Enid. But I figured you would ask Rick."

"I love Rick, and I thought about it, but you felt right." She grinned and joked "Besides having his father walk me down the aisle would feel like two sibling marrying each other."

Earl grinned with a chuckle and nods. "Then I would be honored, Enid."

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl steps out of Al's van and looks at Reilly, Javi, and Arat as they walk up to the van. "Good to see you, Javi." Daryl says to the leader of Richmond, who nods.

"Come on, we can talk at my house," Reilly says to them. They nod as they follow Arat and Reilly into their house, sitting down at the table

"What Saviors are gone?" Carl asks him.

"We suspect that Regina is their leader. She was very close with Justin. She wanted every woman in Oceanside killed, including Rachel. Even before we started trading with Oceanside, she still wanted to kill Rachel." Reilly explains, rubbing a hand over his face.

"Norris, Duke, Lance, and Evan." Reilly answers.

"Those names sound familiar," Carl says, looking up in thought.

"They were in the bar with me, Rick, and Morgan when Jared had them hostage." Causing Carl to look at him in surprise. "They weren't happy about Oceanside either," Reilly explains.

"Do you know where they went? Or what they took?" Daryl asks him.

"I know they took some food, guns, and ammo. They also took a truck and some gas." Arat explains angrily.

"We don't know where they went," Reilly says with a sigh.

"Dad sent Jesus, Clementine, and Michonne to check on the factory." Carl tells him.

"Troy, Cole, Strand, and Laura are joining them." Alicia added.

"I've sent some soldiers from Richmond over to Oceanside to help defend it." Javier tells him.

"Hilltop did, too." Beth tells him.

"Everybody keep an eye out for them. Nobody leaves their community alone until they are caught. They could try and take someone and make sure the kids are watched at all times. We don't know what they will try." Daryl ordered.

Arat looked at him "What? It's only a few of them-"

"Doesn't matter if it's 1, 5 or 20." Daryl curtly said "Even a small number can cause problems."

"I told everybody to gather in the church. Just in case you wanted to say anything to them," Reilly tells Daryl, who nods as he stands up. Everybody starts to walk out of the house. Daryl stops by the door when he sees Reilly still sitting down. He looks at Alicia.

"I'll be there in a second," Daryl tells Alicia, who nods as Daryl shuts the door. "You okay?" Daryl asks.

Reilly shakes his head. "I should have done something about this sooner. Everybody's in danger now. These people are unpredictable. If they kill anybody, that blood is on my hands."

"Regardless of what happens, it won't be your fault, you brought this up a year ago, and it seemed like it was over. You couldn't have predicted this. None of us could have. We'll figure this out. This is just like what happened with Oceanside, and they had more people. We know how to handle this kind of problem. Everybody is going to be fine. Now come on."

Reilly nods as he follows Daryl to the church. Daryl walks in front of the Saviors and looks at them. "I know that some of you are not about Oceanside, but you're going through the same thing they did after the war. Both of your groups have done horrible things for each other, and people have died, way too many. It has been four and a half years since the War. The new world is coming together. This shit is in the past!"

He paced back and forth, many Saviors looking away, or down. "We have left what Simon did in the past, and we are leaving what they did at the bridge camp in the past. Beatrice was punished for that. If you can't live with that, pack up your shit and leave, and don't come back, Oceanside helped us win the war. A lot more people would have died without their help. Anybody leaving?" Daryl asks. Nobody stands or says anything. Daryl nods. "If you know where Regina and her group are, tell Reilly," Daryl says as he leaves the church.

Troy's P.O.V

Troy stopped the car outside the Factory and looked at it, eyes wide and whistled. "Jesus, this place has gone to hell." Troy says as he climbs out of the car. He looks at Clementine, Jesus, and Michonne, who are waiting by their car. "You guys ready?" Laura asks them.

They nod as they walk up the stairs and push the door open. Water lays on the floor of the Sanctuary, and tables and shelves were flipped over and broken, windows were broken out. "Break up into groups. Stay together," Troy says as they split up.

Looking around, Troy muttered "Still can't believe you guys lived here."

Shrugging, Laura answered "It was well fortified and dead free, we were tired of being on the road." She paused and said "And after my Dad died, Negan didn't want to feel like he helped take this place for nothing."

Troy nodded, giving her a tender look, then changed the subject "You knew Regina, you think you could talk her down?"

"Not sure, Regina's always been the 'shoot first' type, a bit too trigger happy."

By then, they had gotten to the room that used to be Regina's and pull the door open. A walker came out of the room and pushed Troy up against the wall. "Oh shit!" He screamed as he tried to push back. Laura pulls her knife out and stabs the water in the back of the head.

Troy looks at her and nods. "You okay?" She asks Troy, who nods as he bends down and searches the walker. He finds a note in the walker's pocket and reads it, her face growing tight and running out, Troy following. "Come on. We gotta go."

Negan's P.O.V

Negan hits a walker over the head with his mace and looks at Kate as she kills another one. "Is that all of them?" Kate asks Negan, who nods as he walks towards the entrance of the warehouse. He walks outside and looks at Shane and John as they walk up to them.

"That's all of them, just another Monday" Negan tells Shane, who nods with a smirk. Around the outpost was a warehouse and two houses, and a large fence. A lot of the fence was down.

"The houses are stocked, but there aren't nearly as many supplies as Clinton said there were."

"There's a bunker door that leads down in that warehouse," Kate tells Shane, who nods.

Shane was about to speak when they saw Charlie running towards them. "Guys, we have a problem," Charlie says. They nod as they follow her back to the house where Alden is giving water to two women and a man.

"What happened?" Shane asks.

"We were attacked."
