It's a calm weekend afternoon in Elmore, including the Watterson's household. Darwin's attending a dance club at school, Nicole and Richard are spending their occasional times together as wife and husband outside.

Anais was at home alone, sitting on the couch and reading books, being a genius little bunny girl as usual. Eventually, someone's opening the front door and stepping inside. It was Gumball, her cheerful and sarcastic big brother! After entering the house and closing the front door, Gumball notices Anais on the couch reading a book as he approaches to her and asks.

Gumball: "Hey Anais. What's up?"

Anais: "Oh hi Gumball. I was just studying and reading something to pass the time, that's all."

Gumball looks at her book and tilts his head a little as he says with a small smirk.

Gumball: "Oh... yeah. That sounds like the most Anais thing to do! Y'know? Being a nerd and all that. Heh."

Anais: "Don't push it."

Gumball chuckles as he says in a teasing tone, giggling.

Gumball: "Oh... What're you gonna do, little sister? Hit me with a book or something?"

This made Anais frowned in annoyance for a while before she suddenly start giggling with Gumball right after it.

Anais: "Alright. You caught me there."

They giggling together before Gumball teased his little sister a little more.

Gumball: "Pfft. See? Look at that! I got the smug little girl genius giggling now! Guess I did something right for once!"

Anais: "Like being sarcastic and make all of us laugh with all the jokes and silly fun things to make our life more colorful?"

Gumball was taken a little off guard by the sudden serious comment from his little sister. He wasn't sure if she's being sarcastic or serious so he responds in a serious and confused way.

Gumball: "Uh...Yeah?... Wait. Are you being sarcastic or serious here? I can't tell for the life of me..."

Anais: "I was serious, Gumball. Besides, It's kinda lonely recently for me that I need someone to spend some times with."

This sudden serious confession from Anais made Gumball's eyes widen a little in surprised before he responded in a caring and empathetic tone.

Gumball: "Woah, really? Well... I had no idea you felt this way, Anais. I... I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling lonely all this time... I can definitely spend some time with you, if you want..."

Anais: "Thanks. And it's not your fault, Gumball. It's just... maybe I was a bit intolerable to you and Darwin. I should accept for who you two are!"

Gumball gives Anais a friendly and warm smile before he puts his hand on her shoulder and responds in a genuine and reassuring tone.

Gumball: "Aww... don't worry about it. It's alright, Anais! I get that me and Darwin can be a little irritating or annoying to you sometimes as we can get on your bad sides. But, y'know... in deep down, we still love you, little sis. You're still a part of this family and we... we'll all be there for you. Whenever you need it, okay?"

This response made Anais emotional as she responds back to Gumball.

Anais: "Thanks Gumball!"

Gumball notices the slight hint of emotion on his sister's face before he gives her a small reassuring, warm smile and gently pats on her shoulder as he replies with a caring and sweet tone.

Gumball: "You're welcome, Annie. I meant it! I meant every single word I just said, okay? We're your family, and family will always stick together! Me, Darwin, Mom and Dad; we're always be there for you, alright?"

Anais nods as she wipes her emotional tears on her eyes. Her acceptance put a smile on Gumball's face before he asked with a cheeky and sarcastic tone.

Gumball: "Heh. Man... Is it me or are you starting to get all emotional on me? Aww... Is little miss tough girl becoming more sappy and soft now?"

Anais gives him a fake gasp of insult before she started giggling.

Anais: "Hey! Stop it, come on! Sometimes you can be quite embarrassing like this you know?"

Gumball grins before he continue to reply in a cheeky and sarcastic tone while holding a hand on his chest.

Gumball: "Pfft. Come on, I'm just pointing out the obvious and joking around. I didn't know you had a soft side under all those smarts and toughness."

Anais: "Yeah, I'm just a little girl after all..."

Then, Gumball's smirk faded away and replaced with a small warm smile, he replied in a softer and nicer tone.

Gumball: "Indeed you are! Even though you're smart, clever and tough but you're still our little girl and a part of this family! And we will always love you, no matter what!"

Anais gives Gumball a warm smile as Gumball smiled back to her before they both hugging each others. Gumball can't help but feel a great sense of care towards his younger sister. He gently patted her back with one hand and used the other to give her a light ruffling of her hair as he said in a warm and soft tone.

Gumball: "There, there. It's okay."

Anais can feel the warm affection of her brother towards her as she speaks.

Anais: "Wow...You really know how to give a cuddle! Just like Mom, you know?"

Gumball smiled at the comment and replies with a gentle and soft tone, while still holding his sister in a warm hug.

Gumball: "Heh. Yeah. I guess I do learned it from her, don't I? I mean, she is an awesome mom, after all!"

Anais nods before she pulled away from the hug as she gives him a sad sigh. Gumball noticed it and asks her.

Gumball: "What's wrong, Annie? Is something bothering you?"

Anais: "Gumball. Why do I have the feeling that Mom's letting you go easily while putting a lot of pressure on me? I know that I'm a certified genius in the house but I want to join in the fun with you and Darwin sometimes, Gumball!"

Gumball's smile fades a little by the sudden question from Anais. He wasn't expecting her to ask such a deep question like that! He looks gently at her before he replies in a soft and gentle tone.

Gumball: "Well, I... I get that we can be different from each other, Anais. I am more laid back, sensitive and carefree as a person, while you're more serious, mature and focused on your studies... But, that doesn't really mean that Mom loves me more than you. She loves us equally, little sis. She really do!"

Anais: *sigh as she responds* "Then why does she cuddles up to you most of the time?"

This question surprised Gumball a bit. He wasn't sure how to answer it without upsetting his little sister. Finally, he took a deep breath before he replied softly and gently.

Gumball: "Anais. Listen... I know Mom can be more cuddly to me sometimes and it made you feel like she shows me more affection... But, that doesn't mean she's favoring me over you. Yeah, she may be more clingy to me sometimes, but that's just one of her ways of expressing how much she loves and cares for us, okay?"

Gumball slowly waited for his sister's response. And it seems like Anais's convinced with her brother's comment as she speaks.

Anais: "Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean both you and Mom are blue cats. And I've learned that cat's furs are very warm and comfortable. So yeah..."

This statement made Gumball chuckled before he responded in a lighter and joking tone.

Gumball: "Heh. See? You got your answer right there! I got most of the cuddles because of my warm and soft blue fur, that's the reason! Heh..."

Anais: "Yeah. But I guess you're also right though. Mom's probably showing love and affection in different ways to each of us I guess..."

Gumball gives her a nod before he spoke again in a warm and gentle tone.

Gumball: "Yeah. That's more like it! Each of us have a different personality and our own ways of being loved and cared for. So yeah, Mom's just showing her love and affection in different and unique ways to all of us, that's all!"

Anais nods as she asks her big brother with a frown on her face.

Anais: "Gumball?"

Gumball: "Hm? What's the matter?"

Anais: "Do you think that Mom will be upset if I tell her that I want to join in with you and Darwin to do some silly fun things?"

Gumball looks at her gently before he replies in a soft tone.

Gumball: "Anais. Look. Even if you're more focused on studying and being a smartypants little girl most of the time, doesn't mean that you can never have some fun with us. The whole point of life is to enjoy, right? So don't worry, I'm sure Mom will be more than happy with the idea of you coming with me and Darwin to do something fun."

Anais: "Really? Did you really think so?"

Gumball gives a light nod before he responded with a firm reassure.

Gumball: "Yep, honestly! She'll say 'yes' in a heartbeat, I assure you. Mom loves us equally and she would be very happy that you want to spend time with us more. So don't you worry about anything, ok? Trust me on this, little sis!"

(Warning: 4th Wall Breaking Moment)

At this point, Anais's getting emotional again as she's letting out a sniff.

Anais: "Thanks Gumball! As long as you in real life are pretty much not relevant to your own self in the show..."

Gumball notices the hint of emotional sniff and a tear slowly running down on his sister's cheek as he gently placed a hand on her shoulder and speaks with a caring and gentle tone.

Gumball: "Aww... It's okay, Anais. I promise, everything will be alright! And... what do you mean by that last part?"

Anais: "I meant your behavior on the show: 'TAWOG' compared to your own self in real life, silly brother!" *giggles*

Gumball gives a small chuckle of realization before he jokes.

Gumball: "Hah, I see. Good. I was worried that you're going to say something philosophical again, Annie. And yeah, I get that the show version of me can be a little bit chaotic and immature, but I assure you, I'm more chill and tame in real life."

Anais: "And I'm glad with it. Even though I still want you to stay cheery and optimistic, you know?"

This made Gumball grins as he chuckles before he replies in his charming and carefree way.

Gumball: "Heh. Yep! I know. My cheerful and optimistic personality is one of the things that are a part of me, after all! I'll always be the happy-go-lucky fella that I am, whether in the show or real life. And it's all thanks to my family who have showed me nothing but love and support! After all, I have an awesome mom, a cool and loving adopted brother like Darwin, and a brilliant but little grumpy sister like you! So, I have everything I need to be happy."

Anais noticed that her silly big brother forgot their dad in a jiff as she speaks in a teasing tone.

Anais: "What about dad? There's him too, you know?"

Gumball gives her a chuckle of realization before he gives her a nod and responds sarcastically.

Gumball: "Oh, right. How could I forget about Dad? I have a lazy but charming father as well, so that's four reasons I'm happy everyday!"

Anais: *shown a relieved sigh* "That's good now. And again, thanks for spending some times with me like this moment. I'm no longer felt lonely anymore."

Gumball smiled gently at his sister before he gently ruffled her hair and replied in a soft and sincere tone.

Gumball: "Aww... it's no biggie, little sis! Like I said before, I'm happy to spend times with you. And I'm glad that you've told me what was going and how you felt recently... So you don't have to feel lonely ever again, okay?"

Anais nods as she gives Gumball a short hug. Gumball also returned a hug back to her along with a smile before he gently patted her back and spoke in a soft tone.

Gumball: "Aww... there you go! It's okay now. Everything's alright. I'm here for you, Anais. We all are."

Seconds later, they pulled away from each others before Gumball asked Anais.

Gumball: "Well, since it's weekend so... do you wanna do something together? Like... maybe watching movies or playing something? You decide."

Anais: "Oh, can we go get ice cream together, please?"

This puta grin on Gumball's face before he responded in a cheeky and sarcastic tone.

Gumball: "Ohhhh. You wanna get ice cream, huh? Is my little miss smartypants craving some ice cream now?"

Anais: *giggles* "Come on, you silly big brother. I'm serious!"

Gumball chuckled before he replied in a light tone.

Gumball: "Haha... Yeah, I know, I know. I'm just messing with you, Anais. Sure, let's go get some ice cream together!"

Anais: "Yay! Let's go!"

As they finished talking, Gumball and Anais went to have some ice cream together as the two siblings. Anais was so lucky to have a big brother like Gumball who's ready to be there for her anytime, anywhere even though he still can be a bit annoying sometimes. And Gumball was also very grateful to have such a smartypants little sister like Anais though she can be a bit grumpy sometimes. And despite all of that, they still loves and cares to each others a lot no matter what happen...
