The story revolves around our MC Li Zhenwu who was originally a shut-in, manga loving, otaku.
Most of his days were spent in solitude, lost in the world of comics, manga, manhwa, and manhua, immersing himself fully in each new universe and finding comfort in his shut-in lifestyle
On one fateful day, Li Zhenwu was reading the Naruto Saga manga while sitting at his cluttered computer desk. While reading, he accidentally knocked over the cola bottle.
The soft drink spilled all over the table and also made its way towards the wiring setup and the extension cord that he had kept there.
The next thing that he experienced was the feeling of getting electrocuted, followed by losing his consciousness.
Thereafter with the flash of golden light, Li Zhenwu's physical form disintegrated into fine dust.
Naruto, Peak Human, Ch 1
When Li Zhenwu regained his consciousness he found himself drifting in the vast, endless void of space and time.
His physical body had already disintegrated and now it was in the form of a prismatic golden light.
His mind was in a mess and he felt as if countless Alpacas were racing through his mind.
"This situation is too annoying!"
Li Zhenwu sighed and commented with frustration.
Only God knows how much time had passed and how much time will pass while drifting in that endless void.
One good thing that had happened with him was his miraculous linking with the 'Saiyan System' after his death.
Even though he was linked with the system he had no idea on how to use it or even how to activate it.
On one instance, while drifting aimlessly, he spotted something which was akin to a bubble or a planet.
Intrigued by this sudden appearance of something other than himself Zhenwu drifted towards that bubble. After covering the distance, Zhenwu noticed something quite peculiar.
i.e. The bubble appeared to be on fire.
He could also feel the surge of chaotic energy from the bubble directly. As he drew closer, he experienced a pulling force trying to draw him towards that bubble.
Since he was getting bored, drifting all alone in that void, Zhenwu didn't resist the mysterious pulling force and let it do whatever it want.
The pulling force drew him into that bubble.
Out of nowhere a colossal chakra mass appeared in the middle of the village taking the form a fox with nine tails behind its back. Fiery flames engulfed the sky, obscuring the clouds and covering half of the village.
Before anyone could process what was happening the Nine-Tailed fox materialized multiple tailed beast bombs and bombarded the entire leaf village of Konoha.
Red could be seen everywhere; aside from the rampant flames, the remaining red was the stark glow of blood. The village echoed with roars and was filled with wails.
Families were torn apart, flames raged, and buildings collapsed, saturating the first ninja village with a sense of impending doom.
At a distance near the village entrance, amidst the chaos wrought by the Nine-Tails, Konoha's ninja soldiers charged forward, fearless in the face of death in their attempts to fend off the beast.
...
Li Zhenwu soared through the sky, witnessing the unfolding scene and suddenly realized what kind of world he had entered upon.
No wonder it appeared to be full of flames from the outside.
As a beam of golden light, Li Zhenwu felt a particularly strong attractive force coming from a specific location in the village. Unable to control himself, he found himself moving toward it.
Konoha was in a mess of fire and blood.
In a modest residential area, a woman was painfully giving birth inside her home. "Come on, just a little more effort!" encouraged a midwife, sweating as she assisted the expectant mother.
Outside, a man with thick eyebrows paced anxiously, overwhelmed by the turmoil in Konoha and the childbirth of his wife all at the same time.
Right at that moment, an unnoticed beam of golden light zoomed in and entered the woman's abdomen.
With a sigh of relief, the woman successfully delivered her baby. "It's here, it's here!" exclaimed the midwife joyfully.
The husband, unable to contain himself any longer, threw the door open and rushed inside to check on his wife... and their child. "Why isn't the baby making any noise?" the woman's weak voice questioned.
"Sometimes this happens; we need to stimulate them a bit," the midwife replied, wiping the sweat from her forehead as she prepared to lift the child and gave a couple of light taps on its bottom to coax a cry from the newborn baby.
Just as she reached to pick up the baby, the midwife froze.
The infant's large, bright eyes sparkled with intelligence, completely different from those of an ordinary newborn.
Stunned, she'd never encountered such a gaze before. Gritting her teeth, she lifted the baby, intending to flip it over for the stimulation to produce some sounds.
But as soon as she hold the baby, she was startled. Her hand felt something round and soft on the baby's back. "What is this?" she exclaimed, turning the infant over.
The baby's frail body offered no resistance as it was flipped, revealing its smooth back. The midwife trembled slightly, unable to believe her eyes, her voice quaking as she stuttered: "A... a mon... monster!"
Her loud cry instantly drew the attention of the husband and wife.
"What monster?" the thick-browed man asked, momentarily focusing on his wife but quickly sensing something was amiss upon hearing the midwife's shout.
"Is there something wrong with the baby?" the woman anxiously queried.
"A monster! She has given birth to a monster!" the midwife shouted.
The husband's complexion changed. The midwife's alarm meant that his child was deemed a monster? Slackening his grip on his wife's hand, he stepped closer to see the infant that the midwife had thrown back onto the bed.
Now exposed, the newborn lay there, smooth and glistening, with dainty hands and feet waving around as if struggling with its current position.
At that moment, the husband's expression also shifted. A short, fine-haired tail was twitching from the baby's tailbone, swaying back and forth...
