She was used to being the smart girl and that was it. However that all changed when Luna found her on her way to school. This chance meeting soon leads her to come into contact with the airhead, but kind-hearted, Usagi.

It wasn't until she learned that she was the Senshi of Ice and Wisdom, Sailor Mercury, that she started feeling that she was missing something. Something that was important to her, but the issue was she didn't know what it was. Logically speaking it should have been her Princess but even it never sat well with her heart or mind.

Sweet Selene she was starting to think that she was going crazy. She was starting to laugh whilst reading a textbook, and when she was still waking up she would smell pine and saltwater. It had gotten to the point that she had run a test for where one could find both pine and seawater together. The tests came back with a few countries but for some reason, Norway jumped off of the screen when she read the area names. She had also thought that she would have needed to run a few tests on her brain as well, but in order for that to happen, she would have had to tell someone about it just to make sure that she was safe in case something bad happened. Her conclusion, she would not know until she got all of her memories back from her past life, back from when she was the smart but shy Princess of her Guardian Planet. She just couldn't help it that she wasn't to meet the person behind that intoxicating scent and the reason that a biology textbook would make her laugh so.

Ami knew that Tuxedo Kamen was up to something but what it was she didn't know. His plans were reviled after Mars joined the group. It was on that night that she heard the voice that was haunting her, however, it was different, colder than what her mind was telling her, when he, Zoisite, introduced himself to the Senshi. His voice never did sit well with her, it weighed too heavily on her as he continued to go over the difference in her very soul. Maybe it was wishful thinking on her part but it seemed that he too seemed to recognize her. That thought left her with more questions than answers though.

Now they were running to get their Princess back, through the dark tunnel they went and she could honestly say she resents her leader, Venus. Not only did the Senshi of Love impersonate their Princess, but, Ami has to admit that she understands the reasoning behind such actions, but now she wasn't sure that she could fight Zoisite again. Yet, on the other hand, she would rather see her old lover dead than under that witch's spell again, and oh how it pained her to see him doing that monster's bidding.

"Sailor Senshi," Kunzite said looking down at the four girls from his spot on the ledge.

The Mercurial Senshi didn't pay any attention to the Shitennou standing, instead, her blue eyes were locked on the blond sitting on the edge. She couldn't force her eyes from his form even as every bone in her body was telling her to watch the other men for any sign of attack. For the first time, in a long time, she went against logic and didn't pay any attention to the situation at all, she was so lost in the faraway past where she could have run into his arms. So lost was she that she didn't see the attack until it was far too late. The blast hit her square on the chest and sent her flying through a few boulders behind her before she rolled to a stop on the hard rock floor.

Standing in front of her Senshi sisters, Venus called forth the power of her planer informing those behind her of her plan. They would send a Sailor Planet Attack and hope for the best, something the Senshi of Wisdom did not like one bit! The attack would either free them from Beryls' control and they would live or the attack would free them from her control and they would die.

"Zoisite remember who you are!" Ami did something that she hasn't done since she was a small child watching her father walk out on her mother and her, she begged and prayed. She begged him to come back to her and she prayed that if it didn't work she would have the strength to end him. "Remember your Prince!"

'My Prince?' She heard his old voice in her mind.

"Yes! Prince Endymion! You are Zoisite the Knight of Purification and healing." Ami could break down and sob in joy, it had worked. She could kiss her leader at the moment.

'How do you know this? Who are you?' His voice was quiet, a tone that she would remember as long as her soul would live.

"You told me so, it is I, Ami, your Snowflake." She told him, her eyes starting to swim in her tears of happiness. She made a promise to herself then and there that she would stay by his side and help him remember everything. Hell, she would ever help him in this life, if he needed it.

"Mercury it happened again. I am so sorry." This time his voice wasn't in her head and she had to stop herself from running to him, she still had a mission to finish after all.

The fates were against them for it was then that Queen Metalia attacked leaving nothing but a crater in her wake. Mercury could do nothing as she sank to her knees with her tears finally streaming down her face, though they were no longer of joy but of pain. She could only vaguely hear her sisters sobbing, for her anguish was too great for her, never in either of her lives could she remember hurting to her very soul. It was not fair, she just got him back!

'Enough Mercury, do not morn me, I was a traitor in two lifetimes. You must keep going on!' There he was, the strong Knight that she knew in the past. 'You have a mission to complete!'

Mercury wiped her eyes with her gloves and looked at her sisters, apparently, they as well came to the same conclusion. They would protect the Terrain Prince in his guards' place, it wasn't much but it would be worth it. It would make them, or at least the Ice Senshi, feel closer to their lost loves. Yes, she still had a mission, and she would die before she would fail that mission. He was right, he always knew the finest ways of stimulating her.

Mars looked as if she was going to say something before Venus snapped at her and told the other that it was time to move on, time to get this over with. Now the Mercurian Senshi was not one for revenge, but Beryl and Metalia have pushed her too far. It was time for those two witches to get what was coming to them. Nodding to each other, the four guardians ran past the crater in the cavern's base only one looked back to it and Ami only did so to gather her wits. It was something that she would do in her previous life, one look at her kind Knight and she was back to her collected self before he would make her lose her control though.

Racing to save their Princess was nothing new, even in this life, nonetheless, it seemed more urgent to get to her this time around than any other time. The biggest difference was that they were not properly trained in this life and the ice wielder knew that their enemies would take advantage of that fact. They needed the rest of their memories, but those pesky things will not come back until they would be needed again.

Unfortunately, it seemed that they were destined to fail Sailor Moon. They made it just in time to see her shove the Holy Sword into her gut once more. Though watching the Crystal encompass the two young lovers hurt her more than her first friend taking her own life in this time just as she did in a time long since passed.

She made up her mind once more, she would not be returning from this failure. She would get her revenge for her lover and then she would join him in sweet oblivion. Now that she knew what it was like to know the other half of her own soul, how could anyone expect her to continue, especially now that her last hope was gone?

With her computer once again active, Mercury leads her sisters to the area with the largest amount of taint. This Hell hole, though, was a bit difficult to find at first but she trusted the ice that surrounded them, it wouldn't lead her astray. She steered them all to what she assumed to be the heart of the Dark Kingdom. The area was a barren wasteland, nothing could be seen at all around them and Sweet Serenity, she felt like she was cut off from her element and she could hardly feel Mercury anymore!

The darkness overhead was starting to get thicker and more forceful on them. She never felt this alone, not even before she found out that was a Senshi. No matter what she could never find solitude in the peace and quiet, but this silence was as far from peaceful as she could get. For the second time in this life, she felt like she failed.

"Do you think we are close?" Jupiter asked her sister in arms. The sinister laugh that answered her stopped the four guardians in their tracks, for the last time they heard it was the death of the men that held their souls.

The odds of success were not in their favor, the Senshi from Mercury knew this but she wouldn't share it with the others, to share such knowledge would have done them all no good. Ami may not be as close to the others as she was back in the past, but she could make the logical assumption that a lot of traits are carried into this life. She knew that to share with the others the odds of death would make them all fly into battle without even a hint of a strategy. Jupiter and Mars were never known for being passive.

When their second planet attack of the day failed, it didn't even do any damage to the evil that had finished forming just overhead the young teens. It was now obvious that death was the only outcome of this battle.

'It is not yet lost', She could feel his arms around her. His chin was resting on the top of her head and it was a comforting thought that Zoisite was with her at the end of this horrid ordeal.

"My heart?" The question need not be asked but he would know what she wished of him.

'They have not yet passed. Focus everything you have left into not killing Matalia but waking up your Princess and my Master.' He sounded so sure of what needed to be done. 'I will be right here, Snowflake, use whatever else I have left to help you with this.' They both knew that it wasn't much but though his connection to the Earth would make her stronger, she wasn't on her guardian planet after all.

"Thank you," she told the phantom as she felt his presence all around her, so much so it took her back to the Silver Millennium. Back to when he would hold her to his chest and whisper sweet words of poetry into her ear. Back to when she would hold him to her breast whilst she would stroke his hair. Back to when they would spend hours debating everything and anything.

The attack was strong, more so than it should have been even with the Holy Sword being held by its master. The Mercurial Senshi knew logically, that it shouldn't have been possible, nevertheless, her heart told her that they truly did help that much.

'Stay safe my love.' She heard in her mind before everything went black before her eyes. "In the end, we did find each other again." This time her Knight was in front of her. His uniform was the pale green from the Golden Kingdom, his eyes shining with the emotions that she did not think should ever pass through him.

"Zoi!" She threw herself at the man she thought for sure was lost to her forever. She now knew what was missing in her life. She found her home in his arms once more, she never felt as safe as did with his arms around her and her head tucked under his chin. She buried herself deeper into his chest as the scent of pine and saltwater flooded her senses.

"Ami," He sighed and he too buried deeper into her hair. When that bitch found him back in Elysion and then proceeded to twist his love into hate, he thought for certain that he would never hold her this close again, never being able to hold her small form again was torture in and of itself. Hell, he remembered the darkness that surrounded him as he fought against Beryl and her bitch of a queen. This petite woman was his redeeming quality from everything. She was the one to break the control over him in both lives. Zoisite knew that he would never find a way out of the debt that he now found himself in, not that he wanted to anyway. "You have no idea how sorry I am that she did this to me again. Please" he begged her, "forgive me for being so weak."

Without even trying she could hear the tears in his voice, she could feel them as they dropped from his eyes and hit her hair causing it to move, even more than his breath ever could. Here he was, her Knight, crying and begging for something that he already had. How he could even think that he had to even ask was beyond her. "You already have it, my love," She told him before pulling away and doing something she never did in this time, she kissed the man right on the lips.

"Sometimes I wonder why we met when we could not bond. Why would the gods be so cruel for us to know this blessed union only to have it ripped away so soon?" He said placing his face back into her hair.

"No matter the reason, I am so happy that I got to spend that with you," she let out a wet laugh. How could she not in this situation, her once lover turned enemy was holding her as if she was his lifeline.

"I will wait for you Snowflake," Zoisite told her as she started to fade from his side once more.

It was later when Ami was alone that she let her sobs out. She would have to be strong and protect the Prince that stole her Princess's heart. With her mind clear of her future, she cursed the fates that her spark was gone, once more.

~~I am not heartless, I am wise.~~
