The breath was blown out of Eren as a mass of steam erupted from the Colossal blowing him and his comrades from the wall, sending them plummeting down below, getting his wits about him he grabbed his handles from his holsters and pulled the triggers firing the hooks into the wall stopping his descent and allowing him to land safely against the wall followed by the other cadets all catching themselves and landing safely.
"Is everyone okay!?" Eren shouted getting small nods as a pissed off looking Reiner landed beside him.
"Bastard!" he cursed glaring to the top of the wall before looking to Eren, "Are you okay?" he asked calming down a little.
"Yeah…" Eren muttered looking back up to the dissipating steam above them.
A crash was heard from below, turning his body as best he could Eren looked down to see a rising cloud of dust as debris was sent flying across the district of Trost smashing several houses just like in Shiganshina all those years ago, "The wall… It broke through the wall!" Thomas screamed, his eyes wide looking down.
"The Titans… they're going come through again…" Armin muttered, "They're gonna…" he didn't want to finish that thought.
"This is our opportunity to take it out" Eren hissed tightening his grip on his handles getting the attention of those near him "I'm going after that bastard, we can't let this chance get away, if we kill him here the walls can no longer be broken!" he exclaimed pulling the gas trigger and flying up the wall.
"Eren!" Reiner tried to call but he was long gone, "Damnit, Annie help organise and get everyone back to the armoury, I'm going after Eren!" he called getting a nod in response from the blonde before charging after him.
Eren connected his handles to a pair of his blades and unsheathed them as he landed atop the wall coming face to face with an old foe, "Hello there…" he muttered glaring to the Titan who now looked at him, "…It's been four years huh" he said readying to attack as he heard the firing of gas coming from his left.
"Hold on Eren!" Reiner called out as he landed just in front of Eren with his own blades at the ready as he stared down the colossal with gritted teeth, "We'll take him together, you take the right, I'll take the left, meet at the nape" he said not taking his eyes away, while listening for agreement from Eren.
"Right, a two-man unit!" he agreed nodding in agreement glad that Reiner decided to come along with him, "Let's take him!".
As he said this the Colossal seemed to tire of waiting and lifted its large right arm and swinging it across the top of the wall taking a chunk of wall off and destroying all the cannons leaving no defence at the front of the wall.
Eren and Reiner landed either side of the wall with the latter exclaiming harsh language before they both ran along the wall, Eren jumped away and fired a hook up into the arm of the colossal pulling himself up to land on the large limb looking at his target of the nape before running along the arm.
The Titan turned to look at him before bringing his other arm up to try and swat him but was distracted by Reiner coming up the other side and swinging around its arm allowing Eren to jump off the other side and fire into the arm pit allowing him to propel his body above and behind the Colossal in perfect shot of the nape.
"You're just too slow to react" Eren grinned as he fired into the nape and depressed the gas a little to fly towards, "NOW DIE!" he screamed as he moved his blades to slice.
Instantly he was met with a burst of super-hot steam firing from the Titan throwing him back and obscuring his vision.
Eren covered his face with his arms to protect from some of the heat as he was rag dolled in the air behind the Titan, his hooks barley holding on to their anchor point, gritting his teeth Eren tried to peak his eyes open a little as he depressed his gas triggers more to counter the force of the steam which worked to some extent.
Though as he tried to depress more his hooks gave out and pulled off from the Anchor point sending Eren flying back no clue weather he was up of down, "Eren!" he heard a call, but he couldn't figure out where, as his head was spinning.
He luckily didn't need to figure out as Reiner swooped in and grabbed him in the air and propelled them both to the wall landing atop of it as a steam cloud seemed to get larger, "You, okay?" Reiner asked concerned as he held on to Eren's should to stop him rising too quickly.
"Yeah… but I don't see a way to get through all that steam, the force and heat makes it impossible to do anything" he said standing up slowly gripping his handles again glaring at the cloud.
"We'll just have to wait for it to dissipate then we'll try again but be faster this time" Reiner suggested earning a nod from Eren as they both focused on the Colossal as the steam cloud seemed to lighten.
Noticing this they prepared to attack again the second it come into view but as it dissipated, they saw there was nothing there, "W-What!" Eren exclaimed running to the side and looking over, "Where did it go!".
Reiner followed and looked around seeing nothing as the steam was all but gone, "It vanished…" he muttered looking along the wall to see it hadn't moved off anywhere.
Eren looked down to see the last of the steam gathering at the bottom of the wall near the hole, squinting he tried to see within, but it was too far down even with it evaporating, "Reiner, Eren!" a voice called running up to them.
Turning they looked back to see Nack approach with concern on his face, "Are you both okay?" he asked looking around to see the Colossal nowhere in sight, "Did you get it?" he asked amazed.
"No, vanished into thin air" Reiner grumbled crossing his arms.
"Sorry, we were so close and…" Eren tried to apologise.
"No don't apologise, me and the others couldn't even move, you guys did amazing taking the fight to it" Nack praised shaking his shoulder, "The others are at the armoury, just like you instructed Reiner" Nack nodded to the taller man as multiple Garrison soldiers arrived.
"Cadet's, what are you still doing here!" the Sargent asked looking to all of them quickly before shaking his head, "Doesn't matter, follow wall breach procedures and get to the Armoury, if any of you had contact with the Colossal Titan report it to the officers there, now move!" he ordered as members of his unit jumped over the wall to the outside.
The cadets all saluted, "Yes sir! We wish for victory to the advanced guard!" Reiner said getting a scoff from the Sargent who jumped off to the outside with the rest of his squad to engage the approaching Titan's as Eren, Reiner and Nack jumped inside and began heading for the centre of town where the Armoury was located.

The Armoury was bustling with activity, Garrison Soldiers and Cadets alike were running about with equipment to organise the defence of Trost, "You cadets!" a soldier called out to the arriving Eren, Reiner and Nack "Hurry up and get to the basement, fill up on gas and report up here for the brief!" they ordered practically shoving them towards the large doors to go down below.
None of them objected as they quickly got down the flights of stairs into the large basement filling with metal drums either side containing their all-important gas supply, the three spread out to find free nozzles to top their ODM gear gas cylinders up with.
"Armin!" Eren called out finding his friend who turned to face him with a glad smile on his face.
"Eren!" He called back happy to see his friend was safe as another turned to look.
"You're here!" Mikasa exclaimed standing up to face Eren and check him over, "Are you okay? Armin said you tried to fight the colossal!" she scolded sounding like a mother, her usual tone, "What were you thinking!"
"I had to Mikasa, it's our duty as soldiers, I couldn't just let it get away with what it did!" he shouted back being mostly drowned out by the other shouting around the basement "But it got away anyway" Eren relented feeling ashamed as he knelt and grabbed a free nozzle.
"Got away? How?" Armin questioned confused as to how something so large could escape.
"I'm not sure, one second it was there then the next it erupted into a massive wave of steam and when it cleared the thing had vanished" Eren answered focusing on the gas, "I know it sounds odd but it's true, Reiner can vouch for me".
"I believe you Eren" Armin said, "It's just like in Shiganshina, I don't know if you saw but after the wall was breached, the Colossal Titan vanished" Armin said remembering all those years ago.
"This thing can appear and disappear at will?" Mikasa questioned looking to Armin who gave a worried look.
"Maybe, or maybe it's some sort of trick, I'm no expert on the Titans so I couldn't tell you, but it does certainly seem that way" Armin affirmed, "Have you told the Officers yet Eren?"
"No, I haven't had the chance, the second we got here we were thrown down here" he answered truthfully noting he had to relay the information as soon as possible.
They continued filling in silence but while they were doing an equipment check a thought popped into Mikasa's head, "Armin?" she asked looking out from behind Eren where she was checking his booster, "Is there anyway we could seal the wall?" no one had brought this question up yet, but it was the most pressing.
"Well…" Armin muttered looking at his blades before holstering them, "There is the boulder on the east side of town, the one that was used as a sightseeing activity, I suspect it would be large enough to seal the wall but…" Armin trailed off not wanting to say the next reality, "There's simply no way we could move it, even with all the horses and people pushing it wouldn't budge, it's partly fused to the ground too and if we used explosive it would just destroy it, simply put I don't think there's any way for the wall to be properly sealed".
The two looked to him in shock knowing Armin was right, there simply was no straightforward way to seal the wall, the Scouts had been formulating plans for it when they hoped to take Shiganshina back, but they had come up empty handed so far, to put it simply, Trost was lost to the Titan's.
They stood for a moment contemplating their reality before it was shattered by an Officer calling them up from below, all soldiers ran upstairs and formed up in the courtyard where a visually tense man with sunken eyes looked over them all, he had a brown beard and moustache with his hair slicked back and wore the usual Garrison uniform with a light shirt underneath and his roses being the mark of a Captain.
"I am Captain Kitz Woermann, the Officer in charge of Trost District" he quickly said getting the introduction out of the way quickly, "For those not aware I will confirm your worst suspicions, the Trost outer gate has indeed been destroyed by the Colossal Titan" he said as calmly as he could.
Murmurs of worry echoed out around the Cadets and Garrison Soldiers present and even the Captain looked visibly worried though he tried his best to hide it as he was the senior officer and if he broke in front of everyone, all would be lost.
"Now a plan has been formed to counter the Titan invasion, there are three sections, the Vanguard, Middle Guard and Rear Guard" He began to explain, "The Vanguard have already been deployed and are holding the line at the breach these are the majority of the Garrison forces, you cadets will be taking up the Middle Guard with the remaining Garrison units, you'll be put into squads to cover each street should any Titans get through, you engage on sight!".
"Finally, the Rear Guard will be made up of the Garrison Elite Squad, they will be responsible for leading the evacuation and taking care of any Abnormal that get through, is that understood!" Kitz called out getting a loud 'Yes sir' in response, "Good, the leader on the ground will be Lieutenant Ian Dietrich who will take over the briefing from here!".
He said turning away as a taller thin looking man stepped up, he had dark blond hair the parted down the middle and tucked behind his ears reaching the lower back of his neck; he also had a notably slim face with defined cheekbones and wore the uniform of the Garrison with a tan shirt underneath and mark of a Lieutenant.
"I will be pulling back to the rear wall to organise reinforcements" Kitz hastily said as he made a quick exit before protests could be made.
"Hey where is he going!" a voice shouted from the back.
"He's just saving his own skin!" another voice echoed out with more following suit.
"Enough!" Ian shouted from the front getting all attention back on him, "There will be time for these arguments later but now we all have a duty to perform".
"As the Captain said, I'll be leading in the field along with my seconds, Sargent's Mitabi and Rico, but as we are the Elite squad we will be on the rear guard and spread thin, so I trust you in the field to make do what's necessary, if you run low on supplies don't try a foolish heroics just pull back and wait for resupply" Ian continued getting understanding nods.
Eren looked to Mitabi first, he had a short crop of brown hair and a short beard with light-coloured tannish eyes. He wore the typical Garrison uniform with a green shirt underneath and the roses of a Sargent.
Rico was a rather short woman with a small but secure build. She has shaggy, cheek length, platinum blonde hair, and silver-coloured eyes. She wears a small, framed pair of glasses held on by bands placed around her head to keep them from falling off. She also wears the typical Garrison uniform with a white button up shirt underneath and the mark of a Sargent too.
"The evacuation of all civilians is the priority; we cannot retreat until they are all safe behind the wall!" Ian ordered, "Now you are to engage any Titan you see in your area on sight, follow your training and you'll do fine, however…"
"…If you see any Abnormal out there, send up a black flare and get away from it, none of you Cadet's are to engage any of them, they are simply too unpredictable so leave it to the Elite, is that understood!".
"Yes sir" the cadets echoed out.
"Good, now you'll be formed into squads and told your designated area!" he called out looking to Ian and Mitabi who nodded and stepped forwards quickly reading off names.
After all the Cadets were organised, they began to leave the base to take up defensive positions, "Eren" Mikasa said walking up to him, they had been put into different squads and it greatly worried her knowing they wouldn't be close, "Please be careful" she almost begged.
"I'll be fine" he muttered with a smile.
"Don't take any foolish risks okay and if you're in trouble just retreat to my position" She said her tone changing to a stern one.
"Mikasa!" Eren snapped, "I'll be fine" he repeated getting a bit more irritated, "This is what we trained for remember, I can take care of myself!"
"I know I just…" she tried to begin.
"Akerman!" Ian said from behind, "You're with me in the rear guard, we're down a few so we need to make up some numbers" he said.
"Sir, I feel I'll be better on the front lines" she tried to say.
"No excuses Cadet, the evacuation of Civilians is the top priority" he glanced to Eren, "No personal feelings can get in the way of that" he said before walking off again.
She looked back to Eren with concern across her face, "I'm sorry I…"
"Go Mikasa" Eren said, "I'll be fine, I'm not on my own, I'll have Armin, Thomas, Nack, Milieus and Mina backing me up" he insisted indicating to his squad behind him, "We'll have each other's back" he tried to reassure.
Mikasa wasn't convinced but she now didn't have a choice, the Lieutenant was waiting for her and if she disobeyed, she could be taken far from Eren anyway, "I'll come find you after the civilians are evacuated!" she said and ran off before Eren could protest.
Eren grumbled to himself as she ran but relented turning to face his squad, "Everything okay?" Mina asked as they finished their checks.
"Yeah, Mikasa is just being herself" he rolled his eyes in annoyance as Mina patted his shoulder.
"She just cares for you" she smiled, "Can't blame her for that".
"But there's a difference between caring and clinging" he muttered as he checked his blades.
Mina smiled as she walked off to grab a flare gun but before she knew it, she was yanked into a small outcrop in the wall, looking to her kidnapper she realised it was Annie, before she could get a single question out however, the blonde spoke first and urgently, "Survive, you got that!?" she hissed.
"I don't care what you have to do okay, just both of you come back alive" she continued glaring at her then across to Eren who was planning with the rest of the group.
"Annie…" Mina muttered feeling worried for her friend.
"Listen, I don't care if this sounds selfish or arrogant or whatever, but…" she trailed off not sure if she should say what she had to, quickly she grabbed Mina's jacket and pulled her close, "You're important to me okay, both you and him, I don't want to lose either of you, I couldn't bare it!".
Mina looked into her eyes, for the first time she could see actual worry in Annie's eyes, she was genuinely concerned for their lives, "Annie, it'll be okay…" she gently raised her hands up and grabbed Annie's, "We prepared all these years for this, we trained for this situation so we will come back" she smiled seemingly reassuring her.
Annie relaxed somewhat and loosened her grip, "Sorry I just lost my head there" she muttered not used to being like this.
"It's fine, it's only me" Mine smiled her smile, "You don't have to put up any façade around me, it's what best friends are for" she smiled.
"Best friends…" Annie muttered.
"Damn right, you're stuck with me permanently Annie" she gave her a small thumbs up, "Don't you think for a second I'm going anywhere" she grinned.
Annie couldn't help but smile back, "Yeah okay".
"Just trust me okay, I'll see you after" she smiled one last bright smile before walking back to her group and grabbing a flare gun on the way, "Besides how tough can those big lumbering idiots be" she giggled.
Annie watched her leave as her fists clenched, "You better be right Mina, I better see you and Eren again or…" she muttered, "I don't know what I'd do, I just know I need you both…" quickly she teared her eyes from her and made a quick escape.
"Cadets have you seen Leonhart around here?" Sargent Rico said running up to them.
"Yeah, she was…" Mina said turning to point to the outcrops but saw nothing, "She was just there…" she muttered turning back confused.
Rico grimaced, "Damnit, okay you lot get to your area" she ordered getting saluted before they ran out the doors to the battlefield.

The six cadets took their place on a nearby roof top, so far, their street was clear but, in the distance, they could see the bobbing heads of Titans being fought by the Vanguard though it was hard to make out exactly what was going on.
"How do you think it is going?" Thomas asked peering out into the distance.
"Good, I should hope" Armin said, "There's none here yet".
"But it's not been that long" Eren muttered holding his blades, "Any moment now we'll be called to fight" he said rather anxiously.
"Well, when we do you better fight your hardest Eren" Mina grinned bumping his side, "After all, Annie said she wanted you to come back" her sly smile appeared, "Can't disappoint your girl now can you?"
"She what…" he muttered his cheeks turning red as he looked away in embarrassment while the others began to laugh, "Why did she…".
"It was for both of us" Mina whispered looking to him, "She wants us both to come back to her, but I do think it's for different reasons" she winked to him making him blush harder.
"Ooo, Eren has a lover now, eh?" Nack laughed almost slipping off the roof, "Make sure to fight extra hard for her lover boy" he jabbed slapping his friend's shoulder.
"Hey, knock it off Nack" he exclaimed getting his arm around his head and grinding his knuckles on his head, but it didn't stop the laughing.
"Aww come on Eren, it's cute you have a little crush" Thomas egged on getting Eren to turn his attention to the blond.
"Come on guys we need to be wingmen here" Milieus tried to reason, "Maybe we should let him get all the kills, give him something to show off to his girl" he laughed throwing an arm around Thomas as he did the same to keep each other up.
Eren gritted his teeth as he realised that even Armin was joining in the laughing much to his chagrin.
"Titan's on approach!" a soldier called from below with a telescope, "Move to intercept!" they ordered to the squad.
The laughing immediately stopped as they all looked serious and readied their handles, "Alright guys this is it, lets show these bastards just what all our training was worth!" Eren cheered and received the same from his friends before they jumped from the roof and engaged their ODM Gear.
They soared through the empty streets the only noise being that of the distant battles and that of the whiz their Gear gave out, "Could they have gotten through the Vanguard already?" Armin muttered aloud voicing his own thoughts, "Has it fallen?" he questioned.
"No, I'm sure these are just a few stragglers that slipped through" Nack reassured, "The LT even said they're spread thin, this is the reason we're here!" he encouraged making Armin calm a little.
Nack must be right, those in the Vanguard were experienced Garrison Soldiers, no way they would fall to the Titan's so easily.
"We'll take it to these Titans and show the Elite we have what it takes" Thomas shouted from the centre calming Armin even more.
"Yeah, you're right" Armin cheered as he released his hooks and fired to a new anchor point.
"Though I bet I'll kill more than all of you!" Milieus laughed from the front.
Thomas laughed "Good luck with tha-".
"ABNORMAL!" Mina screamed from the front.
All six darted their heads forward to see a massive blond naked Titan perched on a rooftop snapping it's head towards them, it's teeth baring before it suddenly sprang off it's back legs and flew towards them, it's mouth agape.
"DODGE!" Eren exclaimed twisting his body to turn left and hastily get out of the way and the others following suit barely making it out of the way as it sliced through the middle of the group and crashed into a nearby belltower knocking it over but seeming to daze the monster.
They all landed together on a house, with most of them landing on the roof while Eren and Nack landed on the side of the building, "Where did that come from!" Nack exclaimed looking in horror to the at least 13 metre tall Titan, "Why is the first one an Abnormal!".
"Someone send a flare quick!" Eren called out, Mina looked to him and nodded swiftly pulling out the gun from a clip on her side and firing a black cannister into the air letting out black smoke which would guarantee the notice of everybody in Trost.
As Mina put the gun away, she looked over the area they were in, "G-Guys…" she whimpered.
They all looked to her all seeing what was behind them, "It's a massacre…" Armin muttered horrified by what he was seeing, there was smoke rising throughout the area as screams of help went unanswered, bodies of Soldiers littered both up high and, on the ground, "The Vanguard… they've been wiped out…".
Carnage could not even begin to describe the horrors they saw, every street a different looking Titan marched down it eagerly looking for their next meal, across most of their mouths was stained blood and some still had pieces of their victims dangling from between their teeth, "How could this of happened?" Nack snapped looking around, "This must be a nightmare… right" he began to freak out his eyes darting all around.
Eren was frozen, he was having clear memories of Shiganshina, when the Titans first came through, the screams, the smell of blood in the air, the hopelessness they all felt in that moment and now, he still felt useless.
"If the Vanguard are gone…, what can we do!" Mina cried as dread took over her.
"Hey guys, w-where's Thomas!" Milieus said looking around for his friend realising he was not with them.
They pulled their eyes away from the horror but could not see him around either, "We need to find him and retreat, now!" Eren said getting his head back together, but Thomas was nowhere near them.
Armin looked ahead to see if Thomas simply went the wrong way, but upon looking up his heart froze and his eyes fixated on one thing, "T..T.T.T..T.T. …" he began to stutter getting all present attention.
He couldn't find any words to convey to them as his heart had planted itself firm in his throat; instead, he slowly moved a hand up and shakily pointed towards the Abnormal, "I…I..I. …".
Everyone's breath hitched as they matched Armin's gaze; they saw exactly what he did.
As the Abnormal recovered it had turned to look at them again but this time, it's mouth wasn't agape and nor was it ready to pounce as it had no reason too, it had achieved it's goal, clasps tightly within it's jaws was it's prey, the thing it had pounced for and what it sought more of everyday.
"T-Thomas…" Eren whimpered looking to his friends eyes, his legs and waist were in it's mouth and his hands were trying desperately to push him away from the monster, but it wouldn't let him go.
His face was a picture of shock and fear, his wide eyes filled with tears as he looked to them all with desperation, begging them to do something but they could not, not one could move or formulate words, it was almost as if time had stopped, frozen in this moment of horror and dread as the reality dawned on them all.
"Help…" Thomas whimpered as tears continued down his face, "P-please help me…" he begged to his friends, but it was already too late, as if waiting for the command, the Titan leaned it's head back and opened it's mouth wider letting gravity do the work.
Thomas couldn't look down as the darkness opened below him and dragged him in, the tongue being used to drag him further down into the depths of horror that awaited him but there was nothing he could do, his body wouldn't respond as the shock wouldn't wear off, "HELP ME PLEASE!" was all he could cry out as the space got colder and tighter and the light was taken away.
The five watched in horror as Thomas was swallowed whole, they watched the small ball in the throat descend down the neck until it reached the endpoint and vanished, The Titan not even showing any sign of realisation that it just ate, and without a second look, it turned around and walked off.
"T-T-Thomas…" Milieus muttered looking to where his friend just was, "S-stop… C-come back…" his brain couldn't process what had just happened, in what felt like an eternity but was actually a few seconds, his closest friends, was eaten.
"Thomas… no…" Mina cried falling to her knees and putting her hands over her mouth to stifle her sobs, "How could he…".
Eren watched the back of the Abnormal as it walked away, not caring about them anymore, "You bastard…" he muttered not breaking his contact with it for even a second, "Thomas was my friend and you just…".
Memories of his friend now haunted him, so much trust and comradery they placed in each other, they worked together through so much and now Thomas was just, gone.
"Don't you walk away…" Eren's voice rose as his grip on his blades tightened making the weapon shake, "Come back here you bastard!" he screamed after the Titan, but it paid him no mind.
"I'm going to kill you!" he finally screamed before firing his hooks ahead and boosting after the Titan, he didn't care it was an abnormal, all that mattered was it killed his friend and they deserved revenge.
He skidded across the ground before firing into a roof and propelling himself higher, he eyed the nape and readied his blades for the killing blow, he ignored the others protests, this had to be done no matter what the cost, he owed all that to Thomas.
He couldn't let his death be in vain, he couldn't just run away again, he had to fight, he had to win, Thomas deserved better that what happened to him, and Eren could just let things end like they did, this was all for Thomas's memory.
As Eren shot over a gap in the houses, and Titan jumped upwards catching him off guard, snatching one of his legs between it's teeth and biting it off, the change in momentum send Eren flying uncontrollably, he smashed across the remaining roof top's before crashing into a chimney stopping him.
He was sprawled out on the roof completely winded, his mind was rattled, and he couldn't figure out where he was, the stump where his leg used to be, now pouring out blood across the tiles, which eventually dripping to the ground below as he remained unmoving.
"EREN!" Armin called out in horror, seeing his friend get flung across the roof tops, looking he could see he was now mostly stained red; blood must be coming from more than just his leg after such a fall.
"Come on, we have to help him!" Nack said taking command, "Let's grab Eren and retreat, come on guys!" he said getting the others out of their trance, he was right, they needed to help their friend and get out while it was still possible.
The four took off quickly shooting across the roofs to get to Eren as fast as they could, "Okay we..."
Nack didn't get to finish, before he could react, a massive hand swung out from between the buildings and crashing into him, the speed he was going combined with the swing of the arm resulted in an explosion of crimson blood flying out and streaking across the nearby Milieus who caught his legs on the arm sending him crashing into the roof.
"NACK!" Mina tried to call back for him, but a small bug-eyed Titan stepped out of an alley to see the commotion and caught itself onto Mina's wires taking her off course, sending her crashing into a nearby wall and slumping to the ground momentarily knocking her unconscious but as she came too, she was face to face with the same Titan making her breath catch in her throat.
Milieus got to his feet as he looked back to find Nack, but there was nothing to be found, he was killed on impact and now the Titan had brought his remains towards it's mouth and had began eating what remained not caring how messy it's face got.
He looked in horror as Nack was feasted upon, he couldn't tear his eyes away and was almost oblivious when the Titan turned it's attention to him, it saw a still standing target just staring at it, so it reached a bloodied hand and grabbed a hold of Milieus leg.
This shook him from his trance, quickly he cut some of it's fingers off and quickly tried to scramble away to safety, in his panic he'd forgotten how to use his ODM gear and just wanted to get away, but it wasn't so simple, the Titan wanted him and used it's other hand to pin Milieus down before he could get any further away.
He screamed in terror as it gripped onto him, clasping it's finger around his torso and one of his arms making him unable to cut himself free again, without hesitation it began to pull Milieus towards it's mouth, "No stop please!" he begged still trying to get away, but it was all hopeless, "Help me someone please!".
On the ground Mina was not doing better, the bug-eyed Titan had grabbed her around the arms and Torso with both it's hands as was now picking her up, as she let out screams and cries of terror, "No, no, no, not... not me please, I don't wanna die!" she cried as tears streaked down her cheeks, "Annie, Mikasa, Armin, someone help me please!" she continued to sob and scream as the Titan opened it's mouth wide.
Armin had stopped on a roof and was looking at the horror unfolding, "No… why…" he whispered as heavy steps approached him, looking it was the same Titan that had bit Eren's leg off look down at him with a big bearded smile, "Why…is this…happening…" he whispered, he body paralyzed in fear as the Titan picked him up by the jacket and pulled him into the air, "Why… are me and my friends… getting devoured…" he simply couldn't fight back, his body wouldn't move or respond to his brain, "What did we do… to deserve this…".
Eren turned his head to see what was happening, he watched helplessly as his friends were pulled towards death.
Armin was held over the mouth of the bearded Titan to be dropped into its mouth "Why is this happening again".
Mina was still crying as the bug-eyed Titan began to fit her head into it's mouth muffling her screams, "Why am I watching, those I care about die".
Milieus was desperately trying to push away from the large, bloodied Titan with his one free arm, but it was hopeless, and he knew that as he still begged for help while he was pushed into the jaws, "Why can't I do anything".
He reached a pleading hand out towards them "I beg you, please stop, t-they don't deserve this" he hopelessly cried to no avail, "Please someone, anyone, I beg you…"
