Korra said nothing as she watched Garrus mark out the plan he had. She had talked with Bumi and Iroh, when she had the chance, and the two always told her about how a plan was better than nothing. Given that she was on an alien world, facing up against robotic enemies with weapons she barely understood… she needed to know everything she could. Garrus sighed as he finished his plan.

"We have no idea who these people are, so check your fire," he said. "Samara, can you lock them in a stasis filed if they try to attack?"

The Justicar nodded. "It won't last long, but will allow us to subdue the civilians,"

The turrian nodded at that before turning to the Avatar. "Are you sure of what you saw?" he asked.

Without hesitation, Korra nodded. "There is not doubt in my mind it's her. The question is… well… how? How is she here? I mean… she's effectively one of my past lives," she rubbed the back of her head. "I…. it makes no sense,"

"Past lives?" Tali muttered shaking her head. "I'm still trying to get my head around that,"

"You and me both," Garrus agreed. "But it's something we can sot out later. Right now, we need to get in, everyone clears on the plan?" he received a series of nods. "Good, let's move,"

OOOOO

A siren blared and the metal men began to move, picking out random people and pushing them towards a corridor. One of them being the raven-haired girl, the only one she felt she could trust. A flush of anger filled her as she moved to stop the metal men from taking her. But as she approached, the building rocked followed by a loud bang that caused the people around them to react and cower. The metal men didn't seem to react at all, instead they seemed to stand still, as if someone had turned them off.

The tall girl pulled the raven-haired girl away from the metal men as they began to stir and made their way out of the chamber they were in.

"What was that?" someone asked. "Why did they do that?"

"I don't know," someone answered as the room shook again followed by another loud bang paired with several loud pops.

Acting on instinct the tall woman began to usher the people to one side of the room and got them to keep low. The people didn't object to what she was doing. Unlike the metal men, she was one of them. A person they could trust with their safety. They followed her and the raven-haired girl as they moved to the side and couched down, heads low and eyes wide. Something about this felt natural to the tall girl, something about felt right. Like she belonged doing this, but she couldn't pin on why.

OOOOO

Korra and Tali slid down the hill towards the Geth base and into one of the walls around the base. Tali stayed low with Korra following her closely. They reached the edge and the young Quarrian peeked around the edge.

"I count 10 Geth troopers," she said as she pulled back, looking at Korra. "They are the basic foot soldiers of the Geth, depending on how many are linked their intelligence varies,"

Korra closed her eyes and nodded. "So that means that they…." Shaking her head trying to understand the terms. "They can either be as good as a regular trooper or as dumb as a gangster,"

Tali nodded. "Yes, so it does one well to be careful. Always assume that they are highly trained special forces,"

The Avatar nodded at that. "You've done this before?"

"So many times," the engineer said wistfully. "I was never a soldier, but Shepard didn't care. She took me in, trained me…" she sighed as she readied her pistol taking a breath. "Ready?" Korra nodded as she readied her own pistol. "Follow my lead, stay close and keep that head down,"

The way she said it, along with the tone, made it sounded like she was repeating it from someone else. It was both automatic and rehearsed that Korra figured that she might say it to herself to calm herself down. She didn't pry, or comment as the Quarrian moved and the two of them moved out into the open. Tali was the first to open fire, she aimed for the nearest Geth trooper. Double tapping her pistol with shock rounds to make quick work of its electronics.

Korra followed suit and aimed for the second closest. But a few hours on the range wasn't enough to give her an edge in combat. Most of her shots went wild as they whizzed pass the Geth she was targeting. She cursed and dived into a roll at the Geth began to target her. The rounds hit her shields, forcing her to roll again. This time her instincts kicked in and she slammed her first into the ground. To her and Tali's surprise, a chuck of earth quickly rise from the ground. Creating cover for her from the gunfire.

"Keelah, how in the ancestor's name?" the engineer yelled as Korra smiled and reacted quickly to this new revelation.

She spun up and over the piece of cover firing while bringing up another piece cover for her to use. Landing behind the second piece of cover, she peeked getting a look at the Geth positions. Planning her attack, she moved quickly, slamming her first onto the ground to send her flying. The Geth seemed to pause unable to compute what just happened allowing Tali to advance and switch to her shotgun, firing shock rounds at two of the Geth troopers before the others began to target her.

Up in the sky, Korra brought up four earth spikes and threw them at the Geth troopers. They tried to move out of the way, but two of them got impaled. One in the chest while the other only had its arm destroyed allowing Tali to finish it off. The Avatar then landed and threw a fireball at one of the Geth troopers before firing at other, killing it. Tali took out the rest quickly while they were focused on Korra.

As the last one fell, Korra looked to her hands with a smile. "Yes! I can bend again,"

"That was bending?" Tali asked as she walked up looking at the dark-skinned girl up and down.

"Yep," she nodded before checking her webbing and finding the canteen she was given with a sigh. "Oh, good water," she muttered before an explosion at the other side of the base reminded them of their mission.

"Later," Tali said as she moved up to place the charge and backed up before detonating. "Ready?" she asked looking to Korra.

"Yep," the Avatar nodded as the two ran inside.

OOOOO

With the people in cover, the Tall girl moved slightly outwards. Looking around as the loud pops got closer and closer. She was unsure what to make of it, but was sure it wasn't a sign of anything good. Looking to the raven-haired girl, she got down and whispered in her ear.

"Stay here, keep low," she said and the girl nodded.

Despite being tall, she moved out of cover and approached one of gates. The gates were surrounded by a metal gridded fence. It was locked by a circle of light which she watched the metal men operate and memorised how they worked it. Holding her hand out, she moved in the sane way as the metal men, but nothing happened. She frowned before trying again with the same result. Backing up slightly she looked around, thinking that she missed something before heading over to another door.

As she approached, the light on it lit up and she made the same gestures as before. This time it lit up green and the door opened. But she quickly learned that she wasn't the one responsible as a creature, a good foot taller than her, walked in causing her to back up. It had a rectangular face with grey skin and mandibles on both sides of its mouth. It sneered at her as she backed up further while he entered.

"Well, well, well," he muttered. "What do we have here?"

Tall girl reacted by moving into a stance that felt familiar and natural, but unfamiliar at the same time. Almost as if she was missing something. But that didn't stop her from preparing herself for the attack against this creature. But to her surprise the Raven-haired girl made a move by coming up behind her and using her as a launching point, pushing herself into the air her first covered in fire.

The creature looked up with an unimpressed expression but that expression dropped as a blue glow appeared around her. Tall girl looked up to see what was going on then around to see a blue skinned woman holding her in the air. Her hand glowing the same blue as the Raven-haired girl now hanging in the air. The creature looked towards her and raised a weapon of some kind before a spear of ice slammed into him arm.

A dark-skinned woman with short dark hair and dressed in blue and white armour landed on the other side. of the tall girl.

"Kyoshi, take Rangi and get to the other people," the woman sad.

'Kyoshi' frowned. "Who are you?" she asked as 'Rangi' was set down behind her.

"Later," the woman said aiming a similar weapon at the creature. "Get into cover!"

'Kyoshi' gritted her teeth but did as she was told as she grabbed Raven hair and joined the others at the far side of the room.

During the discussion the creature removed the ice spear that Korra gave him. "You are going to pay for that," he said as he fired his weapon at her.

Prepared for that, Korra dived out of the way and fired with some of her shots going wild while Samara moved as well, firing her own pistol. Trying to get the turrians attention. It worked as he shot her with a biotic blast which sent her flying into a wall.

"Samara!" Korra called out as she turned throwing a couple of fireballs at the attacker.

Other than forcing him to back up, it did little other than annoy him. But it freed her up to go and help Samara up.

"This guy is tough," she muttered.

"Indeed, but he does look familiar," the Asai said as the Turrian approached them.

"You are going to pay for…." he began but was interrupted by a concussive blast.

"Get away from you bos…." Tali began but fell silent as the Turrian looked to. "Keelah…." Was all she said before firing.

The Turrian tried to move out of he way, but Tali reacted quickly and threw and overload at him to short circuit his systems. It didn't work as he moved out of the way and shot another biotic blast which she dogged, but not without her shields popping. Cursing under her breath, Tali got into cover and reassessed her tactics. Korra and Samara recovered and the pair of them thew a shockwave each with The Avatar throwing a couple of fireballs.

The shockwaves sent him back but deflected the fireballs with ease. Garrus then emerged firing his sniper rifle at the Turrian, not caring about how many shots going wide. The Turrian seeing that he was outmatched and outnumbered turned and ran though the door he came from. Tali was about to go after him but Garus stopped her. She gave him an angry look. Or as much as one can give behind a mask.

"Garrus that…" she began.

"I know, but we have bigger problems," he countered, pointing to where Kyoshi and Rangi where keeping people in place, scared.

Tali looked between Garrus, the door and the people before nodding. "Yeah, we do,"

OOOOO

Pema smiled as she and a few of the cooks brought in food. "Dinner time," she said with a smile.

Milo and Ikki jumped up with joy, with Bolin and Mako smiling but everyone else including Tenzin, who had recently arrived, were subdued. But they didn't object to the food presented to them. Kuvira dove into the food, eating everything on her plate before offering the plate back.

"More please," she said before looking around. "What? I'm hungry," Pema just shrugged and left for some more while Kuvira placed a hand on her belly. "Really hungry,"

"Didn't Shepard say that you needed a lot of calories due to your new powers?" Jinora asked.

"She did," the former ruler said. "I was not expecting it to be this quick,"

Tenzin was about to speak when Kya and Katara walked in, exhausted. "That… oooph," Kya said as she practically collapsed in one of the open spaces around the table. "That was tough,"

"And here I thought nothing was too tough for you," Lin shot as she ate.

"Jump into bed with me and I'll show you tough," Kya smiled.

The Chief of police nearly spat out her food. "I don't swing that way," she shot a glare at Kya.

"Your loss," Kya muttered before eating.

"Mother, how is she doing?" Tenzin asked trying to divert the conversation.

Katara didn't say anything as she ate a few bites of her food. "That woman is strong, stronger than she looks,"

"In other words…" Kya interrupted. "Very strong, maybe even stronger than Kyoshi. I mean she was healing well on her own. We were just helping guide her healing which was… well not easy," she shook her head. "It was if her body had a mind of its own,"

Her mother nodded as she continued. "Most of the damage was internal as well as exhaustion. She managed to stay up because something inside her was already repairing the wounds she got before fighting the White Lotus and those attackers,"

"So, she overworked herself?" Asami asked with the master healer nodding in response.

"It was as if… as if…" she tried to find the right words before Mako spoke up.

"How long until she's back up?" he asked tough a mouthful of food.

The two healers looked to each other. "An hour, maybe two?" Kya muttered with her mother nodding.

"Sounds about right," she agreed. "Maybe sooner given how her body works. I'd love to know what kind of medicine they used on her,"

Kya nodded at that.
