Chapter 42: The Lawman's Honor
December 23rd 1:04pm
It was just a normal day for some of the team right about now as they were doing their best to handle things around the cave. With some of the team yesterday being placed on some apparent mission with the rest of them stuck here to do their own thing for the day as everyone has been doing their own thing as of late with everyone trying their best to get along. But for delias it has been a rough patch with a few of her teammates still mainly being jinny and jinx as the two didn't really trust her that much. Although leonid and his sister sure trusted her alot even her girlfriend baby brother which was nice to have some sort of friends here but her girlfriend was out on a mission as she was her phone talking to her right now
"I can't believe you guys get to be on a mission for a traveling circus seems straight out of the tv shows"deliah said as m'gann laughed on the other end
"I know right but things will be fine i'm sure over there. Besides the others are probably gonna finish setting up the christmas tree decorations for when we throw that christmas party with the others who won't be there for it."m'gann said as they planned to throw a small but not to grand of a christmas party for everyone on the team that lived here
As she was in her own room a ghost was nipping at her sleeve to play with him as the teen rubbed his head as the pup nuzzled into his owner's side for some more pets from his master. While he did for a moment there was silence which m'gann noticed
"Hey look i know that jinx has been a little weird for the past week but i'm sure things can be fixed. Besides we all are a team and i'm sure no one here is well…a mole or whatever"m'gann said as there was a pause with delilah not sure of that as she could suspect some people herself not blaming them for thinking she was some sort of mole but her heads been killing her ever since she saw her own siblings apparently
"I know but good luck on your guys mission i'm gonna maybe try and talk to the others hopefully"deliah said
"Goodbye tell my brother i said hello"m'gann said as she hung up with the teen sighing as she got out of bed rubbing her face with ghost hopping down following his owner right now to where the others are right now
Although in the other room right about now they were in the process of setting up for the christmas party they were having. Wally was busy talking with someone over his phone right about now as hanging up some more ornaments on the tree right now was misha who was helping piper set up a couple as the little girl was placing a couple on the very top as she wanted to go higher
"Higher"piper demanded but the girl grunted as her arms could not stretch
"I cannot stretch or my arm would pop out of socket and…blyat"misha said as the little girl looked at her funny.
"What does that word mean"piper questioned making misha stare at her before glancing at a nearby jinny who was setting a tray of coco out with her glaring at her to not ruin her pure soul
"Don't even tell her what that means ruskie if you do then your going into timeout"jinny warned as the girl flinched for a second silently saying something in russian making the cowgirl eye her russian guest here
"Is she saying something crude about me?"jinny questioned as leonid eyed her for a second as he wanted to lie but gently nodded as misha felt betrayed by her own brother for even ratting her out
"Leonid! You are traditor to your family"misha said making him scared as he thought she meant she was calling him a mole and his code phrase for him and superboys mental conditioning
"I am no spy! I am friend i just act different at times when i hear certain words"leonid said as the others stared at him was wally was walking into the room with a befuddled look wondering what he meant right now
"Uhhhh what does he mean by that?"wally questioned
"No clue besides this coco is to die for right now"jinx said taking some sips with a few marshmallow in it as the others joined her to take a couple cups as almost burning their tongue was piper who winced as seeing this was jinny taking her cup for a second
"Too hot for you"jinny asked as she nodded to her as the cowgirl had a small trick for this. Walking to the side she grabbed a small cup of ice for this sort of thing as she popped a ice cup in it which seemed to bother a nearby wally
"You know that ruins the experience of it being known as hot cocoa"wally said as she rolled her eyes handing it back to the tot who happily began to drink it right now to her heart's content as she enjoyed the surgery drink of chocolate
"Well she's a little kid who might burn her tongue maybe your fat lip might stop that compactor you call a mouth partner"jinny taunted back making leonid laugh at the red head
"In your saying of your country you would be considered burned!"Leonid said with a laugh and a smile as his sister began to laugh to wally unamusement. As they stood there it felt nice although something was bothering jinny right now like something wasn't right maybe it was their missing teammate that was here. Although their was how she rarely trusted her still after everything that's happened in the last couple weeks but part of her told her to actually trust her and not think of her like some sort of alpha level threat as she felt terrible for her
Though as they were standing there suddenly a loud booming noise could be heard startling them as yelping was jinx falling out of her seat as a large tube emerged in the air startling them
"What the hell is that?!"jinx shouted as stepping out first of the mighty portal was a familiar sight to the cowgirl as laughing with a smile on his face was none other than bear himself as the new god smiled with a grin
"Ah ha! I knew i could find the place by tracing that box you said you carried!"bear cheered but on guard was red tornado right now who came in at the ready with his tornados pointed straight for the intruder with vigilante hopping down by vaulting over a railing above rolling into a crouching position pointing his two guns at the invader it seems
"Hold up their partner and how'd you zeta in here?"vigilante asked but stepping in admiring the man look entirely was serifan himself as the cowpoke ethuanist smiled
"Oh shucks a real cowboy i thought you said they weren't around much in your time"serifan said but shocked to even see them right now was jinny
"Bear? Serifan?"jinny questioned as eyeing the two as bear smiled walking over hugging the cowgirl with the biggest hug he could muster almost crushing her even hence the namesake
"Jinny hex! Why it is good to see you again my friend"bear said as she wheezed for air
"Good to see you too buddy though ribs…delicate…please"jinny begged as he released her as happily rolling over was sphere beeping and bopping as walking out was dreamer as she approached the sphere rubbing its side
"Hello there you it's nice to see you again how have you been treated here"dreamer asked as the sphere made the sounds it usually makes making the new god smile as feeling lost right about now was red tornado
"Are these considered threats or not?"red tornado asked as recalling something was vigilante on a briefing his partner gave him briefly on how her and supey hooked up and when they sealed the deal spinning his revolvers he holstered them as stepping out last from the boomtube was a cloaked figure sporting a cowboy hat that covered his face as eyeing him was jinny for a second
"Another cowboy enthusiast i see"jinny said with serifan nodding excited on who it was it seems. Though as they stood their the man known as vigilante stepped forward
"I take it your these new people are your friends hex"Gary asked as ginny nodded rubbing her sore hips now
"Yeah they are me and conner met them while we uh went through that therapy stuff. We stopped a bank heist and well they tried to take sphere back to her home"jinny said to some shock it was a her
"Wait sphere is a girl?"wally asked shocked as the sphere beeped at him confirming it seems
"Hey wally maybe you can ask it out"jinx joked as he eyed her for that as piper hide behind a nearby jinny as eyeing the small child was bear who bent down to try and match her height

"Her name is piper uh what is your name"m comm asked as bear pounded his chest
"I am bear of new genesis this is serifin and dreamer the last one with us is a special guest we brought to thank you for your help with desaad and those thugs if i recall what you called them"bear replied as they found his name to quite strange hearing it right now
"This guys name is bear your joking right?"wally asked as he wasn;t
"Nope apparently these guys are from another world actually"jinny said as m'comm recalled hearing tale of new genesis back home for a bit
"Ah i think i know of this place you speak of at ma'arz i heard from small travelers that returned from the cosmos that there is a world known as new genesis locked in a war with a place called apokolips if my memory is right"m comm asked
"Ah a martian we have encounter few of your people over the years you are"Dreamer asked making him eye her for a bit
"That's interesting but still what was that you just did"m comm questioned intrigued
"It's called a boom tube it's how we get around so quick in the universe though uh"serifin was stopped as something could be barking as something suddenly began to tug on his cape that being a growling ghost thinking they were intruding as the new god eyed the pup with confusion
"Whats this thing here tugging on my clothes partner"serifan asked as vigilante thought he put on the western accent too much
"Lord do i sound like that"gary thought to himself though walking into the room a little confused was delilah seeing the four randoms here as she felt a little nervous right now
"Ummm who are they?"Deliah questioned as they eyed her for a second as scoffing was jinx still not liking her
"No one you need to worry about wilson"jinx rudely said making her eye her for even calling her that
"That's not my last name jinx what's up with you"delilah questioned as sensing some drama right now was dreamer but vaguely could pick up on it
"Is their something a matter with your chosen name"Dreamer asked as she eyed the weird girl growling as the haze around her hands started to show again
"Shut up you freaking weirdo! I am not having someone who just barged right into this place telling me why i don't wanna be called by my apparently psycho murder dad!"delilah shouted making the haze come off her body as stepping forward as jinny placing her hand quickly on her own weapon right about now
"That's far enough nikos i suggest you just mosey back to the hole you've been staying in"jinny said hurting deliah heart right about now as eyeing his student was greg right about now as the cloaked figure did too. Though wally stepped in calling the two out himself
"You're joking right? You two have been avoiding her and ignoring her thinking she's a mole! She's not a stupid mole her mom and well brother apparently confirmed that themselves you know that what happened back with cheshire and ravager was not her fault"wally said
"Yeah but she hide a stupid tracer from us that could have put everyone here in harm's way the best thing she can do right now is just go away and not come back"jinny ridley said hurting deliah own heart hearing that right now as she stared her down for a solid ten seconds before scoffing as the teen walked over grabbing a nearby jacket on a rack as they stared at her for a moment
"Where are you going?"leonid asked
"Out"deliah said
"Oh no you aren;t"jinx said trying to grab her but as her hands got close to her suddenly deliah did something suddenly she blipped out of existence to their shock as she teleported out of the cave as stunned for a second was mcomm

"Ummmm no"jinny replied as right now a little worried was wally
"Gah! You guys are real pieces of work. You know that the type of crap she's been going through mentally right now is probably torturing her own state of mind. Some teammates two of you are i gotta go find her a blizzard rolling in soon and if any of you wanna help i suggest you do it now"wally said speeding out as the new gods felt shocked but stepping forward offering his help gladly was bear
"If you are indeed in need of help we shall help find this friend of yours with the use of our mother box"bear said presenting the box as against helping her was jinny
"Screw her she's just a dam rat"jinny said but the mysterious figure shoved her in the chest hard before speaking up
"Now i ain't hearing what i think i'm hearing from my own kin"the man said taking his cloak off startling her as it revealed a man in his late fifties from the looks of it with him sporting silver white hair from the looks of it with the right side of his face heavily and grotesquely scarred from the looks of it as he seemed down right hideous even with him sporting ratty brown cowboy boots and blue jeans with a black dress shirt that was an old west style to it with a thick dark grey trench coat and matching hat with two guns on the front for a buckle with two revolvers on his hips to her shock as she seen photos of him as freaked out by his scar was misha
"What is wrong with your face"misha said as greg went wide eyed himself
"What in tarnation your…your…"greg was at a loss for words as the man spoke
"Jonah hex and i got a stern tongue lashing i need to give to the girl here let's talk hex to hex"jonah said dragging her away to talk as the others suited up to hopefully find out where their friend teleported off to

There was nothing, not even the sound of the seagulls squawking in the air to draw any attention to the people around the place. Though suddenly appearing out of thin air was deliah who landed in some snow covering her face as she coughed for a bit as she panted with her face feeling red hot as she figured out she could teleport a few days ago as she managed to trace it to her powers developing. Though as she picked herself up sneezing from the cold shivering as she panted with the cold breath coming off her lips as she just wanted to be alone for a bit and away from her so called team right now
Some of them treated her with respect but she felt like the others didn't after everything they went through. For god's sakes she got jinx out of jail for life and if it wasn't for her she might have rot their forever as the teens stood their taking some breaths heavy right now in some alleyway a pair of passing footsteps could be heard before someone called out to her
"Deliah! Is that you?!" a familiar voice said as she looked up flinching to see it was Karen who had a startled and puzzled look. By her side was a caucasian girl with blue eyes and short black hair as she wore a simple pair of blue jeans with a black sweater on with a blue puffy coat on.
She knew her from what m'gann told her, the girls name was wendy as two rushed to now shivering deliah painting from how cold it was outside right now as she didn't think it be this cold by a coastline city as running over wrapping a coat around her was wendy in complete shock
"What are you doing out here in the cold where is m'gann? Conner?"she asked as there was a pause with deliah looking away as Karen didn't like the look of that as she helped her to her feet right now noticing something she got shorter which she did a quick measurement as she was confused but carried her off to her place.
The three walked for what felt like ever as they soon arrived somewhere that being a simple house here that was like the rest of the homes in the neighborhoods here. Though as they stepped inside already here was marvin, mal and mari who seemed to be coming by for the holiday as mal heard the door opened
"Karen, wendy your back bring anything from the coffee shop"mal called out but karen rushed in to a nearby closet as wendy carried in a shivering deliah to the three shock with marvin standing up shocked and puzzled what she was doing out in the cold
"What the heck? Uhhh aren't you the hot chick dating megan or something"marvin said with mal elbowing him in the side for that as running to her with a wool blanket wrapping her up was karen as deliah sneezed loudly for a second sniffing as she stayed quiet
"Okay do you wanna tell us what you were doing outside in the cold right now because its like negative ten out their right about now"mari asked as the teen stayed quiet which worried them as wendy took a couple of them to the side as watching over her was mari and marvin as she eyed karen who looked at the girl confused and concerned
"You guys find it weird how she was in negative below weather barely clothed in a thin jacket like that."Wendy asked as mal was already coming up with something right about now in his noggin
"You think she ran away from her house all the way in gotham? Why the heck would she be all the way over here in our little town"mal asked as concerned right now was a worried karen
"Well maybe that happy family ain't what it seems some rich folks are criminals from the stories i heard. Let me call my folks because this just spells child neglect, hold up and keep questioning her. Also get her something warm to drink or eat. Back at the cave right now the others rushed out to hopefully find deliah in time before the blizzard consumes her in this cold. Though being shoved into her room was jinny as it was a simple little room with pictures of her home surrounded by mechanic equipment and equipment to clean her gear. Looking up at her ancestor with gary their the two stood in silence as she scoffed
"What the hell was shoving me for you psycho?"jinny asked as jonah walked over taking a chair as he tipped his hat toward her
"Because you aint being a hex girl"jonah said as she eyed him as he was here to scold her? She wasn't gonna have some guy who should be dead as she just thought this was some stupid trick by the forever people
"Har har very funny if this is really my ancestor because i ain't buying it that little weirdo said you were alive which is just impossible in my opinion on how someone like you can be alive after decades since your time"jinny said not believing this but jonah eyed the trunk in her room before he decided to say what was in their
"In the bottom of that trunk there's a small secret slot I put some of my cherished items in. an old picture of me with my women is their faded showing someone with brown hair just like yours and a face a little similar even"jonah said as it startled jinny as she eyed her trunk as she found that when she was little and questioned her mom about it and she told her how she was her great great grandmother and married jonah as she eyed him for a second not buying it
'There is no way you know that you had to read my mind to know where that was"jinny questioned but the man eyed her with greg speaking up
"Darling, I think he's making a fair point because I've seen plenty of weird things. Magic and now this i can for sure say this is the textbook definition of your ancestor being alive…how are you even alive story goes you ended up going missing at one point and vanished without a trace"greg asked as the gunslinging bounty hunter scoffed with a chuckle
"Blame the little box I had in that trunk, got it to work one day and it took me to that world. They were impressed that i found their world and i been staying there and thanks to some tech they got i've been around for a while and maybe a few relics i've found did that to me…though"jonah paused eyeing the law women before her

Something that would cost a lot of money and time…something someone did to help you and now you return the favor by treating them like a common bandit in the sands. "Jonah said as jinny was about to speak but he was right shes been treating deliah like a complete scumbag even though she helped get a possible lead on where bane was and it might have put sean dad or someone else in danger even. Though as she stood their for a little bit she took a breath for a second as she spoke up understanding how she's been acting lately
"I've been a real jerk haven't i"jinny questioned
"You have darling but i'm sure there's a way to make it up maybe whipping up that special christmas turkey you ma used to make maybe here chili even"greg said
"Chili on christmas sounds weird but…i might give wally a call i know where she might have gone"jinny said as she wanted to honor the favor she used to get her a chance at locking up the one who hurt her father figure
Back in the harbor, Wally wasn't using his super speed as they didn't want to be caught by the public. But they were doing their best with these new allies it seems trying to find their friend as calling out for her right now was leonid
"Strange ghost girl where are you?!"leonid shouted as elbowing him was m'comm
"Call her by her name but can we hurry up i don't like having to do this"m comm said gesturing to his face with caucasian skin
"Hey it's a good look for you at least besides i rather just head back to the cave let her be a crybaby"jinx rudely said as wally eyed her walking back shoving her in the chest he was raised to never hit a girl but he won't stand for her attitude anymore
"I am so sick of your attitude and jinnys! You two have been nothing but rude to her with another possible mole probably being you!"wally shouted as she eyed him down
"I'm not a mole she's more likely one due to her parents"jinx questioned but speaking up close by was dreamer
"From what i've gathered you would be a mole from your criminal past"dreamer said startling them
"How did you know about that?"misha asked as she eyed her
"I can see certain things along with that we've talked to superboy a couple times since that incident with the tech that was brought to your world"Dreamer said
"Yeah i like talking to the cowgirl though uh something wrong with your posey?"serifan asked as bear was intrigued by the snow laughing as he was sitting in a pile of it with jericho eyeing him since he was still here finding it strange for a man to be this amazed by snow as their was some pause for a bit with wally eyeing jinx down
"You should be nicer to someone who got you out of jail time because if it wasn't for her and m'gann you be rotting in belle reve still"wally said making jinx clutch her arm as she looked down before wally phone buzzed pulling it out he saw it was a text from jinny as zatanna eyed him
"Whos that robin?"zatana asked eagerly it seems but he eyed them for a second
"I know where she is come on"wally said as they shared some confused looks following him. Where deliah was she didn't feel comfortable as her girlfriend classmates kept asking her dozens of questions that seemed very off right now mainly how she got here and why she was even here. Why she was walking around in a blizzard and worst why does she look so exhausted but she tried to keep the topic on the down low to not give away her secret identity to them
"Come on can you tell us why you were out in the snow?"mal asked as deliah rubbed her arms as she had a blanket around her body
"More importantly how you got here"A woman said as if it was someone with a dark skin tone in her mid forties with black hair as she had a wonderful face and slender figure with a modest bust size. There was how she had black hair with her sporting a teal sweater and blue loose pants as she was in a wheelchair. With a man next to her seeming to be in his mid forties himself with a dark skin complexion as he wore a pair of glasses with black hair and a beard with a mustache to match. While he wore a black dress suit and tie for the occasion right now
While there were two others here mainly being the parents of Karen who were here. As the woman was maybe in her late thirties from the looks of it with a dark skin tone and short brown hair touching her shoulders that seemed wavy. She sported a simple look with grey pants on and a long sleeve colored yellow as she had a puffy black vest on over it with a pair of curvy hips and a modest bust size.
Though there was a man close to her age as well with him sporting a toned but athletic physique with a shiny bald head as he had no beard but sharp yellow eyes as he was in some black jeans with a simple grey t-shirt on as he was on the phone with someone texting them it seems
As the first two were Richard and Jeanna the parents of Mari and the other two were Joseph and Amber the parents of karen. (Vixen NYC inspiration for mari parents and I do not know if karen has some but the show never really mentions it i think, please let me know if there is).
As they stood there deliah rubbed her arm"i was visiting my umm…"She paused but karen placed a hand on her back
"Relax m'gann been to my house i even blabbed to my mom your dating her she was laughing a little"karen said making her blush
"Quite an interesting thing a rich girl and a girl from a coast city quite the connection if you will"amber said embarrassing her as their was way more to it than just that as there was a pause sick of all the questions was richard
"That is it i am calling your father my resources should have a direct line as i've worked with wayne enterprises their partners for my animal sanctuaries"richard said as it scared deliah
"No!"she shouted as they eyed her before she slinked down as to her she didn't realize they were thinking she was being neglected and abused with wendy and mari off to the side with marvin right now using his computer skills to see about anything about the security companies that step father of her owns does anything illegal
"Anything yet marv?"wendy asked
"Nothing all i'm seeing is no sign of illegal business either he hides things pretty well"marvin said but mari eyed the girl at the seat looking awkward as she noticed something weird
"Is it me or did she get shorter the last time I saw her? She was standing over male now, comparing the two side by side. She's shorter than him"mari pointed out as the two noticed that as mal sat next to her as he secretly eyed them with a puzzled looked right now as they were confused too
"Well at least your dad and karen parents are considering calling CPS because i swear if that's the case then it's gonna be one long christmas"wendy said as they all stood their with the adults continuously questioning deliah as she kept climbing up though as she sat there something felt off as suddenly whispering could be heard as she got up eyeing the outside which a confused jenna noticed getting close to the window wheeling her way over
"Dear is something wrong is someone outside"jenna asked but deliah felt like someone was out their before spotting something a red laser on mal head as she acted quick
"Get down!"She shouted diving into him before a bullet went through the window cracking it as screaming like a girl was marvin as immediately ducking down onto the ground was everyone with joseph shoving karen to the ground as she screamed with a few more gunshots being heard as they whistles through the howling winds as peering from the window slightly was a startled mal seeing five glowing red eyes walking through the snow as approaching the house where five league of assassin members with one on a roof holding a sniper trained on the house as one placed a finger on their ear
"Main target sighted sir what are your orders with the people inside the house"The assassin asked someone as there was a pause
"Kill them if you must bring the girl her mother will pay for leaving the league besides slade wants her alive. Don't hurt her too much"a voice said as the assassin nodded as they dragged a tactical sword in the snow approaching the house as freaking out was wendy
"What the shit is this? Why is someone shooting up your house"wendy asked
"I don't know this is nuts"karen replied but suddenly hopping through the window was one of the assassin as thinking on their feet was joseph
"I have a gun in my study near you grab it!"joseph demanded as time felt like it froze for deliah as she was in someone house at risk of getting shot up but as she saw the assassin draw a blade toward karen and amber instinct took over as deliah growled tackling the assassin into a counter as the assassin dropped their sword. As she grabbed the back of their head slamming it into the counter cracking their goggles making them howl in pain for a moment. Before she charged up her fist as she punched them straight into a wall cracking it startling them all as eyeing her hands seeing that blue haze coming off it was a stunned mal
"What the hell?! You got super powers?!"Mal shouted as she ignored it for now with another assassin kicking the door down as they aimed a pistol toward Marvin and Wendy but doing something was Mari who eyed her mother who nodded to her. Gripping the necklace on her neck for a second suddenly she channeled into something as a golden image appeared behind her of a cheetah before the teen sprinted forward at blinding speed kicking the assassin in the knee stunning them before she had the same glow appear on her as the image of a gorilla appeared as she uppercutted them hard in the jaw stunning them
As that stunned deliah seeing that wondering if she had powers though the assassin from before growled as they dashed forward with a combat knife swinging and slashing at deliah who dodged it a couple times as they slashed her right cheek as she hissed as blood was drawn but suddenly in a blinding blur speeding their way through grabbing the two thugs tossing them out of the house was a familiar speedster that being wally west who put a scarf and goggles on to hide his identity as he eyed them
"You all in need of a speedster?"Wally questioned as their was some stunned looks for a second
"Kid flash? What is he doing here?"marvin questioned but outside the assassin where being dealt as a scream was heard as they all rushed to the window to see one being body slammed to the ground hard as they groaned in pain from the culprit being leonid as zatana casted a spell to take the sniper off the roof and trapped them with the other two in a snowy prison made of ice they tried to break out
"Sorry magic induced prison you won't be chipping at that ice quick enough before the league gets here"zatana said as they walked out as staring at his almost ruined house was a stunned robbie
"My house!"robbie shouted in shock as the team eyed the people here with jinx eyeing deliah who eyed her as the teen looked away feeling guilty but for a second running over was jericho relieved as he placed a hand on her but shoving him back was karen who grabbed a baseball bat ready to crack some skulls in
"Back off buddy dont touch her because right now i want some answers on why some…ninja just shot up my house"karen asked as someone laughed above right now as they spoke up immediately as it was a voice that one of them could recognize
"It's a simple Christmas gift to my child, someone who I haven't seen since they were little and I'm surprised. You look like your mother"a voice said as jericho flinched as perched above the roof with a katana on his shoulder was slade wilson himself who wore some goldenrod greaves and gauntlets it seems with a matching goldenrod mask with the right half black obscuring it while he had a utility belt with pouches and a sheath for his sword and staff as the man stood their as stunned was wally
"Oh crap! Uhh guys we might wanna call up the league for this one"wally said as bear laughed
"This one is a simple matter come at me you…ninja!"bear said as he charged forward leaping to grab slade but as he leaped up slade jumped off flipping into the air landing perfectly on the ground drawing another katana twirling both at the ready taking a breath for a second as he titled his head toward them with a laugh even
"Come on you kids really think bringing your little space friends will help you? You see i just wanted to give an early christmas gift to my kid i mean my tracer did lead to this place but shocker you threw it away my little snow princess"slade said as it made delilah wince as she clutched her head in pain as concerned for her was marvin
"Hey you okay"marvin asked as blood began to stream down her nose as she began to cry holding her head shaking as something flooded her mind some training session with him hitting her as she began to violently shake in fear
"Go away…i don't wanna be hit..i…stop hitting me"deliah said startling them but growling was leonid raising his fist as he charged an atomic blast toward the man
"You hurt my friend, you evil man! Justice will be served!"leonid said firing a concentrated blast at him but slade dodged it with blinding speed like he wasn't even human as jericho eyed him down before the man sheathed one of his swords before slowly raising a device from the looks of it eyeing the assassins here injured in mere seconds surprised
"You've impressed me now do a man a favor tell the league we said hello besides….next time with little rose and grant see yah it'll be a family reunion"Slade said pressing the button before his entire being flickered as he vanished into thin air startling them as they had a lot of questions
"Okay what just happened?"mal asked as suddenly a presence was felt behind wally as he looked up flinching to see it was his mentor and teacher flash who sighed rubbing his face
"Okay wally we need to talk because bats little alarm just went off and uh….he ain't happy right now"Flash said making the teen swallow hard on what might be happening
The next day rolled around as right now the team where just coming back from a mission dealing with parasite who was trying to sell illegal weapons as robin seemed happy as they were getting off the bioship with artemis sighing in relief on what red arrow said about them not being moles right now
"I am so glad you don't think anyone is a mole i mean i though a few of us were"artemis asked
"Well from my experience and deduction my guess is none of you really are the moles. Along with other factors on my own investigations i've conducted"red arrow replied as sighing in relief was conner
"I'm just glad to get a shower in i hope the others didn't get into a fight while we went on mission"conner said but then a voice he didn't expect spoke up
"No way your….your a superhero"A voice said familiar to m'gann and conner who both looked up in horror as m'gann flinched seeing their school friends here in the cave with green arrow, batman, martian manhunter and phillip their talking with the parents of these teens mainly mari and karen but running over in shock and awe was marvin
"Dude is…that…m'gann?!"marvin asked as she went eep as freaking out right now was robin
"You guys let outsiders in the cave what are you thinking?!"robin shouted but his mentor spoke up as he finished speaking with richard and jenna right now on a certain matter it seems
"Robin we've already discussed it besides we have an issue already in the coastline as league of assassin members where sighted and their target was her"batman said eyeing deliah who was laying down passed out sleeping with a whining ghost laying next to her as confused was a karen
"Uhhh is that why my house is full of bullet holes and a cave is on my roof where my bedroom is?!"karen shouted as bear laughed walking over hugging superboy right now to his shock
"Bear?!"superboy shouted in shock
"Who?"artemis asked as she was a little shocked right now as explaining was jinny
"Old buddy we ran into after the therapy session but uh…the league are fine with these guys because apparently that ones mom knows the league"ginny said pointing at the wheelchaired women as recognizing her was kaldur it seems
"Your jenna jiwe mccabe an animal rights activists and caretaker for a animal sanctuary"kaldur replied
"And your an atlantean interesting to see this but seems that my old friends when i was in new york recall me enough to tell me that my daughter friends are…heros it seems"jenna said eyeing green arrow as he used to work with her it seems
"Come on jenna its called a secret identity which these kids better keep because if you don't then uh well…your on the most wanted list"green arrow said startling the five teens but elbowing him was a nearby diana
"Don't mind him but j'onn cleared them of any alternative motives but it seems that deathstroke was here"diana said making artemis eyes go wide with red arrow and robin sharing a stunned look
"As if the deadliest assassin of all time was here? Let me guess came for a…platedate"red arrow said
"You mean that guy apparently declaring he's her dad which was weird to hear"marvin spoke up as it worried them as it was gonna be a very long night for the team to tell them what not to say around the people of happy harbor. But humming to himself in the forest was slade sharpening his sword as he stared at his reflection then at the harbor smirking under his mask as he had a mark where the league put some of those brats as he wanted to play the long game on checking things out.
With that another chapter closes with jinx and jinny being called out for their so called attitudes to their friend. Although with that it seems slade makes his apprenace to his own daughter. With others finding out their friends are superheros. I know it seems quick and cliche but in the show it shows marvin not knowing it but i thought it be nice if he did. I'll try to explore it in future chapters but we got to see jonah hex himself based a little on the batman the animated series version.
