The last thing Yang Xiao Long expected to see when she walked herself out of Raven's tent was the sight of her sister training with her mother.
For that is what they were doing. Training.
They were surrounded by a crowd watching them but even from near the back, Yang could hear the words they were exchanging with loud voices.
"Lean into your strengths but do not neglect your weaknesses!" Raven stated as she launched a barrage of punches that Ruby scrambled to avoid.
"Easy for you to say! I can't even break your guard!" Ruby shouted back, slipping in punches of her own that Raven only swatted away.
"You don't need to break it. You need only to slip past it, pull it open, or in your case, ignore it all together." Raven answered with a smirk and it truly grated at Yang to see her enjoying herself.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked tilting her head as she leapt back away from Raven's range.
"Use your speed to grab onto me and carry me." Raven opened her arms at that, bending her knees to brace herself with a smile on her face.
Yang's breath hitched because for a second there, she imagined that her mother was asking for a hug.
It irritated her.
Her arms crossed tightly as a frown wormed itself on her face but she wasn't going to stop this. Not when she saw Ruby's eyes lit up
Yang watched as Ruby suddenly turned into a burst of petals before rushing forward and materializing right in front of Raven.
She grabbed Raven's midsection, rising into the air as she carried Raven backwards.
"I did it! I'm doing it!" Ruby exclaimed brightly to the murmurs of the crowd around them.
Yang could see how excited Ruby was and everyone else there was also surprised at how happy Raven looked.
Her mother grinned before barking out a laugh at her sister.
"Ha! You are! But..." She trailed off, suddenly transforming to a bird to Ruby's surprise.
Ruby's hands tightened on air, leaving space for a raven to fly up before...transforming back into Raven.
She fell down right on top of Ruby feet first, crashing Yang's sister to the ground to the winces of everyone else there.
"Don't you forget that that only works to people less skilled than me and someone close to your size." Raven grinned, looking down on a groaning Ruby who was lying down face first into the ground.
This wasn't a fight. This wasn't even a spar. This was just plain training.
And they both seemed to be enjoying it.
"Ohhh, I'll get you next time." Ruby groaned as Raven stepped off of her while laughing loudly.
"Sure you will, little sprout."
In that moment, Yang couldn't help but compare what they were doing to what she and dad used to do.
Her, on the ground, and dad laughing loudly before reaching a hand to her.
The only difference here was that Raven did not reach a hand. Instead, she just walked away with a laugh before turning back towards.
"Up for another round?" She smirked cruelly and Yang could see how quick Ruby was to try and get up but before her sister could even answer, Yang decided enough was enough.
"Yeah!" Yang shouted, shoving past surprised onlookers as everyone turned towards her. "Have a round with me!"
The shouting scratched at her throat but she walked past Ruby's half-risen form before raising her hands up in a boxer's position.
Raven actually looked worriedly at her before tilting her head. "Are you sure you're actually strong enough to fight, Yang?"
As an answer, Yang only rushed forward. Closing the distance between them with quick steps before launching a flurry of punches.
Hand to hand was supposed to her forte. Raven didn't have her sword and despite not having Ember Cilica, Yang's bare knuckle punches were strong.
Strong enough to pound trees.
Strong enough to bruise even through Aura.
And yet, they were only good if they landed.
Raven stepped back, ducking and weaving and despite giving it her all, it angered Yang how easy Raven made it look.
She roared, her lilac eyes burning into red, as she charged forward.
Yet Raven only sighed and Yang's eyes widened when a hand suddenly chopped towards her throat.
She choked mid-punch, falling into her knees as she struggled to breath. It was a light chop, more like a tap actually but her throat burned and as Yang's hands found their way to it, they touched her wound.
Her body froze, quick breaths of air coming into her lungs as the flash of a sword whistled in front of her eyes.
"-an! YANG!"
Yang jolted and looking to the source of the voice, she saw Ruby kneeling worriedly beside her.
She shook her head at that before gritting her teeth and lifting her head. She saw Raven looking to the side and away from her. As if she were ashamed to look at Yang.
As if Yang was worthless.
She pounded the earth at that and roared, leaping up to punch Raven in the face but again, her mother only ducked under her strike and swiped a hand to her neck.
It didn't even hit but Yang reeled back, stumbling over her own feet as she shook in shock.
"You can't even fight properly." Raven stated, again, looking away from Yang even as Ruby jumped to her defense.
"Hey! That's not fair! She's injured!"
Raven's eyes narrowed at that before turning to Ruby.
"And so what? Do you think your enemies would stop just because she's injured? They're more than likely to hit you more when you're down! If you can't take that then you might as well quit fighting!"
Yang gritted her teeth at that. As much as she wanted to shout at Raven, she was right. Before she could even think of a reply to make Raven hurt however, a voice cut through their conversation.
"Typical Raven. I knew the bar was already low but you keep finding ways to crush through them. Here you are, not just a deadbeat cowardly mom but you're abusive as well."
Gasps sounded out at that and when everyone looked to the source of the voice, there he was.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby yelled out excitedly as Unclq Qrow smirked at them from the back of the crowd.
"Wassup, squirts?"
The crowd parted as he walked forward but Yang only looked them in shame while Raven narrowed her eyes.
"Qrow, you're back early. You didn't run away from the slaving band, did you?"
Uncle Qrow scoffed turning his head back to look at someone behind him. "You can ask your number two if I ran or not."
Everyone looked to see Vernal breathing heavily as sweat caked her forehead.
"He...He didn't run. He was just too quick." She shook her head, getting Uncle Qrow to smirk as he looked back at Yang's mom.
"Now that that's over with, why don't you pick on someone your own size?"
Raven raised an eyebrow at that. "Finally got your edge back, huh? Did you kill them at least?"
Yang saw Ruby froze at that but Uncle Qrow's face only hardened as he answered softly.
"They deserved it."
Yang stayed silent, stepping back slowly as Uncle Qrow brandished Harbinger towards her mother.
"Good, but if we are going to do this, we are going to do this properly." Raven only smirked however before cracking her neck. "Vernal, get my sword. It's in my tent beside the bed."
"Huh, you don't usually leave your sword around, Raven." Uncle Qrow noted and even Vernal looked surprise at the order but Raven only stayed silent.
There was a moment where Yang thought her eyes looked towards her nervously but it must have been a trick of the light, right?
No way her bio mom was scared of her. Not when she just beat the shit out of her by just swiping at her neck.
"What about us? We are not out of the fight yet." Ruby asked and Raven looked surprise at them but Yang's sister only stared back resolutely.
Raven stood silently for a moment before shrugging at all of them.
"Fine, bring the kids' weapons too I guess. I'll show you what true strength is."
Vernal looked on with wide eyes at that before groaning as she realized she actually had to pick up Yang and Ruby's weapons as well.
Lugging all those weapons around was not going to be an easy fit.
"Bobby! You are with me! Grab the kiddies' weapons! Their the scythe and the gauntlets we left with Gendry!" Vernal shouted, pointing towards a heavy set man who was just at the edge of the crowd.
"What?! But we just got here!" He shouted before grumbling to himself and turning around to go wherever that Gendry is as Vernal went back to Raven's tent.
It didn't take long before Vernal and the guy called Bobby walked back with their weapons in tow.
"Thanks, Bobby!" Ruby smiled before cooing at her weapon lovingly.
"No problem, kid, just make sure you don't give us a poor showing." Bobby grunted before lightly tossing Yang's gauntlets to her.
Yang frowned, assessing her gauntlets bit it didn't look like it was tampered with very much. It actually looked cleaner than she remembered it. Whoever Gendry was, he did fine work taking care of Ember Cilica.
"Ready?" Uncle Qrow asked, walking between her and Ruby while keeping his eyes on his sister.
"Yup!" Ruby nodded, brandishing Crescent Rose with a smile on her face.
She must have been really happy having her baby back for her to forget Uncle Qrow was maybe her possible father and having a breakdown.
For her part, Yang only nodded silently, cocking Ember Cilica's chambers as she looked at Raven who had her own sword sheathed.
"Listen, Raven and I are pretty even but we could win with numbers on our side. I know how she fights so let me pin her down while you land a blow." Uncle Qrow whispered and this time, Yang nodded more enthusiastically.
A chance to deck her biological mother in the face? Yang was not going to pass this up.
"Are we gonna fight or are you three just going to talk?" Raven called out and Yang glared at her mother's neutral expression.
Uncle Qrow looked at them both quickly before nodding to himself.
"Alright! Let's do this!"
He leapt forward, Yang following behind him as Ruby zoomed around to flank Raven.
As Uncle Qrow brought Harbinger forward however, Raven swung Omen from her sheath.
And in front of her, a red portal appeared.
Yang and her uncle immediately opened their eyes wide as they struggled to stop.
It might have been bad luck or it might have been Yang was just weak from recovering but her ankles broke.
They weren't broken literally of course but she tripped, pushing her Uncle Qrow into the portal as she fell forward into the ground.
The portal closed and all was quiet as a wind blew between them all.
Yang blinked.
Ruby gawked.
And Raven smirked.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby yelled panickedly even as Yang growled up at her mother.
"What did you do?!"
"I sent him back to Vale of course." Raven only shrugged however, sheathing her sword as she once again looked down at Yang. "He already passed his test anyways."
Yang gritted her teeth at that, glaring as she shakily stood up and dusted herself off.
"Well we're not done yet!" She screamed, rushing ahead with her fist cocked back.
Raven sighed as she leaned out of her reach and Yang's heart almost stopped when she heard her sword be drawn out of its sheath but she shouldn't have been worried.
"Yeah! Don't count us out!" Ruby shouted, coming in to help her as she came in swinging with Crescent Rose.
Sparks flew as Omen rose up to block the blow and then the fight was on.
Yang leapt forward, chasing after her mother even as Raven pushed toward against Ruby. Despite having her between them, it was the sisters who were actually on the backfoot.
Ruby's eyes widened as she found herself under a flurry of slashes.
"I told you your scythe is weak against humans." Raven said towards Ruby, still ignoring Yang except for the occasional block of her punch using her forearm.
Yang growled at that, her eyes turning red as her hair started to burn. She threw her body forward, foregoing any notion of defense as the crowd cheered around them.
"CRESCENT ROSE IS NOT WEAK!" Ruby shouted, leaping back before turning her scythe into a sniper rifle.
Raven moved to close the distance but Yang was there to chase her down.
"Come and face me!" She shouted, aiming Ember Cilica behind her back before firing to give her the extra boost.
It worked in getting Raven's attention because she turned around with a frown on her face as she brought Omen up to block Yang's kick.
Yang's feet immediately made contact with Raven's blade and credit where credit was due, Raven held firm as mother and daughter locked eyes before Yang used the blade as a foothold to leap back away from Raven.
Raven grunted but her eyes only widened when she saw Yang grin at her.
"Ruby, now!"
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Sniper rounds whizzed towards Raven's back, hitting her and making her stumble forward as her Aura flashed to protect her.
"Ha! How do you like Crescent Rose now?!"
"Huh, you actually managed to hit me." Raven blinked in surprise and Yang couldn't help but grin wider at that.
Gasps sang out from the crowd and Yang heard the murmurs even as she moved to exploit Raven's vulnerability.
"Holy shit!"
"They actually landed a hit!"
Oh it was going to be more than just landing a hit. Yang Xiao Long was going to knock her mother out.
She cocked her fist, grinned a feral grin, and stomped forward.
Her fist flew out, only to freeze as Yang found a sword half a foot away from her throat.
A whimper escaped her mouth as the fire in her hair died down and her eyes turned back to their lilac color.
Suddenly, it wasn't Raven standing in front of her.
It was Adam Taurus.
He grinned and Yang quaked.
And as he swung his sword back to gather momentum, Yang could do nothing but watch as it approached her-
"YANG!"
Red burst everywhere and Yang blinked as Adam Taurus melted away. In his place was her mother.
And the red around her? Rose petals fluttering in the wind as Ruby charged in with Crescent Rose
The sword was swung alright but it was not aimed at her.
Raven swung Omen to the side to block Ruby's attack before she used her other hand to grab Ruby's wrist.
Ruby only had time to widen her eyes before she was being pulled closer for her stomach to meet Raven's knee.
Spit flew ever and Yang watched shakily as Ruby fell on her knees, grasping her stomach as Raven loomed over her.
Before Yang could even gather herself to protect her sister however, Raven's foot was already buried in her guts.
Breath left her lungs in a gasp at that and she felt herself fold over her mother's foot before being launched backwards onto her back.
She watched the clouds pass overhead before she had the presence of mind to sit up and try to crawl to her sister, what she saw however, paralyzed her.
Ruby knelt, looking up at Raven with Crescent Rose beside her.
And Raven?
Raven had her sword in both hands, raised high above her head and poised to slash Ruby in two.
And as Raven's hands fell, so did her sword.
A scream tore out of Yang's throat at that before it was suddenly choked when a red portal appeared beside Ruby.
Yang blinked.
Ruby blinked.
Raven however, only kicked Ruby sideways into the portal.
Yang watched as her sister disappeared from view and she sat there gaping as silence dominated the makeshift arena.
"What...What did you do with my sister?"
"She passed her test so I sent her back to Vale." Raven answered as she sheathed her sword at Yang's question.
Yang could only blink dumbly at that.
"What?"
"She was strong enough to land a blow so I sent her back." Raven shrugged before shaking her head at Yang disappointedly. "You, however, are not."
"That's not fair." Yang gritted her teeth at that. "Ruby only managed to hit you because I distracted you. If anything, you should send me back with her because of that."
Raven however only raised an eyebrow at her. "Send you back? When you can't even fight when a sword is straight up pointed towards you?"
Yang flushed ashamedly as she heard snickers around her.
As much as she wanted to deny it however, everyone could see it was true.
Her momma, her real momma did not raise a quitter though.
Summer Rose raised her to be passionate and brave and when she died, Yang only held onto those traits tighter.
"So all I have to do is hit you, right?" She stood up shakily, bringing her fists up even as people continued to laugh around her.
Raven was not laughing though. For the first time since they fought, she looked at her. Truly looked at her.
Not as a wayward mother with regrets, disappointment, or pity in her eyes, but as a warrior.
Raven Branwen looked at her as a warrior.
"You're afraid." Raven noted, looking at Yang's shaky hands and pale face.
Yang only grinned shakily at that however, keeping her hands up as she answered her mother. "Fuck yeah I am. I'm afraid to get my throat slahed again but all I have to do is not get hit, right?"
"But what if you do get hit?"
Yang gulped at the question.
The memory of Adam's attack still terrorized her of course and while her mother having a sword and wearing the same color scheme did not help things, Yang bravely hit her fists together in a show of courage
"If I get hit then I just need to hit back harder!" She shouted, her hair blazing brightly once again as her eyes turned red with a grin on her face.
She was still shaking. She was still pale. But she was not going to quit swinging.
The laughter died down then and in its place were murmurs of approval.
Yang didn't pay attention to anyone else however, instead, she kept her eyes at Raven.
Raven, who was suddenly smiling straight at her.
"Branwen Rule of Fighting number 12."
Yang's mouth twitched at that but she only huffed out a laugh at her mother.
"Nah, I call it the Xiao Long rule of fighting number 2."
"Number 2? What's number 1?" Raven asked curiously, her hand travelling back towards Omen's grip.
"That used to be number 1 actually but now I have a new rule." Yang answered, crouching down as she opened her arms towards her mother. "Wanna know what it is?"
She saw Raven pause but both mother and daughter kept still for a moment even as Yang continued.
"Don't get hit."
Yang charged.

Taiyang Xiao Long impatiently tapped his foot on the wooden floor as he finally turned off the TV.
He could no longer bear to hear just how many were dead. Especially not in his current situation.
It was already late in the afternoon and still he had had no word of how his girls were doing.
No calls, no messages, and no sight of them even after seeing their teammates on TV.
Frankly speaking, Tai was already getting worried-scratch that, he was already freaking out!
Oh Gods, oh Gods, oh Gods!
He tried to contact Qrow's Scroll for help or any information but his Scroll only rang back that he couldn't be reached!
Same as Yang and Ruby!
Tears were already gathering in his eyes and his hands were already shaking as he tried to tap another name on his Scroll but again, the person couldn't be reached!
The one time he actually tried to call Ozpin and the man actually didn't answer!
He couldn't help it then.
Taiyang Xiao Long cried.
"Oh Gods, please. Please not my girls." He pleaded as his knees hit the wooden floor.
There was only so much a man could take after all and this was the worst case scenario.
With even Zwei gone, the house was empty except for him, frankly speaking, Taiyang Xiao Long would not be able to take it if the worst had actually come to pass.
He would actually die.
No one else could hear him sob as he began to lose all hope yet as darkness crept up at the edges of his vision he cried, a familiar sight appeared in front of him.
A red portal appeared and out came his daughter Ruby Rose
Ruby crumpled onto the floor with a groan as Tai knelt there gawking.
"Ow."
That was the word that broke the spell and before Tai knew it, he was already scooping up his daughter into a hug as Raven's portal blinked into nothingness.
"Ruby!"
"Dad?!" Ruby yelled out before wincing as Tai held her tighter. "Ow, ow, ow!"
Tai scrambled backward at that, moving his hands as he leaned on his haunches.
"Sorry! Sorry! Are you okay?!" He asked panickedly, taking in bis daughter as his hands moved to her shoulders.
"Dad?! I-what?! Yeah, I'm fine!" Ruby asked as she looked around with wide eyes.
Tai breathed relievedly at that. If she could answer like that while not groaning in pain then she was okay.
"Where's Yang?" He asked and his eyes narrowed as he looked at the spot where Raven's portal appeared.
"Yang! Oh Gods! We were fighting Raven!" Ruby exclaimed and Tai's eyes immediately widened at that.
"You were fighting Raven?! What?! Why?!"
"Yeah! She told us she would only send us back if we manage to land a hit on her!" Ruby answered but Tai only frowned.
"Why were you with Raven in the first place? Where were you?"
He saw Ruby wince at that but Tai only stayed silent as Ruby answered.
"At first, we were fight the White Fang inside a train and then..." Ruby trailed off even as Tai's eyebrows rose.
The White Fang?! Train?!
His daughters were on the train that hit Vale?!
In hindisight however, Tai should have already expected that considering he saw their teammates Ruby told him about in the news.
But then, how did Raven get involved?
"...and then Yang got hurt really bad. That's when Aunt Raven appeared."
That would do it.
"How bad?" He asked gravely. He knew how Raven's Semblance worked. Other than opening portals to people she had a bond with, it gave her some sort of awareness of the conditions of those who were linked to her.
For her to appear when Yang was hurt meant it was really really bad. Ruby's guilty and pale face only supported that thought but she eventually shook her head while raising her hands up frantically.
"She's okay now but Aunt Raven took us away from the train towards her bandit camp. We met Uncle Qrow there."
Tai raised an eyebrow at the deflection but he was willing to humor Ruby. He could always ask Yang or even Raven when he found them because believe him, nothing was going to separate him from his little girl. He was even willing to travel to Mistral and look for Raven's bandit camp if she didn't bring Yang home soon. For now however, he was willing to get the whole story first.
"You met Qrow inside Raven's camp? What was he doing there?"
"He was hurt, I think."
Tai blinked. Qrow was hurt?! What?! How?!
Before he could even say a word however, he saw Ruby frown at him.
"And then Aunt Raven said something."
Tai blinked at that. There were a lot of things Raven could have said but the fact that Ruby was frowning at him was not good news.
"What? What is it?" He asked nervously as Ruby continued to purse her lips at him.
"She said a lot of things but is it really true that you all slept with mom?"
"I-uh-what?" Tai's heart almost stopped at that and he could only stutter so much before he had to answer.
Ruby only looked at him with focused eyes however but luckily for him, another red portal appeared.
Tai was never going to admit it but he had never been happier to see Raven's portal in his life.
He would be quickly proven wrong however because he suddenly became infinitely happier when his firstborn walked through it with a large smug grin on her face.
"Ha! And you thought it would take some time before I get to punch you!"
Tai took the situation for what it was, an opportunity to escape Ruby's question and her daughter returning home.
"Yang!" He shouted, rushing toward his daughter as she jolted in surprise.
"Dad?!"
"You're safe!" He teared up, hugging his daughter as tight as he could.
He felt her breath rush out of her mouth before her hands moved to hug him in return.
"Hey, dad." She replied softly and Tai smiled as he leaned back before freezing as another figure exited the portal just before it disapppeared.
He never thought he would see the day again but Raven Branwen just set foot inside his own house.
She grumbled to herself, bypassing both father and daughter as she walked towards his kitchen.
Tai...well Tai was feeling a lot of things. Shock, surprise, gratefulness, regret, confusion, and trepidation just to name a few because really, what the fuck was Raven doing in his home?!
He got his answer however when they all turned to see his ex-wife open his fridge, grab a bottle of beer, bite the cap off, and walk to sit on his couch before turning on the tv.
Immediately, the sound of the News rang out in his house and his youngest immediately gasped when she saw a couple of familiar figures.
"That's Jaune, Blake, Pyrrha, and Weiss!" Ruby called out, immediately rushing to sit beside Raven to watch the tv.
Raven had no reaction to that whatsoever as she only leaned back and sipped her beer.
Again, Tai blinked at that because really, what the fuck?
The sight of Ruby and Raven peacefully sitting on his couch broke his brain so much that he just decided to shake his head and focus on what was in front of him, namely, his daughter.
He took in his daughter with his eyes and immediately froze when he saw an angry red scar running across her neck.
"You're hurt." He said softly, his finger hovering above Yang's neck.
Yang wilted away from him, looking away as she stepped back and covered her wound with a hand.
"Haha, it's fine, dad. I'm okay now." She laughed shakily yet both of them immediately snapped their heads when they heard Raven snort.
"See, that was a fucking lie."
"Language!" Ruby immediately barked even as she kept her eyes glued to the tv showing a replay of Jaune Arc fighting the Grimm.
Raven only huffed a laugh however amd Tai blinked as she turned her head to look at him and Yang from the corner of her eye.
"You're not fine, Yang. Don't lie to your father."
"Hey! I decked you in the face, didn't I?! If I could do that then I must not be that hurt, unless of course, you're just that weak." Yang shot back with a feral grin, glaring at her mother even as Raven bristled at that.
"You decked me because I let you, you idiot! You leapt straight towards my sword! What was I supposed to do?! Stab you?!"
"Yang!" Tai immediately shouted with wide eyes, reprimanding his daughter with just one word as she leaned away from him.
"What?! I'm okay, aren't I?!"
"She could have killed you!"
""No, I/she wouldn't.""
Mother and daughter reeled back as they both said the same thing. Tai could see how much it affected Raven by how her eyes widened before she schooled her face into a neutral expression.
It was Yang who managed to speak first however, vitriol spouting out of her mouth as she scowled at Raven.
"See? She doesn't have the balls to do it. She's a coward."
Contrary to her belief however, it was no victory for her.
"Yang, deciding not to kill her own daughter does not make her a coward." Tai chastised, finally deciding to intervene.
Yang flinched back at that, her face pale at the chastisement and they both saw Raven gape at him with wide eyes.
Tai wasn't done however because he decided to stare coldy at Raven as well. "Leaving her family however, is an entirely different matter."
Raven gasped as if she was punched but again, she managed to school her expression.
Silence dominated his house once again as both mother and daughter decided to look away from him at that. Even Ruby kept quiet as Tai saw her awkwardly glue her eyes to the tv.
Tai sighed.
As much as Yang and Raven seemed to refuse to get along with each other, they were far too alike for his liking.
Prone to anger and ready to face every single challenge.
With how they were right now, they were just riling each other up.
Luckily for him, the solution was simple.
Separate them.
And between the two of them, he knew who he wanted out of the house.
"Why are you even here, Raven?" He called out, looking at her even as she froze up and kept herself turned away from him.
"I...I'm just following my end of a bargain. A deal is a deal."
"Huh?" Tai tilted his head and he turned to Yang for some answers.
"Ruby and I had to hit her as a test so she would send us back. I expected to see Uncle Qrow here though, she sent him away first." Yang nodded, narrowing her eyes at Raven who now only kept her eyes at the tv.
"He's with Ozpin. No, wait. He's not anymore." Raven nodded sourly before a frown crept up her face.
"What do you mean?" Tai frowned at that.
"I'll explain later." Raven shook her head while looking at him pointedly.
Tai could only sigh at that.
"Alright, but that doesn't explain why you are still here."
The air suddenly grew cold between them and silence once again dominated his house as Raven slowly turned towards him while both Yang and Ruby froze.
Tai did not blame them for freezing. It was perhaps the first time they were both exposed to what was essentially a fight between their mom and dad.
And he knew just who to blame for that.
Tai smiled bitterly even as Raven narrowed her eyes at him.
"I saved their lives, Tai-"
"And I'm grateful for that but again, why are you staying here?" Tai interrupted, nodding even as Raven gritted her teeth.
"I would think that saving them at least deserves some hospitality."
"Fine, you can stay for one minute. After, you tell me what's up with Qrow."
Was he being petty? Maybe but let Raven be angry, what she was feeling now was nothing compared to the pain and sadness she left them with.
"One minute?!" Raven blew up, standing up and marching towards him as he watched her nose flare in anger.
Tai however only crossed his arms, staring down as the woman he once loved stared up at him.
The air between them felt charged with history even as Tai took the time to assess his first wife. It was, after all, the first time they were seeing each other again.
He could see the frazzled hair, the rough skin, and the bags under her eyes that weighed her down.
Say what you will about Raven Branwen however but she was still beautiful in a feral sort of way.
Still, if she took more care of herself then he was sure those luscious locks of black hair would shine better, her skin wouldn't be so dry, and the bags under her piercing red eyes wouldn't be that large.
He must have shown something on his face because he saw her lips smirk up slowly.
"Are you sure one minute is all you could spare for me?"
He felt his face flush a bit at that but Taiyang Xiao Long was no longer a hormonal teenager. He was a man grown with two daughters.
"Please, it's the only time I'm willing to give you." He scoffed even as the corner of his lips lifted up.
He gasped lightly however when Raven lifted a palm up to his chest.
"Is that so? Are you sure I can't convince you to give me an extension?" She asked coyly, her eyes softening as her lips lifted up teasingly and a finger traced a circle over his chest.
Tai would have liked to say that he only raised an eyebrow in reply and laughed at Raven's but he would be lying.
Instead, his heart skipped a bit as he stammered.
"H-Ha! As if-"
"I'll make it worth your while." Raven landed the finishing blow with a wink as her tongue poked out to lick her lips.
Tai immediately looked away from Raven's form with a blush on his face.
"Ha! I still got it!" Raven laughed mockingly at that even as Yang whispered beside him.
"What the fuck was that?"
"That, Yang, was how your father and I started to conceive you."
"Raven!" He yelled out immediately, he tried to be angry, he really really did but he could only cover his face in embarrassment as both his daughters gagged at them.
"Ew! Ew! Ew! No! I did not need to know that!" Yang shouted as Ruby eeped and turned towards the tv while Raven laughed loudly.
Alright, he will admit it. In its own messed up way, this was fun.
Even as Raven mockingly laughed at him and Yang gagged and pretended to vomit on the side, this was really really fun.
From a day that started with terror and worry, Tai could not deny that on this day, Raven brought him happiness.
Who would have thought Raven would bring him happiness from out of nowhere? Not him certainly.
Though that did not answer the fact, what now?
Raven was here.
His daughters were here.
What now?
The answer came in the form of Ruby gasping and pointing to the tv.
"That's Zwei!"
And it was Zwei.
Tai turned to see an image of his dog nipping on the heels of four people inside Beacon's halls plastered on the tv.
The image showed the four's back so whoever took the picture, probably a fellow student, was most likely hiding.
Tai saw Ruby perked up at that and she took the image for what it was.
An excuse to escape from his house.
"Come on, Yang! Let's go get Zwei!" Ruby screamed, zooming past Tai as she grabbed Yang on the way.
"Ruby wait! At least let me get something to hide my scar!"
"Jaune could heal it!" Ruby shouted back and Tai sighed as he was left alone with his first wife.
She raised an eyebrow at him while cocking her hips. "Not going to follow them?"
"And leave you here to ransack my home? Nah."
"What are you going to do then?"
"That's a good question." He sighed, walking past Raven to open his own fridge and grab a six pack.
Raven blinked at him but Tai only ignored her as the stress of the day finally left his body in a rush. He felt tired and wrung out as he finally sat on his couch and continued watching the tv.
Now that he wasn't worrying about his daughters, he finally had the space of mind to parse the news about what the fuck was happening in Vale.
He felt Raven sit down beside him. They weren't touching but they were there, together.
He grabbed a beer for himself and put the rest between them.
"Not going to kick me out?" She asked, grabbing one for herself even as Tai continued to watch.
"Nah. I know you'll just leave on your own again."
He felt Raven freeze before sighing as she leaned back on the couch.
"That's fair but what if..." She trailed off and Tai couldn't help but have his eyes follow her.
The Raven he was seeing now was a far cry from before. Gone was the anger, the cruel laugh, the sharp smile. What was left was a woman with a resigned smile and a sad look on her eyes.
Raven Branwen was a cold, cruel, mean woman but it seems even she had warm parts to her.
What if-
Nah, Raven wasn't going to stay. She made it clear the she chose her tribe over them. This was just a pasttime to her, her following a through a deal with Yang and Ruby.
There was no reason for Tai to hope, not that he was hoping. The only reason he wasn't kicking her out himself was because it would be too annoying to do so, or so he told himself.
Because what if Tai decided to hope and Raven left? It would be another round of pain for his family so he did not hope.
But what if she stayed?
Tai followed her with his eyes and shrugged.
Weiss Schnee was not going to stay here.
That's what Winter has decided on.
Hours after cleaning up the mess under Beacon's vaults and accompanying and debriefing Qrow before taking him to the infirmary, Winter finally had the time to check up on her sister.
Jaune Arc was right in saying that they just needed to cool down before talking to each other.
The short time apart just made Winter more resolute and helped gather her thoughts in order to be able to convince Weiss to come with her.
And while Winter was never going to approve of Jaune Arc while he was three-timing her sister, giving sound advice was at least a mark in his favor.
She was walking towards Weiss' dorm however when she encountered an unexpected sight.
"Ms. Rose, Ms. Xiao Long." She called out with wide eyes and both sisters turned towards her in surprise.
She saw the scar lining Ms. Xiao Long's neck even as the girl uncomfortably tried to hide it. Winter's mind immediately leapt to Weiss' story earlier at that.
It was sad to hear people as young as them be exposed to that degree of danger but it seemed the sisters were taking it well if they managed to return here.
"Weiss' sister!" Ruby Rose pointed at her and Winter's lips tilted upward at the enthusiasm in her voice.
"Yes, Ms. Rose. It gladdens me to see that both of you are okay. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get here so fast? I was under the impression that Ms. Xiao Long's mother took you away with her."
Winter saw Ruby Rose gasp in surprise even as Yang Xiao Long scowled at the mention of her mother.
"How do you know about that?" Yang asked angrily but Winter only raised an eyebrow at that.
"Your teammates' testament gave us the information needed to infer what exactly happened. Your mother's Semblance is not exactly a state secret, you know?"
"Weiss, Blake, are they okay?" Ruby asked worriedly but Winter only nodded towards the dorm in front of them.
"I was actually on my way to visit them. Would you care to accompany me? I'm sure they would like the surprise you bring. They were very distressed when they thought you were gone, you know?"
Ruby gasped happily, clapping her hands as she led the way. Winter followed, walking beside Yang as the other girl only looked uncomfortable.
Winter was no stranger to injuries but even she could see how bad Ms. Xiao Long's was from this angle.
The skin was still a little bit red around the wound and she was still a little bit pale but Winter could see Yang Xiao Long was bravely fighting back the exhaustion.
Part of her wanted to say something to soothe the younger woman but she could see how uncomfortable she was with attention being drawn to her wound.
Instead, Winter decided to keep it light. Sometimes, the best thing to do was to keep one's mind off of things.
"Did you see the news?" She asked, getting Yang Xiao Long to grunt even as Ruby Rose skipped happily in front of them.
"Yeah, we saw the attack. Also saw Jaune kissing your sister by the way."
It was Winter's turn to grunt at that as her eye twitched at the reminder.
To be honest, Winter did not begrudge Weiss finding her own romance.
Even Winter herself had her own dalliances when she was a student and while none of them went past kissing, they were certainly not with someone already entangled with other women!
She just wished her sister would have had the sense not to engage in something so scandalous.
Winter sighed. No matter, after all of this, she was going to convince Weiss to come with her and hopefully everything will be behind them.
She looked up when she heard Ruby Rose hum excitedly while staring at a certain door. Her silver eyes lit up as she turned towards her sister with a smile on her face.
"Ready, Yang?" Ruby asked even as Yang looked away and rubbed her neck uncomfortably.
"Yeah, it's best to get this over with." She answered forlornly but Winter could see her lips lift from the corner of her eyes at the prospect of seeing her teammates again.
Winter only smiled at that, nodding towards Ruby Rose who brought out her Scroll.
As team leader, she naturally had access to their room whether it was locked from the inside or not and as the door beeped open, Winter anticipated Weiss' look of surprise.
Who would have guessed however that they were the ones who were going to be surprised?
Certainly not her but as the door slid open, the world slowed as Winter was shown a full view of her sister's ass.
Her sister's ass that was rapidly rising up and down while her pussy swallowed Jaune's dick whole.
The world slowly sped up back to normal and with it came screams.
"""""AHHHHHHH!"""""
It was from them. It was from inside. It was from around them.
Screams came from everywhere but Weiss' voice only let out moans.
"JAUNE!~ JAUNE!~ JAUNE!~ I'M CUMMINGGGG!"
Jaune Arc replied with a roar of his own and as Weiss lifted her ass up, Winter was treated to the full view of Jaune Arc's phallus.
The phallus that was erupting on its own. Semen shot up towards Weiss before her sister's ass came down again.
And with it, was Winter's consciousness.
As her body dropped to the floor and darkness began to claim her vision, all Winter could see was Jaune Arc's dick inseminating her sister.
THUD!
"JAUNE!"
The familiar voice jolted him out of the pleasurable haze he was in and his eyes widened even as his dick continued to fill Weiss' tight pussy up.
"RUBY!" He yelled, his hands gripping Weiss tighter as she continued to moan above him.
"I can't believe you! We just talked about this! Don't use our room for your business!" Ruby cried out but Jaune could only gasp as Weiss grinded to a halt.
"Don't look!"
He heard a whistle however and when his eyes finally looked over Weiss' shoulder, he saw Ruby covering her eyes while Yang looked unapologetically beside her.
"Ya-"
"YANG!"
His reprimand was cut off because a black blur bumped into Yang all of a sudden.
"Blake?! You're naked!" Yang called out with wide eyes, suddenly finding her arms full of a certain catgirl as Pyrrha blinked from Blake's bed.
"Ruby? Yang?" Pyrrha called out in confusion, coming out of her own daze from her alone time with Blake.
"I'm so glad you're okay!" Blake only cried out, tightening her hold as Yang flushed brightly.
"Uhh, a little too enthusiastic there, partner."
"Ew! Ew! Ew! Gross!" Ruby called out, turning behind her to look away from all of them as she closed the door on their room. She squeaked in surprise however when she suddenly felt arms encompass her from behind.
"Hello, Ruby. I'm glad you're back." Pyrrha said softly, following Blake's own example as she greeted their friends.
"P-Pyrrha! I can feel your chest!" Ruby only stammered and while Pyrrha giggled, Jaune took the time to slowly lift Weiss off of him.
He felt her pussy cling tightly to him, providing his already sensitive dick with more pleasure. It hardened easily and as he lifted Weiss inch by torturous inch, he saw Yang's eyes widen.
Lilac eyes locked onto blue as Jaune looked over Weiss' shoulder but he was past beyond caring about his nudity. He heard Weiss moan beside his ear as her face came closer towards him but just like before, she was so out of it.
"R-Ruby? Y-Yang?" She shivered deliriously, her tongue lolling out while Jaune shushed her softly as his dick finally came free right in front of Yang.
Yang gasped as his dick bounced freely in the air while still slick with his own cum and Weiss' fluids.
Yang gasped, getting Blake's attention who slowly leaned back and turned to where she was looking. She smirked when she saw his hard member and Jaune saw her eyes light up as she nudged her partner.
"Want a taste?"
Heads immediately snapped towards her even as Jaune blushed furiously.
Another one?!
This time however, Yang hesitantly looked towards her partner while rubbing her throat and there, Jaune saw an angry red scar.
He gasped immediately, gently laying Weiss down on her beside him before rolling out to approach Yang.
"Yang, you're hurt."
Yang froze at that, turning away from him as she chuckled awkwardly.
"N-Nah, me? I'm fine. You can just go back to...doing what you were doing!"
He saw the blush on her face but Jaune paid no mind to it, his hand reached out, landing on Yang's shoulder as Blake leaned away to give some space.
Yang stood still at that but as Jaune's hand slowly approached her neck, her hand shot up to grab his wrist.
"Don't. Don't you try to seduce me like this."
Jaune laughed hysterically before shaking his head. "I'm not trying to seduce you, Yang. I'm trying to heal you."
Involuntarily, his mind remembered Amber's state. He wasn't able to help her but he'll be damned if he wasn't going to be able to help a friend. No, he was healing Yang whether she liked it or not.
Luckily for him, it seems she was going to like it. Her lilac eyes traveled back to meet his and Jaune saw her smile hesitantly.
"Really? You think you can heal me?"
Jaune only smiled confidently. "I know it."
His hand immediately glowed brightly just as Yang released it. It took no time at all for him to gently wrap a hand on her neck and as he slowly pushed his Semblance towards her, he heard her moan.
"D-Damn." She whispered, shivering as her knees began to shake.
"Are you okay, Yang?" He asked even as an answer immediately left her mouth.
"M-More." She moaned.
Ah, well. He couldn't help but blush at that even as his member perked up. As he felt the scar begin to squirm under his hand however, he let go.
Yang immediately fell to her knees, gasping as her hand shot up to her neck. Kneeling in front of him like this, Jaune couldn't help but have indecent thoughts invade his brain. Luckily for him however, his best friend was there to snap him out of it.
"Yang?! Are you okay?!" Ruby called out, still being held by Pyrrha tightly while turned away from them.
Jaune blinked even as Yang began to cough wetly. Busy as he was with Yang, Jaune missed the sight of Pyrrha and Blake's reaction to his action. They looked at him with bated breaths and as they looked down on Yang, Jaune saw the moment both their lips lifted up knowingly.
Jaune only blushed but he only blushed harder when Yang slowly turned to look up at him.
"I-I'm okay."
There she was, kneeling in front of him with his dick right in front of her face. She breathed in and Jaune saw her eyes glaze over before they sharpened as they looked challengingly back at him.
"Yeah, I'm okay." She repeated with a grin and Jaune couldn't help but gulp as she looked playfully at his dick in front of her and then back up towards his eyes.
"Uhm guys? What is happening? You're getting dressed right?" Ruby asked but Jaune could only stay frozen as Yang smirked.
She leaned forward, her breath ghosting over his cockhead as only an inch separated them.
"Yeah, they're changing. I'm watching Jaune dress right now." She answered even as Ruby groaned loudly.
"Ew! Please don't be weird, Yang!"
Yang chuckled and Jaune gasped as she opened her mouth wide with a bright blush on her face. "Consider this my thanks."
As Yang started to lean forward however, they all froze as another groan interrupted them.
"Ughhh...Weiss?"
Winter Schnee twitched slowly and call it instinct or something else but Blake was suddenly kneeling and chopping her neck.
They all froze as Winter Schnee dropped back down and it was at that moment that Weiss finally decided to come back to the land of the living.
"Ughh...what was that?" She moaned out, her eyes becoming clearer as she rolled over and began to sit up. She froze however when she finally looked at them.
Jaune what a strange sight they made. Three naked people stood there as one hug Ruby while Yang knelt in front of him, not to mention, there was a Specialist slumped on the ground.
"Yang?! Ruby?! Winter?!"
Those were the words that broke the standstill because Jaune suddenly moved away from Yang and began to pick up his clothes with a pale face.
"Right, time to go."
"Go? Go where? What is happening?!" Ruby shouted even as Pyrrha tightened her hold on her and kept her looking at the door.
"Argus, we need to go to Argus." She answered as Jaune nodded in agreement.
They knocked out a Specialist, Weiss' own sister, not to mention, she probably saw them! Whether she remembered or not was not something Jaune wanted to leave to chance and so they were left with one option. Flee.
"What?! Why Argus?! We just got here!" Yang called out, finally standing up as she looked straight at his naked ass even as he threw Weiss' clothes to her while Blake went back to her bed to look for hers and Pyrrha's.
"Long story short, Headmaster Ozpin is about to announce an extended break. We have to leave Beacon anyway, we are just going to flee now." Jaune answered, finally managing to get his pants on as he turned towards Yang who looked at him hesitantly.
Jaune could only smile back unsurely at her expression.
What they were just about to do earlier was something not confined in the bounds of their own friendship. It was certainly something past that. It was on the way to the type of relationship he and his lovers had but now that it was cut short, neither of them knew how to act towards each other.
"I-We can't leave our dad. He...He just thought we died." Yang finally said as Ruby gasped loudly.
"Right, we were just here to pick up Zwei!"
Rose petals bloomed in the room as Ruby suddenly appeared on top of her bed while Zwei was apparently settled.
He yawned and barked sleepily as Ruby scooped him up even as Jaune nodded sadly at Yang.
"I see, this is it then?"
Everyone froze at that, looking towards him at his grave words. Jaune watched as Yang made a complicated expression before a grin lit up her face.
"Nah, this is just a see you later. When you get back, we are going to talk things through."
"You better." Pyrrha cut in with a smile on her face and Jaune reeled back as the atmosphere suddenly became lighter. "I'll go get Ren and Nora." She said after finishing to change into her clothes.
"What about us?" Blake asked, tilting her head as Pyrrha rushed past her with a peck on the cheek. "If Beacon is going to have an extended break, we still need somewhere to go. Are we going to go with you?"
"Quite right and I refuse to return home just yet. Not when everything is still so...fresh." Weiss interjected and Jaune reeled back as he turned to see Weiss changing into her dress.
"Well someone's finally with us." Yang smirked, getting Weiss to blush furiously as she looked away from them.
"S-Shut it, you! I-It's just...Jaune overwhelmed me is all."
Jaune blushed at that, looking away as Yang snickered loudly at him. Luckily for him, Weiss suddenly rushed past him and fell onto Yang's arms.
"Anyways, I'm glad you're okay, Yang."
"Yeah, I'm glad I'm okay too." Yang chuckled softly, looking past Weiss' shoulders towards him.
From this point of view, Jaune could see what used to be an angry red scar shrank into a nearly invisible white line. It was still there, a mark at how close to danger Yang was, but it was no longer prominent and wouldn't draw attention away from her beautiful hair and magnetic lilac eyes.
He blinked when another figure zoomed past him.
"How about me, Weiss?! Did you miss me?!" Ruby asked with a grin on her face and he saw Weiss roll her eyes good-naturedly before turning around to smile at Ruby.
"Of course, you dolt. I'm glad you're okay."
"Ohhh! Yeah! Team hug!" Ruby yelled excitedly and Jaune watched as Team RWBY finally managed to hug each other once again.
He couldn't help but smile at the sight and it was at that moment did Nora decide to barge in.
"What's happening?! I heard we were going to Argus!" She asked, miraculously stepping past Winter's prone form to look at them before gasping. "Ruby?! Yang?! You're here!"
She leapt, trying to join in the group hug before Ren actually managed to catch her.
"Give them some space, Nora." He called out, smiling even as he nodded towards Yang and Ruby. "Yang, Ruby, we're glad you're okay."
"Thanks, Ren, thanks, Nora." Ruby giggled happily, looking toward them even as Ren tilted his head at Jaune.
"What's this about Argus?"
"Beacon is going to have an extended break. We need somewhere to go where the reporters won't find us. Pyrrha has offered to host us at Argus." Jaune answered.
Ren nodded before turning towards Team RWBY once again. "Are you coming with us?"
Indecision shot through all four girls faces before Yang shook her head.
"We can't. We're staying with our dad at Patch." Yang answered before Ruby's eyes lit up and a gasp left her mouth.
"Blake and Weiss can come live with us! We can train together until the end of the break!"
Well, that answered that conundrum. Smiles once again dominated the room before another groan cut in.
Winter stirred and everyone froze. For one single moment, they feared the beast had awoken but thankfully, Winter Schnee stayed silent once again.
"Right, whatever we are doing, we should probably do it now."
Nods and smiles answered back at him and it wasn't long before they were all rushing out of the dorms with their things.
When Winter finally awoke, she awoke with a headache. Pain pounded her brain into silence and she took a moment to remember where exactly she was and what just happened.
Once she did that however, she immediately gasped before looking up.
The first thing she noticed was that it was darker. Darker than before she got knocked out at least.
The second thing she noticed was that the room looked ransacked. Bedsheets, blankets, and pillows were thrown everywhere but as she looked at the closets, she found them to be empty.
As she took in the sight however, a memory kept replaying itself on her mind as anger started to bloom. As she closed her eyes and remembered however, Winter could only react in one way.
Winter Schnee screamed.
The scream that tore out of her chest was said to have shaken the windows of Beacon and frightened the students in the neighboring rooms. It was also said she was only screaming one name.
"ARC!"
Nicholas Arc shivered as he finally felt the bullhead he was riding in land in Vale. Motion sickness really was no joke if it could leave a Huntsman like him still shivering.
He would have liked to bring his family with him to help with the sickness but transportation in and out of the city was apparently restricted to Huntsmen and Huntresses willing to help.
Nicholas could understand the reasoning, they probably didn't want additional civilians to add to the grief and somber mood the city was already experiencing. That meant he had to travel alone however but if it was to fetch his son then he could brave a short bout of motion sickness.
As he stepped out of the bullhead with the other Huntsmen coming in however, he missed the sight of a group of students rushing past him to enter another.
Hugs and kisses were shared between the students but as Nicholas Arc walked to the receiving area for incoming visitors, he did not see one group enter a larger bullhead meant to fly to Argus while the other group entered a smaller bullhead headed for Patch.
And with this, JAUNE'S PINEAPPLE JAM PART 1 comes to an end.

[NON-CANON OMAKE!]
Cinder grinned as she felt the power of the Maiden course through her body.
Finally. Finally! She finally got it and she didn't even need to search for the Maiden herself!
Ha! Success really was on her side because not only were their identities not compromised, she also managed to find a hidden gem while technically completing her mission!
Maiden Powers obtained, Jaune Arc was next.
She smiled at the thought. If Jaune amplifying her while she was half a Maiden already gave her ecstasy, what would happen if he amplified her now-
"Hello." A voice spoke inside her head and for a moment Cinder thought she was going crazy. She paled however when the voice continued. "My name is Ozpin and you are probably wondering how I got here."
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
Things only became worse however when another voice called out.
"Ozpin?! Is that you?!"
"Amber?!"
"Shit." She said loudly and it was her mistake because both voices suddenly turned their attention towards her.
"Why, hello there-"
"SHIT! OZPIN! THIS IS THE BITCH THAT KILLED ME!"
Silence, blessed silence only lasted for a moment before Cinder realized she was never going to have silence again because as Ozpin took in the information, he immediately had a response.
"QUICK! SING THE MOST ANNOYING SONG YOU KNOW!"
It was then that Cinder Fall knew, she was in absolutely hell.
