Chapter 51 PVP

Back at his room Haru was checking his rings for what he could use to help Amber. He was alone but it's better that it's like that for now.

"I have healing rings, restoration rings and others from the time I went to that other world. But how am I going to make sure it works?" He wonders.

Then he saw the Hope in the bottom of the chest and he takes it out, he stares at the ring feeling the power.

"This was made from the Philosopher's Stone, could it be the one I actually need?" He thinks about it.

He never tried it since he's not as skill as Haruto when he was done with his adventures when he used it, so he was worried something bad might happen.

"But if it can help her, then might as well consider it." He puts it away.

The door opens and he shuts down the chest fast.

"Hey Haru!" Ruby came with the girls.

"Oh hey." He waves.

"Nic job beating that guy." Yang said.

"Yeah, it was good." He smiles.

"So are you checking your rings?" Blake asked.

"Oh yeah, just getting ready for the next match." He said.

"Well Pyrrha might be going next." Yang said.

"Oh, well that's good." Haru said.

He then thinks about who her opponent will be, he then remembers Penny and he's got a bad feeling.

"Well we'll be going, see you there Haru." Weiss goes out with the girls.

He smiles but he takes out a different ring from the box before going off.

Later

At the areana many were getting excited as they waited for the next match.

"All right, it's now time to begin the randomization process for our next fight!" Port said.

Ruby was going down a hallway and she saw Mercury in front of her. "Mercury?"

The the chosen fighters appeared. "It looks like our first contender is... Penny Polendina from Atlas..."

"What are you doing?" Ruby said.

"And her opponent will be... Pyrrha Nikos from Beacon!"

Ruby got a bad feeling. "No."

"Ooh, polarity versus metal. That could be bad." Mercury said.

Ruby takes out her scythe as the two got ready to fight. The two of them then fought against each other.

Penny and Pyrrha were facing off against each other.

"Sal-u-tations, Pyrrha Nikos! It's an honor to finally meet you!" Penny waves.

Ruby steps back. "Mercury, what are you doing? You were hurt! Why... What's going on? "Mercury doesn't answer, still grinning with malice. "Fine. If you're not going to tell me..."

"Fighters, are you ready?"

"3, 2, 1... Begin!"

The match started with the two girls fighting against each other, Penny is surrounded by Floating Array, gesturing the swords around to her command before launching a volley of them at Pyrrha, who runs towards them and leaps though or deflects each aimed blade.

Haru arrived and saw the fight. "Wait a minute, why is Pyrrha fighting Penny?"

He looks around and saw Emerald run to the side. "Don't tell me... They rigged the fight."

Pyrrha twirls the javelin to block each sword swipe of Penny's, dropping her weapon when she needs to somersault away after being hit by a slash, only to magnetically return it to her hand as Penny readies another wave of blades.

"My word! What a tremendous display by Miss Polendina!" Pyrrha said.

Pyrrha rushes forward and jumps on an incoming sword, swinging down on Penny, only to have the assault halted by a collection of blades, but she leaps away from the retaliatory slice as Penny backs away.

She tries to defend against the multitude of swords, but is forced back regardless, prompting Pyrrha to roll the shield from her back onto her arm with her polarity.

Nora cheers with her team. "Whoo, yeah! Goooo Pyrrha!"

Back with Ruby she managed to push Mercury back as he grunted.

"You got so lucky my plan didn't work." He mutters.

"What do you mean?" She said.

"Nevermind." He shoots at her.

Pyrrha spins wildly as she deflects and dodges each sword, until she gets close enough to Penny to deliver a few slashes with the spear, sending her flying back as Pyrrha bats aside the blades called to their wielder's aid.

Penny slides to a stop and makes a new series of motions, the weapons folding up until she's circled by several laser rifles, a few of which open fire on Pyrrha.

She avoided the blasts and fights off the remaining swords with her blade until she charges at Penny and knock her back. Pyrrha straightens with a victorious grin that disappears into dizziness, she sees Penny rocketing forward, weapons firing behind her like a jetpack so she can leap into the air, then come down as an energized meteor on her opponent.

Ruby managed to knock Mercury to the side as she runs, he chases her and they were close to a entrance to see the fight.

Pyrrha's sword was starting to get sharper edges and it was more deadly. Haru sees something wrong, Penny was going forward and he looks around.

"Gotta do something." He takes out a ring that has a dragon fying machines.

He then uses it before something happens.

SYSTEM DOWN, PLEASE!

It sent a small invisible wave that hits Penny and she shuts down failing to the ground making many gasp.

"Penny?!" Ruby cries out in worry.

"What just happened?" Yang questions.

She was with Weiss and Blake at they're seats and they were surprised too.

Mercuy and Emerald got surprised.

"It seems miss Polendina has fainted." Port said.

"How?" Mercury checks and he saw Haru near an edge.

Haru looks to the side and gives him the finger with the ring there showing Ruby and Mercury that he did it.

"Haru did this?" Ruby questions confused.

"That guy must have done this" Mercury said with a grunt

Yes. I believe this means Pyrrha wins." Oobleck said.

Mercury grunts and runs off before Ruby could get him escaping.

Ironwood came with his men and lifted Penny up, he saw in her eyes that she's been shut down.

"What could have caused this?" He questions.

It can be fixed but what could it have done it, he looks around and sees Haru at the corner.

'Did he know something would happen?'

Ironwood resolves to ask him later. He takes Penny away with his men since at least she wasn't damaged.

Emerald was in shock that they're plan failed.

"This might not turn out good." She said slightly worried

Many got worried which caused negative emotions, but Penny managed to avoid her body getting destroyed. Haru knows something is wrong and he's gotta figure it out.

Someone was watching from the sides in the shadows. "Well let's give a bit more danger." He raises his hands up making darkness spread.

Then many alarms went off surprising many as Haru looks around.

"What's going?!" He said.

"Alert. Incoming Grimm attack. Threat level: Nine. Please seek shelter in a calm and orderly manner."

They saw Grimm charging to Vale and Haru was in shock seeing that, what could have caused them to come. The entite city is in danger and they have to stop it.

Note: Heres PVP, I had to cut other two since theres no reason for them to appear, Haru managed to save Penny using a ring to shut her down, so Pyrrha still won but the Grimm appeared with the help of a stranger.
