A/N. Sorry! It wasn't my intention to take so long to upload another chapter. I wanted to upload around christmas, but that didn't happen as lot of things happened over christmas and the new year unfortunately. But I'm finally and hopefully getting back to a normal routine as I need to start writing more! Anyway, sorry again! I hope eveyone had a good start to the year :)
After finishing making their hot water bottles they both felt the day's warmth and joy settle in, and they both made their way to the bathroom. They brushed their teeth in silence, exchanging contented glances and amused smiles, both of them savouring the calm after such a magical day.
Once ready for bed, they snuggled under the covers, their hot water bottles tucked close, warding off the cold seeping in from the snowy night outside. Bella nestled against Edward, feeling the comforting weight of his arms around her, his warmth making her feel safe and loved.
"Good night, Edward," Bella whispered, her hand gently caressing his cheek. "Thank you for a perfect day."
Edward smiled, brushing his thumb across her hand before pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Good night, love. I should be the one thanking you. Today was everything I could've hoped for."
With that, they drifted off, wrapped in each other's warmth, as the snow continued to fall softly outside.
Bella shifted slightly getting comfortable and nestling deeper into Edward's embrace. The quiet stillness of the room, only interrupted by the occasional crackle of the wind outside, made everything feel even more intimate. Edward's arm was draped protectively around her waist, and his breath was steady against her neck, calming her even further.
She smiled to herself, replaying moments from their day in her mind—the laughter, the kisses, and the small, meaningful gestures that made the holiday feel so special. It was as though all her worries from the past had melted away. Now, here she was, wrapped in the warmth of the man she loved, in the home she had worked so hard to make cosy and welcoming.
Bella couldn't help but whisper in the darkness, "I never thought Christmas could feel this perfect. Thank you for being here with me"
Edward stirred slightly, his voice soft but firm. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, Bella. This—being here with you—it's all I've wanted."
The weight of his words made Bella's heart flutter. She turned slightly to meet his gaze in the dim light and kissed him gently. Then, with a peaceful sigh, she rested her head back against his chest, her hand gently holding his.
"Sleep well, love," Edward whispered.
"You too," Bella murmured in return, feeling a wave of contentment wash over her as she drifted off, knowing they had more beautiful moments to share tomorrow and in all the days to come.
Bella groaned softly as she felt something tickling her and she swatted at the mysterious tickling, only to make contact with something solid. A soft chuckle reached her ears, pulling her from her sleep. She blinked her eyes open, her vision still blurry from drowsiness, and saw Edward grinning down at her, his fingers brushing a stray lock of her hair away from her face.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Edward teased, his voice gentle and affectionate.
Bella squinted up at him, still half-asleep, but a smile tugged at her lips. "Were you messing with me?" she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep.
"Just a little," Edward admitted, his grin widening. "You looked too cute to resist."
She rolled her eyes playfully, reaching up to swat his arm, but it lacked any real force. "You're lucky I'm too tired to retaliate."
Edward leaned down and softly kissed her on the forehead. "Good morning, love," he murmured against her skin, and Bella felt her heart swell.
"Good morning," she whispered back, her hand coming up to rest on his cheek, a lazy smile spreading across her face. "What time is it?"
"Just past eight," Edward replied. "But no rush. We can stay here as long as you like."
Bella sighed contentedly, snuggling deeper into the warmth of the blankets and Edward's embrace. "That sounds perfect." and Edward just holds her against him.
Is it still snowing?" She murmurs against him, enjoying his warmth.
"Yeah, it's still coming down," Edward replied, his voice low and soothing as he held her close. "The whole world outside looks like a winter wonderland."
Bella smiled, picturing the snowflakes dancing outside their window. "I hope it's enough to make a snowman later," she murmured, her eyes fluttering closed again as she nestled against him, soaking in the warmth and comfort of his presence.
Edward chuckled softly, running his fingers gently through her hair. "I think we'll have plenty of snow for that. Maybe we can even have a snowball fight."
"Oh, you're on," Bella said, opening her eyes and shooting him a playful look. "But just remember, I have a competitive side."
He laughed, the sound warm and infectious. "I wouldn't expect anything less. But for now, how about we enjoy the cosy morning before we brave the cold?"
"Sounds like a plan," Bella agreed, a content sigh escaping her lips.
"I'll make breakfast in a bit, but right now, I'm happy to stay here, Considering you were the one that rudely woke me up" she teases playfully.
Edward grinned, feigning innocence. "Rudely? I prefer to think of it as gently waking my beautiful girlfriend to enjoy the snow together."
Bella rolled her eyes, suppressing a smile. "Well, you certainly succeeded in waking me up. But I might need a few more minutes to fully recover from your 'gentle' approach."
"Take all the time you need," he replied, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "I'm more than happy to hold you a little longer."
Bella sighed contentedly, feeling warm and cherished in his embrace. "Okay, Just a few more minutes, then I'll get up and whip us up some breakfast."
"Deal," Edward said, holding her a bit tighter as they both settled back into the warmth of the moment, enjoying the peaceful start to their day.
"I can hear the snow falling," she murmured, glancing at the window. "It sounds so peaceful. I love winter mornings like this."
"Me too," Edward replied, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "There's something magical about waking up to a fresh layer of snow. It makes everything feel like a winter wonderland."
Bella smiled, her heart swelling with affection for him. "You know, I never thought I'd enjoy spending the holidays away from my family. But being here with you has made it so special."
"I feel the same way," Edward said softly. "It's nice to create our own memories together."
They exchanged a warm smile, the kind that spoke volumes without words. Bella shifted slightly, feeling a bit more awake. "Alright, Mr. Cullen. I suppose I should get up and make us that breakfast I promised."
"Are you sure you want to? We could just stay here a little longer…" he suggested, a teasing glint in his eyes.
She laughed, poking him playfully in the ribs. "You're impossible! Breakfast awaits, and I'm not letting you off that easy."
"Alright, alright," Edward relented, raising his hands in surrender. "I'll help you. But first, let me enjoy a few more moments of you being all sleepy and adorable."
Bella rolled her eyes again but couldn't help the smile spreading across her face. "Fine, you can enjoy that for a minute longer, but then we have to get up. The world won't wait for us to start our day."
After a few more moments of cosy silence, Bella finally mustered the energy to sit up. "Okay, time to face the day. Snow and breakfast await!"
Edward grinned as he followed suit, leaning over to kiss her cheek before they both swung their legs over the side of the bed. "Let's make it a morning to remember, shall we?"
"Absolutely!" Bella replied, her excitement bubbling over as they made their way to the kitchen, with Bella slightly bouncing in her steps, ready to take on the day together.
