"Forget About It"
Please enjoy and review!
Opening their eyes, the duos of Miracles and Courage found themselves back in the Digital World and were standing at the end of a familiar looking desert.
A sand storm soon broke out, the wind blowing around the group who had to cover their eyes from the mess.
"Where is everybody?" Agumon questioned when he didn't see their friends anywhere.
"Great, some welcome home." Tai narrowed his eyes as the storm then stopped.
"This is right where we left them. Where could they have gone?" Agumon asked.
"Guys, remember what I told you? Time in the Digital World moves faster than it does in the Human World. We were gone for, like, an hour or so, but to the others, we were gone for way longer than that." Daisuke reminded them.
"That's right. They all left here a long time ago. They're probably trying to find us right now." Veemon said as he jumped out of Daisuke's arms.
"Great, now how're we supposed to find everyone?" Tai sighed.
As if it were answering his question, the Digivices began to beep making the two DigiDestineds pull the devices out of their pockets to see what was causing them to go off.
Holding them out, they found three red dots on the screen.
The two dots that were side by side were Tai and Daisuke, but the third dot was further off in front of them.
"Well, looks like somebody's around because I'm getting a ready from their Digivice." Tai said.
Curiously, he began to move the Digivice around, trying to find where to follow the dot while Daisuke simply started walking in the direction of the red dot.
"Hey, where are you going?" Agumon asked.
"What do you think? I'm going to see who it is nearby. C'mon, guys!" Daisuke called over to them.
Nodding, Veemon jogged after the girl while Tai and Agumon both ran after the dragon, knowing they had no other choice in the matter.
"Geez, you think you can go a little slower for us?" Tai asked as he jogged up to Daisuke's side.
"There, it shows that whoever it is, they're up ahead of us. Hopefully, somewhere out of this stupid desert." Daisuke said as she stared down at the Digivice.
The red dot on the screen seemed to beep a little faster with each step the group took.
"No kidding. We've only been here for a few minutes, but I'm already baking from this heat." Veemon sighed.
The only time he ever liked the heat was when they were going to the beach to spend the day swimming and having fun and eating frozen treats.
"Yeah, and I'm starting to get hungry." Agumon frowned.
"Calm down guys, we're almost there." Tai said as they walked by a lake that had green grass surrounding it.
Soon enough, the group stopped walking when they found themselves at the end of the desert and were now standing in front of a forest.
The air had also grown cooler and made it easier for everyone to walk.
There was a short stone bridge that was made for them to cross over the narrow stream that led off to the ocean.
"Whoa, check it out." Daisuke blinked in surprise at the change in scenery.
"Look at this place. Where are we?" Tai asked.
"I don't know, but it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen." Agumon said.
"Come on." Tai told everyone as he started racing across the bridge, following the beeping dot on the Digivice.
After crossing the bridge, they run deeper into the forest, following the signal which began to beep faster as they continued on.
"The signal's getting stronger." Tai said.
"Whoever it is, they're close." Daisuke stated as she stared down at her Digivice.
Just then, the group stopped running when they saw the three red dots had overlapped each other, signaling that they were very close to the person they were searching for.
Turning to look to the side, the group found a figure through the tree line that was by the edge of a lake.
"Who is it? Who is it?" Agumon asked.
"It's Tokomon!" Veemon gasped.
Tokomon was lying on the ground by himself, TK's Digivice and Crest being left right beside him.
"What happened to him? And where's TK?" Daisuke asked as the group ran over to check on the In-Training.
"I don't know. Hey, what happened little guy? Are you all right?" Tai asked as he picked up the slumbering Digimon.
Dark eyes slowly began to open as Tokomon looked at the two humans that were in his line of sight, staring down at him in worry.
"Not exactly. You look like Tai. You are Tai! You're alive! And Daisuke, too!" Tokomon smiled.
"Yeah, the last time I checked." Tai grinned.
"I'll bet a black gear Digimon got you, right?" Agumon asked him.
Tokomon seemed to grow depressed suddenly.
"No, if it was something simple like that, I wouldn't feel so bad." Tokomon said as he jumped out of Tai's hold and landed on his feet on the ground.
"What do you mean?" Veemon asked.
"And where is everybody? Where's TK? And why did he leave his Digivice and Crest here?" Daisuke asked as she picked up the two items.
"I don't know. He's probably off with his new friend." Tokomon said.
"New friend? What new friend?" Tai asked as he stood up.
"I think you better ask TK." Tokomon told him.
"I would, but he's not here and you are. Now start at the beginning, Tokomon, and tell me exactly what happened." Tai told him.
"Well, you were gone an aweful long time." Tokomon said.
"Told you so." Daisuke stated making Tai frown at her.
"We were? How long?" The goggle head asked.
"We looked high and low for you. I did most of the low part. Finally, Sora snuck away from the group to try and find you guys while everyone was sleeping. That's how it started. First Sora left, then we all went in search of Sora, then someone said maybe we'd cover more ground if we split up. So, Izzy and Tentomon went off one way, and Joe and Gomamon went off another. And pretty soon, only Matt, TK Gabumon and me were left. TK was so upset about it that he started crying, but then Matt told him that you guys would come back soon with presents for everyone and everything would be fine again. I knew Matt was just kidding TK about the presents, but that didn't matter because just then, we found an amusement part, but Matt didn't seem too excited. It was like there was something on his mind that he couldn't stop thinking about. Matt and Gabumon then took a boat across the lake to find some help and promised to be back soon, so we waited. Hours went by and still no Matt. We waited at the park for almost a week. TK spent the whole time staring out at the water, except when he just couldn't stay awake any more. He waited and waited. Finally, after TK started crying and thinking Matt was never coming back, that's when he came. DemiDevimon. He said he wasn't bad anymore and he promised to help us find Matt across the water. I couldn't believe that one of Etemon's creepy henchmen was being helpful, but sure enough, just a few minutes later, he came back and said he found Matt. But, he told us that Matt didn't want to come back to TK and couldn't stand to be around him. I didn't believe that, but TK did. I went to confront DemiDevimon and told him to stop lying to TK and he got me so mad that I attacked him. TK and I got into a fight after that and said that unless I apologized, that he didn't want me around anymore. He threw away his Digivice and Crest before running off to play with DemiDevimon." Tokomon finished up his story.
Everyone was in shock from what they had heard happened, unable to believe how things could have gotten so bad.
As for Daisuke, she was angered when she heard that DemiDevimon was here causing problems.
She remembered him.
Back when she was a child and Myotismon had his minions gathering up children, DemiDevimon was always around teasing and taunting all of the kids, scaring them even more than they already were.
"You see, Tai. We go away for a couple of days and everything falls apart." Agumon frowned.
"This isn't falling apart. This is massive destruction." Veemon crossed his arms.
"Hm. First, let's find out what TK's up to, then we'll look for Matt and the others. Take us to him, Tokomon." Tai said.
"You got it." Tokomon nodded.
Climbing up onto Agumon's head, Tokomon then gave everyone the directions to the amusement park so they could find TK and talk to him about what had happened between the duo of Hope.
As for Daisuke, she was hoping to see DemiDevimon get a beating that he desperately deserved.
"That's the place?" Tai asked when the park came into view.
"Yeah, TK's somewhere in there with that flying phony." Tokomon confirmed.
"Come on guys, let's go find him." Daisuke said as she stepped into the park.
As they wandered around the amusement park, the Digivices began to beep once again making everyone stop as the two humans pulled them out to look the devices over.
"Why's it going off?" Tai asked.
"Could be trouble, that's what it means." Agumon suggested.
"That's always what it means." Veemon commented.
"Never mind that now. Look who I found." Tai said as he stared ahead.
Curious, Daisuke turned to see what Tai was staring at and smiled when she saw a familiar green figure lying his head down on a table nearby.
"TK!" Tai called.
Tiredly lifting his head up from the table, TK began to look around for the source of the voice.
"Whoo hoo!" Agumon called next.
"TK, hey!" Tai said as the group ran over.
"It's my friend!" TK smiled happily as he jumped out of his seat and stared at Tai who stopped running.
"Hey little guy." the goggle head greeted.
"You're back!" TK exclaimed.
"Yeah, and are we glad to see you." Tai grinned.
"Hey there, kiddo." Daisuke smiled as she stepped up next.
Hearing the older girl's voice, TK's eyes grew wide as he turned to look at her and he smiled brightly before tackling her into a hug.
"Daisuke, you're back!" He smiled brightly as he hugged her tightly around the waist.
"Whoa, take it easy. It's great to see you, too." Daisuke laughed as she rubbed his head.
Watching this go on, Veemon wondered how it was possible that Daisuke got along better with the child version of TK than she did the preteen version of him.
Then again, the older TK did have his moments where he tried to usuper her.
"Aw, guys, I was worried. You were gone so long, I thought something bad must've happened." TK said as he looked up at Daisuke, but kept hugging her.
"Well, I'm back again all in one piece." Tai said as Tokomon jumped down from Agumon's head.
"Tokomon, you came back too! So you finally admit that you were wrong and are gonna apologize to him now?" TK asked.
"I wasn't wrong and I won't apologize." Tokomon said.
"Tokomon, what's happened to you? When'd you get to be such a brat?" TK frowned.
"Whoa, hey, calm down." Daisuke said as she placed a hand on his head.
"Hey you two, chill out! Knock off this bickering right now because we've got too many other problems to worry about." Tai said as he held up his hands to stop the argument.
"We've gotta go try and find Matt and all the others." Veemon said.
"Not me. Why should I? They're not nice. They left me behind. First Sora, then the rest, then even my own brother Matt." TK glared as he turned away.
"Come on, TK, it's not your fault they left." Tai stepped up to the boy.
"They hate me! They think I'm a crybaby. Even Matt said I was." TK sobbed.
"Whoa, man, I don't know what this new friend of yours has been telling you, but I happen to know for a fact that Matt does not hate you." Tai smiled.
Siblings may argue and fight and sometimes say terrible things to each other, but they would never hate them for it.
If it were like that, then Daisuke and Jun would hate each other with a fiery passion and wouldn't want to be around the other girl for very long.
"Well, you might not be saying such nice things about him if you knew that I wanted to keep searching for you but he didn't. It's true! He's really jealous of you, Tai. Haven't you ever notice he gets all upset when you and me do stuff together and he hates it when I talk about you. Do you think I could be your little brother instead? Please!" TK cried as he jumped on a stunned Tai.
"What? Uh, I don't think it works that way." Tai said as he then shared a surprised look with Daisuke.
They hadn't been expecting anything like that at all.
"Why not?" TK cried.
"It just doesn't that's all." Tai told him.
"You don't like me either." TK sobbed.
Looking lost on what to do, Tai glanced over at Daisuke and mouthed the words 'Help me' to her which confused the girl.
'How?' she mouthed back to him.
He responded with a shrug, annoying her, but she sighed and decided to try something.
"TK..." She spoke up.
Head picking up, TK turned his teary sapphire colored eyes onto the girl as she kneeled down in front of him and gave him a smile.
"Tai is already someone else's big brother and to be honest, she's really possessive over him. She wouldn't want you to take him away from her." Daisuke said.
She knew this was true.
There had been moments where Kari seemed to be glaring at her whenever she came over to play soccer with Tai and it confused her as to what she had done to make the other girl so upset.
"And besides, if you did replace Matt with Tai, then don't you think you'd be hurting his feelings? Now, come on, dry those tears. You're a big boy and big boys don't cry. Right?" She tilted her head and smiled at him.
Staring at the older girl as she spoke, TK then shook his head as he furiously tried to dry his face and stop himself from crying.
Seeing that she had managed to calm him down, Daisuke felt relieved.
She was honestly thrilled she didn't have a younger sibling to look after; it was far too much work.
"Hey, look up there. Someone's coming." Veemon pointed out making everyone glance over.
A round creature that had clawed feet and wings who was covered in blue fur and had yellow eyes was flying down towards them with a basket full of mushrooms.
"Look, it's DemiDevimon." TK said and Daisuke placed a protective hand on top of his head as she glared up at the flying Digimon.
"That's him? Not the most trust worthy looking guy I've ever seen." Tai commented when he saw the nasty grin on DemiDevimon's face.
"Welcome back, Tokomon. How ya been?" DemiDevimon asked as he landed and set the basket down.
"Okay, what did Matt really say to you?" Agumon snapped at the In-Training making him jump back.
"Cool it buddy, just who are you anyway?" Demidevimon asked.
"We're friends of TK's. Real friends." Tai said.
"Start talking and it better be the truth this time." Agumon demanded.
"It happened just like I told TK. Matt said he was tired of the little guy and didn't want to hang with him anymore." DemiDevimon said as he took to the air.
"I told Matt that brothers really oughta stick together, but he wouldn't listen to me. It's the truth, cross my heart." DemiDevimon smirked as he turned away.
"If you've got one." Agumon said which made Veemon give him a fist bump for the quick line.
"Hey, why would I lie?" DemiDevimon asked.
"That's exactly what Digimon like you do. You like to tease, taunt and hurt people's feelings for fun. All Virus type Digimon are like that." Veemon stated.
All Virus types except for Wormmon, he was very emotional and sensitive.
"If what you're saying is true, then you won't mind taking us to Matt so that we can ask him ourselves." Tai said as he turned back to DemiDevimon.
"That's right. We won't believe anything until we talk to Matt." Daisuke placed her hands on her hips as she gave a defiant look.
"Not at all, but I've gotta warn ya, he's far away." DemiDevimon told them.
"Let's get started then." Tai said.
"Let's go. But it's been a long day; wouldn't you like something to eat first?" Demidevimon asked.
"I am hungry." Tai and Agumon said as they held their bellies making Veemon and Daisuke groan in annoyance.
They knew those two would be whining for food not too long after the large breakfast and watermelon they had earlier that day.
"Me too." TK grinned.
"Well, in that case..." Tai trailed off.
Looking the basket over curiously, Tokomon sniffed at them and DemiDevimon landed beside him.
"I picked these myself. They're fresh and juicy." Demidevimon grinned.
"Hey, wait, don't just eat them raw. Let's do this right." Tai placed a hand on Agumon's shoulder.
A few minutes later, the mushrooms were being grilled as the group stood around, ready to eat them.
"Voila! Mushroom a la barbeque. They'll be ready in just a minute." Tai spoke with a fake French accent.
"Oopsie daisy! Gotta use the little Digimon's room." Agumon said as he then ran off.
"Don't forget to wash your hands or claws or whatever they are." Tai called after him.
"I'm not in the mood for mushrooms. Want to see if there's any cotton candy or whatever here?" Daisuke asked Veemon.
"Sure! You still owe me that ice cream sundae." Veemon grinned.
Confused by that, Daisuke then remembered that that was what they were doing before Azulongmon dragged them into the past.
They had been on their way to get some ice cream to eat.
"Right, but I don't know if they'll have strawberries here." Daisuke gave am amused look.
"As long as they have hot fudge sauce, then it doesn't matter." Veemon chirped.
"Okay TK, you're first. Tell me if it's too hot." Tai said as he handed the mushroom to the boy.
"Want one?" TK asked Tokomon who was standing on the table behind him.
"I wouldn't touch it." Tokomon turned his nose up.
TK simply shrugged as he then opened his mouth to take a bite out of the mushroom, but was stopped by the older boy.
"Hang on, this one didn't get cooked on one side." Tai grabbed it.
Demidevimon then fell out of the tree, teeth gritted in annoyance.
"Yay, finally." TK smiled as he was given another mushroom and went to take a bite, but burned his tongue.
"It's probably still a little hot, huh? Just blow on it." Tai told him and then blew on the blonde's mushroom.
"There, now give it a try." Tai said.
"Smells yummy." TK said as he placed the mushroom in his mouth.
"No, stop it!" Agumon screamed making everyone turn to face him as DemiDevimon fell to the ground in annoyance one again.
"Spit it out! Stop it! Don't eat that mushroom!" Agumon waved his arms to catch their attention.
"It's all right, Agumon. There are plenty of mushrooms to go all around." Tai assured.
"No, don't eat any of them! They're poison, evil, bad stuff!" Agumon announced.
Agumon then pulled the mushroom out of TK's mouth and was relieved to see that the boy hadn't taken a bite out of it.
"Hey!" DemiDevimon flapped up into the air.
"Wait." Tai said as Agumon grabbed the mushroom out of his hand.
"You don't see him eating them. Try one! Come on, open up." Agumon glared as he threw a mushroom at DemiDevimon who kept his mouth tightly closed as the vegetable hit him.
"He won't eat one! He was trying to slip us some mushroom that makes you forget things! They're bad." Agumon said.
Everyone then glared up at DemiDevimon as he finally proved himself to be evil.
"Is that true? Were you trying to poison us?" TK demanded.
"Don't be silly!" DemiDevimon protested.
"You're lying to us just like you lied about Matt!" Tokomon bared his fangs at him.
"It was a lie, wasn't it?" Agumon demanded as he grabbed DemiDevimon's feet to stop him from escaping.
"You've been lying to us and causing trouble so you could try and destroy us when we least expected it." Veemon glared.
"You lying rat! Tokomon, can you ever forgive me?" TK rushed over to his partner with tears streaming down his face.
"If you promise we'll always be friends." Tokomon smiled.
"Of course." TK smiled as Tokomon jumped into his arms and the two boys giggled.
"Good work. At least that's one problem taken care of." Tai grinned.
Pulling the Crest and Digivice out of her back pocket, Daisuke then smiled as she held it towards the boy.
"Here, TK. These belong to you." Daisuke said.
She then slipped the Crest around his neck and placed the Digivice in his free hand making him smile up at her.
Just then, TK's Crest glowed yellow making everyone stare at it in surprise.
"Check it out. TK's Crest is glowing." Tai pointed out.
"That's not good." DemiDevimon said as he then bit Agumon's hand making the dinosaur yelp as he released the In-Training.
"Who gave you the idea that Crest was yours?! Hand it over you little squirt!" DemiDevimon yelled as he flew at the boy.
Tokomon growled as he then pounced at DemiDevimon making him fly away.
"I'm gonna teach this mon a lesson!" Tokomon stood in front of his human protectively.
"Go after him!" TK encouraged as his Digivice beeped and glowed.
Everyone gasped as they watched Tokomon digivolve.
"Tokomon digivolve too...PATAMON!"
"Way to go, Patamon take him down!" Tai cheered as the Rookie flew at the evil In-Training.
"Go for it!" Daisuke cheered next.
DemiDevimon kicked him down into the tea cup ride and Agumon fired off his Pepper Breath making DemiDevimon fly away.
"Come 'ere you." DemiDevimon jumped into the tea cup after Patamon.
"Patamon!" TK called as Demidevimon flew up with his clawed feet gripping Patamon's wings.
"Try the roller coaster. It's a blast, especially without a seatbelt." Demidevimon said as he dropped Patamon down onto the roller coaster tracks.
Swooping in, Demidevimon then rammed his wing into Patamon's throat sending him back as Demidevimon chased after him and grabbed him again.
"You know, you really should consider renting yourself out as a football." Demidevimon commented.
"Hang on, Patamon, we're on our way!" TK called as he, Daisuke, Tai, Agumon and Veemon ran over to the Ferris wheel where the two Digimon were.
Patamon then dropped onto one of the cars.
"Stay there. Wait for us." TK called.
Patamon then pushed himself up and flew up at Demidevimon, ready to fight and get some payback.
"Patamon, what are ya doing?" TK asked.
"Let him do what he's gotta do. I've got a feeling he's gonna be all right." Tai said.
"Ooh whoo, what's this?" Demidevimon laughed as Patamon sailed towards him.
Patamon then rammed his head into Demidevimon, sending him careening through the air as the Rookie flew after him.
Inhaling, Patamon then blasted his Boom Bubble at Demidevimon making him cry out as he spun faster and fell on the track.
Flying down to the track, Patamon blasted him with his Boom Bubble repeatedly until Demidevimon was sent off the tracks and fell into the lake.
"You da mon!" Agumon and Tai cheered.
"Yeah!" Daisuke and Veemon jumped up cheerfully.
"You were awesome, Patamon." TK complimented as he ran over to his partner who was flying down towards him.
"Now I feel even worse about the way I treated you." TK bowed his head.
"We promised we'd always be friends and the first rule of friendship is forgive and forget. Let's forget it ever happened, okay?" Patamon smiled.
"Okay. I'll pretend I had a bite of that funny mushroom." TK joked.
"Me too." Patamon said as he jumped into TK's arms as the two boys hugged and giggled.
"Aw, that's kind of cool isn't it?" Tai smiled.
"Yeah, I'm glad everything worked out okay." Daisuke grinned.
"This wouldn't have happened if it hadn't of been for you Agumon. By the way, how did you find out about those mushrooms anyway?" Tai asked his partner.
"Uh, a voice in my head." Agumon said.
"You're kidding!" Tai exclaimed as the duo of Miracles looked over at them curiously.
"No." Agumon said thoughtfully.
(Later on...)
The sun was burning an orange-red mixture was the sky was painted yellow and pink as the group were preparing to leave.
"Okay, listen up. Izzy was totally right when he said that all the weird stuff going on here in the Digi-World somehow affects our own world too." Tai informed.
"I don't know how we're gonna do it yet, but it seems to me we've gotta fix things in this world before we can return to our own world. But if we're gonna do that, then we've all gotta work together as a team. Every one of us is important." Tai said.
"Am I important too?" TK asked.
"Of course you are, TK. You're a part of the team. Now let's go find the others." Tai smiled.
To be continued...
