"WereGarurumon"s Diner"

Wandering around the forest they were all in Tai, Daisuke, TK, Agumon, Veemon and Patamon were continuing their search for the rest of their friends, hoping they were safe.
The first people they were searching for were Matt and Gabumon since they were last members of the group who had gone missing.
While walking, Tai's Digivice started beeping which made everyone stop and stare as they looked at the goggle head who pulled the device out to stare at the screen.
"What's that sound?" TK asked.
"My Digivice is going off again." Tai said.
"Then our friends are nearby. It did the same thing when we found TK." Agumon spoke up.
"Maybe we'll find my brother." TK smiled.
"And maybe some food." Tai said as the group smiled.
"I wouldn't mind having a cheese burger right now." Veemon said.
"Come on, guys, let's go find them." Daisuke told them.
Following the signal on the Digivice, the group were led to a restaurant which confused them, but thought that perhaps one of their friends was inside eating.
Staring up at the diner, Daisuke and Veemon couldn't help but feel that the place seemed very familiar to them, but couldn't remember at the time.
When they walked up the steps and pushed the doors open, they were a bit surprised to find Gomamon washing the floor with a rag while Gabumon was carrying a bowl of soup.
"Gomamon." Tai called.
"Gabumon." TK said.
The two Rookies stopped what they were doing and looked over at the group happily.
"TK." Gomamon greeted.
"And Tai and Daisuke." Gabumon exclaimed.
"Hey, you guys." Daisuke grinned at the two Digimon.
"If you're here, then my brother must be here too." TK said as he ran over to Gabumon.
"And Joe's here too, right, pal?" Tai asked Gomamon.
"Yeah, he's here, but..." Gomamon trailed off.
The group then noticed how sad Gomamon and Gabumon got as they stared down at the floor.
"Hey, what's going on?" Veemon asked.
"Joe can tell you about it." Gomamon said.
"Joe?" Tai asked.
"Where is he? Show us." Daisuke insisted.
Gomamon and Gabumon then led their friends into the kitchen where they found Joe who smiled at the sight of the group and their missing team mates who had finally been found.
"Tai, Daisuke, I'm so glad to see you guys, but don't break anything." Joe requested.
"Sure, but what are you doing here?" Tai asked him.
"Hey Joe, it's great to see you, but where's Matt?" TK asked.
At the mention of the older blonde, Joe's expression fell as his eyes dtarted to the door that was wide open and led outside.
"Oh, um, Matt's around back." Joe informed.
"Matt!" TK called as he ran out the door.
Tai and Daisuke watched the boy go before they then turned their attention to the upset older male and were confused by what could have happened.
"So, what are ya doing here?" Tai asked.
"It's a long story." Joe sighed.
Suddenly, Veemon exclaimed loudly making everyone jump in surprise as they turned to stare down at the blue dragon who looked stunned.
"Geez, what happened?" Tai gasped.
"I just figured out why this place looked so familiar to me! This is Digitamamon's diner!" Veemon exclaimed.
"What? No way! That greedy, money grubber owns this place?" Daisuke gasped in surprise.
Thinking back to the first time her team had arrived at the diner, Digitmamon had accused the humans of trying to stiff him all because they didn't have Digital World money to pay for their meals.
Yolei had become very frustrated with how rude Digitamamon had acted towards them even though she did try to pay him and tried to explain that they weren't aware of the fact that they couldn't pay with yen.
"Greedy money grubber?" Tai questioned.
"Digitamamon is pretty rude and doesn't like it when people try to pay for his food without digi dollars." Veemon explained.
Groaning in disbelief at this, Joe hung his head and Gomamon frowned sadly which made everyone turn to look at the duo.
"We didn't know that we couldn't pay with the money we had. The only way we could pay him off for our meal was to work off our bill. When Matt found us, he decided to help work to pay it off." Joe explained.
"So, you guys have been here this entire time working? You must have paid off your bill by now." Tai insisted.
"That's right. You should be able to leave now." Agumon agreed.
"Doesn't matter if Digitamamon says they haaven't. We have way more important things to do than pay off some bill. Come on, let's ditch before that over grown hard boiled egg shows up." Daisuke said as she and Veemon walked out the back door.
Making their way out into the back, they found Matt sitting on the ground while an excited TK hovering around him.
Matt was smiling at his younger brother, relieved to see him safe and sound in front of him.
"So, where's Tai and Daisuke?" Matt asked.
"Hey Matt!" Tai greeted as he lifted a hand making the blond look over at him and the rest of the group.
"Been a while." Daisuke grinned.
"All right, there you are." Matt exclaimed.
"Seems like something weird is going on here." Tai said.
"Yeah, you can say that we got ourselves into some hot water." Matt joked.
"Oh, a cooking joke?" Tai mused.
"I'm really sorry I didn't come back and keep my promise to get you, TK." Matt aplogized to his brother.
"That's all right. I'm sure you would have if you could have, Matt." TK smiled.
"Anyhow, you're here and that's what counts." Matt gave a small relieved smile.
"No, what counts is if we get out of this weirdo place and quick." Tai said as Joe stepped out of the kitchen.
"What? Run away?" Gabumon gasped.
"Of course, run away. I don't see any guards around here." Tai said.
"And we need to find everyone else. Who knows what kinda trouble they're gotten themselves into while we've been separated." Daisuke frowned.
Spotting Joe standing behind the others, Matt sent the blue haired boy a glare and turned his head away from him.
"I don't want to." Matt stated surprising everyone.
"But why not?" TK asked in confusion.
"I'll leave when I'm ready. Anyway, I am not going anywhere with Joe." Matt claimed.
Joe gasped at that, stunned and also hurt from the hostility.
"He doesn't want to work together. He only cares about himself." Matt said.
Joe stared at him in shock that the boy woud say such hurtful things about him while the others were stunned.
"How dare you say that, Matt! We're all friends here!" Tai yelled at him.
"Right, what friends?! Oh, you mean this guy who deliberately wrecks everything to keep me here cooking rice until I'm an old geezer?" Matt turned away with a huff.
"Hey, back off!" Tai called.
"And what about you, big shot? The one who got us all seperated?" Matt then turned his anger on Tai.
"Matt, stop yelling! Aren't you glad-"
"Be quiet, TK!" Matt yelled at his brother, stunning the little boy.
"Hey, don't yell at TK!" Daisuke snapped.
It felt strange for her to say that.
Usually, in the future, it would be Matt snapping at Daisuke to leave TK alone.
"Anyway, we can't stay here any long because it's not safe. Digitamamon is one of the bad guys." Daisuke said.
This information stunned everyone as they turned to look at the mahogany haired girl.
"What are you talking about?" Gabumon questioned.
"Digitamamon works for an evil Digimon named Myotismon." Veemon explained.
"Believe me, guys, Myotismon is even worst than Devimon and Etemon were. Staying here is putting us all in danger. We need to get out of here now." Daisuke insisted.
Suddenly, a large egg Digimon with green dinosaur legs sticking out of it and had two yellow eyes glowing through the crack on the shell walked over.
"Well, well, well. You weren't planning on running away now were you? Don't make me very angry!" He chuckled darkly.
"Yes, that would be a very bad idea." A familiar voice spoke up from above.
Turning, the group found DemiDevimon was sitting in the tree above with a nasty smirk on his face.
"Great. A bad situation just got worst." Veemon sighed in annoyance.
"Hey, isn't that..." Joe trailed off.
"Him again!" TK gasped as Patamon flew out of the restaurant.
"Demidevimon!" Patamon cried.
"It's the evil digimon we met before." Agumon said.
"You lied!" Matt yelled up at DemiDevimon.
"You lied to me to get me to come here. And you're the one that's wrecking everything." Joe realized as he glared at the evil In-Training.
"So we're gonna teach you a good lesson." Tai clenched his fists.
Agumon shot out his Pepper Breath as Patamon did the same with his Boom Bubble, both attacks sailing at DemiDevimon who quickly flew away from them from inches away from hitting him.
"Hey, watch it! That's hot!" Demidevimon yelled.
Just then, a tree branch was swung at him making him cry out as he tried to dodge it.
"Hold still you ugly bat!" Daisuke growled as she whacked him with the branch.
"Geez, what did I ever do to you?" DemiDevimon demanded as he started to fly away.
"You ticked me off, that's what!" Daisuke yelled as she managed to hit him one last time.
Whining in pain, DemiDevimon took off flying as fast as his small wings would allow.
"After him, guys!" Tai called as he, Agumon and Patamon ran after him.
"How dishonest, trying to leave without paying me." Digitamamon scolded.
"You're the thief! We've worked here long enough to pay for a trip to Hawaii!" Matt yelled at him.
"Hawaii's not on the schedual. But if you insist, I'll send you to the moon!" Digitamamon growled as he grew in size and then charged at Matt who gasped and stepped out of the way from the attack.
"If you want to leave, you'll have to beat me first!" Digitamamon said.
"You know what? That sounds good to me." Veemon cracked his knuckles.
Gabumon glared as he then stood beside Veemon, both ready to fight.
"Time to digivolve, guys!" Daisuke called.
"Gabumon digivolve too...GARURUMON!"
"Veemon digivolve too...EXVEEMON!"
Garurumon then charged at Digitamamon with his Blue Blaster, but the attack didn't harm the other Champion thanks to his hard shell.
"His shell! His shell is closed, so the blast has no effect." Gomamon reported.
"Very perceptive of you." Digitamamon said as he then tackled Garurumon to the ground.
"Garurumon!" Matt called as he ran over.
ExVeemon then grabbed Digitamamon from behind and threw him into a tree, making him cry out in surprise.
"I don't care hard hard your shell is. I'm gonna crack you open." ExVeemon growled.
"Matt!" TK cried out.
Turning to look in the direction of the boy, everyone gasped when they found TK had been captured by a Vegiemon who was grinning in a wicked way.
"You've got to be freaking kidding me." Daisuke glared.
Once again, she was facing a Digimon from her past that had gotten on her nerves.
She wasn't sure if this Vegiemon was one of the ones who had worked for RedVegiemon, but she still wasn't happy to see it.
"Call off your beast!" Vegiemon laughed.
"Matt, help me!" TK cried.
"How nice. Your little brother decided to hang around." Digitamamon laughed as he then tackled both Garurumon and ExVeemon onto the ground.
"Matt! Somebody! Get me down!" TK yelled.
"Hang on, TK!" Daisuke called as she rushed over with the tree branch she had used before.
Swinging the branch at Vegiemon, she hit him in the face making him growl and the slapped the branch out of her hands before he wrapped his vines around her waist, lifting her into the air.
"Daisuke!" ExVeemon gasped.
As he tried to race off to help him human, Digitamamon rammed into his stomach and knocked him onto the ground.
"Put me down!" Daisuke yelled as she tried to unwrap the vine around her.
"That's going too far. I've had it." Joe said.
"Gomamon digivolve too...IKKAKUMON!"
Ikkakumon then jabbed Vegiemon with his horn, making the plant yelp in pain.
"Ow! Hey, back off furball or theese two are lunch meat, got it?" Vegiemon warned as he waved TK and Daisuke around.
"Stop that!" Matt yelled.
Joe was crawling across the roof, making his way over to the pipe that Vegiemon was holding onto.
Jumping down, Joe landed on Vegiemon and the two crashed into the patato sacks below while Daisuke landing on the ground with TK falling into her lap.
"I really hate vegetables." Daisuke groaned as she sat up with her arms around TK.
Looking over, everyone gasped as they found Vegiemon had now wrapped Joe up in his vines and held him above his head, squeezing the boy tightly.
"Joe! He's caught." TK gasped.
Matt then ran over and knelt down on the ground beside Daisuke and TK, checking on them to make sure they weren't hurt.
"Joe!" Matt called as he looked over at the blue haired male.
"Matt, you were right. You always said that we would all have to work together to get out of this mess. Now it looks like my turn." Joe groaned as he was squeezed tighter.
"Matt, we gotta help him!" TK said.
"Go on, Ikkakumon, blast them now!" Joe called as Ikkakumon swung his horn at Digitamamon who jumped away.
"Tell your friend you have a very short temp with Vegiemon." the plant Digimon growled as he squeezed the boy tighter.
"Do it, Joe!" Matt called.
"No. You've gotta attack while I keep him busy. Attack. I'm fine." Joe assured as he grew pale.
"No! We're not letting you risk your life, Joe." Daisuke rejected his plan.
"After I accused him and yelled at him...he still risked himself for TK." Matt clenched his fist as he stared at the ground with guilt sparkling in his azure eyes.
"Joe... NO!" Matt yelled as his Crest then glowed blue.
Garurumon, ExVeemon and Ikkakumon rounded on Digitamamon, growling at him as the cocky egg stood ready for the attack.
"You three don't know when to quit. I'll destroy you all with one shot!" Digitamamon glared.
Digitamamon then used his Nightmare Syndrom and the three Champions were caught in the attack, being blasted back.
"No, this is bad. They're too strong." TK said.
"We can't give up yet. There has to be something we can do." Daisuke insisted.
"You're right. We can't just give up. We've gotta beat them!" Matt said.
Thinking about his friends, he then realized that he needed them to defeat their enemies.
"Together we're strong. Garurumon!" Matt called and the wolf pushed himself up.
Matt's Digivice then turned blue as Garurumon then transformed.
Feeling the power of the Crest of Friendship being activated, Daisuke felt her own Crest of Miracles burning against her chest as it reacted.
"Garurumon digivolve too...WEREGARURUMON!"
The wolf now stood on his hind legs as he gained a human like body and he wore pants while he had leather straps wrapped around his arms.
"WereGarurumon, the Ultimate form of Gabumon. He's a really fierce warrior with claws, strong kicks and jumps. He's extreme, but egghead and his little bad buddy leave him no choice. Coming up, one scrambled egg." Matt held his Digivice which was now dark blue.
"You and your little doggy don't frighten me." Digitamamon said.
Digitamamon then used Nightmare Symdrom on WereGarurumon, but the wolf stopped the attack as he held out his hands.
"Impossible!" Digitamamon exclaimed.
"That was just the beginning you little poacher." Matt said.
WereGarurumon then used Metal Claw and pushed the Nightmare Syndrom back at Digitamamon, sending him flying back.
"They beat Digitamamon!" Vegiemon gasped.
Tai, Agumon and Patamon then returned after DemiDevimon flew off when he saw Digitamamon being defeated.
"Vegiemon, you better let go of him!" Matt yelled.
"Unless you wanna be salade." WereGarurumon threatened.
The frightened Vegiemon then set Joe down before he then took off running and WereGarurumon reverted back to his In-Training form.
"Yay!" TK cheered as he ran over to his brother and hugged him.
"Wow, that was so cool, Matt. You're the awesomest big brother." TK praised.
"I gotta hand it to you, Joe, that was really brave." Tai said.
"You did great out there." Daisuke smiled.
"All I did was get grabbed." Joe blushed.
"By a giant vegetable." Gomamon added
"A cranky one." Tsunomon joked.
This made everyone laugh, finding amusement in the situation now that everyone was safe.
"Uh, Joe..." Matt said nervous as he stepped over with a blush.
"I'm really proud how you handled the situation." Matt said.
"At my old school, they voted me most likely to chicken out. I guess we should them." Joe joked.
"I also need to apologize." Matt said making Joe look at him.
"Oh? Why, Matt?" He asked as the blond looked very embarrassed and unsure of himself.
He wasn't used to expressing himself or apologizing for acting in such a disrespectful way.
"Because I-I never should have doubted you, Joe." Matt smiled shyly as Joe chuckled.
(A few minutes later...)
Tai then explained what had happened to him, Daisuke and their Digimon after they had defeated Etemon.
He left out the part where he discovered the duo of Miracles being from the future since he knew that the girl would beat his head in if he told everyone without her permission.
"So, everything is linked. If we don't fix things here, then our world will be in trouble too." Matt said.
"That's basically it in a nutshell." Daisuke said as she held Veemon in her arms.
Beeping was then heard making Tai and Matt pull out their Digivices to see what was causing them to react that way.
"It's going off again." TK pointed out.
"It seems like everytime this happens, we find one of our friends." Tai stated.
"So there must be someone around here." Joe said as he stared at Tai's Digivice.
"But which direction?" TK asked.
"Well, mine's pointing out there." Tai pointed out to the right.
"Mine says they're off this way." Matt pointed to the left.
The group had stumbled upon a rocky area that was filled with mountains and they were standing on a path that was divided by a large boulder.
"I guess if we wanna find them, we're just gonna have to split up again." Tai said.
"Yeah, I think you're right. TK, you hang with me." Matt said to his brother.
"Cool. Joe and Daisuke will come with me. Just so nobody gets lost, let's meet at the foot of that mountain, okay?" Tai instructed.
"Sounds like a plan." Matt said.
"Guess we better get going." Daisuke sighed.
"Matt, do you really think we'll meet again?" TK asked.
"Yeah, sure we will. I guarentee it." Matt smiled.
"Farewell! Bye-bye! Alvedersay!" Tai called to the two brothers as they walked off down their path.
"Wait, don't go yet. I have to tie my shoe." Joe said.
"Oh, you're ruinning our big dramatic exit." Tai pouted and the group all laughed.
