AN: To 'Guest' (sorry there's no other name there)- Ollie started out as Thomas Oliver Hart and had his name changed to Thomas Olliver after Kim and Tommy got back together- but the nickname Ollie was already there and fully stuck. Hope that explains it!

"Hey man, we heard that things went a little wrong and were going to swing by to talk…science," Smitty's voice played on his voicemail and he glanced back at the time from the voicemail and then looked up at the clock. He had no idea who 'we' might be in this context, but he was desperate for some friends who could get in a lab and work on this problem. He knew it was late, but Kimberly was asleep and if he was right, these friends could help in ways that his ranger friends couldn't. Tommy was well connected in many ways and much of that was due to his network of friends around the globe. He rarely called on them, but now was the time to do it if there ever was a time.

"Smitty?" Tommy said as he heard someone pick up and he waited. He really hoped that they were still up to coming out to the hospital.

"Try again. You got the prettier one, Tommy," Rina Hartley said with a laugh as he smiled. Thank goodness for Smitty's wife. She was a much needed bit of levity right now. "But if you're calling- that means…what happened? Terrence didn't mention..."

"Can you grab Ryan and Smitty and head to Sacred Heart? I can't leave right now, but I really…I could use your help," Tommy admitted and he heard the sigh on the other end. "Rina…I hate to even ask…"

"I know you wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. We'll be there in 20," Rina responded as she hung up and he leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. Kim knew these friends, but she didn't know about some of the things that they all had in common. She didn't know some of his past and he hoped that he could keep it that way.

"Sorry we took longer than I said- someone- insisted that we stop and grab you some food," Rina nodded over her shoulder as Ryan held up a couple of boxes of pizza and Tommy shook his head. He gave Rina a hug before he found himself bear hugged by two of his dearest college friends. He needed this.

"She's not remembering anything. She doesn't remember the last eighteen, or so, years. She's in a world where I hate her because she just tore my heart out to keep Ollie...to keep our son safe from what my life could do to him," Tommy choked out as they pulled away from him and he felt them staring at him. They all had enough experience in various sciences to understand where he was going with this and why he had called them. "This surgery, alone, should not have done that and we all know it. I need help figuring out what could possibly…"

"Fuck," Smitty muttered as they all settled in the various chairs and Rina placed a box of pizza in Tommy's lap. "We've been working on what she did to Ollie- that can't be transformed like this though. Unless there's someone much more advanced working on this."

"I know. I broke down the initial compounds before I sent that out to our group for further looks. They've pulled bloodwork from her and there's a few anomalies, but hell if I know what is from surgery and pain meds and what…" Tommy trailed off as Rina walked over and looked at the medicines Kim was being given. Rina had started out in biomedical engineering and had then moved on to an MD/PhD program in Biomedical Science. She was the person he went to when he had problems with his research that were medically related and out of the four of them, was the most likely to be able to provide some insight. "Rina?"

"If you'll release her and Ollie's medical records to me, I can give it a better look and see what I can pull out. This could just be some delayed onset…" Rina trailed off as Billy walked into the room, pausing in the doorway and she waved at him. "You think this is a delayed onset issue?"

"I've never seen it present this way before, but there's always a first time for everything. And if anyone is going to have a first time for something like this- it would be her," Billy muttered as he let out a sigh. "I can get Tommy some release forms, if you need that."

"Yeah, we need it," Tommy grumbled before he shoveled in a piece of pizza and waited for Billy to leave. He hid very little from his ranger friends, but there were some things that Rina, Ryan, and Smitty knew that the rangers didn't. As the door closed behind Billy, he pegged Ryan with a stare. "All of her accesses were revoked upon her presumed death, correct?"

"About that…" Smitty trailed off as Tommy let out a groan. He knew exactly what was coming next and he knew that multiple people were going to be fired in their organization to make sure this never happened again. "It wasn't something that Anton was tracking and the IT specialist that replaced Hayley, well- they weren't Hayley's level of skilled. I double checked and her profile was active off and on over the years, specifically looking at a lot of the research that you, Rina, and Anton have done. It's not her specialty, but if she worked with anyone that has experience- they could definitely help her refine it and change it."

"I don't need to remind the three of you about my terms to stay on as the physical security specialist," Tommy said as they all nodded. He rarely threatened anything with the other Curators, but any time he did they knew that he would follow through on it. "Do I need to remind Anton?"

"No, he removed the guy when he found out that her access was not revoked and that she was able to just waltz through the data for the last ten years. I'm doing the forensic analysis on what she touched and have taken over the network access and security until we identify someone more skilled," Smitty stated and Tommy let out a sigh. "We're throwing everything we can at this, but it's going to take us time, Tommy."

"I know and I'm too close to this to help. She's…they…I always knew my family would be targeted, but I never thought it would be like this. I always thought it would be something I could fight," Tommy admitted as Kim squirmed in the bed and they looked over at her. "Shit, she doesn't even know any of you."

"We can…" Ryan trailed off as Tommy shook his head. "You want us to stay?"

"It's nice to have folks with a different perspective here for a bit. My other friends are great for security and just about anything else we need, but this…Billy can't help, Tanya is out of her depth. So, yeah…talk science and theories and brainstorm…I need some distraction."
