"Hi Cameron," Dr. Schutlely said as he sat down across from him on a park bench. He had partnered with this facility for years and when Tommy had contacted him it was the only place that he could think to send Cameron. While he knew the young man didn't want to be here, he wasn't actively fighting the process either. That was at least a step in the right direction. "They say you're settling in rather nicely."

"Why wouldn't they just let me go?" Cameron asked as he locked eyes with Dr. Schutlely and Erick let out a long sigh. He had seen this happen more times than he wanted to admit and he absolutely hated it. Cameron would have to decide to save himself- his friends were just giving him a chance to do that. "Did they tell you what happened?"

"The broad strokes. And they've all been talking about it in their sessions, but each person grieves differently. You have more that you lost than they did," Erick stated as Cameron glared at him. He could not believe that his friends had revealed parts about his life to this man. "I'm here to listen, but that means you've got to be willing to talk, really talk."

"And if I don't want to?" Cameron asked as Erick shrugged as he gazed across the park. "You won't make me?"

"This is on your time. Your treatment here can go as fast or as slow as you want it to. Your...insurance plan...is rather untraditional in what it will cover," Erick stated as Cameron let out a bark of a laugh and just shook his head. His 'insurance plan' was called Kimberly and Tommy Oliver and he knew it. He also felt a pang of gratitude as he realized that without them, proper treatment would not have been possible. "I didn't ask to be on the hook for this either, but I doubt they're going to be comfortable with anyone else finding out about the details of what goes on in a Power Rangers life. Especially since you're not known by the public."

"She died protecting their children. Part of the Command Center collapsed on her while I was busy fighting Kiros. The twins didn't have a scratch and she…" Cameron trailed off as he locked eyes with Erick. "Kiros isn't gone. And I am left without the woman I love. You can't fix any of that."

"I don't want to fix it. I do want to help you process it. I want to help you decide on steps that will protect your well being moving forward and if that is leaving the Power Rangers, Kimberly and Tommy have already said they will fully support it," Erick stated as Cameron stilled and stared at him in shock. They would let him go? He hadn't even thought that that might be on the board. "Tommy never had an option to walk away from being a Power Ranger and he's seen…he's seen a lot of horrible things happen as well. They both have made it exceedingly clear that there are no strings attached to you getting better and they wanted to make sure that you knew that."

"And if I still want to fight? If I want to be a part of this?" Cameron challenged as he felt the anger rising in him.

"You will be assessed for suitability and unless there is some sort of red flag, you'll be able to continue once you have completed treatment," Erick said as Cameron nodded and he just shook his head. "It is likely you will need to continue treatment after you leave here, especially if you continue fighting."

"Dr. O doesn't do that," Cameron shot back as Erick quirked his head to the side and just shook his head. "Dr. O…goes to therapy?"

"Every week. If things are particularly bad, sometimes I'll clear my calendar and he'll be there for the rest of the day. He started after he had a PTSD episode in the subway, he was terrified that he would wake up and hurt his wife and children some day," Erick stated as Cameron gaped at him. "Normally- you wouldn't get this kind of information, but Tommy thought you might need to know that he's been in these trenches too."

"He didn't lose Kimberly. He didn't lose the woman…" Cameron trailed off as Erick levelly met his gaze and Cameron looked away. "Don't tell me that he lost more."

"What he lost was different. Not more or less- different," Erick said as he let out a sigh. "This isn't about measuring who has survived more pain, it is about helping you with your pain. If hearing what Tommy and Kimberly have been through is helpful- we can talk about it, but if you feel like it is invalidating what you are going through- we never have to talk about it again."

"How do I go on without exacting revenge?" Cameron asked and Erick sat in silence. Tommy had always been able to kill what had hurt those that he loved and Cameron was never going to get the same chance.

"Cam!" Julia yelled as she sprinted across the park and launched herself at him. He had asked if he could see them earlier this week and had been surprised when Dr. Schutlely quickly agreed to it. "It's so good to see you."

"Hey Jules," Cameron whispered as he clung to her and she clung to him as well. "It's good to see you too. How's it going?"

"The combatives class is much more boring without you," Julia said with a smile as she pulled away and Patrick joined them. "Axe is teaching today and Brandon has exams, but they're going to come up later this week."

"So you get the better looking rangers today," Patrick joked as he gave Cameron a hug and then they all settled around a table.

"How are you?" Julia asked as she grabbed one of his hands and he quickly looked away from her. While the boys were going to joke with him, he knew that Julia was going to lean into every bit of pain he might be having and be here with him for it. "We don't have to…"

"I want to, at least some of it," Cameron said as he pulled his hands away and hastily wiped his eyes. "How long did you know we were together?"

"I found out when everyone else did…when Kiros first appeared," Julia whispered as she let out a sigh. "She always respected where you were."

"I wish…I wish I had been more bold. That I had been more…" Cameron struggled as he glanced over at Patrick. "She deserved someone that was willing to claim her for the whole world to see."

"Cam…she knew…she knew how much you cared," Julia said as Cameron shook his head violently. "Cam, don't."

"I never told her," Cameron admitted and he felt the shock ripple through her. Tommy had been next to him when he realized what had happened, but none of the other rangers had been nearby. "I kept thinking that I should and then…a fight would happen or she'd fall asleep or I'd plan where to say it and the plans would fall through. She died not knowing, Jules."

Julia let the tears flow as she reached over and pulled him into a tight hug. Cameron's sobs racked his body as she held him tight, not knowing what to say, but knowing that he needed them to hear this. That he had carried the weight of this regret for far too long.

"Oh Cam," Julia whispered as she looked over at Patrick and he barely shook his head. He knew that this was out of his depth on what he could handle. "You've let that eat at you all this time?"

"It didn't feel right to tell any of you. Everyone just assumed that we…that I…how was I supposed to tell anyone?" Cameron asked as he sat up and glanced over at Patrick who was equally grim faced. "And now- the both of you…"

"I don't think any less of you because you hadn't told her," Patrick stated as he leaned in and grabbed Cameron by his shoulders. "Everyone knows what regret feels like, Cam. This is a lot of regret to carry around with you and I'm glad you finally told someone."

"I don't think I can come back, not the way that I was," Cameron said as Patrick nodded and he glanced over at Julia. "Neither of you are mad?"

"I'd rather have a friend that is alive and truly living, than a Power Ranger teammate that wants to be dead," Julia stated as Cameron let out another harsh breath as she rubbed both of his arms. "We will take you in our lives in whatever way makes your life best. And if the others say something else- you can send them to me."
