The Daughter of Damon Salvatore

Chapter Nineteen

After school, Jessica was greeted by Damon.

He looked pissed off.

"How was your day?" Jessica asked.

"Undecided. John pissed me off to no end today and he made the day tedious. However, Pearl stopped by earlier and handed me the Gilbert invention" Damon stated.

"Did you give it to John?" Jessica asked.

"Hell no!" Damon exclaimed.

"I'm keeping hold of this beauty" he said as he took it out of his jacket pocket.

He handed it to Jessica to look at as he started driving towards their home.

Jessica studied it and frowned at it.

"What?" Damon asked.

"It's weird, I can't decide the feeling I am getting from it" she stated.

"What do you mean?" Damon asked.

"It's like I should be thrilled that it exists but, at the same time, I want to destroy it because it feels like it could be destructive. I've never experienced this before with my magic…it's like my magic is conflicted over it" Jessica tried to explain.

Damon stared at Jessica in confusion.

"Sorry I can't be of any more help. If I had some of the Bennett Grimoires, I could dig a little more for you. I'm going to see Bonnie tomorrow after the Miss Mystic competition, I could have a look for you" Jessica said.

"That would be useful but, don't stress about it. This is not for you to worry about" Damon stated.

Jessica nodded. She was going to research anyway.

.

.

.

As Damon drove down the driveway, he and Jessica noticed a large truck parked in front of the house.

Damon pulled up and turned the engine off and the two got out of the car, eyeing the truck curiously.

"Ah! I was just about to give up!" the driver declared as he hopped out of the truck.

"Er…can I help you?" Damon asked the man.

"Sure, I have a delivery for a Miss Beesley" the driver said.

"I think you have the wrong address buddy" Damon replied.

"Actually, I'm Miss Beesley" Jessica spoke up from behind Damon.

Damon looked momentarily shocked. He didn't even think about other names that Jessica might have used. It was Stefan who had sorted out all the identity papers in the beginning, Damon had never known anything about it.

The delivery driver stared at the two.

"Well, is it yours or not? I have other deliveries you know" he said gruffly.

"It is me. First name Jessica, right?" Jessica asked.

The delivery driver nodded.

"Delivery from the UK?" Jessica questioned.

Again, the driver nodded.

"I only believe you because of that accent" the delivery driver remarked.

Jessica nodded.

The delivery man approached Jessica.

"Have you got some ID to prove your name?" he asked.

Jessica blanked; she didn't have any ID in her old name anymore.

"You don't need to see her ID" Damon compelled the delivery driver.

"Ok, sign here Miss" the driver instructed as he pointed to the line for her to sign.

She made sure to sign it in her 'Beesley' name and the delivery driver unloaded her possessions from the back of the truck.

Soon, Damon and Jessica were stood staring at a large pile of stuff on the front porch.

The delivery driver declared that they now had everything and that he had one more thing to give her.

He ran to the passenger side of the truck and reached onto the passenger seat and carefully pulled a smaller box out.

"Sorry kid, I was told to look after this separately from the cargo and to hand it to you personally" the driver explained.

Jessica accepted the box and she and Damon shook hands with the delivery driver and thanked him as he got back into his truck and drove us.

"I think your stuff has arrived" Damon stated jokingly as he watched the truck disappear down the driveway.

Upon hearing silence in response, he looked at the now empty space beside him where Jessica was just moments ago.

His eyes sought for her and quickly found her sat on the wall of the porch. She looked pale.

"Jessica, what's wrong?" Damon asked as he quickly approached her.

He could see that she had opened the small box that she had been handed but, he could not see the contents from this angle.

Jessica gulped and gently closed the box once more.

"Are you ok? What's in the box?" Damon asked.

"My mum" Jessica whispered as she looked back up at him.

Damon froze, he had not been expecting that response.

"Er…" was Damon's only response.

"It's her ashes" Jessica stated.

Both of them stared at the box not really knowing what to say.

"Come on, let me help you get all this stuff up to your room. It's going to get dark soon" Damon stated as the two started to bring Jessica's stuff indoors.

.

.

.

Thanks to Damon's speed and strength, it only took an hour to get all of Jessica's belongings into the house and up to her room.

Damon and Jessica found themselves sat on Jessica's bed staring at the small box Jessica had carefully placed on her vanity.

"I wasn't expecting to ever receive her ashes…" Jessica admitted.

Damon frowned.

"Why not?" he asked.

"I couldn't afford it. They told me she would be burned and that was it, and that I would need to pay £1200 in order to get her ashes" Jessica informed him.

"Then who…?" Damon's questioned, open-ended.

"I have no idea. But whoever has done this, knows who my mother was and where to find me" Jessica replied.

Damon looked mildly concerned and then slowly let out a breath.

"My superhero hairdo baby brother" Damon stated confidently.

Jessica thought for a moment and then nodded. Of course her Uncle Stefan would do something like this for her.

The two sat in a moment of silence.

"I don't really know what to do with her" Jessica stated.

"Don't worry about that now, keep her safe. We will figure something out together" Damon comforted.

"You're right, I need to sort out the rest of this crap" Jessica stated.

Damon did not reprimand her for her language, but he did grab her hand and rub small reassuring circles on the back of it with his thumb.

"Where do we start?" Damon asked.

"Grab a box, any box" Jessica suggested as she grabbed the one closest to her.

Damon was relieved to see more clothes, shoes, and books in the majority of the boxes, it gave the teens room a bit more personality.

As Jessica hung up her clothes and put her shoes away, Damon reached for the next box. More books.

He picked the one on top and pulled it out and opened it.

His breath caught in his throat.

"What's got you distracted?" Jessica grinned as she noticed Damon had stopped sorting.

"I think I found your baby pictures" Damon whispered as he stared in wonder at the pages.

Pages upon pages of many photo albums showed a very beautiful baby girl slowly growing up before his eyes.

"Oh yeah, I forgot those existed" Jessica stated.

She sat with Damon as they went through the album, and she explained all the photos to him.

Listening to her, Damon realised the true extent of just how much he had missed since she had been born. Again, he wished he could go back in time and argue with himself to go with Jo and protect her to the ends of the earth. His family would've wanted for nothing but, looking at the strong young woman his daughter had become without him, he was just as proud. Whilst he would've rather her grown up being treated like a princess, he realised that the life she had lived so far had taught her to become independent, resourceful, streetwise, and understanding of the value of money. She recognised and appreciated struggle, and the need for hard work to get you further in life. Even if she had walked through the fires of hell to get there.

There were pictures of her and Jo, and Damon could see that Jo did love her daughter, despite the image he had formed of the woman based on his conversations with Jessica so far.

"Who's this? Jo's boyfriend?" Damon asked.

Jessica looked at the photo.

"I'd forgotten about him. Yeah, mum was smitten with this guy, probably the one and only guy I remember her ever having close to her. Eddie, I think his name was. Could've been Elliot actually" she chuckled at the memories as she tried to remember him.

"He was in the picture a bit, but it didn't last long, and he disappeared from our lives shortly after that picture was taken. Mum tried to keep all her relationships at a distance to keep us both safe, that meant she sacrificed any kind of love life for me" Jessica explained.

Damon nodded, a mother sacrificing everything for her child was the sign of a strong woman in his eyes.

"It was after this that mum really delved into the research. I was probably about nine at the time. I think that she was secretly heartbroken and so she redirected her focus to her research as a distraction from it all" Jessica explained.

Damon nodded and flipped the page over.

Jessica gasped in shock and snatched the album from Damon's hands.

"Hey!" Damon warned at her snatching.

Jessica ignored him and pulled the plastic away from the page and pulled out one of the photos. She closed the photo album and focused on the photograph in her hand.

Damon noticing her change of mood eyed her warily.

"Who are they?" he asked frowning.

"It was taken at a school sports day. There's me, that girl there was my best friend Holly, the boy next to her is her brother…Robbie" Jessica whispered.

Damon stared at the young boy in the picture who would, a few years later, hurt his daughter in one of the most despicable ways imaginable. He committed the face of the boy to memory and promised to hunt the fucker down and tear his limbs off.

"Are you ok?" Damon asked Jessica hesitantly.

Jessica glared at the picture for a moment more before holding it up, one corner pinched between her thumb and forefinger.

Damon stared at Jessica as she closed her eyes.

A moment later, the photo burst into flames and quickly turned into a pile of charred ash in his daughter's hand.

The two stared at the ashes in Jessica's hand. Jessica quickly rubbed her hands together and flecks of ashes scattered to the floor.

"I am now" she replied.

Damon stared at her.

"We've still got loads to go through. There are loads of photo albums in these boxes. You're welcome to take them and look through them when you get a chance. As long as I get them back, I don't mind" Jessica said.

Damon smiled at the teen and nodded. The two continued riffling through the boxes.

"Trophies?" Damon said in confusion a few minutes later as he pulled out five cheaply made awards.

Upon closer inspection he saw that the trophies had Jessica's name on them. After everything he had heard about Jessica's experiences at school, how on earth did she ever get trophies?

Jessica stared for a moment.

"Wow! I didn't know mum had kept these. Despite what my record says, I was once a promising student. I had decent grades, I was smart, and I was the star athlete at the school" Jessica explained.

Damon looked at the trophies again noted that the trophies were mainly for running competitions.

"You were a runner?" Damon asked.

"I'm still a runner however, the reward is no longer a trophy" Jessica stated.

Damon stared at her, not following her line of thought.

"The reward is my sanity" Jessica stated seriously.

Damon paused as he thought about her response. It was true that the teen had a tendency to run when things started getting ugly. Unfortunately, previous experiences had taught her to do just that. Damon made a mental note to ensure to teach her how to stand and face difficult circumstances head on rather than running at the first opportunity.

"You can get rid of them if you want. I don't want them. They are the awards of a girl who no longer exists, a girl who crashed, burned, and died a long time ago" Jessica said as she indicated to the trophies.

Damon looked at her sadly and nodded as he reluctantly placed them in the pile for dumping.

"Why do you seem surprised by some of the stuff that's in these boxes?" Damon asked a short time later.

"Mum packed most of these boxes herself. She didn't want me to have to worry about sorting through all of her stuff when she died, so she sorted it all and boxed it all up before she got too sick. I just packed up the couple of boxes that have my clothes and bits in it. Anything else, I have no idea what's in the other boxes" Jessica explained.

Damon nodded.

Jessica opened another of her mother's boxes and stared at the contents in wonder.

"What have you found now?" Damon questioned, noticing her expression.

Jessica pulled a few papers that were on top of the box.

A few words on the first page caught her eye.

"'Heretic Origins and Vampirism'" Jessica read aloud.

Damon, having heard her, approached her, and looked at the piece of paper and then looked at the contents of the rest of the top pile of papers.

"I think Jo kept all her research" Damon stated.

Jessica nodded and opened the next two boxes; both were also full of papers.

Jessica pushed all three boxes aside. She would need to go through those boxes slowly in her own time.

.

.

.

After the rest of the boxes had been cleared away, Damon encouraged Jessica to go to the kitchen and eat something for dinner. Having worked up an appetite, Jessica agreed. Damon watched as Jessica prepared some sausages and mashed potato for herself.

She joined him at the kitchen table once it was cooked.

"Bangers and mash? There's plenty there" she indicated for him to help himself.

Damon grinned at her and her reference to another classic British dish. He stood and went to the stove to help himself to some sausages and mashed potato and sat back opposite her.

He took a bite and hummed in appreciation.

"This is actually good" he murmured as he tucked in.

"I'm not sure whether to be insulted or ecstatic that my cooking meets the Italian chef's approval" Jessica jested.

Damon chuckled at her as the pair ate in comfortable silence.

"So where is Mr Hyde tonight?" Jessica finally asked.

"More rehearsals for the Miss Mystic competition tomorrow. He's obviously escorting Elena. Other than that, I haven't seen him since I kicked him out of the house yesterday" Damon answered.

Jessica's eyes widened.

"You kicked him out?" she asked.

"Of course I did, he couldn't control himself around you and it is up to him to get a handle on that. It is not something for you to worry about" Damon replied.

Jessica grimaced.

"I'm still sorry for him though. It's my fault he's had to stay away from his own home. I feel awful" she whispered.

"Don't worry about it" Damon encouraged.

Jessica nodded.

"A couple of days and all should be fine again" Jessica stated.

Damon nodded.

"I can tell. The smell of your blood is starting to get less noticeable. However, I think at the moment, your period is an irrelevant factor. To Stefan, when a human – any human – opens their mouth to speak, all he can hear is the sound of that person's heartbeat coming out of their mouth. When he looks at a human, all he can see are their veins throbbing, pushing warm fresh blood around their body. I'm glad he's away from you but I am slightly concerned about the rest of your peers…except Lockwood of course" Damon explained.

Jessica laughed.

"How are things with Lockwood by the way? Have you spoken to him since…you know?" Damon asked awkwardly.

Jessica shrugged.

"Not yet, I think his dad put him in his place and he's a bit stroppy at the moment because of it. I thought I'd give him space to process before I chat with him" Jessica said.

"Smart girl, you could just stay away from him altogether. That works to!" Damon suggested.

Jessica smiled.

"You would say that!" she grinned.

"Of course, he punched you in the face" Damon said.

"By accident" Jessica reminded.

"Speaking of, that bruise has completely cleared up. How have you managed to get rid of it in a couple of days? That bruise was nasty, have you used make-up?" Damon asked.

Jessica shook her head.

"No, I heal quickly. Bruises, even nasty ones, only show for a day or two before disappearing completely" Jessica said.

Damon sat in thought for a moment.

"Do you think that could be the vampire part of you? You bounced back quicker than I expected after the attack in the house as well, despite my blood helping you along" Damon asked.

Jessica shrugged.

"I don't know, there were always a lot of things my body could do that made me stand out against the other kids. To be honest, I don't really know what's just me and what is my genetic makeup" she said.

"Tell me" Damon said.

"What?" Jessica asked.

"Go through some unusual scenarios that have happened to you before and I will weigh in on the vampire tendency. If we can work it out, we can use any of your abilities to your advantage" Damon suggested.

"Okay" Jessica agreed as she began to comb back through her memories.

"Well, we know I have some kind of reaction to vervain, it doesn't burn like it does a vampire but there is some sort of weakness or aggravation there. It feels a bit like I've been stung by stinging nettles" Jessica said.

Damon nodded.

"What about speed? Are you fast at running or walking?" Damon asked.

Jessica nodded.

"When I was younger and my teachers thought I had potential, I was considered to be very athletic and was often put forward for county championship races and competitions and I was very good at it. The talent seemed natural as I did not have to do any extra exercise or practise, it was just a skill I always had" Jessica answered.

"Speed, strength, and general athleticism are all attributes found in vampires and I have noticed your speed a couple of times now. I don't think it's on a supernatural level, but it is definitely more than what I would consider average for someone human and your height, age, weight etc." Damon stated.

"What about compulsion?" Damon asked.

Jessica shook her head.

"I've never had that ability but, on the other hand, I've never tried to do it" Jessica shrugged.

Damon nodded again.

"What about your hearing?" Damon asked.

"I'm sorry, what?" Jessica jested.

Damon rolled his eyes at her but grinned anyway.

"No, I don't think so, but I can tune in to specific conversations going on around me if I focus enough" Jessica replied.

Damon nodded and went back to eating his food. Jessica and Damon finished their meal in a comfortable silence.

Once they had finished eating and had cleared the table, Damon turned to Jessica.

"The Miss Mystic competition is tomorrow afternoon" Damon stated.

"Have fun!" Jessica exclaimed.

"Oh, you're coming to" Damon replied.

Jessica groaned.

"I really don't do dances" Jessica whined.

Damon nodded.

"I know but the whole town is going to be there, the founding families will be expected to be there" Damon said.

"I know but I really don't want to go" Jessica sighed.

"I'll do you a deal. I will give you my credit card so you can go and pick out a nice dress in the morning. You go to the dance tomorrow afternoon and at least pretend to be having the best time of your life, and I will consider it as three of your punishments" Damon stated.

Jessica paused and thought about it, three punishments gone would mean that she had only one more to go after the whole getting high incident.

Jessica sighed knowing she was going to hate getting up in the morning.

"Ok, deal" she agreed.

.

.

.

The following morning, Jessica got up and got dressed. She knew that Damon was waiting for her downstairs, and he was taking her to a town a few miles out called Richmond. Jessica thought about the Richmond she grew up knowing, the Richmond that was just on the outskirts of London. She remembered her mother taking her out there a few times to the National Archives in order to aid her research. Jessica had been extremely bored the whole time, but her mother had been determined.

"Jessica, you ready?" she heard Damon shout from the bottom of the stairs.

"Just coming" she shouted back as she grabbed her jacket and bolted out of her room.

As she caught up to Damon and the pair got in the car, Jessica sensed that Damon was a bit tense.

"Something wrong?" Jessica asked as Damon started driving.

"No, I've just got a really bad feeling about this dance" Damon replied.

"You and me both" Jessica muttered.

Damon grinned.

Once in Richmond, Damon handed Jessica his credit card.

"Now, go and find a dress…a dress that fits! I'll be in the bar across the street" Damon instructed.

Jessica nodded as she awkwardly took Damon's credit card and headed into the dress shop.

She spent a short time looking through all of the dresses on the racks and hated every single one of them. The only one that remotely appealed to her was a short, light blue dress that looked like it had been taken straight from 27 Dresses. Jessica smiled as she thought about the film, it had been one of the last that she and her mother had watched together…

She shook her head at her thoughts, and without further hesitation, she grabbed her size from the rack and took the dress to the changing rooms to try it on.

She was happyish with the dress, and it fitted quite well, the only problem she could see was just how much the bones of her shoulders stood out. She really did need to eat more.

Luckily, as she headed towards the counter to pay for the dress, she saw a light blue shawl that would match the dress perfectly and cover up her scrawny shoulders. She grabbed the shawl and went to pay for the items.

The cashier was polite and placed the dress and shawl in a plastic suit bag which would cover both items and keep them protected and crease free. Jessica thanked the cashier once she had paid and then headed across the road towards the bar.

She headed into the bar and quickly found Damon, before the bartender found her, and approached his table.

Upon seeing her and the bag in her hand, Damon openly stared at her in shock.

"You were only gone fifteen minutes!" Damon exclaimed.

Jessica raised an eyebrow in response.

"Obviously! Do you really think I am going to waste any more time than necessary on looking for a dress, a clothing item I hate to wear, for an event I really do not want to go to?" Jessica replied as she handed Damon back his credit card.

"Is it appropriate?" Damon asked hesitantly, he really hoped that she hadn't just grabbed the first dress she saw.

"It's formal" was Jessica's response.

Her response did not ease Damon's concerns however, before he could voice his opinions further, Jessica spoke first.

"I'll wait by the car; the bartender is about to kick me out" Jessica indicated towards the unimpressed looking bartender.

Without waiting for a response, Jessica left the bar and went to stand by Damon's car.

.

.

.

Once back at home, Damon left Jessica to get herself ready for the event. Whilst Jessica had been grabbing a dress, Elena had called him. Elena had seen Stefan the night before and earlier this morning, Stefan gave reason for Elena to be extremely concerned and she had called Damon immediately.

Damon knew the only way to get Stefan under control was to vervain him and lock him up. Damon had told Jessica that he would be back to pick her up later in time for the Miss Mystic event, he was going to scope out the event venue and hatch a plan. He left the house taking his suit with him, just in case.

Jessica enjoyed the silence of the house and actually relaxed at the thought of being on her own for a bit. Tyler had texted her on the drive home from Richmond and said that he wanted to talk to her. When Jessica found out that she was going to have the house to herself, she texted Tyler back and invited him over.

Approximately twenty minutes after Damon had left, the doorbell chimed. Jessica looked out the window and saw Tyler's car parked in the driveway. She headed down and opened the front door.

"Hi" she said as she saw Tyler stood on the doorstep, his hands in his pockets.

"Hi" he said back.

"Come on in" Jessica invited him.

Tyler walked into the house and his eyes widened in surprise.

"And I thought my house was a museum" he stated lightly.

Jessica chuckled.

"I know it's a bit fancy. But it is comfortable and I'm bloody thankful for it. Come on, my room is less overwhelming" Jessica replied.

The two headed up to Jessica's room.

In Jessica's room Tyler sat awkwardly on her bed next to her.

"Hey about the other night…" Tyler started, groping for words to explain himself.

"Your early mid-life crisis you mean?" Jessica quipped.

Tyler grimaced, that seemed a very apt way of putting it.

"I honestly do not know why, nor do I have any excuse for my behavior that night" Tyler admitted.

"What happened? I know you and Matt have been having your troubles but, never did I think you would go for his mum" Jessica said softly.

"I don't know. Everything was fine and then, I got into an argument with my dad, and after that I was so angry. Beyond angry and I was just itching for a fight. I honestly think that I knew Matt would beat the shit out of me if I kissed his mom, and I wanted him to do it. I wanted to fight, and hit, and shout…I really don't know how to explain it. I have this pent-up anger and aggression inside of me and it builds, and it builds until it is unbearable, and it needs to be unleashed so that I can feel calm again. Does that make sense? I must sound like a right psychopath!" Tyler tried to explain his actions knowing that he had no excuse for them.

"Whilst I don't understand why you had to make out with Matt's mum to piss him off, I do understand what it is like to have so much pent-up anger inside of you that it just explodes out of you so uncontrollably that it frightens you" Jessica admitted.

"You do?" Tyler asked.

Jessica nodded and smiled awkwardly at him.

"I know we're not going out or anything, but I still owe you an apology…I hurt you!" Tyler apologised as guilt tore through him.

"It was an accident; I know you didn't do it on purpose, and you're forgiven. Anyway, if anything, I owe you. You gave me a safe space to stay when I needed it" Jessica replied.

Tyler let out a relieved sigh, a giant guilty weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

"Thank you" he murmured as he lay his head on Jessica's shoulder.

"No problem" Jessica replied.

The two sat quietly for a bit before Jessica spoke again.

"Damon is making me go to this Miss Mystic thingy, I suppose you're going as well?" Jessica asked him.

Tyler nodded.

"Well…shall I quickly get ready and then we can head to yours so you can get ready? Then Damon doesn't have to trek all the way back here to get me? Unless you have a date?" Jessica suggested.

Tyler shook his head.

"Nope, no date. You get ready, I'll wait" Tyler agreed.

"Perfect, I'll quickly grab a shower. I'll be an hour tops and then we can go" Jessica said as she raced for her shower.

She came out of the shower a short time later, wrapped in her towel, and sat down at her vanity as she began to tackle her curls.

Tyler watched as she brushed and dried her hair. He realised that he had been awful to her the night of the charity event, but he had enjoyed making out with Kelly. Thinking about how hot the woman was made Tyler think about the young woman who was sat in front of him.

Tyler suddenly moved from his relaxed position on the bed, and he walked over to her, he wanted Jessica.

Jessica made eye contact with him through her mirror as he came to stand behind her. He bent down and placed a light kiss on the back of one of her bare shoulders.

"You're so hot" he whispered.

She grinned back at his reflection.

"You're not too bad yourself love" she replied as she turned her head towards the shoulder he was kissing and kissed his cheek.

Electric touch.

Tyler moved his head to meet her lips as the two began snogging heatedly.

Jessica stood up and pressed her body against Tyler's as she moved her arms up to lock around his neck. Tyler moved his arms so that one was across Jessica's shoulder blades and the other supported her lower back.

The two lost themselves in the kiss. That was just the way with them, one kiss seemed to ignite them both.

Whilst still kissing, Tyler walked towards Jessica's bed and Jessica moved with him.

The back of Jessica's legs hit her bed first and Tyler took advantage of the momentum to gently guide Jessica into laying down on the bed. Once she was laying down, Tyler climbed on top of her.

Tyler lightly gripped Jessica's hips and pressed himself against her. Feeling that he was already hard, Jessica rocked her hips against him to create a heated friction.

"Fuck! You're so hard" Jessica exclaimed.

Tyler groaned at her words and Jessica's cheeks flushed at how uninhibited she was acting. She knew that she owed Tyler for letting her stay with him when she had been going through that rough patch with Damon. The best way to thank a guy was through sex…right?

Jessica felt conflicted, she really wanted to feel normal and have sex like a normal teenager without being forced or inebriated. She was trying to focus on the feeling of Tyler's hands on her body so that she could become aroused herself. Maybe skin-on-skin would help?

Jessica took off Tyler's t-shirt and then unbuckled his belt. She then popped open the button of his jeans and torturously lowered the zip.

Meanwhile, Tyler's hands were exploring Jessica's body. He lightly massaged her breasts through her towel, and he teased her nipples.

Jessica moaned at the feeling of her nipples finally hardening and that she could finally feel some form of arousal.

Tyler adjusted his position slightly so that Jessica could remove his jeans and she found herself staring at Tyler's extremely tented boxers. She instinctively took hold of the bulging fabric and started gently massaging Tyler's cock through his boxers.

"Oh fuck!" Tyler exclaimed as Jessica's hand caught his now very sensitive head.

His hips bucked upward into her hand, as if begging her to go faster.

Jessica went to remove Tyler's boxers completely, but Tyler regained enough composure to resist her.

Instead, he sat up on her bed and pulled her onto his lap as he started nipping at her neck once more. Tyler gently reached for the knot in her towel and carefully untied it. Once the towel was loose, Tyler looked directly into Jessica's eyes.

"Is this ok?" he asked her.

Jessica bit her lip as she hesitated.

How would she ever have 'normal' sex if she couldn't gain the confidence to allow a guy to see her naked?

Still feeling uncertain, she nodded her consent anyway.

She knew he wanted to remove her towel, which would leave her completely exposed to him, but it made her feel vulnerable. At least last time, the alcohol removed that vulnerability and fear.

Tyler removed Jessica's towel completely and he took a moment to appreciate her body. His hands gently explored Jessica's exposed flesh and she tried to relax under his touch. His gentle touches were taking her somewhere new, and she tried to concentrate on that.

"OHHH" Jessica moaned out as she finally started feeling something.

Tyler's eyes widened at her reaction to him, and he looked into her eyes once more.

"For real this time?" he asked.

Jessica paused and thought about it. If she could get this over with quickly then she would finally understand what others her age were going on about. Plus, Tyler would get mad at her if she backed out now…wouldn't he? She owed him something for all his help.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she nodded.

"For real" she confirmed.

Tyler groaned out in desire, and he manoeuvred them so that Jessica was laying on her back and he was on top of her.

Jessica used the position to remove Tyler's boxers and the two of them lay bare for the other.

They explored each other's bodies a bit more until Tyler's hand made its way down Jessica's body, lower and lower until…

"Fuck! Oh!" Jessica yelled uncontrollably as Tyler found that magic nub between her legs and gently stroked her.

Tyler smiled as Jessica seemed to enjoy his touch, he was determined to make her cum, right here, right now.

He continued to stroke her with his thumb as he inserted two fingers into her hot, wet, centre.

"Ohhhhhh" Jessica moaned out as she climbed a bit closer to release.

She wasn't sure how to feel, she just wanted to reach the end already so that she could cover herself once more, but his fingers were intimately deeper inside her than her own fingers had ever been, and it felt a little unusual. She couldn't work out if she wanted him to stop or not due to the pressure of his touch.

Unaware of Jessica's thoughts, Tyler found a steady rhythm using his fingers as he watched her facial expression change and felt her muscles start to tighten around his fingers.

"Tyler, uh…I'm…" she managed to squeal out as her heartbeat sped up and lower body started to convulse in a way that she had never felt with someone else before.

Tyler watched as Jessica came apart over his fingers and, only once she had completely ridden out her first orgasm, did he retract his fingers from her.

"Good?" Tyler asked as he moved over her and started snogging her once again.

"Mmmmm…" Jessica said through their kissing not having time to process how she felt.

"Are you sure?" Tyler asked.

He was hard as steel and didn't know how much longer he could hold out.

Jessica very nearly told him to stop. She wasn't sure that she was ready to go any further, but her mind was so foggy from her orgasm that she nodded anyway before she could talk herself out of it.

"Pill?" he asked her.

Jessica nodded as Tyler reached his hand down between their bodies.

Tyler gently took hold of his cock and positioned it at her entrance.

Jessica could already feel the stretch at her opening and tried to relax to accommodate him.

Tyler groaned at the feeling of her tightness and tried not to blow his load right there and then.

Tyler very slowly sunk into her heat and the two moaned as their bodies became one. Tyler was in heaven and Jessica was trying not to tense but instead relax and enjoy the experience. It was a task of mind over matter.

Once Tyler was completely inside her, he gently started to pull himself out of her. Jessica thought that maybe she should do something with her hips as Tyler tried to work out a well-timed tempo between them.

Lost in her, Tyler quickly found himself reaching his ultimate peak.

Tyler also knew that he was closer to the edge than Jessica was as he thrusted deeper into Jessica. He wanted her to reach her peak as well so, he reached his hand down once more between them and once again, found Jessica's magic nub.

He rubbed her in time to their thrusts and Jessica surprisingly made it to the edge again soon after.

"Holy fuck!" Jessica shouted as she convulsed around him.

Her convulsions triggered Tyler's own release and he shot his load deep inside of her.

"Ohhhhh Jess!" Tyler hollered as he rode out his own release.

'Thank God! It's going to be over' Jessica thought to herself, her anxiety creeping up on her quicker than she could calm it.

After the two had finished and their breathing calmed, Tyler lay down next to Jessica.

Jessica was trying to get the fog in her mind to clear. She had never had many orgasms in front of someone before. Orgasms at her own hand had never felt like that, and she hardly ever orgasmed during sex before. Her mind was spinning, she didn't know what to feel in that moment. She felt like she had achieved something by pushing herself like this but, at the same time, it hadn't been quite like she thought it would. She knew she didn't have deep loving feelings towards Tyler, maybe more like a friend. Perhaps that's why she felt slightly empty again. Did the sex have any true meaning between the two of them?

Jessica promptly told her brain to 'shut up' and decided that she would accept tonight as a win as she had finally had a somewhat normal and sober sexual experience.

Tyler watched as Jessica was lost in her thoughts. He could sense that she was struggling to process how she was feeling and so, he wrapped his arms around her in comfort as the two snuggled, a mixture of sweat and personal fluids coating their bodies.

"How was that for you?" Jessica asked after a while.

"That was some hot, explosive sex" Tyler admitted.

"Was I any good?" Jessica whispered to herself, too quiet for Tyler to actually hear her.

As the two came back to earth, another thought struck Jessica.

"Holy shit Tyler! What's the time?" she asked.

Tyler looked over to Jessica's alarm clock on her nightstand.

"1pm" he stated.

"Oh my God Tyler, the Miss Mystic event starts in less than an hour!" Jessica exclaimed as she started to sit up, she was going to need another shower.

"We could not go" Tyler shrugged as Jessica climbed out of bed.

"You know that your parents would kill you, and Damon will kill me" Jessica retorted.

"I guess you're right. Go shower – again – first, I'm going to need one to…if that's ok?" Tyler said as he got up as well.

"That's fine…we are going to be so late! You still need to change into a suit!" Jessica said as she headed for the shower again.

"When you called, I was in town picking up my suit. It's in the back of my car. Let's shower and then we can get dressed" Tyler replied.

Jessica quickly showered again and rushed around drying her hair and getting dressed. By the time Tyler was out of the shower, Jessica was fully dressed, complete with hair and make-up.

"Woah! You really don't want to be late" Tyler stated as he haphazardly threw on his t-shirt and jeans and grabbed his belongings.

He only needed to run to his car anyway.

"Damn straight! Damon will tan my arse" Jessica said as she grabbed her bag and the pair fled out of Jessica's room.

As the pair raced down the stairs, Jessica was trying not to think about how much trouble she was going to be in if she showed up late. She checked her phone; they were still making good time if they left within the next ten minutes.

"Ok, you go grab your suit, I will switch off lights and start locking up the house" Jessica instructed.

The pair reached the living room and Tyler turned and quickly kissed her once more.

The kiss calmed her as usual but, she did not feel a loving connection like she thought she would.

"Relax, it will take me two minutes tops to change" Tyler re-assured her.

"Ok" Jessica breathed trying to bat her negative thoughts away.

"You look absolutely stunning by the way" Tyler grinned as he looked at her appreciatively.

"I bet you will to, once you actually have your suit on!" Jessica jested, trying to encourage him to hustle.

"He might not look so 'stunning' when I'm through with him" a third voice suddenly boomed through the room.

Both teens gasped in fright as their eyes frantically searched the room for the owner of the voice.

Damon was sat in one of the chairs that was tucked away in the corner of the room, glass of bourbon in hand. The two teens would not have noticed him from their position as they entered the room, Damon had chosen the seat purposefully for that reason.

"Shit" Jessica whispered under her breath at the terrifying sight of her father casually sat in the chair.

"Got that right kid" he muttered back as he stood up.

"How long have you been home?" Jessica asked awkwardly as Tyler gulped beside her and clasped her hand.

"Long enough…" Damon replied.

He took a deep breath and turned to stare at the two nervous teens.

Damon looked at Tyler and noted, with extreme anger, that the kid's shirt was inside out, and his jeans were still unbuttoned.

"Your mother has been going nuts for hours wondering where the hell you are. Go and get your suit, now!" Damon stated, glaring at the punk's state of undress.

Tyler nodded and looked at Jessica once more before rushing out to his car to get his suit.

Damon then turned to Jessica.

"Are you for real? What the hell were you thinking?!" Damon stated dangerously, trying not to yell.

"I…I texted…" she stammered.

"I KNOW you texted. I was already driving home and didn't actually look at my phone and read your text until I had already arrived back here" Damon stated.

"Sorry…" Jessica grimaced.

"You're 'sorry', seriously? What are you playing at Jessica?" Damon asked, fuming internally at how casually she had invited a boy into her home alone without telling anyone that he was there.

Anything could've happened! Damon could not believe how ridiculously stupid she had been at putting herself into a potentially dangerous situation whilst home alone.

"How long have you really been home?" Jessica asked awkwardly, knowing she did not want to know the answer.

"I arrived around 'you're so hard'" Damon deadpanned, pulling a disgusted face as he shook his head.

Jessica's cheeks flamed in embarrassment, Damon had been home for the entire time she and Tyler were having sex. Obviously, he would've heard the entire thing as well.

Before anything else could be said, Tyler came sprinting back into the house with his suit and shoes in hand.

"Get changed, and quickly" Damon ordered as he turned his back on the teens and started to douse the flames in the fireplace.

Knowing it was all the privacy he was going to get, Tyler quickly changed into his suit.

Damon gave Tyler a couple of minutes.

"Are you ready?" Damon asked as he turned to face the now suited Tyler.

Tyler nodded.

"And you have all your belongings?" Damon asked.

"Yes" Tyler murmured.

"Good, now leave. Get in your car, and drive home" Damon ordered.

Tyler hesitated at Damon's tone and looked fleetingly at Jessica to check that she was going to be ok.

Seeing Tyler hesitate at his orders, Damon's temper finally snapped.

"You can leave now through the door, or I will help you leave via the window" Damon warned.

Tyler gulped and nodded.

"Yes sir" Tyler whispered.

"I'm sorry" Tyler said as he gave one last look at Jessica before calmly leaving the house.

Damon and Jessica stood in awkward silence as Damon listened to the sound of Tyler's car getting distant down the driveway until it was gone completely.

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" Damon finally bellowed.

"No…I wanted to…I agreed to…" Jessica tried to pull her thoughts together after Damon's sudden outburst.

"I know you did! That is why it was insane. Do you not see how ridiculous and reckless that was? Do you not see that this is not going to make the demons of your past go away? In fact, this is likely to make them worse now" Damon stated.

"I don't understand, I'm fine…" Jessica replied confused.

"You are certainly not 'fine' Jessica! I know you may feel 'fine' and that things may seem 'fine' but, you are still dealing with a lot emotionally and mentally. You are struggling with what has happened to you in the past, you have just lost your mother, you are trying to settle into a new life, and I am certain that you have some sort of eating disorder. Now, answer me this: did you push yourself to have sex today or was it a genuine experience you wanted to have? Did you space out during it? Were you consumed by your thoughts instead of the situation at hand? I know for a fact that you still have nightmares that you struggle with, because I hear you cry out in your sleep most nights. Do you honestly think that this was the best time to go and have sex with someone that you really don't love or care for beyond friendship?" Damon said desperately.

He was beyond despair at the thought that the teen girl, who did not yet completely love or respect herself, was able to casually and willingly be intimate with someone who probably loved and respected her even less than she did.

Damon wanted to cry for her, he wanted to wrap her in cottonwool and not let her out of his sight or grasp ever again. He wanted to help her; he wanted her to understand that sex was something to be treated delicately. That she was not yet in the right frame of mind to be having sex and that she…

"Please help me understand, I really don't know what's wrong" Jessica whispered, her father's chaotic questioning was confusing her and making her nervous.

Damon stared at her for a moment, he just wanted to hug her and cry for her.

"Answer me this: during sex, what were you thinking about?" he asked before he could stop himself.

Jessica thought for a moment and then blushed deeply in embarrassment again.

"Go on…" Damon encouraged, trying not to grimace at all the ways she could potentially answer his question.

"I was thinking about us both reaching the end…" Jessica answered awkwardly and confused.

Damon just nodded; he had suspected that would be her answer.

"The whole time?" Damon asked.

Jessica nodded.

Damon sighed.

"Sweetie, you're not supposed to want sex to end. In fact, you're supposed to enjoy the whole situation so much that you plead over and over in the moment that it never ends" Damon stated softly.

"I don't understand…" Jessica shook her head.

"No, you don't yet. But you will, I don't know when that will be, but I want you to know that I am completely here for you when you do understand, and the reality of this situation does hit you" Damon explained cryptically.

"But…I owed him one…" Jessica whispered.

Damon's eyebrows flew up into his hairline.

"What did you just say?" he whispered brokenly.

Jessica took a deep breath.

"I owed him one. He was kind in offering me a place to stay when I needed it, I had to do something to show him how thankful I am for it all, he's been so great to me and given me so much support that I…wanted to give something back to him" Jessica tried to explain.

Damon stared at Jessica in horror.

"Jessica…please do not tell me that you agreed to it because you felt like you owed him something" Damon choked sadly, the idea adding to the severity of the situation and his thoughts about her mental state.

Still feeling confused and slightly frustrated that she didn't understand what the hell her father was going on about, Jessica shrugged.

"If you were so worried about it, why didn't you stop me?" Jessica questioned.

Damon sighed. He had debated with himself when he first heard them going at it as to whether he should have stormed up there and intervened or not. He had decided not to and now he was deeply regretting that decision.

"Because, whilst you are my daughter, you are also a young woman who has practically raised herself. I would probably have a better handle on this whole 'being a dad' thing if I had been with you from the day you were born. But I haven't been. There is a boundary that I feel awkward crossing when it comes to you, because I'm far too late to stand here and order you around like you're a little child. You have been living the life you have, on your own, for a long time. I was also hoping that you would realise for yourself and stop on your own accord…" Damon trailed off as he tried to explain.

Jessica watched him lose steam and tried to process his words.

"…Tyler may not have heard what you said afterwards, but I certainly did. I heard how vulnerable you felt in that moment, and I'll bet everything that I own, that you felt like that the whole way through when you should have been feeling empowered" Damon concluded.

Jessica remained silent for a couple of minutes and contemplated her father's words.

"Ok…can we go to the event now?" Jessica asked, her mind spinning and trying to work stuff out.

Damon walked over to his daughter and pulled her into a massive hug. Jessica hugged him back automatically as she tried to blink away tears that had formed for unknown reasons. The two stayed like that for a few moments, a few tears fell down Jessica's face.

Damon noticed and assessed her in concern.

"Come on then, if you're sure" he finally said as he lightly wiped away the fallen tears from her cheeks.

Jessica nodded at him and grabbed her purse as she tried to compose herself once more.

Damon, knowingly, gave her a moment to herself before the two headed for Damon's car.

Jessica observed Damon as he drove them towards the Miss Mystic event.

"You're staring" Damon stated after a couple of miles.

"You're holding something back" Jessica replied.

"I'm trying to resist telling you just how inappropriately short I think your dress is" Damon huffed.
