Neb: I do not own Hunter X Hunter
Yujima and Minaga headed after the girl. She seemed to not notice she was being followed. Or at least it seemed that way. Minaga knew her tactical prowess was not something to underestimate. After all, she caught him in his lie twice the last time they spoke. They entered a train as they followed her and stayed behind a crowd to avoid being spotted. The train started moving and the girl took her seat.
"Mochi-." another girl with blue hair and green eyes spoke up before their pigtailed target put her hand over the bluenette's mouth. She started whispering to the blue haired girl and the blue haired girl became nervous.
"She knows we've been following her?", Minaga concluded. That could mean she was leading them away from the hunter exam instead of towards it. She cut off her friend from saying her full name also. Minaga had to give this kid credit, she was smart and was good at catching people in their lies.
"Minaga," Yujima whispered to him. Yujima had a nervous look on his face and Minaga understood. Neither of these girls were their targets, yet their list of enemies had expanded. Perhaps killing the old man wasn't a good move, all it did was bring their presence into the light. It's not like Minaga wanted the old man dead, Yujima sniped the old man thinking that he was going to hurt Minaga.
"Let's back off for now," Minaga whispered back to Yujima. That was when he heard a command.
"Stay," the pig tailed girl spoke up.
Minaga all of a sudden couldn't move. What the hell was going on, could she have been a manipulator the whole time? She then laid back in a chair before giving another command.
"Passengers who aren't headed to the hunter exam," she spoke up. "Leave at the next stop." When the train stopped, the passengers started to leave including the bluenette. Yujima stayed put, the only one who wasn't under her control
"Minaga," Yujima spoke up nervously, his gyo was active and he was staring at the back of Minaga's neck. It was when she placed her thumb on the back of his neck, of course.
"So you're probably wondering why you are still alive," she giggled as she sat back. She, Minaga, and Yujima were the only ones left in the train as it took off.
"Do you have two nen abilities?", Minaga wondered as he grabbed the back of his neck. The first one he saw was the small cats she placed on Yujima and Minaga, and now she was manipulating him.
"Of course not," she chuckled. "If I tried overstretching my nen abilities I would make myself weaker, not stronger. This ability belongs to a different, very pissed off girl who was the apprentice of the man you killed."
"So you are bringing us to her," Minaga spoke up. "To explain our actions or just so she can kill us."
"Incorrect," the girl chuckled. "I'm taking you to the hunter exam." Yujima and Minaga looked at her shocked and she smiled. "As much as it pains me to admit it, your abilities are useful, are good for dealing direct damage. At least I know his is." She looked at Yujima. "However, my own nen ability is a way to track enemies or friends no matter how far they go. I call it my Purrfection Cat Lock."
"Then what the hell is this other ability," Minaga yelled. He was still unable to move because of her command.
"I believe my friend called it... Middle Management," she responded. "She is a powerful manipulator who can give others her ability. She calls the people she gives her power to middle management. We take control of people for her and those people have to follow our and her commands. Although a middle manager cannot give commands to another middle manager's employees."
Minaga grunted, he tried thinking of a way out. That was when he had an idea. "Well it looks like we are stuck," Minaga spoke up. "Does this train take us all the way to the hunter exam?"
"It does," she carelessly told him. "Well it takes us to a tunnel that we need to hop off into, then we go down a staircase towards an underground lair. That is where the hunter exams are." Yujima put his hand up ready to snipe her, but she pointed her own hand causing the cat to reappear on him blocking his vision. Yujima fell back as he scrambled to get the cat off of himself. She then walked over to him and put her thumb on the back of his neck. "Purrfection!" She seemed gleeful. "With guy's like you backing me up, I won't lose!"
"What about the blue haired girl?", Minaga asked.
"Oh she's not a competitor," the pig tailed girl spoke up. "She's just a friend. Now don't you worry your pretty little head about these things. It's time we become hunters and then you can become Lady Nato's assassins."
"But you don't even know what my ability is," Minaga pointed out while grinning. "I know more about you then you know about me. I know you have a blue haired friend who's probably weak. I know your name starts with Mochi. I know what your abilities do. You've give everything away."
"Shut up," she yelled angrily. "What is your ability?"
"It appears I don't have to answer your questions," Minaga grinned. "Your statements have to come in the form of a command."
"I command you to show me your ability," she yelled and he stabbed her with a wind sword. She fell to the ground in fear as she stared down at her gut wound.
"You should have said tell instead of show," he explained. "Yujima, aim straight." A wind bullet then hit her in the forehead. As she bled out the cat vanished from Yujima's forehead.
"That little girl wasn't our target," Yujima spoke up.
"She was not," Minaga agreed. "If you want to back out now, you can. I now have the name of one of my targets though. Lady Nato."
"But controlling you is her nen abillity," Yujima pointed out, "If you go an face her, she will have control over you."
"And she'll have control over you as well," Minaga agreed again. "That's why I offer you a way out. I dragged you along on this mission as a tool, but now you can be used against me. As a sniper you can still be helpful, but as a comrade, I'll have to keep you at arms length now." The train then stopped and Yujima stepped out.
"You can't become a hunter yourself," Yujima pointed out.
"I probably could though," Minaga shrugged. "But that isn't my goal. Even if the old man's prodigy isn't going to be there, the woman who was with him will. I can also use a hunter license should I pass to find the rest of my targets."
"You're a real dick," Yujima sighed.
"Now you're catching on," Minaga chuckled. "Tell my little brother I said hi." The train doors then closed. Yujima headed away from the train station and Minaga stayed on in hopes of reaching the hunter exam and his target.
