Neb: I do not own Hunter X Hunter
"It's finally time to set off on my own journey. After my father the blacksmith had died, my big brother had taken my best friend and gone off on a journey. I have no doubt it is for revenge. I don't understand why he left me behind. He always leaves me behind." A young sixteen year old boy with short brown hair and silver eyes glared at the glass of water in front of him. It reminded him of when he took the test. "Conjurer, that is what I am."
"That is what you are, but who are you?", a woman spoke up. The boy looked at her. He had been talking to her for hours, telling her about himself and he didn't understand why. Did he like her? Did he relate to her?
"I told you my name," he sighed.
"Yes Arisho," she responded. "I know your name, but not you. You are not defined by your father's death or your brothers betrayal. You are you."
"You are too kind," he admitted. The girl in front of him had blonde long hair, blue eyes, and a red bead headband. She was his teacher, someone who was there for him when his father died, mother went crazy, and brother left home and kidnapped his friend. He left Arisho with nothing.
"Tell me who you are," she spoke up.
"I am Morodasu Arisho," he spoke up. "I felt a kinship with my fathers swords. They were his children just like me. Except they were perfect and sharp, just like Minaga, and..."
"You will earn your edge Arisho," she spoke up. "Just note that conjuring doesn't mean you can make the greatest sword in the world."
"I don't want the greatest sword in the world," he pointed out. "I wouldn't feel kinship towards a sword I made. It's my father's weapons I'm drawn to."
"Then it is time to will your weapon into existence," she decided. "Then you can join my mercenary group. The Red Diamond Knights will be happy to have someone with your skills on our side."
"And what of my brother?" Arisho asked.
"Mordasu Minaga and Gorobei Yujima already have earned a name for themselves," she growled under her breath. "They are called the Silent Wind Assassins. They are rivals. If you wish to join us and learn all you can about Nen, you must forget about them. Join us Arisho, we are your family now."
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Minaga was surprised he had found the Hunter Exams within such record timing. He was also surprised to see someone else familiar there.
"You really thought I'd just leave you here to fend for yourself," Yujima sighed. "You really are an arrogant dick."
"I can't believe you actually followed me here," Minaga admitted. "Your really something else Yujima."
"We are a team," Yujima explained. "We've already taken down the old man, all we have left are four more targets. I don't care how long it takes, we will avenge your father my friend."
"I don't understand," Minaga growled under his breath. "I stole your life from you. I made you my apprentice on a vengeance quest that should have been mine and mine alone. Why help me?"
"You didn't steal my life from me," Yujima sighed while picking his ear. He seemed annoyed by that comment. "I could have left your apprenticeship anytime I wanted, don't think you actually captured me. Your barely older than I am, and I could have told anyone about what kinds of tests you were having do. Like it or not, I was with you because I wanted to be. You needed a sniper and I needed a teacher. That's all there is to it."
Minaga looked down and then smiled. "Thanks Yujima, I don't know how but I will pay you back for your loyalty."
"About that," Yujima responded. "I may have heard a rumor or two that we're famous assassins now after what we did to the old man. There's a few people lined up to hire us under the condition that we pass the Hunter Exam. So if you want to pay me back, we have to win this thing."
"Right," Minaga agreed. "I don't have eyes on our target yet, but we got here fairly early, others should be showing up soon."
