Neb: I do not own Hunter X Hunter

The group of twelve people made their way to the second exam.

Morodasu Minaga

Gorobei Yujima

The black umbrella lady, whose Minaga's target: Uto Zata

The Afro man: Nishiwa Bonjiro

The man with the white rose: Kenari Kazeta

A short tanned girl with black long hair and brown eyes: Yasu Nari

A tall skinny pale man with no hair and lots of tatoos. This man stuck his tongue out like an insane maniac: He just went by Yuni

A man with several scars along his torso, face, and arms. This man had short spiky red hair and green eyes: Nakasa Dendo

A tall muscular amazon woman with a long spear strapped to her back. She had white hair and red eyes: Yadari Yane

A short boy with blue hair and green eyes. He also was pale, skinny, and had freckles: Benjinao Mabo

A skinny woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and carried two guns strapped to her side. She also was dressed like someone of law enforcement profession: Arabi Suzu

Finally a giant muscular man with a black beaded pony tail: He just went by Gabo

Minaga kept his eye on his target, the tall woman with the black umbrella. Now that the crowd was reduced to twelve people it will both be easier and harder to confront her. It would be easier to talk to her in this smaller group however, it would be harder to kill her without drawing attention. Of course, killing was the extra precaution. Minaga hoped that it won't come down to fight. Because, this woman definitely packed a stronger punch when bruising Agro.

"Welcome," A man in green Chinese style robes with a long skinny black beard spoke up. "I am the second Examiner, Yoto Aki. While Agro is a more aggressive hunter, my occupation revolves around gathering information in the library." His eyes darted back and forth scanning the group in front of him. "What a shame, a bunch of muscle heads. This always happens when I get partnered with Agro. He always knocks out the brainy competition by giving a muscle based challenge. I'm afraid that means no one will be able to pass my test, what a shame."

"Most of us don't even look brutish," the short tanned girl yelled.

"Trust me," Aki sighed. "I know what violent people look like.

The balled man Yuni giggled to himself along with Gabo. The two of them almost reminded Minaga of his other targets, the two men that came by his father's shop before he was murdered. Of course, Minaga wasn't even sure how he was going find those two. It was a miracle he found the old Dojo master, and that was what lead him to the umbrella lady. Not to mention he ran into a subordinate of the star pupil. He was hot on her trail, but the two guys just weren't in sight. Hopefully with a Hunter License, finding them will be easier.

"At least give us the test before counting us out," the afro man spoke up. "Some of us here have brains along with brawn."

"If you insist," Aki yawned. He seemed board out of his mind in the same way Agro was. "Fine." His eyes rolled to the back of his head suddenly, freaking out most of the candidates. "My test is a two part exam. The first part is answering my questions."

"Bring it," the afro man chuckled.

"Question one," he yelled. "How old are you?"

The group seemed underwhelmed with that question.

"Eighteen," Bonjiro spoke up.

"Thirty three," Zata spoke up.

"Seventeen," Yujima answered.

"Twenty- one," Minaga sighed.

"Thirty," Gabo spoke up.

"Nineteen," Yuni grinned.

Twenty-one," Yane answered.

"Eleven," Mabo spoke up.

"Fourteen," Nari added.

"Twenty-five," Dendo explained.

"Thirty," Suzu spoke up.

"Seventeen," Kazate concluded.

"You all answered honestly," Aki agreed. "Next question. Two trails of blood lead down two different paths. One trail of blood covers the path. The other is skinny and scattered. Which path do you take and why?"

The group was stunned by that next question. It seemed unusual compared to the first question.

"The path with more blood," Bonjiro responded. "Whatever took that path is already dead by now. So its the safe one."

"The trail with less blood," Zata smiled. "I'd rather fight a monster then get my shoes covered in blood."

"The trail with less blood," Yujima spoke up. "The other path was clearly staged to terrify people by some psycho, the other path probably has someone injured. I'd like to help the injured person."

"The path with more blood," Minaga decided. "Blood doesn't scare me. Plus I'm curious to see what could have made the path that way."

"The path with more blood," Gabo laughed. "I'll crush any monster that get in my way."

"The path with less blood," Yuni shrugged with a grin. "I'd like to paint it myself!"

"The path with less blood," Yane spoke up. "I agree with Yujima. I'd rather help a person live then see how many died."

"I don't like this question," Mabo sighed. "Less blood I guess, cause the other one is gross."

"I agree with Mabo," Nari winced. "I'm not walking down a bloody path. In fact, I'd rather make another path then go down either of them. Wait, is that an OK answer?"

"It is," the examiner responded as he took notes in his journal. "Next."

"The path with less blood," Dendo decided after taking time to think. "Not out of fear of the other path, but out of concern."

"Your concern is fear," Aki waved it away. "Next."

"I'll examine both paths," Suzu spoke up. "As an officer of the law I am required to. If that answer is ok?"

"It is," Aki responded while continuing to take notes. "Next."

"The path with less blood," Kazate responded. "I don't want to stain my shoes either."

"Before I ask the next question," Aki began. "I have some liars among you to confront. For instance, Yane isn't twenty one. She is thirty seven."

"How rude," the amazon woman yelled.

"Second question. Dendo, Kazate, and Zata lied. Dendo claimed to brave when he is not. Kazate and Zata are pretending to not like it when their clothes get dirty. Those two have walked down bloody paths in their past."

"H-how did you know that?" Kazate yelled while Zata gave a cold stare."

"Lets just say I have a special ability for finding liars," Aki explained. "The four of you will be moving on to part two. The remaining members may pass this round all together if they answer the next two questions honestly."

"Easy enough," Yujima grinned.

"I will ask you both questions now. answer them both in the same order. The third question is... Why did you decide to become a hunter? What do you plan on doing after you've gotten your license."

"Those are the same question aren't they?", Bonjiro wondered.

"To some they are, to others they aren't," Aki responded. "Answer the questions please, or skip and move on to part two."

"I joined for money, and I plan on using my license to make money," Bonjiro explained.

"Excellent. next."

Yujima was stunned. He couldn't answer without giving Minaga and himself away. How would they earn a living as assassins if they tell everyone they plan on assassinating people. Aside from that, they came here to interrogate a competitor and possibly kill her as well. What the hell was this? "I have to skip," Yujima sighed.

"I also skip," Minaga responded. He obviously knew how to answer. He came to avenge his father, and he plans on using the license to gain information on the man who murdered his father. He wasn't told to specify after all. However, The umbrella lady Uto Zata was in this next round. If she fails, she leaves the hunter exam. This may be his last chance to ask her if she murdered his father."

"To prove my strength," Gabo spoke up. "I don't know what I need the license for, however. I'll probably sell it."

"I skip," Yuni grinned sadistically.

"I think we all know your intentions anyway," Gabo laughed.

"To join my brother as a botanical hunter," Mabo spoke up. "The license is for that as well."

"To be a blacklist hunter," Nari responded. "The license is bait that I will use to lure my targets to me."

Yujima looked shocked at the little girl. Could he of gotten away with the same answer? She didn't seem to mind talking about her business, even though she's just a small child.

"To be a crime hunter," Suzu spoke up. "My license will offer me a big promotion when I return to my work as a detective."

"That concludes part one," Aki spoke up. "Part two will begin soon. Get ready, Nakasa Dendo, Yadari Yane, Uto Zata, Kenari Kazeta, Yuni, Morodasu Minaga, and Gorobei Yujima."

"Wait a minute," Yujima spoke up. "The others passed. What the hell was with all that big talk in the beginning? Your questions didn't require a brain, Only honesty!"

"Yes well," Aki spoke up. "That was more for dramatic effect. The Examiner is allowed to lie."
