Noswyl ironically is the first to wake up despite his injuries and young age.

unfortunately for him despite trying to go back to sleep for over an hour, he is unable too. Well that's just great I was wondering when the insomnia would kick in. In my last life I started having insomnia at around ten years old but it was a psychological problem, and not the chemical imbalance kind so I assumed it would also carry over.

Noswyl finally opens his eyes and looks around the room seeing that others are still sleeping. Yeah I should have figured I'd be the first one up. Though now that I'm thinking about it how am I going to practice magic with Gregory around? I suppose I could tell them... I'll wait until they trust me more, same for me...

Noswyl gets out of bed silently and opens the drawer of his bedside table, he rummages around for a bit before finding a notebook and pen.

that's lucky, I've been in hotel rooms before and about 70% of them had a notebook. He tears off a piece of paper and lays it down on bedside table and turns on the lamp too illuminate it for more visibility.

Noswyl writes a note explaining that he's going out, because he can't sleep which is true in a sense. But he really just wants to get out and practice magic without distractions or questions.

Noswyl walks through the streets of London in the early morning, with a small smile on his face.

it feels real now, I did it! I managed to get to Britain. Noswyl chuckles at his own childish thoughts.

now where should I practice? I don't know my way around London yet so I'll have to choose a location that nice a private.

walking around through the city eventually he gets a bit lost, so he goes up to a local and asks where he can buy a map. He gets some weird looks because he's a kid alone in London and he doesn't even know his way around. But they still give him the information.

I'm glad they didn't see my wound where my ear used to be, that would have definitely caused some problems.

He finds his way to a shop that was definitely designed for tourists, he simply gets a map and pays getting nothing else despite the owners sales pitch.

ok looking at this map, I think this docklands place would be suitable for my purposes. It's an industrial section that has some construction work happening so it shouldn't have many people there.

Noswyl takes stock of the things in the alley which is an old broken dumpster, and for some reason a kitchen sink. Who the hell puts a sink in an alley?

I think I have an idea to make this place even better for me. Noswyl walks over to the dumpster which has been abandoned for so long it doesn't even smell anymore, and looks at its hinges which are still intact. He starts moving the lid up and down with his magic while observing the hinges.

hmm, I never was one for engineering or building things. But I never would have guessed that hinges could be exciting!

Noswyl goes to the back of the alley and transfigures the concrete into a much denser version of itself, compressing it by a large margin. And taking the rest of the concrete that couldn't be compressed out of the way. Leaving a hole in the ground about 8 feet deep and 3 feet wide.

step number one complete. Now for an entrance. Noswyl transfigures the dumpster into a nice hunk of metal and takes a small portion of it.

Visualization is very important here as I've never done something this complex with transfiguration. He focuses his mind to the image a hinge and guides his magic to creating it using his will as a guide. He manages to create a hinge of neither poor quality or good quality which is a success in his book.

Hmm interesting I didn't expect such a result on my first attempt, but it seems I have been underestimating my abilities. I have excellent Visualizations and great talent all I need now is patience and practice.

Noswyl transfigures the left over concrete into a dense slab and attaches the hinge to the wall of the hole and the slab. He tries to put the slab into the hole but it's slightly too big which is exactly what he wants.

now It cannot fit right now but if I... Noswyl uses a softening charm and pushes the concrete slab into the hole. It fits perfectly!

Undoing the softening charm Noswyl tries to open the hatch with his magic and is pleased that he is unable to budge it. This won't stand up to a bombarda but it blends in nicely and it's still quite strong.

Using another softening charm and pulling it up with his magic as it's completely flat and doesn't have anything to grab. He enters the hole and undoes the softening charm and closes it leaving a small gap for air to enter.

Ok so I'll need about 30 feet by 20 feet of space with enough clearance for my head in the future.

A couple hours of hard work and Noswyl steps back to admire his work, it's a smooth room with small trenches on the floor that don't impede walking but are there to catch liquids and gather them all into a single location that Noswyl coated with the ceramic from the sink. This is mostly for acid and potions.

The walls have in built shelves in them with slots in them for different sizes of containers from test tubes to wand cases. With the only thing in them right now is some left over metal from the dumpster and the metal from the sink. I have no idea what the sink pipes were made of but I'm sure I'll figure it out, no use in wasting resources.

this is a good starting point for my experiments, I'll improve more as time goes on I'm sure. And I highly doubt this will be my workshop for any longer than my Hogwarts tenure. Noswyl nods in satisfaction before he feels the exhaustion seeping in.

it was about time I left anyway, Gregory has probably started worrying about me. Noswyl quickly exits and shuts the entrance and undoes the softening charm before jogging back to the hotel...
