Neb:The Hunter Exams have ended, yet not all of my OCs are done hanging out in Minaga and Yujima's story. Afterall, Dendo, Yane, and Nari have decided to work for Minaga and Yujima in order to train their Nen. I do not own Hunter X Hunter.

It had been six hours already. Minaga had been training his fellow Hunters as hard as he did Yujima when they were kids. He found the tallest tree he could in the forest on the outskirts of Yorknew City. He had them climb all the way to the top, find the sturdiest branch they could and practice their Ren upon that branch.

Nari fell on her knees and begun panting heavily after releasing her Ren for so long.

"Get back to releasing your Ren," Minaga called up to her. "Nen works like your body. It is a muscle and must be used every day in order to grow stronger. We don't have a lot of time before our first mission so you guys have to train ten times as hard!"

"Well he's pleasant," Yane mumbled. She never really liked Minaga. Yujima was the one who's honor couldn't be questioned. Minaga however was a cold blooded killer. Not in the same since that Yuni and Gabo were. Those two were sick bastards who enjoyed murder. Minaga wasn't like them, but he did possess the ability to kill if need be. And he wasn't afraid to do it.

"Quit whining and keep doing," Dendo growled. His body was red again and steam was rolling off his skin.

"Dendo," Minaga spoke up. "It seems you're already capable of transforming your Nen."

"Not like you guys can," Dendo admitted. "I've never seen anyone project wind from their fists before." He remembered during Agro's portion of the exam when Yujima swung a wind punch at Agro.

"Not to mention Minaga was capable of killing Yuno and Zata," Nari pointed out.

"Come back down from the tree," Minaga decided. "We will continue strengthening your Nen tomorrow. For now we will do the tea leaf test and then we will work on Ten and Zetsu. Wants we are done with Ten we will move on to Shu. Zetsu is a harder one to master, but for our line of work it will be crucial. Once Zetsu is finished we will work on completely hiding your aura with In. Once I'm satisfied with your abillities to use Ren, we will move on to Gyo. If you guys fail to show the results I want within these three days, I will stop teaching you and you'll have to find someone else. If you do master these abilities, or get close enough that I will except you, you can come with Yujima and I on our mission. Understand?"

Dendo and Nari both nodded. Yane was reluctant to nod, having a skinny guy like Minaga tell her what to do put her off. But what he did to Agro was no small feat. If it wasn't for him damaging the blonde muscled man, it's possible that none of them would have passed the Hunter Exam.

"Dendo, you are up first," Minaga spoke up.

Dendo moved to the cup and put his hands on it. "What am I suppose to do?"

"Use Ren," Minaga ordered.

Dendo's skin went red and steam flowed off his body. The cup stayed still and Dendo was wondering if he was doing something wrong. Minaga stuck his finger in the cup and then put his finger in his mouth. The water turned salty.

"Transmuter," Minaga announced. This was going to be hard. Transmuters were often dishonest. Which meant Dendo's loyalty could be in question. "Next up is Yane."

Yane placed her hands on the cup and used Ren. Water started flowing out of the cup.

"Enhancer," Minaga called out. "Interesting." Minaga then turned to Nari and waved her over.

Nari put her hands on the mug. Nothing happened to the water or the leaf, the mug however began to hover off of the ground slightly and then land back on the ground.

"Interesting," Minaga admitted. "I've never seen or heard of this before. You must have some kind of unknown Nen trait.

"The kid's talented," Yujima chuckled.

"B-but I didn't do anything," Nari pointed out.

"Some people are born special," Minaga explained. "Those types of people are called Specialists. I might have an idea or two on how to train Dendo and Yane after they master the basics, but you.. you may have to find your own way."

"So you're just giving up on me like that," Nari growled under her breath.

"As I stated," Minaga continued. "I will teach you all the basics, but if you can't learn it within our time frame I will move forward without you. That being said, Even if I could teach you advanced ways to use your Nen, you are still better off learning from yourself. No one knows your body better then you do."

"I won't help you either," Yujima stated. "As Minaga stated, I am his pupil. I will not train you in the ways of Nen, because I don't fully comprehend it either."

"Now," Minaga spoke up. "I want you to use Ren again. Instead of radiating it so hard, I want you to control it. Once you've learned to control your Nen as an aura that emits around your whole body without escaping. Then you would have understood Ten."

The three of them lined up and begun releasing Ren once more. Controlling it was tough, but eventually they got it. After three hours Nari was the first to control her aura. Two hours after that, Dendo and Yane had control over their Ten as well."

The three of them were laying on the forest floor completely exhausted.

"Sure take another break," Minaga yawned. "You still haven't learned Zetsu yet and there's still nine other principles of Nen you need to learn in order to master the basics. It took you guys a whole day just to learn Ren and Ten."

"How long did it take you?", Yane argued.

"Don't raise your voice at me," Minaga yelled. "I am holding off an important mission of mine to help you three learn how to control your Nen. You guys wanted to learn from me and I laid out the rules. If you want to back off now, go ahead. Yujima and I can move forward ourselves."

Yane growled under her breath, but Dendo and Nari got on their hands and knees.

"Please keep training us," they both said.

"I have my own goals as well," Dendo stated. "If you know eleven different ways to use your aura, then please teach me. Finding another teacher would be even harder then learning from you."

"I wish to be a Black List Hunter," Nari explained. "I don't want to fail now before I even begin my first mission."

Minaga stared at the two of them and then nodded. He then glared at the amazon woman Yane who glared right back at him. She then joined the other two despite how humiliating it was.

"I have a goal to be the strongest person that ever lived," she sighed. "Please help me become stronger."

"Luckily for you I don't plan on being the strongest," Minaga stated. "I don't care if you surpass me in strength, only about whether you are in my way or not." Minaga headed over to the large tree he had them climb up and he grabbed a skinny easily breakable branch from nearby. He then stabbed the tree with the branch sticking it straight through.

The three hunters stared in amazement at him.

"That is Shu," Minaga explained. "Now that you can control your aura, you must learn to project it onto an item. However, putting your aura on an item doesn't mean it becomes invincible. Especially if your Nen is weak." He glared at them and they nodded. "You can spend the night learning Shu, strengthening your Ren, or perfecting Ten. You also have the option to just sleep instead. Again you guys know your bodies better then I do. Have a good night." With that Minaga headed off into the woods and the group looked at Yujima.

"What he said," Yujima shrugged before heading off towards the city. "I'll go buy some food and maybe rent us a room. When you're done learning from Minaga head to Sunnyday Hotel."
