Neb: The rode beyond the Hunter Exams is a tough one. Yane, Dendo, and Nari are all training hard in such little time to begin their first mission. Nari, is the most eager of all of them to begin her first Black List mission. Yane, while stubborn understands that after Minaga finishes training her she will owe him for the time being. Dendo is the wild card of the bunch having already learned how to transform his Nen. Still he is far from the same level of Minaga, but that will just make him more excited about improving himself. I do not own Hunter X Hunter.
"Killer," Mochimaya spoke up.
"Killer," Yuni grinned through the darkness.
"KILLER!", Zata screamed angrily.
Minaga awoke in a cold sweat panting. His wind sword was drawn as he glared around himself. He saw several trees had crashed around him as he had released his weapon.
"What the hell was that?", Yane yelled as she and her fellow disciples stared at Minaga.
"Forget about it," Minaga mumbled. "Time to continue your training." He got up and headed towards his disciples. "Start releasing your Ren. If none of you can hold it for at least three hours, our training ends.
The three of them groaned and then stood up and got in their stances. They begun releasing their aura again. This time round they were very surprised with their results. They each lasted five hours releasing their Nen.
"Good," Minaga nodded. "The three of you have much more potential then yesterday. Now that your Nen is stronger using Ren, show me your Ten.
They each did their best trying to contain their aura. Nari was the first to show perfect results of controlling her aura. In fact, she didn't just controlled her aura with Ten she contained it within her body using Zetsu. This of coursed ticked Dendo off because she was a child showing better skill then the two adults. Minaga moved to one on one training with Nari while the other two practiced their Ten.
"Now hide your aura," Minaga spoke up. "Relax your muscles, don't overthink it, and ignore your feelings. To master In, you must become nothing."
Nari did as she was told and after an hour she had completely hidden her aura. Around the same time Dendo and Yane became better at controlling Ten.
The three of them had spent all of the last night practicing Shu after seeing Minaga's previous demonstration. After learning to control their Ren through Ten they learned Shu a lot easier. Minaga created a wind sword that was less visible then his usual wind swords. He called it the gentle breeze sword, meant to be an invisible weapon that didn't cover as much distance or contain as much power as his usual swords. It however was a better fit for an assassin.
"Next is Gyo," Minaga spoke up. "I want you to project your Ren around your eyes. It has the same principles as Shu, but is meant to enhance your senses."
The three of them worked on their Gyo. Five more hours had passed before Yane, Dendo, and Nari were now projecting their Nen around their eyes.
"Excellent," Minaga nodded. "Nari, go take a break. The rest of you, will try and contain your aura inside your body."
It was midnight by the time Dendo and Yane caught up to where Nari left off and the two of them had collapsed from exhaustion.
Minaga sat by a fire he made next to Nari as the other two slept.
"Sensei," Nari spoke up.
"Don't call me that," Minaga growled under his breath. "I am only training you three for the time being, my only pupil is Yujima."
"Forgive me sir," Nari apologized as she lowered her head. "I was just wondering why you cleared away those trees yesterday morning? It was like you lost control of yourself."
Minaga looked inward after that question. He could still hear the three people he killed calling him killer. He shook his head and then glared at Nari who glared back. Despite being a child, she showed no fear. She and Mabo were the only two kids in the Hunter Exam, yet they were like night and day. Mabo was timid and relied on others two much. This was why he could not pass and become a hunter like he dreamed of. But Nari... Nari was strong willed and independent.
"When you've become a black list hunter," Minaga began. "You will understand." He stood up and urged her to follow. "I have some exclusive training for you. Since your so eager to be my pupil."
She smiled and then stood up and followed him. The two of them headed deep in the woods and then Minaga turned around. "You've learned to contain your aura, hide it, and use it on your eyes and on objects. What I'm going to teach you is a way to move it into your hands and legs. The more you focus it to a part of your body, the more exposed the rest of your body will be. However, the stronger that part of your body will be. Use Gyo."
She did as she was told and saw his aura was now projecting off of his right hand. He Reached for a nearby tree and tipped it over with his right hand.
"That's incredible," she admitted.
"That's Agro's specialty," Minaga explained. "He is an enhancer which gives him an advantage when it comes to controlling his aura. He can use Ko and Ryu with ease. His type of Nen is right next to emitter on the scale also. So I imagine after he learned all he could with enhancing, he learned how to project his aura and use it to protect others. Practice Ko and then I will teach you Ryu."
She did as instructed, constantly punching at a nearby tree while using Ko. As she did so, she became drenched in sweat from using up so much energy. Minaga suspected she'd pass out from exhaustion just like Dendo and Yane, yet for some reason she was able to keep going. As half the night went by and she continued her training, Minaga thought something was off by how much power she was able to produce in her strikes despite being exhausted. He used Gyo to get a better look at her training. His eyes widened when he saw instead of sweat coming out of her, pure Nen was flowing from her body and reentering. Her brown eyes radiated with a purple energy.
"Is this her Nen ability?", Minaga wondered. "She is a specialist, so her power would be anything that doesn't connect with any other Nen type. Her power allows her to sweat out Nen and then reabsorb it giving her unlimited energy. But how did she trigger such an abillity?" He remembered the first day of training where Nari would collapse before Dendo and Yane would. She was much weaker then the two of them. Not a surprise given how much strength the Amazon and the muscular man possessed. Yet now, she was outlasting the two of them. "Kids have an easier time picking up Nen traits," Minaga figured. He remembered when he was a child, he practiced Nen every day by spying on someone else lessons. His natural gift of visual learning had placed him at a high enough level that fellow hunters had begged to learn from him. Nari however, may be even more of a prodigy then he could ever hope to be. In such short time she's learned to master abilities that Dendo and Yane couldn't even hope to dream about. "That's enough," Minaga decided. "Go rest up. We'll begin again in six hours when everyone else is awake.
"But I can still do this," she groaned. "Why can't I control my Ko, like you can?"
"I gave you an order," Minaga growled and her eyes turned to him. He saw that they were no longer glowing purple, but instead completely purple in shade. Her eyes turned back to their brown color after she calmed down and she nodded. "If this is a power a specialist can bring, then I need to step it up if my fathers murder happens to have an ability just as crazy."
