Neb: I do not own Hunter X Hunter. The rode of achieving true strength is a tough one, but one that is necessary to becoming a Hunter.

Minaga headed down the street. It had been several hours since he had split up from the group. Even with gyo, he wasn't getting anywhere with finding their target. Minaga sighed and then sat down at a bench. He tried to keep his eyes off the roof tops, because if Yujima happened to be on one of them, he didn't want to give his sniper friend's position away. Minaga pulled out his phone and texted Dendo.

"Any luck with the search?"

"Nothing yet," Dendo responded.

It was obvious just looking around the city and checking everyone's faces wasn't going to get them any further then it did the other assassins and mercs. They needed a strategy beyond looking for Nen.

"Well this is a surprise," a blonde woman spoke up.

Minaga turned his head to see a familiar face from the Hunter Exam. The police woman, Arabi Suzu. She had her two pistols still strapped to her side. She was a good fighter, as she was able to keep up with the Boxer Bonjiro, and she was friends with Nari. "Small world," Minaga admitted as he kept his eyes trained on her guns.

"Oh don't be dramatic," Suzu chuckled. "I'm not here to arrest you. But I must ask, what brings a big time hunter like you to this city."

"What's it to you?", Minaga growled under his breath.

"Not one for manners I see," Suzu scowled. "Listen buddy, I am a high ranked Detective in this city and as you remember a Crime Hunter. It is my job to protect the peace here."

"And what does that have to do with me?"

"Are you stupid? We know everything about each other. Remember the test Aki presented to us. We had to answer honestly or else we'd fail and move to a seperate test. You are an age twenty one year old young man who isn't afraid to go down a path of blood. In fact you are drawn to it by curiosity. Unfortunately, you refused to answer the questions of why you wanted to be a hunter and what you planned on doing after you got your liscense. Not that the information mattered. Because during the Exam you killed not one, but two people interested in becoming a Hunter."

Minaga grunted. She learned too much about him and Yujima during the Hunter Exam. This lady may of become the biggest threat to their mission."

"I'm going to ask again? Why are you in this city?"

"Lie... Lie!" Minaga glared daggers back at her and then nodded. "I did not go to the Hunter Exam with the intent to kill random participants. If I didn't, the two of them would have killed me. I am in this city as a Contract Hunter. So I am looking for Jobs."

"I see, so it's business," Suzu nodded. "Still, you are a talented fighter and killer. Did you..."

"Come in Detective Suzu," a voice on her raidio spoke up.

"Go ahead," she responded into it.

"There's been an attack in the Subway station. All officers are to report there immediately."

"Copy," she concluded. "Your coming with me."

"Why?"

"Because you could have been the one who caused the situation," Suzu pointed out. "You are a suspect."

Minaga grunted, but decided that fighting her would bring unwanted attention to himself. He followed her to her car and they drove to the Subway station.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Nari and Dendo headed down towards a park. They weren't really sure what to do when it came to locating this man.

"This work seems arbitrary," Dendo admitted. "Neither of us trained in finding missing people."

"It's true," Nari admitted. "Minaga only understands combat, so he trained us to fight."

"So the what is it we plan on doing?", Dendo wondered. "What skills do we have that will help us find the man?"

Nari thought for a moment and then nodded. "I'll pretend to be the child of the missing person," Nari decided. "We keep asking around until someone helps me find him."

"That seems like a good plan," Dendo grinned.

Nari shook her head and he frowned at her. "I appreciate the encouragement, but it is only a plan. Afterall, others are looking for Alestor Crone also, so if they believe I am his child."

"Then they will come after you," Dendo facepalmed. "I get it, but still I could fight them off if they come after you."

"That my friend is the very reason it is a bad plan," Nari wagged her finger. "Our employer will take a chunk out of the Silent Wind Assassins Pay everytime we do something that prevents the other groups from finding our target. That includes fighting them."

"That is where you are wrong," Dendo grinned. "First off, we are unpayed interns so it will only reflect on Minaga and Yujima who infact decided to split the group up anyways. Secondly, if that is only if we actively seek out the other groups and attack them to lower our competition. Fighting isn't off the table if it is self-defense. Thirdly if decide not to refer to ourselves as Silent Wind Assassins, then the employer has no reason to blame our group either, because as far as they know Minaga and Yujima are the only assassins in the group."

"You make a fair point," Nari admitted. "So is this the plan we will go with then?"

"It's the only one we got," Dendo shrugged. "Besides, it's not like there are a lit of options. I'll fallow you and use Gyo, you start asking people where Alestor Crone is."
