Neb: I am back, and I do not own Hunter x Hunter. Let us continue the story. Yane was charged with protecting Yujima and got into a fight with Minaga's brother. Minaga's brother works with a rival mercenary group, that could cause problems for them. Minaga had been apprehended and taken away by Suzu who has returned from the Hunter exam as a Crime Hunter. Meanwhile Dendo and Nari were out looking for clues of their own. Can the Silent Wind Assassins complete this contract before the Zoldyck Family and the Red Diamond Knights take the prize. Let us find out, I hope you enjoy the story.

Detective Suzu and Minaga headed down a subway station staircase as they approached a crime scene. The two of them grunted when they saw a young blonde girl laying on the ground dead with a needle sticking out of her neck.

Minaga's first move was to use Gyo to check the needle for traces of Nen. Surely enough, the needle was covered in it. "This isn't good, one of the rival groups must have done this."

"Who would do this?", Suzu wondered. "I already know you don't fight like this."

"Then I'm free to go," Minaga wondered.

"Not by a long shot," Suzu shook her head. "You are staying with me until I get honest answers from you."

"Tch," Minaga responded angrily before turning away. "He couldn't leave the scene without drawing attention to himself, so he might as well learn as much as he could. This mission was dumb, they were hunting down a father of two girls and for what? A simple paycheck? Why did Yujima even want to be an assassin. To be fair, as a sniper who already had killed someone, Yujima would make a good one. Not that Minaga was much better, given he had killed a few people himself. They were already down two targets, the old man and the woman with the umbrella was defeated, so his only targets left were the two men that entered his father's workshop and the star pupil. Given that the old man and the umbrella woman had both explained that they had nothing to do with his father's death, it was unlikely that the Star Pupil had done anything. Unless if she could sense Nen like Minaga could, and could sense the Nen of his father. Maybe she thought he was a fighter instead of a blacksmith. Minaga shook his head to get out of the speculation. He never second guessed himself before, so why now? Why was he in deep thought about guilty or innocence. The objective was to find the remaining three nen users and interrogate them. It wasn't his fault that the other two decided to fight him. The only reason Minaga and Yujima went for the quick kill was because the difference in experience put the Old man and the Umbrella woman at a relative advantage.

"Minaga," Suzu spoke up. "Is there anybody from your line of work that uses needles?"

"What do you mean my line of work?", Minaga wondered.

"You said your a contract hunter looking for work," she pointed out. "But the specific work you kept to yourself for a reason, I think you might be a hired gun."

"Are you going to arrest me?"

"Not at this moment, but I encourage you to stick around so I don't in the future."

"Annoying," Minaga thought as he glared daggers at her. She maintained eye contact unafraid. She had to be, the group of friends she selected in the Hunter Exam were two kids, meaning she wanted to protect them and pass at the same time. She wasn't worried about others weighing her down. To be honest, that was a trait that belonged to her and only her. Even Minaga tried to ditch Yujima after they took out the old dojo master.

"Answer me."

"I suspect that this girl was taken out by an assassin," Minaga nodded. "Though, I think you've misjudged my line of work." That was a lie, he was good at lying. As a transmuter it was second nature to him. "She probably was tortured for information and then he broke her neck and tossed her down the stairs when he was done with her. That's my guess anyways."

"Barbaric, but I think your right," Suzu nodded as she inspected the body's bruises.

"I can't complete my mission with miss cop on my tail," Minaga admitted to himself. "But not much I can do about it either. I'll have to follow her until she finds the needle user. Hopefully the needle user will lead me to my target. Then I'll have to just remove everyone in sight. I don't want to kill her, but she's in my way."

"Alright," Suzu decided. "I'll get a forensics expert on scene. In the meantime, I don't think the killer could have gotten to far, he's probably in the city. So Mr. Contracter, do you want to help me catch an assassin?" She smiled at him confidently, which only made his eyebrow twitch.

"So annoying."
