Jordan- 2
Little Jordan Voight was now two and the apple of her father and brother's eyes. Since turning two, not only had the terrible twos set in but she was becoming a little sneaky like a ninja.
One morning after Hank had gone to work, Justin had been on babysitting duty with his sister. When the older father had left both his kids had still been sleeping. Jordan woke up and rubbed her eyes picking up her stuffed rabbit she toddled out of her room, since transitioning to a toddler bed it had given her easy access to leave her room without climbing out of her old pesky crib.
She went to her father's room and saw he was gone, she pouted and tears pooled in her eyes as she had gone to her brother's room. Justin sprawled out across his bed, his arm covering his eyes. The toddler had walked in going to his bed, she grabbed his blanket and started climbing up. She had finally reached the top and climbed onto her brother till she sat on his stomach.
When Justin felt something on him he stirred, it was weight. A lot. He peeked an eye open to see his baby sister sitting on his stomach holding her stuffed animal. He figured if she was in his room their father had gone to work for the day.
"Good morning Jo Jo" Justin says.
"Good morning" The toddler spoke with a smile.
"You hungry?"
She nodded, making her brown hair fly. When he moved her he had felt her pull up heavy, Hank had still been potty training. Some days were good, some were a nightmare. At the moment Jordan had been convinced that the toilet would eat her.
"Let's get you changed and then get some food in this belly" He tickled her stomach.
The toddler giggled. "Justie that tickles"
He picked her up and carried her to her room, holding her in one arm he grabbed a Minnie Mouse pull up along with a set of clothes.
"Time to change the baby mouse" He did a singing voice, making her giggle more.
He changed her out of the pajamas she wore and took the pull up off and tossed it in the trash bin, He cleaned the urine and a little bit of poop off her thankfully it wasn't a lot. He put the fresh pull up on her then grabbed the outfit, it consisted of a pink Minnie Mouse shirt and pants he took her silky brown hair and put it in a small but decent ponytail.
"Such a pretty girl" Justin kissed her head.
He set her down as she walked out the room with her bunny and her brother behind her. When Justin got downstairs he saw his baby sister playing on the floor with her bunny. He picked her up, tickling her stomach making her laugh and squeal.
"Whatcha want for breakfast kiddo"
"Waffles!"
"Waffles it is. You want juice or milk"
"Milk. Choco milk"
He chuckled. "Choco milk it is. You go play while I make it"
The toddler had gone to play with what toys she had in the living room while her brother made her food. Justin had a quick call as he made the food. His father had suggested taking Jordan out while it was sunny. He wanted his daughter to get lots of fresh air and not be cooped up in the house all day.
The weather had called for severe thunderstorms later that day and Hank knew his daughter could get hyper like most toddlers. She'd always fight about going to sleep, if she burns what energy she'd have throughout the day she wouldn't put up that much of a fight about it.
"Jo Jo, come and eat kiddo!" He called his sister.
She ran into the kitchen, he swept her up and kissed her cheek. He set her in the high chair and put her small plate and a sippy cup in front of her. He ate his place as he ate, Jordan had eaten some of her food before dumping the plate of waffles over her head getting the waffle pieces and syrup all over her. She worked on getting the top off her sippy cup and dumped the chocolate milk on her. The toddler giggled as sticky syrup and chocolate milk dripped from her once silky brown hair.
"Look Justie, I'm pretty"
The elder man looked at his baby sister and his face fell seeing her. "Jo Jo, what did you do"
"I'm pretty"
"Now you need a bath and clean clothes before we go out to the park"
"Park! Park!"
"Bath first shorty"
He threw the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the highchair tray in the sink and wiped it. Once that had been done he picked up his sister carefully to avoid getting milk and syrup on himself. He rushed up the steps going to the bathroom. He left his sister in the bathroom while he grabbed her some clean clothes.
Jordan started to play with the toilet paper that was on the roll, she hit the roll making the toilet paper come down. She began pulling it and wrapping herself in it the syrup sticking to the thin paper. The toddler was in a fit of giggles as she was wrapped completely in toilet paper.
She started to climb on the toilet and reach on the cabinet for the large tube of toothpaste, she reached and reached till she grabbed it working off the already loose top she began squeezing it out of the tube. She covered some of the toilet, the toilet paper that she had been wrapped in and the edge of the bathtub. Her small hands covered in it, she clapped making it spread on her hands making them smell like mint.
Justin had gone back to the bathroom with a fresh set of clothes and a pull up just as he was about to say something when he walked in, his mouth dropped. Not only had his baby sister been wrapped and covered in toilet paper. She had gotten a hold of the toothpaste and got it all over herself and some parts of the bathroom.
"I didn't leave you alone very long" his voice held some disbelief.
"Pretty" She giggled.
"Dad's not gonna like this"
He started to peel the paper off her and throw it away. Once he managed to get all the paper off her he took the dirty clothes she was wearing off and tossed them to the side he set his sister in the tub and turned the warm water on and started with her hair.
About 10 minutes in, Justin was soaked and covered in bubbles from the soap, Jordan was in another fit of giggles seeing her brother. The elder man looked at her with a playful smile.
"You think that's funny kiddo?"
She giggled, nodding her head. Justin then got her out and dried her from the soapy water. He put another pull up on her then put the fresh clothes on. It was a blue Cookie Monster shirt with red jeans and white sneakers. Her silky brown hair was now in pigtails. After grabbing a dry shirt and making sure his sister stayed within his sights he changed and then went and picked her up. Heading to her room he grabbed the bag his father kept when they had to go out.
He grabbed a handful of pull ups, some wipes, extra clothes, one of her stuffed animals. He threw the pink bag over his free shoulder and went downstairs. He went and made some sippy cups of water and juice and some snacks. After the bag was fully packed up he zipped it and then grabbed the stroller from the closet should he need it.
Justin brought it all out to his car, thankfully his father had gotten an extra car seat. He put his sister in and strapped her in and gave her her stuffed rabbit. The toddler held the
Stuffed toy close as her brother finished putting everything in the car. The bag went right beside his sister and the stroller in the trunk.
As he was finishing his phone rang as he went around to the driver side and got in, he turned the car over. He ignored the first call and it rang again. He sighed looking back at his sister.
"One second Jo Jo"
The toddler nodded and went back to playing. Justin had gotten out of the car, he never dealt with business around his sister. He didn't go too far but he managed to keep an eye on the car. Without realizing it he turned his back as he began yelling into the phone.
As Justin was distracted on the phone someone came walking and saw the key in the ignition the guy got in and drove off. Hearing a car peel out Justin turned and saw that someone had taken off in his car- with his baby sister in the back.
"No! Jo Jo! Jordan!" He chased off after the car trying to keep up with it.
His legs and lungs burned as he ran, working overtime as he tried to catch up to the car but it sped away and Justin stopped completely out of breath gasping for air. Trying to return the air back to his fumbled, getting his phone out his pocket and calling someone.
"I need your help"
Meanwhile
The guy, Cameron or Cam, sped down the streets not paying attention and realizing the toddler in the back seat. Jordan reached in the bag and grabbed a sippy cup of apple juice when she drank some it had given her some gas as she let out a small burp.
That had made Cam turn and see the toddler. "What the hell"
Jordan tilted her head at this man. "You not Justie"
Cam had to turn back facing the road so he wouldn't crash the car. Unknown to him he had taken the most feared Detective's daughter. Jordan was scared and upset not knowing where her brother was. Soon the toddler was crying and wailing.
"Daddy! Daddy! Justie! Justie!"
Cam groaned, crying drove him insane and when Jordan cried she wailed and screamed at the top of her lungs loudly. Hank had always said his daughter was born with a good set of lungs on her. He pulled over and turned around and pulled out dollar bills from his pocket.
"Kid, here. It's yours if you stop the crying and screaming"
Jordan stopped, her little lip quivered salty tears falling from her eyes as she looked at him. She saw the green dollar bills in his hand, undoing the buckle on her car seat she reached forward and grabbed it.
"Good job kid"
As his hand was still out her mouth attached to his hand as she bit down on it hard, drool coming out as she kept a hold of her hand in his mouth like a puppy biting a chew toy.
"Owww! Get off you little brat!"
He pushed her back as she hit the seat he inspected his hand where she had bit him. The toddler had bit down so hard it left marks in his skin with drool around it. He muttered under his breath. Jordan then took this chance to look in the diaper bag and she found one of the sippy cups full of apple juice. Justin had been in a rush and hadn't tightened the top on the cup.
Climbing up on the seat she faced the driver seat where Cam was, she opened the sippy cup and poured the apple juice on his head. Cam suddenly felt something cold and looked like a golden color dripping down on him. Taking the same sippy cup, Jordan started banging it against Cam's wet head.
"Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad" She banged the plastic cup against his head.
"Ow will you stop?!"
"Bad. Bad. Bad"
She then plopped down and reached in grabbing a container of cheerios, popping the top off easily. She stood back up and leaned over dumping the dry cereal pieces on him. Cam narrowed his eyes in annoyance. Jordan bursted into a fit of giggles seeing him that way.
"Yeah yeah very funny kid"
Jordan suddenly had to stop for a moment, her stomach made a loud gurgling noise and her face scrunched up. Cam looked back at her.
"Now what's your problem?"
"Potty"
"Ain't no bath- oh no. Kid don't tell me"
She moved around on the seat after a few minutes there had been a foul odor in the air and Jordan was whimpering. Cam smelt it and grabbed his nose.
"Geez kid, the hell did you eat? That stinks to high hell"
Soon the two-year-old had stopped moving as she was finished, she sat in the now soiled diaper and kicked her shoes off as she started to undo her pants. When the red pants came off they had dark stains and streaks of poop in them, after she took the pants off her pull up was heavy as the urine and poo weighed it down she worked it off.
The smell was awful and it lingered everywhere smelling up the whole car. Cam tried to work rolling the window down to air out the foul smell. Jordan climbed on the middle console to get to the front, the pull up barely hanging on until she stood on the console and tore the stinky object off her and with a small hand she held it. The dark brown liquid diarrhea dripped.
Cam saw her with wide eyes. "Kid, don't you dare. Don't do it"
With a grin she tossed it, the fresh diarrhea now covered Cam's face and hair. Jordan smiled and giggled clapping. She then bounced in his lap getting it all over his pants and clothes. All the movements the toddler had done, didn't do well with her stomach. She vomited a little on his shirt.
"It's official. I hate kids"
Justin had been going out of his mind looking for his sister, so he called Erin to help him. She was going crazy but at the same time trying to keep him from going completely insane.
"I shouldn't have left her alone Erin, if anything happens to her dad will kill me" Justin rambled.
"Justin, I need you to relax. Please. Just calm down. We will find her" Erin assured him, it sounded as if she was trying to assure them both.
"I looked away for a second. A second"
"I promise you we will find her. Have you called your dad?"
He stayed quiet. He couldn't let his father find out. Hank would raise all kinds of hell then tear the city apart to look for her.
"You haven't told your father?"
"And risk him tearing the city apart and blowing up? No way in hell"
"Justin he needs to know, Jordan can be in a lot of danger"
Before Justin could speak they heard a loud noise. Like an alarm. Justin recognized it.
"That's my car alarm, they didn't get far"
Without hesitation Erin pressed down on the gas speeding down the street lights and sirens blaring. They arrived where the car alarm was going off. Without wasting a second Justin ran over, Erin pulled her gun as she ran over.
Practically ripping the driver door open Justin saw his baby sitting in some strange man's lap playing with the car horn and steering wheel. The toddler looked up smiling seeing her brother raising her arms to him.
"Justie. You back"
Without hesitation he picked her up and held her but had been careful of her soiled back side. "My little Jo Jo. Are you alright?"
"I ok"
He kissed her head and saw something in her hand. "Whatcha got munchkin?"
Jordan held out Cam's wallet she grabbed from his pocket. "Mine"
"What the? Kid give me my wallet back!" Cam shouted.
"Shut your mouth," Erin snapped. When she saw him, she tried to keep a smile off her face but covered her nose from the smell. "You're under arrest for carjacking and kidnapping"
"Dude you smell like a dumpster" Justin commented.
"It's from her," Cam pointed to the toddler.
Erin grabbed him and pulled him from the car, Justin looked at his sister with a smile.
"Looks like you got him good kiddo"
"I got him" She smiled.
"Let's get you home and cleaned up. And you're never leaving my sight"
Erin arrested Cam, Justin cleaned up his sister and put a new pull up on her along with new pants. He buckled her back in the car seat. He cleaned what he could off of the seat and just laid down a towel until he could fully clean it.
During the drive home, Jordan had fallen asleep holding her stuffed rabbit close. Just as the elder Voight was pulling up to his house the once white clouds were dark. A thunderstorm was rolling in quickly. Justin grabbed the diaper bag and his sister. He saw the money on the floor and swiped it. Soon the rain came down he then rushed inside, careful not to trip or wake his sister.
Hank heard the front door open and saw his children come in. He went over and took his sleeping little girl from his son.
"Pop, I thought you were at work," Justin spoke.
"Got off early, wanted to see you guys" Hank replied, hoisting his little girl up. "How was the park?"
"It was good. Jo Jo wore herself out"
"I'll take her so she can nap a little while"
"I'll pull something out for dinner"
"Then we'll talk about your car getting taken with Jo in the back seat"
"Wha...How did you..How did you know?"
He turned holding his daughter. "One, I'm your father. I know all. Two, I'm a Detective. Nothing gets past me"
"You gotta teach me your trick"
The older man chuckled. "Get back to me when you have a couple kids. I'll tell you all my secrets"
That made Justin chuckle. "You're on pop"
Hank chuckled and took his daughter upstairs to lay her down while Justin went to the kitchen. Not knowing where his sister was in that short amount of time tore into him hard but knowing she was safe and alive was all he needed to know to reassure him. And know this would never happen again.
