Kim scorned the stupid music playing in the dorm's hallway. She had an important mid-term coming up in a few days and the music had been blaring for what felt like an hour.

She sighed and then remembered she had an iPod beside her. Maybe she could play some of her music to block it out. So she put in her earbuds. She had a whole list of classical music that Wade had helped her download before; so she put it on shuffle.

Gymnopedie No.1 started to play.

Now, where was she? Oh yeah, polynomials and monomials. Right.

As she solved (with a lot of mistakes) multiple algebra practice questions; the relaxing music started to feel more sad and melancholic.

As exciting as orientation and having your dorm was, she couldn't help but miss her old friends and family in Middleton.

Although she has already made plans for new friends by joining a sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. She still had yet to get the interview for initiation.

Maybe it was a good thing she decided not to go to the Middleton Institute of Science and Technology(M.I.S.T) because she had already had enough of all the hoops she had had to jump through just to end up here.

Nothing comes easy but practice makes perfect.

OMG! She erased her mistake. She couldn't believe she had forgotten about the order of operations.

"I am going to get a B in this class! ," she told herself.

Or so she thought

"HEY KP!" She leaped back from her chair, nearly tripping over herself as she stared in disbelief.

Ron Stoppable had a giant megaphone in his hand.

Or she was going to get an F?

"Hey, what's got you so tweaked, Kim?

"Ugh, nothing." Math homework, orientation, applications, background checks…

"Awesome! You need to come party with us next door!

"Us?"

"Oh, yeah I wanted to tell you all about Alpha Pie Alpha!" He smiled

"Alpha Phi Alpha? Isn't that the all African-American Frat? She remembered reading in the club's brochure.

"Uhh, open to all races, KP. And yeah I totally just got accepted in!"

"Wow, that was quick " If this were anyone else she'd feel a little jealous but it was Ron; there was always a catch.

"Quick? Ha, all I had to do was to show up, Ron-Style, and they accepted me right away!" Ron bragged.

"Oh, yeah, totally Ron", she crossed her arms.

"COME ONWARD !" Ron shouted into the megaphone and then gestured her towards the door.

She looked at her alarm clock, 8:30 pm, she had been doing homework nearly all day.

She's gonna beat herself up about this later, especially if she doesn't get that A. But she wanted to check in on Ron.

"Okay, okay! just stop using that thing!" If she gets in trouble for any noise complaint…

"GOTCHA" The megaphone blared

Ron pulled down his megaphone and flashed her a wide cheeky grin.

She turned her head

"Ugh" " she groaned as she felt heat rise in her face and then planted her hand across her face in embarrassment

Here lately that smile had been making her feel nervous.

She was feeling a little annoyed by all the fun he was having being a total idiot

They roamed down the narrow hallway, the lights were dim but she quickly and closely followed Ron as they closed in on the door with the loud music.

She could feel her heartbeat race till it matched the thumping of the music.

She looked at Ron who started knocking on the door.

"Can they even hear us?" she spoke

"Yep, Sure can"

Kim wasn't too sure about this. So she started heading to knock on the door but Ron held out his arm, blocking her.

She was getting frustrated with just how big-headed Ron had gotten since they'd arrived.

"Hey! They so didn't hear us, knock again!" Kim rolled her eyes.

Ron gave her a smirk, "Shh, patience is a virtue Kim" She knew he was testing her then.

She was an atheist, even despite her father's presence in the church, while he leaned into his Jewish heritage on his father's side.

"So is-" she was about to lecture him on not even following kosher but then the door had opened.

"Monique? " Kim had been speaking to Monique through MySpace but she didn't think she would be here.

"Kim, OMG girl you got accepted into ISU too? Why didn't u tell?

Kim was so excited she didn't even notice that they had started hugging. She glanced back at Ron who smiled at Monique.

"I'm sorry Monique, I just got busy with all the paperwork, loans and moving I forgot!"

"Girl, relax. I forgot to post too, it's no big" Monique softly smiled

"No big" Kim repeated back with a smile.

Kim let herself out of the hug and looked over Monique's shoulder at the surprisingly large crowd of people.

"Big? Kim, you got to check out the big stereo sound system they got back there!" Ron gleamed.

"Oh, I think my ears had checked it enough already" She didn't know what the song was or who the singer was but it sounded auto-tuned.

I'm going to take my time

Ugh, this was so not her scene.

Yet, Ron carelessly yoinked her into the dark crowd of unfamiliar people by her arm.

She gon' get hers before I

She saw a few couples in the crowd too, they were all dancing sensually on each other with wide grins.

Kim blushed. She knew Ron liked parties but didn't know what this was. She thought parties were where people read scandalous magazines, drank espresso martinis, and listened to Britney Spears while talking gossip.

But then again, those parties had never had men.

I'm gonna take it slow

She looked over at Ron again. Checking to make sure he didn't suddenly change.

Then she remembered that he was still holding onto her arm.

Ron also looking into her eyes, broke the contact, and her arm took it as a loss.

I'm not gonna rush the stroke

She wanted to frown but hid it.

"Hey was that the stereo you were talking about Ron?" She faked a smile and pointed at the huge stereo sound system.

Ron rubbed his neck, and nearly choked out "Oh, yeah I wanted to tell you…They have a huge collection of CDs with it too! Look Smashmouth!"

She spotted the CD-only band she knew in between Ron's fingers, "Oh, The Boyz! Remember them, Ron?"

So she can get a sensual seduction

Ron devilishly grinned as he put in the CD, "They won't tell the difference ". He threw the other CD out behind his back.

I'm bringin' sexy back(yeah)

Them other boys don't know how to act (yeah)

Wait, that didn't sound like the Oh Boyz at all.

Ron nudged her shoulder "Hey I brought you another something to KP, " he handed her a red solo cup.

I think it's special, what's behind your back (yeah)

She didn't even need to bring it to her nose before she knew it was alcohol.

"Uh, Ron, this is alcohol "

So turn around and I'll pick up the slack (yeah)

Take 'em to the bridge (that's it)

"I Know" Ron glanced around the room

She was about to argue, but then Ron took Rufus out of his backpack.

"Wine!" Rufus exclaimed as he nibbled on some gummies

"Yeah, Rufus was kinda mad when I told him that he couldn't have any of the wine so I got him some of these instead…a little expensive, heh heh"

Rufus mouthed "Worth it" and smiled

"Oh, Wine gummies" Kim smiled as she read the package coming out of his backpack. Ron had always had an interest in bizarre, foreign foods.

Like when he ate crickets, ew. She shuddered.

"Uh, anyways, awesome song though "

Dirty babe (uh-huh)

You see these shackles baby, I'm your slave (uh-huh)

I'll let you whip me if I misbehave (uh-huh)

It's just that no one makes me feel this way (uh-huh)

Kim blushed at the vulgar lyrics so she changed the subject, "Let's just hope Senior Senior Junior won't start ruining this one too."

Rufus nodded in agreement as Ron hesitantly took a drink out of the cup.

His eyes momentarily widened, and he let out a faint hiss as his face puckered up.

Kim was no virgin to alcohol she had had some before while having a sleepover with Monique. They would "borrow" it from Monique's parents' liquor cabinet when they felt like doing something wild.

But Seeing Ron not being able to handle it made her soften a little.

So She quickly took a sip of the blush-colored liquid, it wasn't tart but sweet and strong. She winced.

Ron looked at her and then disappointedly at his cup, "Yeah, definitely not as great as I thought it would be…"

"I like it" Kim admitted

Ron's eyes lit up at her," really?"

Kim took a deep breath in as she leaned towards Ron, "Let's just sneak some back to one of our rooms"

Ron froze.

Rufus started waving his arms in front of his face in a desperate attempt to snap him back into reality.

"Uh, Ron," Kim rolled her eyes, " we're bringing Monique along with us, chill"

What did he think was going to happen?

Ron shook his head and smiled.

"Oh, good 'cause I have a friend here too " he chuckled nervously

Rufus…that was a given.

Then an arm stuck out over the crowd waving, and Ron waved back.

Then a thin hourglass silhouette poked out from the crowd.

It was a girl

A dark-skinned long-haired brunette. Her hair was in long, chunky twists. And she was rocking a baby blue crop top velour tracksuit with Nikes on.

She had distinct bold highlights and the IN makeup on. The shiny, icy eyes and the shimmery lipgloss. They popped with her large chocolate eyes and plump lips

She wore a lot of jewelry, her shiny silver navel piercing stuck out the most.

A stylish girl. Suddenly the outfits she and Monique had on weren't that great. Kim just had her normal gym outfit on, low-cut yoga pants and a crop top workout tank in green, with her mid-length mess of red hair.

Monique, the fashionista, just had a purple cami, light bellbottoms with a hoop belt, and large wedge sandals. Not forgetting her usual choker. She had her hair silk pressed.

Neither of them wore that much makeup besides basic mascara and lipstick. And neither of them had anything pierced either although Kim had thought of getting a navel piercing before.

That never flew with dad and Mom.

Monique walked over and stood right by Kim defensively, both were eyeing the new girl head to toe. As they crossed their arms.

The new girl didn't even as much as glance up at them as she walked straight over to Ron.

"Oh, no she did just not" Kim heard Monique mumble.

But she just did, like they weren't even there.

They both stared at her til Ron finally took notice," Oh, sorry Kim. I meant to tell you about Jasmine earlier"

"Jasmine?"

"Yeah, she and I are sharing a dorm, " Ron told her matter-of-factly.

Kim frowned. She didn't feel too happy about this.

First, he never asked Kim to be his roommate, and secondly, she had been talking to Ron all week and he never spoke a word about a roommate.

Kim had just assumed he had his dorm by himself like her.
