A/N: According to the lovely KagamiPINKAgreste, today is Hedgehog Day, and since I wanted to do a Lukanette fic for Starlight Guardian Indigo, I wrote this.

It was a quiet Sunday in Paris, and Marinette Dupain-Cheng was spending time at home playing Sonic Frontiers on her Nintendo Switch. While not the #1 fan of the Sonic franchise, she enjoyed quite a few of the games, and out of all of the ones she'd played, she felt that this was one of the better ones. At one point, she heard knocking on the hatch that led downstairs.

"I'm coming!"

Marinette paused the game and put the Switch down on her desk, and…

"Hey Marinette!"

"Hey Luka…whoa, what's with the Sonic getup?"

Luka was wearing a Sonic hoodie, blue jeans and red/white shoes that were an exact match for Sonic's, and he was carrying a box with the Sega logo on it.

"Today is National Hedgehog Day," said Luka.

Marinette tilted her head. "Wait…don't you mean Groundhog Day?"

Luka closed the hatch. "True, but even before they used groundhogs to predict the onset of spring, it was really common to use hedgehogs for that purpose."

Marinette smiled. "Oh, how interesting!" Her look turned serious. "So what's in the box?"

"Well, a bunch of us are getting together in the park to celebrate Hedgehog Day by dressing up as Sonic characters, so I bought you a costume so that we could celebrate together!"

Marinette's smile returned, and she clasped her hands to the side of her head. "Awww, you're a sweetie! Which character?"

Luka smiled. "Why not open the box and see for yourself?"

"OK!"

Marinette opened the box, and the first thing she found was a strapless black spandex bodysuit with a pink heart-shaped breastplate, which caused her to tilt her head:

"Um…who am I supposed to be dressing up as?"

"Rouge the Bat! I got this one so we could go out as Sonouge because I really ship them."

Marinette smiled nervously. "OK…I guess I'll try it on. Just…please…let me have some privacy, OK?"

Luka nodded. "OK."

Luka left the room, and Marinette proceeded to strip and put the outfit on. She found that not only did the bodysuit fit comfortably, but the breastplate offered enough support that she didn't need a bra, and it also featured an elastic band with hooks to prevent the outfit from slipping and causing an embarrassing exposure accident. Also included in the package were a pair of white opera gloves with pink cuffs and a pair of white thigh-high high-heel leather boots with pink cuffs and pink heart-shaped steel toecaps. Not only did the boots fit her feet and legs almost as if they were custom-made, but they even had zippers in the back to facilitate putting on and taking off. After putting on the costume, Marinette took some time to admire herself:

"Damn, my ass is bigger than I thought!"

Not only looking good, but feeling free, she undid her pigtails and let her long blunette hair flow free.

"OK, Luka; you can come in now!"

Luka re-entered the room and gasped when he saw Marinette dressed as Rouge:

"Oh my god! Marinette, I…I had no idea your breasts were that big!"

Marinette laughed. "Oh, shut up, you charmer!"

Luka motioned to Marinette. "Come on, let's go!"

"Coming…WHOA!"

Marinette was clumsy enough, but having never worn high heels before, she was plus ultra clumsy, much to Luka's concern:

"Marinette, are you all right!?" He helped her up.

Marinette dusted herself off. "Yeah…I'm just not used to walking in heels."

"It's actually pretty easy: Just plant your heel first, followed by the ball of your foot, take small, controlled steps, keep your knees slightly bent and your toes forward. Posture is important, too."

"OK…heel first…ball of foot…small, controlled steps…knees slightly bent…toes forward…right…here goes…"

Marinette attempted to follow Luka's directions as well as she could, and she managed to do one step successfully…but that was it. That didn't stop her from giving it a few more tries, though. She did get somewhat better, but she still had trouble with it.

"Um…Luka…I think you'd better carry me downstairs lolololololol!"

"OK. We'll practice more on the way."

Luka managed to carry Marinette downstairs, and Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng took notice of her Rouge costume:

"Whoa, Marinette, that's an interesting outfit!" said Tom.

"Why are you dressed like that?" asked Sabine.

"Luka and I are celebrating Hedgehog Day by dressing up as Sonic characters!"

Sabine smiled. "OK, have fun!"

"Eat, drink, and be merry!" said Tom.

Marinette and Luka walked down to the Place des Vosges. Marinette was still having trouble getting used to walking in high heels, but Luka held her hand in case she fell. As they approached the park, however, the clumsy blunette got used to them and even commented positively on them:

"OK, now I can see why women love high heels!"

Luka smiled. "Glad you've gotten used to them! You should wear heels more often!"

Marinette giggled. "Considering how sexy you are, I might just do that!"

Marinette and Luka entered the park, where a bunch of their classmates were dressed as Sonic characters. Almost immediately, they were accosted by Nadja Chamack and her daughter Manon, who were dressed as Vanilla the Rabbit and Cream the Rabbit respectively.

"Hey Marinette, don't be bemused!" said Nadja.

"Nadja Chamack? I didn't know you were into Sonic!"

"Not as much as Manon, but when I heard of Hedgehog Day, I couldn't resist a chance to pass up this scoop!"

"Hey Marinette! Hey Luka!" Manon – who was carrying a plush of Cheese – waved at Marinette and Luka.

"Hey Manon!" Luka and Marinette waved back.

"So what's your guys' favorite Sonic games?" asked Manon.

"Personally, my favorite is Sonic Adventure 2," said Luka. "It had my favorite storyline, and Shadow and Rouge are two of my favorite characters. Some of the levels were extremely tough, though."

Marinette shrugged. "I honestly can't choose! A bunch of them are good!"

"I like Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Heroes!" said Manon.

Luka smiled. "The Sonic Advance games were good. I thought Sonic Heroes was kinda flawed, mainly because of the way you have to earn the Chaos Emeralds to beat the game, though I loved Omega."

"Hey Marinette! Hey Luka!" said a familiar female voice. "Glad you could make it!"

Luka and Marinette looked over to see Ivan Bruel and Mylène Haprèle. Ivan was recognizably dressed as E-123 Omega, but neither Luka nor Marinette recognized whom Mylène was dressed as, her wearing a black midriff-revealing tube top, a voluminous light gray wig, aqua green spandex shorts and blue/aqua/white thigh-high leather boots with black cuffs and black toecaps.

"Mylène, who are you supposed to be?" asked Marinette.

"I'm Venus the Hedgehog."

"Who?" asked Luka.

"She's an OC that someone created on DeviantArt."

Luka smiled. "Nice! I admire people who have the courage to dress up as OCs."

"I didn't get it at first, either, but she looks hot in that costume," said Ivan.

Mylène blushed. "Um…thank you!"

"Anyways, why don't we explore the rest of the party?" said Marinette.

"OK!"

Marinette and Luka walked over to a table where there was food being served, and they grabbed some plates and silverware and served themselves.

"Whoa, Marinette, that's a bitchin' costume!" said Nino Lahiffe, who was dressed up as Espio the Chameleon.

"Thanks, Nino! Love yours too!"

"You're welcome!"

"Hey there, Marinette," said Juleka Couffaine, who was dressed as Blaze the Cat. "Figures you and Luka would go as Sonouge."

Marinette smiled. "It was mostly Luka's idea."

"Hi, Marinette," said Marc Anciel, who was dressed as Silver the Hedgehog.

"Hey Marc, love the Silver costume! You and Juleka look cute together!"

Marc blushed. "Oh…um…thank you."

Juleka giggled. "Marc, you're so cute when you're shy."

"Marinette, Luka, there ya…" Alya Césaire – who was dressed as Sally Acorn in her post-Super Genesis Wave outfit – stopped in her tracks. "Oh no, Marinette, you are lookin' fire!"

Marinette smiled and pointed her index finger at Alya. "Right back at you, Alya!"

Alya laughed. "Oh, you! Seriously, lemme get a pic of you and Luka as Sonouge!"

"OK!"

Marinette and Luka wrapped an arm around each other, and Alya snapped a picture of them. She then approached Marinette.

"What's up?"

Alya whispered to Marinette. "Don't look now, but a certain couple are really into Shadamy!"

Marinette glanced around and found Adrien Agreste – dressed as Shadow the Hedgehog – and Kagami Tsurugi – dressed as Amy Rose – in one corner of the park making out with each other. Marinette and Alya giggled like the teenage girls they were, prompting Luka to ask about it:

"Girls, what's so…"

Luka caught sight of Adrigami making out, too. He shrugged.

"I can never figure those two out. As beautiful as I think my Love Song is, I couldn't get attached to her every five seconds like that."

Everyone had a good laugh. It was sure going to be a party to remember.
