JuanKui: glad you like the story building that I am doing and how I depicted Sasuke and Sakura in this fic. I didn't want to do the trope of Sasuke being a prick and Sakura being a useless banshee. Mizuki will get his

Super heavy weapons guy: glad you like the way I set up the world

Guest 1: glad you like it and we will see who Zelda ends up with

David teague 3950: I beat it but after several tries. The king is still in the air but I will work with the one used.

Psudocode Samurai: Hyrule Warriors was more like a separate dimension that sees the different versions of the hero. I am mixing elements of multiple Zelda games, you'll see a bit of it in this chapter. I didn't want to do the fangirl thing. It got on my nerves sometimes so I chose to cut it out in my fics

Midnight Lost: thanks, glad you liked it. It made sense to me that the academy would accommodate both races so I chose to go with that. I figured that they should be friends since it is easier to have them be friends than be against each other. I'm glad you like the fight I set up, took me some time to think of how they would fight together. As for why the instructors didn't notice, I'm going with the Kishimoto excuse: it doesn't matter. :P. But Mizuki will get his and I look forward to it. For pairing, it is still in the open and the options are very expansive. Look at the bottom author's notes to understand what I mean, AFTER you read the chapter.

Dragon and Sword Master: the idea of half Hylian came to mind when I made the chapter specifically so it was a last-minute addition. And the placement of the locations only made sense to me. And they are very obvious. I will go back and fix up the mistakes. Grammarly can't catch everything and sucks for narratives and story writing

ALL READERS READ, please

Important details in the bottom Authors notes as well as the poll results on which Zelda will be used. As well as some details I plan on doing along with the Pairing question

Chapter 4: visit from the Gerudo

Naruto was pacing back and forth from one side of the main gate to the other.

"Naruto, please stop pacing and wait patiently."

Naruto groaned as he looked at the Hokage who was standing in the middle of the gate. "but we have been standing here for the last forty minutes! Why did you have to call me here so early instead of fifteen minutes ago?" he trudged over to stand by the old man before crossing his arms.

Hiruzen sighed as he looked forward down the road. "Naruto, it is better to be early to an appointed meeting than to be late to it as it gives a better impression to those coming. I had informed them that you would be in attendance at this meeting as you are the one that will be leading our guest through the woods. And do not forget that there is more than just the Gerudo leader coming, we have….."

Naruto slumped as he had heard this before. "I know, Jiji, I know. You want to make a good impression since we hardly ever interact with them due to the distance between us and them. You want to see if you can reestablish friendly contact with Suna and through this meeting, possibly gain one with the Gerudo since we never met them before." He had heard this all before and he didn't need a reminder. When Jiji talked about politics and the like, Naruto would think that the old man and Iruka were trying to win Most boring lecturer in Konoha, and Naruto didn't want to be the judge.

Hiruzen sighed before looking back to the road. "Just please be patient and when they arrive, be on your best behavior." Hiruzen knew that the boy didn't like to wait for things to happen but he also knew that the boy would do his best when asked to do something. Hiruzen was also really glad Naruto agreed to meet sometime before the actual meeting time since it gave him an excuse to get away from the desk and get a break from the dreaded paperwork. 'Though if I had to deal with this much paperwork for village affairs, how does the royal family handle going over the paperwork for all the villages under their rule?'

Naruto didn't know about Hiruzen's inner monologue as he sighed despondently. "Alright. …why couldn't Pervy Sage or Tsunade Baa-chan be here?"

"Jiraiya is in the middle of investigating a matter that had been coming to the attention of the other villages. The royal family had asked all of the villages to keep an eye out for some odd happenings out in the fields and roads. On this request, I had sent Jiraiya out to see if he could find anything. So far, he hasn't reported back yet but I am confident that he will when he has the time. As for Tsunade, she, Dan, and Nawaki are in Clock town at the moment as a friend of theirs is opening a bar and wanted them to be there for its opening."

Naruto looked up at him questioningly. "I thought Dan was trying to get her to quiet, why are they going to a bar?"

Hiruzen chuckled. "It's not a normal bar, it is a milk bar that only members are allowed to enter, as long as they have proof of membership."

Naruto tilted his head as he had never heard of a milk bar before but one thing he had to ask. "How do you prove you're a member? You get a card or something?"

Hiruzen shook his head before looking away to hide his straining smile. He was doing his best as he remembered seeing Nawaki show off the proof of membership before he slipped it onto Tsunade. If it wasn't for the fact that Nawaki was the one to put it on her, he and Dan would have died the second they opened their mouths to laugh at the sight. He would make sure to always remember the sight of a Tsunade doing her best to smile at Nawaki while a vein was close to exploding, while Nawaki smiled at how his sister was wearing the Cow mask.

Naruto saw the old man's shoulders shake and wondered what it was he said that got him to shake. Shrugging as it wasn't really important, he looked down the road and waited for the arrival from Suna. 'wonder if Nawaki would bring back a souvenir from Clock Town. I heard there was a festival happening sometime next year. Maybe I'll get to go there since I'll be a genin by then. Or maybe even a chunin.'

For the next few minutes, the two stood there waiting for the sand group, with Naruto adjusting his scarf til he froze in place. As he was standing sideways, his head shot up, and looked down the road.

Hiruzen didn't notice Naruto's reaction as he had spotted the envoy coming down the road. "Ah, they are here."

Naruto either didn't hear him or didn't care as his eyes went over the members of the envoy.

Three of them seemed to be kids, two boys and one girl, with two looking slightly older than him with the third seeming to be his age.

The female looked to be the oldest.

She had teal eyes and sandy blonde hair, which was put up into four consecutive pigtails. Her outfit consisted of a single light purple-colored, off-the-shoulders garment that extended to halfway down her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist. Under it she wore fishnet over her shoulders and legs, specifically on her right calf and her left thigh, she also wore her black forehead protector around her neck.

The oldest male wore a Bunraku puppeteer's costume; a black, baggy, full bodysuit with a red and yellow circle on the front. It had a black hood that covered his head completely and had cat-like ears and his hitai-ate on his forehead. On his face, he had a purple-colored triangular face-paint design.

The third, and one closest to his age, had fair skin, green eyes, and short auburn hair. He lacked distinctive pupils or eyebrows and he had black rings under his eyes that almost looked like they were painted on. On the left side of his forehead was red kanji for the word "love", and his hair was parted for it to be visible. He wore a black bodysuit with an open neck, t-shirt like sleeves, and almost full-length leggings. He wore a white cloth over his right shoulder and the left side of his hips. Over his left shoulder was a wide leather band that went to his right hip with which he carried a sand gourd. Dangling from the strap was his Hitai-ate

There were also several adults, all of them would be noticeable in Konoha, as they were all females of dark skin and vibrant red hair tied into a high ponytail, each wearing white sultan-like pants that were lined with gold binding, tube tops that covered their breasts and fancily designed fabric over their mouths. The clothing gave the females a sultry look but you can see a sense of serious duty in their eyes.

but three of the adults stood out more.

One of them was clearly the father of one of the kids as he looked like an older version of the one carrying the gourd but there were a few details that showed relation to the other two which made Naruto think they were all related. And the Kage hat he had on his head told him that he was the Kazekage of Suna.

The second most noticeable was clearly the leader of the Gerudo women

She had dark skin and long red hair that had more volume than the other women and had green eyes and blue lips. She wore a multicolored breastplate made of gold with two shoulder guards, A gold belt that supported a black skirt that fell off her right hip and had the Gerudo symbol embroidered on it. For footwear, she wore green high-heels and several gold jewels. She had a Scimitar that was sheathed in an ornamentally designed holster and a round shield holstered to the back of her body. Something of note about her was that even if the other Gerudo women looked to have toned muscles, she was noted to have a slightly taller stature and muscular build.

She was a very beautiful woman that had an aura of friendliness that would make you want to know her but also had an air of confidence that would make any perverted men stay clear. She rode on a horse at a slow pace so that it was in pace with the ones on foot

It was the last one that got Naruto's attention.

It was a man that had hair as red as the Gerudo but his skin was so dark that it looked like it was dark gray. He wore black pauldrons and boots that covered up to above his knees. Over his torso, he was wearing dark leather that had a Gerudo design on the edges. A dark red cape that had Gerudo design on the edge was clipped to his shoulders. The horse he was riding looked like it was pulled out from the abyss and would attack anyone that came near it.

Naruto took an involuntary step back as he did not like the feel this man gave. He was able to steel himself as they got closer but the bored look he had before was now one of seriousness and his gaze never left him.

Once the group was close enough, Hiruzen smiled as he bowed to them. "It is an honor to welcome our esteemed guests to Konoha." he stood up and looked at each of the newcomers. "I pray that your journey here was not too difficult."

Rasa, the Kazekage shook his head as he took off the hat. "With my children here, there would be no trouble that they can't handle." he then began to gesture to each of them. "My eldest, Temari."

Temari bowed in greeting.

"My second, Kankuro."

Kankuro waved nonchalantly before he was smacked upside the head by Temari, forcing him to bow to the Hokage.

"And my youngest, Gaara."

Gaara bowed to the Hokage but showed no change in his stoic visage

Rasa nodded as they greeted the Hokage. "The best Genin my village has ever had in many generations. And have already surpassed many of my jonin."

"You have faith in your children, and their training shows well in how they handled themselves when that group of bandits chose to attack us." came the mature voice of the woman riding the horse as she dismounted. "But do not forget to allow them to have their childhood while they still have it."

Hiruzen looked at her and smiled. "Wise words. I agree that genin should still have their fun times while they can. A pleasure to meet you…"

The woman stood tall while the other women straightened behind her. "I am Urbosa, captain of security and lieutenant to our leader. Who was the one to ask for this audience."

The man riding the dark horse didn't dismount as he moved the horse closer.

Hiruzen looked at the man and bowed. "Ah, so you are the one that wished to speak with the Great Deku Tree. I must be honest, there are less than a handful of people that have ever met the Great Tree so I can only imagine what it might be for."

"It is a matter that must remain secret." spoke the man as he finally dismounted. He turned to Hiruzen and placed a hand on his chest as he bowed. "I am Ganondorf, leader of the Gerudo and I thank you for seeing to this matter."

Hiruzen chuckled as he gestured to the boy standing next to him. "It is Naruto here that will be your guide to The Great Deku Tree. he is the one that mostly frequents that part of the village. Many others dare not enter due to the dangers that dwell within."

The denizens of Suna and Gerudo looked at Naruto, who was doing his best to make eye contact with all of them but kept looking at Ganondorf.

Kankuro snickered as he whispered to himself. "This pipsqueak? Doubt he has the guts to go anywhere dangerous." His comment earned him a slap on the back of his head by his sister as she glared at him.

"Keep your mouth shut. We may be just the escort but we are still representing our village. Do not insult the guy that is fulfilling our neighbor's request."

"Come on, Temari. You gotta admit that he doesn't look like much."

"Kankuro…."

Said boy flinched at the monotone voice of his younger brother. He looked at the redhead and began to sweat.

"Be silent or I will allow Mother to handle you."

Kankuro felt like his heart stopped at that. He looked to Temari for any kind of help but seeing her just cross her arms and looked away, made him want to cry. He harshly whispered out, "traitor." before standing still and behaving himself. 'Why does Gaara have to be the favorite? Mom always takes his side.'

Temari, having an idea as to what her brother might be thinking spoke. "If it weren't for you coaxing Gaara to get that Tatoo on his forehead, she might listen to you more often."

Kankuro could only wince as he only brought up the idea to Gaara casually. He didn't expect his little brother to walk into the house with that tattoo. Their mom had grounded him for two months and took away his puppets while Gaara was pampered afterward.

Urbosa looked at Naruto and had to wonder. 'Why is this Vehvi (1) the one that is able to frequent a meeting with a Great nature spirit?' Despite her questioning, she could tell that the boy was someone she would have no problem speaking with. He seemed nice but her eyes narrowed as she saw him eye her tribe's leader warily. 'Hmm.' She heard questioning comments from the women behind her and raised her hand to silence them. They all did so as they stood up straighter.

Ganondorf looked at the boy and nodded. "I appreciate you being my guide to The Great Deku Tree."

Naruto did his best not to show any sign that he didn't want to be anywhere near the man and he was glad it was working. He bowed in response and gave as polite a response as he could muster. "I'm happy to help."

Hiruzen nodded at the boy's response before he looked at the man. "When were you hoping to meet with the Great Deku Tree?"

Ganondorf looked at the old man and responded. "I would like to meet with them as soon as possible. There are other matters that I wish to get to but I can put them on hold to accommodate for any delays."

Hiruzen looked at Naruto as he asked. "Well, Naruto? Are you able to show him the way now?"

Naruto didn't take his eyes off the man. He didn't have any reason to deny the man so he hesitantly nodded. "Yeah, I can show him the way right now if he wants."

Hiruzen nodded before looking at the two horses. "Well, I can have some of my Anbu take your horses to the Nara compound as they have the facilities to hold them."

Urbosa ran her hand on her horse as she smiled at the man. "It would be much appreciated."

Hiruzen raised his hand to call a few Anbu to appear and they grabbed the reins of the horses. He then looked at the group. "Well, shall we go?"

All of them nodded as they began to make their way to the entrance of the forest of death.

Naruto stayed at the back of the moving group as he eyed the back of the man he was supposed to be guiding.

"If you keep staring at him, he might begin to feel it."

Naruto jumped at the sound of someone talking and looked to his left to see Temari looking at him quizzically. He then noticed that Gaara was to his right and Kankura was next to Gaara. He whispered to them as he didn't want the adults to hear them and was glad that the old man and Kazekage were speaking with Ganondorf while the Gerudo women were in between them and the leaders. "Sorry, I just have a weird feeling about him."

Kankuro looked at him with a tilted head. "Like what. I mean I know the guy gives off these weird vibes but it isn't the worst thing I've seen."

Naruto shook his head. "I don't know, there is just something about him that I don't like." he sighed as even he didn't understand why he was hesitant around him. He looked at the genin around him and smiled. "By the way, I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Nice to meet you." he brought his hand up for a handshake towards the redhead.

Gaara gave a small smile as he shook Naruto's hand. "Likewise. I am Gaara."

Naruto looked at Temari and shook her hand.

"My name is Temari."

Kankuro waved at the blonde. "You already heard my name, but I'm Kankuro."

Temari rolled her eyes at her brother's response but decided to strike up a conversation with the Konoha resident. "So, what's it like meeting with a great being like The Deku Tree?"

Naruto crossed his arms as he thought about it. "Honestly, there isn't that much to say about it. I get why he is called the Great Deku Tree since he is literally a tree that has a lot of magic power but if you ever meet with him, he is like a grandpa that enjoys teaching everyone he meets about something new. He also tells stories about the world as he knows it. In fact, he told me that there is a world that is connected to ours but it is like a flipside to ours. He said that it is connected to our shadows but they could be walking next to you and neither us nor they would know about it."

Kankuro hummed in contemplation. "Sounds like a story I read in one of the old texts. Talking about an artifact that leads to the shadow world."

Gaara looked to his brother and tilted his head. "Are you referring to the lost prison that once held a circular object that ancient beings used to travel between our worlds?"

Temari scoffed as she heard this. "That was just an old legend that had no verifying proof. Just the word of one guy who wrote it down. So many shinobi and archeologists scour every inch of the desert to try and find this prison but no one found a trace of them."

Naruto looked at the three and asked. "Wait, your village has a legend like that? What is it about?"

Kankuro crossed his arms as he spoke. "We shouldn't be telling you any of this anyway."

Temari scoffed. "Kankuro, it isn't a village secret, it's public knowledge. We can tell him if he is interested since it won't be giving anything about how our village works." She smirked down at Naruto. "Allied our villages may be but we like to keep some things to ourselves."

Naruto shrugged. I get it. I know all the shinobi work under the royal family but the villages like to see themselves as separate. I think it is some sort of personal contest to see who is better. I mean, I don't know if this is the same for other villages but, many of the knights that attend our academy are given an offer to join the Royal army or guard and they get the chance to move over towards the castle or given lodgings at one of the buildings used in Castle town to house some of their soldiers."

Kankuro looked at him with a teasing smirk as he asked. "Should you really be telling us that? Sounds like it could be a secret that the village has."

Gaara tilted his head as he asked. "Do we not do the same thing? Many of the knights in training in our previous graduating class took an offer from the Royal family and moved to Castle town."

Temari gave a hearty laugh as she saw the look of befuddled betrayal on Kankuro's face. "You just want to keep everything we do secret but you should know that we were taught what to share and what not to. The only ones that are really separate from the Royal family are the other races. The Goron Tribe, Zora kingdoms, and the Gerudo tribe are the only ones that are separate from the royal family but they have an agreement with them to maintain their individuality but are on friendly terms."

Naruto smiled as he picked up from here. "Yeah, it is why you can see many different races all over the land. And even though a lot of the places are linked to the Hyrule kingdom, they aren't forced to abide by their rule. I mean, the Indigo Go do tours all over the land even though they came from the south Zora Kingdom."

Temari crossed her arms as she was impressed that he knew this. "You know your stuff. A bunch of genin in our village don't know about that but you said that with enough confidence to let me know that you have studied up on this."

Naruto rubbed the back of his head as he sheepishly spoke. "It's one of the things I was interested in the most. And the fact that my best friends are magic users."

Gaara looked at him and asked. "Hylians?"

Naruto shook his head. "No, they live in the Lost Woods."

Temari went wide-eyed. "You're talking about the Korak kids? I heard about them but I always thought it was just a rumor since the most prominent known fact about the Lost Woods is that no one can go in without getting lost. Actually, I wasn't even sure you would be able to get through to the Great Deku Tree on your own. I thought he would just guide you or something."

Naruto shook his head. "I just know how to navigate the woods so I don't get lost. Sure, the first few times I got lost but thanks to a few fairies guiding me, I figured out how to get through. No one else does it though since more people get lost in there and….."

The Suna trio looked confused about why he stopped and looked at him to see a look of fear.

Gaara asked. "What is it?"

Naruto swallowed as he continued. "We know what happens to those that get lost in the Lost Woods. Only because….I saw what happened to them."

Kankuro grew curious and asked, "what happens to them?"

Naruto took a breath. "The adults and some kids…..turn into ….Stalfos or Stalchilds. Living skeletons that attack anyone that come near. I know this because I ran into a few Stalfos and saw that they were still wearing their chunin vests, hitai-ate, and wielding kunai. I couldn't tell who it used to be since it was just a skeleton but I know they were from Konoha based on the symbol on the metal plate."

Kankuro and Temari shivered as Gaara closed his eyes at the thought and they didn't need to think about the Stalchild. They had heard about these monsters and that there is a location in the desert where a good amount of them pop up but they have never run into them and they didn't know where they came from. Some thought that they were made from magic, using the bones of some animal since the head of these monsters looks misshapen, but this gave them a new perspective on these monsters.

Naruto shook his head and chose to change the topic. "So is there anything around Suna that would be worth visiting?"

Temari was the first to get out of her morbid thoughts as she gave a grateful smile at the change. "Well, as you would probably know, there is the Gerudo village and their Gerudo Fortress, though they are separated by a mile or two. There is something odd about the Fortress though. It stands at the very edge of a massive sandstorm that doesn't ever end. Many in Suna think it is similar to the Lost Woods since no one can navigate it but instead of never being seen again, they end up at the gate of the fortress. No matter where they enter the sandstorm, they always end up there, even if they were walking in a straight line."

"Sounds a little like the Lost Woods."

While the kids were having their conversation, which was being heard by some of the Gerudo women as they spoke to each other in hushed tones as they discussed their own thoughts about the similarities, the three leaders and Lieutenant were having their own discussion

Hiruzen looked at the Gerudo denizens as he spoke. "I hope you don't find it too intrusive but I would very much like to know more about the Gerudo tribe. Much of what we know is from word of mouth as we have not had many of our shinobi or knights travel towards your corner of the world."

Ganondorf was focused on the road in front of him but he shifted his gaze to him. Thinking it over, his gaze turned to Urbosa who stood between the two and nodded.

Urbosa chose to speak up as she heard the silent command from her tribe leader. "Despite how many believe that the desert is desolate and void of anything living, it is host to many tropical foods and rich in mineral deposits. The creatures that call it home can be harsh and we have our own monsters that cause problems, we are a thriving community."

Rasa chuckled as he picked up from here. "Yes, common misconception from those who travel to our desert. But once they see the oasis that can be found in many different locations, they change their opinion."

Urbosa smiled at that before she looked up at the sky. "Though for us, it does take some time to get used to the cooler air."

Hiruzen chuckled at that. "I can imagine that we would have similar thoughts if we were to go to your village."

Urbosa gave a wry smile as she looked at him. "Oh, I'm sure but those that live in the village or fortress won't ever find out as we don't allow Voes on our grounds."

Hiruzen raised an eyebrow. "'Voes'?"

Rasa spoke up to clarify. "It is what the Gerudo women call any male. They are a tribe strictly of women and they do not allow any male onto their grounds. They won't even let us shinobi in, so when we need to do business with them, we only send our Kunoichi."

Hiruzen then looked to Ganondorf. "And what of their leader?" he directed this inquiry at the man but either he didn't notice it or did not care.

It was one of the Gerudo women behind them that spoke. "In our tribe, only females are ever born. Yet a long-lasting tradition is that if a male should ever be born from us, he is to become the leader of the Gerudo."

Hiruzen nodded as he now understood a bit more about the way Gerudo lived. "Must be quite the responsibility."

Urbosa looked over to Ganondorf. "He seems to be doing a fine job."

The group continued to walk through the village at a leisurely pace as they discussed other matters.

Urbosa was the one that spoke most to the Hokage as she found the village to be a very peaceful and lovely place.

Hiruzen would switch to speaking with Urbosa and Rasa as the Kage spoke about potential trades and expanding businesses. They even discussed the Chunin exams that would be coming in the next six to eight months.

Rasa tried to get some details about what they might entail so he could better prepare his genin.

Hiruzen though was able to keep it all to himself with a cheeky smile.

The Gerudo women looked around for any trouble they might run into while also discussing if they should travel this far the next time one of them goes out in search of a worthy Voe.

The three genin and academy student moved their conversation away from stories and rumors to training methods,

Naruto was interested in knowing how they fight with the Suna genin telling him their primary weapons.

Temari, being a primary Wind user and is proficient in using her fans

Kankuro, being a puppet user with his puppets being sealed away at the moment

And Gaara was able to mimic his father's gold dust manipulation with the usage of sand.

The group chose to ignore the looks that they got from many of the villagers that looked in their direction

After a few more minutes of walking, they had arrived at the fenced-off area of the Forest of Death.

Urbosa looked from the warning signs to the tall trees. "So this is the infamous Forest of death. I had heard rumors of this forest and the dangerous animals that roam it."

Ganondorf looked intrigued by the forest but since he had something more important to do, he chose to focus on his task. "Urbosa, you and the guards shall remain in the village."

Urbosa looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Do you not think that you will need any of us?"

Ganondorf crossed his arms as he shook his head. "If the boy is able to make his way through the forest with little trouble, there should not be anything in there that will be dangerous."

Urbosa narrowed her eyes at him before she nodded. "Very well."

Rasa spoke up as he eyed his kids. "Perhaps my children can join in this little trip into the forest?"

Hiruzen looked from Naruto to Ganondorf before he looked to Rasa. "One thing I should have informed you all about is that the Great Deku Tree is only allowing Naruto and Ganondorf entree into the forest."

Kankuro clicked his tongue. "Damn, I thought it would be cool to check the Lost woods without getting lost."

Rasa looked at the Hokage for a minute before he gave a resigned sigh. "If you are sure about this, I will not argue the matter."

Hiruzen nodded as he looked at Naruto. "Are you able to guide our guest to the Great Deku Tree?"

Naruto looked from the old man to Ganondorf and nodded. "Yeah, I can take him."

Hiruzen smiled as he patted the boy's shoulder. He then looked at the other guests and spoke. "As we wait for their return, I grant you all permission to explore the village. But please be aware that should one of my Anbu inform you that you should not enter an area, for whatever reason, you must abide by their command." seeing them all nod, he looked to the dark-skinned man. "May I at least inquire how long you think this meeting will take?"

"It should not take more than a few minutes. Though I do not know how long the trip to the meeting place will be…" he looked down at the boy expectantly.

Naruto thought about this before speaking. "It should take about thirty to forty minutes, maybe an hour."

Hiruzen eyed the boy for a minute before nodding. "Very well, I leave this to you, Naruto."

Naruto nodded before looking at Ganondorf. "Ready?" seeing the man nod, he walked through the gate and could tell the man followed him in.

The rest of the group waited till the two were no longer visible before one of them looked at the others

Hiruzen looked at Rasa with a smile. "Rasa, there is something that I wish to discuss with you. It is about the warning the royal family sent to all the villages."

Rasa gave him a grim look and nodded as this was something that he was also hoping to talk about.

Urbosa put a hand on her hip as she turned to the men. "There is something else that I want to discuss with both of you and this is the most opportune time for me to do so." She turned to the other women and spoke. "You have free reign to wander the village and enjoy what it has to offer. Who knows, you might fight the right Voe while you are here." She smirked as she could see the eager look in their eyes

Hiruzen nodded as he gestured for them to follow him.

Rasa looked to his children and gave his stern orders. "You are free to roam the village but you are in no way given permission to do anything that will shame our village. Am I understood?"

"HAI!"

With that, the group split up and went to do their own thing

~Hokage Office~

The three adults made it to the office and Hriuzen sealed the room with silencing seals so that their discussion would not leak out.

Urbosa noticed the light shine that came over the room and nodded. "There is still no magic that allows us to do that."

Hiruzen moved to stand in front of his desk before he faced the other two. "Well, shall we begin this discussion?"

Rasa nodded.

Urbosa crossed her arms under her bust as she spoke. "Of course. But let us start with the Royal family's request as my tribe has also been given the warning."

Hiruzen nodded. "Now, about what they warned us about, we are to keep our eyes out for any oddities that happen in the fields between settlements and dwellings. Now, I have had several of my shinobi go out, around in the forests, and even our neighbors in the Deku kingdom. They have not had any problems though they did mention some odd creatures in their swamp waters. So far they do not have any worries but these creatures are growing in numbers. In the fields, we have seen some Moblins running around. This is something that concerns me since we have not seen many of them since the Red moon invasion that happened 12 years ago."

Rasa nodded. "The deserts are no better. But several of my shinobi have been attacked by some underground monsters that dig in the sand. And there have been reports of something large digging in a far area of the desert. None of my shinobi dares go closer as they are unprepared for what it might be. I would say that it is close to a medium-size summon from one of the great three."

Hiruzen rubbed his chin in thought. "That is concerning. Monster sightings are not uncommon but the frequency of them is growing ever so much."

Urbosa nodded. "My warriors have noted that as well. Our fortress had been attacked by moblins and bokoblins. Not enough to cause any sort of damage but they were never this brave to attack such a place. We even had an attack at one of the small settlements close to the ravine that leads out to the sea."

Rasa nodded as he knew about that attack. "Thankfully, my shinobi stationed there were able to repel them but that post has always been considered a dead zone. No monster attacks there, and the shinobi that are sent to replace the previous rotation tell me that it is like getting a paid vacation."

Hiruzen indeed. "The monsters are becoming more frequent and brasher in their actions. I have not been in contact with the other villages or any of the other tribes but I fear they might be dealing with the same thing."

The room grew silent for a moment before the female of the three spoke up.

"There is something about that I wish to discuss." seeing she had the males' attention, she continued. "The warning given to us by the royal family…..our leader was not the one to receive it."

The two men grew confused but also alert as they could figure out the implications of this.

"Despite how tradition dictates that we are to follow the only male born in our tribe, I find myself conflicted about following Ganondorf. I am an excellent judge of character, and no matter how long I stand in his presence and follow his orders, I feel there is something sinister behind his actions."

Rasa crossed his arms and asked. "And what would be his end goal? What would he even be after?"

Urbosa shook her head. "I do not know, but I can only assume that this meeting can be part of it."

Hiruzen grew stern as he walked in front of the woman. "I have also had reservations with this the moment I saw the man. But this is a request that went through the royal family and I am obligated to see it through. But if he does anything to harm one of the citizens under my care…"

"You need not worry yourself about it. Despite my words, I do not believe he would harm a child. He would see it as meaningless."

Hiruzen glared at the woman before nodding. "Naruto is the son of our late Fourth and many people here will not tolerate an attack on the child of one of our greatest heroes."

Urbosa nodded. "I understand that. I see him as a kind-hearted Vehvi and he was also wary of our leader. He has a good head on him. He reminds me of another Vehvi I know. Even though I have not spoken with him, he has spirit and is a good judge."

Hiruzen nodded. "That he does."

Rasa looked at Hiruzen and asked. "What do you believe will happen during this meeting between Ganondorf and the Great Deku Tree?"

Hiruzen sighed. "I wish I knew. But not even my crystal ball is able to pierce through the veil that covers those woods."

~meanwhile~

The walk to the Great Deku tree was full of tension. Neither of them had said anything as they walked through the woods.

Naruto didn't need to look behind him to know that the man was following him but he still did so every now and then because he didn't trust the man behind him. At one point he wanted to bring up some form of conversation so it wouldn't be so tense but his voice seemed to be stuck in his throat. At first, he was planning on going towards Kokoriko village and then towards the Great Deku tree since it was the most common way he used. But the very idea of having Ganondorf there just brought him dread.

So what he chose to do was go the long way around. Making an arc around the village, making sure that they were distant enough that nothing would be noticed, and towards the meadow where The Deku tree resides.

It was very risky since, if they strayed too far, they both could end up in an area that he had never been in before. But he soon saw that he recognized the trees around them and knew that they were close. Once they made it to the passageway that led to the tree, he thought he would relax, but instead, he felt a pit in his stomach.

The two entered the meadow of the Great Deku Tree

Naruto looked up at the face of the tree and swallowed before looking at the man. "Well…..here we are…."

Ganondorf looked up at the tree and smiled as he nodded. "Thank you, boy."

The Great Deku tree looked at his two visitors as his gaze focused on the man. "Naruto, I believe that this is a private matter that you need not be present for. Please await his departure some distance outside of my meadow."

Naruto looked worried about that. "But….!"

"It is alright, my boy. You needn't worry." He understood the boy's hesitation as he saw it through his connection to the very forest but this meeting was unavoidable. This was just the most peaceful way it could go.

Naruto stared at the tree for a second but nodded. He slowly walked towards the entrance and stopped before looking back. Despite how the face of the tree doesn't move, he could tell The Deku tree was looking at him. He nodded before walking out.

Ganondorf didn't even turn to watch the boy, he just kept his gaze on the tree.

They remained silent for a few minutes till The Great Deku Tree spoke. "We can now discuss what it is you wish to discuss."

Ganondorf's smile became sinister as he stepped forward. "I shall get to the point. I desire the Kokiri's Emerald I know you have in your possession."

There was a silence between the two till the Deku Tree spoke. "Why would you desire such an object?" he wasn't going to deny its existence since it was already clear that the man knew about it but he was not going to divulge it as the jewel was too important for anyone to wield.

Ganondorf stepped forward. "It does not concern you. I am only here to retrieve it as I require it for a matter of great importance. So, let us move past any pleasantries and you can tell me where it is that you have hidden it so that I may acquire it."

"I am ashamed to inform you that I do not possess the knowledge of its location."

The man took a few steps closer to the tree as the entire area darkened as the tranquil air seemed to be sapped of all its light and became desolate. "Do not attempt to deceive me. I already know that you are the guardian of the jewel. Now, you can give me what I need or I end your existence." he brought up his hand as an orb of dark energy appeared above it.

Without a hint of fear, the Great Deku Tree spoke. "So sure that I would grant someone with such a dark heart the location of a sacred artifact. Smite me, and the result will be the same, you will receive nothing."

Ganondorf dispelled the orb of magic but did not pull his dark grasp on the area. "I respect you for risking your existence to keep its location hidden from me. But are you willing to risk the life of the very boy that brought me here?" He smirked as he knew that the tree spirit cared for the boy as the tree waited for the boy to be far enough away to avoid this little confrontation.

The Great Deku Tree knew the man would follow up on this threat as he could sense the evil from the man. He would not hesitate to kill Naruto if he thought it would force him to falter. But without hesitation, he countered. "You are in the middle of the boy's village. leave without him anywhere insight and you will have the entirety of their shinobi and knight forces upon you before you even have the chance to flee." He was internally grateful to Naruto for taking this man directly to him and away from the Kokiri village. Naruto may be protected by this threat but his children are not. If the man did not know about the children, then they are safe.

The two were at a stalemate as they stared at each other.

It was then that Ganondorf chuckled for a second before he laughed. "Ha ha ha ha, I commend you for that counter. I must admit that I would not be able to escape with the whole village after me. Killing one of their own would not be beneficial to me, even if I was able to leave without a fight."

"Abandon your folly quest. There are powers you have no hope to compete with."

"Oh, I know about the guardians that protect the jewels. Though I do not know about their powers, I know they protect them from those unworthy of them."

"Then why do you believe that you would ever gain these jewels?"

Ganondorf smirked as his hand gained an aura of shadows. "Let me show you." Almost in an instant, he was directly in front of the tree before he shoved his hand into the wood of the tree.

"Hrrrmm!"

"I learned enough and my powers can affect them. Despite how I won't be able to use it on the guardian, it should have a different effect on something like you." he ripped his hand out of the wood and stepped back. "That curse will slowly kill you from the inside out. I will not be here to hear you take your final breath but I doubt you will interfere with my search upon my return." he spun on his feet and walked away from the tree.

The Tree spirit could feel the curse coursing through his whole body and towards the area that holds the guardian. It was fast spreading and could already feel the evil from the curse cause monsters to form inside him. He focused all of his power on countering this curse but the power of the curse was well beyond his power. It was when he heard the shrieking of the guardian that he knew that his time was now limited. 'Thank Hylia for my previous actions.' knowing that he was now a lost cause, he chose to focus his attention on protecting his children and keeping this evil from escaping. 'The time for their destined meeting is close upon them…. Link …..I pray you are ready for your journey….. But let me grant you a small bit more time of peaceful times hrngh! And I believe…..you will not be alone in this.'

Naruto was pacing back and forth. "Maybe I should have hidden and listened to what they were talking about. I shouldn't have left them alone. But The Great Deku Tree would know if I'm still close by and he told me that he was going to be ok." After a bit more pacing, he frantically ruffled his hair. "Argh! I should have stayed and to make sure that guy didn't do anything!" he stopped his pacing and spun towards the direction of the meadow. "That's it, I'm going back!" after taking a few steps he stopped. "But he said he would be fine and I don't want him to be mad at me." he turned around to go back to the spot he was at before he turned back. "But I don't trust that man so I'm going to make sure he is fine." he took three steps before he turned back. "But he is strong so I don't have to worry." this kept going for another few minutes till he gave up and sat on a stump 'urgh, where's Saria and her music when you need it.'

He sat there for a while till he grabbed a leaf out of the air and spun it in his fingers before he remembered something, something Saria taught him. He pressed the leaf to his lips and tried playing a tune with the leaf. He wasn't as good as Saria or even Link but he can still play. He laid on his back as he played and he enjoyed the tranquility of the forest. As he played, he noticed that the color of the leaves seemed to dim a bit and he raised an eyebrow at it. As he stopped playing, he heard footsteps and turned his head to see the man walking his way.

"Lead me back to the village, boy. My business here is done."

Naruto could tell that Ganondorf was not in a good mood but if he was going to leave, Naruto was not going to argue. He hopped to his feet and nodded as he began to lead the man out of the forest, going the same path while also making a mental note to ask The Great Deku tree what they talked about.

End of chapter

1* Vehvi = child

Voe = man/male

Elements used in this fic:

Breath of the wild

Majoras mask

Twilight Princess

BIJUU DO EXIST IN THE WORLD. they will make an appearance later on as I have a purpose for them

Honestly, I had a bit of trouble with the meeting between Ganondorf and the Deku Tree. Actually, I had an issue with Ganondorf in general since, in Ocarina of Time, he has no real screen time on his behavior to really get an idea on how he would act. Though from what I could come up with, he is cordial when meeting with others. The only time he actually spoke any sort of conversation was in Wind Waker, every other game he is either being threatening or monologuing. And many of his actions in the game are found out second-hand.

Pairing is still open for both Link and Naruto. Someone did say Malon and another said Midna for but that was it. At the moment, there are no slots filled for either of the blondes. So suggestions are still open. And I don't mind bringing in girls from other ZELDA games. I'm sure I can think of something.

Ok, I am increasing the size of the world in general to fit several key areas in one area. As seen since I put in the Gerudo village from Breath of the wild, Gerudo fortress from Ocarina of time, and the prison from Twilight. Not to mention the temple hidden in the sandstorm from Ocarina of time. But I think I can get away with it somewhat since the areas in the world are fairly small in comparison to the actual world. And MAGIC. I mean towns in the Zelda world are like a few minutes' walk from one end to another while in the real world, towns take longer. And buildings are bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. Ok, I'm kinda trying to make excuses but I hope it is working. :P

Fun fact: the largest desert in our world is 5.5 million square miles. (Antarctica, who knew.) and the Sahara is 3.5 mill. The basic definition of dessert refers to difficult living conditions

NOW FOR THE POLL FOR WHICH ZELDA IS TO BE USED

Results:

1rst place: breath of the wild = 42 VOTES

2nd place: Twilight Princess = 22 votes

3rd place: Skyward Sword = 7 votes

4th place: Windwaker = 4 votes

I am a little surprised about the outcome since I expected slight differences, specifically second place. I expected Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild to be the ones to compete with each other, mainly because those two are the Zeldas that have the most personality. But I left it to the readers to choose and the winner is clear. It seems Breath of the wild Zelda will be the one used. The poll will still be up for a couple of days more till I take it down.

I wanted to do more with the Suna group besides having them help in world-building.

On that note, I am not adding EVERY temple or location from the games. Just ones that I feel I can fit in without it seeming too cluttered. Deserts are MASSIVE so that is why I feel like I can fit the locations mentioned. And I am increasing the size of the world a bit to fit some key locations.

If you have a location you want me to add specifically, put it in a review and why you would want it.

Doing a lot of world-building, but then again, I feel like this fic is going to be a massive undertaking. I mean the base is on the Ocarina of time, but I will be adding a LOT of original content.

My fellow author/friend (maybe?) has his own Naruto x LoZ fic. And I'm a little mad (not really) that his fic gained more of a following much faster. But I am not giving up. HEAR ME, FEN! I WILL CATCH UP TO YOU….eventually.

Anyway, his fic is called "Legend of Zelda: Shinobi Hero" by "FenreldStormblade" check it out

This chapter had no Saria or Link screen time so the next chapter will have a bunch of it. And something I am looking forward to

Flames will be ignored.
