Red haired shanksu: thank you. When I see crossovers with Naruto, I almost always see it where Naruto was sent to another world. But I like to fuse the worlds so that there is more to use while keeping some of the original world's concepts. And yeah, I want to pair up Naruto with girls from the Zelda verse, I am just on the fence about who they should be, since there are a bunch of good choices. Not to mention there is Link as well.

Dragon and Sword Master: how could you take so long *sniffle*. Anyway, glad you liked the chapter and the tour of Konoha. It will be soon when the events are set in motion and when things change for everyone.

Chapter 6: What is going on?

Naruto was sitting in the classroom as Iruka continued to talk about history, this time about the village itself.

The history of the village was when Hashirama and Madara Uchiha met with the royal family of the time to establish where they would be stationed. It was when they met that they were given a location that would be beneficial to them. Once they were given the spot, Hashirama, and Madara arrived and checked the surrounding area to know if there was anything they needed to know. That was when they met with the Deku Kingdom. The Deku people helped them build the starting point of the village hidden in the leaves and that was when they created another ally that day.

There was a rumor that said that Hashirama and Madara were given a mission as well but it was just a rumor. There was no real proof of such a thing, though there was a thing about Madara's brother dying because of it. Though that was proven wrong as Madara's brother died due to a run-in with a monster that got the best of him. It was because of the death of Madara's brother that caused the man to abandon the village without a word. Hashirama had sent out search parties to find him but they were unsuccessful and after years of no sign of him, the search ended. Hashirama continued to build the village to the point it reached its current size.

Naruto already knew this since he had already listened to the lecture before but there was something more to it that was never in the lecture. Something that he had learned from the Great Deku Tree. A good amount of the forest that took up the lost woods was actually made with the help of Hashirama and his wood style. Originally, the Lost Woods was much smaller than it is but when the man met with the ancient tree, he helped make the forest much larger. After that, the Great Deku Tree released his magic into the forest so that the Lost Woods would expand.

It wasn't known why they needed to make the forest larger but no one really asked, and Naruto didn't ever feel like asking

"...with the village established, Konoha later became one of the trusted forces that fell under the Royal family. That is why when sent out on missions, whether for village revenue or for the royal family, it is expected that you act as representatives of the king."

Many of the students were taking notes about the lecture with a few of them falling asleep because of the tone Iruka had. Since this was a general history class, both humans and Hylians were in this class listening to the man.

Naruto was close to falling asleep thanks to the man's boring voice.

*rumble*

The class paused for a second as they felt something shake the building. It wasn't anything major so they didn't pay much attention to it. In fact, they just assumed it was one of the shinobi or adept magic users using something powerful. Possibly some training.

Naruto looked out the window and wondered what the noise was but he was like everyone else, he thought it was just someone training in one of the training grounds. He remembered a time when a couple of weirdos in green ran around the village screaming about "soup" or something like that. He didn't know what it was since they ran by so fast it was hard to hear or see anything, all he saw was green. He would have thought it was one of the Kokiri villagers but they never left their home. Link and Saria were the first ever as far as he knew,

"Naruto, pay attention!"

Naruto felt something strike his head and he was forced to look back forward with a tear in his eye as he saw that Iruka had thrown something at his head.

Iruka sighed before he tapped his book in his free hand. "This is going to be in the exam so pay attention."

"Come on, Iruka, we know this stuff already."

"Yes, but you can never be too prepared and I would like to give you all the best chance you can have in passing."

Naruto groaned as he dramatically leaned back. This got a few chuckles from the class that did their best to hide them. He did his best to stay awake for the rest of the lecture, but Iruka is just so boring when it comes to teaching.

Despite how Iruka was acting like he normally did, he was doing his best to ignore the betrayal he felt from his friend attacking Naruto and his visitors from the Kokiri village. At this point, the news had become widespread and many could not believe that those people would attack kids. The anonymity between the two users seemed to be something that blinded many. He hoped that one day, there would be no such thing but he had no idea when or how it would happen.

Though, when he looked up at the class and how magic users and chakra users sat in the same room. Sure there were clear signs of separation, but a few intermingled.

Iruka smiled as he wished it was how the rest of the world was, but he would just have to wait for it. Looking at the clock, he saw that it was time for physical practice. "Alright, everyone, it's time for us to head outside. We will be starting a physical practice run for all of us. So, for the Hylians here, I would suggest you go retrieve your quivers, bows, and swords. If you don't have your own personal set, you can get some spares on the rack outside. He chuckled when he saw the kids cheer for that.

Naruto felt relief at the sound of being able to do something more entertaining than sitting here and dealing with the lecture. He got up from his seat and ran out the door just to get started faster.

Naruto was facing off against Sakura as they had been called to the field.

Everyone was interested in the fight as the two have fought alongside each other before but this is the first time they had been pitted against each other. Most didn't know who was going to win this one as some of the more strategic fighters of the students figured that they might know each other's moves so they wouldn't be able to surprise the other.

Some of the other students were even placing bets on who would win, yet it was balanced out so neither were in favor.

Sakura held her sword parallel to the side of her head as she stared Naruto down and waited for him to make the first move. She didn't use a shield as she didn't like using one. Despite how it was standard to have one to be a knight she decided to not go the standard way. It was a recommendation but not a requirement.

Naruto had a kunai in each hand as he was doing the same thing to her. He had his arms at his sides so that he could use one for defense and another for offense depending on the oncoming attack. It would also allow him to throw one while still keeping the other with him.

What the other students thought was very much true as they knew each other's moves. That is why neither of them made a move yet as they figured the other would anticipate the starting move and counter.

Iruka did this on purpose as he want to see if either of them would be able to adapt to someone who knew their moves. Shinobi and knights were taught to do this as there are many types of monsters out there that attack differently. But even if they have a predictable type of move set, monsters have been known to change things up a bit in order to win. He looked at the two in slight impatience as they have been staring each other down for a few minutes now and they needed to get things moving so the other students can get their turn. He looked at the Hylian instructor who did the same to him and the both of them nodded in agreement. He stepped forward and spoke. "Ok, you two, please start as we cannot stay here all day."

Both Sakura and Naruto dropped their stance and sheepishly nodded to their instructor. They got back to their stances before they both charged at each other.

As Naruto got closer to Sakura, he eyed her sword and saw that it was still held at the side of her head. He had seen her use that stance before but not often. He figured that she was using this since it was something she didn't use much when they fought side by side. He lowered himself as he was almost at her so he would be able to slip under her sword swing.

Sakura saw him lower himself and figured out what he was doing but with how close they were, she would not be able to change her stance. She chose to go with her initial attack and shifted her sword to a downward diagonal slash. She swung the sword as fast as she could to at least hit Naruto. She internally cursed as she saw that he would slip under her strike but she would not lose this fight.

Naruto was able to shift his body to let the sword swing over his back. He was a bit too slow as he felt the sword cut the back of his pants but not reach his skin, thankfully. Choosing to ignore that, he brought his kunai up to strike at her exposed side.

Sakura knew that if the kunai struck, she would lose immediately. Not willing to accept this, she kicked her back foot off the ground and chose to let the weight of her swing throw her into a twirl, which thankfully spun her out of the way of the kunai stab.

Naruto lost his footing and stumbled forward as he put too much strength into the stab. He tripped over his feet and went into a stumbling roll. He went into an uncontrolled roll for a second before he regained his balance and turned it into a controlled one and stopped on a knee

Sakura was getting dizzy at the unorthodox dodge she did but she was able to stay on her foot as she twirled. She brought her other foot down and was able to stop her spinning but it didn't stop her dizziness. The world spun for a second before she shook her head to rebalance the world and checked to make sure she still had her sword.

The two had their back to each other before they turned to face each other and brought their weapon up to strike at their opponent. Sword met kunai, kunai deflected sword. The clanging of metal was heard as the two were now exchanging blows.

The other students were cheering for one of them to win, mostly to the race they were affiliated with but they were enjoying the fight regardless.

The two got into a blade lock as they stared each other in the eyes. They tried to push each other back but they remained in place.

Sakura had to backflip to avoid the sweeping kick Naruto did. Following his missed attack, he threw one of his kunai at Sakura when she was mid-jump, aiming for her back. Sakura though, instinctively raised her head and swung her sword in an uncomfortable way to deflect the kunai. Naruto charged toward where she would land so he would be able to get a strike in. Sakura was able to land on her feet and brought her sword up to block the kunai and had it slide up the blade to move over her head.

Naruto was not prepared for the kunai to scrape up her sword so he was open by the pommel strike to his face, but leaned back in time to watch the sword fly over his nose. Once the sword passed, he brought himself up and slammed his forehead into Sakura's face.

Ino winced a the sight as she saw her friends fight. She knew how hard Naruto's skull was as she had been hit by it before when they ran into each other, literally. Her head hurt for days after they headbutted each other.

Sasuke was watching in interest as he still tried to figure out who would win this. He watched as Sakura recovered and swung her sword at Naruto who blocked it with his kunai as his feet dug into the dirt. "Sakura looks like she is gaining the upper hand."

"I wouldn't say that just yet."

Sasuke looked to his right at Shikamaru who was analyzing the fight as well. "What makes you say that?"

Shikamaru's eyes watched the two combatants as they continued to exchange blows. "Naruto has been known to pull out shocking comebacks. Not only that but he has been the one to throw more attacks at her than she has at him."

Sasuke looked back and could see what the Nara meant. He saw that Naruto was throwing more attacks at Sakura but it still didn't look like she was faltering. This fight can still go either way.

Naruto and Sakura jumped back as they finished their barrage of attacks. They were panting though after all the energy they spent but they knew they had to keep going. The match wouldn't be over till one of them fell.

Naruto looked at his kunai and could tell that it was not going to last. The blade was chipped in multiple areas and there was a deep one that almost reached the halfway point. His kunai was standard metal while her sword was custom-made.

Custom-made weapons tend to have higher durability, not to mention that magic is often used in Hylian wares so they last much longer.

Naruto gripped his kunai tighter before he charged at her with the intent of using the kuna one last time. He grinned as he saw Sakura charge at him as well.

The two ran as fast as they could and tensed their arms to swing their weapon. Naruto lowered his arm to swing his kunai to meet with her downward strike. The follow-up move will decide the winner.

*crrrrck~ BOOM*

Suddenly, the ground underneath the two burst open, throwing them back.

Everyone got up in shock as they didn't know what just happened. But before they could go help them, they felt the earth under them shake as it cracked as well. They all jumped away as the ground underneath them burst in the same way.

Naruto came to a rolling stop and looked at where he was just standing to see what happened. It was only by quick reflexes and luck that he avoided a set of sharp teeth that threw themselves at him. He tilted to his left to avoid the strike and jumped away from it. Once he was clear, he saw that it was some weird blue plant that had a mouth in its bud. It looked like it had sprouted out of the ground a few feet away from where he was at. With his adrenaline still high, he tensed his legs in order to attack the weird plant, but the second he took a step, he had to jump away as the floor under him bulged. He jumped away from that spot as another set of sharp teeth popped up from the ground. He noticed that despite it looking like the other plant, the one that came out was different.

The new one had a bigger bud and set of teeth. The stem used to hold it up was thicker and its color was red with black lines.

He had to jump away again as once again, the ground bulged. He was able to get away without panicking but this time, when the plant missed, it went back into the ground before it popped up behind him. He dodged the bite from behind before he brought his worn-out kunai down in its extended stem. He was glad that he was able to kill it with one hit but he didn't have time to bask in his victory as three more of them came from the ground.

Naruto wasn't the only one that was attacked as a horde popped out of the ground under the students and teachers. The students were too shocked to react instantly but the clan heirs were able to regain themselves and throw kunai at some of the plants that came out. Yet some of them missed as the plants retreated back into the ground before popping out somewhere else to attack another student.

The instructors found themselves in the same predicament but were having more success in killing them. The shinobi were able to dodge the attack and slice the stems while the Hylian instructors were able to avoid the attacks and strike down the plants with arrows.

Naruto cut the fourth red plant that had attacked him and took a moment to let out a breath. He looked over his shoulder to his classmates and was about to go help when he felt something sharp bite onto his leg. "ARGH!" He looked down to see what bit him and was shocked to see a red plant bite him. He thought it was another one that came out of the ground but when he looked at the stem, he saw that it wasn't connected to anything. This made him realize that it was one of the ones he had killed earlier. Choosing to just ignore the fact that the thing that he killed was still alive, he brought his kunai up to strike at its head but it was then that the other red plants began to bounce on the ground with one of them jumping at his raised hand. He moved his arm out of the way in time to avoid it biting his hand off but he still had the one on his leg hindering his movements. He lost his balance and fell to the ground and saw the other plants jumping at him. He panicked and closed his eyes in anticipation of the pain.

"Hah!" *Schlink*

Naruto opened his eyes to see Sakura with her sword held up at an upward angle.

Sakura had cut the attacking plants in half before she turned around and brought her sword down in a stab at the one that was biting down on Naruto's leg.

Naruto watched as the monsters dropped to the ground and this time didn't move at all. He looked up to see Sakura holding a hand out for him to take, which he did gratefully.

Sakura pulled him off the ground and looked at his leg. "You gonna be ok?"

Naruto looked at his leg and saw that it was bleeding. He shook it a bit and could tell that it would hinder him a bit but not entirely. "I'll be fine. I can still fight."

Sakura nodded. "Good, 'cause here they come!" Sakura held her sword at the ready as a few more plants burst from the ground and began to clatter their mouths at them.

Naruto nodded as he held up his kunai to pay them back for what one of them did to his leg. He then noticed that his kunai was now close to breaking since the chips in it were now large enough that he could snap it in half if he put some force into it. He frowned as he knew he wouldn't be able to use it for much longer till something caught his eye. On the ground was one of the monsters that were dead and saw that its stem was becoming stiff and began to look familiar. He reached down and picked it up, causing the monster's bud to snap off. He paused as he saw the bud shrivel up and harden into something else familiar and picked it up as well. He looked at the new items in his hands and realized what they were. "It's a deku stick… and a Deku nut!" Not wanting to think about it, he held the stick up as if it was a sword since it would be useful in this fight and pocketed the nuts for later use.

The two looked at each other before they charged at the group. Cutting as many as they could down, they split up and began to help out their classmates.

Naruto couldn't help but wonder. "What the hell is going on? Where are they coming from?"

Sakura cut several of the plant monsters that came out of the ground in her path as she made her way to her friends. As she cut down another one that caused her to halt her momentum, she heard one come out from behind her. She looked over her shoulder to see it coming at her before it was suddenly hit in the head by a kunai. She was pleased to see Ino land right behind her as they stood back to back.

Around the two burst a dozen of the monsters from the ground, trapping them to the spot.

Ino pulled her kunai out of the monster's head before looking over her shoulder with a smirk. "This will be the second time we actually fight alongside each other."

Sakura returned the smirk as she hoisted her sword. "If only we could do it at better times than being attacked."

Ino shrugged. "When else would we fight together."

"Good point." the two swung their weapons at the set of mouths coming at them as they whittled away at the horde.

"Partial expansion jutsu!" Choji's hand increased in size before it was brought down on a group of enemies, crushing them.

"Choji, look out!"

Choji looked to his left to see another of them come out of the ground and bite at him. He panicked and took a step back but stopped when he saw that it froze.

"Shadow possession jutsu, success." Shikamaru smirked as he stopped it from biting his friend.

Choji nodded in gratitude before he brought his hand up and smashed the one Shikamaru had.

Shikamaru stood up and jumped to stand by Choji's side. "You ok?"

Choji nodded as his hand decreased in size. "Yeah. Got any idea how to get rid of them?"

Shikamaru shook his head as he looked around at the monsters that kept showing up from the ground. "No clue. I don't even know what they are."

Choji scratched his head as he tried to think about the monsters. "I think I saw them in the textbook once. But I don't remember the name of them. I think Ino talked about it once since she was interested in them since they are plants."

Shikamaru sighed. "Troublesome, we don't really need to know the name of these things but it would be nice if she knew why they are coming out of nowhere."

"Well, why don't we ask her?"

Shikamaru looked around them to see that more were coming up. "We can ask her when we get some breathing room. Got anything that can clear them out."

Choji shook his head before he brought his hands up. "Partial expansion jutsu!" Both his hands enlarged this time and he clapped at some of the monsters.

Shikamaru sagged a bit before he got himself ready. "Why did they have to make this day more troublesome."

"Let's go, Akamaru!"

*ARF*

Kiba and Akamaru were running through a group of them with Kiba using his claws to cut up the stems, while Akamaru bit down on the heads and swung them around. The red ones, Akamaru would toss it toward Kiba, who would use his claws to shred them as much as he could. Earlier, Akamaru would have been bitten by the red one if not for their fellow classmate.

*BBZZZZZZZZ*

A cloud of insects came down on another of the monsters as many stingers and pincers cut at the stem of the blue ones and cut up the head of the red ones. Once the cloud finished it off, it returned to Shino, swarming above him.

Kiba landed next to Shino with Akamaru coming up to stand at their feet.

Kiba looked to Shino. "Got any idea how many more of them there are?"

Shino turned his head to look at Kiba. "Unfortunately, my insects are not able to pinpoint the amount as so many keep coming from the ground. And spreading out my insects in all directions lowers the amount I can use when they come out."

Kiba groaned as he didn't know how many more there were but also that fact that another group came from the ground. "Do you at least know what the hell these are?"

Shino nodded as he brought his arms up to send another cloud of insects. "Yes, the blue ones are deku babas and the red ones are Baba serpents."

Kiba raised an eyebrow at Shino. "How the hell do you even know that?"

"It's in the textbook."

Kiba gave a flat look at Shino as he should have known that would be where Shino would find it.

He, Akamaru, and Shino had to move to avoid the bites made at them before they went about taking out more of them.

"Byakugan!" Hinata activated her dojutsu to keep an eye on the enemies that surrounded her. She brought her hands up as she used her palms to deflect the buds away from her and kill the monsters at the same time.

"Sharingan!" Sasuke activated his own dojutsu to keep help him see which enemy to avoid and which one to strike. Each of his eyes only had one tomoe in them so he was not able to use the full potential of the Sharingan but it would still help him in this fight against numbers. He shifted his body as one of them snapped at him while bringing a kunai up to slice off the bud of another that snapped after the first one.

Hinata sent a palm strike at a Deku Serpent causing it to fall to the ground. She jumped up in the air and brought her palm down on its head, killing it, before she pulled out a kunai from her weapons pouch and threw it behind her without turning.

Sasuke jump-kicked the head of a Deku baba to the side, snapping it off its stem before landing on the ground, not realizing one behind him. He did see the kunai heading in his direction and he watched as it flew behind him, cutting the head of the Deku baba behind him. Looking back to Hinata and gave a thankful nod to her before getting back into the fight.

Hinata saw the grateful nod with her Byakugan but focused on the enemies around them.

Naruto slammed down his Deku stick on another of the Deku babas after he stunned it with a Deku nut. That had been his strategy since his kunai snapped in the head of a Deku serpent and so far it had been a good one. Not to mention that with his leg hurting, the Deku nuts he got from the defeated monsters helped keep the other monsters away from him.

"Everyone, Evacuate the academy! The whole place is swarming with these monsters!"

Naruto looked over his shoulder to see Iruka gesturing for all of the students to leave the area. He knew that if Iruka was saying that, then the Academy was taken over. He even saw many of the other instructors from the other classes were outside and leading the other students out while they all fought the ones in their way. He was about to head toward him but found his pathway blocked. The Deku stick he had used was already on the last hit it could take. He had gone through a lot of them in this fight and he continued to pick up the new ones to keep fighting. Seeing that he would not be able to get through the monsters, he threw a Deku nut on the ground, stunning them all, and jumping in the opposite direction to jump over the academy wall. When he reached the wall, he looked toward Iruka and waved to him to make sure that the man knew that he was going to catch up with him later on.

Iruka watch as Naruto vanished past the wall and hoped that he would be able to get back the rest when he could. He looked and saw the rest of his class and the Hylian class that joined his were all running past the gate. He ran to join them and escort them somewhere they could be safe.

Naruto landed on the other side of the wall and saw that some of the Deku babas were popping up there as well, though not in as much quantity. He ran parallel to the wall and wondered again. "What the hell is going on?"

What Naruto didn't know was that it was happening all over the village.

Villagers were running from the Deku babas that were coming out of the ground while the shinobi were taking them out as best they could. But even if they could easily destroy them, their abundance was making it difficult. Not to mention that they would come up from the ground at random.

But the biggest problem was that there were still civilians running the streets which made it impossible for the shinobi to use their jutsu as they were trying to avoid casualties.

Kakashi sliced up a few of the Deku babas that were attacking a group of civilians before pointing in the direction of the village gates. "Head to the gates leading out of the village. I was informed that they are inside the village walls only."

The family nodded before they ran off in that direction.

Kakashi watched them leave before doing a hand sign and making a shadow clone. "Follow them, make sure they make it."

The clone nodded before going to escort the family.

Kakashi sighed as he felt his chakra levels drop. "That's the fifth clone I made and I can already feel my chakra draining from it." He didn't use his Sharingan as it was a major drain of his chakra and he didn't know how much he would need, especially since when the village was free of civilians, the shinobi would be able to use jutsu to wipe out the enemies.

"You're getting sloppy, Inu."

Kakashi looked up to see Neko dropping down and cutting four of the Deku babas into pieces. "I've been off Anbu duty for a while now."

Neko sliced another of the Deku Serpents before turning to Kakashi. "All because you were getting ready to become an instructor. I praise you for that."

Kakashi shrugged before tossing five kunai behind him at another group. "I plan on honoring my sensei by making sure his son is a capable shinobi."

Neko nodded as she continued to fight off the monsters. "Any word on the academy?"

Kakashi kicked away one of the Babas before spinning in the air and cutting off the head of a Serpent before he dug his kunai in its head. "I got word that the academy was hit just as hard and all the students are heading out. Instructors will know the head out of the village when they see that the shelters are inaccessible."

Neko nodded as it was something the instructors would know to do. She brought her sword down in a vertical slash at one of the babas before her instincts told her to jump. She followed them and jumped back in time to avoid a sword strike. She landed next to Kakashi as they both faced this new enemy.

Both were shocked by the sight.

The new enemy was a walking skeleton with nothing but tattered clothes on it and a set of floating orange orbs in the sockets for eyes.

Kakashi looked the skeleton over and couldn't help but wonder where it came from. The clothes were the oddest thing about it as they were simple shirts and pants, despite them being in shreds. But as he looked at it, he saw a few more of them coming from around corners before turning to face them. That was when a shock hit him. Some of them were wearing shinobi attire. Worn out, torn out, shredded, and barely recognizable, but they were wearing chunin and jonin jackets. The Uzumaki symbol seen on the back of one that tripped helped him figure that out. "What the hell?"

Neko was just as shocked but neither she nor Kakashi had the chance to figure it out as the skeletons began to head their way.

They charged at the skeletons and found them harder to beat than the Deku babas. Some of them were able to block some of the shinobi strikes with the shields that they carried before striking back with their swords.

Being nimble, Kakashi and Neko were able to avoid the attacks but even when they successfully landed a hit, they would get back up and continue.

Kakashi decided to amp things up as he pulled out a kunai and channeled his chakra into it, causing it to burst into lightning. With his lightning-enhanced kunai in hand, he began to cut away at the enemies. Their shields still posed a problem since his kunai found it difficult to break through, for reasons Kakashi didn't have time to figure out.

Yugao didn't have the luxury of enhancing her blade as Kakashi did as her affinity was earth. That didn't mean that channeling chakra into her sword didn't help its cutting capability.

After they cut down ten of them, they looked up to see more of them coming at them.

Kakashi sighed as wondered where these things were coming from so they could find it and stop it.

Iruka and the instructors were leading the students to the west gate in order to evacuate the village. Once he knew that the students were safe, he would return to the academy to help clear it out. So the faster they got out, the better.

The Hylain instructors helped by using their bows to shoot arrows at enemies from afar while the shinobi would defend them at close range.

Even the students were helping however they could with their kunai and their own bows.

They had to stop when the skeletons began to show up and close range began to be the preferred method.

Iruka was handling his own as one of the skeletons came too close for his liking. He was able to kick the head off of it before looking at his class to see that they were doing well for a group of kids. "Everyone alright?"

Ino threw a kunai at a Deku baba before answering the teacher. "We'd be better if we weren't in the middle of a fight!"

Shikamaru looked over to Iruka as he spoke. "We need to get moving. The longer we stay here, the more likely that we will be surrounded by these things."

Iruka nodded as he was about to continue moving them as the other class began to move again. "Alright, everyone, we should make sure-"

"Iruka!"

Iruka looked to see Kiba pointing behind him. Turning around, he brought his kunai up to defend himself from whatever it was Kiba saw, but he froze at the sight.

Coming their way was another one of the skeletons monsters but it was its appearance that got him. It was wearing a chunin vest that was ripped at the bottom and on the top of its head was a familiar set of blue-silver hair.

"Mizuki?!"

The Mizuki skeleton moved toward the class with a rusted kunai in its hand and brought it up to stab Iruka.

Iruka shook himself out of his shock as he brought his own kunai up to block Mizuki's. He held back the attack before he parried it and kicked Mizuki in the chest. He saw that it was only stunned for a moment before he reached into his kunai pouch and grabbed a tag. He wrapped it around the handle before running toward the once-man-now skeleton. He ducked under the swipe Mizuki threw before he jabbed his kunai at its chest. The blade stuck into the jacket before he jumped back when he saw the tag begin to sizzle.

Mizuki shambled toward Iruka, not caring about the sizzling tag on him, before it exploded.

Everyone covered their face from the dust cloud before they looked toward where Mizuki once was only to see that he was destroyed.

Iruka stared at the spot as his mind tried to think about what had happened to the man to turn out like that. After a minute of thought, he remembered something that he was told some time ago. When adults get lost in the Lost Woods, there is a chance that they would be turned into a skeleton monster by the name of Stalfos. This was the first time he had seen one so that was why he didn't know. "This means that all of them are the adults that were lost in the woods or in Mizuki's case, thrown in there.

"Iruka!"

He shook his head to get out of his thoughts before looking at his students. Getting back to the problem at hand, he moved to his students. "Alright, let's get going! We have to clear the area for the shinobi!" He moved the kids out toward the gate with his mind still on Mizuki. 'If Mizuki is here, does that mean that the monsters are coming from the Lost Woods?' this was just speculation but it was the only one that would make sense if these Stalfos were anything to go by. Even as he moved his class, the thought of the Lost Woods reminded him of the student that was separated from them. 'Where are you, Naruto!?'

"What the hell!?"

Naruto was jumping around as Deku nuts were being shot at him at a fast pace and not letting him get any breathing time. As he jumped away from the spot he landed on, he threw his head back to avoid one that would have hit his head. Due to the random move, he flailed in the air before crashing to the ground. He had to roll as another barrage of nuts impacted the ground he was once at. He jumped to his feet and ran away as he looked over his shoulder at his attackers. It was a group of Deku scrubs that were chasing him. They had come out of nowhere and began to chase him, causing him to run through the trees to get some cover. He was being pushed further into the village, which was the opposite of what he was trying to do. He ducked under another shot and watched as it flew into a tree, leaving a very sizable dent in it. "Why the hell are the Deku scrubs attacking me!?"

He knew that the denizens of the Deku kingdom were mostly peaceful and were allies to Konoha. It didn't make sense for them o attack since they even stated that they preferred the swamp lands that were within the large forest Konoha was located in.

Naruto continued to run, duck, dip, dive, and dodge the projectiles as they continued to chase him. He broke through the tree line of the trees before he rapidly dug his feet into the ground to try and stop him as he saw a Stalfos in front of him. He was unable to stop in time and yelped as a sword came swinging at his head. Thankfully, he lost his footing and fell backward, under the blade, and slid on the dirt. Once he stopped he rolled on the ground to avoid the sword swinging down on him. He jumped to his feet and jumped over another Stalfos and was able to get up to the tree branches. He was able to get a breather as he saw that the Stalfos were unable to climb and the Deku scrubs were looking around for him. It looked like they had lost him. He took a deep breath as he had a moment to himself. He looked down at the enemies as they continued to pile under the tree he was at. "What the hell is going on? The Deku scrubs wouldn't attack us like this and those….. Are Stalfos….right?"

He knew about them because The great Deku tree told him about them. It was the reason that no adults would go into the Lost Woods, to avoid finding these monsters and to avoid becoming them. It's similar to the kids as they wouldn't want to become Skull Kids.

He sat on the branch as something about that current thought, caused him to stick to it. He crossed his arms and thought about it. "Stalfos…. Are adults that got lost in the lost woods…and they are here… in the village. But if they are here…..that means!" something clicked in his mind before he got back to his feet and spun his head around to figure out where he was. "If the Stalfos are here, that means that they…!" He finally figured out where he was and when he turned in the direction of the Forest of Death, he jumped in that direction, keeping to the treetops to avoid the monsters.

It took him ten minutes to get there, which was longer than he would have liked, and when he saw the gates to the Forest of Death, he saw the monsters coming from within. "Crap!" he began to panic as he was hoping that his thoughts were wrong, but now, dread filled his heart. Thinking about what he should do, he gulped down before reaching into his pocket and pulling out some Deku nuts. Taking a breath, he threw a pair of them at the Gate entrance, stunning the monsters, before he jumped down and ran past them so he could make his way to the Lost Woods. "If monsters are coming from the Lost Woods, then that means they could be in Kokiri village!" he pushed his speed as much as he could as he worried about his friends and their home. "Please be ok!"

I was originally going to have more in this chapter but I wanted to release something for before the game came out. Which I will be playing the second I get the game in my hands :)

I still seem to be building the world with the Madara and Hashirama part.

I know there wasn't much that happened in this chapter but it is building up to things. Now that we are getting things running, I will finally be able to get to things that I was wanting to get to. One is Naruto's new wardrobe. I know I have him wearing something else other than his jumpsuit but the outfit he has is more common clothing. Soon, I will have him wearing something else.

To clarify, just in case, Naruto doesn't have Kurama so he doesn't have the super healing that he originally had in canon.

There are also the other rookies and their lower level of skill. The reason for this is that they are still at the academy and the skills they are known for were shown in the chinun exams so it is most likely that they don't have their signature moves yet. Though I gave Sasuke the Sharingan but at an early stage.

Still working on making the map that will hold the new fused world. Had to scrap the original map I was working on as I thought it was too small.

The next chapter will be the continuation and explanation of what is going on.
