"Alright Becky, we're all here," said Declan Coyne who walked up to an abandoned Degrassi High along with Fiona Coyne, Emma and Spinner Mason, and Liberty Van Zandt.

"What did you want to talk about?" he asked.

"And why did it have to be here of all places?" asked Emma while turning her attention to the school before looking at Becky.

"Because I bought the school," said Becky Baker.

"What?!" asked the others.

"Degrassi High has been closed for years, why would you suddenly buy it and what do you even have planned for the place?" asked Liberty.

"I want to fix it up and turn it into a new private school that I'll be the one running," said Becky.

"And I want all of you to join me as teachers," she said.

"You have to be kidding me," said Spinner.

"We all have our own lives, and none of us have teaching degrees so how do you figure that we can be teachers?" said Liberty.

"You don't need teaching degrees to work at a private school," said Becky.

"And we can find work arounds for you and your current jobs so that you can teach here at the same time that you continue your old jobs," she said.

"Can we choose what classes we teach?" asked Emma.

"Of course, I'll even cover the costs for your teaching licenses, which again you don't need a teaching degree for," said Becky.

"We're in," said Emma and Spinner after they had shared a quick glance between them.

"Sounds interesting to me," said Declan.

"As long as I can teach fashion classes I'm good with it," said Fiona.

"Fine with me, I'll find others to teach the subjects we don't have covered between us," said Becky.

"Alright, what are we going to call this new school?" asked Liberty.

"Degrassi Academy," said Becky.
