HAPPY NATIONAL CARROT CAKE DAY
"Sorry again if me calling you was troublesome." She rubs the back of her brunette pigtailed head. Bright blue eyes closed as a embarrassed blush takes her face.
Turning from the small kitchen stove he works on, his bright emerald green eyes sparkle at her cuteness.
"Not a bother whatsoever. Please Layla, I'm happy to help you whenever you shall need me." The inspiring Pokémon Connoisseur reassures with a wink, returning to his culinary work.
Layla blushes softer now, looking away when Cilan's Pansage playing with the nursery pokémon get her attention.
"Okay! Everyone it's lunch time!" The 3rd Striaton City Gym Leader proudly declares.

"Your bothers sound wonderful." Layla giggles carefully not to choke on the chicken wings and white rice she happily munches.
"Indeed they are, when Cress isn't acting pompous nor Chili with passionate temper." He grins sheepishly, telling more stories of triplet brothers.
Still the brunette Day Care assistant smiles lovingly at Cilan. The green haired young adult doesn't notice as he starts collecting the pokémon bowls off the floor.
"Once again your recipes are delicious. The pokémon can't get enough."
"That does a chef's heart good, to know the people and pokémon love the effort and taste." Cilan now blushes softly, tho he snaps his fingers actually forgetting something.
In his haste, the tower bowls nearly falls, Layla quick hold some so they don't fall around the pokémon.
"Whoa is everyone alright?" Bright blue eyes look around, everyone gives her confirmation in their own ways.
"Looks like your clumsiness is a thing of the past." Cilan smiles so thrilled for Layla.
The brunette giggles softly, but turning around she slips on a toy building block, Cilan swiftly catches her.
"Well almost, thank you Cilan." Layla sheepishly grins. "Oh what was that thing you forgot?"
"Right, forgive me. I made carrot cake for everyone!" Again all the baby pokémon cheer about more food.
Layla blushes as the two carefully put the dishes in the sink. "You're so awesome, you know that?"
"Why thank you." Cilan boldly kisses her forehead. "Your determination is quite admirable as well."
Again Layla so flustered just nods softly, starting to wash the dishes as Cilan prepares to cut pieces of carrot cake.
Author's Note: Cilan/Layla (tho she only appeared ONCE, 'Unrest at the Nursery!') are damn adorable together. Seriously, this is my third work featuring them!
