Draconis: Alright, let's get started before I get any sicker.
Kenshin: Come on...
Vali: Let me at him...
Issei: Jeez, loads of killer instinct from both of them.
Dragon of the Elements
Chapter 85
The Founding of DxD
Draconis: Begin!
(start)
While the Gremory and Kuroshi groups were confronting Rizevim.
"Whoa! Where the hell did all these dragons come from? !" Bikou said as he extended his Nyoi-bo and drove one off.
"I have no idea, but focus!" Arthur said as he leaped upward and cut one down with Caliburn.
"Please these dragons don't mean much!" A blonde amazoness said as she leaped upward, stabbing one of the dragon's in the shoulder, twisting her body around and throwing it to the ground. She flew down at it and quickly stabbed her sword into the dragon's chest, killing it. She was wearing the armor that a Grecian warrior once wore named Achilles. Her sword was adamantine forged and she wore a pair of boots with wings on them. She had a voluptuous, yet toned figure from years of training.
"That's because you're near invulnerable Achilla!" Arthur said.
"Excuses!" Achilla said taking Bikou's back. "So, how are you doing so far?"
"Nineteen, you?" Bikou asked with a smirk.
"Ha! Twenty one!" Achilla said with a smirk of her own. "Is this all the Evil Dragons have to offer? !"
"Well then, I need to get busy!" Bikou said as he dove back into the fray.
"Yes you do." Achilla said as she dove back into the fray herself. "You have yet to beat me in this contest, so you still get nothing if you lose!"
"We'll see about that!" Bikou said as the two killed dragon after dragon.
"Is there no one else to challenge the might of Achilla? !" Achilla shouted.
Arthur sweatdropped. "Why did I have to get stuck with the battle idiots? Wait...even Vali's a battle idiot...I was going to be stuck with one anyway!"
"Hey Arthur! Get to work! These mass produced Evil Dragons won't kill themselves!" Achilla shouted.
"Yeah Yeah..." Arthur grumbled.
(break)
Back with the others.
"Kenshin are you going to try and take that kill from me again?" Vali said.
"Not at all. It's a race. Just beat me to killing the bastard." Kenshin said.
"Dragon Shot!"
"? !" Kenshin and Vali watched as a massive Dragon Shot screamed toward Rizevim.
"Oi Issei, that's not-!" Azazel said.
"We don't know that yet! I'm not letting such an evil bastard get out of here!" Issei shouts.
However, the Dragon Shot dissipated. "Issei, this guy's ability is irregular even among devils. He sometimes materializes it as a remote controller. It's call the Sacred Gear Canceller. It cancels out special traits of Sacred Gears and any abilities enhanced by them."
"What? !" Everyone except Kenshin and Vali said in response.
Kiba rushed forward, slashing his Sword of the Betrayer at him. However it vanished. "No way...it's true!" He said jumping back.
"Uhyohyohyohyo~! Seems even the irregular holy demonic sword wasn't enough!" Rizevim laughed.
"Tch, so even the Heavenly Dragons going through irregular growth isn't enough." Vali growled.
"Vali, I need your help here." Kenshin said as Rizevim started posturing on his invinciblity and even why Sirzechs' peerage, excluding Kenshin didn't have a single Sacred Gear user on it.
"What? Why?" Vali said.
"I'm going to rush Rizevim, when I do, he's probably going to put Lilith there in front of me. I'll keep her off you while you get some licks in on the bastard." Kenshin whispered.
"My power won't work here." Vali whispered back.
"Why do you think I went into the Vessel? Because it worked against him." Kenshin whispered. "Use the Elements. For you and Granberia, they don't come from a Sacred Gear."
"? !" Vali stared at him in shock. "Are you sure?"
"Positive. Granberia, did you get all that?" Kenshin said turning his head, revealing a communication circle.
"Yes, ready to move when you are Vali." Granberia said.
"Then my Durandal must work on you should it? !" Xenovia said leaping above Rizevim.
"Lilith." Rizevim said as he stored away his Holy Grail.
Lilith stepped in front of Rizevim and blocked Xenovia's attack. "Wha? !"
"No good, any attacks that aren't sent out by Sacred Gears will just be blocked by Lilith." Issei said as Lilith batted it to the side.
"!" Rizevim looked down as Kenshin appeared in front of him and Lilith, punching at his stomach. "Kenshin, you idiot. You already had your chance and now I have Lilith to defend me." He said as Lilith held Kenshin's wrist, not letting him continue to attack.
"...Heh." Kenshin smirked. "I was actually counting on her stopping me dumbass." He said pulling his wrist back, yanking Lilith forward. "See ya!" He said grabbing hold of Lilith and jumping out of the way.
"Hey! Get back here with that! She's mine!" Rizevim barked.
"Vali, Granberia! NOW!" Kenshin shouts.
"? !" Rizevim turned to find Granberia slashing Ares at him from the left. "Haa, you fool. This won't work."
"We'll just see about that! Serene Demon Sword!" Granberia said.
"!" Rizevim activated his barrier sensing that Granberia's elemental power was not fading. "You, you're immune to my power?" He said as her Ares clashed against his barrier
"I might have been trained by Salamander, but I don't get my power from her or her sisters." Granberia smirked. "My power is all natural!"
"Yes, but the trade off for that is that it's much weaker." Rizevim said. "You can't give me anywhere near the fight Kenshin did."
"Well then, it's a good thing I'm not alone." Granberia said before she ducked as Vali's leg swept over her, kicking Rizevim in the chest.
"Guh? !" Rizevim let out a pained gasp as he was sent into the wall. "What? !"
"Wait, what just happened? I though Sacred Gears couldn't affect this guy, yet Vali clearly just kicked him." Issei said.
"Wait, of course! Vali and Granberia's elemental powers don't come from a Sacred Gear, but that still doesn't explain how Kenshin was able to do it." Azazel said. "Back then, even with the Vessel, Kenshin wouldn't be able to do much to him."
"I had a few thoughts about that!" Kenshin said, still holding Lilith. "It's either because my Sacred Gear wasn't created by God or you Azazel. Or that I have the Spirits in me, or that my strength exceeds what he can cancel out. I mean it's gotta have a limit right?"
"Good points! Hang on I'll come over there and give you a hand with her!" Azazel said.
"No." Kenshin said opening a private line with Azazel. "Help Vali and Granberia, I'd like to have a word with Lilith here privately."
"You know Rizevim's not going to allow that." Azazel said.
"Don't worry, it won't take but a minute or two." Kenshin said cutting the connection and lifting Lilith while she still held his wrist. "Listen, I'm gonna need you to do me a favor and look me in the eyes."
"?" Lilith, with a curious look on her face looked Kenshin in the eyes. "!"
Kenshin's and Lilith's eyes both widened as they stared at each other. "Huh, interesting. He just pulled that girl into a Phantasmagoria." Evangeline noted.
"Is that impressive or something?" Mana asked.
"Well, considering that girl he's holding up is a Dragon God of Infinity. I'd say so." Irina said.
"Wait, a God?" Mana said.
"Yup, one that makes Hottan seem meek in comparison." Kazumi said.
Mana stared at Kenshin. "...How much stronger have you gotten since you left Kenshin?" Mana thought.
In Kenshin's Phantasmagoria, Lilith looked around, finding herself in what looked to be the Dimensional Gap. "Where are we?"
"Oh this is just a linked mental space shared between us." She turned to find Kenshin standing behind her. "It's called a Phantasmagoria."
"And you managed to pull me into such a place? You must be around my level in strength then..." Lilith asked with a tilt of her head.
Kenshin let out a chuckle. "You really do act like Ophis." He said. "Anyway. I'm really not. If you wanted to, you could break free of this place with very little effort. It's just...you seem like you don't know what you want."
"..." Lilith stared at him impassively.
"Anyway I modeled this place after the Dimensional Gap to make you feel a little more at home." Kenshin said.
"I've never been here..." Lilith said.
"You have, but not in your present form. You and Ophis are a part of each other after all. Honestly, you're like Luka and I were. Two parts of the same whole being." Kenshin said.
"...You're right...despite never being here myself, I do feel...relaxed here." Lilith said.
"That's good." Kenshin smiled.
"You were quite angry earlier, where did that go?" Lilith asked, pointing at him.
"That was directed at Rizevim, not you." Kenshin said.
"Why?" Lilith asked.
"Because, what he plans to do will destroy everything." Kenshin said. "As the Primordial of Life...no. As A Primordial...I cannot have that."
"What do you mean?" Lilith asked.
"It's the job of the Primordials to keep Trihexa sealed away, because if he and Great Red are allowed to clash...the blast radius of their ensuing battle will be enough to wipe out all creation." Kenshin said. "At least...that's what Ragnarok told me."
"And you're telling me this?" Lilith asked.
"Yeah. Because you're a Primordial too." Kenshin said.
"I am?" Lilith asked with a tilt of her head.
"Yeah, you and Ophis are Co-Primordials of Nothingness." Kenshin said. "As you two are part of each other, you are everything the other is."
"..." Lilith looked down at her hands. "I don't know..."
"Lilith, you can't keep obeying Rizevim's orders. He's not good for you. He's only using you for his own wicked ends." Kenshin said.
"Rizevim is Lilith's creator...Lilith cannot betray her creator..." Lilith said.
"I guess, but...you know." Kenshin smiled. "Just because someone created you, don't mean you owe them anything. You are your own being, your own life. You're free to make your own choices. If you don't like what someone's doing, you're more than able to tell them to screw off."
"...?" Lilith tilted her head curiously.
"You are really cute like that." Kenshin chuckled. "Just think about what we talked about, OK Lilith?"
"..." Lilith nodded mutely. She watched as Kenshin approached her.
"Find yourself and be that, don't let anyone tell you what to be." Kenshin said.
"How do I do that?" Lilith asked.
Kenshin reached over and patted her head. "Sorry, but I can't answer that. The only one who knows how to be you, or find yourself...is you." He said giving her forehead a gentle finger poke before turning and walking away.
Lilith wasn't sure what she was feeling, but she felt an odd sense of warmth rush through her as she watched Kenshin walk away. "You're...nice." She said. "We've never met before we both found ourselves here in this country, but you're treating me nicely."
"Well, I'm gonna be a father soon, so I gotta learn how to act sooner or later. Also, if it's not too much trouble, when you get out of here, could you please surround us both in your mana?" Kenshin said turning his head to her with a smile as they both vanished from the Phantasmagoria.
Meanwhile Vali and Granberia dodged Rizevim's attempt to attack them, but by minimal margins. "So grandson! You managed to get yourself some elemental magic to use to beef yourself up! How amusing!" Rizevim said.
"That's right bastard, and I'm going to use these powers to kill you!" Vali said leaping back as Granberia bore down on Rizevim.
"Earth Rumbling Decapitation!" Granberia shouts.
Rizevim activated his barrier. "It is impossible! You're too weak to kill me!" Rizevim said stabbing a sword at Granberia.
"You're open." Granberia said grabbing hold of the sword and diverting it with a smirk.
"!" Rizevim saw Vali rushing in, his left arm covered in flames.
"Burning Fist!" Vali shouts, punching through Rizevim's barrier, sending him flying into a wall.
"Grhh..." Rizevim grunted as he pulled himself out of the wall.
"Those training sessions back in Makai are paying off." Vali said holding his fist forward as they stood next to each other.
"Indeed." Granberia said tapping the side of her own fist against his with a confident smirk.
"Onee-Chan. I've got an idea." Miyuki whispered.
"What's up?" Yukari said.
"We could...and please bear with me on this...we could attack him without our Balance Breakers or even our Sacred Gears." Miyuki whispered.
"Huh?" Yukari said.
"Well I'm thinking about what Onii-Chan said. What if it's because he's strong enough to overrule Rizevim's Sacred Gear Cancel." Miyuki said. "Seeing Granberia and Vali attack with the elements as they are gives me this idea."
"Kenshin! Look out! !" They both heard Rias, Kiba, Azazel and Evangeline yell out. They saw Rizevim had broken free of Vali and Granberia's stalling and was rushing Kenshin from behind
"!" Kenshin's eyes widened as Rizevim's sword cut through his neck. "Ungh...?" His head slipped off his shoulders and his body collapsed.
"KENSHIN! !" Rias screamed out, her crimson aura flaring.
"Now Lilith, it's time to come with me." Rizevim said reaching for her. "Eh? Why are you leaking your mana out?"
(clench!)
"? !" Rizevim looked down to see Kenshin's hand gripping his wrist. "What the fu-? !"
(wham!)
"Guoh? !" Rizevim was knocked skyward by Kenshin's fist. "!" He watched as Kenshin's decapitated body got up and grabbed it's head. "What in the fuck? !"
"What Rizevim? You've never seen the Headless Swordsman?" Kenshin asked as his body tossed his head up and down. "Turns out if I'm surrounded in Dark or Nothingness mana, I can survive being decapitated." He said as he started to juggle his own head.
"Kenshin, for the love of God put your head back on before you actually die." Irina deadpanned.
"Seriously. I know you're just screwing with him, but this is a little much." Issei said.
"Oh alright." Kenshin said as he set his head on his neck stump and let it reattach. "Aah, much better.
"Huh...wait...wha...?" Rias said, completely dumbfounded.
"..." Evangeline stared at Kenshin with wide eyes. "I...I've seen that before! I was there! A friend of mine was decapitated at Dana's Castle so long ago and he got back up like it was nothing! Is this to say that person...was...was Kenshin? ! When did he meet her? ! How did he meet her? !"
"Lilith, get up here!" Rizevim said.
"..." Lilith looked up at him.
"Lilith." Kenshin whispered making her glance at him. "Remember what we talked about, and think hard about it, OK?"
Lilith didn't say anything and flew back up to Rizevim. "Well, that was fun, but I must cut this short and change the stars of the show." Rizevim said before snapping his fingers.
"? !" Everyone looked around as they were suddenly surrounded in a veritable war zone as dragons were wreaking havoc. "Where are we? !" Rossweisse said.
"It looks like the town just a stones throw from Tepes Castle!" Yukari said.
"Funny thing is! The exact same fuckin' thing is happening in the Carmilla Faction lands!" Rizevim smirked.
"What? !" Azazel said.
"Yeah, this is what happened to the vampires that said yes to enhancement!" Rizevim said. "And there was even people on the Carmilla Faction said yes to us!" Rizevim said.
"Shit..." Kenshin growled. He turned to his peerage. "Alright we need to take care of this and fast. Split up in groups of two. Yukari, Miyuki you're a group! Granberia I need you to cover Kazumi. Evangeline Chachamaru, you're a group! Mana you're free to act as you please!"
"What are you going to be doing?" Yukari called out.
"I've got a score to settle." Kenshin said as he flew up toward Rizevim who was currently fighting Vali. He launched himself forward and kicked Rizevim in the face sending him back.
"What are you...?" Vali said.
"Look, normally I'd leave you to your own devices, but this asshole's planning on fucking with one of the reasons I was brought back." Kenshin said. "Besides as it stands you can't beat him right now. Honestly I don't even know if I can."
"You talk as if I was going to tell you to leave. After seeing Hyoudou Issei's attack fail. I know I'm going to need help." Vali said.
"Alright, I'm going to teach you a technique of mine. It won't be enough to kill him, but with your level of demonic power. It should sting him quite a bit." Kenshin said before giving Vali a brief explanation.
"That attack?" Vali asked.
"Yeah. He's gonna be expecting it from me, so I'll divert his barrier." Kenshin said. "Use my distraction to get a lick in on him...and actually I just got an idea." Kenshin said seeing Rizevim flying toward them. "Hit me."
"Wha?" Vali said.
"Hit me, quickly ya dividing prick." Kenshin said.
"...!" Vali's eyes widened in realization and punched Kenshin in the arm.
"You know what to do." Kenshin said as he took off toward Rizevim. "What's the matter old timer? I thought you were stronger than that!" Kenshin said with a smirk.
"Funny! I wasn't the one who DIED in our last fight!" Rizevim said.
"Well then! I might as well make amends for that and turn you into a cadaver then!" Kenshin said as he slashed his sword outward. "Katensho!"
"This again? Won't work!" Rizevim said throwing his hand outward. "I don't even need Lilith to block this!" He said as the flames collided with his barrier.
"Good thing too, ya overconfident prick!" Kenshin said appearing behind him and decking Rizevim in the jaw.
"Argh!" Rizevim growled, releasing Lilith to rub his cheek.
"Here." Kenshin said holding out a candy bar to Lilith. "You can have this if you stand off to the side." He said patting her head with his free hand.
"...OK..." Lilith said taking the candy bar and flying off to the side.
"? !" Rizevim looked over at her flabbergasted. "Lilith, what the hell? !"
"Not a threat." Lilith said pointing at Kenshin.
"What? ! He's trying to kill me!" Rizevim snapped.
"Not threatening to Lilith..." Lilith clarified.
"Grh, damn..." Rizevim growled.
"Tsk tsk tsk...Looks like you've got a bit of a morale issue there man." Kenshin said cracking his knuckles. "Works for me though. Because I need to end you to ensure that beast remains tucked away." Kenshin said with a scowl.
"Funny, doesn't Ophis want Great Red dead too?" Rizevim asked as they started trading punches.
"This isn't about killing Great Red you stupid fuck!" Kenshin said driving his knee into Rizevim's gut.
"Gouh!" Rizevim grunted before driving his elbow into the side of Kenshin's neck.
"Gah!" Kenshin said as they both shoved each other away.
"Then what is it about Kenshin?" Rizevim said with a smirk. "I thought you'd like a good fight, wouldn't the Apocalypse Beast make for a great final opponent?"
"Oh don't you even try to play that card on me you psychotic bastard." Kenshin said with a scowl. "If Trihexa and Great Red try to fight the battle will destroy everything and everyone in existence. Not even Primordials will be spared."
"..." Rizevim stared at him with a pensive look.
"...?" Kenshin arched his brow. "D...Did I get through to him?" He thought.
Then Rizevim smirked. "Now you see that's what I'd expect to hear from someone who wants to keep the Beast sealed away. Don't think you can dissuade me with bullshit Kenshin."
"Ugh! I swear talking to you is like talking to a fucking brick wall!" Kenshin said.
Meanwhile, Issei had just planted a larger Evil Dragon for the Vampires. "Hrm..." He looked around. "Still a lot of action around. Wait!" Issei tapped his fist against his hand. "I know who could give us a hand here. He concentrated.
"Hm? Oh Issei. You haven't called in a while. What's up?"
"I'm kind of in a bind. Evil Dragons are attacking innocent people here. You think you can give me a hand Sheena-San?" Issei asked.
"Well you know I can, but Evil Dragons? You're going to have to clarify this later." Sheena said. "Just give me a second."
A second passed and a large summoning circle appeared under Issei's feet. His eyes widened as he felt himself being lifted off the ground by a giant white tiger with black stripes. "W-Whoa? !" Issei said.
"Direct me, where am I attacking." Sheena said.
"Uh well, the Evil Dragons are attacking the Vampires there. Attack them and try to keep the bulk of them out of town." Issei said.
"Got it, anything else?" Sheena asked.
"Just watch your footing. The Vampires are still fighting out there." Issei said.
"I'll try, but I can make no promises in this form." Sheena said before letting out a roar, running toward one of the larger Evil Dragons and pouncing on it. The Evil Dragon tried to swipe at her only to get it's arms pinned by Sheena's forelegs. Sheena then sunk her teeth into the Evil Dragon's neck and ripped it's throat out. "Issei, do you have anything else for me?"
"N-No, just carry out those orders." Issei said. "Unholy fucking shit Sheena is scary!" He thought.
"Then carry on, leave this rabble to me." Sheena said.
"Alright." Issei said flying into the air. He looked down at the scared vampires. "Hey! The Giant Tigress is on your side!" He said. "Spread the word!" He saw them nod and disperse. A communication circle opened up next to his head. "What is it?"
"You summoned Sheena?" He heard Yukari ask.
"Yeah, I wasn't expecting her to come in as a giant white tiger though." Issei said with a wince.
"Really? Neither Kenshin or Sheena mentioned that she could control the size of her tiger form?" Yukari asked.
"If they did I forgot." Issei said.
"Well, Miyuki says thanks. We needed some big firepower." Yukari said. "Carry on."
"Why don't you summon that ship Surtr-San gave you?" Issei asked.
"I haven't had a chance to properly arm it yet, between the Kuoh attack, training at Dana's and this mess." Yukari said. "Yukari out." She closed the communication circle.
"Oh, if it isn't the Sekiryuutei."
"Hn?" Issei turned around to find Euclid Lucifuge. "Oh, if it isn't Grayfia-San's asshat of a brother." Issei said.
"Nn!" Euclid grunted, a scowl appearing on his face. "No, don't let him get to you Euclid, he's just trying to get under your skin." He thought.
"So what the hell do you want anyway?" Issei asked.
"Oh nothing in particular. I had finished my business here and happened to cross paths with you." Euclid said. "Though this is ironic huh? Vampires who wanted to rid themselves of weakness. Now forced to attack their own homeland."
"That's because you all forced them into this!" Issei shouts.
Euclid lets out a sigh. "My, it's like talking to Kenshin Kuroshi with none of the backsass. Anyway. I've been thinking about this for quite sometime. That the Longinus' and even Kenshin's Elements of Creation and Destruction. They all seem to break the balance of a single important principle, the truth and even the foundation of it. Yes, they give new 'choices' to you for both possessors and the ones around then, they simply chose that 'choice simply by doing that, they collapsed like this."
"Does this guy just like hearing the sound of his own voice? How the hell can he talk like that at a time like this? !" Issei thought with a scowl.
"This might be the result of you, Kenshin and the ones around you that have most likely chosen the new choice." Euclid said.
"Shut the hell up!" Issei said changing his right arm into the Solid Impact form.
"Hmn." Euclid shrugs and throws his silver robe off and prepared to take Issei head on. "Alright then. I suppose you are the best opponent for this. I will show this to you, come out Boosted Gear!"
"? !" Issei's eyes widened in astonishment. "Wh-What the fuck? !"
"Let's take it a step further, Balance Break!" Euclid declared.
"? !" While fighting Rizevim. Vali and Kenshin both felt it.
"Ah that cad. He actually chose to reveal it here." Rizevim said as he knocked Kenshin back.
"What the hell's going on? There's two Sekiryuutei Balance Breaker signatures here!" Kenshin thought.
"What's going on here, making a replica of the Boosted Gear should be impossible!" Ddraig shouted.
"Ah yes, typically it would be, but if we happened along some discarded flesh of a Sekiryuutei possessee...we can at least use the gear itself." Euclid said.
"Discarded flesh?" Issei said.
"Yes, yours to be exact from your old body." Euclid said.
"What? ! My body was destroyed!" Issei said.
"Not all of it." Euclid said, smirking under his helmet.
"Shit, Kenshin did you get that?" Issei said.
"Getting it, still working on believing." Kenshin said through their Boosted Gear connection.
"Ah yes. We tried to do the same with you Kenshin, by synthesizing the cards using some of your blood I collected during our fight, but the elements still won't bend to our will." Rizevim said as the two traded blows.
"You could never use the elements effectively!" Kenshin said driving his elbow into Rizevim's chest. "The Four Spirits would never accept a piece of shit like you!"
"That said, we were unable to copy Ddraig's soul. This is as far as we got." Euclid said.
"Stop talking!" Issei said taking off at Euclid.
"Solid Impact Booster!"
Issei swung his fist at Euclid, the hammer was falling, but.
"Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!"
Euclid's replica Sacred Gear started accumulating boosts. The snow around them was blown away, but Euclid retained next to no damage. "Unbelievable, they actually managed to replicate the Boosted Gear without my presence. This is beyond even what The Almighty was able to do." Ddraig said.
"Hmm, so this is what the crimson armor looks like up close. This is one thing I won't be able to replicate."
"!" Issei doubled over as Euclid's fist laid into him, getting through the crimson armor.
"You know, I've never once though my power pales in comparison to my sister's. This proves that the stronger possessor of the Boosted Gear's Scale Mail. The higher the increase in power will be." Euclid said.
"Che!" Issei grunted
"Star Sonic Booster!"
Euclid watched as Issei flew away, then rounded and flew back at him. He dodged Issei's attempted attack and countered. Issei flew back and cannons appeared from his wings. "Take this! Crimson Blaster!"
"Fang Blast Booster!"
"Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!"
"Dragon Shot was it?" Euclid said as he expelled a silvery red aura. Euclid mimicked Issei's signature attack. When the dust settled after their two attacks collided, Euclid was undamaged.
Issei couldn't hide his frustration. "Even if it's a replica, for fuck's sake he's powerful. Damn it!" Issei thought. "Is this what Kenshin felt when he was fighting his master, and his Dad? !"
"Partner, calm down. I'm pissed off as well, but now's not the time for doubt." Ddraig said. "We will not let this imposter upend us. There are only two Heavenly Dragons and Albion and I are it! No one else! This also includes our wielders! Let's get him!"
At the same time, Rizevim and Kenshin were still dueling. "Gyahahahahaha! You were far stronger when we fought before!" Rizevim said driving his fist into Kenshin's chest.
"Grh!" Kenshin growled and back handed the Son of Lucifer away. He glanced at Vali "Time this right, if you don't then this was all for nothing." Kenshin thought.
As if reading his mind, Vali nodded at him. "I see what he wants of me. He'll divert the bastard's barrier and I'll strike in the opening." He thought, the elements gathered around his fist.
"Why is that? Are you stalling for time? Do you finally realize that unless you're willing to give up everything, that you can't beat me."
"Keep thinkin' that!" Kenshin said slashing Kuroi Jigoku outward, sending a sharp burst of wind at Rizevim.
"Hrm!" Rizevim blocked it with his barrier. "!"
"Haa!" Kenshin rushed forward behind his attack and punched Rizevim in the face. He kept flying at him. "Haven't we been over this Rizevim? ! You can't deter me in this form without your strongest barrier!"
"Heh!" Rizevim said as the two clashed blades, his composed of his mana.
"Ninefold Rakshasa!" Kenshin shouted.
"Nice try, but that isn't going to work this time!" Rizevim said batting Kenshin upward. "Hm?"
"Elemental Spica!"
"Hrnm!" Rizevim grunted and blocked Kenshin's fist. "You won't break through this one boy!"
"Heh!" Kenshin smirked. "I was counting on it! Vali NOW!"
"Haaaaaaa!" Vali yelled out, flying right at Rizevim, his fist cocked back.
"Gh? !" Rizevim grunted.
"Take your pick ya old bastard!" Kenshin said. "You gonna let me or Vali get the lick in! You can only focus your barrier on one of us!"
"So that's it, he knows Vali's weaker than the both of us, so he diverted my attention enough for me to forget about him." Rizevim thought.
"Fine then, you're the bigger threat." Rizevim said, stabbing a mana sword through his barrier to attack Kenshin.
"Still in the Vessel!" Kenshin chided, grabbing the sword with his free hand as it scratched off.
"Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide! Divide!"
"You're joking right Grandson? Your Sacred Gear won't work on me!" Rizevim said.
"Well what if he's not trying to reduce your power huh?" Kenshin asked.
"? !" Rizevim looked up at Kenshin. "Wait, there was...there was a moment when I was flying in at them, where Vali struck Kenshin, I thought it was funny, but really, it was strategic!"
"Take this! Elemental Spica! !" Vali roared, burying his fist into Rizevim's sternum.
"Gulah! !" Rizevim spat out blood as he was sent flying backward. He caught himself and turned to Euclid who was now having trouble fighting Issei who was now making use of tiny little white dragons to reflect Euclid's attacks while Gasper backed him up. "Guah...Euclid let's go for now! We got what we came here for!"
"Yes, Rizevim-Sama!" Euclid said appearing at Rizevim's side.
"You really think you're going somewhere? !" Kenshin said.
"The only place you're going is Death's Door!" Vali said flying at Rizevim.
"I'll see you all later, be sure to keep an ear out for the name Qlippoth~!" Rizevim said as he, Euclid, the Evil Dragons and Negi who was still in the Lightning Cage vanished.
"Damn it! Ruooh!" Vali growled.
"..." Kenshin relaxed and cast off the Vessel. "We'll get him next time."
"We?" Vali asked as he cast off the Balance Breaker.
"Like I said Vali, what he's trying to accomplish is something that I cannot allow as a Primordial." Kenshin said. "The way I see it, we're either racing or working together. Your choice." Kenshin said flying toward Issei. "What are those?" He said pointing at the tiny white dragons.
"Um, well they came from the Dividing Gear." Issei said.
"Hmph, I see." Kenshin said.
(break)
Three hours later.
"All of this happened...our home, it's...it's all gone..." Elmenhilde said, walking around in a state of shock. Most of the vampires were like this.
"..." Kenshin looked around. They had started organizing the vampires into safe zones as soon as it was determined that it was safe to do so.
"So, you think what happened here?" Rias asked.
"Basically? Classic espionage." Kenshin said. "When you need something out of a given area, inhabited by two sides that don't exactly see eye to eye. You leak it to one side that the other is doing this and vice versa. Compounded even further that they were actually doing such things for them under fake aliases. The two sides fight, or fight even more than they had been and you just sit back and watch the conflict burn. It's what the Cosmo Entelecheia did in Mundus Magicus to start the Schismatic War. They got the fighting really going and benefited from it."
"I see...damn them." Rias grunted. "We were completely taken off guard."
"Heh." Kenshin closed his eyes and smirked. "Out of one war, into another. Truly my life has been nearly nothing but conflict. The moments I share with you all taking the pain away."
"Kenshin." Rias said.
"Just musing on my own history. Nothing to worry about." Kenshin said patting her on the shoulder. "Check on your peerage."
"Right." Rias nodded, kissing him on the cheek before leaving. Kenshin walked off and ran into Granberia.
"Oh, Kenshin." Granberia said.
"How is he?" Kenshin asked.
"..." Granberia closed his eyes. "Vali's...pretty upset."
"I don't blame him, but he and I know there will be other opportunities." Kenshin said. "Give him some time. Try asking him for a spar, it might take his mind off things."
"You..." Granberia narrowed her eyes curiously.
"This isn't teasing. I'm just giving advice is all." Kenshin said. "Carry on." He said. He walked past her and met Yukari who was talking with Mana. "What is it?" He asked.
"We went to where we had Negi locked down, only to find her gone." Yukari said.
"That man must have taken her with him when he left." Mana said.
"Hrmn...that's unfortunate." Kenshin said. "Don't let it get to you."
"I'm not, but the more we let Ialda stay in Negi's body..." Yukari said.
"I know." Kenshin said. "We'll figure something out." He started walking away.
"Kenshin." Yukari called out.
"What is it?" Kenshin asked.
"..." Yukari hesitated. "No...how can I tell Kenshin that Ialda's plan is for him to kill Negi..." She thought. "At the very least I can't tell him now!"
"Yukari?" Kenshin said.
"Nevermind. I forgot." Yukari said.
"OK, if you remember, let me know OK?" Kenshin said.
"Alright." Yukari nodded.
"...You lied." Mana said. "You know you have to tell him about what Ialda's plan is."
"I plan on telling him soon, but...not now." Yukari said with a sigh. "Not after all this."
"Very well." Mana nodded.
Kenshin kept walking, running into Miyuki and Chachamaru. "Is there any breaks I should be concerned about?" Miyuki asked.
"No, your body is healed already, the most you'll experience is some mild soreness." Chachamaru said.
"OK that's good." Miyuki said before her eyes landed on Kenshin. "Oh! Onii-Chan, everything alright?"
"Yeah." Kenshin nodded. "What about you?"
"I'm alright." Miyuki said.
"Kenshin-San. Master wants to see you." Chachamaru said pointing to her left.
"Hm?" Kenshin said. "Alright." He walked past them and toward Evangeline who was leaning next to a tree. "Evangeline."
"..." Evangeline glanced over at him, before looked back out at the horizon. "Seems Gasper's moved on from this place."
"Yeah." Kenshin said. "There's nothing here for him, now that he has Valerie back."
"True." Evangeline said with her eyes closed. "It's almost hard to believe that a big battle just took place here. This snow is really misleading."
"It is." Kenshin said.
Evangeline started walking, prompting Kenshin to follow. "Seems we got more work to do." Evangeline said.
"Yup. Well at least we won't be bored." Kenshin said with a light laugh.
"I suppose." Evangeline said. "So, you managed to leap ahead in strength."
"Heheh, yeah." Kenshin said as he made the snow spiral around in his hand with wind magic.
"Still the question remains. How?" Evangeline said.
"You really wanna know?" Kenshin asked as they stopped on a hill overlooking the forests.
"I asked, didn't I?" Evangeline asked.
"I had a run in with a figure from your past. A woman named Dana." Kenshin said.
"..." Evangeline said nothing.
"The fighters of my peerage and Rias' as well as Sextum, Irina, Raynare and Yura from Sona's peerage went to her castle and trained for about a month and half." Kenshin said.
"Why would she be interested in you?" Evangeline asked.
"Sun Wukong apparently asked her to train me." Kenshin said. "Apparently they know each other."
"I see." Evangeline said. "Well, that answers my other question."
"Which was, just for the hell of it?" Kenshin asked.
"Did you meet me in the past somehow. If you were at her castle, it's only logical to assume that you did." Evangeline said.
"Indeed." Kenshin said. He noticed Evangeline turning around. "Where are you off to?" He asked.
"My questions are answered." Evangeline said. "I finally get why I've been seeing you in long forgotten memories." Evangeline said.
"What if I have a question?" Kenshin asked.
"Fine, ask away." Evangeline said keeping her back turned to him.
"Are you sick of waiting?" Kenshin asked.
"Am I sick of...!" Evangeline's eyes widened.
"I...can't face you anymore. I found happiness in life...it's what kept me pushing onward...but...Hell is still there...it is never ending, you know this as well as I do." "So...must I keep walking through this world?"
"Of course! You're supposed to be the Undying Mage, the Maga Nosferatu, the Dark Evangel! You can't let your life end here, before Negi and I have met you!" "If we never met you, I don't want to think about where we'd be."
"I thrust myself into this hell, like you did into yours, I will bear this burden on my own...but...Thank you...Thank you so much for coming to see me...I can't remember the last time...I was this happy."
"You...wait for me! I don't care if you forget my face or how long it takes, remember these words! Stay alive and WAIT FOR ME! !"
Evangeline slowly turned to face Kenshin, her eyes wide in realization. "Y...You...F-Four Hundred and Fifty...years ago...that...that was..."
"Yeah." Kenshin nodded before smiling. "That was me as well." He reached over and set his hand on her shoulder. "!" He felt his mind being pulled into hers.
(flashback)
Four Hundred and Fifty Years Ago.
After Kenshin was pulled back into the present age.
Evangeline stood in her castle after the seam of time was repaired by Kenshin's departure. "The Seam is repaired...what kind of man was he, really?"
She closed her eyes and turned toward the door, walking toward it. "Probably somewhere in the future, I'll meet him again. Will it take decades or centuries to happen..." She sighed as she opened the door, walking out onto one of her castle's towers. "I will continue walking through these moors..." She said as she looked over the horizon.
However as she did, her head bowed forward.. "But..." She trailed off for a moment as tears welled up and started streaming from her eyes. "If...it were possible, I really..."
(flashback end)
"I really..." Evangeline looked up as tears flowed her eyes. "I really wanted to be together with you."
"!" Kenshin's eyes widened slightly as she bowed her head, choking out a few sobs.
"If someone, anyone had just walked with me all that time...I...I'd...!" Evangeline's eyes widened as Kenshin wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into an embrace.
"I know, Evangeline." Kenshin said. "Nothing I can say can take away what you've been through, but I promised I'd be there one day, didn't I?"
"You're too late..." Evangeline said. "I...will..."
"Enough." Kenshin said cutting her off. "The two of us have walked long, bloody paths to get to this point, but that doesn't mean we aren't allowed our happiness."
"Kenshin...?" Evangeline said looking up at him.
"Just do what I do." Kenshin said. "Worry about the forgiveness of those you care about, and to hell with the rest." He smiled.
"..." Evangeline closed her eyes, moving herself closer to Kenshin. "This...isn't a dream is it? I..I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and this never happened?" She felt Kenshin pull away making her look up as he looked down at her with a smile.
"Is this a dream?" Kenshin said before moving his head down, kissing her full on the lips.
"? !" Evangeline let out a gasp at the contact.
"Does that prove my point?" Kenshin asked as he pulled away.
"...Yeah." Evangeline said as a small smile stretched across her face.
"Good." Kenshin said with a grin.
"Look, I know I'll never get you to give up on the rest." Evangeline said. "But it doesn't mean I won't try to get you to myself."
"Hmn." Kenshin shrugged. "Basically what everyone else is trying to do aside from Rias."
"Aside from her?" Evangeline said with an arched brow.
"Believe it or not, Rias wants me to show everyone some love." Kenshin said. "I'll keep her happy, but we agreed on this."
"I see." Evangeline said. "Just, don't expect anything quickly...I want to take some time to get my thoughts in order, and there's the training I'm going to put Gasper and his new girlfriend through anyway."
"You're going to train Valerie?" Kenshin asked.
"Eh, just teach her to control her mana and use it effectively, so she's not relying on that damn Grail." Evangeline said as they started walking back. "If she wants more, she's welcome to it."
"OK." Kenshin said. "But Evangeline."
"Yes?" Evangeline said.
"Take all the time you need." Kenshin said. "I mean...I kept you waiting for four hundred and fifty years. I don't care to wait a little myself."
"Thanks." Evangeline said. "But still...I should at least do something." She said as she stopped, prompting Kenshin to stop.
"Huh?" Kenshin said.
Evangeline slipped her fingers past Kenshin's jawline, grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him into a quick, but deep kiss. "Mmaahh..." Evangeline said, pulling away. "There." She said. "Come on."
(break)
Five Days later.
Late Night.
Kuoh Academy.
"So, that's what's going on?" Alice asked Kenshin as they approached the main hall.
"Yes. Do me a favor and drop a line to Akatama, telling him the goings on of this meeting we're going to. He and the Taiyoukai Council need to know this."
"Right. I was going to anyway." Alice said.
They entered the main hall in Kuoh. Sona, her peerage, Rias and hers, Ravel, Sextum, as well as Kenshin's own peerage were waiting for them. "Where is everyone?" Kenshin asked looking around.
"Still waiting for Sensei, Raynare and Tobio-San." Issei said, Kenshin nodded.
"As well as Sairaorg, his peerage and Seekvaira. She declined to bring her peerage however." Sona said.
"Then there's the Heaven reps." Rias said.
"Arara. Such a high pressure situation." Akeno said.
"From what you told us, I'm not surprised." Tamamo said with a furrowed brow.
"..." Vali leaned against the wall, surrounded by his team.
"Hrm..." Kenshin looked around.
"Is everyone here yet?" Everyone turned to find Seekvaira entering the building.
"Not yet." Rias said shaking her head.
"Well we're getting there." Sairaorg landed behind her, while his peerage warped in, minus a couple.
"What's taking so long?" Dulio said as he entered with Griselda and Irina.
"Have patience." Griselda scolded lightly.
"All we're waiting on now is the Fallen Angels and Sun Wukong." Kenshin said.
"I'm already here." Sun Wukong said stepping past Dulio.
"OK, now it's just the Fallen Angels." Evangeline said.
"We're here." Azazel, Tobio and Raynare warped in.
"Alright. Now that everyone's here, what's the feel up top?" Kenshin asked.
"Well, seeing as this isn't something we can ignore, even the forces that weren't cooperating with us have decided to come to the table." Azazel said. "That bastard Rizevim is trying to cause chaos to both this world and the other world with his dangerous ideals. He already struck a destructive blow in the Vampire's territory. We can't ignore that."
"Anything else?" Hikari asked.
"Well there is a radical opinion from a certain pantheon where they won't think twice about sending their military forces into this matter. Odin and Zeus are giving warnings to them. I won't know what will happen if terrorism greater than this incident continues. After all, the Evil Dragons are dangerous forces from each pantheon and they are causing havoc at once, the one that was leading them is the actual son of the Previous Lucifer. Even those who saw the previous incident of the Underworld's monster crises as something outside their concern feel this is a serious issue. If Trihexa gets revived and starts a fight with the Sekiryuushintei Great Red. The world may collapse due to their aftermath.
"No." Kenshin said.
"No?" Azazel said.
"The world WILL end if they fight." Kenshin said. "It's part of my job as Primordial of Life to make sure that doesn't happen."
"? !" Everyone except Azazel turned to Kenshin in a silent shock.
"Yes, but isn't Great Red himself also a Primordial?" Raynare asked.
"He is, but I'm not going to go looking for him in the void." Kenshin said. "Not when I could be needed here."
"Ahem." Rias cleared her throat. "The forces that weren't that helpful until now, simply observed the situation because their all thought 'Since the Khaos Brigade is only targeting the Three Great Powers, then the Three Great Powers should be the ones dealing with them. However, even though he was in hiding. I heard that the higher ups of each faction know about the danger of the one called Rizevim Livan Lucifer, since he became a terrorist while having such dangerous ideals, no one can ignore him now." Rias explained.
"Damn it." Kenshin growled. "If only I wasn't dying back then, I could have killed him and ended this shit before it became a bigger issue. He was underestimating me almost the entire time, even in the Vessel. I could have taken him by surprise..."
"..." Everyone glances around with uncertainty
"Now we got to trust forces that were more than happy to sell us down the river before." Miyuki said.
"Come on now, don't make such faces, everyone. It's not like we are going to get attacked by the other forces. We all have a common enemy." Azazel said.
"Do you know what happens after that common enemy has been defeated?" Hikari asked.
"Wha?" Azazel said turning toward her.
"The short version is that a lot of infighting takes place and the Alliance falls apart." Evangeline said. "Lots of betrayal, lots of looting too."
"Explain the Youkai Revolution then." Azazel said pointing at Alice.
"Anomaly." Kenshin said. "Besides, they contacted the right group. A group that honestly desires peace and I was there to make the inroads if you recall."
"So what? We continue onward without help?" Azazel asked.
"I'm not saying I'm against it, all I'm saying, to all of you, is be ready. The Alliance of the Three Great Factions might be rock solid, and the alliance with the Norse, Shinto and Greeks are coming along nicely, but what about the Hindu among others. I mean you've even told me yourself that you had suspicions that their god of war, Indra had inroads with the Hero Faction." Kenshin said. "If it all works out, you can rub my face in it."
"Alright." Azazel shrugged. "I get where you're coming from, but have a little more faith."
"Whatever." Kenshin said.
"Michael-Sama is also negotiating with the other forces as a representative of our God. There are many pantheons that are craving for our help. To add, there are forces who have calmed themselves due to Michael-Sama's instruction." Griselda said. "If that eases your concerns, Kenshin-San."
"Well that's good." Kenshin said.
"One more thing. The executives of each faction had a suggestion. Since an incident happened where the territory of the two greatest Vampire Factions got taken down, each of the factions will be on edge, each will have an insanely strong God in their forces, however they have to worry about how people view them so they can't go and take the terrorists down so easily. So the idea is to form..."
"A Guerilla Squadron, basically." Kenshin said.
"A...squad of gorillas?" Irina, Xenovia and Asia said.
(smack)
Kenshin facepalmed. "No, not actual gorillas."
"Basically a group of warriors from each faction under one banner. It's what the Ala Rubra were in Mundus Magicus. They would hit the Cosmo Entelecheia, and hit them pretty hard, then take off after their objective was complete." Evangeline said.
"Indeed. That's what they called us. The Guerilla Fighting Force, Ala Rubra." Hikari said.
"Yes." Azazel said. "We plan to form a counter terrorist team. That team will receive the right to act freely from each faction and it will suit us better, the stronger they are. All of you here had your names suggested for the counter terrorist team. The Devils, Fallen Angels, the Angels, a couple of Vampires, the Youkai, a Valkyrie, a Grim Reaper, a lycanthrope and finally the Dragons. Speaking of which. Kenshin could you summon Tiamat?"
"Fine." Kenshin said extending his hand outward. Tiamat appeared in her human form.
"What is it?" Tiamat asked.
"Azazel asked me to call you forth." Kenshin said.
Tiamat turned to Azazel. "What do you want?"
"We're forming a counter terrorism team out of everyone gathered here." Azazel said. "Can we count on your support when it's called for?"
"Hrmn..." Tiamat glanced back at Kenshin. "Very well." She nodded.
"Also, Kenshin. I got in contact with that Mana woman. She's agreed to help as well." "Azazel said nodding toward Tiamat.
"Alright, well you already have my answer. This is something that must be done." Kenshin said. Tamamo, Yukari and the rest nodded alongside him.
"I agree. Since we are in this situation, we must cooperate with each other." Rias said with her peerage nodding.
"It won't be a problem, I will allow myself to fight alongside Rias, Kenshin Kuroshi and Hyoudou Issei." Sairaorg said.
"I have no objections." Sona said adjusting her glasses.
"I agree, though it would seem like my role is to support everyone from the rear." Seekvaira said crossing her arms.
"I have no objection either. It will be easy to work with the youngsters here, rather than doing this with just an old geezer like myself." Sun Wukong said.
"Makai will support you as well." Alice said.
"Hrm..." Dulio stroked his chin in thought.
"What's up?" Azazel asked.
"I just thought that we need a name." Dulio said. "I mean like Kenshin's mother said. She was in the group Ala Rubra or Crimson Wings, Lady Alice had the Youkai Revolution at her back. Even Kenshin himself was a part of the Rikudou Organization which gathered intelligence in Mundus Magicus.
"DxD." Koneko muttered.
"?" Everyone's eyes landed on her. She noticed this and glanced away shyly.
"Well, since it's a mixed group of people." Koneko said.
"What does it stand for?" Rias asked. "Dragon of Dragon like Great Red?"
"No, it can stand for Devils, also a Dragon, and the word 'Fallen ' of a Fallen Angel, like downfall." Koneko said.
"Well we can forcefully add any names starting with the letter 'D' though it's certain that we need a name. I see, DxD, huh? It's easy to remember while having the meaning of protecting Great Red." Azazel said. "What do you guys think?"
"It will be OK as long as it's not some weird name." Dulio said.
"I don't care what it will be called." Sun Wukong said.
"Wait, won't there be people from other forces who will find it unpleasant if a team like us takes action?" Issei asked.
"Nothing we can do about that." Azazel said. "We need a reason, say Issei, Oppai is justice and you are the Oppai Dragon. What do you think?" Azazel said before pointing at Rias' chest. "Take a gander at her chest.
(crack!)
"!" Issei turned to find Kenshin cracking his knuckles. "Uhm..!"
"Alright." Azazel said pointing at Granberia.
"!" Granberia glowered at Issei.
(crack!)
Issei seemed to be the only one who heard it as he turned to find Vali cracking his knuckles. "Uhh..."
"Alright, fine I'll stop having fun." Azazel said pointing at Irina.
"E-Eeh? !" Irina stepped back.
"...Oppai is justice!" Issei said pumping his fist.
"Ugh." Kenshin grunted. "So who's heading up this outfit?"
"Joker." Azazel said.
"...Eeeeehhhhhhhhh? ! ! M-M-Me? ! Why? ! No, no no, serious! Why is it me? ! Why can't it be Sun Wukong or Kenshin, they've both got leadership experience!"
"Huh, so that's what it looks like from the other end." Kenshin said.
"Heheheh." Sun Wukong snickered.
"Hahahaha." Alice laughed.
"It will be bad for appearances if a Devil or a Fallen Angel to become the leader. From any perspective you have the image of them and us being villains. For that reason an Angel will give us a good image and that will be good. There's no loss for you to take the role. You're even reincarnated from a human, you'll have a good image from the human's point of view as well."
"F-For that reason...n-no. I'm not good at such a role." Dulio said, in inner conflict.
"Dulio, it's an honorable role, you might be able to record your name in history you know? So you should do it. No do it. Since you have the role where you have an image of being the trump card. You should do it." Griselda said.
"Right, listen to your nun girlfriend." Kenshin chided.
"Kenshin." Griselda said turning her head to Kenshin.
"Oh no..." Xenovia thought, afraid for Kenshin.
"Yeas?" Kenshin said with a coy grin.
"Stay silent." Griselda said.
"Sorry, I'm not an altar boy." Kenshin snickered. "It's a joke Griselda, lighten up. Anyway Dulio, if you really want to, you can take the job and delegate the hell out of your duties."
"If it makes you feel any better. I started my stint as Demon Queen as a figurehead, leaving most things to the Council until I got acclimated to the job." Alice said.
"A-Alright! Alright, I'll do it!" Dulio said.
Azazel turned to Kenshin. "Speaking of, want to resume your role as Vice Commander?"
"No." Kenshin shook his head. "If Dulio is to be leader, he needs a wise mind behind him. I nominate Sun Wukong."
"He's right, and it's fine. It's natural for the young one to become the leader. I wouldn't even have said anything if you put the position on Kenshin-boy. I'll have myself act as more of a symbol toward the enemies where they would feel afraid."
"Right." Azazel said before turning toward Vali. "Vali. I will nominate you and your team to join this mixed team in order to become the man-power against the plan Rizevim is trying to carry out. By doing that. I will attempt to rid you of any bit of distrust you guys have."
"..." Seekvaira remained silent, glancing at them.
Issei noticed this and approached her. "Seekvaira."
"?" Seekvaira responded to his whisper. "What?" She whispered back.
"Vali was mainly following Ophis, who has also come to our side. He can be trusted." Issei said.
"I'll help out to this point." Kenshin said.
"..." Vali closed his eyes.
"Albion, that's what Azazel is saying, are you dissatisfied with teaming up with your old nemesis?" Vali thought.
"I don't mind, by the way Red wone, this time let's discuss about the battle a thousand years ago." Albion said through their connecting to Issei.
"Oooh! Good one!" Ddraig said. "Anyway. I don't care either."
"You two are getting along pretty well." Vali said with a confused tone.
"Ragnarok would be so proud." Kenshin chided.
"We are not afraid of breasts and butts if both of us are here, right Red one?" Albion asked.
"Yeah, whether it's Oppai or hips, bring it! We won't lose to such things!" Ddraig said.
"Right!" The NiiTenryuu Chorused.
"Hahahahaha." Tiamat laughed. "The Sekiryuutei, losing his wits over breasts. A depraved pervert and pathetic all in one."
"Hey! Don't make me come out of this gauntlet and tear you a new one bitch!" Ddraig said.
"Oh please do, I've been waiting forever to kick your ass!" Tiamat said.
"Neh heh heh." Kenshin snickered at the predicament.
"Haa..." Seekvaira sighed and then turned to Issei with a smile. "OK, I'll take your word for it."
"Believe me. Vali's not as bad as he's made out to be." Issei said with a grin.
"Alright." Seekvaira said. "Hey, while I'm here, we should do something together." She whispered. "It's been awhile."
"Heheh, you know Seekvaira, if you want to spend time with me you just need to get in touch with me." Issei grinned.
"I know, but we've both been busy." Seekvaira said, capping her statement with a kiss on the cheek.
"Alright." Issei said embracing her with one arm.
"Hmn..." Seekvaira smiled at the closeness between them. "So, he has missed me a bit huh? That's good. He still desires me." Seekvaira thought.
"Huh, for the destined fight between the Two Heavenly Dragons to end like this..." Sairaorg said.
"Huh, if only I thought of it sooner." Azazel said with an astonished voice.
"Well you can think about that over dinner tonight." Hikari said walking by him.
"Huh?" Azazel said.
"What? You've been working pretty hard lately." Hikari remarked with a smile. "It's time you had a good meal."
"..." Azazel turned toward her with a grin. "Looking forward to it."
"..." Kenshin closed his eyes, seeing this, shaking his head with a smirk.
"It's OK, right Kenshin?" Yukari said lowly, putting her hand on her brother's shoulder.
"Yeah, he better treat Mom right though or we're gonna be short one member." Kenshin said.
"Heheheheheh." Azazel chuckled before approaching the Vali Team. He approached Achilla. "So you're the newest recruit to Vali's team. Why?"
"Well for one. He promised me that there would be strong opponents to fight." Achilla said pointing at Vali. "For two, this one here interests me." She said smacking Bikou on the back.
"Hahahaha! I see." Azazel laughed as Bikou glared at her from the side.
"What?" Achilla said. "You know you want to lord over me, why else would you keep coming." She added with a smirk, smacking her hand against her armor.
"That armor, it's the same Achilles wore before he died." Azazel said. "The set forged by Hephaetus himself? Though it's obviously been refitted for a female."
"Indeed. I'm kind of wondering why he bothered though. I mean he was supposed to be invulnerable wasn't he?" Achilla said.
"He was invulnerable to a point. If he lost enough blood he could still die." Azazel said. "That's why he bothered with the armor and shield. It was just damn difficult to get the bastard to bleed."
"I see." Achilla said with a nod. "So even though I'm relatively strong, I've been made to bleed."
"Just remember to guard your weakest point." Azazel said.
"The right heel, I know." Achilla said.
"Really? For Achilles it was the left." Azazel said.
"I don't know why it's the right for me, but whatever." Achilla shrugged.
"Oh, by the way. Vali, Odin has decided to take you as his adopted son." Azazel said.
"Hm?" Vali said.
"Can't it be you Sensei? You're the one who raised him." Issei said.
"Meh, it connects to the same reason why a Devil or a Fallen Angel can't be the leader of our organization." Azazel said.
"Very well, I'll cooperate to an extent, but I will act on my own beyond that." Vali said.
"Hyoudou Issei." Arthur said.
"Wha?" Issei said.
"If you don't have a magician summoner yet. I recommend making her your summoner." Arthur said pushing his sister Le Fay forward.
"U-Umh...well..." Le Fay said shyly.
"I've been recommending the same Arthur." Kenshin said.
"Oh, good." Arthur said with an appreciative smile.
"Alright, Kuroka and Le Fay will be staying at the house for the most part." Azazel said.
"I will summon them if I need them however." Vali said.
"Bikou, I will summon you if it's necessary, I won't allow you to ignore it." Sun Wukong said.
"I'll keep that in mind...damn geezer." Bikou grumbled.
"Oh just humor him." Achilla said smacking Bikou on the back.
"So how is this group going to move?" Issei asked.
"It's an organization." Kenshin said crossing his arms. "Each group will generally have their own task. Some tasks will be the same as others."
"Right." Azazel nodded.
"By the way. Are there any of you youngsters that want to get stronger?" Snn Wukong asked.
"!" Rias rounded on Sun Wukong. "What do you mean by that?"
"I will train all of you from scratch. There's no point to this team if the bulk of you can't even defeat a High Class Devil or a High Level Angel. I will eventually have each of you reach the strength of an Ultimate Class."
"...Uh...what if we're already there?" Kenshin asked.
"Then I'll have you start approaching the higher status." Sun Wukong said.
"Alright! I'm in!" Kenshin said with a smirk.
"Fine. I can't have Kenshin getting too far ahead of me." Yukari said.
"I think most of us are." Miyuki said.
"Alright, let's do it. I won't lag behind." Rias said.
"Very well." Akeno said with most everyone in the room nodding.
"Alright, maybe getting stronger will prevent my sister from worrying so much." Sona said.

"Looks good." Kenshin said. "Because we're an organization it probably wouldn't be a good idea for us all to travel together as one big group all the time. Someone with enough power could take us all out if they wanted."
"Right, we should split up and act as we always have, but keep your lines of communication open." Azazel said.
"Right." Everyone nodded. The Heaven Reps, minus Irina, and Tobio left.
Issei approached Ravel. "Ravel I've decided on the magician I want."
"Alright, you." Ravel said turning to Le Fay who had accompanied him. "I want either all your information for review or to have a discussion with you."
"E-Eh?" Le Fay said. "A-Alright."
"..." Kenshin walked outside and looked up at the moon.
"Is everything alright?" He turned his head to find Sona approaching him.
"Yeah, I just needed some quiet to mull things over." Kenshin said.
"Like?" Sona asked as she walked up to him. "Tell me, maybe I can help you figure some of it out."
"Heh." Kenshin said, his eyes closed with a smile. "Not a lot to figure out. I'm just thinking is all."
"Well what about then? Keeping it to yourself isn't good, and we are a group now." Sona said.
"Well, one I'm thinking about how stupid I was for even trying to reason with that psychopath." Kenshin said.
"Rizevim?" Sona asked.
"Yeah. I told him straight up what would happen if he brought Trihexa back. He laughed in my face and told me I was lying." Kenshin said.
"Well there's just some people you can't reason with." Sona said. "You seem to know about Trihexa, can you fill us in?"
"All I know is that if it and Great Red fight, that the greater issue for us is that we're fucked." Kenshin said. "Other than that I know as much as you do."
"I see." Sona said. "Anything else?"
"Yukari told me that Negi Ialda resurrected two Ala Rubra members." Kenshin said. "If that's the case, I worried about whom else she can revive to do her bidding."
"I see, that is concerning, given what we've already faced from them." Sona said. "You're worried you might have to face your father again?"
"No. Yukari told me that Ialda told her that she had no interest in reviving my father, that it was too risky for her." Kenshin said shaking his head. "The ones I'm worried about are Eishun Konoe, who Yukari faced, and Nagi Springfield. Negi's Dad."
"This Thousand Master I read about while we were in Mundus Magicus?" Sona asked.
"That title is a load of crap." Kenshin said shaking his head. "He's extremely powerful, but he hasn't mastered a thousand spells."
"Shouldn't he be able to resist her then?" Sona asked.
"You'd ask a father to kill his only daughter?" Kenshin asked.
"...Good point." Sona said with her eyes closed. She turned to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Kenshin, don't think you're alone in this, or that your peerage is alone in this. If you need help, all you need to do is ask."
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind Sona." Kenshin said with a smile.
"Hmn." Sona smiled back and leaned up, kissing Kenshin' on the cheek.

Edge of the Realm of the Dead.
A figure with a buzz cut hair style, wearing circular sunglasses a jewel around his neck, an aloha shirt and leisure pants was standing at the gate when someone came out of them. "Hahahaha! You're awfully quick. I didn't expect you getting out of there so soon, how was the Realm of the Dead Cao Cao?"
Standing in front of this figure was indeed Cao Cao, whose outfit was damaged in some spots. "For the God that dropped us in there to ask my opinion, you sure are a horrible God Sakra-Sama."
Sakra, as he was called casually, his true name being Indra, God of War, Storms, Rainfall, and King of the Devas ignored Cao Cao's barb. "So tell me where are Georg and Leonardo?"
"Georg started researching magic down there and won't be back for awhile. Leonardo decided to stay with him." Cao Cao asked.
"Hahahaha! Longinus users sure are difficult to understand. Very well, a deal's a deal." Indra said as he tossed Cao Cao a familiar spear. The True Longinus. "Your Longinus in particular is back where it subjectively belongs."
Cao Cao tapped it against his shoulder. "...And what's to stop me from using it against you?"
"Because I know you're not an idiot." Indra stated. "It would be nothing for me to strike you down."
"Hrmn..." Cao Cao grunted. "You're right, so what's been happening since I've been gone?"
"You actually have pretty good timing. I will have you join the newly minted DxD organization. I'll run it by the other forces and get them to accept. They should, you are after all a human that was chosen by the holy spear. Slaying some evil dragons and a Lucifer should do you well."
"Hmn...evil dragons and a Lucifer huh?" Cao Cao said.
"Hm?" Indra said glancing over to his left. "What's this?" He said seeing a figure approaching.
"Hm?" Cao Cao looked over. "Isn't that the Shinigami that helped Heaven in the Three Factions War?"
"What's he doing down here? I know his 'City' is connected to here, but what brings him here?" Indra said with narrowed eyes. "What brings you here Shinigami?" He asked.
"What? I can't have a word with a fellow God of Death?" Yama said with a calm look.
"You never have before." Indra said crossing his arms. "Come to think of it, you Primordials are supposed to be against the revival of Trihexa, yet you've aligned yourself with Rizevim Livan Lucifer. My own self preservation dictates that I should take you down." Indra said.
"You sure you want to do that?" Yama said with a smirk, calling his scythe to his side. "You're already in a bit of a bad light as it is. Causing a ruckus in what is still technically considered the Underworld wouldn't be good. It wouldn't bother me much because I could just dive through the portal and go back home, but you, not so easy for you, is it? Mt. Sumeru is an awfully long way from here, and you're probably not meant to be here anyway."
"..." Indra scowled, but said nothing.
"Then how about me, Shinigami?" Cao Cao said pointing his spear at Yama.
"Oh my, is that the actual Lance of Longinus?" Yama said. "The spear that contains the Almighty's will? How interesting."
"..." Cao Cao said nothing.
"Well, I'll let you in on a secret." Yama said cracking his neck with a smirk. "I was there when that particular Primordial ended up in the state he's in today."
"? !" Cao Cao's eyes widened.
"Hold on, you're saying you were there when God lost his life?" Indra asked.
"He didn't lose his life, at least not in the traditional sense. It's hard to live in the traditional sense when your physical being has been shattered." Yama said.
"Hrm, why doesn't he reincarnate like Ragnarok did then?" Indra asked.
"Oh reasons that would fly over your heads." Yama said. "He's content to just exist in the state he's in it would seem, besides I figured you'd support this Indra, with God gone, the Angels claim to Heaven is awfully weak compared to your own, isn't that right Emperor of Heaven?" Yama chided with a smirk.
"Tch." Indra grunted. "Well then, why the support for Trihexa's revival?"
"Unsealing." Yama said. "And why would I tell you? I've nothing to gain from it. See you later." He said disappearing and reappearing behind the two, walking into the doorway into the Realm of the Dead.
"Krh. Cocky bastard." Indra grunted.
"Do you think what he said is true?" Cao Cao asked.
"I don't know and I don't care. I'll warp us to Mt. Sumeru, then you can get a move on." Indra said.
The two disappeared from the Realm of the Dead, wondering what the Shinigami meant by what he said.
