The Battle in Heaven

Cao Cao and Ladon were battling against one another while Jeanne, Chachamaru, Kiba, Rias, Akeno, Koneko, Gasper and Rossweisse all fought the other Evil Dragons, when suddenly a trio of loud roars resounded.

They all looked over seeing not one but three Grendels emerge from a nearby Dragon's Gate.

"Are you kidding me? !" Kazumi shouted.

"You...how did you manage that?" Rias asked with a scowl.

"How you ask? They were manufactured using Grendel as the base, they're still being fine tuned, but they look good yes?" Ladon asked.

"Great..." Kiba thought. "Now we have to deal with not only Ladon, but now three Grendels...that makes four Legendary Evil Dragons."

"Heheheheh..."

"!" Kiba looked over and saw Cao Cao smiling defiantly. "Interesting...more Evil Dragons to defeat..." Cao Cao said before looking over to Rias. "Rias Gremory, Ladon has some unusual barrier covering his body and there are three of Grendel...what do you make of this?"

"I know that ordinary attacks won't be effective against his barrier." Rias said.

Cao Cao's smile turned bitter in response. "For someone whose called the Ruin Princess...you sure don't have much confidence."

"Gee thanks for that..." Rias said sarcastically. "All my opponents lately have been legendary figures, so sometimes I just don't like my chances."

"Yet you bravely stood at his side and fought that LifeMaker woman. Why is this any different? You are Kuroshi Kenshin's partner, so you should be more confident like him." Cao Cao chastised before turning back to Ladon. "I'll pierce open his defense. The rest is up to you."

Rias looked at him in confusion. "I don't understand, are you doing this to help me? Does Indra gain anything from this? You seem quite confident...are you looking down on me?" She said with a small glare.

Cao Cao shook his head. "No. Both now and in the past, I look at you with respect...even you are enemies to be feared. Yet, opponents such as this should be taken care of by the current hero, I...who was once a fallen man...no matter. It's too early to make new excuses. When the holy spear comes from behind, be glad."

Rias let out a sigh. "Yes...I don't like your view, but if the holy spear were to be used..it would be our chance.

Meanwhile Jeanne was battling one of the Grendels. "Haaaa!" She cried out, showering it in blades. But it merely shrugged these off and blasted a fireball at her. "Ghh!" She raised her dragon up to take the blast. Gunshots were heard and she turned to find Chachamaru wielding two large rifles.

"No good...the dragon slaying bullets aren't effective enough unless I hit a tender spot." Chachamaru said with an analytical gaze. She glanced over and saw Mana along with the others battling another Grendel. She saw the look on Mana's face as she aimed toward spots that Akeno, Koneko, or Rossweisse struck with their magic. It was seeming to have an effect.

"Hey, any ideas?" Jeanne asked, flying up next to her with her Balance Breaker.

"Hrm...One, but we need an extra attacker." Chachamaru said.

"I could help." The two turned to see Gasper.

"Gasper-San. Are you sure?" Chachamaru asked.

"I could use the spells Evangeline-Sensei's been teaching me, and play in some freezing with my eyes, but...something that size...I don't think I can hold it for long." Gasper said.

"We don't need that long." Jeanne said nodding with a smile.

"Alright." Chachamaru said. "I'm already promoted to Queen...and if need be I can use a special ability I received from the Grigori, but it's a last resort. If I use it, my energy stores will be close to empty."

"Energy Stores? What are you talking about?" Jeanne asked.

"Chachamaru-San is a gynoid." Gasper answered.

"Eh?" Jeanne said with a surprised look. "Wait...like an actual robot?"

"Yes, but the fact that Kenshin-San was able to make me into one of his pawns means I have something of a soul."

"Huh...man, A Shinso Vampire, several high power demons including one of the first to ever exist...Kuroshi Kenshin's group is frightening." Jeanne said with a sweatdrop.

"Well, your group is comprised mainly of reincarnated heroes from the past...I'm not sure you're one to talk." Gasper said.

"Hahaha." Jeanne responded by laughing. "True."

"Alright, let's get to work." Chachamaru said reloading her rifles. "Gasper-San, open with a spell from Master, and then Jeanne-San. You follow up with a barrage of holy swords of the opposite element." Chachamaru said before looking at the now charging Grendel copy's left leg. "Gasper-San, aim a spell for it's left hip."

"Right!" Gasper said, going into a chant. "Nivis Tempestas Obscurans!"

The Grendel copy roared in pain as the spell of darkness and ice slammed into it's left leg. Chachamaru turned to Jeanne. "Now! Light it up!"

"Right!" Jeanne said flying to the copy's left and showering it in holy blades of fire.

"Hrmn!" Chachamaru immediately opened fire on the target.

"G-Grrraahhh!" The Copy Grendel shouted out in pain. "Grrrhhhh!" It turned and fired off a massive fire ball at the three of them.

"Gasper-San! Freeze it with your Sacred Gear! Jeanne-San! Give him a ride!" Chachamaru said as she flew out of the way.

"Right, hop on!" Jeanne said.

"Right!" Gasper said flying onto Stake Victim Dragon while focusing on the attack as they flew around it.

"Ok! We're out of the way, let it go!" Jeanne said.

"But there's a building behind it!" Gasper said.

"Leave that to me." Jeanne said hopping off her dragon and landing on the ground under the fireball. "Blade Blacksmith! Holy Swords of Ice!" Numerous light blue blades shot out of the ground and stabbed into the time frozen fireball. "Let it go now!"

"O-Ok!" Gasper said, canceling his Forbidden Balor View. "H-Huh?" He said in surprise as the fireball began to freeze over.

"What can I say. Make anything cold enough and it can be frozen...even flames." Jeanne said with a demure smirk as she commanded Stake Victim Dragon to come down and pick her up. She told Gasper this as she hopped back on.

"Hrm..." Chachamaru saw the copy Grendel limping. "Hrm...Grendel-B is damaged...but...I don't think this is enough...I don't have that much ammo."

"Hrm...I see..." Jeanne said. "What do you suggest?""

"Hrm...Gasper-San...how long do you think you can freeze that Grendel?" Chachamaru asked.

"U-Um...I-I think at best I could only freeze it after imbibing Virgin's Blood..." Gasper said. "I've gotten better at controlling it sure, but I don't have any on me."

"Well, I could offer up a bit of mine." Jeanne said.

"...Yes, but the spirit of Balor, which Gasper inherited along with Forbidden Balor View. It causes him to become violent, you'll have to subdue him after what I'm about to do." Chachamaru said.

"I see." Jeanne said with a nod as a rapier appeared in her hand. "Don't worry. I'll just knock you out." She said to Gasper as she sliced a wound into her hand. "Nnh..." She extended her bleeding hand to Gasper. "Here."

Gasper reached forward, slurping up Jeanne's blood. "Nnn? !" Gasper backed away and took out a vial of blood and drank that as well.

"What was that? !" Jeanne asked with wide eyes.

"It was the blood of either Kenshin-San or Issei-San, the Dragon of the Elements or the Sekiryuutei. It makes his Sacred Gear stronger." Chachamaru said. "After he freezes that Grendel-B. I'll grab Gasper-San after you knock him out, but before that. "I need you to pin Grendel-B down with holy sword. Are the smaller one's your limit?"

"Right now yes." Jeanne said glancing away. "But! I can transform Stake Victim Dragon into several giant swords by sacrificing it's body."

"That's perfect!" Chachamaru said with wide eyes. "Get it ready! Gasper-San! Do it now!"

"Hrrrrggghhhh!" Gasper growled, as his eyes focused on Grendel-B. The Evil Dragon Copy getting frozen in time.

"Hrm!" Jeanne extended her hands forward. "Go! Stake Victim Dragon! Become the Stake Victim Blades!"

The Stake Victim Dragon transformed into several large blades as she caught Gasper who was still scowling at Grendel-B with his Sacred Gear active. "Go!" She commanded her blades to stab into Grendel-B, pinning it to the ground.

"Haa...Haa..." Chachamaru panted as electricity crackled around her body.

"What is it Chachamaru? !" Jeanne said before looking down at Gasper who was still panting.

"I...think I can control it better than ever before..." Gasper said. "I'll be fine...What's happening to Chachamaru-San?"

"This is the upgrade the Grigori gave to me." Chachamaru said, her chest glowing, close to her abdomen. "Whenever Issei-San would recharge my energy stores, he'd always go overboard...it was getting to be too much to vent out, and I worried about how much damage it would do to my bodies. So before the attack on Auros. I asked Raynare-San and Azazel if they could do anything about it. Raynare-San actually came up with a way to contain the power. To build a secondary core in my body to hold all the excess power...and Azazel improved on it, by finding a way to remove my limiters..." Chachamaru said. "Remove Limiters for one hundred and eighty seconds! Over Limit Al-Iskandariya!"

A button switch with the shape of a cute cat head appeared in Chachamaru's left hand as she pointed it at Grendel-B. "Target Acquired, power at one thousand percent! Fire...NOW!" She yelled. (1 )

A massive beam of light slammed into Grendel-B, making him cry out in pain, which quickly died out. When Chachamaru's beam died down. Grendel-B was no more. Jeanne rushed over with Gasper and caught her as she started to fall. "Wow, you're...surprisingly light."

Chachamaru smiled. "I was...made out of durable, but lightweight materials." She said. "B...Bring me to where the others are."

"Chief Rias." Gasper said through a communication circle. "We've defeated one of the Grendels."

"I see that! Nice work!" Rias said.

At the same time as the three's battle against Grendel-B. Cao Cao appeared next to Kiba. "Kiba, can your legs run any further?" He asked.

"My legs will carry me as far as I need them to." Kiba said.

"Good." Cao Cao said looking over. "Kenshin's pawn and Rias' Bishop are flanking Jeanne to help take out that Grendel. It maybe mass produced, that is still the legendary Evil Dragon Grendel. Even at a normal level, it's flames will turn most anything to ashes."

"Well then." Kiba said, bringing out the Gram, it released a dark aura.

"..." Cao Cao glanced at the Demonic Emperor Sword. "Hrm...just like Siegfried in the earlier days...hm?" Cao Cao watched as Kiba wrapped the Gram in a holy sword. "That's an interesting approach...but is your value dependent on that sword?" Cao Cao asked.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kiba grunted.

"Hmn...well in any case that's good, you got irritated when I said that, meaning it probably isn't...no matter what the situation is, you come up with something. Does your caliber live up to the name of the House of Gremory though?" Cao Cao asked.

"Is he observing my technique, does he see another way to use the Gram?" Kiba thought. "His skills are indeed above mine, it wouldn't be a stretch to say his skills are on par with Kenshin-kun's. With just a glance he is able to deduce that...He won't even tell me, which just like Kenshin-kun is proof he's testing me." Kiba thought before remembering something Kenshin told him.

"Sheathing the Gram in a holy sword is an interesting idea...but doesn't it ultimately limit the Gram's attack power? It's a demon sword...wrapped in holiness. That has to weaken it." Kenshin thought. "...I have an idea..."

"Th-Then? !" Kiba remembered saying.

"But...if you don't discover it for yourself. You won't grow as a Knight or a Warrior." Kenshin said. "Trust me Kiba...most of my training with Shin Tatsu and Ragnarok's scroll clone was trial by fire...I had to keep fighting to ultimately get it. If you were expecting a better answer...you should have asked someone else."

"So this is what he meant..." Kiba thought.

"Yuuto Kiba I will charge in. Don't let him get away when he's weak." Cao Cao said, tapping his spear against his shoulder.

"You think I'll let the chance escape me when it's there? You seem fairly confident about this...are you going to reveal his weakness?" Kiba asked.

Cao Cao let out a pleased grin. "Don't get me wrong...that's an interesting idea...but aiming at a dragon's weakness is not a skill of a hero..."

Kiba looked on as several orbs appeared behind him. "That's his Balance Breaker!" Kiba thought. "It's...so quiet, yet against his enemies it could instill immense fear in others.

"? !" The two of them look over, seeing Chachamaru obliterate Grendel-C. Jeanne and Gasper carry her back to Rias, Kazumi and the others. "Jeanne! Back to straggler duty! Don't give these mass produced Evil Dragons any time to think!"

"Right!" Jeanne said.

"Gasper!" Rias said. "It's time to transform, go back and help Akeno's group!"

"Don't worry about it." Mana said through a magic circle. "If he's tired let the boy rest."

"I was wondering about this...when did you get here Mana-San?" Rias asked.

"Kenshin and Azazel hired me, but gave me free reign to act as I please, so I followed you all like a shadow, remaining as noticeless as possible." Mana said. "Kenshin seemed to always know I was there though. He even got an extra halo for me."

"I see..." Rias said.

Mana's voice then took on a deadpan. "Though his excuse was that I was terribly shy."

"Well, you are always hiding in the shadows." Rias chided.

"...You know I could turn this rifle I'm holding on you." Mana stated impassively.

"Turn your weapon on the fiancee of the one who hired you? Sounds like a good way to get fired." Rias said.

"Tch..." Mana grunted. "Anyway...this dragon...or copy of a dragon...isn't it supposed to have like insane defense? Back in Auros, I remember Kenshin, Issei and that Sairaorg person having trouble dealing damage. Yet if I time my shots with these three's direct attacks, I've been able to wound him."

"Well you are using dragon slaying bullets." Rias said

"Gremory Household member. I will charge in, when you see an opening, take it." Cao Cao said to Kiba before glancing in Mana's direction. "You help him as well with your expert sniping."

"Right." Mana said.

The two remaining copies of Grendel block Cao Cao's path. Their bodies protected by an orange magical barrier.

"You think I'm going to let what that robot did happen again?" Ladon said.

"? !" Mana looked over seeing Gasper transform into a beast of darkness which screamed toward Grendel-A. Grendel-A avoided this, but Koneko leaped out, in her Shirone form and closed the distance instantly to punch Grendel-A in the abdomen with a Senjutsu infused fist. Grendel-A's body wavered. Koneko nodded and jumped back.

"It works! They my have great defensive power, but it's nowhere near that actual Grendel's!" Koneko shouted.

Mana smirked. "I see, so just soften them up and let em have it." Mana said sniping multiple rounds into Grendel-A's stomach.

"Guuaahh!" Grendel-A gasped out.

Mana stood up. "Rias Gremory, if you don't mind. I'm going on ahead to help Kenshin." She said taking out a charm.

"That's fine, go ahead. We hope to be up there shortly." Rias said.

"Very well." Mana said before her charm shined and she disappeared.

"Huh? Mana?" Kenshin said, seeing her run alongside him and his peerage.

"Your future wife is doing fine, especially with that Cao Cao character and that Jeanne woman there. I thought it more prudent to come protect my employer." Mana said with a smile, toting her rifle behind her back.

Kenshin nodded with a smile. "Thank you Mana...alright, if you see...any Kuroshi or Tsuki clan members...you are to shoot to kill."

Mana could hear the pain in Kenshin's voice, even as he tried to mask it. "I understand, let me take as much of this burden off of you as I can."

"Again...thank you, just leave RyuuTaisho to me. You already have his description." Kenshin said.

"If you insist." Mana said with her eyes closed.

Meanwhile Kiba stood in front of Grendel-C and began slashing at it. Mixing actual slashes with feints. Though Grendel-C's body was large, it's movements were like the real thing. "I see, they sacrificed durability for speed, but...thanks to my training with Kenshin-kun and his sisters. I can tell it's reactions are horribly slow! Even my feints are connecting!" Kiba thought as he zoomed out of the way of Grendel-C's fist and quickly took it's back and slashed, releasing Gram from it's shell for a moment, leaving a massive wound on Grendel-C's back. "Haaaa!" Kiba roared as he stabbed Gram into the wound. "I won't hold back!" Kiba thought. "I will find your weaknesses!"

Akeno and Rossweisse called out to each other as the former flew upward, to the center of the sky of Second Heaven, gathering Lightning on her fingertips, as Rossweisse drew magic circles while chanting.

"Go Holy Lightning!" Akeno said as Kiba leaped out of the way.

"Iovis Tempestas Fulgriens! Norse Lightning! Burn this Evil Dragon!"

Both Akeno's and Rossweisse's magics struck at the same time. This in addition to the Gram's aura made Grendel-C spit out a massive amount of blood. "Koneko-Chan was right. These Grendel clones are easy to dispose of." Kiba thought. "Even with Ladon's magic barrier."

Meanwhile the battle between Grendel-A and Rias was well under way. Koneko leaped forward, launching her purifying flames in her Shirone form into all four of his limbs. Gasper, in his dark beast form assaulted him from the front.

"A mere evil dragon like you...is nothing against me!" Gasper roared making Grendel-A stagger backward. Grendel-A tried to evade the next attack, but Gasper manipulated the shadow of the copy dragon and pulled it toward him, landing crushing blow after crushing blow. "Issei-Senpai! Kenshin-Senpai! Thank you for training with me! If I had swords I'd use them, but I'm just fine using my fists!" Gasper thought.

"Haaaa!" Rias shouted out, barraging Grendel-A's body at the same time.

"My my..." Chachamaru said.

"What is it?" Kazumi asked.

"It seems if we end up in one of these Rating Games against Rias-San...she'll be a difficult opponent." Chachamaru smiled.

"Alright, it's time for me to move." Cao Cao said, moving, almost dancing between the attacks from both sides. Moving toward the wounded Grendel-C and Ladon. "Haaa!" Cao Cao sent his Balance Breaker's seven treasures at them, slipping by Grendel-C and attacking Ladon's barrier.

"Grrrhhh..." Ladon growled impatiently as he tried to follow the random motion of the orbs. "Damn it..."

"Hahaha." Cao Cao laughed. "What's wrong Ladon? Can't keep up with me? A mere human?" He sneered.

"Tch." Ladon grunted, feeling the pressure, his calm persona from before was gone. Cao Cao's swift movements allowed him to brush past Grendel-C and attack Ladon directly with numerous continuous thrusts of his spear. Cao Cao was quick...yet there were no wasteful movements. However Ladon's barrier was still protecting him. "Little wasted movement when he is calm. Ialda was able to get inside Kenshin-kun's head, but Cao Cao and Kenshin fight the same." Kiba thought.

However, for a brief moment Ladon's barrier disappeared before reappearing. "Heheh...Such a shame Cao Cao...even if your attacks are fast...they won't touch me."

"Heh." Cao Cao smirked.

"I won't let you get in their way!"

Everyone else jumped in and began helping take Grendel-C and Ladon down. "Hrrrrggghh!" Kiba growled after releasing the Gram's aura rushing forward with Akeno and Rossweisse at his sides.. "Focus! Focus! Control this sword! He managed it, so can you!" Kiba thought, his thoughts moving toward Siegfried.

"Haaaa!" Akeno sent her lightning toward Grendel-C, leaving him briefly paralyzed. Rossweisse leaped above Akeno and extended her hand. "Nivus Casus!"

Grendel-C's feet were frozen to the ground by bitter cold. Kiba's eyes narrowed with determination as he rushed forward, releasing the Gram's energy directly at Grendel-C. Just as Kiba reached and was about to strike Grendel, he released the holy sword covering he had on it and swung downward as he slashed downward, cleaving a deep cut into Grendel-C's chest. "Blade Blacksmith! Glory Drag Troopers!" Kiba shouted as his troopers endlessly assaulted Grendel-C before leaping off to help Jeanne with clean up duty. Kiba snapped his fingers as he leaped off of Grendel-C who began to expand before splitting apart and disintegrating.

"!" Kenshin paused in his ascent and looked backward. "Hmn." He smirked feeling Kiba's Gram activate and one of the Grendel signature's vanish. "You go Kiba."

"Oi Kenshin! Don't fall behind!" Issei said.

"Right Right!" Kenshin said.

"Such a powerful attack is unprecedented from Kiba..." Rossweisse said.

"Even Rossweisse-San agreed with my thoughts." Kiba thought looking down at the Gram. "This is indeed a brutal war, and unlike the Youkai Revolution, we don't have an army to rely on to prevent us from being worn out...that much showed against Ialda Baoth and her shadow demons!" Kiba smiled. "No matter what happens we will definitely help each other, so we can all live together. I will keep this promise, and use any means possible to eliminate my enemies. I will keep this promise! Issei-kun! Kenshin-kun!"

"Rrrrrooooouuuuuhhhh!" Gasper's beast form bit into Grendel-A's shoulder and created another dark beast that slipped into Grendel-A's body. As a result Grendel-A's upper body was blown apart, Gasper's body was soaked and covered in blue blood, but he kept beating Grendel A, making him to the ground, his dying gasp being to exhale flames.

To make sure, Rias and Koneko both leaped forward and hurled their destruction magic and Senjutsu at Grendel-A, obliterating him completely.

Cao Cao smirked and pointed upward. "There is an opening, go fly."

"? !" Ladon's eyes widened as he was sent flying. Ladon looked at one of his legs and saw an orb, arrow shaped treasure. "Hmm! Th-This is? ! An orb which can make others float."

"Yeah!" Ladon looked over at Jeanne who smirked. "Nobody can beat Cao Cao-kun when he activates his Balance Breaker!"

Cao Cao laughed. "Didn't I tell you? Targeting an opponents weakness is not a hero's skill, but deceiving opponents is."

Kazumi laughed wryly. "Batman called, and he says good job Cao Cao."

"Hahahahahaha!" Cao Cao laughed at Kazumi's comment.

"Well, even if I get tossed into the air, my barrier remains!" Ladon said with a smirk.

"Well, we'll start with this! Everyone now!" Rias said before turning to Chachamaru. "Can you keep going?"

"Hmn!" Chachamaru readied two rifles. "With Mana gone. I'm the long range support!"

Kiba, Akeno, Rossweisse, Chachamaru, Jeanne, Koneko, Rias and Gasper all fired at Ladon, even though the barrier disappeared over several times Ladon was still unharmed and let out a laugh. "HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is quite a relentless assault! However, even if the barrier weakens, I am still unscathed. How many times will you try? !"

Cao Cao smiled slyly and aimed the True Longinus downward, firing a massive beam of light from his spear. No one knew what he as planning, but there was a large hole under Ladon. "...No... that's enough...you are dead."

"!" Rias and the other's eyes widened as Ladon disappeared, almost like teleportation. Everyone looked around. Sensing Ladon, but not seeing him. They all saw a hole that Cao Cao made earlier. Ladon's voice could be heard from within.

"? !, Teleportation? ! You had the ability to transport your opponent, but why did you teleport me? ! My barrier won't vanish!"

Cao Cao moved the teleportation orb to his side. "When the combined Gremory and Kuroshi houses attacked you in the air...I moved my orb in as well. Against such a wave of attacks the barrier would disappear, it will take some time before it recovers...as long as there is even a tenth of a second chance, I can easily send one of my orbs into the barrier next to you. Even for a legendary Evil Dragon like you, over a short distance I can still teleport you." Cao Cao turned his head to Rias. "Go. Rias Gremory, your enemy is in this hole. You can use all your strength to defeat him. Even if my holy spear can't defeat Ladon, with your destruction magic, which even carved souls away from Ialda Baoth, it should be possible."

"All this hole can do to me is stop me from moving!" Ladon shouted.

"Haaaaaaa!" Rias yelled out, concentrating her magic.

"I am just a 'weak' human who is not yet ready to become a legend. You are stuck in that hole Ladon...can you survive after sustaining damage from the destruction magic of Rias Gremory?"

"Tch! How absurd!" Ladon roared out.

"Such a scary man...he was using his abilities with such precise control." Kiba thought.

Chachamaru looked at Cao Cao calculatively. "He predicted the actions of the Evil Dragons and at the same time, manipulated the situation into his favor. Without question. We were only able to defeat Ladon because of him...I will need to keep an eye on him and study his movements for Kenshin-San."

"This is the end! Disappear LADON!" Rias shouted. "Extinguished Star!" She shouted, sending her attack into the crater Ladon was in.

"Damn you! Holy Spear wielder! Gremorys! Kuroshis! Damn you all...!" Ladon roared out as he was obliterated by Rias who turned to Koneko. "Koneko! Hurry! The Sealing Magic!"

"Right!" Koneko said taking out a jewel, this time from Issei's Scale Mail and sealed Ladon away with the power of her Shirone form.

The group entered Third Heaven. Issei looked over, seeing a single white door. "If I go through that door, will I end up in the Pure World?" Issei thought.

"Issei, I know what you're thinking, but if you go through there. I don't think I'd be able to pull you back out." Kenshin said.

"Right, it was just a curious thought." Issei thought.

"Ooohohohoho~! I'm already here!" Everyone looked forward, seeing Walburga twirling her parasol.

"Walburga!" Issei said.

"Yes, that's right, and I'm not alone." Walburga said. Two figures appeared next to her. A man dressed in a black suit. "Crom came and just as well, a familiar face was forced to accompany little ol' me." Walburga said as a figure wearing a purple battle shirt, matching combat pants, holding a sword that was seemingly made of holy energy, shaped in the form of melting angels. "Welcome back to the fold Heinrich-kun."

"Call me that again and I'll behead you and crush the head under my foot." Heinrich growled.

"Oh my, how violent." Walburga said with a nonchalant shrug. "Anyway, the three of us will be your opponents."

"..." Kenshin locked eyes with Heinrich. "Heinrich, I promise I will give you the fight you're looking for soon, but I...I desperately need a mulligan."

Heinrich narrowed his eyes, seeing the pained expression on Kenshin's face. "What do you mean?" Heinrich said.

"..." Kenshin looked down, before a crowd rushed past Heinrich, Walburga, and Crom.

"...!" Heinrich's eyes widened as they all shared a characteristic with Kenshin and his immediate family. "They all..look a like in some way."

"..." Kenshin closed his eyes. "Everyone, in the Kuroshi Peerage still present...you have your orders. Attack to kill...lay the past Kuroshi and Tsuki kinsmen to rest." Kenshin ordered.

"!" Heinrich's eyes widened. "Wait...Yama...didn't...he didn't actually do that...did he?" He thought.

Heinrich appeared in front of Kenshin, slashing down at him. "Kenshin...did...Yama...really...?"

"...I'm surprised you care." Kenshin said with a glare, blocking Heinrich's slash.

"Grrhh..." Heinrich growled, taking that as confirmation. "That bastard...I've always wanted to kill him...and I don't care about my own life...but...forcing a man to kill his own family...that's where I draw the fucking line!" Heinrich roared as he threw Kenshin off.

"Heinrich? !" Kenshin said with wide eyes.

"You wanted to know why I hated you, right? I plan to give my life to murder that bastard...so I might as well tell you now." Heinrich said. "I...was jealous of you Kenshin." He admitted. "I was able to observe you from within the Sealed Sinner's Prison...I...I lost myself from killing Black Alice...my charge onto the Divine Realms was out of grief and madness at the loss of the one I loved...but you...you didn't...even when you killed that Negi girl...when you thought you lost your family in Megalomesembria. You remembered your promises...while I forgot mine in the haze of anger...I always thought you were better than me...I wondered if our roles were reversed...would your resolve hold." Heinrich said before smiling despondently. "I already know the answer. This is goodbye Kenshin."

"Where do you think you're going?" Walburga said, her hand extended toward Heinrich, a purple flaming cross appearing behind him.

"Heinrich..." Kenshin said before closing his eyes. "Channel the power of Serene Mind outward with the intent to kill."

Heinrich turned to Walburga, doing exactly what Kenshin said. "Hrm!"

"? !" Walburga's eyes widened in fear as Heinrich's eyes locked on her.

"Heh." Heinrich smirked. "I see. That's an interesting technique. What do you call it?"

"Serene Conqueror. I figured you'd be able to work it out." Kenshin said. "Go find that bastard and pop him once in the mouth for me!"

"It won't be for you, but sure, any excuse to hit that bastard." Heinrich said as he started walking away, only to get cut off by Crom. "..." He looked up into Crom's eyes.

"..." Crom closed his eyes and chuckled a bit to himself. "Go, rediscover your hero spirit, Hein."

"H-Hey!" Walburga said as Crom let Heinrich pass. "We're supposed to be allies here!"

"When did I ever claim to be your ally?" Crom asked. "I'm just here for a good fight."

The Kuroshi Peerage was already fighting the resurrected Kuroshi and Tsuki clan.

"Please, don't hold back! This is pain for us!"

"Please send us back!"

"Lay us back to rest!"

"Very well, if that is your wish." Granberia said.

"You poor things." Alma said with a sorrowful smile. "Leave it to me."

"Your bodies were defiled...we'll lay you back to rest again." Erubetie said.

"Where are RyuuTaisho and Aki?" Tamamo asked.

"With the leaders up ahead."

"Ara Ara, looks like you're in a jam."

"? !" Kenshin, Issei, Irina and Xenovia looked over, seeing Dulio fly in with his wings out.

"Oh wow, you are the the Joker? Ooooh lala, to meet such incredible people...did you come to Third Heaven to find evil dragons?"

"Hm? Well there is currently a battle going on over there, but I can't say there's much left." Dulio said.

Issei, Asia and Kenshin all looked around. Thunderstorms with numerous flashes of lightning. In another direction was a tornado that was easily rated an EF5. While they had been fighting these Evil Dragons, and they and most of the Evil Dragons have been defeated by Dulio's Sacred Gear. Walburga turned to Dulio. "Ooohlalala, this was beyond my imagination."

"...This is Heaven. Peace here must be maintained. Don't you think the souls here, visiting from the Pure World are cute? After their lives on earth. They come here so they can live peacefully. Either here or the Pure World."

In a serious moment. Kenshin and Issei both recall something Dulio said to them.

"Say Issei, Kenshin...I think religion is very important...people like you two and I are strong...but aren't the rest, outside of a select few just weak humans? For people like that, I think something to believe in is a must." Dulio said. "As long as there is faith, there is someone watching over them, doesn't that make them happy?" Dulio looked on solemnly. "But...in a physical sense...God is dead. So now it falls to Michael-Sama and the angels to stand in God's stead. If we do that, then everyone will be just fine."

Both Kenshin and Issei remembered what Griselda told them about Dulio before. "He's a war orphan. He lost his parents during a certain country's civil war. He was living under the care of the church, during this time he awakened the power of Zenith Tempest. We had to remove him from the church and send him to training to become a soldier. In these institutions, there were children with innate talent, but also those who had none. Because everyone was in the same situation Dulio would call everyone 'brother' or 'sister' and loved them like family. However...most of the children in those institutions died before becoming adults, the ones with no talent died trying to attain power. Dulio saw all of this through his own eyes."

Dulio had come in during this conversation. "In this world, there is a lot of delicious food. There are a lot of people who'd like to try it, but can't. There are many people in this world. However these children...after eating such delicious food, seemed to be truly happy. At least I think so."

"..." Kenshin closed his eyes during this conversation. "This story. I...guess in the end I'm your shadow. One who stands at the end of a path you chose not to follow."

Dulio chuckled. "You aren't my shadow. Our circumstances were different. I lost my family, you tried to protect yours using the only way you knew how."

Griselda cleared her throat. "The reason he became Joker, was to reach the souls of children in Heaven. As the Reincarnated Angel Joker, he is able to set foot there, in the Pure World. Hyoudou Issei, Kuroshi Kenshin...those children." Griselda paused to wipe her cheek, which was stained with tears. "I give him grief and you do to Kenshin, but Dulio is the strongest within the church, and he is also one of it's most kind youths...the child was too kind."

"Dulio...next time you go visit them, I'd like to come with you." Kenshin said.

"Of course." Dulio said with a smile. "I mean you're the Primordial of Life, you should visit the Principle of Life you're guarding."

Dulio opened his wings out wide, the confrontation with Walburga and Crom Cruach beginning. "Forgive me, but I cannon allow you to go any further, my brothers and sisters anymore painful memories among others, this is the place where they can be free, so that's why I won't allow you to disturb them...after all...it makes sense that an angel would protect Heaven."

Walburga's eyes shined as pillars of purple flames appeared around Dulio, however it didn't concern him in the slightest as he waved his hand casually. The purple flames instantly froze. He turned to Irina. "Alright, Ace Irina advance quickly and open the door."

"Joker-Sama! I have-!" Irina was cut off as she and Xenovia readied for battle.

"These are formidable enemies, I will find a way...I am their opponent." Dulio said.

"Fine! Granberia, Erubetie, Alma, Tamamo stay here and clean up. Mana, secure a vantage point and go to work."

"Right!" The five of them shout.

Crom rushed forward. "I wish to fight against the Sekiryuutei one more time."

"Tch!" Kenshin got in front of Issei, going into his Balance Breaker. "Issei, Cardinal Crimson Promotion now!" Kenshin said.

"Aren't you supposed to be concerned about wrongfully resurrected relatives of yours." Crom asked as he and Kenshin clashed.

"Krrrhhh!" Kenshin growled holding Crom back.

"Don't get me wrong. I don't abide by what that Shinigami is doing either. While I want a good fight. I'm sorry." Crom said.

"Thanks, but still...I must stand against you." Kenshin said.

"Heh, I look forward to it." Crom said with a smirk.

"I, who is about to awaken, am the Sekiryuutei who holds the truth of the king on high! Holding the Infinite hopes and Unbreakable dreams, walking the path of righteousneesss! I, will become the emperor of the Sekiryuutei! I will lead you to the path of Heaven glowing in a deep crimson light.

"Aaah, that's right, partner. Hold up. The energy expended using the Longinus Smasher twice hasn't been restored. If we try to go past the limit it will just end in an explosion." Ddraig advised.

"I know Ddraig!" Issei thought. "Is the 'exploration' over yet?"

"Almost. Though this is awful timing...in order to keep up, I'll dive back into the Sacred Gear."

Kenshin heard this and turned toward Issei. "D-Ddraig are you serious? ! We kind of need you here!" Kenshin said before being knocked back by Crom.

"Is that all you got? !" Crom shouted.

"Krh!" Kenshin growled.

"Kenshin, go into the Abyssal Elemental Overdrive. We're going to do the same as Ddraig." Undine advised. "We want to try and pull out your Demigod State without you being a sitting duck."

"I understand." Kenshin thought.

"Miyuki!" Kenshin shouted out.

Miyuki appeared in front of him. "What is it Onii-Chan?"

"Help Issei battle off Crom Cruach." Kenshin said.

Xenovia and Irina both rushed in to help her, however, Crom punched forward, knocking all of them back. "Ghh!" Miyuki, Xenovia and Irina all grunted as they were knocked back. Issei, Irina, Miyuki and Xenovia all leaped forward, only to get repelled by a purple flame cross. Crom scowled deeply.

"Don't get in my way witch!" Crom yelled.

"Hahaha, you dislike it? I was just trying to help you." Walburga said.

"Tch...because of this...I don't like complicated battles...In fact, I most like." Walburga said as she was in a difficult battle with Dulio of Fire and Ice.

"..." Crom looked down dueling against Issei and Miyuki. "You're on your own. I'll wait for you to get killed."

"Lies! Now is not the time to be sulking! We have to fight together right?" Walburga said.

"I refuse to work with a witch who looks down on dragons. I see what Heinrich was getting at. If you're dead. I'll be fighting the Sekiryuutei, Joker and the Dragon of the Elements. "

Kenshin, Issei, and Miyuki paused as Crom stopped fighting while Xenovia and Irina paused themselves. Crom stood up as Walburga stopped after fighting against the icicles sent at her from Dulio.

"Hahaha, I haven't used my Balance Breaker yet, but I'm very tired so I will be leaving." Walburga said. "Grendel is good...the charcoal dragon is good Apo is good...you are good, all these dragons are hard to understand.

"You aren't escaping without a gift!" Dulio said as countless icicles surrounded the witch.

"She will fight while she has the advantage, but in a situation where she's evenly matched, she will definitely not fight for a long time." Kenshin and Issei both recalled Sona explaining to them about her observations from the battle in Auros. .

"Don't underestimate me!" Walburga shouted, filling the area with purple flame, melting the icicles and dissipating the lightning from above. She throws her parasol into the air, when the lightning struck, she insulated herself.

"Leave this to me Kenshin-kun!" Setsuna said "Dulio-San can I count on your help? !"

"Sure you can Setsuna-San!" Dulio said. "You look like such an angel anyway!"

"!" Setsuna blushed heavily while back in First Heaven, Konoka giggled. Negi looked at her curiously.

"Oh it's nothing Negi-Chan." Konoka giggled. "I just felt someone call Secchan an angel...which she really is, but she's too embarrassed to accept it."

"I see...Hahaha." Negi chuckled at this. "I don't know what she's so embarrassed about. She does look like an angel with her white wings. Even Kenshin agrees."

"I know right? !" Konoka giggled.

Walburga knocked Setsuna away and stuck her tongue out, flipping DxD off. "See you suckers later~!"

"Hrm...the bitch escaped again." Kenshin grunted.

Crom glanced at where she was and shrugged with a wry smile. Dulio lowered himself to Kenshin and Issei's level, both in their Subspecies Balance Breakers. Dulio laughed wryly. "Compared to the user of the flame cross, this evil dragon is more troublesome...and even more powerful, you aren't going to let me go are you?"

"...The Sekiryuutei and Heaven's Joker as opponents? It's a rare combination. Against such strong opponents and in such a situation, I have no reason to retreat." Crom said.

"Crom!" Kenshin shouted. "Is the Shinigami Yama ahead?"

"Yes. He is personally commanding your deceased kinsmen." Crom said.

Kenshin scowled deeply. "I see..." He growled.

"However, the totality of your family outside of their leaders are here. They act as his guards." Crom said.

"Well Crom, you'll get your wish from Wallachia...cause I'm coming at you with one hundred percent! I have to get by you!"

"Then come!" Crom said with a wide smirk. "I may feel sorry for you, but I want to fight you even more!"

"Evil Dragon Crom-san. If it's just me, will that satisfy you?" Dulio suggested. "I've defeated many dragons

Crom and Kenshin both looked over at Dulio. "Dulio what are you...?"

"Go and lay your family to rest Kenshin." Dulio smiled. "Issei, help Irina-Chan protect her father."

"So you say...I can't see any openings in you...so you plan to let the Dragon of the Elements lay his kin to rest and the Sekiryuutei and the others go ahead first. Haha! Fine. I'll let Joker the Dragon Slayer entertain me!" Crom Cruach laughed.

"Well then, it's been decided. Now go...I'll need my Balance Breaker. Although it's banned from use in Heaven, this is an urgent matter.

"He's planning to go all out? !" Issei thought. Irina, Xenovia, Issei and Kenshin all shared a nod.

Kenshin raised his voice. "Granberia, Erubetie, Tamamo, Alma, Mana...avoid direct contact with Dulio and Crom Cruach's fight! Miyuki, Evangeline, Mom, Yukari on me!"

"Right!" The Former five shouted.

"Let's go!" The latter four said rushing behind Kenshin.

"Dulio, don't die! Indeed, you're a really nice guy!" Issei said.

"I'll try my best!" Dulio said as he and Crom Cruach began their clash.

However when the group got to Fourth Heaven. They saw Yaegaki, RyuuTaisho, Yama and a woman wearing an outfit similar to Hikari's, only purple in color with short purple hair and eyes.

"Heya Kenshin, I see you left your servants to do your dirty work for you." Yama said with a smirk.

"Yama, you bastard." Kenshin growled. "Is there no line you won't cross? !" He yelled.

"Haaa!" A figure rushed forward and clashed against Yama's scythe. He looked down. "Heinrich? !"

"You'll regret not putting one of those control apparatuses on me!" Heinrich said driving Yama back.

"Krh!" Yama growled.

"Get his ass Heinrich!" Kenshin shouted.

"Heh! Leave it to me! I'm gonna make this bastard suffer!" Heinrich smirked.

However Yaegaki help up Touji by his hair. "What's wrong Touji? Isn't it the believer's ultimate wish to die in the Garden? It's too generous for you." Yaegaki said.

"Yaegaki-kun...if you kill me and only me, will that dissolve your grudge?" Touji asked.

"!" Irina let out a shocked gasp. "Dad, how can you say that? !" She yelled.

"Irina, if I can save this man's soul it's a worthwhile trade!" Touji said.

"Rrrrgh! So what? ! So What! Did you think I would forgive you after that? ! How could I possibly do such a thing? !" Yaegaki roared slashing his sword down, making a massive crater. "I loved her! She loved me! We...even if we were different...we still loved each other...We loved each other."

"..." Aki looked over at Masanomi Yaegaki with sadness. "For so long...RyuuTaisho and I believed that we couldn't love each other as much as we wanted either, because of the supposed risks of cross breeding...at least until you two came along." She said looking at Kenshin and Yukari.

Out of the crater eight dragon heads emerged from his sword. "I see...it's probably become something like a Sacred Gear. That one's sword." Ddraig said. It's responding to it's wielder's feelings like one. If that is true, it's probably something similar to a Sacred Gear, and can be classified as such." Ddraig said.

"Tch!" Issei grunted. "Even so, we much stop him! He can't have anymore hatred. Yaegaki raised his sword toward Touji.

"MmDaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Yaegaki roared out as the Yamata no Orochi breathed out a dark and poisonous aura toward Touji. Masanomi Yaegaki's mind and body had been taken over by the sword, and his body became shrouded in a deep, dark aura.

"Tch." Kenshin growled, seeing Evil Dragons rushing in behind them. "Miyuki, Evangeline, Mom, deal with them...leave RyuuTaisho and Aki to us."

"..." Hikari glanced at her son's back hesitantly.

"Alright." Evangeline said before placing her hand on Kenshin's shoulder. "For what it's worth...I'm sorry...I'm used to death...but...nobody should be forced to kill their own family...not once, but twice."

"Alright Onii-Chan." Miyuki said with a solemn voice.

"Kenshin...before we begin." RyuuTaisho said before smiling. "Despite everything that happened..."

Aki smiled as well. "You as well Yukari...we..."

"We're happy to have known you two." The two said together.

"!" Kenshin and Yukari's eyes widened before closing in regret. "...I'm sorry." Kenshin said.

"Hm?" RyuuTaisho said.

"Sorry about what?" Aki asked.

"We...tried so hard to save you all...and yet...it ended in failure." Yukari said, her brow twitching as tears welled in the corners of her eyes.

"We know...and that's why we're happy to have met you." Aki smiled.

"You had only just met us after coming to the past from your era..." RyuuTaisho said. "You even showed us...that it was OK for our clans members to fall in love with one another. It wasn't just us...a lot of the Kuroshi and Tsuki clan members wanted to love each other...and along came two wonderful children who had traits of both our clans."

"Those last five years, excluding the end..." Aki closed her eyes and her smile widened. "Were the best years of our lives."

"You know what you have to do right?" RyuuTaisho asked.

"...Yeah..." Kenshin said.

"RyuuTaisho...Aki..." Yukari said.

"Yes?" Aki asked.

"W...We always resented you for what happened." Yukari said. "The Cosmo Entelechia's brainwashing aside. We were the only ones who didn't give up...no matter how much we wanted to." She said, the conflict written on her face.

"We know." RyuuTaisho said with his eyes closed before smiling. "You two...still are such gentle children." He said before sighing. "I can't resist the Shinigami's call. There aren't control apparatuses, but...it feels like he's still controlling us. Maybe he needed them for strong beings like Nagi Springfield and Ialda Baoth...but...I think he senses our desire to be sent back...and is using that against us...because La Croix restored me to my prime. You know what that means..."

"We won't be able to control ourselves...we'll be his completely..." Aki said with a sad look. "When it starts...we won't be ourselves...we won't be able to hold ourselves back. We're sorr-" Aki was cut off.

"T...That's...enough!" Kenshin shouted. "Let's just settle this! OK? !"

"Yes...you're right..." RyuuTaisho said as he stepped backward, while Aki slipped into a battle stance, a deep purple aura forming around her. "Well then...come on!" RyuuTaisho shouted as a black aura wrapped around him, his arms and legs transforming into that of a dragons.

"Yukari! Get ready!" Kenshin said.

"Right!" Yukari said as RyuuTaisho and Aki lunged toward them.

"Krh!" Kenshin was driven back, even in the Abyssal Elemental Overdrive. "Fuck! He's so strong! This was Grandpa in his prime? !"

Yukari met Aki's fist with Kazeken. "G-Ghhh!" She grunted, her teeth gritting in both struggle and anguish. "Fuck...Grandma, you're pretty strong!"

"Hmn!" Aki smirked

"Grrhhh!" Kenshin used Senjutsu to transform his own limbs and interlock his hands with RyuuTaisho's who had done the same.

"I see...this is the power of the current head of both the Kuroshi and Tsuki clans. Splendid." RyuuTaisho said with a smile

"And this is the true power of my predecessor." Kenshin said. "I'll let you know, while he's incarcerated, Wilheim is still alive."

"I see." RyuuTaisho nodded before pulling Kenshin forward and kneeing him the chest.

"Krh!" Kenshin growled, feeling a spike on RyuuTaisho's knee lightly pierce his chest. He jumped back as RyuuTaisho extended his hands toward Kenshin.

"Scale Shurikens!" RyuuTaisho said as scales began flying off his hands and arms.

"Krh!" Kenshin growled. "Ninefold Rakshasa!" He shouted as he slashed away multiple bladed scales. "? !" His eyes widened feeling a presence behind him. "Except for intent to harm...I can't feel any bloodlust from Serene Mind!"

"Haaa!" RyuuTaisho shouted, punching Kenshin in the small of his back.

"? !" Yukari's eyes widened. "K-Kenshin!"

"I'd worry more about yourself." Aki said, slamming her fist across Yukari's face, knocking her back toward Kenshin.

"Tch..." Kenshin and Yukari both stood up. "Damn it...Yama's really got us." Kenshin said.

"I know..." Yukari growled.

"...Yukari...maybe you should let me handle them both." Kenshin said.

"Wh-What? !" Yukari said. "No! I refuse! I would never!"

"Yukari! I was the one who killed them both! It'd hit me the lightest." Kenshin said.

"I don't care! Like hell I'll leave you to handle the pain of doing that again alone!" Yukari shouted. "We're in this together god damn it! Let me be there for you!"

"Yukari...?" Kenshin said with wide eyes.

"..." Tears filled Yukari's eyes. "Kenshin, did you forget how much I love you...?" She asked. "If you're suffering...I'm suffering...don't...please don't send me away." She said as those tears rolled down her cheeks.

"..." Kenshin closed his eyes letting out a sigh before smiling. "Alright...and for the record...I love you too, just as much, Miyuki as well."

"..." Yukari smiled at Kenshin, wiping her eyes. "I know...just be careful, OK?"

"Same goes for you." Kenshin nodded before rushing forward, the elements surrounding his currently dragonic fist. "Elemental Spica!" He laid his fist into RyuuTaisho's stomach.

"G-Grrhhh!" RyuuTaisho grunted as he was blown backward.

"RyuuTaisho!" Aki shouted, looking backward.

"I'd worry more about yourself Grandma." Yukari said pointing Ryuuga at Aki. "Hellfire Flash!"

"A-Aaaaaaaahhhh!" Aki screamed out, as she was engulfed in a blaze

"Aki!" RyuuTaisho shouted in worry.

"..." Kenshin appeared underneath him.

"? !" RyuuTaisho gasped in shock.

"You should trust your partner more." Kenshin said, thrusting Shiroi Tengoku forward. "Katentou!"

"Nnnggh!" RyuuTaisho grunted, being engulfed by Heavenly Fire Knives.

The two former heads of the Kuroshi and Tsuki clans were revealed to have light burns. "Excellent." RyuuTaisho said with a soft smile. "But maybe it's time we stopped holding back."

"? !" Kenshin's eyes widened as RyuuTaisho appeared in front of him, driving his claws into Kenshin's stomach, "Gulh? !"

"..." RyuuTaisho brought his other fist back and slammed it into Kenshin's face, knocking him back.

Aki grabbed Yukari by her hair and slammed her forehead against her granddaughter's before kicking her back toward Kenshin.

"Nngh..." Kenshin covered his wound. "Nnnghhhhh!" He grunted loudly as he healed it. "D-Damn...that's...a lot more tiring than usual."

"Of course it is, think about where we are..." Yukari said.

"Shit..." Kenshin cursed. "I knew this would be a problem...I just didn't want to think about it at the time...I'm not going to be able to heal myself like usual. Heaven is the absolute worst place for me to fight. There's no dark mana for our bodies to absorb to heal. I have to use my own personal stores to heal."

"Grhh..." Heinrich growled. "You sealed my Alice's Vessel of Darkness to always remain active, which drove her to madness!"

"She was a fool for allowing me into her audience chambers alone!" Yama said with a smirk, slashing his scythe at Heinrich's neck.

"Grrrhh!" Heinrich growled as he raised Angel Halo to block it, swinging it outward. The elements covering his free hand. "Elemental Spica!" He shouted driving his fist into Yama's sternum.

"Guoh? !" Yama doubled over, but smirked as a black mass of corpses rushed toward Heinrich, forcing him to jump back.

"W-What the fuck?" Heinrich said with wide eyes.

Yama raised his free hand, the three sixes appearing over his face. "What? My ability is similar to Ialda Baoth's...because I appeared before her and gave it to her. Though I was in disguise at the time."

"? !" Heinrich's eyes widened. "Wait...you mean?"

"Heheheheh, yeeeesss she wasn't a Primordial of Life, she was a Primordial of Death!" Yama said with a smirk. He extended his hand forward. "Get 'em boys!"

"Krh!" Heinrich growled as he was driven back by the mass of corpses. "Grrhh! Serene Demon Sword!" Heinrich said slicing the stream of darkness and death in half.

"Heh!" Yama smirked as the two halved streams split apart and attacked Heinrich from behind.

"!" Heinrich turned behind him, before turning to the side. "Serene Mind! Ninefold Rakshasa!"

"!" Yama's eyes widened a bit. "He cut them all apart?"

"Heh!" Heinrich smirked. "You forget reaper, this is a Sword of Sealing!" He pointed Angel Halo at Yama.

"...My Mistake." Yama said as a dark gray aura wrapped around him and his scythe

"!" Heinrich's eyes widened as the Shinigami appeared in front of him and gasped in pain, Yama's scythe sunk into his abdomen. "...What is this? This feeling...it's like I'm perishing."

"You feel that?" Yama asked. "That's death...I keep it it under control, but I exude an aura of death. I've lived with it all my life...people always used to die around me, by the time I learned to control it...it was too late. I slaughtered an entire city when I was young...that's when Ilias found me. My deathly aura never seemed to reach her, and she even taught me how to control it."

"Grhh!" Heinrich growled as he and Yama ceased struggling against each other. "Oh please! Don't feed me this bullshit story."

Yama shrugged. "Well I guess you can't fault someone for trying, even if he's telling the truth."

"Krh..." Heinrich growled. "If your aura never reached Ilias and she taught you how to control it...why...did you betray her?"

"Trihexa's curse of corruption." Yama answered.

"What? But...according to my empathic memories with Kenshin...only..." Heinrich said.

"Oh? You formed an empathic link with Kenshin? Well...then I guess you already know this." Yama leaned down and whispered into Heinrich's ear. "I was always going to take over hers and eventually God's throne. It was only after I arrived from this place that I realized it." Yama said.

"What?" Heinrich said.

"That's right. I got my curse of corruption from God himself!" Yama said with a wide smirk. "Only instead of locking it in a stasis like a coward...I embraced it!"

Heinrich growled, clenching his sword despite Yama's Primordial Power of Death flowing around him. "Tch...If you think God was a coward, you are a fool!" Heinrich said slashing Yama backward.

"Oh, I am, am I? He must have had enough power to fight off Trihexa if he was able to seal it off, but instead he hides! While his creations commit atrocity after atrocity!" Yama laughed slashing his scythe against Angel Halo again.

Heinrich paused. "If God was able to fight off the corruption...why did he seal himself off in stasis?" Heinrich thought. "Unless...he wasn't able to. God wasn't able to kill Trihexa, only seal it away!"

"Hrn? !" Yama grunted as Heinrich began to shove back against his scythe even further.

"God may have sealed himself away because of Trihexa, but he was no coward!" Heinrich shouted with a smirk. "Don't you think he was only trying to protect his beloved creations from himself?"

"Krh..." Yama growled, before smirking, slashing his scythe downward. "Come on! No one's that selfless!"

Heinrich's eyes widened as a storm of dark blades rushed toward him. "No...without the actual spirits I...!"

"That's right, enjoy this pain Heinrich!" Yama said as the blades rained down on Heinrich.

With Issei.

Yaegaki breathed out a dark and poisonous aura toward Touji. His mind had already been taken over by the sword. His body already shrouded in a dark aura. "Tch!" Issei growled. "I won't let you! No one will take away my Irina's Dad if I can help it!"

"!" Irina paused, covering her mouth with a blush, but behind that cover was an extremely happy smile. "Oh Issei-kun!" She thought as she slashed apart one of the Yamata no Orochi's fangs apart with Hauteclere. While Xenovia did the same with Durandal. "Issei!" Irina shouted. "Go on! We got Papa!"

"Right! I believe in you Irina!"

Irina blushed and smiled and gave him a thumbs up. "I believe in you too Issei! With all my heart!"

"!" Issei smiled and flew toward Yaegaki and the Yamata no Orochi.

Suddenly a callout reached Issei. "Issei!"

Issei turned back to see Touji. "Please...Stop him...!" Touji said.

"Yeah." Issei said flying forward, still in his Queen form armor. He saw Yaegaki or rather the Yamata no Orochi regenerate more heads. "Krrrrh!" "Crimson Bllllasssttteerrr!" Issei roared out.

"Rrraaaahhhh!" Masanomi roared back, countering Issei's attack with the flames of Yamata.

"Wait..." Issei thought as he attacked Masanomi. "If...in the past there were a meeting between a devil and a human. Like when Chief resurrected Kenshin and I, or when Seekvaira and I got together...I fell in love with her...what if I was still a human and met her anyway...I'd end up the same as him." Issei growled as tears ran down his cheeks from within his helmet. "I fell in love with Seekvaira...and so many others! I promised I'd be with them forever!"

"Haaa!" Xenovia charged forward, helping Issei to fight off the Yamata no Orochi. "Durandal! Let's end this!" She shouted.

"Hauteclaire..." Irina said holding the holy sword at the ready. "If you truly recognize me as your master. Then I beg you, please lend me your strength! Lend me enough strength to save Papa, enough to help everyone as well as the strength liberated from this evil dragon so I can borrow it! Haaaa!"

"? !" Kenshin, Yukari, RyuuTaisho and Aki paused in their battle as Durandal and Hauteclaire exuded such power that they became twin pillars of light.

"Lord, I beg of you I truly beg of you." Asia prayed as Fafnir stood at her side.

"Haaa!" Issei punched Masanomi with a strong punch. "Ascalon! I haven't used you in awhile, but it's time to go to work!"

"...Can I...be an angel..." After all of their attacks had ended, Masanomi Yaegaki slumped forward, a ghost of a woman embracing him softly.

"The Yamata no Orochi's power is gone...no, it's resurrection is uncertain. In any case...there isn't any power of an evil dragon left in that sword. How terrifying. It must be that angel's sword." Ddraig explained.

"Irina's Hauteclaire. It's said to be able to purify an opponent's sword, when it came into contact with his Kusanagi sword, it wiped out all of the evil energy inside it. This is Irina's new ability, though I think Xenovia's Ex Durandal and my Ascalon helped to amplify the effect, but the power to purify came from Hauteclaire alone." Issei thought.

"I too...loved a female devil." Masanomi said with a tired smile. "Perhaps, someone will try to come between the two of you...if that even happens...you need to...!"

"Protect her. Even if the entire world is against my relationship with Seekvaira or my relationship with Irina. No matter the obstacle or enemy and hell even to protect my master Rias I will overcome anything to protect her."

"..." Masanomi glanced toward Irina. "So...a devil like you was able to help Heaven's side as well?"

"Well yeah. I have no connection to the angel's side other than her." Issei said. "Yaegaki-San...you feel like you don't want to leave. If you don't want to...then stay."

"Heh..." Masanomi smiled, extending his hand. "Is that right...then you and I are the same...except what we wanted wasn't allowed." Issei grabbed his hand as Masanomi moved to get to his feet. "...So that's how...we..."

A dull sound reached Issei's ears, just as Masanomi was getting to his feet. Something flew in from the side, piercing a hole through Masanomi's chest. "Urgh..." Masanomi grunted before spitting out a mouthful of blood, falling backward.

"!" Issei looked up, seeing a familiar face, hearing a familiar laughter. He saw a silver haired middle aged man who smiled hideously. Issei screamed out his name. "Rizevim! !"

Rizevim raised his hand casually. "Yo~ I came to check it out. The beautiful revenge comedy...and I see the drama comedy that is the former heads of the Kuroshi and Tsuki clans fighting against their murders is progressing well." Rizevim said. "Yama, you certainly prepared quite delightful entertainment."

Yama who was fighting off Heinrich's strikes smirked back. "Thanks for the compliment boya, but I'm kind of busy!"

Xenovia helped the fatally wounded Masanomi toward Touji and set him down next to Touji. "Yaegaki-kun!"

Masanomi smiled slightly toward Touji. "...Having no connection...that's good."

Asia rushed over, releasing a healing glow, however Masanomi's wound didn't heal...was it because he was revived with the holy grail...by Yama...or did he resist the healing entirely. "No! This is too sad!" Asia cried out

Masanomi smiled. "You cry for me? You're too gentle." He said as his body began to break down at his feet. "Aaah...I would...have loved to meet you all again...in this day and age." With this said Masanomi's body turned to dust.

Rizevim let out a bored sigh. "Whatever, he was good at his job, what happened between the Bael and the Church is now public, and as the user of the Kusanagi...he is no longer needed."

"This...bastard...everything he's saying is just pissing me off!" Issei thought. "Why...why did you have to kill him?" Issei said with an angry growl.

"Oh no? Are you angry. Oh my, my opponent is cranky, the Sekiryuutei should be more relaxed! Anyway, he was already a dead man. It's no big deal even if I do kill him. My! How scary!"

"Don't fuck around. Why, do you have to do these things. To Vali, the children of the Underworld. Having that piece of shit Shinigami make Kenshin and Yukari kill their family again? !"

"Hmm? Well it's because it's to make an old man like me happy." Rizevim said nonchalantly.

This is how it's been huh?" A crimson aura exploded out of Issei's body. "Rizevim! You'd be much better off dead!" Issei roared.

"ISSEI DON'T!" Kenshin said before getting punched backward by RyuuTaisho.

"Oh wow, those eyes and that look...reminds me of Vali." Rizevim said with a smirk holding his hand outward. "How scary! Well then how about this old man has a spar with you."

"Bring it bitch!" Issei shouted, however, as soon as Issei got within touching distance of Rizevim, the Son of Lucifer's hand landed gently on Issei's armor, and it disappeared instantly.

"It's useless. The power you gain from your Boosted Gear is ineffective against this old man...did you forget?" Rizevim asked.

"Oh shit! The Sacred Gears are ineffective! Just a touch and he removed my armor!" Issei thought.

"Lucifer's fist! How's that name?" Rizevim asked in a joking manner as he punched Issei in the stomach.

"Gulah? !" Issei gasped out blood as he staggered backward before Rizevim kicked him into the sky. "G-Grrhhh..." Issei growled, after bouncing across the ground a few times and reassumed his Balance Breaker.

"You idiot. Even without my Sacred Gear Canceler. I am still the son of Lucifer and carry a lot of power myself." Rizevim said blocking multiple Dragon Shots with his hands before appearing behind Issei. "Hya, Lucifer's Kick~!"

"Krrhhhh!" Kenshin growled as he and RyuuTaisho deadlocked against each other. He opened communications with Miyuki and Hikari. "Miyuki, Mom! One of you break rank help Issei, Rizevim's fucking him up bad!"

"Miyuki go! I've got this!" Hikari said. "I know you're still dying to smack that bastard one for ruining your relationship with Vali."

"Are you sure, Okaa-Chan? !" Miyuki shouted in worry.

"Heh. Please. I've rediscovered my strength with Evangeline's help." Hikari said extending her hands outward with a smirk. "Jade Tigress Empress!" She shouted, slashing and burning every Evil Dragon that came close to her.

"Nngh? !" Issei grunted, seeing Miyuki intercepting Rizevim's next strike with her own.

"Oh? I am curious, how is it yours and your sibling's power keeps resisting my own!" Rizevim smirked.

"Maybe it's because our power comes from nature itself." Miyuki said. "Irina, Xenovia! Now!"

"Right!" Irina and Xenovia rushed forward, slashing Ex Durandal and Hauteclere at him.

"No...they just expended a bunch of energy defeating the Yamata no Orochi, and before that, they had expended a lot of energy as well. So Irina and Xenovia's energy hadn't recovered yet. What was Miyuki thinking? !" Issei thought. Faced with attacks from Ex Durandal and Hauteclere, Rizevim used only two fingers to block the attack.

"Hn? !" Rizevim looked down, seeing Miyuki coming in between them, a smirk on her face.

"Thanks Xenovia, Irina. I know you're tired, but I needed you to divert his attention." Miyuki finished as she got up close to Rizevim. Her fist coated in the elements. "Elemental Spica!"

(Boom!)

The area around Rizevim exploded in the light of the elements as Miyuki, Xenovia and Irina all jumped back. "Both you two. Get ready. I hold no hopes that it actually did him in. Issei can your Boosted Gear at least give them a power up?" Miyuki asked, glancing back at Issei.

"I don't think so. All power ups from the Boosted Gear were effortlessly wiped out by him." Issei said.

"Then let me step in. I don't use a Sacred Gear so it's fine." Miyuki glanced over, seeing Raynare appear.

"I wasn't aware you were here. Where have you been?" Miyuki asked.

"Sorry. I was picking off Evil Dragons until I noticed you were in trouble." Raynare said generating a red spear of light.

"Alright, listen...don't think you can take him out. This is going to take a team effort." Miyuki said.

"Hyayayayayaya~!" The four of them heard an amused laugh as Rizevim was revealed to be relatively unharmed.

"A little devil girl and an angel attacking me simultaneously, to give the imouto of the Dragon of the Elements a chance, however..." Rizevim smirked. "There's no way that level of attack can beat this old man yo!"

"We'll just see about that!" Xenovia shouted.

"Come on!" Irina said.

"Wait! Damn it! Raynare, help them out. I'm going to prepare a stronger attack!" Miyuki said as the jewels of her Scale Mail came out and fused into her right arm.

"Heh." Rizevim smirked as he held his hands out, blasting Irina and Xenovia backward with intense demonic mana.

"Xenovia! Irina!" Asia shouted out, moving her healing aura from Issei who was healed completely to both of them.

"Haaaa!" Raynare yelled out, lambasting Rizevim with numerous red spears of light.

"Heheheh." Rizevim chuckled darkly. "Sorry Fallen Angel-Chan, but even Azazel would have problems dealing with me." He said punching Raynare's spears away before appearing in front of her.

"!" Raynare's eyes widened.

"Krh!" Issei rushed toward her, shoving her out of the way of Rizevim's fist before meeting it against his own, his Scale Mail disappearing.

"Wearing that armor, that's a no no. Why? It's pointless...because without it...you're nothing more than a shitty devil pawn." Rizevim shouted

"Like I care...I already got that. Even so...I'll kick your ass...If I could release a higher level of power...Ddraig...please hurry!" Issei said.

"Damn it...! It's still not done charging! If I fire it now...I'll be injured and useless!" Miyuki cursed.

"Issei! Issei-kun!" Xenovia and Irina rushed forward, holding their holy swords.

"Aaah, Durandal and Hauteclaire. Being attacked by these two swords brings a strange sense of nostalgia. Too bad it's not Excalibur though. That was the really fun blade to fight against." Rizevim casually bragged as he dodged all of Xenovia and Irina's strikes.

"I...just need to land one strike!" Xenovia yelled as she kept attacking Rizevim, switching to the Excalibur Mimic ability, yet still, Rizevim was able to grab the whip formed by Excalibur Mimic and yanked Xenovia forward.

"? !" Kenshin's eyes widened as Xenovia was sent flying.

"I know you're worried, but you need to focus on the task at hand." RyuuTaisho said punching at Kenshin.

"Krh! Damn it Grandpa! Resist him! If there's no apparatus it shouldn't be that hard!" Kenshin said as he blocked with Shiroi Tengoku.

"I-I'm sorry Kenshin, but it's like...something else is controlling us!" RyuuTaisho said.

At the same time Yukari and Aki were trading blows. "Krh! You were holding this much power back? I'm in the Vessel and I'm still having difficulty fighting you."

"I was always strong...but I also thought that we shouldn't villainize ourselves." Aki said.

"I know." Yukari said as she shoved Aki backward. "We lived with you for five years...while appealing for peace."

"I know..." Aki paused to smile. "Like we said before...we loved being able to know you, even if it was for your own survival."

"!" Yukari's eyes widened with tears in her eyes. "Khhhh! It wasn't just out of self survival...in fact, that had the least to do with it!" Yukari said rushing Aki. "Ninefold Rakshasa!"

"H-Hrrrnnn!" Aki grunted as Kazeken and Ryuuga both slashed into her arms, legs and torso, before Ryuuga was pointed at her. "? !" Aki's eyes widened.

"I'm so sorry...Aki." Yukari said with a sad smile, before speaking again. "Hellfire Flash!" She said pressing Ryuuga into her stomach.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" Aki screamed out as she was engulfed in flames.

"I made it stronger with Salamander's flames, please...find rest!" Yukari thought as tears slipped down her cheeks.

When it was done, Aki stood, heavily burned, but a smile on her face. "Yukari...thank you...but...be prepared."

"Guah? !" Kenshin was knocked backward as RyuuTaisho rushed to Aki's side.

"Aki, please no!" RyuuTaisho said holding her up.

"Aaah...RyuuTaisho-kun...I'll...see you on the other side." She said, as she sighed her last breath.

"!" RyuuTaisho knew it would come to this...but...he simply didn't want to witness his mate die again.

"..." Kenshin and Yukari also closed their eyes in regret, anger bubbling up inside them, at Rizevim and Yama.

"Kenshin...Yukari...I know you didn't want this...but...please...kill me." RyuuTaisho's form began to bulge as his body became more dragonic.

"He's transforming!" Yukari said.

"No...damn it! Yama planned this!" Kenshin said. "RyuuTaisho! Please don't do this! !" He roared out.

A massive black dragon grew in front of them. Rizevim laughed as Miyuki continued to charge her attack as Issei and Raynare desperately tried to fight him off. "Hahahahaha! Excellent Yama!"

RyuuTaisho raised his head, welling up a massive orb of youki, which he aimed skyward. "? !" Kenshin's eyes widened. "No! He's aiming for Sixth Heaven, Zebel!" Kenshin said flying in front of RyuuTaisho.

"Kenshin!" Yukari said flying next to him.

"Yukari? !" Kenshin said with wide eyes.

"Transfer the ability of Yume Shouheki to me! You should still be able to use it!"

"!" Kenshin grabbed Yukari's hand as RyuuTaisho fired his blast. "Transfer!" Kenshin shouted.

"!" Yukari's eyes widened as hers and Kenshin's left eyes flashed. "Yume Shouheki! !"

"Haa...haa...haa...this isn't like before...this...is much more tiring." Kenshin said with a scowl.

"Maybe it's...because you're sharing it with me..." Yukari panted after the blast ended.

"Maybe...so..." Kenshin said. His left eye and Yukari's right eye leaking blood.

"Something isn't right." Kenshin said as he started panting as well. "I know we're both at disadvantages because of what we are, but why isn't he suffering the same disadvantage."

"? !" Yukari looked back over at Aki, seeing an aura surrounding her. "No...Aki...she was giving him her mana the entire time."

"What? !" Kenshin said with wide eyes.

"Didn't you feel like RyuuTaisho was slowly getting stronger while you were fighting him?" Yukari said.

"...Now that you mention it...even for his prime, it still felt like he was getting stronger as the fight went on." Kenshin said. "Was Aki getting weaker in yours?"

"I guess I didn't feel it because she never really sparred with us. We were either in Ostia, out hunting the first year or so then she had Mom and Dad." Yukari said. "But her mana was so strong, if she's lumping hers onto RyuuTaisho's with her dying breath..."

"Shit." Kenshin cursed. "Alright...we gotta finish this and fast. An extended battle only plays to Rizevim's and Yama's advantage."

"Incoming!" Yukari said, seeing RyuuTaisho flying at them. Kenshin pushed Yukari away and flew backward. "What the hell? !"

"Relax. We gotta distract him." Kenshin said. "There's two of us, one of him. One of us will be the decoy and draw his attention."

"Ah, the bait and switch maneuver." Yukari said. "I'll be-"

"I'll be the decoy." Kenshin said.

"What, but you're stronger than me, loathe as I am to admit it." Yukari said.

"That's exactly why I need to be the decoy." Kenshin said. "He'll be drawn to me. I'll draw his attention...you get your licks in while I distract him.

"Kenshin...you're telling me to kill them like you did?" Yukari said with wide eyes.

"No, he'll get wise, so we'll need to switch it up...I'll bare this pain." Kenshin said. "You'll know my mark. Strike at that moment."

"No Kenshin, we'll bare this pain together." Yukari said. "I'll go along with your plan, but don't act like you're in this alone."

"Right." Kenshin said before pointing Shiroi Tengoku skyward. "Katentou! !" A massive spew of flaming knives erupted from the blade's sheathe which in turn surrounded RyuuTaisho, trapping him in a cage of Heavenly Fire Knives. "Hey old man!" Kenshin shouted blasting RyuuTaisho with Serene Conqueror.

"Rrrggaaahhh!" RyuuTaisho roared, breathing a stream of black fire at Kenshin.

"Hrm!" Kenshin extended his hands forward, before crossing them in front of his chest. The hole in front of him closed as RyuuTaisho's flame breath collided against it. "Grrhh!" Kenshin growled. "Shit...I thought he was strong before...but with Aki's mana supplementing his own..." He turned his head to Yukari and nodded as a large hole in the cage opened up in front of her.

"Attack him with the power of Sylph, Gnome and Salamander while using Undine's power to dodge!" Yukari said as she flew under RyuuTaisho and slammed her fist into his underbelly.

"Uloogh!" RyuuTaisho shouted as he choked on his own flames. He looked down, swiping his claws at Yukari.

"I'm still here!" Kenshin said rushing forward, punching RyuuTaisho on the snout, making him back away as the cage dispersed.

"So this is what you meant. Be unpredictable. Trade shots here and there." Yukari said.

"Yeah." Kenshin nodded. "Let me take the lead while you play decoy this time."

"Alright!" Yukari said as she flew away from Kenshin and used Serene Conqueror to focus RyuuTaisho onto her. She started to slash Kazeken and Ryuuga rapidly, using Sylph's power and the Knight piece's speed to increase her speed dramatically, while the flames of Salamander surrounded both her blades. "Katensho Seal! Purgatory Flames! Katensho Railgun!

A barrier activated over RyuuTaisho's body, blocking the blasts, but was heavily damaged. "Haaaaaaaaa! !" Kenshin roared, rushing toward RyuuTaisho. "Full Body Elemental Spica!"

Kenshin crashed through RyuuTaisho's barrier and stabbed both his dual blades through RyuuTaisho's shoulder blades, wind expelling out of them. "RyuuTaisho. You and Aki will end up back in the Pure World after we lay you back to rest! Why are you so angry? !" Kenshin said driving RyuuTaisho to the ground, making a crater.

"Grrhh...other than...the anguish of watching the love of my life's last breath leave her again...we won't end up back in the Pure World Kenshin...none of us will." RyuuTaisho said. "None of us...that were resurrected will go back. That bastard rigged it so we will immediately reincarnate when we die."

"? !" Kenshin's eyes widened with a gasp. "What?"

"Just...give me a proper send off...so that I may at least have a chance at meeting Aki in another life." RyuuTaisho said, the eyes of his dragon body leaking tears.

"If...it hurt so much...why did you let me do it the first time?" Kenshin asked.

"We...lost hope...Victor...or at least his homunculus' actions...made us see...that we were never going to live in peace...and what happened to you and Yukari...proved us right." RyuuTaisho said.

"? !" Kenshin's eyes widened with tears leaking from his eyes.

Yukari, having still helping Kenshin hold RyuuTaisho back, also silently cried, hearing all of this.

"G-Grrh? !" RyuuTaisho growled loudly, throwing Kenshin off.

"No! Aki's mana isn't supplementing his mana...it's amplifying it!" Kenshin thought. He raised his voice. "YUKARI! WE HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN!"

"Right!" Yukari said rushing to Kenshin's side grabbing his hand as RyuuTaisho welled a massive blast of Youki.

"Transfer!" Kenshin's Boosted Gear called out.

"YUME SHOUHEKI!" Both Kenshin and Yukari shouted, blocking RyuuTaisho's attack.

(Booooommmmm!)

"Haa...haa...haa...haa..." Kenshin and Yukari panted as they looked down at RyuuTaisho after diverting the attack.

"Ken...shin...Yu...kari..." RyuuTaisho said.

"? !" Both Kenshin and Yukari let out shocked gasps

(Flashback)

Kenshin, RyuuTaisho, Yukari and Aki all sat on a hill overlooking a cloud sea in Mundus Magicus. "I wonder...if we'll be able to live peacefully after you two succeed?"

"Don't worry. I'll do everything I can to make sure it succeeds." Kenshin said with a smile at RyuuTaisho.

"Hmn...then..." RyuuTaisho smiled.

"You should know that I'm already pregnant with our first child." Aki said, her hands over her belly.

"? !" Kenshin and Yukari's eyes widened.

"I've already asked Aki to marry me...I...want you two to act as the best man and the maid of honor." RyuuTaisho said with a smile.

"Yes...I want that as well." Aki said with a giggle.

"!" Kenshin's and Yukari's eyes widened in shock as they smiled with tears rolling down their cheeks. "Yeah! Count on it!" Kenshin said.

"We'd love to!" Yukari said wiping her eyes.

"..." RyuuTaisho and Aki moved forward and hugged them tightly.

"? !" Kenshin and Yukari gasped at the contact.

"Thank you..." RyuuTaisho said.

"We thought for so long our genes were incompatible, but you two showed us...that...they aren't...that RyuuTaisho-kun and I can love each other fully." Aki said with a wide smile.

"G-Grandmother..." Kenshin and Yukari both said with wide eyes.

"Haa? Did you both just call me Grandmother? ! I'm not THAT old damn it!" Aki pouted.

"S-Sorry!" Kenshin and Yukari both whined as Aki wailed on them.

"Hahahahahaha!" RyuuTaisho laughed at their plight.

"I-It just slipped out..." Kenshin and Yukari both said, bowing their heads after Aki was done.

"Hmhmhm. Well...I guess I am old enough to be your grandmother, but still I don't look like an old lady do I?" Aki asked.

"No, not at all." Kenshin, Yukari, and RyuuTaisho all answered.

"So, when's the wedding?" Kenshin asked with a smile.

"We don't know. Arika wants to take Aki dress shopping though." RyuuTaisho said.

Aki cupped her cheeks and started swooning. "I've never worn a dress outside of the time I went to the Peace Ball a couple of months ago" She said with a blushing giggle.

"..." Kenshin smiled at this and extended his hand toward RyuuTaisho. "RyuuTaisho...I swear on my life I will create a peaceful and equal world."

RyuuTaisho smiled and shook Kenshin's hand. "I know you will...that's the kind of man you are..."

(flashback end)

"..." Kenshin closed his eyes, gritting his teeth. "Why do we have to do this again?"

"Because we're the ones who have to end their suffering..." Yukari said with tears in her eyes. "They only died because we ended up in the past."

"Now's your chance...I put everything I had into that last blast..." RyuuTaisho said. "I can...only attack physically now..."

"Khhh..." Tears dripped from Kenshin's and Yukari's eyes as they narrowed in resolve. "Alright...Grandpa..." Yukari said as she grabbed Kenshin's left hand.

"We'll stop you...HERE AND NOW!" Kenshin yelled out as he raised his right hand up, creating slabs of earth around RyuuTaisho.

RyuuTaisho ignored these and lunged forward, looking to swallow them whole in his jowls.

(wrap!)

"Ulgh!" RyuuTaisho choked as several thick ropes of lava wrapped around his throat, pulling him down to the ground.

Yukari extended Ryuuga forward glowing bright red as the strands of lava connected to it, RyuuTaisho and the slabs of earth Kenshin had created. "Restraints of the Burning Earth." Yukari said. Kenshin nodded at her and she lifted Ryuuga up, before swinging it down fiercely, slamming RyuuTaisho to the ground.

Kenshin then raised their joined hands. "Yukari...please help me with this..." Kenshin said. "I...I know you put down Grandma...but...I don't know if I can bare even his life on my conscience for a second time."

"You won't. Remember Kenshin...we're in this together. Excusing our familial relationship...you're still my Master as King of the Kuroshi Peerage...I'm bound to you for life" Yukari said as Kazeken appeared in both their hands. "Sylph..." Yukari said.

"Gnome..." Kenshin said.

Undine..." Kenshin and Yukari both said.

"Salamander..." They both spoke as one.

"Gruuuaaahhh! Do it! Please! !" RyuuTaisho roared out in desperation.

"!" Kenshin and Yukari's eyes both widened, before closing as they leaked out tears. "QUADRUPLE GIGA! ! TIMES TWO! ! !"

The power to crush anything, amplified by two screamed toward RyuuTaisho who closed his eyes. "...Aki...I'm coming home..."

(boommmm!)

A bright explosion of the elements went off as Kenshin and Yukari lurched forward, panting in exhaustion.

The light died down and RyuuTaisho's dragon body was gone, but to Kenshin's and Yukari's shock, a body laid in the crater. They darted toward it landing on the ground. "RyuuTaisho!" Kenshin said as they ran toward it.

"Nnngghh..." RyuuTaisho sat up with a pained look on his face. His body was heavily damaged.

Kenshin appeared at his side and grabbed his arm. "You actually survived that?"

"Yeah...somehow..." RyuuTaisho said before covering his chest. "Aki's...mana is gone..." He said panting with a smile. "...That woman. Even though she's gone...she protected me...maybe she couldn't bare the thought of me dying again either..."

"Come on you crazy bastard." Kenshin said as he and Yukari lifted him up and helped him out of the crater.

As soon as they were out of it. "H-Hey...let me...walk on my own." RyuuTaisho said.

"A-Alright." Kenshin said as they landed outside of the crater.

RyuuTaisho walked forward slowly, limping heavily before turning to them with a smile. "Thank you...for laying us back to rest again...I can sense your allies finishing up."

"I see..." Kenshin said with narrowed eyes.

"Renkai...Felenne, Aina..." Yukari said glancing away.

"...Hey, don't look that way..." RyuuTaisho smiled tiredly. "You...gave us...all our freedom back..."

"But...at what cost?" Yukari asked.

"Hm..." RyuuTaisho smiled. "Ryuushin and I, as well as Aki were watching you know...we've seen how happy you are with them...this group you dubbed DxD...they'll help you out of it...they're your new family now..."

"..." Kenshin and Yukari smiled, bowing their heads. "Yeah...I guess you're right. Though we argue a lot, mainly about Kenshin...Rias, Akeno, Xenovia among others feel like sisters to me."

"Heh...I guess when I thought I lost my old family...I gained a new one, with my precious mother and sisters as well." Kenshin said.

"Heh. See?" RyuuTaisho smiled. "Don't worry about us. We're in the past...and I'm sure fate will reunite me with Aki."

"Still...I'm sorry...I couldn't keep my promise while you and the others were still alive." Kenshin said, looking downward.

"Hahahaha. It's fine Kenshin...it was completely out of your cont-!" RyuuTaisho's eyes widened as he shoved Kenshin and Yukari apart as the blade of a scythe sank into his chest and out the front from behind.

"? ! !" Kenshin's and Yukari's eyes widened in shock.

"U-Unnnghh..." RyuuTaisho grunted as the scythe was ripped out of his back by force.

"Oh please...all this touchy feely shit...you're all gonna make me puke."

"!" Kenshin and Yukari both looked up to see Yama catching his scythe.

"No one escapes death...not even life." Yama said with a callous smirk.

Yama: Instead blame me! I revived them after all!"
