A/N: Sorry for the delay folks. Been busy with life and few other things. Been really difficult to write for too long without falling asleep. Also I'm currently writing for another story that much larger chapters and takes all the free time I have. Currently this story is still going at it's own pace, but I hope to engage with bigger things later on. Thanks for sticking around for this long.

"Soooo, two hundred kilos of... what? Oh! Right, I couldn't really read this, kinda blurry."
"Why are we still using writing? Don't you have tablets?"
"What's a tablet?"
"...huh, is like a computer, but you can carry on your hand, is like a big cellphone. Far more practical to manage a business this large. Collin showed me pictures of what Humans work with at their restaurants in current time. It looked really handy."
"Oh! Sounds useful! Where can we get those?"
"Not in this shithole, that's for sure. We barely made into old computers and cellphones for the past decade. Ask Collin, he knows his way around Human tech better than anyone. Anyways, I need those supplies really bad if you want me to starting working on the menu."
"I will do what I can Belle. Wasn't really expecting a list this big to be fair. Urgh, kitchen management is really not easy as I thought. Huh? Why is most these items set with question marks?"
"Cause most of what Collin suggested is just not attainable. Don't get me started on ocean crap. We don't get sunlight in Hell, not like the one Humans do. We can't grow a lot of the stuff they have. It sucks, cause most of the quality food requires them and I just don't think you would find them anywhere besides that other realm."
"That is not good news. Maybe we should ask Collin advice on that matter? I'm sure he's familiar enough with the Human realm to offer any alternatives."
"Good luck with that. Even if he knows where to find all this stuff I don't see how we will maintain a flow of it coming in to keep the restaurant afloat. If this Hotel ever reaches max capacity, we are talking about tons of ingredients per month."
Charlie nodded slowly, a frown on her face as her mind struggled to think of options to cover the severe lacune of supplies required to get their kitchen started. Belle needs the basic ingredients for seasoning, the actual food to season and several other minor details that the Princess of Hell was just clueless about. She was never a picky eater, but seeing the monumental amount of things to make it work was making her head spin.
"Also we have a checklist he gave us to make sure the kitchen is fully equipped." Belle added with a raised eyebrow as her eyes went down the sizable paper. "Huh, let's see... ovens, mixer, fryers, microwaves, slicers, kitchen stoves, toasters, refrigerators, freezers, food processors, cutting boards, sharpening stones, sinks, griddles, coffee makers, storage racks, shelving, washing machines. Proper ventilation system? Well, fuck. We may have to see Serpentious about that one. Hot tables, grill, bins, storage containers, ice machine, fuuuuuuuckkk! This list is endless! What the fuck?!"
"If Collin says we need those then we better make sure we have it all. He did insist that all of it is necessary for the demand we will potentially face at max capacity, also to cover for anyone who orders from outside."
"Who's managing the outside part?" Belle asked with a frown. Charlie seemed surprised by the question.
"You, who else? All the outside income will go to you and the kitchen staff." Belle was taken aback by such decision. She gave Charlie a look of disbelief.
"Are you sure? That's a lot of money we are looking at, if things go as planned." She warned the hotel owner with a critical glance. Charlie merely shrugged.
"I think when this goes well we will be doing lots of progress for the hotel. The restaurant being successful on the streets will bring the Hazbin name along. If anything you and the others will have earned that reputation. Only fair you and the Hounds get decently rewarded."
"Fuck me Charlie, you are way too nice to be Lucifer's daughter. I just don't get how you do it." Belle replied, followed by a short laugh. "I tried once, didn't work very well unless I could offer more than sympathies." She snorted at the personal memory. "Now you have this wolf-wannabe, angelic, sheep dude that will help you redeem sinners back into Heaven. Talk about a tall fucking order of the most insane magnitude. I don't even get how he manage to survive in here this long and even fall in love with a Hellhound of all th-"
Belle paused, seemingly embarrassed for a moment before shifting her expression to one of annoyance.
"Urgh, somehow I do sound like my father at times." She said with a fair amount of venom on her words. "This family-business shit was bound to happen one day or other. I can only thank you two for figuring it out before I got taken care of during my sleep or something."
"Say, how about we try doing some pizza? I've had only few of those in the last few decades and they all were made here. Not really sure what Human pizza tastes like." Charlie asked distractedly, much to Belle's bafflement.
"Did you even listened to what I said?" She asked accusingly. Charlie nodded.
"Yes, but dwelling on 'what ifs' and 'unlikely to work' topics don't really get me invested on a conversation. I've been saturated of that kind of talk from Alastor and Angel Dust. Also, you're welcome. I'm glad we got you out of a potentially dangerous situation. Still, I rather you be more... optimistic if possible. I certainly am!" She said with a happy grin. Belle sighed, rolling her eyes before laying back on the couch, mildly bored as she glanced at the rest of the pile of papers laying over the center desk.
"Pizza? Like, fuck, I rarely see those. They taste like rotten fat." Belle frowned at the reminder of her latest experience with that particular type of food. "Shit, this is actually in Collin's list of suggestions for the menu. Huh, I have no idea how to do Human food like the way he expects."
"Perhaps ask Collin to teach you guys?" Charlie offered with a shrug. "He sure likes to teach things if people ask nicely. Not sure he knows what Pizza tastes like though. From what he told me folks in Heaven don't eat, but those who ventured on Humanity as Guardians did have to partake on such at times."
"Say, Collin is coming to be a bit too important to everything we are doing, isn't he?" Charlie gave Belle a curious glance in return. "Yeah, like, what he's doing for you, what he did for Loona, for me even. A lot is relying on what he knows and can do. I hope you're making the effort to keep him safe. He's probably the most valuable person in your staff. Besides Vaggie obviously."
"Collin's more than just staff for me, he is a good friend." Charlie replied with sincerity and with evident fondness. "Don't worry, we are making sure he will be prepared to face dangerous situations, besides, he's unlikely to get into trouble. It's just not his thing."

"Ouch! Loona!"
"Quit your bitching. I'm not trained on removing pieces of metal from inside people. Normally I'm the one putting them in."
"Could you be more gentle? You just pulled it out without a care!"
"Like that will kill you, it's fine. Just use the heal spell and it's good as new. We got lucky that sniper was a shit shot."
"We were seriously outgunned and out of options. Those were just well armed criminals. I can only imagine how problematic it would be facing a Demon Lord."
"Don't tell me, I rather not think about it... there, all scrap is out. You're made of some tuff skin, heh. This could've killed a Human easily."
Collin flinched, visible distraught on his face. Loona sighed heavily, fully aware of what was going on inside his head. The firefight was already a terrifying experience for Collin, the Hellhound getting shot made that even worse, but nothing compared with Collin trying his best to overcome the fact he killed many Humans with his fire spell. Only now he was fully registering what he had done and his mood sunk beyond anything Loona could do or say to recover it.
"Can you stop that? Collin, they were trying to kill us! They were not good people! Stop feeling sorry for a bunch of assholes that would've killed you without a second thought. Who knows how many people they already killed? A drug cartel ain't some honest company doing legit work or other crap like that."
"... I'm not supposed to be a murderer. The whole reason I'm even here is because I was deemed guilt of killing a Human. Now?... I can't lie to myself that I have never done such."
Loona huffed, exasperated with the nonsensical self-blaming. She has an idea of why Collin has felt so much about the fight they survived.
"I'm never mentioning what happened to anyone. You don't have to worry about Charlie finding out. You know me well enough to do something like that." Her hands slowly pulled his damaged shirt away from his wrestling arms. "Get something else to wear, this won't do."
Collin, despite his sullen mood, gave her a dubious look in return.
"Like what? I only have the hotel's uniform and my old clothing left. I didn't go around shopping for clothes since I got here." Loona glared back at him unamused. "What?"
"You can easily just conjure whatever the fuck you want out of thin air. You figure that out." She admonished him before standing up, her attention briefly disrupted as her cellphone started ringing. Loona hasted her hand to retrieve the device from her chest, which made Collin blush at seeing where she kept it. "Urgh, who can... Vortex?" She exchanged a brief glance with Collin, pausing to laugh once noticing his expression, before accepting the call. "Hey, what's up?"
"Hey, Loona. Say, been few days since we last saw you and Collin around."
"Oh, yeah. Sorry, we... had lot of things to run around. New job, new home, all that kind of stuff." She heard the male hound chuckle.
"Oh, no doubt of that. Almost every Hound around the ring knows that Belle is at the Hazbin Hotel by now. Not only them but also very other important folk, like my boss."
"Your bo...oh! Verosika? What about her?"
"What? You don't know? Verosika is kind of a fan of Belle, a really big one I may add. Heh, it was one of the, if not the biggest, reason I got the job as her bodyguard. I often saw Belle before I moved to Pride, I was once part of her security staff. Even after I moved out I still would travel to Gluttony and keep in touch with Belle. It was hard to get by unnoticed in Gluttony. Boy, let me tell ya, it hasn't been easy to look after Verosika while she is constantly hoping for me to gossip about anything I know after she found out about Belle being in Pride. She knows I known you, and by default you known Belle."
Loona raised both eyebrows in surprise. Verosika is quite a pop hit across several rings. It never came to mind that she would look up at anyone else but herself. Seeing Collin giving her a very attentive look was enough for Loona to know that his enhanced hearing allowed the wolf to listen to the conversation perfectly.
"Huh, that's quite something. Is... there any reason you're telling this?" She heard Vortex sigh heavily before responding.
"Yeah, let's say that... well, she's a bit worried about what Belle is going to do, career wise. As much she's a fan, the idea of competing for the top pop star spot in Pride doesn't really appeal her very much. She's well aware how good Belle is at getting attention if she wants."
"She can't be seriously worried that Belle is a better singer. I heard them both, Mayday is much better." Collin pointed out with a chuckle. "No offense to Belle, but that is... just a bit on the nose."
Loona was more than inclined to agree. Yet, this didn't seem simple as about who could sing better to gather more fans. There was a lot more to these two than just their voices.
"As far as I know? Nothing beyond the hotel, at least not for now. Can't really get much than that, unless Verosika wanna come here ask Belle in person."
"That... could be arranged, if the princess does not mind our presence." Vortex replied hesitantly. "Wouldn't mind having an excuse to see you and Collin to be honest."
"Heh, if you say so. I will give you Charlie's number, she will get you both set."
"Thanks Loona, appreciated. Also... yeah, Collin is right. Verosika does sound better."
Loona hummed in agreement, not surprised that Vortex overheard Collin talking. Not an easy thing to keep anything out of hearing range from Hellhounds.
"Say, what about your girlfriend? Isn't she also worried about Belle throwing parties around the ring?" Loona inquired nonchalantly. She heard a heavy huff coming across the line.
"Not particularly. Anyone who makes into her parties is there cause they never got along with the way Belle does things. They are loyal and feel safer when my girl is hosting. Nah, she's not worried with Belle, as long they don't have to share space of any sort it will be fine."
"Fair enough, I guess."
"Alright, I will catch up with ya later on. Oh, and don't forget to give Ferala a call. My girl heard Fery got something exciting to share but isn't allowed to reach out about it, her new boss told her not to. Whatever it may be must be big. Take care you both."
"Sure thing, thanks Tex, you too." Loona replied with a smile before closing the call with a flick of her thumb. "Gez, things are getting quite busy with everyone."
"It seems to be the case." Collin replied. The way he spoke had Loona shaking her head. She turned back at him before addressing the current problem with the wolf firmly.
"Alright, enough of the pity party. Blitzo sent me a message, I just saw it in my inbox while I was on the call. He's not coming back today. Has unfinished business to attend, whatever they are. No doubt the whole thing with his sister. I was going to check on Octavia, but she's busy taking instructions from Vaggie, so that's a no go." Loona paused, her expression souring dramatically. "Which leaves us with Pinks and Belle. Not really my first choice for tagging along, but not like this hotel has better options."
"What are you planning?" Collin asked with a subtle eyebrow raise. "I'm not really in the mood to go anywhere."
"So you gonna sulk here all day?" She countered immediately with some exasperation. Collin shrugged.
"Errr, Charlie did ask me to get a menu going for the kitchen. I should work on that, on top of actually making some dishes. I'm a bit rusty when it comes to cooking refined food. Lucy's family didn't really had much going about it during the time I... you know." He said awkwardly enough. Loona nodded, easily remembering Collin's mention of his short cooking as a Guardian Angel. "Do you... want to learn it too?"
"Me? Learn to cook?" The Hellhound seemed baffled for a moment. "I mean, not that I think it's weird but, huh, not exactly the most exciting thing that comes to mind." She admitted with a frown. Collin chuckled, humored by the irony of someone of Gluttony not into the idea of making food but, to be fair to the female Hellhound, Loona wasn't really a picky eater nor constantly feeding.
"It would be plenty useful, especially when I'm not around." He said before searching for his kitchenware. "There will be times we won't really be able to spend the night, mostly due work. At least I expect as much once this Hotel gets really busy."
"Oh, yeah. Say, how exactly this whole redeeming thing is gonna work anyway?" Loona asked as she made her way around the balcony, watching as the wolf searched for ingredients on the shelves. "I don't think you just gonna pick the first person you see on the street."
"Not at all. I talked with Charlie about this for few hours actually." Collin said with a pensive frown as he placed several pots near the stove, his eyes searching for the closet with the frying pans. "I was certain we could find the most promising candidates without much hassle, but I also had to consider the income. I have to find specific candidates that can add to the Hotel, financially. I'm not sure about getting sponsorships in Hell is anything manageable, at least I told Charlie that much. She already has a rather damaged reputation due her news interview from a couple months ago. Getting anyone to take this idea seriously will be tricky."
"Do you even think it's worth the trouble? You said yourself that Heaven is shit about what kind of people are even allowed in."
Collin frowned, unable to think of an answer to that regard. Yes, Heaven has been incredibly confusing regarding its own criteria of what allowed someone to enter its domains. He knew the steps necessary to reach the path. Entering its gates would be another matter entirely.
"I can't really, nod I did, promise Charlie those attempts would be successful. I did say I would help her recover her investment. That much I can do..." Collin paused his actions for a moment, hands resting over the balcony. For a moment he hesitated, seemingly lost. Then he felt the warmth of hands over his shoulders, no sooner it came across his entire back. Loona's head gently rested above his as she embraced him, a wonderful gesture of affection he had no idea he desperately needed.
"Got it... cause that's what you do... help best you can. I get that. Just... make sure you don't bite more you can chew." She said with a snort, her hands slowly caressing his chest, content to just get a feel of his fur and skin. "Say, don't you have any other friends up there? There's no way someone like you didn't have anyone else to talk to besides those two cunts from days ago."
"Huh, well. I have few. Not sure how I would get to contact them. I have no idea how." Collin replied, allowing himself to relax and just live the moment. It wasn't every day that Loona wanted to touch him in a way that would not lead to bed. "That being said... if there's someone in Hell that can... that would be very out of place. Far as I was told, only God and Jesus could make such contact between our realms."
"But those fucking exterminators find a way here every year. Clearly someone is hiding shit. There has to be a way to make that kind of portal work the other way around." The Hellhound inquired with a frown. Collin shrugged, although his shoulders barely moved with Loona resting on him. The Hellhound let out a long yawn. She felt sleepy, hungry and overall anxious to just move past this Heaven and Hell stuff. Yet, Collin was set on a road that would take months to settle on its own, and she was stuck along for the ride.
"Fuck, I need a bath." Collin laughed.
"Another one?"
"I need excuses to fuck you too.
"...I'm not sure if that was you being clever or just blunt."
Before any further words could be exchanged few knocks came from the front door, which immediately made Loona's mood sunk a bit. She did not want people visiting them all the time whenever she and Collin were doing their own thing. Collin, feeling Loona's agitation, decided to just welcome the visitor with inviting words. What surprised him was to see a flash of light blinding him momentarily, before the image of Charlie Morningstar popped into his sight.
"Huh... what was that?" He asked dubiously.
"Oh, sorry! It's just that it gets a bit tiresome to open doors all the time." Charlie quickly replied, smiling apologetically. "I normally just teleport through the hotel anyways."
"Cool. That's a neat trick there." Loona said tiredly. "Sure beats the time it takes for a portal."
"Well, yes. Yet, not something one can just learn on whim like a portal spell." Charlie eyed them both with hesitation. "Did I... came in at a bad time? I take you two want some time alone." She asked with a grin on her face. Loona snorted while Collin rolled his eyes at the subtle tease.
"Not a problem, we have time to discuss whatever you need. Which is?..."
"Oh! Right, so... I was talking Belle about the restaurant and several other things. She said that even if we get all the stuff we need, she has no idea how to cook Human food. Nor has any of the other Hellhounds."
Collin groaned internally. That was not what he wanted to hear at all. It was already going to be an herculean effort to gather all the equipment and the food itself, but to hear not a single cook could do any dish he planned for was beyond disappointing. Perhaps he should've expected it, after all, these folk live in Hell. Every food they have is nothing but a poor copy of what Humans experienced in a previous life.
"It seems we will need to find a cook to teach them." Collin started slowly, his eyes fixating on Charlie with severity. "A Human cook."
"Then... a sinner." Charlie stated. "Someone who came from the Human realm and was a cook back then. And they don't, for most of the time, resemble Humans. Now, I'm not sure how that will work. Most folk that come into Hell don't really engage on their old professions, for various reasons. Namely being in Hell being the usual main reason."
"Wonderful. I take we can set some interviews? Ask folk around?" Collin asked, hopeful they could eventually find someone willing to be a cook again. Charlie frowned, she started walking around the nearby couch, deep in though while mumbling to herself. Collin and Loona just watched as she kept talking quietly for a whole minute before addressing them again.
"So, my father actually has a decent kitchen staff, but I never really understood how they are so good. The food they make is very similar to what you expect from Humans actually."
"You tasted Human food?" Loona questioned with an eyebrow raise. The Morningstar girl nodded.
"A few decades ago, not much though. I was... experimenting stuff. It was a very enjoyable event to be with the Humans for a short time. That being said." Charlie paused, giving them a rather troubled and serious look all of sudden. "This is a big secret of mine actually. Please! Don't tell anyone! I would get in serious trouble."
Collin couldn't help the smile on his face, and he could tell Loona was having the same idea as him. Their smiles actually unnerved Charlie a bit.
"What?" She asked, not understanding what they were being so pleased about.
"Well... there's something we need to tell you. If you also promise not to tell anyone."
