Hehe so I found this…so happy surprise for you guys I guess. Sorry for forgetting about it. But I will let you know that I am planning on working on my other projects as well as my main story now, at least a little bit. Course seeing as it was "next in line" it still has priority until its done

Hey guys I really don't have anything that I need to talk about right now. Just wanted to say something to start it off for the heck of it.

Chapter 7

After what was an extremely long drive the bus finally stopped in front of a castle that was about the size of the Satan house. Now this castle had a large stone wall all around it with a security door being the only visible entrance available. Though to the side of the castle you could see a grand stadium that looked to be a lot like what you would see at the world tournament.

(just think of it as a regular castle that is not too big or fancy but still pretty regal seeing as while the Ox King didn't want another his people insisted so he simply made a smaller one that fit his style)

Seeing this the students came off the bus slowly with most of them being groggy from sleeping through the drive. For even though it wasn't night time there wasn't much they could do on the bus but sleep the long ride away. Still they had no complaints as they were herded through security and brought in front of a butler. This man quickly took all of the students on a tour of the castle and explained the rules they put up for the students. Course no one but Melisa and Gohan noticed that all of the staff they passed had to visibly stop themselves from greeting them seeing as they were ordered to act as if the two weren't royalty. Sadly, this seemed to be a habit that years of work had ingrained into their minds so it was hard to just stop. But no one else noticed this and the tour went on without a hitch until they were sorted into rooms and given some time to situate themselves in their rooms but before they all went their separate ways.

"I wonder if we will see the secret prince before the tournament." Erasa tells the group wanting to see the man that the tournament was for, especially because they didn't even show who he was in the tournaments commercial that just started showing up on several channels.

"I don't know but I hope the princess decides to show up, after all a perfect husband for her is right here!" Sharpener tells the group which caused both Gohan and Miara to glare at the boy and Melisa to pretend to barf causing the girls to laugh.

"Sharpener if a princess did want someone to love I doubt it will be someone that probably has longer hair than hers." Brianna told him making him mumble about how girls love long hair which made all of the girls laugh even more. Course after this was done, they all finally decided to get to work. So, they all left for the rooms they were assigned. Course 'surprisingly' there was not enough room for Gohan and Melisa in the area that had the rest of the students. So, they were instead 'forced to be taken to a different area of the castle. Which in their case simply meant they were able to use their real rooms without any questions being asked. Though they did now have to make sure no one ever saw these rooms. For the Ox king loved to spoil his grandkids and has long since filled their rooms with loads of creature comforts. Currently both of them were standing in Melisa's room seeing as Gohan carried her bag for her.

"Ah, it does feel nice to be surrounded by or own stuff again." Melisa tells Gohan with a smile as she jumped onto her bed.

"Yea, but I still say it feels better to have to work for everything you need instead of these handouts." Gohan responded as he motioned to all of the luxuries that they both knew were really unneeded.

"Of course but every now and then it is nice." She added then smiled. "Besides you have to get use to it seeing as eventually this will be your responsibility. Meaning that you will be stuck here."

"Yea… are you sure that you don't want to be the heir of the kingdom?" Gohan asked seeing as he was forced to be the heir seeing as Chichi and Melisa turned it down and the two twins were not old enough to be considered yet. Though his hopes were destroyed with his sister's answer.

"No way! I mean I don't want to do it what-so-ever. Besides you are smarter than me; meaning you would do a better job."

*sigh* "Fine but I still would have preferred mother's original idea of me becoming a doctor." Gohan mumbled. For while he would rule to make sure their kingdom didn't have a chance to fall into ruin. But he would much rather be one of the kingdoms fighters or something.

"Don't worry Gohan, I mean gramps is called an Ox for a reason. He still is going strong and probably will for several more decades." Melisa told her brother trying to cheer him up. For while she knew that he would be a great ruler she also knew that right now he was much more focused on training.

"Yea you are right... Anyways let's unpack quickly so we can meet up with the gang." Gohan told her then walked into his own room and started doing just that. Though he just started doing this when his grandfather came into his room. "Hey Grandpa what do you need?"

"We are having another meeting to over the tournament plans one final time and you will have to be going instead of me seeing as I have to talk to your class."

"What? Haven't we already had this meeting a while ago?" Gohan asks confused.

"Yes, but this is effecting you so much that I want to make sure nothing goes wrong by going over every single detail as thoroughly as possible." The Ox King told him just as caring as he usually is for his family…even if they were kind of forced into this situation.

"What was wrong about the plan was it starting in the first place." Gohan mumbles still annoyed with the council. Course this just made his Grandpa frown slightly and sit down next to him on the bed causing the bed to compress quite a bit.

"Gohan, my decision ages ago was to block out everyone to protect my daughter. Now this was a foolish mistake on my part for it gave my family a bad reputations; as you have seen in your school text books. Now this situation was created by our council desperately trying to show the world that we aren't as 'dangerous' as they think and to recreate ties with other kingdoms. Please, if we are put into a better light then more people will be willing to come and spend time and money in this kingdom. So, will you help out your country and your foolish old man?" the Ox King asks serious as he looked to Gohan for an answer.

"…Yea I will, for the good of my people. I just hope whoever they are will be at least understanding enough to keep my secrets." Gohan told his Grandpa who patted him on the back.

"I hope so to…and thank you Gohan." He told his grandson with a small smile. "And don't forget to go to the meeting while I deal with talking to the rest of your class." He added and then left the room with Gohan doing the same soon after though they went in opposite directions.

=With class=

After all the teenagers finished unpacking, they were brought into the main lobby again.

"Please wait here. The person for your next experience is running a bit late but I promise you that they will be with you as soon as they are able." The butler tells the class calmly before simply standing by a large door. Now this mad everyone curious about what they were waiting for but not even the teachers had any idea what the castle staff had in store for them. But after a few moments the students grew bored with waiting and began to talk amongst themselves.

"Hey guys what's up?" Melisa asks her friends as she walked to them.

"Nothing much just waiting for whoever is going to talk to us next." Destiny responded to her clearly still dying to know what was going on. In fact, the only ones that weren't too curious were the friends that knew everything about the Son family already seeing as they had a pretty good guess who was going to show up eventually. Which was why Trunks soon asked her his guess in a whisper.

"How much longer is your grandfather going to take?" he asked knowing that if anyone knew it would be her.

"Not much longer just a few minutes so that no one questions why we came to the class together." Melisa responded just as quiet. After all she was walking right next to her grandfather on the way to this room. After hearing this Trunks just nodded as a response understanding the reasoning. Soon after she said this a maid opened the large door slightly and whispered a quick message to the butler before disappearing again.

"Okay students!" the man called out getting everyone's attention. "If you would follow me; they are now ready to meet with you." He added then quickly had the students filed into lines and had them follow him into the next room. Now while they were slowly entering most of the students were still happily talking but soon after they noticed who their next meeting was with, they quickly quieted down. For all of them were stunned seeing the large man. Currently the Ox king was sitting on his throne with a warm smile on his face like usual. Course even with him sitting down the class had to look up to actually see his face still which would have been funny if there wasn't fear clearly visible on their faces.

*sigh* "It seems that the rumors about Grampa are still running strong." Melisa thinks with a small frown even if the man himself didn't seem to notice or care.

"Welcome young ones to my castle. Now you guys are here to learn but I am sure that most of what gets told to you will be forgotten in favor of simply thinking about the tournament." The king told them with a loud chuckle.

"But are you really going to marry your son to whoever win's princess?" one of the braver girls asked after most of the initial shock wore off.

"Yes, I am; though it is my grandson that will be getting married. For sadly my son-in-law has passed away several years ago."

"B-but why would you do that? Where is the love in an arranged marriage?" Another girl asked clearly disliking the idea of an arranged marriage.

"There might not be true love or even love but we had to have this done for the good of the kingdom and while I will not tell you that either one of us is happy about it we both understand that it is necessary for the good of our kingdom." He told them seriously then watched as another girl was about to speak. "That will be all we speak of that subject for now. So, let me tell you what is planned for all of your time here." He ordered then went through explaining most of the trips plan. Which for the most part wasn't really important for Melisa, Brianna, Lime, and Miara to hear so they only partially listened.

"So, where did Gohan go?" Lime asks Melsia curious seeing as he should have come down with her.

"He had to talk to the council about the tournament." She quickly told her friend who looked a bit annoyed after she was told.

"I still can't believe we have to deal with some girl that none of us know around our Gohan." Lime told her friend clearly already a bit possessive of her boyfriend.

"Yea, but you heard gramps. It is going to help the kingdom and like it or not even with us the kingdom has to come first. So, we can keep all of the people we protect happy." Melisa told the girl who just sighed as a response.

"I know that is how it has to be... I just sometimes wish he wasn't a prince so we wouldn't have to deal with this."

"Yea sometimes we honestly wish that too. But you know that we all promised to not use the dragon balls for selfish reasons." Melisa told the girl truthfully before they both turned their attention back to the Ox King's speech.

"…Now let's go to the small welcoming party in the ball room." He finished and began to walk away before a voice stopped him.

"But your highness we are missing a student, Gohan Son." Videl told him worried about said boy a bit even if she wouldn't admit it. For if he got lost and wandered in the castle he could get in a lot of trouble.

"Ah, yes the son boy…you two go with Christen here to get him…He probably just fell asleep in his room or something." The Ox King told them pointing at Brianna, Lime, and then at one of the maids who nodded and walked out of the room with the girls in tow while the rest of the class followed the Ox King. Course the Ox King wished he could tell them exactly where Gohan he knew he couldn't so they would just have to use their ki senses to find him.

Back with the girls they quickly sensed out where Gohan was before telling the maid that she could leave. Something the maid followed calmly seeing as they were told ages ago that most of Gohan's group could do just about anything they wanted in the castle. After all most of the Z force were not only close friends but basically family to each other. So, after the maid left the two girls walked to the council room where Brianna sensed Gohan was.

When they got to the room two guards were standing in front of its door. But they paid the men no mind as they tried to open the door only to be quickly stopped by the guards.

"Stop even you two don't have permission to en-" one of the guards began telling them but was quickly knocked out with a hit by Brianna at the same time Lime knocked the other one out. So, with the guards now resting on the floor for a while they opened the doors to the room stopping the meeting.

"Miss Lime, Miss Brianna you two do not have the right to enter our meetings even if you have special privileges. Leave now or-" one of the council members began saying before Gohan stopped the man.

"I allow them clearance today." He told the council who clearly weren't too happy with this idea.

"But this is a private matter."
"That does involve my girlfriends." Gohan told them in a firm tone of voice that made them know that he was the one with the final say in things seeing as his Grandfather wasn't present. Course when he did this all complaints ceased seeing as there was nothing they could due to overrule their prince when the king wasn't around. Though they also were slightly surprised that the two girls were with him as well seeing as they never tried to be with him in the several years they were around him…. even if this matter was about Gohan this time. Still they said nothing more about it as Brianna and Lime walked across the room and sat as close to Gohan as they could and simply looked around the room with cold stares that made several of them mentally make a not to not anger them.

"…fine, now let us continue this meeting seeing as our…guests are situated." One of the council men told them continuing the meeting from where they left off.

~rest of students~

After they all made it to the ball room they were happy to see that it was filled with less extravagant party supplies then they thought there would be. For there was a buffet of food on one end and throughout the room were a bunch of tables and chairs except for a certain area that was to be a dance floor. In fact they were happy to find that even the music was up to date as well. Really the only thing they found slightly strange was that the buffet had several protein products that normally weren't at a snack bar style meal in sizes that one would expect from full meals; but they thought nothing of it after a few moments. For soon enough everyone happily got some food and sat down with friends. Which meant that the rest of Melisa's group of friends were calmly sitting at their own spot.

"I wonder what is taking Brianna, Lime, and Gohan so long?" Videl questions after they spent a bit of time simply enjoying the party.
"They will probably be back soon. It just takes a while to wake my brother up at times." Melisa told the girl. "Though what is up with you Videl? You seem to be interested in my brother a lot lately." She adds causing Videl to blush lightly even though it enraged her that she did.

"I am just a bit curious about the new kid that is all." Videl told the girl.

"But Miara is new to the school as well and you haven't asked about him at all really." Erasa tells her.

"Yea, Videl it is like you have a crush on him." Destiny told the girl with a small smile as she saw her blush even more.

"I don't have a crush on Gohan!" Videl told them trying to stop blushing.

"Suuure you don't." Erasa told the girl smiling clearly amused by teasing the girl.

"Yea, she doesn't have a crush on him seeing as she already has one on me right babe?" Sharpener asks Videl who quickly had her blush turn into a look of disgust.

"No! I don't like any boy like that. And I am not your babe!" Videl called out angrly. "I can't like a guy I mean I am stuck marrying this kingdom's prince pretty soon. So, I can't even think of having a relationship with someone even if I MIGHT sort of have a crush…No! stop thinking about this Videl!" she mentally ordered herself. Her friends then gave her a varied assortment of looks from teasing to worry but in the end were able to push this conversation away to simply enjoy the party with their friends. Though soon enough the music started and Luke and Destiny quickly left to go to the dance floor, then Erasa forced Sharpener to go dancing with her. Next much to Melisa's surprise Miara asked her to dance with a blush faintly present on his face. Though she quickly got over the surprise and accepted the offer with a smile on her face. Which left only Videl at the table eating while now slightly annoyed that her friends left her. Course she couldn't blame them really and instead tried focus on watching them rather than feeling alone. Though it wasn't long before she noticed a large figure sitting down on the other side of her. In face the figure took up two of the chairs that thankfully didn't complain about the weight. She quickly realized that the figure was none other than the Ox King himself with a plate loaded high with all sorts of food.

"Hey you are Videl Satan correct?" he asked the girl who frowned slightly thinking that he was just going to be one of her fans…or was going to assume that until she remembered what happened last time she did so and decided to give him a chance.

"Yes your highness." She told him politely as he began to eat the steaks at a pretty fast rate.

"Ah, so you are the girl that Mr. Satan signed up to fight in the tournament eh? And you can just call me Mathew if you want, people saying your highness all day gets really old." He tells her with a smile surprising the girl that heard that he was supposedly a viscous king. Seeing as she has yet to see any sort of evil to the seemingly happy old man.

(getting tired of saying Ox King all the time so he is now Mathew Oxford (not bothering to look to see if he does in fact have a real name))

"Yes I am going to be fighting in your tournament…Mathew." Videl told him though clearly wasn't too happy about it.

"Oh, you don't sound too happy about that." Mathew told her.

"Yea, no offense but I just have no interest in marrying your son, I mean our 'kingdom' is just a 'kingdom' because the world decided to make dad a king as a reward for saving it. So, it probably wouldn't even help you guys too much if I did win. I am only competing because dad ordered me to…If not I might have tried to see if I could make my possible crush work out with Lime and Brianna" She told him honestly while mumbling the last part not knowing he could still hear her.

"Oh, so you don't want to fight because of the marriage then?"

"Y-y-yes" she admitted not knowing how the Ox King would react.

"Well then you should make sure you fight for your real crush…and good luck in the tournament Videl." Mathew told her making sure to add emphasis on a few words to give her a hint as to who the prince was then left seeing as his food was done to go off to who knows where.

"Man that was weird. I told him that I didn't really want to be with his grandson but yet he still wished me good luck in the tournament….what could he mean by that…" she thinks confused now not even bothered by the fact she was sitting alone seeing as she needed time to think anyways.

~Council room~

"Okay so let's see the list of participants and their chances of winning." Brianna tells the council who were hesitant until Gohan grabbed a copy and handed it to them immediately. So, while the talk was going on both Lime and Brianna were looking through the contestants trying to figure out who would be the most likely to win in their opinion while they partially listened in. Course this lead them to being surprised by one of the contestants.

"Wait Videl is fighting in this!?" they both think shocked as they saw her file and stats. But they only focused on her for a little bit before looking through and finding several other people that had a fair chance of winning.

"You know, while a few of these kingdom's princesses seem like pretty good matched Videl still seems to stand out as basically the best one." Brianna mutters.

"Yea…I mean at the very least we know her and know that she truly wanted to be strong to help people…even if she was rough around the edges." Lime tells her agreeing. For both of them were pretty sure that after letting her in on the secrets she wanted to hear the girl would actually keep them private. Especially if they trained her to become stronger and eventually use KI.

Thankfully after they decided on this most of the meeting was over and they were all released from the room in only about another fifteen minutes or so. And as soon as the meeting was over the couple quickly made their way to the ball room to catch up with the rest of the students. Though on the way their they spent time making a believable story as to why they were gone for ages.

~Class Party~

As soon as they entered the party, Gohan and Brianna immediately found that they were out of their comfort zone. For while they went to several parties, they were all high-class parties for business for the most part. So, they really had no idea how to 'properly' act in these parties; though their heritage refused to allow this fact to make them afraid. In fact, the only one of the three that didn't seem out of place was Lime who went to a few of her 'normal' friend's parties before. Still they all moved together and noticed that several of their friends were already dancing. Including Miara Trunks who was currently doing a slow dance with Melisa who seemed to be enjoying herself judging by the small smile she had. Seeing this Gohan couldn't help but clench his fist watching his sister get close to another male. But he buried his overprotectiveness of Melisa away seeing as Trunks managed to do it to let him get close to Brianna. So, instead they simply walk over to the only one of their friends that wasn't dancing; Videl. Course on the way Gohan grabbed a 'snack' that was more steaks then his Grandfather did and also had several other odds and ends to eat before they sat down at Videl's table with Lime and Brianna sitting on either side of Gohan with their own food. (Lime with least Brianna with about half as much)

"Hey Videl how are you doing?" Gohan asks the girl waking her from her thoughts.

"Good…so Gohan what took you so long with your stuff?"

"Well um… I kind of feel asleep on the super comfortable beds this castle has. Though sadly for these two I am very hard to wake up so they had to spend quite a while trying to…sorry by the way." Gohan tells her then mumbles the last bit to his girlfriends. While doing so Gohan mentally patted himself on the back seeing as when he apologized, he was thinking about the tournament itself so that he could sound believable. After all it always embarrassed him to know that he couldn't lie what-so-ever so half-truths were the best he could do.

"Oh, well at least you guys are here now. I mean the rest of them just went right out to dance after eating so I was just sitting here by myself…at least you guys will stay here for a while before you go dancing as well." Videl told them because she decided that she was done thinking about the Ox King's hidden message.

"Yea, we aren't much for dancing." Gohan told her laughing a bit. Course even though this was especially true in Gohan's case he already knew that if either of his girlfriends wanted to dance he would happily try his best. For the last thing he wanted to do was make either one of them unhappy; even if he was supposed to be the dominate one in the relationship like Vegeta told them was 'proper' for their race…to bad Gohan's family really broke the mold when it came to being sayains, not that it truly mattered all that much.

"Yea, so Videl are you ready for the tournament?" Brianna asks trying to get more information from her.

"…I guess though I don't think I will enjoy it all that much." Videl told them trying to hide her sadness to keep her strong appearance up.

"Oh, but why not I mean it should be interesting to watch?" Lime asked even though she already knew the answer.

"Maybe but I am not watching I am fighting. For my dad became a king in name only thanks to him saving the world. So, seeing as I have trained under my father for so long I probably will have a good chance to get married to someone I don't even know." She told them clearly annoyed.

"Videl…" Gohan quietly said though she cut him off before he could say anything else.

"Actually I think I will walk around a bit talk to you guys later." She told them just because she didn't want any pity from them and if she was honest with herself didn't want to see Gohan now that he knew she was probably going to be married.

Course after she left the three just looked at each other. "Do you think we should tell her the truth already?" Lime asks seriously. Afterall she felt bad for how troubled Videl currently was.

"Yea…but Gohan should be the one to do so seeing as it is his major secrets. Afterall she is basically the most likely applicant to join us. So, it wouldn't hurt to explain some stuff early." Brianna adds.

"So you two are ok with it?" Gohan asks worried only to get a kiss on both cheeks.
"Gohan seeing as no matter what we have to have someone join our group we would rather have it be someone who we know has at least a crush on you rather than someone you don't even know." Lime tells him with Brianna clearly agreeing to this statement.

"…Okay then I just don't want to ruin things between any of us. You are too precious to me for that to happen…wait she likes me!?" he tells them sincerely then is shocked as the rest of what they said sunk into his brain. Course all he got as an answer at first is them giggling.

"Man Gohan you might be the best boyfriend ever but you truly are the most innocent person in the universe." Brianna told him still laughing a bit even as he blushed out of embarrassment.

"Man you learn something new everyday. I mean I never knew so many people liked me, I mean I am nothing too special but yet they fell in love with me. Then again with the way they make me feel I can't complain. And if the same relationship happens if Videl wins the tournament then it would make this happy felling I have even stronger… Though I can't help but think that I might just be getting too lucky right now. I mean each one of these girls are obvious beauties in their own right that anyone would die to be in a relationship with… I just hope nothing bad happens too soon to even my luck out again. But for now I guess I just have to worry about seeing if the girls are actually right about Videl…if not then this will be really akward." Gohan thinks as he holds his two girls for a little bit of a moment then both him and Brianna went for more food while Lime just shook her head and laughed at their massive appetites.

Yea and I think that this is where I am going to end this chapter here. Now I do have stuff actually planned for the tournament. Still I am just happy that this story doesn't seem to suck as much as I thought it did in the beginning…though that might have just been due to it being my first dbz fanfic… Ja Ne
