About an hour after my workout I was crunching on an energy bar while doing some homework with Ruby. She'd surprised me and climbed into my bed while I was out, planning a sneak attack I definitely hadn't been prepared for. She'd almost killed me with a pillow when I tried to jump up, but now it was down to work.

"This is too hard! I never even learned this!" Ruby whined as she looked over her homework for Professor Goodwitch's class. The class involved mixing different kinds of Dust together to create more powerful kinds- it was pretty advanced stuff and almost completely useless if you were the kind of person that didn't use much Dust anyway. Weiss got straight A's while the rest of us tried to copy off of her work without her noticing. She was normally more than willing to help, Weiss Schnee wasn't exactly known for her patience or tutoring skills.

"It's okay, Ruby. The textbook has some formulas in the back. If you didn't learn them at Signal, I can help you learn them now." I'd been helping Ruby with homework since she'd started learning at Beacon, doing my best to catch her up on what she'd skipped. It wasn't always easy, but she was a fast learner once someone explained something to her in a way she'd understand.

"… are we allowed to use those?" She pouted as she flipped through the book for the formulas I was talking about.

"If it helps you understand it, I don't see why not. Just make sure you actually learn it, okay? No memorizing." I ruffled her hair and she bit my wrist- you know, regular sibling stuff. Ruby had managed to skip two grades because she was an amazing fighter. But she's still my kid sister and paying attention in class long enough to learn about super difficult things like Dustology didn't come easy to her. Big sis Yang to the rescue, ready to tutor her in all the work I'd struggled with myself during my Signal days.

We'd been working on homework for about an hour before Blake came back to the dorm from her trip to the library. She took a quick shower and came out with a wall of stream trailing behind her. She walked over to the bunks and I heard some rustling from down below before her eyes peeked up from the side of my bed.

"Hey… Is there room for one more?"

"Sure, Blakey. We were just doing Goodwitch's assignment." I explained, moving over and clearing some space for her to climb up. I was actually kinda glad she'd offered to join. Blake was really smart and would definitely point out a mistake we'd made way before we'd realized we'd made one.

"I haven't started that yet," she sighed, grabbing her notebook and climbing up to join us.

"Study party!" I leaned in close, handing her the work we'd managed to finish and watching her as she scanned our answers, copying most of it while marking up what we'd gotten wrong. I watched her for a minute before getting back to my own work, hoping Ruby and I would be able to finish the worksheet before Blake gave us too many corrections to get back to. I took a deep breath trying to get back in the zone and focus on the work, but was quickly distracted by the scent of something floral. Another quick sniff and I was sure it was coming from Blake.

"Blake? Did… did you change soaps," I nudged her playfully with an elbow.

"…yeah. Is it bad?" Her voice was soft and concerned, like she was worried I might not approve.

"Aww! You've totally got the hots for that Sun guy don't you!" I smiled wide, totally excited my teammate had a mutual crush on someone as hot as Sun Wukong. I'd never seen her face get so red before and it was almost impossible to not wanna tease her even more.

"Can we please just get back to work-"

"No, not until you spill the details! He is one fine piece of eye candy!" I nudged her a little harder this time, hoping she'd fill me in on all the juicy details.

"Yaaaang!" Ruby whined, like this was the most scandalous conversation she'd ever heard me have with someone. For the record, it definitely was not.

"I'm going back to my bunk." Blake muttered quietly and started to slide off the bed.

"No, wait, wait fine!" I grabbed her arm just before she slipped off and dragged her back up.

"I'll keep quiet! Scout's honor. You'll tell me about it eventually," I giggled before letting her go. I smirked and went back to work, trying not to laugh at the grossed out look on Ruby's face.

"You do smell great though," I added, scribbling in my answer to the next question on the worksheet. I looked up for a moment and watched as she tried to hide her blush. Blake was definitely adorable when it came to people she had crushes on.
