Kanto Gets Loud

Chapter 30: The Second Progress Report (Part 2)

Meanwhile, back in the Loud House, Luna and Luan's room,

The rest of the Loud family had gathered in Luna and Luan's room, with the latter trying to gain access to the cameras inside Lisa's room, "Can you hurry it up, Luan? I'm getting bored of waiting!" Lola whined, causing the jokey sister to stop typing on her laptop long enough to give the bratty sister an annoyed glare.

"I'm working as fast as I can, Lola! I don't work well under pressure," Luan chastised.

"Well, work faster! The longer we wait for you to get a feed, the more of the report we're missing!" Lola ordered.

"I'm trying, alright?! Just hold on a little longer," Luan demanded, as she continued to get access to the cameras.

"Just quiet down and let Luan do her work, Lola," Luna said, pulling the six-year-old away from Luan.

"I don't get why we're even bothering listening to another of that Professor quack's bogus progress reports. We already know that anything involving Lincoln is bound to be just a bunch of made-up garbage. Like that rotten jinx can actually be good at anything. We should be focusing more on more important things, like replacing the TV!" Lynn declared.

"Shut up, Lynn! Our situation with the TV is your fault for causing that surge! How did you even cause it anyhow?" Lori questioned.

"Well, I was getting some of Lana's tools so that I could go and reseal Lincoln's door, and I tripped on the carpet, and landed on the damn doorknob," Lynn explained.

"You went into MY room, and stole MY tools?!" Lana exclaimed.

"Well, yeah! Older sisters don't need permission from the younger siblings to enter their rooms," Lynn replied.

"A-ha! I finally got something!" Luan said, as the video on her laptop showed a clear image of the Videophone's screen, "Now, I'll just increase the volume to the max volume," she said, turning up the volume.

"Wait, aren't those Lincoln's friends?" Luna asked, noticing Clyde and the others.

"And those other two hussies are here too," Lori said through gritted teeth upon seeing Stella and Girl Jordan, "Don't they know they aren't welcome here?"

"Maybe Lisa invited them over on her own," Luan replied, as Lisa was typing in some keys

"Alright everyone, the recording is all queued up. Shall we proceed?" Lisa asked. The sound of affirmation from the others was then heard, "Very well then. Let's begin," she said, hitting the play button.

"Hello, to Lincoln's family. I'm glad to announce that the second progress report has been completed. For the duration of this video, I will be going over everything Lincoln's been up to since the last time I spoke to all of you. And as for Lincoln's friends, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Professor Samuel Oak. I'm a professor studying the mysterious lifeforms that inhabit several parts of the world known as 'Pokemon'. 'What are Pokemon?' you may be asking? Well, as I said, they are mysterious creatures with incredible powers that can be found in the many regions scattered throughout the world. They can be found in forests, high in the skies, in the deepest oceans and rivers, and even in bustling cities. Human trainers are able to catch and befriend Pokemon. For some, Pokemon are often kept as pets, but others can engage other trainers in battle to become stronger. And as I previously stated, as a professor, my job is to study these amazing creatures. But enough about me; I'm sure you're all wanting to hear about Lincoln's progress, so I'll go ahead and get into it then, starting from where the last progress report left off on."

"So, Pokemon Trainers are pretty much professional pet owners? Man, and here I though Lincoln couldn't be any more pathetic!" Lynn spat.

"Now Junior, that wasn't very nice," Lynn Sr. replied.

"But she has a point. There's literally no way Lincoln can make a living by just owning a bunch of pets," Lori countered.

"But what about what Pop-Pop said that one time? How Lincoln can earn money from battling other trainers?" Luna asked. Lori felt very foolish. She had remembered one time during one of Albert's visits over that he said that being a Pokemon Trainer was a job that Lincoln would be paid for.

"Anyhow, moving on from where we left off, Lincoln, along with his friends, Misty and Raigo, ventured through the Viridian Forest, where he managed to catch a total of three new species of Pokemon, Weedle, Caterpie, and Pidgeotto, of which, he was able to catch a Shiny variant of Weedle, which he was able to evolve all the way up into a Beedrill," the video said, displaying pictures of the three Pokemon in question, along with both of Weedle's evolved forms.

"That looks like that bee thing Lincoln had sent over, but it looks like it's a different color," Lola commented.

"I think you may have it backwards, princess. The princess said that the Beedrill your brother caught was a variant. That could very well be what they normally look like," Lynn Sr. replied.

"Plus, it did sparkle when it appeared from that ball thing," Luna added.

"If I had to take a guess, when he says 'shiny variant', he must mean a Pokemon of a different color," they heard Clyde say.

"Correct. And according to Lincoln, Shiny Pokemon are apparently rarer that normal ones," Lisa replied.

"Venturing further into the forest, the three of them had ran into a swarm of angry Beedrill, which were attacking them after they had another encounter with Team Rocket. The following is some footage that was received from a Pokemon personally trained by the Pokemon League association that had managed to catch the action," the video said, as it cut to a clip of an angry swarm of Beedrill.

"BEES!" Luna screamed, retreating to a corner of the room, still shaken up from her encounter with the wasps. The footage then cut to the battle between the swarm and each of the trainer's Pokemon.

"I recognize some of those Pokemon from the batch Lincoln sent over. And that larger one looks like Poliwag," Lori commented, as the battle went underway.

"And they're all making quick work of that swarm," Luan added, as, true to her word, the trainer's Pokemon were battling and fending off the swarm, "Hasn't even been five minutes, and they've already managed to take down half of the swarm."

"Man, this is so cool!" Lana exclaimed.

"But who do those other ones belong to?" Lola wondered, noticing Mudkip, Taillow, Ralts, and Pinsir.

"They must belong to that Raigo guy," Luan theorized. It was then that the green cocoon Pokemon began to glow, "What's going on here?" she asked, as Lincoln's Kakuna had evolved into the Beedrill they had met.

"Could that be the 'evolution' thing the professor mentioned earlier? It's like some kind of metamorphosis, like how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly," Lana deduced. A few more minutes passed, and the swarm had finally been defeated, leaving the Queen Beedrill to frantically look around, bewildered at what had just happened.

"That fight didn't even last ten minutes!" Lynn Sr. commented, as Lincoln and friends exited the cabin.

"So that must be that Raigo friend of Lincoln's. And who's the kid in the samurai getup?" Lori wondered.

"What I want to know is why their Pokemon are counting the swarm," Luan replied, as she saw the Pokemon counting each defeated Beedrill, Weedle, and Kakuna.

"That was awesome!" Rusty exclaimed in awe at the raw power of Pokemon.

"They managed to take down every one of those Beedrill!" Stella added.

"Hearing about from Lincoln is nice and all, but actually getting to see it first hand is quite a treat," Lisa replied.

"As a peace offering to Lincoln, the Queen of the Swarm had given him what is known as a 'Mega Stone'. You might be asking 'what's a Mega Stone?' Well, to answer that question, a Mega Stone is something that is required for a mid-battle transformation known as 'Mega Evolution', where a Pokemon's hidden potential is released all at once, and their appearance changes as well. Unlike normal evolution, Mega Evolution only lasts as long as a battle, and the Pokemon returns to their original state afterwards. Of course, only a small handful of Pokemon are able to use Mega Evolution, and each have their own unique Mega Stone. According to a colleague of mine, Professor Augustine Sycamore, the Mega Stone in question that Lincoln received is called 'Beedrillite'," the video said.

"So, Lincoln got some kind of stone from those bees? Wonder what that could be all about?" Lola pondered.

"Some kind of evolution, from what I'm hearing," Luna replied.

"Sounds like a load of crap to me," Lynn grumbled under her breath.

"After that, Lincoln and company ventured to Pewter City, where Raigo challenged the Gym Leader, Brock to a battle, and won a Boulder Badge. After that match, Lincoln went to a place called the Pokemon Battle Club to train up his Pokemon to get ready for his own battle against Brock. To put it simply, the Battle Club is where trainers come to battle others, either at random, or to specifications, such as skill level and what kinds of Pokemon they wish to battle against, or to train their Pokemon. Much like the battle in Viridian Forest, I also managed to obtain the footage from Lincoln's battle. If you wish to view Raigo's battle, then please let me know, and I'll send over the very same footage. But without further ado, here's Lincoln's battle against Brock," the video said, as the screen cut to the inside of the Pewter Gym.

"I thought I heard Lincoln say something about his first battle being somewhere with rocks," Lana commented, as both Lincoln and Brock approached the battlefield.

"There's that Brock guy. Now that I get a good look at him, he's kind of cute," Luan commented.

"Eh, he is cute, I'll agree with you there, but I've already got my eyes on someone," Luna replied.

"Same here. Bobby's the only man I need in my love life," Lori added.

"Says the girl who didn't hesitate to flirt with Lincoln's tutor," Lola sniped sarcastically. Lori mere shot an annoyed glare at the bratty princess.

"It was a moment of weakness, and nothing more!"

"Sure it was." Lola and Lori then began to bicker, while the others were fixated on the screen.

"Hey you guys, looks like the battles about to start!" Lana called out, catching their attention, just as Brock had sent out Onix. Lynn Sr. let out a very girly scream upon seeing the Rock Snake Pokemon.

"What the hell is that thing?!" Lori exclaimed.

"I don't know, but all I can say is that I don't want to run into something like that, ever!" Luna replied, sounding just as terrified.

"That thing has to be no less than 20 feet long!" Lola commented.

"Man, Lincoln's so lucky to be able to meet all these monsters," Lana commented.

"Lana, what have I told you about calling that rotten jinx lucky?!" Lynn snarled, only to go ignored by the others. Lynn just grumbled as she continued to watch the report.

Meanwhile, on Lincoln's Date,

"You two were right! That was a great movie!" Lincoln commented, as he, Joy, and Jenny exited the movie theater.

"Oh, Diantha is just so natural acting out her characters," Joy commented dreamily.

"Not to mention she can make any outfit look better than it is," Jenny added, enamored by how fashionable Diantha was in the movie.

"My sister, Leni, would give just about anything just to be able to design something based on those outfits," Lincoln commented.

"Quite right. Now, where should we go for dinner?" Joy asked.

"Well, I saw a great place that's apparently the best spot for first dates among couples in this town," Jenny replied.

"Oh, I think I know the place you're talking about! The food there is really tasty, and not too terribly expensive," Joy added.

"Girls, I'm willing to take you both anywhere you want to go, so you don't need to worry about paying," Lincoln said.

"That's alright. Plus, we did kind of spring this on you last second, so, why don't we pay for dinner this time around?" Jenny offered.

"Er… well, if you insist," Lincoln relented.

"Great! And don't worry, you'll love it there! It's nice, yes modest," Joy replied, as they ventured to the restaurant in question.

Meanwhile, back at the Loud House, Luna and Luan's room,

"I-I can't believe it! That little Poliwag took down that huge rock snake?!" Lori exclaimed, as they were watching the part of the report where Poliwag had just defeated Onix with Water Pulse.

"I think Lincoln said something about that Brock guy specializing in Rock Pokemon. Water weathers away rock, doesn't it?" Luan asked.

"Now that you mention it, it does make sense," Lori replied.

"I don't believe it. Lincoln just won by a fluke. He could never legitimately win anything," Lynn stated bitterly.

"Doesn't change the fact that Brock fellow gave him one of those badge things," Lynn Sr. replied, as they continued to spy on them.

"Amazing as that was, I still find it… questionable to make animals fight each other, mostly due to my own moral standards," Rita commented.

"Well, keep in mind, the Professor said that is just as much sport for the Pokemon as it is for humans. Besides, it's no different than how regular animals often fight each other for dominance," Lisa replied.

"Right, just like lions preying on zebras, or sharks preying on dolphins," Rusty added.

"After battling with Brock, Lincoln had invited him to join the group. The next step of their journey took them to Mount Moon. You probably heard about Mount Moon from your brother, but I'll give my explanation now. In prehistoric times, a meteorite, which many have come to know as the 'Moon Stone' crashed into the side of the mountain, which is where Mount Moon got its name. Lincoln and company had to travel across it to reach their next destination, Cerulean City. During their time on Mount Moon, they encountered two researchers, Seymour and Bill. Seymour was there investigating the mysterious happenings that had been occurring on the mountain that day, while Bill was there visiting a colony of Clefairy, and around the time for the colony's evolution ceremony. Unfortunately, I do not have any sort of footage from that event, but I was able to get into contact with Bill, and have him share his side of what happened on the mountain," the video said, as it cut to an image of the green haired man in question.

"Hello, Loud Family. As Professor Oak just said, my name is Bill. I'm the man who invented the Pokemon Transport and PC System, as well as a Pokemon Enthusiast. Though my research hs led some to dub me as a 'Pokemon Maniac', which, I will admit is rather demeaning, despite how accurate it is," Bill said, introducing himself.

"So this is the man that built the Transport System," Lisa mused, as Bill went on to explain everything that happened on Mount Moon.

"Seems like this Bill person is pretty important," Lynn Sr. commented.

"If he is a genius as that professor guy says he is, he must fit the 'bill'," Luan chuckled, only get groans from her sisters, as they continued to listen in.

"Hmm, sounds like he was able to get invited to some kind of ceremony? And Lincoln and the others were invited as well," Lori stated.

"Sounds like the ceremony has never been seen by human eyes before that night," Lynn Sr. commented, as they heard about Lincoln and company's part in the ceremony.

"So, they were just using these 'Moon Stone' things to make some of the Clefairy evolve?" Lola questioned.

"These Pokemon keep getting cooler and more mysterious the more we hear about them," Lana replied.

"Of course, before we were able to take part in the ceremony, we ran into a bit of trouble, namely Team Rocket, who were the ones responsible for all the strange happenings in Mount Moon. They were after the meteorite that the Clefairy Colony worshipped. Fortunately, the Colony was able to dispose of them with ease, so there wasn't too much trouble," Bill continued to speak.

"Team Rocket again. Those guys seem like they're following Lincoln wherever he goes," Luna commented.

"Makes sense, the little troublemaker," Lori bitterly grumbled.

"Well, at least they didn't get the meteorite," Lynn Sr. commented, as the video cut back to Professor Oak.

"After helping out the colony with their ceremony, Lincoln was able to add a grand total of five new Pokemon to his team, with one extra of two of them. The Pokemon he caught were a Sandshrew, two Cleffa and Clefairy, a Shiny Clefable, and a Paras. One of the Cleffa and Clefairy only joined up with Lincoln so they could be Wonder Traded. Paras wasn't too pleased with being caught by Lincoln, so he decided to Wonder Trade it away too, but we'll get back to that later. For now, we'll move on to the Cerulean City Gym Battle, where Lincoln took on Misty for a Cascade Badge," the video then cut to what appeared to be a giant, indoor swimming pool. Lincoln was standing on one end of it, with Pikachu and Ralts by his side. On the other end was Misty, in her mermaid costume.

"Whoa, she's a total knockout!" Rusty commented.

"Y-Yeah, she is," Ronnie Anne blushed.

"Makes sense for her to dress like a mermaid in a place that looks like an indoor pool," Luan commented.

"And Lincoln gets to hang with a chick like that? Lucky bastard," Luna commented jealously.

"Luna, you're already dating that Sam boy, aren't you? You shouldn't go letting Ronnie Anne's fantasies of same-sex relationships mess with your heads. Those only happen in TV dramas and novels," Lori stated.

"Lori, Sam is…" Luna was cut off by Lori shoving her hand into her sister's face.

"Quiet, I want to see Lincoln mop the floor with that tramp," she ordered, not noticing the dirty glare Luna was giving her, just as the battle between Zubat and Poliwhirl got underway.

"I don't like what I'm seeing. It's like she's showing off for that looser with those fake tits of hers!" Lynn grumbled.

"Maybe it's because she's smitten with him, and wants to charm him, just like an actual mermaid," Lola mused.

"No! Absolutely not! Lincoln already has a girlfriend that meets MY approval, and that's Ronnie Anne!" Lori declared.

"But you heard what she said the last time she was here, didn't you, Lori? Ronnie Anne likes girls," Luan replied.

"She's just confused, and hasn't gotten her priorities straight. Besides, both she and Lincoln don't know what's best for themselves. I, on the other hand, do know what's best for them," Lori proclaimed, only to get strange looks from her sisters, "What?"

"You? Know what's best for him? This coming from the girl who forces us to do her chores in exchange for rides to places?" Lola questioned rhetorically.

"The same girl who always uses her age and status as the first-born child to get first dibs on everything?" Lynn added.

"The same girl who acts like a tyrant whenever Mom and Dad aren't around?" Luan added.

"The same girl who was willing to sabotage Leni's chances at getting a driver's license?" Luna added.

"What!? I didn't sabotage her chances! I just…" Lori was trying to come up with an excuse to make herself look better, but came up with nothing.

"Sabotaging Leni's chances at getting a license. Yes, we know. You wouldn't have done something like that unless it was for your own selfish needs," Luna spat.

"You guys, suck, you know that, right?" Lori pouted.

"EEK, SPIDER!" they heard Leni scream. Upon looking at the screen again, they saw that Misty had just sent out Dewpider, which made quick work of Zubat, and put up a good fight against Riolu, eventually forcing Lincoln to forfeit the round.

"That dog thing lost to a bug? Man, talk about weak," Lynn chided.

"Well, at least your brother knew when to stop," Lynn Sr. stated in a tone that carried disapproval towards his daughter.

"Yeah, Lincoln may be a selfish jinx, but he's not THAT heartless," Lana added, as Lincoln had sent in Pikachu, and defeated Dewpider. It was just after Misty recalled Dewpider that she sent out her last Pokemon, which caused Lynn Sr. to faint from fright on the spot.

"And here I thought that rock snake was scary looking, that thing's down right terrifying!" Luan reeled back in shock.

"And Lincoln had to battle that?!" Lola exclaimed, pointing at Gyarados.

"Man, it's not fair that Lincoln gets to see something that cool," Lana whined.

"Well, we did agree with Pop-Pop to send him over to Kanto in the first place," Lola reminded.

"If I had known he was having the time of his life, I would never had agreed to Pop-Pop's suggestion. Aunt Ruth's is the perfect place for that rotten jinx. He deserves to suffer for ruining my game," Lynn grumbled.

"Would you give it a rest already with your game, Lynn? It's been, what, an entire month since you lost? How long do you intend to keep this ridiculous grudge against Lincoln?" Luna asked.

"As long as I feel like holding it against him! He ruined a winning streak my team had going all season by ruining that one game!" Lynn retorted. A thunderous bang then rang through the room, causing them all to cover their ears.

"The bloody hell?!" Luna yelled, as they turned to the laptop screen. They saw on the Videophone that Pikachu had just taken down Gyarados.

"Hey, Lincoln won!" Luan exclaimed.

"WHAT?!" Lynn yelled in disbelief as she looked at the screen, seeing Pikachu was still standing, while Gyarados was unconscious, "This isn't right. Lincoln's a loser and a jinx. He must've cheated somehow! No way he could've won that battle legitimately!"

"Well, the footage says it all. And it looks like he won another badge. That makes two in total," Luan commented. Luna then began to wonder something.

"Hey guys, do you think the reason Lincoln's doing so well is because we're not there?" she asked, causing her sisters to look at her in bewilderment.

"What do you mean?" Lana asked.

"What I mean is that maybe the reason for all of Lincoln's failures may have been because we've been holding him back? It's just a theory, but still," Luna replied.

"Luna… we wouldn't do something like that to Lincoln," Luan replied, sounding distressed by such a question.

"Yeah, teasing him is one thing, but purposely sabotaging him is quite another," Lola agreed, sounding just as distressed as Luan.

"Luna, is something bugging you? You're kind of acting… off today," Luan asked.

"N-No. I guess I just may be overthinking things," Luna replied, "Maybe the wasp venom is still making me irritable."

"Ok, if you say so," Luan replied uneasily, as they continued watching the video.

"After winning at the Cerulean Gym, Lincoln went for another Wonder Trade, this time getting these three Pokemon," the professor then pulled up images of Bounsweet, Goomy, and Trapinch, "From left to right, they are Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokemon, Goomy, the Soft Tissue Pokemon, and Trapinch, the Ant Pit Pokemon. Upon my most recent conversation with him, I learned that he had received his Bounsweet from his grandfather, Leonard Loud."

"WHAT?!" the Louds all exclaimed.

"I didn't know Gramps was travelling in a Pokemon Region," Lucy commented.

"I bet he'll be very surprised to see Lincoln's in Kanto," Rita replied.

"Though, do you think Linkey will tell him about what we did?" Leni asked innocently. The Louds, apart from Lynn, all tensed up. They knew that Grandpa Leonard's temper was on the same level as Albert's.

"W-well, maybe Lincoln can mention that he's managed to forgive some of us, and, hopefully, Gramps will take it easy on us," Lisa theorized.

"Oh man, this cannot be good! If Dad hears about this, then he'll never let us hear the end of it. Or worse, he won't speak to us ever again!" Lynn Sr. fretted.

"Relax, Dad. I can schmooze things over with Gramps, easy-peasy," Lynn boasted.

"Just as long as you don't run that big mouth of yours," Luan muttered.

"Continuing on, Lincoln and company decided to head north of Cerulean City to Cerulean Cape for a little R&R. Their journey took them through Routes 24 and 25, where Lincoln was able to catch three, incredibly rare Pokemon; Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. These three Pokemon are the starter Pokemon that new trainers may receive from myself or any other research facility. He first met Bulbasaur, who joined up with them after helping defend a hidden rehabilitation village for Pokemon from Team Rocket. Afterwards, they continued onward, eventually finding a stray Charmander, which belonged to a young man named Damian. According to Lincoln, Damian had left Charmander on a rock in order to search a nearby mountain for a rumored stone that could help increase the power of Charmander's final, evolved form, Charizard. However, leaving it alone on the rock had led many to believe that Damian had abandoned it," the video said.

"Why do I have a feeling this is going to get dark?" Girl Jordan commented.

"Lincoln had gone searching the mountain for Damian, and he was able to find him, but Damian was in critical condition, and was knocking on death's door. From what I was told, Damian was in that state for three whole days. If not for Lincoln's quick actions in bringing him back to the Pokemon Center, Damian would not have survived."

"Wait, so if that Damian guy was close to dying, then that means Lincoln could potentially find himself in the same boat?" Zach questioned, blanching at the thought of one of his friends dying.

"Well, it's a good thing that Lincoln came by when he did," Leni chimed in. The rest of the Louds were shocked to hear about Lincoln's act of selflessness. The only one who wasn't was Lynn, who pointed at the laptop accusingly.

"There! You see!? Lincoln IS bad luck, and what happened to that Damian guy proves it! I knew I was right all along!" she boasted with pride. However, instead of agreeing with her, each of her sisters looked at the young jock with stony expressions, "What?" was all Lynn could say, slightly unnerved by looks she was getting. Then, without warning, Luna slapped Lynna cross the face, HARD.

"How. Dare. You?! In case you weren't paying attention, that Damian guy was in that state for three whole days, and he would've croaked if Lincoln hadn't come along to save him! You heard that, right? Lincoln saved a man's life! But I guess him being bad luck takes priority than being a good person, huh?!" Luna yelled.

"Luna has a point. You literally disgust me by trying to use the fact that Damian almost died to prove your point about Lincoln," Lori added.

"Yeah, even I wouldn't joke about something like this! You went WAY too far with this!" Luan added.

"But guys, I…" Lynn was cut off.

"Save it. Just get out of this room!" Luna ordered. Clearly shaken by the onslaught of anger from her older sisters, Lynn quickly ran out of the room, "Thanks for backing me up, you two."

"No problem. And we can agree on one thing; this whole 'bad luck' mess is tearing this family apart," Luan replied.

"I know what you mean. Not only have we lost Lincoln's respect, but Mom's temper is at a hair trigger level, and we're getting a taste of even worse luck than what Lincoln's been accused of bringing. It's like we're getting a taste of karma for ourselves," Luna replied.

"Luna, you're just overthinking things. We're just going through a rough patch right now. I'm sure that when our brother gets back, things will get back to normal," Lori reassured.

"Well, if you say so," Luna replied, still sounding unsure.

"Looks like the report is wrapping up," Lana called out, as they rejoined back at the laptop.

"…And that's how Lincoln was able to help round up some troublemaking Squirtle, even managing to catch one. Now, during his travels from Cerulean City to the last town he called from, two of his Pokemon have managed to evolve. First of which being his Bounsweet, which evolved into a Steenee during a battle with my grandson, Gary, on the Nugget Bridge. The second was Ralts, who evolved into Kirlia while on the Damian rescue mission," the video then displayed images of the two Pokemon in question.

"Hmm, so the Fruit one turned into a more, humanoid Pokemon, while the other kind of looks like a ballerina," Lynn Sr. observed.

"We should ask Lisa if we can take a look at the data Lincoln sent over from that, I think it's called a 'Pokedex', to see more information," Lana suggested.

"Sounds like a good idea," Luna replied.

"And one additional thing Lincoln had brought up during our most recent call was that, to celebrate helping catch the troublesome Squirtle, he took the Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny interns he met in Viridian City out on a date," the video said.

"Oh my, Lincoln's certainly getting lucky with the ladies," Rita mused mischievously.

"Why that little…?! It's bad enough he's cheating on Ronnie Anne with that Misty tramp, but now he's cheating on both of them with two other girls?!" Lori fumed.

"And to avoid any sort of confusion, I should point out that harem marriages between one many and multiple women are legal in any of the Pokemon Regions," the video then said.

"Well, if that's the case, then Lincoln's technically NOT cheating on Misty, especially if they're not official yet," Luna pointed out.

"I already told you, there's only ONE girl in the world that I have destined Lincoln to be with, and that's Ronnie Anne! Any other girl is just out of luck!" Lori proclaimed.

"Now Lori, that's not how romance works. Arranged relationships practically died out at the same time as the dinosaurs," Lynn Sr. said, trying to calm his eldest daughter down.

"B-But they're literally meant for each other!" Lori argued.

"Yeah, maybe to YOUR standards, but the two of them have the right to decide who they get to date and potentially marry," Luna countered.

"Well, it doesn't matter. Lincoln is to be with Ronnie Anne. End of story," Lori said, as she left the bedroom, leaving the others to finish watching the report.

"And with that, Lincoln Loud's second Progress Report is concluded. During our last call, he had mentioned that his friends had expressed a very keen interest in becoming trainers. If they are there, and if you have any questions, I'm sure Lisa will be more than willing to send a recorded message for me to answer any inquiries you might have," and with that, the report had concluded.

"Well, there you guys have it. What do you think?" Lisa asked.

"Those battles were awesome!" Rusty exclaimed.

"To think that there are possible alien Pokemon, it's all mind blowing!" Zach added.

"I think I would much like to try to learn about Pokemon before setting out on a journey of my own," Girl Jordan replied.

"I still find it a bit… unsettling that Lincoln could potentially die out there, away from us. From… me," Rita added, still shaken from the part of the report regarding Damian.

"Don't forget, Lincoln's a smart guy. He'll no doubt always find a way around anything dangerous, and if not, then a way to reduce the danger," Clyde replied.

"So, am I right to assume each of you want to try your hands at becoming Pokemon Trainers?" Lisa asked.

"You bet! Though, Girl Jordan does raise a valid point. I want to learn more about Pokemon before setting out on my own journey," Clyde replied.

"I'd just like to try and find some alien Pokemon," Zach added.

"For me, I would love to do some sightseeing," Stella added.

"If sightseeing means checking out the ladies, then I'm definitely in," Rusty added.

"Maybe there're some Pokemon that can help out on the farm," Liam added.

"I'd love to try out for the regional championships myself. Though, it may be a bit late to try out for the Kanto League, but maybe if I can got to another region, then maybe," Ronnie Anne added.

"Well, then we should begin with our own recording then," Lisa said, as Luan then cut off the video feed.

"So, Lincoln's been rather busy as of late," she commented.

"Man, I wish I was as old as he and his friends are. I want to go to a Pokemon Region too!" Lana exclaimed.

"But keep in mind, Lana, what the professor said happened to that Damian person. Pokemon Training may sound like fun, but it also sounds pretty dangerous," Lynn Sr. reminded.

"Dad, I wrestle alligators as one of my pass times. I think I can handle myself," Lana replied.

"Well, I still don't know," Lynn Sr. replied, sounding as unsure as ever.

"Well, at least with the Pokemon Lincoln can send over, we'll at least learn about them that way, right?" Luan asked.

"Uh, yeah… sure," Luna replied flatly, gaining concern from the others.

"Luna, are you still thinking about how we possibly sabotage Lincoln?" Luan asked.

"I can't help it, alright? Just listening to that report, you can't help but think that it's a possibility," Luna replied. Lana and Lola cast uneasy glances towards one another.

"Luna, as Lori said before, you're just overthinking things. Once Lincoln comes home, I'm sure things will be back to normal," Lynn Sr. replied, as he and the twins left.

"Dad does have a point. It's probably the guilt over how we treated Lincoln during this whole ordeal that's talking to you," Luan then said.

"Well, as I said, you can't rule out that possibility. Just think of it this way—Lincoln's out there without us, making a name for himself, catching rare Pokemon, earning badges, sticking it to those Rocket guys, and being able to go out with two girls at once. Now compare that to how things have been here. Has Lincoln ever managed to do anything like that here in Royal Woods?" Luna asked.

"I-I… uh," Luan was at a loss for words, "Ok, so maybe we do get in his way from time to time, and maybe we should let him do things as he planned out, but still."

"In any case, could you leave me be for a little bit? I want to mull things over," Luna requested, lying down on her bed. Luan, deciding it best not to argue with her older sister any further, respected her wishes, and left the bedroom. Unbeknownst to her, a small portion of her mind agreed with what Luna had said.

In the Twin's bedroom,

"Lola, do you think maybe we have taken this whole bad luck thing too far?" Lana asked her twin, who was brushing her hair.

"As much as I don't want to say it because of 'you-know-who', maybe we have. I mean, Lincoln's always helped us out, even if most of the time was for his own benefits," Lola replied, as she stopped brushing her hair.

"True, but listening to what he did for that Damian guy, it kind of sets a new perspective, right?" Lana asked.

"You have a point. But unless we can have solid evidence that Lincoln was, in fact, pretending to bad luck, we have to remain inclined to believe that to be true. Though, I am starting to have serious doubts about it myself," Lola replied.

"You and me both. I'm just hoping that this whole mess blows over soon, and things can go back to how they were before," Lana replied.

Elsewhere, in Royal Woods,

Margo was enjoying some lunch with her roller derby teammates, which included Polly Pain, one of the girls that Lincoln was set up to date at the Sadie Hawkin's Dance, "Can you believe the nerve of Lynn? Trying to get us to come practice with her, even after she got us disqualified!" one of the teammates said.

"Well, her over reliance on superstitions was bound to catch up to her. She's got no one to blame but herself," another teammate said.

"Guys, can we NOT talk about Lynn? This is supposed to be a NICE outing," another teammate pleaded.

"Yeah, you're right. So, what can we talk about?" the second teammate asked.

"Well, I remember seeing something about Flip's Food & Fuel getting shut down due health code violations and keeping winning lottery tickets for himself," Polly chimed in.

"Yeah, it's strange though. A lot of people know about how big a crook Flip is, but he always manages to cover his tracks," Margo commented.

"I did hear something about how he purposely sealed in Lynn's family at the Burpin' Burger with some snow just to get that winning burger wrapper," the first teammate said.

"Just goes to show you that you'll always get what's coming to you," Polly replied.

"Just like how Lynn got was coming to her at the last softball game. I'm glad she's finally gone," the second teammate said.

"Yeah, but what I want to know is why she had it out so badly for her brother," Margo commented.

"You mean Lincoln? Why would she have it out for him?" Polly asked.

"It's because she thinks he's bad luck, all because of the loss we had at the hands of the Lions," Margo replied.

"Really? That's dumb," the first teammate commented bluntly.

"And am I to assume that it's not the case?" Polly asked.

"You're right about that. Here's what really happened that day," Margo said, as she began to explain what happened that day.

Meanwhile, back on Lincoln's date,

Lincoln, along with Joy and Jenny, had just arrived at the police station, "I really enjoyed our time together, Lincoln. Too bad we had a curfew," Jenny said.

"I enjoyed our time together too, Jenny," Lincoln replied.

"Well, you did say you were heading for the Cerulean Cape, right? Since I got the assignment I was given done early, maybe I can join you and your friends?" Jenny asked hopefully.

"Uh, sure, I'm all for it. But I'll have to let Brock and Misty know too," Lincoln replied.

"Great! And I have the perfect swimsuit for the occasion! I'll see you in the morning, Lincoln," Jenny said, leaning down to give Lincoln a kiss on the cheek. Lincoln blushed at the kiss.

"See you in the morning, Jenny. Have a good night," Lincoln said, as he and Joy made their way back to the Pokemon Center.

"I quite enjoyed our night as well, Lincoln," Joy said.

"I'm glad to hear it. That invitation to the Cerulean Cape is extended to you as well," Lincoln replied.

"Really?! I'm so glad!" Joy exclaimed, scooping Lincoln up into a tight hug.

"As much as I like being smothered in your huge tatas, could we wait until we get you back by curfew?" Lincoln asked.

"Oh, right! Aunt Joy's pretty strict when it comes to curfew," Joy replied, as they continued to the Pokemon Center, eventually making it with five minutes to spare.

"Glad to see you two are back finally. I take it you enjoyed yourselves?" the older Joy asked.

"We did, Aunt Joy. Lincoln was a real gentleman," Joy replied.

"Well, that's good to hear. Your friends just came back from the bathhouse a little bit ago, Lincoln," the older Joy said.

"Thanks. I'll see you all in the morning," Lincoln said.

"Good night, Lincoln," Joy said, as she leaned down to plant a kiss on his other cheek. Lincoln once again blushed at the kiss, as he made his way back to the room he and his friends were staying in, "By the way, Aunt Joy, Lincoln had invited myself and Jenny to join him and his friends at the Cerulean Cape."

"Did he now? Well, you already completed the work studies here a few days ahead of schedule, so it's alright with me if you want to go with them," the older Joy replied.

"Really?! Great! I'll go pack my bags!" Joy said, as she went off somewhere.

Meanwhile, back at Lincoln's party's room,

Lincoln had entered the room, just as Brock and Misty were getting ready to turn in for the night, "Hey Lincoln, how'd it go?" Misty asked.

"Pretty well. Both of them seemed to enjoy themselves," Lincoln replied.

"Well, that's good to hear," Misty replied, hiding her own burning jealousy.

"Man, some people get all the luck," Brock lamented.

"Yeah… now may not be the best time to bring this up," Lincoln said sheepishly.

"Bring what up?" Misty asked.

"I kind of extended an offer to go to Cerulean Cape to both Joy and Jenny," Lincoln explained.

"Really? Well, I don't see how that's a bad thing," Misty replied.

"Well, seeing how Brock was just now, it kind of feels like I'm rubbing it in his face," Lincoln replied.

"No, it's fine. Besides, there are plenty of cute girls out there that I'm sure I can score at least ONE date with," Brock replied.

"Well, if you're sure," Lincoln replied.

"Besides that, the Cape will take most of tomorrow just to reach by sunset," Misty replied.

"Great! And once we're done having some fun on the beach, we can go visit Bill in his lighthouse," Lincoln stated.

"Sounds like a plan. And I can start planning for a barbeque," Brock commented.

"Well, we should get some sleep. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow," Misty said, as she turned in, as did Brock. Lincoln grabbed his pajamas and went to the bathroom to change. Once done, he returned to crawl into bed.

"So, care to give me the details?" Pikachu asked, crawling up next to Lincoln.

"Maybe in the morning. I'm feeling pretty tired after today's adventures," Lincoln replied.

"Ah, very well, if you insist," Pikachu replied, as they finally dozed off.

To clarify, the Casagrandes moved to Royal Woods after the street gang of cats caused too big a mess in their neighborhood.

Also, I plan on having Lincoln's anime-canon Pokemon (i.e. Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle) evolve not quite at the required level, but around that time
