The Castle That Never Was, the next day:
At the round table, Maleficent, Pete, Mortimer, Magica, and Negaduck were chatting with various villains. Glomgold, Ma Beagle, Don Karnage, Hades, Zira, Ushari, Black Heron, and Steelbeak were talking.
"So what was the whole glowy thing going on in Disney Town yesterday?" Hades asked. "Looked like the time Aphrodite sent a love wave across Olympus on what you call Valentines' Day."
"Was it Martians?" Glomgold suggested.
"Yes Flintheart, aliens invaded the Earth already." deadpanned Ma Beagle.
"Though it might still happen with Lunaris and his people." said Mortimer.
"It was Toad Liu Hai, ancient spirit of Chance and Fortune, an old comrade of Magica's and I." Maleficent said.
"Ah yes, he feeds on the good luck from the lucky and greedy." Magica said with a malicious grin.
"Great, so can we bring him to our side?" Pete asked.
"Unfortunately no." said Black Heron. "That lucky goose, Gladstone Gander, killed him with the help of his family."
"And any trace of him is permanently gone, just like his casino last year." Magica added with a frown.
"Well we still have potential help." said Karnage. "Especially since Felldrake and Sheldgoose are working on restoring some of our fallen allies."
"I will be over the moon to see Scar again." Zira said with a longing, but evil grin.
"Sheesh, are you sure you and that evil lion aren't mates?" Negaduck asked.
"I wish." Zira said lustily, making several of the villains uncomfortable.
"So what's our next move?" questioned Ushari.
Before any of the five lead villains could talk, they heard a smashing sound.
"What was that?" Glomgold asked.
They all looked to the farthest side of the room. There was Yzma, dressed in a long navy blue dress, black spats, and a small cover hat with black feathers on them, using a mallet to smash head busts of a young man with long hair and earrings.
Beside her holding several more busts was a tall muscular man with balck hair that reached midway to his neck, wearing a small colgen hat with an antenna on it, wearing a blue sleeveless shirt with gold trimming, gold gauntlets on his arms and legs, a purple skirt tied together with a lavender sash, and balck spats. It was Yzma's (current) henchman, Kronk. Although he served Yzma, he wasn't really evil. He had a good heart.
"He can't get rid of me that easily! Who does that ungrateful little worm think he is?" Yzma growled as Kronk put the bust on a stone pedestal. "Does he... A little to the left." she told him.
Kronk nudged the bust into position. Yzma smashed it.
"...have any idea of who he's dealing with? How could he do this to me? Why, I practically raised him." she muttered angrily as Kronk faced another bust towards her and she smashed it.
"Yeah, you think he would've turned out better." commented Kronk.
"Yeah, go figure." Yzma muttered.
"What's gotten into Yzma?" asked Steelbeak.
"You didn't hear? Her former boss, Emperor Kuzco, gave her the sack." Negaduck replied.
Those who were used to modern terms chatted amongst themselves while those who weren't looked confused.'
"In English please?" Ushari deadpanned.
"It means she was fired." Mortimer replied. "Just like when Janja fired Cheezi and Chungu for being incompitent idiots back in your world."
"Ah yes, Janja did mention that back when he and his clan worked for Scar." Ushari nodded.
"How come she was fired?" Hades inquired.
"Well according to the emperor, she had a bad habit of running the kingdom behind his back." Magica replied.
"Please, she would be a better leader." scoffed Black Heron.
"Which is why we recruited her to our side." Maleficent said. "She has such darkness in her heart that Master Xehanort likes."
"And that Kronk guy, how come he was recruited?" Ma Beagle asked.
"Well she gets a new henchman every decade, and he just so happens to be the current one." Heron said.
"If you all don't mind, I am trying to exploit my outrage over here!" Yzma said in annoyance.
"Apologies, Yzma." Maleficent said.
"Well, it's better you're takin' out your anger on these things instead of the real Kuzco, huh?" Kronk asked.
Yzma gasped in delight. "That's it, Kronk! That's it!" she said as she grabbed Kronk by the shirt, making him drop the busts. " I'll get rid of Kuzco. Ha ha ha ha ha!" she grinned.
"The real Kuzco?" Kronk asked.
Yzma gave him a look before shoving him away. "Of course the real Kuzco. Don't you see? It's perfect. With him out of the way and no heir to the throne, I'll take over and rule the empire. Brilliant!" she grinned.
"Ah a perfect plan indeed." Heron grinned.
"And with you in control of the whole empire, you will cast your world into darkness." Hades added.
"You really were a perfect candidate to help us, Yzma." Maleficent commented.
"The pleasure is all mine, Maleficent." Yzma replied. "I enjoy such power and control. And what Kuzco has will so be mine."
"Remember, it's under Master Xehanort's control." said Pete.
"I'm well aware of that, thank you very much." Yzma muttered.
"So how does that work with you bein' fired and all?" asked Kronk.
"Aside from our outside of our world, the only ones who know about that in our world are the three of us, soon to be the two of us." Yzma said with a sadistic grin.
"And I'm one of those two, right?" Kronk asked hopefully.
"To the secret lab!" Yzma said before turning to her fellow villains.
"Say no more." said Maleficent as she waved her staff.
A flaming green portal opened up, revealing a stone area with what looked like an animal's head with two tusks. Yzma and Kronk walked through. Yzma stepped onto the platform of the floor and Kronk stood next to the head.
"Pull the lever, Kronk." Yzma ordered.
Kronk pulled the lever… only for a trapdoor to open under Yzma.
"WRONG LEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRR…!" she shouted as she fell before a splash was heard.
Everyone stared at what had happened through the portal in disbelief.
"Huh?" said Kronk.
"Well… that just happened." commented Karnage.
"And here I thought Flintheart was an idiot." said Ma Beagle.
"Don't you start with me Catherine!" Glomgold growled.
Yzma then came through a rising door on the other side with an alligator biting her rear.
"Why do we even have that lever?" she groaned as she slapped the alligator, making it yelp and scurry away,
"Get out of my way!" Yzma said to Kronk as she walked back to the statue and pulled the other lever, making the platform revolve.
The portal closed.
Ride to the secret lab:
Yzma and Kronk landed on what looked like a rollercoaster car. The bar came down as they prepared to ride.
"Please remain seated and keep your arms and legs in at all times." said the announcer.
The ride started as the car raced down a slope.
"Whee!" Yzma shouted.
"Faster, faster!" Kronk cheered.
The roller coaster went through various turns and through various designs, all while yzma held onto the bar while Kronk had his hands in the air.
"Yzma, put your hands in the air! Whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo!" Kronk cheered like a happy little kid.
The coaster hit a stone buffer and Yzma and Kronk were bolted out. They landed on the ground, now wearing white lab coats, balck boots and goggles, lavender earrings and a blue headband for yzm, and a blue hat for Kronk.
The two-high fived as they ran to a table where Yzma had various lab equipment mixing various chemicals.
"Ah, how shall I do it?" Yzma asked before she got an idea. "Oh, I know. I'll turn him into a flea, a harmless little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives, ah ha ha ha! I'll smash it with a hammer! It's brilliant brilliant, brilliant, I tell you! Genius, I say!"
As she said that, she accidentally knocked a bottle of pink substance into a potted flower that erupted in a pink explosion before showing that it had been burnt to a crisp.
Yzma and Kronk stared at the plant before it gave the former an idea.
"Or, to save on postage, I'll just poison him with this." Yzma said as she picked up the bottle. "Take it, Kronk. Oh ho ho ho. Feel the power." she said as she gave Kronk the bottle.
"Oh... I can feel it." Kronk said with a smile.
"Our moment of triumph approaches. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! It's dinner time!" Yzma laughed while Kronk grinned at the idea of dinner while lightning struck around them.
Disney Castle:
The sun was getting ready to set over the horizon. Everyone in the castle was having dinner, courtesy of Beakley and Duckworth. Sora, Riki, Kairi, Terra, Aqua, Ven, Roxas, Lea, Isa, Myde, Naminé, Xion, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Max, Oswald, Ortensia, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Lena, Violet, April, May, June, Scrooge, Ludwig, Beakley, Gladstone, Fethry, Hayner, Pence, Olette, Seifer, Rai, Fuu, Vivi, and a visiting Dilan, Even, Aeleus, and Ienzo say around the table.
"Thanks again for this lovely meal you and Duckworth made Mrs. Beakley." Minnie said politely.
"My pleasure as always, your majesty." Beakley replied.
"And thank you for inviting us to dinner." Aeleus said.
"Indeed. It is nice to get out of the castle every now and then." Dilan said in agreement.
"Only to end up in this one." joked Lea, getting several chuckled around the table.
"So how goes the progress with the army lads and lasses?" Scrooge asked, sipping his tea.
"Everyone is really getting the hang of their Keyblades." said Sora. "Thanks to there being an infinite amount of time in the Secret Forest, they're getting plenty of practice in."
"And they're able to get their magic stronger as well." Kairi added.
"How long until they're as strong as you?" joked Lena.
"Probably a long time." Naminé joked back. "As long as they know what they're doing in terms of fighting."
"What about those who don't have Keyblades?" asked Gladstone.
"They're doing very well with their weapons and other fighting skills that don't require them." Isa replied.
"And with that new simulator Fethry came up with, their training will be better than ever." Sora added.
Fethry smiled at the praise.
"Aw, thanks everyone!" he said.
"It's just got a few bigs, whoozits, and thingies that have to be checked out." Ludwig said. "But with Gyro, Fenton, Gandra, Manny, and Li'l Bulb helping out, it should be a sinch!"
"We can help as well." Ienzo chimed in.
"Indeed, you helped us create potions to extract Roxas, Naminé, and even Xion from Sora and Kairi's hearts, so it's only fair that we help you in return." nodded Even.
Ludwig chuckled. "Well thank you very much you two!" he said thankfully.
"By the way, what were you guys doing while we were dealing with Liu Hai yesterday before Sora's show?" Scrooge asked. "I know the Keybearers were training the army."
"April, Violet, and I were watching Gyro and Fenton work at the Bin." Huey said.
"Lena, June, and I bindgewatched Ottoman Empire." Louie said.
"I was working on the first car ever to be powered by water." said Luwdig before revealing a cast on his arm covering burnt spots under his sleeve. "Still in the testing stage though…" he muttered.
"Even and I were helping Master Ansem research information on the Realm of Darkness." said Ienzo.
"Dilan and I were doing our usual guard duties." Aeleus said.
"And stopped by the secret forest to help train the army for a few hours." Dilan added.
"I was swindling some telemarketing scammers." Goldie said, rubbing her fingers together.
"Launchpad and I watched some Darkwing Duck." said Beakley.
"Where is Launchpad anyway?" asked Naminé.
"Something about visiting an old friend." Goldie replied.
St. Canard:
Launchpad drove the limo over the bridge to the darkened city.
"St. Canard… the home of my hero, his hero daughter, and his magical girlfriend…" Launchpad said ominously as he drove… not paying attention to the swerving drivers.
Disney Castle:
"As for me, Webby, and May, we were shredding." said Dewey as he held up his skateboard.
"Why is your skateboard scratched?" Isa asked.
"Figaro used it as a scratching post." Dewey deadpanned.
Everyone looked over to where Minnie's pet cat, Figaro, was sleeping in his cat bed.
"Oh Figaro…" Minnie sighed.
"Believe me Minnie, I've had similar problems with Pluto before." Mickey sympathised.
"And at first I thought Sora used it to move the fridge again when he was helping clean yesterday with the brooms on vacation." Dewey added.
"Yeah but I won't need it anymore," said Sora.
He walked over to a recliner in the screening room across the hall… and lifted it with one arm
"I've been working out!" Sora said with a smirk. (1)
Everyone outside of the team was surprised.
"Whoa, Sora can do that?!" Webby asked in awe as Sora set the recliner down and rejoined them.
"He's not the only one." said Riku as he suddenly lifted up his chair with one hand and spun it on his finger before setting it back down.
Xion then lifted up the rocking chair, flexed it twice, and then set it down.
Lea suddenly lifted up the minifridge with one hand, tossed it over to his other hand and then set it down next to the regular fridge.
"Wow, that is amazing!" Dewey exclaimed.
"Hey Hayner, Pence, Olette, how did you guys meet Even and Ienzo?" Naminé asked.
"Hey yeah, you guys showed them to the mansion when they came to Twilight Town. How did they trust you?" asked Terra.
"Well it all started after Isa, as Saïx, gave us the idea to make potions to extract Roxas, Naminé, and even Xion from Sora and Kairi's hearts into replica bodies." said Even. "Ienzo and I packed as much equipment as we could, and boarded the train.
Flashback, during the events of Kingdom Hearts: Kung Fu Light Defenders Part 2 to Kingdom Hearts: Whitechapel:
Twilight Town:
The train pulled up into the station, various passengers including Wantz, Wallace, Jessie, Biggs, and Chiro the cat got out.
Even and Ienzo, who were carrying large bags, were the last ones to get off the train.
"Twilight Town. Perfect." Even said in satisfaction.
"I have to say, this place is a lot nicer than I remember." said Ienzo as the train pulled away.
"Well it has been a while since you had a mission here as Zexion." Even said as he checked around the station. "And I haven't had a mission here as Vexen because I was always busy in the lab doing dirty work for Xemnas."
"What are you looking for?" Ienzo asked.
"There is usually a map at a train station." Even muttered. "Must be getting updated."
Ienzo frowned. "It has been a while since either of us have been here. Finding the mansion is not going to be easy." he said.
"And if we don't find it, we'll never get Roxas and Naminé restored." Even added.
"So what should we do?" Ienzo asked.
"I suppose we can look around." Even sighed. "But we shouldn't draw too much attention to ourselves."
Inezo rubbed his chin. "I suppose it's better than nothing." he admitted.
Nodding, the two scientists walked into town.
A little while later, Even and Ienzo were walking through the streets in the middle of Twilight Town.
"Ugh, still no sign of the mansion!" Even groaned. "If we don't find it, the plan to assist the Guardians of Light will falter surely!"
"Don't give up Even." said Ienzo. "We can ask for directions."
"Yes, but we can't make anyone suspicious." Even replied.
Then, they began to hear what sounded like cheering.
"Hmm? I wonder what that could be." Ienzo murmured.
"Ienzo, we have to focus!" said Even.
"If there's an event going on, there's bound to be plenty of people we can ask directions for." said Ienzo.
Even sighed. "Fine. Let's go." he said.
The two made their way towards the sound of the noise. There, they saw a crowd cheering in the town square. They looked where they could see a Struggle Bat tournament going on. Hayner was up against Seifer. Amongst the audience members watching were Pence, Olette, Rai, Fuu, Vivi.
Hayner wore baggy, camouflage-print capris pants, a short, sleeveless, grey vest, and a black muscle shirt decorated with a white, crudely-drawn skull and crossbones. His shoes are the same camouflage pattern as his pants, but also sport white tips, grey soles, and each has two intersecting, black belts in place of laces. Hayner also wears a white necklace with a yellow "X" charm on it and a brown bracelet on his left wrist with several silver pins in it.
Pence wore a short-sleeved, white shirt with dark cuffs underneath a red jersey with black and white lining. The jersey sported a black silhouette of a seemingly skeletal dog with three bones above it. The phrase "Dog Street" was printed along the left side in large, white letters. He also wears blue pants, blue and white shoes with grey soles, and a purple bandana around his neck.
Olette wore an orange tank-top with a white floral design at the bottom, khaki-colored capri pants, and orange socks with white hems. She also wears cream shoes with black and yellow accents and black laces,and a beaded, sky blue bracelet on her right wrist and a black necklace decorated with a spherical, sky blue charm.
Also among the audience was a man with long, silver hair and violet eyes, as well as a number of thin scars, one of which reached from his hairline and over his left eye. He wore a loose shirt that was lilac in the front and violet in the back and black pants secured by a black belt with a silver skull belt buckle. The legs of his pants were tucked into knee-high lilac boots with swirling lavender designs on the back, and designs vaguely resembling parts of the Nobody sigil on the toes. He also tied a han purple sash with swirling white patterns on it around his waist, covering half of his left leg. He draped a long black coat with yellow lining and a yellow triangle patter lining the high collar over his shoulders, kept in place by a short silver chain attached to two silver skull pins on either side of the coat.
It was the former champion of the Struggle Bat tournament, Setzer Gabbiani.
After knocking off enough foam balls, Hayner was declared the winner.
Pence and Olette ran up to him.
"Way to go Hayner!" cheered Pence.
"You dominated Seifer!" cheered Olette.
"Thanks guys." Hayner smiled.
Seifer huffed. "Yeah sure, go ahead, embrace your victory." he snarked. "You got lucky, kid. I will be back on top, just you wait and see!"
"Don't be a sore loser, Seifer." Olette grumbled.
"Besides, did you forget that Sora's the true champion around here?" he still holds the record." added Pence.
"Seifer can easily come back on top, y'know?" said Rai.
"Definitely." said Fuu.
"That remains to be seen." said Setzer as he approached the group. "That Sora kid may be the victor, but I will regain my championship."
Hayner, Pence, and Olette rolled their eyes.
"Oh yeah? Well you forgot that I beat you before that Sora kid even came to town!" snarked Seifer.
"And you forgot that I reclaimed my victory over you last week. My desire to be great again helped me regain my triumph and dignity." Setzer smirked. "If Sora ever comes back to town, he won't know what hit him."
Hayner, Pence, and Olette rolled their eyes.
"Sora can definitely beat you again!" said Pence.
"Maybe he can, maybe he cannot." Setzer said without even looking at them. He began to walk off. "We'll see where the boy lies in his abilities."
The seven watched Setzer leave as the crowd began to disperse.
"Whatever, I'm gonna head to that new restaurant with the little chef," said Seifer.
"Same." said Fuu.
"Their food's real tasty, y'know?" said Rai.
"Oh me too!" Vivi said excitedly.
As they left, Vivi turned to Hayner, Pence, and Olette.
"Good game Mr. Hayner! See you next time!" Vivi said with a wave as he followed Seifer, Rai, and Fuu.
"I'll never understand why Vivi idolizes that jerk." muttered Pence.
"One of the mysteries of Twilight Town not even we can solve." said Hayner.
As they turned away from the direction the Disciplinary Committee went down, they spotted Even and Ienzo amongst the dispersing crowd.
"Who are they?" asked Pence. "I don't think I've ever seen them before."
"Me neither." said Olette. "Let's go ask."
The trio made their way towards Even and Ienzo.
"I must say, I've never seen such a sport before." said Even.
"Yeah, Struggle Bat's a real big deal in Twilight Town." Hayner said. "You two new around here?"
"You could say that." Ienzo said.
"What's with the coats?" Pence asked. "Are you guys doctors?"
Ienzo chuckled. "Actually, Even and I are scientists." he said.
"Ienzo is correct." Even nodded.
"Oh so those are your names?" Olette asked.
The two nodded.
"Well then, let us be the first to welcome you two to Twilight Town." said Hayner. "I'm Hayner."
"I'm Pence." said Pence.
"And I'm Olette." Olette finished.
"Nice to meet you." Ienzo smiled.
"So what brings you to town?" Hayner asked.
"It's a matter of… secret business." Even replied in a firm tone.
The trio raised their eyebrows.
"Secret business? So like a secret experiment or something?" Pence asked.
"I guess you can say that." Ienzo chuckled.
Even cleared his throat.
"Yes, well, we heard that there was a mansion in town around here. It has a computer lab, correct?" Even asked.
Hayner, Pence, and Olette were surprised.
"Y-Yeah it does." said Olette, surprised.
"Why do you need to use that lab?" Hayner asked.
"Because, it retains information our master has that can benefit some allies of ours." Even replied.
"'Master'? 'Allies'?" Hayner repeated, perplexed.
"Hold on a minute…" Pence said as he pondered what they were saying. "From the way you guys talk… are you from another world?"
Even and Ienzo were taken aback.
"...what makes you say that?" Ienzo asked.
"Just from the way you talked." Hayner replied.
"And we know a few people from other worlds." Olette said.
"You do?" Even asked, surprised.
The trio nodded.
"Yeah, two humans named Sora and Kairi, a mouse king named King Mickey, a duck named Donald, and a dog named Goofy." said Olette.
Even and Ienzo traded surprised glances. They knew Sora, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy? If that was true, maybe they knew Roxas as well. Or at least knew-of him.
"Tell us what you know." said Ienzo.
The teen traded unsure glances.
"Why should we?" Hayner inquired.
"Because we're allies to Sora and his friends." Ienzo said.
"You are?" Olette asked.
"They don't know it just yet, but we hope our project can benefit them." Even said.
Hayner, Pence, and Olette looked at one another. They weren't sure if they should tell two random strangers what they knew.
"Don't worry." Even assured them with a small smile. "When it comes to our scientific work, we want to help people."
"Well… ok." said Pence.
So the three told Even and ienzo about how they knew about Sora and his friends, as well as their 'connection' to Roxas, how they befriended Kairi before Axel took her, and how they sent Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Mickey into the virtual Twilight Town.
"And we haven't seen them since then." finished Olette.
"Fascinating." mused Even. "So do you think you can take us to the old mansion? Our master's information there will be very useful for Sora and his friends."
"We can show you." Olette nodded.
"Follow us." said Hayner as he walked out of the town square.
Even and Ienzo grinned as they followed the trio.
After a short while, they came near the edge of town.
"So if you take a left next to the market, march straight ahead." instructed Hayner.
"Then you'll find the lab." added Olette.
"Thank you three very much." thanked Ienzo.
"Why do need to use this lab so badly?" asked Pence.
"We'll tell you once we finish our project." replied Even.
Suddenly, a Corridor of Darkness opened near them as a person in a long black Organization cloak came out.
"The Organization!" exclaimed Hayner.
"Which member do you think it is?" asked Pence.
The man pulled down his hood to reveal a mullet-haired boy that was dirty blonde.
"Demyx?!" exclaimed Ienzo.
"Huh?" asked the boy. He turned to face the five. "Vexen! Zexion! Hey guys!" he waved.
Even sighed. "It's Even and Ienzo now, what are you doing here Demyx?" he asked.
"Actually, it's Myde now." replied the mullet-haired boy. "And I was trying to escape the bad guys."
"Why? Weren't you one of them?" asked Olette.
"Yeah, but that was when I was Demyx. Now, I want to help make up for my mistakes." replied Myde. "I was trying to get to Disney Castle to tell them I want to help, but I couldn't get in." he added, groaning at his earlier failed attempt to get to the castle.
"It's the Corridor of Light. It protects the Castle form the Darkness." replied Ienzo.
"But Axel managed to get in." complained Myde.
"His name is Lea now. And that is because he had more experience with Corridors. Lest we forget back in the old Organization, you were No. 9, he was No. 8, I was No. 4, and Ienzo here was No. 6." reminded Even.
"Oh man..." groaned Myde.
"Don't worry Myde, I'm sure Sora and the others will be here soon so you can tell them you want to help." said Olette, patting Myde's back.
"Until then, you can hang with us." offered Pence.
"Thanks guys!" smiled Myde.
"Very well then, let's get going. Ienzo and I have a lot of phone calls to make." said Even.
With that, Hayner, Pence, Olette, Even, Ienzo, and Myde went their separate ways.
The Old Mansion:
Even and Ienzo stood in front of the open gates of the abandoned old mansion.
"This is it, Ienzo." said Even. "Master Ansem's work on Roxas and his virtual home are all in here."
"And hopefully information about Naminé." added Ienzo.
"And combining our equipment with the equipment from the lab, as well as any other information, the Guardians of Light will have two more members to help." said Even. "And we will have redeemed ourselves."
Just as the two scientists were about to enter, even felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Hey there."
Even and Ienzo jumped in alarm. The two scientists turned around and saw Hayner, Pence, Olette, and Myde behind them.
"Thanks for the heart attack!" Ienzo exclaimed in annoyance.
"Oh what? Did I scare you?" Hayner snarked.
"Our bad." giggled Olette.
"I thought the four of you were going to be back in the town." Even said in confusion.
"We were." said Pence. "But then we realized that you two were gonna get lost in the mansion. You don't know the inside of it better than us."
"Yup. We've been in here before when we had to get Sora, Donald, Goofy, and the king to the alternate Twilight Town." Hayner nodded.
"And we're still curious." added Olette. "We want to know if there's any way we can help you."
"I had nothing better to do." Myde shrugged. "Figured I'd stick with these guys unless they're busy."
Even and Ienzo traded glances.
"Very well then. Lead the way." Even sighed.
With that, the four went inside.
The lab:
Hayner, Pence, and Olette led Even, Ienzo, and Myde into the lab.
"Well, this is it!" said Pence. "Your own little workspace for your secret project."
Even and Ienzo looked around.
"Amazing." Even mused. He looked at the computer. "And Ansem the Wise must've installed this computer. With this, we can get the data we need."
"We just need to set up." said Ienzo as he and his fellow scientist set down their bags and began to get out their equipment.
"I can get you into the computer!" said Pence.
He hopped into the chair. "The password was… uh… 'sea-salt ice cream', right?" he asked aloud.
Pence entered in the password and was immediately logged in.
"There, you're all set!" he said.
"Thank you Pence." Ienzo said as he set down a case of viles.
"So is there anything else you need us to do?" asked Olette.
Even set down some injectors next to a microscope and pondered.
"Well, Ienzo and I do need to make some calls." he said. "This project need all the help it can get."
"So you need more scientists to help you or something?" Hayner asked.
"Precisely." Even replied. "If I do recall, I heard from downtown that there is this new bistro run by Scrooge McDuck, correct?"
"Yeah that's right." said Olette. "Their chef's a literal rat. And he knows how to cook."
"And before we started the Struggle Bat Tournament, we saw him there." added Pence. "Why do you ask?"
"From what we recall from Master Ansem, Scrooge McDuck has a relative that is a genius scientist. Professor Ludwig Von Drake." Ienzo said. "He could be helpful, as could Mr. McDuck's top scientist Gyro Gearloose."
"So you want us to get their numbers from the richest duck and get them back to you?" Hayner surmised.
"Ienzo and I are going to be busy here getting stuff set up, as well as retrieving any information that we can from the computer." Even said as he organized some tools.
"Alright. We'll do it." said Olette.
"And we can grab a bite as well." said Pence.
"But we shouldn't spend so much. We still need cash to go to the beach." reminded Hayner. "Also, we can't forget the pretzels. Gotta buy four now."
Pence was confused as he started counting numbers. He then realized that Hayner was referring to Myde. "Oh I get it!" he exclaimed.
"He's thinking ahead!" giggled Olette.
"Glad to be a part of this hang out." said Myde.
"Later you two!" Hayner called to Even and Ienzo.
Even and Ienzo waved goodbye as the four began to leave.
Then, a thought occurred to Even.
"Myde wait!" he called.
As the Twilight town Trio left through the hall, Myde stopped.
"Huh? What?" the mullet-haired male asked.
"We might require your assistance in the future." said Even. "Tell us, can you still summon a corridor of darkness?"
Myde nodded as he waved his hand and a corridor opened on the wall next to the transport to the digital Twilight Town. He then closed it.
"Why do you ask?" he asked.
"Even and I were unable to bring certain stuff with us as we had our hands full with the equipment for the project." Ienzo said. "Sometime tomorrow afternoon, we'll need you to use a corridor to go to Radiant Garden and retrieve some items for us for the final step."
"Sounds reasonable." Myde shrugged. "OK. I'll come back tomorrow. I'm gonna go find a motel to bunk in."
"You do that." said Even as he began to work on the computer.
With that, Myde left.
Disney Castle, present:
"I remember that day!" Scrooge exclaimed. "I was checking on the progress of my bistro when those three came in and asked me for Ludwig and Gyro's numbers!"
"We told him about Even and Ienzo and he remembered them during his visits to Radiant Garden." said Olette. "We got the numbers and Pence sent them back to Even while Hayner and I got the pretzels."
"And that's how we met." concluded Hayner.
Everyone was impressed.
"Wow, cool story!" commented Dewey.
At that moment, Chip and Dale scurried in.
"Hiya fellas! What brings you here?" asked Goofy.
"The lab computer detected another world in trouble!" said Chip.
"Old or new?" asked Max.
"A brand new world!" said Dale. "Gadget's sending you the coordinates."
"Ooh, I wonder what it's gonna be like." said Kairi, enthused.
"Only one way to find out." said Riku as he got up. "Let's wash up and get going."
"Copy that." nodded Ven.
With that, the team of 20 left the room to get ready to leave.
"Do you think someday we can join them on an adventure?" Webby asked.
"That would be awesome!" Dewey exclaimed.
"Patience lads and lasses." said Scrooge, sipping his tea.
"Maybe they'll let you come along, but it might be a while." said Ludwig. "After all, like a SHUSH mission, it isn't a regular adventure they go on."
"With creatures of darkness about, it's about to be more dangerous." Beakley said as she sipped her tea. "And from what I've seen when they train, they take their job very seriously."
Gummiship:
"I think we will go with a little Bohemian Rhapsody ladies and gentlemen." said Sora as he held up a white cassette tape.
Sora sat in the co-pilot's chair with Riku piloting and Aqua on the weapons' chair. Everyone else sat behind them thiem Jiminy sat on the counsel.
"Good call Sora." Riku said approvingly.
Sora plopped in the cassette and the song began to play (beginning with the opera scene). Everyone sang along with it.

"That… was fun." Lea said when they finished.
"You can say that again." chuckled Mickey.
"I'm a queen who loves Queen!" giggled Minnie.
"You and me both sister!" said Ortensia as they fistbumped.
"Guys, we're approaching another world!" said Xion.
Everyone peered through the windshield to see a new world in sight. On top of it appeared to be a golden palace surrounded by tall, jagged rocks. Down below it was a village, next to it being a creepy forest.
"Another new world!" exclaimed Daisy.
"Think it might be a kingdom?" Goofy asked.
"Sure looks like it." said Roxas.
"Wonder what we'll find here." mused Lea.
"Only one way to find out," said Naminé.
The former female Nobody pressed down on a button and everyone was beamed down.
Jiminy took out his journal, ready to catalog new allies and enemies.
Kuzconian Empire:
20 beams of light came down from the sky. Sora and his team looked at their surroundings. They saw that they were at the bottom of a hill that had a lot of houses scattered across it. They also noticed that it was getting dark.
"Well this is a nice little town." commented Minnie.
"And look at that hill, so many houses." added Donald.
"I wonder what's going on here." said Lea.
"Maybe we should ask the guy with the horse and wagon," said Myde.
"Whaddya mean?" Lea asked.
Myde gestured over to where they saw a tall man hauling a cart filled with supplies. He was overweight with a green hand-made poncho, brown pants, black sandals and a red hat. He had a grey llama with him. What made the world-travelers frown a bit was his downcast expression.
"Wonder what's got him upset." said Lea.
"Couldn't hurt to ask." said Xion.
The group walked over to the man who took notice of them.
"Oh hello there." he said. "I don't think I've seen you lot before."
"Hello sir. We're actually travelers around here." said Sora. "I'm Sora. And those are my friends Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Naminé, Roxas, Lea, Xion, Isa, Myde, Terra, Aqua, Ven, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, and Ortensia."
"Well aren't you a crowd." Pacha mused. "I'm Pacha. I'm the village leader here." he said.
"You run this town?" Kairi asked, gesturing to the homes on the hill.
Pacha nodded. "Me and my family live on the top." he said.
"So you're practically large and in charge huh?" Myde mused.
"Yes and no." Pacha said. "We live under the guidance of our emperor, Kuzco. In fact, I'm on my way back from talking to him at his palace."
The travelers looked behind Pacha and saw the large golden palace.
"Wow…" they all said in awe.
"Your emperor's got a fine place." said Lea. 'Still, Disney Castle's better.' he said to himself.
"What were you seeing him for?" asked Riku.
Pacha seemed to hesitate at the question. "Uh… it's, uh, it's not important." he said. "So you're travelers, huh?"
"Yeah, but we're also heroes!" said Donald, smirking.
"We help protect people from danger. It's kinda our job. And a fun one." said Daisy.
"Well it's good to know that we're in good hands right now." Pacha smirked. "Say, do you lot want to spend the night at my place? It's getting pretty late."
The team was taken aback.
"Do you want us to stay at your place?" asked Minnie.
"My wife and kids won't mind. They like house guests." Pacha replied.
"I hope we won't be an inconvenience." said Aqua.
"Not at all." Pacha smiled. "No one else will be much help this late at night. And we have more than enough blankets."
The group looked at each other before making a final decision.
"Gawrsh, thanks Pacha. That's awfully nice of you." Goofy said, speaking for everyone.
"It's my pleasure." Pacha said. "Shall we?"
At everyone's nods, the group walked up the mountain.
At the house on top of the hill, three people were standing in the doorway.
One was a woman in her mid-adult years. Her hair was black and built up with a green headband, one tuft sticking on her forehead between her eyebrows. Her eye color stood between black and dark brown. She wore a yellow dress with orange lining, Peruvian sandals, and gold earrings. This was Chicha, Pacha's wife.
Another was a little girl with black hair tied into upper pigtails, one with a red band, and one with a green band, a yellow poncho held with a brown pin, a red dress, and black sandals. This was Chaca, Pacha and Chicha's daughter.
The last one was a little boy with his black hair tied up in a tiny ponytail with a red band, and a green skort.
Chicha was measuring her kids, writing the heights on the doorway.
"Mom, Mom! I think I'm still growing! Measure me again!" said Tipo.
"All right, Tipo. Stand still and let's see." Chicha chuckled.
"Mom, you and I both know that it's impossible for him to have grown in the last 5 minutes." Chaca scoffed. "Isn't it?"
Deciding to play along a bit, Chicha drew the line over the tied tuff of Tipo's hair!
"Look how much you've grown!" Chicha gasped with a smile to Tipo's happiness, taking Chaca aback.
"What? Tipo, get out of the way. It's my turn again. Measure me." Chaca insisted.
Tipo then saw something that made him gasp. "Dad's home!" he exclaimed.
The two females looked in Topi's direction and saw Pacha, Sora, and Co.
"And he brought friends!" cheered Chaca.
The two kids laughed as they ran up to Pacha, who couldn't help but smile at seeing his kids.
"Come Here!" Pacha laughed as he held the kids in his hands. "Hey, ha ha ha! Ha ha ha! Come here. Ha ha ha!"
Chaca slowly got up, carefully clutching her stomach and smiled warmly at the scene.
Sora and Co. smiled happily at the scene, fond memories coming back to Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Oswald, and Ortensia with their kids and Mickey and Moinnie with their nephews and nieces.
"Dad! I ate a bug today!" Tipo said, putting his father's hat on his head.
"Oh! Was Mom baking again?" Pacha joked, making Sora and Co. chuckle in amusement "Heh. Don't tell her I said that."
"I heard that." Chicha said, making the kids snicker.
"Dad, Dad, Dad! Look at how big I am! We were all measured today." said Tipo, dragging his father over to the door frame.
"Oh." Pacha mused.
"I'm going through a growth spurt. I'm as big as you were when you were me." Tipo exclaimed.
"Mm-hmm. Sure are." Pacha smiled.
"That's not as impressive as my loose tooth. See?" said Chaca, wiggling her loose tooth.
"So Pacha, what's with the crowd?" Chicha asked.
"Oh they're travellers, dear." said Pacha. "They help people."
"Oh is that so?" Chicha asked in amusement.
"It's true. We protect the innocent" said Sora.
"We're heroes!" Donald declared.
"Well it's good to know there's good people out there." Chicha smiled.
"Your clothes are so cool!" Tipo complimented.
"And so colorful!" commented Chaca.
"Why thank you." Kairi smiled. "You two have nice clothes too."
"So what are your names?" asked Chicha.
"I'm Sora. They're Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Roxas, Lea, Xion, Naminé, Terra, Ven, Aqua, Isa, Myde, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, and Ortensia." said Sora.
"And you're all a team?" Tipo asked in awe.
"Villains don't stand a chance against all of us! A-hyuck!" said Goofy.
"Cool!" Tipo exclaimed. "I'm Tipo!"
"And I'm Chacha" said Chacha.
"And I'm their mother Chicha." said Chicha.
"Pleasure to meet all of you." said Mickey.
"Likewiese." said Chicha. "Pacha are they spending the night?"
"I said they could." said Pacha.
"Can our house fit all of them?" Tipo asked.
"I know we can make room." said Pacha.
"Well we do have plenty of blankets." nodded Chicha. "Alright they can stay."
Sora and his team smiled while the kids cheered.
"Speaking of which, it's time for bed." said Chicha, looking at her son and daughter. "Our deal was that you could stay awake until Daddy came home. Now say good night."
Chicha and Tipo groaned.
"Dad, do we have to?" Tipo asked, him and his sister giving their father the puppy-dog face.
"Uh oh, I know that look." said Oswald.
Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Ortensia, Mickey, and Minnie nodded in agreement.
Pacha hated seeing his kids upset, but he had an idea that would make thing easier for everyone. "No, you two can stay up." he said before bringing over his unamused wife. "We're just gonna be sitting here telling each other how much we love each other. Right, honey?"
Pacha and Chicha began to make lovey-dovey noises much to the kids' disgust and adult amusement.
"Should we give you two some room?" Goofy asked, playing along.
"If you please." Chicha said with a smirk at Pacha.
"Ew!"/"Blecch!" ipo and Chaca said together before saying, " ...GOOD NIGHT. " before zooming off to their beds.
Everyone laughed.
"Works every time." chuckled Pacha.
"We know the feeling." said Donald. "Daisy and I do the same to our nieces and nephews."
"Same for Minnie and I." said Mickey.
"I used to do that with my late wife to get Maxie into bed." said Goofy, making Max roll his eyes.
"Ortensia and I have many kids. And that trick works to perfection." said Oswald.
"It sure does Honey Bunny." Ortensia cooed.
"Oh great, now there's two sets of them." groaned Myde.
"So, both of them are a handful huh?" mused Terra.
"Yep. And one more on the way." said Chicha, patting her stomach, making the travelers gasp.
"Oh, congratulations!" said Daisy.
"Why thank you." smiled Pacha.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" asked Ven.
Pacha and Chicha chuckled.
"We don't know. We'll be in for a surprise just like the last two times." said Chicha.
"And we got names ready for when it's a boy or girl." said Pacha.
"Good to hear." smiled Sora.
"So what did the emperor want?" Chicha asked.
Pacha winced and cleared his throat. "Ah… You know what? He couldn't see me." he said, though the travelers could tell he was lying.
Chicha was taken aback. "Couldn't see you? Why not?" she asked.
"I don't know." Pacha quickly said, shrugging.
"Well, that's just rude." Chicha huffed.
"Well, he is the emperor. I'm sure he's busy." Pacha pointed out.
'We can imagine.' Mickey, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia thought in unison, being rulers of their kingdoms themselves.
"No, no, no, no. No. Emperor or no emperor, it's called common courtesy." Chciha said firmly, going inside the house.
"Honey…" Pacha tried to soothe.
"If that were me, I'd march right back there and demand to see him, and you know I would." Chicha exclaimed.
"Sweetie, sweetie, think of the baby." said Pacha, trying to calm his wife down.
"Pacha, I'm fine." Chicha said calmly. "The baby's not coming for a while, but even if it was, I'd give that guy a piece of my mind. That kind of behavior just-just- Uhh! I gotta go wash something!" she huffed, going into the kitchen.
Sora and his team stared.
"Mood swings. Happens whenever someone's pregnant. I remember my wife being that way before Max was born." said Goofy.
"I remember someone else being that way too." said Oswald, giving Ortensia a teasing look. The toon cat playfully shoved her husband.
Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Minnie nodded, remembering when Della, Matilda, Amelia, Mandie, and Donna had mood swings when they were pregnant.
"But in the end, it's worth it when the little ones enter your lives." Ortensia said fondly.
Everyone smiled.
Pacha smiled at his wife as he looked at the doorway with his kids' heights drawn on them. He sadly rubbed the llama engraving. He then looked around his house with a sad expression.
"Is everything ok Pacha?" Mickey asked, concerned.
That made Chicha look up from washing the dishes and looked concerned too. "Pacha? You OK?" she asked.
That got Pacha's attention. "Hmm? Oh, yeah. I'm just a little tired from the trip." he replied "Um...I'm gonna go put Misty away."
Pacha then left the room.
Chicha glanced at the team.
"Say, would you mind talking to him?" she asked.
"Say no more Chicha, we'll see what's bothering him." said Sora with a smile. "It's probably nothing bad."
"Thank you." Chicha said as she resumed washing the dishes.
The worldly-travelers made their way to the backyard where they saw Pacha sitting down on a bench, covering his face.
"Gawrsh Pacha you ok?" Goofy asked.
"If something's bothering you, you know you can tell your family right?" asked Aqua.
Pacha sighed. "I know." he said. "It's just… this concerns my family… and our home."
That sparked some more worry amongst the travelers.
"Are you guys getting kicked out?" asked Max.
Before Pacha could reply, Myde spoke up.
"Uh, I hate to interrupt but your bag is moving." he said.
Everyone looked at the cart and saw a red sack moving around.
"What'cha got in there? Fish?" Donald asked, poking the bag.
"I don't even remember this bag." Pacha said in confusion as he undid it.
And to everyone's surprise, out came a black and red-furred llama.
"Where'd you come from, little guy?" Pacha asked.
"No touchy." the lamma slurred.
Everyone jumped back in alarm at hearing the llama talk. Pacha stumbled onto his back, Lea and Myde stumbled backwards into Mickey, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia, making them all fall over, Kairi and Naminé yelped and clung onto Sora and Roxas, Ven and Goofy accidentally ran into each other, Max fell onto his back, Daisy screamed, Donald jumped onto Isa, making the both of them fall over, Xion tripped on her heeled boots, and Riku, Terra, and Aqua stood their ground.
"Aah! Demon llama!" Pacha cried.
That made the llama panic. "Demon llama?! Where?!" he asked in a panic before facing Misty. Both llamas screamed as the one in the sack jumped out and tried to run away… but ended up tripping on his hooves.
"Oh, no! Oh, no! Oh, no! Ooh hoo hoo!" he cried as he tumbled into the dirt wall. "Ow! Ow, my head…" he groaned.
Lea grabbed two sticks and held them up like a cross. "Get back demon llama! You won't take us alive!" he shouted.
"I'm calling animal control!" shouted Ven, taking out his Gummiphone.
"Don't be ridiculous Ven… they charge double on the weekends!" Mickey cried.
"Curse you stock market!" Ven said in anger, pocketing his Gummiphone.
Pacha decided to approach the dizzy llama cartefully. "OK, demon llama. Just take it easy. W mean you no harm." he said.
"What are you talking about-" the llama asked before looking at Pacha. His eyes narrowed. "Oh, wait. I know you. You're that whiny peasant." he said in anger.
Pacha gasped. "Emperor Kuzco?" he asked.
Sora and his team froze in shock.
"Wait a minute, your emperor is a llama?!" Roxas asked in disbelief.
"And I thought Sakaar was weird." muttered Xion.
"What kind of crazy world is this?!" asked Sora.
"He wasn't like this when I visited him at the palace." Pacha said.
"Hey I'm right here! Who do you think you're talking to?" Kuzco demanded in annoyance. "Whatever you peasants have to say, you can say it in front of your emperor!"
The 21 individual traded glances.
"Uh, well that's the thing Emperor Kuzco… you, uh, don't really…" Sora trailed off.
"... look like the emperor." Pacha finished.
"What do you mean I don't look like the emperor?" Kuzco sasked rudely.
"Uh...oh... do this…" said Pacha, wiggling his fingers.
"What is this, some kind of little game you country folk like to-" Kuzco asked before he saw that his hand was a hoof. "Aah! It can't be!" he cried.
"Uh I think it is…" Terra said awkwardly.
Kuzco ran to a fountain and looked at his reflection in the water, horrified to see a llama face instead of a human face. "Aah! Aah! Aah! My face! Aah! My beautiful, beautiful face!" he cried.
"Okay, Okay, Okay." said Pacha, trying to sooth him.
"I'm an ugly, stinky llama!' Kuzco cried.
"Wait, Okay, Your Majesty." said Pacha.
"Calm down Kuzco." said Kairi.
"Llama face!" Kuzco wailed, flailing his legs.
"Shh! What happened?" Pacha asked.
Kuzco tried to slap himself to get out of the state he was in. "I'm trying to figure that out, Okay?" Kuzco said, tring to walk, only to fall flat on his chest. He began to laugh hysterically before whimpering frantically. "Ohh-ho! I can't remember. I can't remember anything.
"Just try to calm down," said Riku. "Then you'll remember."
Kuzco tried to when something came to his mind. "Wait a minute. I remember you. I remember telling you that I was building my pool where your house was, and then you got mad at me. Ohh!" Kuzco gasped before giving Pacha an accusatory glare. "And you turned me into a llama!"
"What? No, I did not." Pacha stammered angrily.
"Yes, and then you kidnapped me!" Kuzco shouted.
"Why would I kidnap a llama?" Pacha asked.
"I have no idea. You're the criminal mastermind, not me." Kuzco huffed.
"What?" Pacha scoffed.
Both looked ready to start a fight until Terra, Aqua, Lea, and Isa held Pacha back while Sora, Roxas, Xion, and Naminé did the same to Kuzxo.
"Both of you calm down right now!" Kairi said firmly. "Fighting isn't gonna solve this!"
"What part of 'no touchy' is unclear to you peasants?" Kuzco asked the four teenagers, oblivious to what Kairi was saying.
"Oh for the love of…" Sora groaned. "OK you heard what Kairi said! Just take deep breaths and calm down!"
Kuzco and Pacha took some deep breaths and calmed down, the other eight Keybearers letting them go.
"Now what's this about tearing down Pacha's home?" Sora asked.
"Oh it's a simple thing I've been planning for a while; I tear down the house on the top of the hill here and then I build my pool here as my summer home. It's my birthday gift to me!" Kuzco replied.
Pacha just growled while everyone stared at Kuzco in shock, outrage, and disbelief.
"You what?!" Donald snapped.
"You were gonna run his family out of their home to build a swimming pool for yourself?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Uh yeah! See now you get the picture!" said Kuzco.
"What picture?!" demanded Ven angrily.
"Where are Pacha and his family supposed to live?" asked Roxas.
"Don't know, don't care. Not my problem." Kuzco said dismissively.
"Um, actually it is your problem you idiot!" snapped Lea.
"You're an emperor! You're supposed to care about the people in the empire!" said Daisy.
"You can't just kick people out of their homes just because you feel like it!" exclaimed Kairi.
"Uh newsflash Redhead, I can because I'm large and in charge around here." Kuzco said smugly.
"Well considering the condition you're in, I highly doubt that." said Isa.
Kuzco pondered to himself. "Yeah you're right about that. Huh, guess you all aren't dumb. OK, I have to get back to the palace. Yzma's got that 'secret lab.' I'll just snap my fingers and order her to change me back." he said before turning to everyone. "Hey, you all. No waste. Let's go. Hey, tiny, I want to get out of this body. Wouldn't you? Now let's go."
Kuzco began to walk away, but Pacha, Sora, and his team stayed put.
"Build your summerhouse somewhere else." Pacha said firmly.
Kuzco glared in annoyance. "You want to run that by me again?" he asked.
"I can't let you go back unless you change your mind and build your summer home somewhere else." Pacha firmly replied.
"Hmm. I got a little secret for you. Come here. No, closer." Kuzo said as Pacha leaned in, but was unprepared when Kuzco shouted "I DON'T MAKE DEALS WITH PEASANTS!"
"Then I guess I can't take you back." said Pacha.
"And don't expect us to come with." Riku said firmly as eh and the other travelers glared at the llama.
"You're on your own." said Naminé.
"Fine. I don't need you. I can find my own way back." said Kuzco, walking away.
"I wouldn't recommend it. It's a little dangerous if you don't know the way." Pacha warned.
"Nice try, pal." Kuzco scoffed.
"No, really. I'm telling you, there are jaguars and snakes and quicksand!" called Pacha.
Sora and his team began to worry as well.
"Yeah and there might be Heartless too!" added Aqua.
"And Nobodies!" called Goofy.
"And Unversed!" added Ven.
"I'm not listening." Kuzco said, sing-songy.
"I'm not kidding. Listen, you cannot go in there." Pacha called again.
"La la la la. Oh. Heh heh. Still not listening." Kuzco sang as he continued down the path.
"What a prat." muttered Terra.
"He's a big palooka if you ask me." scoffed Donald.
"Fine. Fine. Go ahead!" Pacha huffed in annoyance. "If there's no Kuzco, there's no Kuzcotopia. Takes care of my problem."
"Like the way you think man." mused Lea.
As Pacha began to walk away, he couldn't help but look at the forest in worry.
Sora looked at the forest too, contemplating what to do next.
"Riku, options." he said to his best friend.
"He brought this upon himself. We could leave him to suffer." said Riku.
"Tempting, but it violates the Guardian's code." Sora reminded the silverhead.
"Oh right." Riku said in realization (3)
"You're serious? We're actually gonna help him?" Donald asked in disbelief.
"Kuzco could die out there Donald!" Minnie exclaimed.
"Minnie's right. It doesn't matter if Kuzco was being a jerk." said Mickey. "It's our job to protect the innocent from the darkness."
"And who knows what kind of villains are lurking here." added Aqua.
"They're right." Pacha sighed. "I know I'm gonna regret this, but we should help Kuzco get through the jungle."
"And maybe, just maybe, the journey might help him see the error of his selfish ways." said Sora.
"It's worth a shot." said Terra.
"I'm gonna tell Chicha that I'm gonna try to see the emperor again and then we can leave." said Pacha.
"Go ahead Pacha. We'll wait." said Minnie.
No sooner did Pacha leave, Isa frowned.
"Is' You ok?" Lea asked.
"Someone's here." Isa said. "Someone who shouldn't be here."
Carefully, the team turned around… to see Luxord behind the fence.
"Greetings everyone. It's been too long." Luxord smiled as he climbed the fence.
"Luxord!" exclaimed Roxas.
Everyone got into fighting stances.
"What are you doin' here?' demanded Goofy.
"Not to fight, I assure you." said Luxord. "Just thought I'd pay you a visit since I'm monitoring this world."
"Well do us all a favor and beat it ya putz." snarled Max.
"Yeah, we don't need your evil around here!" Sora said firmly.
Luxord chuckled as he shuffled his cards.
"It's not my evil you need to worry about," he said. "Someone else here is the real threat…. Even if they're not as dangerous as Organization XIII."
"So who's the evil villain here?" asked Riku.
"Well if I told you, it would ruin the surprise." Luxord said. "All I can say is that the villain's a manipulator. The people of this world don't even know that they're being fooled."
"You're one to talk. You know how to fool others too." said Roxas.
"Yeah, you're too crafty for your own good." added Naminé.
Luxord chuckled as he put his cards away. "You're too kind. But my time talking to you is up." he said as he opened a corridor of darkness. "Have fun on your pointless quest. The cards won't be in your favor. Trying to help Kuzco get back to his palace will end up being all to waste. But it will be amusing to see."
With that, Luxord walked through the corridor.
"I don't like this." said Terra. "Something tells me that whoever this threat is is responsible for Kuzco being a llama."
"It sounds like an attempt to get Kuzco out of the way and rule the empire." added Xion.
"Are you sure we can trust what Luxord says?" asked Oswald.
"I dunno bro, but we always have to be careful with what Organization XIII does and says." said Mickey. "As we said, Kuzco may be acting like a jerk, but we still have to protect him."
At that moment, Pacha came back.
"You all ready?" he asked.
"Yep! Let's skedaddle and find Kuzco!" said Goofy.
With that, the group of 21 left Pacha's home, unaware of what they would face in the jungle.
