Now we journey through the jungle with Pacha the village leader and Kuzco the talking llama.

Also, those who enjoyed DuckTales Rewritten, it is being reposted on DeviantArt.

Sorry for the lack of updating. It's sometimes hard to get back into the swing of certain stories. But I'll keep trying.

N/A: If I don't update as often for any of my stories, that means I'm busy with other stuff in life; school, work, other stories, etc.

Enjoy!

Kuzco walked through the forest, a smug expression on his human-turned-llama face.

"Scary jungle. Right. Ooh, a leaf. Ooh, it might attack me. Oh, it's a scary tree. [high voice] I'm afraid. Ha ha. Please. Never find my way? I'm the emperor, and as such, I'm born with an innate sense of direction." Kuzco boasted before stopping in the middle of the forest. "Okay, where am I?" he asked.

Kuzco swore he saw dozens of pairs of eyes in the darkness of the forest looking right at him. He nervously tried to make his way through the woods, trying to recognize odd shapes in the dark. He knew they were only trees and bushes, but they still looked spooky.

Suddenly, the leaves began to rustle. Kuzco gasped, thinking it was a wild animal.

Suddenly, out of the bushes came… a squirrel, holding an acorn.

"Aah!" Kuzco yelped before he saw what it was. "Hmm. What do you want?" he asked, annoyed.

The squirrel then offered his acorn, chattering.

"Oh, for me? Why, I don't know what to say." Kuzco said, taking the acorn.

The squirrel have a flattered chitter before Kuzco hit him on the head with the acorn. "Ow!" he yelped.

"Hit the road, Bucky!" Kuzco said in annoyance.

"Bucky" chatters in annoyance as he rubbed his head. Kuzco began to walk away, only to topple over a cliff and landed hard on the ground.

"Ow!" he exclaimed, only to recoil back in horror when he saw that right in front of him was a jaguar. But on it's head was the Heartless emblem. To make matters worse, there were dozens of them sleeping. "Uh-oh." Kuzco muttered.

At that moment, Bucky came down. He stopped on a ledge, pulled out a red balloon, blew it up, and folded it into a llama. But then, he pulled out a spike from the ledge and held it towards the balloon, ready to pop it.

"No, no. No, no, no, no." Kuzco muttered, panicking.

Bucky held it closer.

"No, no. No, don't." Kuzco begged, sweating.

Bucky just chattered as he poked the balloon.

POP!

The impact was so loud that Kuzco was almost blown away. But the jaguar Heartless didn't wake up.

"HA!" Kuzco snarked, only for that to wake the Heartless up.

Kuzco screamed as he ran for his life, the Heartless jaguars roaring as they chased after him. He jumped over a gap before his neck caught a low-bearing tree branch, causing him to flip over and onto the herd of jaguar Heartless. Kuzco yelped as the jaguar he was on skidded to a stop, launching Kuzco into the air where he tumbled down a hill near the edge of a cliff.

Kuzco was sweating bullets as the Heartless jaguars came near him. He was trapped between predators of darkness and falling to his death.

Suddenly, what sounded like a tarzan yell came through the air. Kuzco looked and to his shock, saw Pacha, Sora, and Co. swinging by on vines, Pacha given the Tarzan yell.

"Hold on Kuzco! We'll save you!" called Naminé.

However, just before they could get the Heartless, they leaned away to form a gap as the 21 swingers flew past them.

"We should've planned that…!" Kuzco heard Riku yell.

Kuzco gulped as the jaguar Heartless neared him once more, only for Pacha to swing back, grabbing him and holding him tightly as they swung away. Before the Heartless could do anything, they were hit by an air attack of Fira, Blizzara, Watera, Moonlight, Exo Spark, and Balloonga spells, killing them instantly.

Those attacks came from Sora and his team, who all had their signature Keyblades in one hand while the other held onto their vines.

"Eat that you freaks!" taunted Lea.

"Good catch Pacha!" called Mickey.

"Thanks Mickey!" Pacha called as he looked at a scared Kuzco. "Don't worry, Your Highness. I gotcha. You're safe now."

No sooner did Pacha finish saying that was when they swing towards a large tree branch and got tied up in it.

"Oh dear, that doesn't look pleasant." Minnie winced.

"And we're about to be in the same situation!" Terra shouted.

The 20 worldly travelers screamed as their vines wrapped them around various tree branches, four each:

Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas,

Lea, Terra, Aqua, and Ven,

Naminé, Xion Isa, and Myde,

Mickey, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia,

and Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Max.

There was a small bit of silence.

"Well… that just happened." Oswald finally said.

"Maybe I'm just new to this whole rescuing thing, but this, to me, might be considered kind of a step backwards, wouldn't you say?" Kuzco asked, unamused.

"That's one way of putting it." isa huffed.

"No, no, no. It's-It's OK. This-This is all right. We can figure this out." said Pacha.

Suddenly, there was a series of cracks.

"What was that?" Daisy asked, worried.

"I think our branches are breaking!" cried Ven.

And he was right. All six branches were old and weren't able to hold everyone's weight.

"I hate you all." Kuzco deadpanned.

The branches soon broke and everyone began to fall, screaming in terror, Goofy giving out his signature hollar.

"WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Myde screamed.

Their fall was met with bouncing off ledges before the five branches rolled over a ledge into the water. Everyone resurfaced, but were met with raging waves as they were knocked all into several large rocks.

Eventually, they were soon floating in a quiet part of the river. Everyone coughed and sputtered as they tried to catch their breaths.

"Oh man… what a ride…" breathed Sora.

"Remind me never to swim in a river for a while." panted Max.

"I don't know about you, but I'm getting all funned out." Kuzco panted.

"You ain't the only one." muttered Myde.

Pacha then saw something that made his eyes widen. "Uh-oh." he said.

Kuzco's face fell flat. "Don't tell me. We're about to go over a huge waterfall." he deadpanned.

"Yep." Pacha replied noncahalalty.

"Of course." grunted Isa.

"Sharp rocks at the bottom?" Kuzco asked.

"Most likely." Pacha replied.

"...Bring it on." Kuzco muttered.

They all toppled over the waterfall.

"BOO-YAH! WHOO!" Kuzco shouted as they fell.

They all landed in the water. Thankfully, there weren't any sharp rocks at the bottom.

Soon, everyone resurfaced and gasped for air. Thankfully, the impact also destroyed the old branches and the wines so they were able to swim out. Some helped each other out of the water.

"Wow what a rush…" panted Ven.

"I hope I never go over a waterfall like that again." painted Daisy.

Riku and Kairi dragged Sora onto land.

"Sora, you ok?" Riku asked.

"I think I'd make a good Smash Brothers character…" Sora mumbled. (1)

Riku and Kairi chuckled.

"I'll be sure to give those guys that suggestion over the phone." Riku said.

Soon, everyone was out of the water.

"Well that was a wild ride…" muttered Terra.

"Is everyone alright?" asked Naminé.

"More soaked than hurt, but yeah." said Myde.

"Gawrsh, that was some water slide." Goofy commented.

"Let's not do that again for some time." suggested Lea.

"Uh guys? Something's wrong with Kuzco." said Roxas.

Everyone looked and saw Kuzco lying on the ground unconscious.

"Is he ok?" Oswald asked.

Pacha put his ear to Kuzco's chest. "Your Highness. Your Highness, can you hear me?" he asked.

There was no response. Pacha began to slap Kuzco across the face. "Oh, boy. Come on, breathe. Breathe!" he cried.

"There is CPR…" Aqua said awkwardly.

"You mean Mouth-to-Mouth?" asked Minnie, getting a nod from the female bluehead.

Everyone cringed.

"Ohh. Why me?" Pacha groaned.

Pacha faced Kuzco's head up and opened his mouth… only for his tongue to op out and plop to the side, making everyone cringe in disgust.

"All right." Pacha muttered as he inhaled, ready to apply CPR… only for Kuzco to open his eyes and see Pacha with his lips sticking out.

"AHH!" theys screamed.

Everyone recoiled in disgust as well, trying hard not to get sick as Kuzco and Pacha spat and tried to wipe off their tongues.

"That was really weird." said Lea, trying not to lose his meal.

"Could things get any more weird?" Donald asked.

At that moment, more Heartless spawned.

There were Commanders, Fiery Globes, Flame Cores, Margoyles, and Chocolate Gargoyles.

"AH! Creepy monsters!" screamed Kuzco.

"Me and my big beak." Donald deadpanned. (2)

"Kuzco, Pacha, hide!" said Sora as he summoned Winner's Proof.

"Listen to Sora, we've got these freaks!" said Kairi, summoning Destiny's Embrace.

"Comoen on Kuzco, let's hide!" said Pacha.

"Way ahead of you!" Kuzco said as he hid behind some bushes as Pacha hid behind a log.

Riku summoned All For One, Ven summoned Stroke of Midnight, Aqua summoned Mark of a Hero, Terra summoned Treasure Trove, Roxas summoned Silent Birge, Xion summoned Abaddon Plasma, Naminé summoned Shooting Star, Lea summoned Flame Liberator, Isa summoned Blue Moon, Myde summoned Mystic Water, Mickey summoned Kingdom Key W, Minnie summoned Starlight, Donald summoned Unbound and Wizard's Relic, Daisy summoned Spellbinder, Goofy summoned Royal Radiance and Akashic Record, Max summoned Fenrir, Oswald summoned Classic Tone, and Ortensia summoned Zero/One. They then all got into fighting positions.

"Then let's finish this!" Sora said as he ran towards Goofy.

Sora and Goofy grasp hands and there was a bright flash as Sora appeared in his red Valor form, Winner's Proof switched out with Kingdom Key and Oathkeeper.

Sora started off with Brave Shot, knocking one of the Commanders into five more Heartless. The brunette then casted Sonic Strike against said Heartless, obliterating them before moving onto the remaining ones. He used Sonic Strike against the remaining Heartless, wounding them before he finished them all off with Sonic End, casting several mid-air attacks that struck them all instantly.

Everyone panted as the heroes dismissed their weapons, Sora's clothes returning to normal as Goofy reappeared. Riku, Mickey, and Donald casted cures on everyone.

"OK Kuzco, Pacha, it's safe to come out now!" called Aqua.

Kuzco and Pacha emerged from the bushes.

"Are those creepy monsters all gone?" Kuzco asked nervously.

"For now at least." said Xion.

"I suggest we set up camp." said Mickey. "We should rest after a while."

"Good idea bro." Oswald said in agreement.

Later…

The world-travelers were resting all around as Pacha tried to start up a fire using sticks on a large log. Kuzco was gargling water to get a certain 'taste' out of his mouth.

"For the last time, it was not a kiss." Pacha said as he got a small flame going.

"Well, whatever you call it... [spits on the fire, to Pacha's annoyance] it was disgusting." "And if you would've done what I ordered you to do in the first place, we all could've been spared your little kiss of life." Kuzco huffed.

"It's called 'Mouth to Mouth' Llama Boy, it helps give oxygen to an unconscious person." Ven huffed.

"Like I said, disgusting!" Kuzco said as he shook his fur, getting water onto another flame Pacha got going, much to his annoyance.

"But now that you're here, you will all take me back to the palace." Kuzco said, lying down as he played with some rocks. "I'll have Yzma change me back, and then I'll start construction on Kuzcotopia. Oh, yeah."

"I can see at least one problem with that plan." said Isa.

"Yeah, evicting an innocent family out of there home just to build something for yourself." Sora said in disgust.

Pacha sighed. "OK, now, look, I think we got off on the wrong foot here." he said.

"Mm-hmm." Kuzco nodded.

"I think if you really thought about it, you'd decide to build your home on a different hilltop." Pacha offered.

"Yeah, that way everybody wins." Kairi said in agreement.

"And why would I do that?" Kuzco asked in a snobbish tone.

"Because... deep down, I think you'll realize that you're forcing an entire village out of their homes just for you." replied Pacha.

"And that's... bad?" Kuzco asked. The group nodded.

"Well, yeah." Pacha laughed. "Nobody's that heartless."

The world-travelers traded glances.

"Well actually Pacha, we've met pretty heartless people on our travels." said Terra. "And trust me, what Kuzco's doing here is just child's play."

"Yeah, we've met many despicable people we've had to fight." nodded Aqua. "People ranging from killers to literal war lords."

"And our top enemy, while old, is the most dangerous of all." said Lea. "Hell, many of us in this group have been affected by him one way or another."

Pacha and even Kuzco were surprised by that.

"But then again, I doubt Kuzco here would be that heartless, like you said." said Naminé.

Kuzco pondered that. "Mmm. Now take me back." he demanded.

The Keyblade wielders and Pacha released a frustrated sigh.

"What? Wait, wait. How can you be this way?" demanded Pacha. "All you care about is building your summer home and filling it with stuff for you."

"Uh, yeah. Doy. Me. Everyone else in the kingdom gets it. You're the only ones that don't seem to be with the program. Am I right?" Kuzco snapped.

"Well that's not what a leader is supposed to do!" Minnie snapped.

"Yeah, a good leader is supposed to look out for their people and put them first." Mickey huffed.

"And you buddy got it all backwards." Oswald scowled.

"Yeah and how would you know?" Kuzco asked in annoyance.

Mickey, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia traded nervous glances.

"Just tell them." Sora sighed. "You might as well, rulers to ruler."

"What to what now?" Kuzco asked in confusion.

Mickey sighed. "Because Minnie and I are a king and queen ourselves." he said. "And so are Oswald and Ortensia."

Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia nodded in agreement.

Pacha was surprised. Kuzco stared at the mice, rabbit and cat fro a moment… and the burst out laughing.

"You four?! Kings and queens?! You're telling me that you're royalty?!" he gauffawed as he fell to the ground. "There's no way that's even possible! You're pulling my legs! Bwahahahahaha!" he laughed.

"They aren't lying." said Riku. "Mickey, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia are rulers of their own kingdoms like you are with your empire."

But Kuzco continued laughing, slamming his hooves against the ground.

"Yeah he thinks you guys are bonkers." Myde said.

"Do you believe us Pacha?" Minnie asked the village leader.

Pacha rubbed the back of his neck. "Well… I would, but…" he said, trialing off.

"Well I have an idea that will make you believe." said Mickey. "Minnie, let's change into our outfits."

"Oh ok!" said Minnie.

Mickey and Minnie touched their right shoulders and were engulfed in bright lights that caught Kuzco's attention as he stopped laughing. When the light faded, Mickey and Minnie were in their royal outfits.

Mickey wore a short-sleeved jacket with white lining. The top half was black and the bottom half was red, and there were two yellow straps dangling in front of it. His pants were red and sporting a zipper going down the front of each leg. Each leg also had a yellow pouch with a black strap that partially covered the zipper, as well as a blue strap on the outer side of each pant leg, very large, yellow shoes with grey backs and two orange, intersecting straps attached to the front of each shoe.

Minnie wore a gold tiara with a ruby Hidden Mickey-shaped symbol set in the middle. She wore an elegant ball gown with short, ball-shaped sleeves, the top being pink with red lining. The pink section sported a flower-like pattern inside circles that line the bottom. She wore another, salmon-colored layer underneath this, and a third, pleated, red layer under that, as well as a large, red bow on the back of her dress.

Pacha whistled, impressed.

Kuzco stared, slack jawed.

"Whoa… you really are royalty." he said, shocked.

"Of course we are." said Minnie. "We wear those other garments when we go on missions."

"And since Mickey is my brother, that makes me royalty too. Ortensia as well since we're married." said Oswald.

"And unlike you, we actually look out for the people in our kingdoms." said Ortensia.

"Because that is what good leaders do; put others in front of themselves." Mickey added firmly.

Kuzco thought about it some more… and then scoffed.

"Well here's a newsflash for ya 'fellow royals', I don't need a royalty lesson from those walking around in my empire." he said sharply.

Everyone groaned in annoyance as Mickey and Minnie used their magic to change into their world-traveling clothes.

"You can't be serious right now." Terra said in annoyance.

"Unbelievable." grunted Max.

"You know what? Someday, you're going to wind up all alone, and you'll have no one to blame but yourself." Pacha said calmly.

"Thanks for that. I'll log that away. Now, for the final time, I order you to take me back to the palace!" Kuzco demanded.

Everyone rolled their eyes.

"Looks to me like you're stuck out here, because unless you change your mind, I'm not taking you back." Pacha said firmly.

"Well fine then! Then my new bodyguards will take me back!" Kuzco retorted.

"Yeah that isn't happening." Donald huffed.

"He's right. We're not helping you." said Lea, crossing his arms.

"What?! Why not?!" demanded Kuzco.

"Why should we after everything you've said and plan to do?" Xion replied.

"Yeah, we don't help selfish, spoiled, whiny brats like you." Riku added.

"We will help you if you change your mind," said Sora. "But if you're not going to, then that's on you."

"Now let's get that fire going." said Lea, sitting down across from Pacha, using his magic to make a small fire.

Kuzco couldn't believe what he was hearing. He pouted indignantly. "'Because unless you change your mind, I'm not taking you back. Me, me, me. Moo, moo, moo.'" Kuzco mocked, picking up a small rock and throwing it directly at the back of Pacha's head, causing the group to turnt o him in annoyance. He quickly tried to look as innocent as possible. "Huh? What? I didn't do anything. I didn't- Somebody's throwing stuff." he lied.

"Jackass." Riku muttered.

"I thought that was for donkeys." Myde said in confusion.

"Well the term applies to this situation." the silverhead said.

"Forget it guys, he's never going to change his mind." Pacha sighed.

"Why does that guy even think the world revolves around him?" Max asked in annoyance.

"He's just like Tony Stark before Iron Man." said Goofy.

"Yeah but more irritating." said Donald.

"Still, we have to help him." Mickey said.

"You're kidding." Myde said in disbelief.

"Look fellas, I know that Kuzco is really getting on our nerves with what he plans to do, but we still have to do the right thing." Mickey replied. "It is our job to protect people on our travels. And Kuzco is one of them."

"I hate to say it but Mickey's right." sighed Pacha. "I did say nobody is that heartless compared to those villains you guys say you fought. And if we left him out here, then we're no better than him or any of them."

Riku sighed. "You're right. I've done heartless things before, but that was out of being tricked by Maleficent and Ansem. I wouldn't really dream of being heartless deliberately." he said.

"Besides, maybe this journey might change Kuzco for the better." Mickey added.

"Do you really think it will?" asked Oswald.

"Well those who worked for Rourke changed for the better and joined us and Milo against him." Mickey pointed out.

"And Iago against Jafar." Sora said, seeing Mickey's point.

"And so did Nebula against Ego and Thanos." said Goofy.

"And Loki against Hela, Thanos, and the dark elves." Riku added.

"And Barbossa against Davy Jones!" added Donald.

"And of course, Lea, Isa, Myde, Dilan, Even, Aeleus, and Iezno against Organization XIII." added Ven.

"You guys sure have made many friends who were enemies." Pacha commented, impressed.

"Many of us have that affect on people." said Kairi before grinning teasingly at Sora. "Especially this lugnut over here." she added, playfully shovign him.

"Kairi!" Sora laughed, making everyone chuckle.

"But all the same, do you think Kuzco really can change?" asked Terra.

"It is possible." said Aqua.

"I can talk to him, ruler to ruler." said Mickey.

"He won't like that." Daisy pointed out.

"Well I'm all for giving it a try." Mickey said as he got up and walked towards Kuzco.

"You think it'll work?" Lea asked.

"Guess we'll see results in the morning." Isa replied. "We should get some sleep. We got a long way to go tomorrow."

"Good idea." nodded Pacha.

Mickey approached Kuzco, who was trying to sleep against a large rock. He groaned in annoyance when he saw the mouse king.

"What do you want?" he asked.

"Kuzco look, I want to talk to you." Mickey said calmly.

"About what? About how somehow I'm in the wrong?" Kuzco scoffed.

"Somethin' like that." Mickey replied as he sat down next to the llama. "Kuzco look, I get it. Being a leader is fun and all, having everyone at your beck and call and getting everything that you want. But I can tell you, being a king for many decades, that it's not all about that. Being a ruler means you have to look out for your people."

"Why should I? I should be looking out for myself." huffed Kuzco.

"That's your problem Kuzco, it's not all about you." Mickey said firmly. "If you don't put the needs your people before your own, then you are not fit to be emperor."

"And how am I not fit to be an emperor Mouse Boy?" Kuzco demanded.

"Because you only think about yourself." Mickey replied. "My old friend, King Mufasa, says that there's more to being king that getting everything that you want. Sure it's a perk, but that's not the point. A good leader, whether you're a king, emperor, duke, anything, looks out for their people and makes sure that they're safe. They protect them from dangerous enemies and try to provide for them as well. A good leader is someone you can look up to and depend on, knowing that they'll be there to keep you safe. It also earns you respect."

Kuzco pondered Mickey's words.

"Plus, my friends and I have met many rulers who only think of themselves and not for the greater good of their home and their people." Mickey went on. "And trust me when I say they are the definition of pure evil."

"Are they really that bad?" Kuzco asked, finding himself curious and a little scared.

"Oh yes they are." Mickey nodded. "One is Hades, the ruler of the dead in Olympus and thinks he deserved the throne. Hell, he was even willing to kill his nephew to claim it. Another one was a goddess named Hela who wanted to be a war-leader like her father used to be and was willing to kill anyone who stood in her way. And then there's Scar, Mufasa's younger brother, who killed him to become king just to be, well, king, not caring if his subjects were starving and thirsty."

Kuzco was taken aback by those Mickey described.

"My point is Kuzco, a good leader looks out for their people, not themselves. Minnie And I do our hardest to do that for our kingdom back home when we're not traveling. The same with Oswald and Ortensia with their kingdom." Mickey said gently. "Maybe you can still have your pool, but without forcing Pacha's family out of their home so you can build it there. And despite your attitude, we all know that deep down, you don't want to do it because you are not that heartless. Just think about it Kuzco, words from two leaders like yourself, whether they're royal or not."

With that, Mickey walked back to join his team who had already fallen asleep. He laid down next to Minnie before snuggling up against her and felt asleep.

Kuzco was pondering over Mickey's words. Was he right? Was he a bad emperor? Would he really force Pacha's family out of their home?

But he decided not to dwell on that for now as he was getting tired. He eventually dozed off to sleep, albeit, shivering in the cold night.

Luckily, his shivering woke Pacha up. The village leader looked at the shivering llama and sighed. He took off his poncho and laid it over Kuzco. Kuzco stopped shivering as he felt warm all of a sudden and looked up to see Pacha rejoin Sora and his team. Kuzco said nothing as he fell back asleep.

Palace:

Yzma was resting on a stone-alligator bench in relaxation. After having Kronk take Kuzco out of town and "finish the job", she swooped in and took over as empress. Now she was ruling like no tomorrow, repainting the palace in her image. Kronk was making mini-hot wings over a small grill.

"Now this is the life. Kuzco is out of the picture and I am the empress." Yzma said with a wicked, relaxed smile.

At that moment, a large, bright, green flame erupted from the floor. The flames dispersed to reveal Maleficent with Luxord and Magica behind her.

"Maleficent! This is a surprise." Yzma said, sitting up.

"Ah Yzma, I see you have finally made yourself empress." Maleficent said as the htee villains walked up the stairs.

"Indeed I have. This is the life that rightfully belongs to me." Yzma said with a wicked grin.

"Which is why we came to congratulate you. I always wanted to be an empress myself." Magica said. "And once Xehanort's plans come to fruition, I will practically dominate my world!"

"Under my rule, may I remind you." Maleficent said with a stern look.

"Of course my old friend." said Magica. "After all, it is thanks to you that I have my powers back."

"Trust me Magica, it is the life for people like us." Yzma said. She then groaned. "If only those Keyblade-wielding nuisances weren't in my world."

"Which is why I am here, to help you be free of such a problem." said Luxord, shuffling his cards.

"And I am here to lend my assistance." Magica added.

"Normally I don't require any assistance, but it is much appreciated, De Spell." said Luxord. "This way, the so-called heroes' time will be up much sooner than expected."

"Alright everyone, hot wings are ready." Kronk said, bringing up a tray of them. "Though I should warn you that they are pretty hot per say, given that it's, well, in the name."

"I never knew he cooked." Luxord said.

"I suppose that there's more to that man than being a complete imbecile like Pete and Mortimer." Magica snickered.

"Kronk, darlin', I must admit you had me worried when you mixed up those poisons, but now that Kuzco is dead, all is forgiven." Yzma said, making Kronk suddenly sweat nervously.

"Ah. Oh, yeah, yeah. He's... Heh. He's dead, all right. Heh heh. I mean, you can't get much deader than he- then he is right now." Kronk stammered, accidentally dropping a rag that caught fire, which he quickly put out with his foot. "Unless, of course, we killed him again."

Yzma raised an eyebrow. "I suppose." she said, suspicious.

"Hey, look, the royal dresser's here!" Kronk exclaimed, going past Maleficent, Luxord, and Magica.

"Kronk…" Yzma began.

"I should tell you right now I'm kind of hard to fit." Kronk said, examining the different colored fabric.

"Should we tell her?" Luxord asked.

"No, I'd like to see how this turns out." Magixca snickered, getting a knowing smirk from Maleficent.

"Kronk…" Yzma said again, approaching her henchman.

"I wear a 66 long and a 31 waist." Kronk continued, examining himself.

Yzma kicked the royal dresser away.

"Kuzco is dead, right?" Yzma asked before grabbing Kronk's mouth. "Tell me Kuzco's dead. I need to hear these words."

"Do you need to hear all those words exactly?" Kronk asked.

Yzma flinched in anger as she dropped her plate of wings, her eye twitching. "He's still alive?!" she quietly screeched through hidden teeth.

"Well, he's not as dead as we would've hoped." Kronk replied.

"Kronk…!" Yzma growled, her face red in frustration.

"I just thought I'd give you the heads-up in case Kuzco ever came back." Kronk went on.

"He can't come back!" Yzma shouted.

"Yeah. That would be kind of awkward- especially after that lovely eulogy." Kronk nodded while also missing the point.

"You think!?" Yzma hissed before facing the three villains. "Did you three and our allies know about this?!" she demanded.

"We did." nodded Maleficent. "But we also knew that given his 'situation', Kuzco wouldn't be able to return quite so easily."

"That and he's basically walking prey!" Magica cackled.

"Yes but our card-counting friend here mentioned to us that that Sora twerp and his friends are here!" Yzma growled. "If they find Kuzco before he even ends up in the stomach of a wild animal then they could help him back!"

"We anticipated this. Which is why I plan to help eliminate them, as well as drag seven of those Keybearers back with us for Master Xehanort." said Luxord.

"And I will be assisting him to make things even tougher for those meddling brats." Magica assed.

Yzma thought about what her allies said. "As helpful as it is, I can't risk anything. You two can help, but I want to see to it that Kuzco is finished for good and I can stay empress." She turned to Kronk. "You and I are going out to find him. If he talks, we are through! Now let's move!"

Maleficent began to wave her staff.

"You will need the Heartless on your side my dear Yzma." she said. "Just in case."

A horde of Heartless appeared in the main hall, all looking up at the five individuals.

"Yes… all the Heartless at my command… I feel the power!" Yzma grinned before laughing maniacally.

Maleficent, Luxord, and Magica grinned wickedly at Yzma while Kronk looked a little disturbed.

The next morning:

Everyone was getting up and trying to get themselves awake. Pacha was washing his face by the river.

"Ah what a goodnight's sleep.," Donald said happily.

"A little chilly but at least the fire kept us warm." added Riku.

"Thankfully it was a controlled one." Kairi said.

"Sheesh, haven't slept on the ground outdoors since Rapunzel and Eugene's world." commented Lea.

"We might be doing it very often so you should get used to it." said Isa, stretching his arms.

"I know I am," said Myde.

"That's because you always slacked off on work." smirked Kion, making the Melodious Nocturne pout.

"Not true, he did well in recon, remember." Roxas pointed out.

"Well either way, now that we've had a good night's sleep, we can get Kuzco back to the palace." Mickey said.

"Do you think your talk with him last night worked?" asked Ven.

"Guess we'll have to wait and see." the king shrugged.

At that moment, Kuzco stirred awake. He held the poncho in his teeth as he came over to Pacha.

"Uh, hey. Thanks." he said awkwardly as he set the poncho down on his hoof and handed it over to its owner.

"Oh. No problem." Pacja said, surprised, taking the poncho.

"Feels like wool." Kuzco commented.

"Yeah." Pacha nodded.

"Alpaca?" Kuzco asked.

"Oh, yeah, it is." the village leader nodded.

"Oh, yeah, I thought so. It's nice." the emperor commented.

"My wife made it." Pacha said.

"Oh, she knits?" Kuzco asked, curious.

"Crochets." Pacha corrected.

"Crochets? Nice." Kuzco mused.

"Thanks." nodded Pacha.

There was an awkward silence as the worldly-travelers looked between the emperor and village leader in surprise.

"Well… this is surprising," Sora whispered to Riku and Kairi.

"So... So, I was thinking that when I got back to the city, we'd, uh... I mean, there's lots of hilltops, and maybe I might, you know... I-I might…" Kuzco stammered, making everyone's eyes widen in surprise.

"Are you saying... you've changed your mind?' Pacha asked, making sure he heard correctly.

"Oh, well, I-I…" Kuzco trailed off.

"Because you know that means you're doing something nice for something else." Pacha said.

"No, I know that. I know." Kuzco nodded.

"And you're all right with that?" Pacha asked.

"As in, you're ok moving your pool to another hill?" Sora asked, still surprised that this was happening.

"Yes." Kuzco replied.

Everyone traded glances.

"Do ya think he's telling the truth?" Goofy asked.

"I dunno." shrugged Donald.

"He might be lying." Lea said, narrowing his eyes. "But we have to be sure."

Pacha nodded in agreement as he extended his arm out to Kuzco.

"What?" the human-turned-llama asked in confusion.

"Don't shake unless you mean it." Pacha said firmly.

Kuzco hesitated for a moment… and then shook Pacha's hand, bringing a smile to everyone's faces.

"Well, that's satisfying." said Roxas.

"Still, we'd better keep an eye on him just in case." said Terra.

"Will do." nodded Xion.

"All right. Let's get you back to the palace." said Pacha.

"And be on the lookout for any bad guys." added Max.

"Lead the way Pacha." said Sora.

Pacha nodded as they began to walk away. He then paused to look at Kuzco. "Oh, by the way, thanks."

"No... thank you." Kuzco said with an almost smug look.

As the group walked away, none of them noticed two figures hiding in the forest. As soon as the group of 22 was out of sight, they revealed themselves to be Pete and Mortimer.

"Looks like those brats are on the move." Pete mused. "And they think their little trip back to the palace is gonna be easy."

"Well they're mistaken on a high level." Mortimer chuckled. "Better contact our fellow baddies."

Pete pulled out his phone and pressed a number.

"Hey De Spell, the Keyblade wielders, the emperor, and the fat man in green are on the move." he said.

"Good work… for once." came Magica's reply.

"Hey!" the two said, offended.

"Luxord and I will make our moves when the time is right." Magica continued.

"And Yzma?" Mortimer asked.

"Her and that other idiot Kronk are already on the move. While we deal with the brats and the village leader, Kuzco will be hers for the kill." Magica replied. "You two are done. Return to The Castle That Never Was."

"Done." Pete smirked.

Pete opened a corridor of darkness and he and Mortimer stepped through it.

A little ways away…

Everyone was walking along, talking as they did.

"So what did he call it?" asked Myde.

"The 'Suck Kut'." Riku replied. "It sucks as it cuts."

"Sounds like it certainly does suck." Myde joked. (3)

"They put a sack over his head even though he was blind?" Aqua asked in disbelief.

"Yep. Even Chirrut lampshaded it, though it was pretty funny." Roxas admitted. (4)

"I still wonder why he would ask for a cheeseburger and a PRESS conference instead of a hospital." Oswald said.

"Well he was in captivity for a while. I doubt that the food there was good, if there way any for him since he was taken prisoner." Mickey replied. (5)

Soon, they came towards a bridge.

"OK. Once we cross this bridge, it's only an hour to the palace." Pacha told the group.

"He's right, I can see it from here." said Max.

Everyone looked and saw the large golden palace far up ahead. Lea let out an impressed whistle.

"Nice place you got there Kuzco." he commented.

"Good, because believe it or not, I think I need a bath." said Kuzco.

"I believe it." Pacha muttered, making Donald, Lea, and Myde snicker.

"What was that?" Kuzco asked.

"Nothing." Pacha quickly said.

"Gawrsh, we'd better be careful fellers, looks pretty old." said Goofy.

"Yeah and I don't fancy dropping down into the river." said Donald.

"We have gliders Donald." reminded Daisy.

"True, but still." Donald said.

Pacha began to make his way across the bridge when there was a creaking noise.

"What was that…?" Lea carefully asked.

Suddenly, a board snapped under Pacha's feet! He began to tumble through the hole and then caught in the vines under the bridge.

"Pacha!" Ven shouted as the rest of the team ran to Pacha's aid.

"Pacha, are you ok?!" Minnie asked in worry.

"Y-Yeah, I-I think so!" Pacha said.

"Don't worry Pacha, we'll get you out!" said Aqua.

Suddenly, a swarm of Heartless appeared behind the group. There were Shadows, Soldiers, Water Cores, and Flame Cores.

"Oh for crying out loud!" Ven groaned, summoning Wayward Wind.

"We gotta stop them before they try to get Pacha and Kuzco!" said Aqua, summoning Master's Defender.

Signature Keyblades and other weapons were summoned.

"Hang on Pacha, we'll get to you before they do!" said Sora, summoning Kingdom Key as the 20 Keyblade Masters ran into battle.

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere!" Pacha called.

Kuzco, on the other hand, wasn't concerned at all by the situation. While the Heartless was concerning, seeing Sora and Co. handle it eased him.

"Kuzco! Kuzco!" Pacha called.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Quick, help me up!" Pacha called.

"No. I don't think I will." Kuzco suddenly said, stunning everyone as he jumped over the gap.

"Kuzco, what the hell do you think you're doing?!" exclaimed Roxas as he slashed at some Soldiers.

"You're going to leave me here?!" Pacha asked in disbelief.

"Well, I was going to have you imprisoned for life, but I kind of like this better." Kuzco replied.

"Are you serious?!" Aqua exclaimed as she bashed a Shadow in the head.

"How could you be so horrid?!" Minnie growled as she ducked from three Water Cores.

"I thought you were a changed man." Pacha growled.

"Oh, come on. I had to say something to get you all to take me back to the city." Kuzco scoffed.

Pacha was furious. "So all of it was a lie?!" he growled.

"Well, yeah. No, wait." Kuzco said, thinking it over. "Uh, yeah, yeah. It all was a lie. Toodles." he said as he began to walk away.

"You dirty rat!" scowled Riku as he slashed at some Shadows.

"I can't believe you right now!" Sora snapped after killing a Flame Core.

"I thought my words changed you! Guess I was wrong!" Mickey snarled before he ducked from some leaping Soldiers.

"Yeah, definitely wrong Mouse Boy, definitely, definitely wrong." Kuzco replied.

"WE SHOOK HANDS ON IT!" Pacha yelled in anger.

Kuzco then walked back and stuck his head through the hole towards Pacha.

"You know, the funny thing about about shaking hands is... you need hands." He said, wiggling his hooves. "Ha! OK. Buh-bye!"

But as Kuzco began to walk away, the planks under him snapped and he fell through, tangled in the vines like Pacha.

"Are you OK? Are you all right?" Pacha asked.

"Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm all right." Kuzco panted.

"Good!" Pacha suddenly snapped before sockign Kuzco in the snout, making him spin around. "That's for going back on your promise!" he growled.

Kuzco's response was side-kicking Pacha away. "Yeah. That's for kidnapping me and taking me to your village... which I'm still gonna destroy, by the way. Ah ha ha ha!" he mocked before he saw Pacha coming back at him. "No touchy." he squeaked.

Pacha head butted Kuzco against the canyon wall. "Why did I risk my life for a selfish brat like you? I was always taught that there was good in everyone, but ooh, you proved me wrong." he growled in anger and betrayal.

"Oh, boohoo. Now I feel really bad. Bad llama." Kuzco said mockingly.

"I could've let you die out there in that jungle, and then all my problems would be over." Pacha snarled. "And I bet if it wasn't in their morals, Sora and his friends would've done it too."

"Well, that makes you all ugly and stupid." Kuzco huffed.

Pacha's eyes narrowed. "Let's end this." he snarled.

"Ladies first." Kuzco sneered smugly.

Up above, Riku was knocked close to the cliff ledge. He got up and looked down and saw Kuzco and Pacha in a squabble. Sora, Kairi, and Mickey ran up to see as well.

"Oh jeez, what happened?" Mickey asked.

"My guess: karma for Kuzco." Riku replied.

"And now they're fighting like children." mused Kairi. "We should really help them up."

"We will. But we have to stop the Heartless from getting to them first." said Sora. "Hopefully the bridge will hold."

"Let's hope." said Mickey as they rushed back into battle.

Unfortunately, Kairi's hope wasn't to be. Because of Kuzco and Pacha's brawl, the bridge began to weaken. A loud snap caused the two to look up and see that the ropes on the bridge had snapped, causing the entire bridge to fall apart. Kuzco and Pacha looked at each other before they began to fall, both of them screaming and bouncing off the walls before they were back to back, wedged in between the walls over a river.

Up above, Sora and Co. were still fighting the Heartless when they saw the bridge collapse, making them gasp in horror.

"KUZCO! PACHA!" they cried as they ran over.

They peered down and were relieved to see them stuck and alive.

"Are you two ok?!" called Ortensia.

"We're wedged down here, whaddya think?" Kuzco asked, snakrily.

"Hold on, we'll get you out!" called Roxas.

Suddenly, several Shadows began to jump down.

"Oh no you don't!" snapped Lea as he used Dark Firaga to quickly destroy them.

"Don't worry about us!" called Pacha. "Stop the Heartless!"

"No! Worry about us! Mainly me!" Kuzco pleaded.

"We'll find a way out!" Pacha called. "Stop them before they get to us!"

"OK, but as soon as we're done, we're coming to rescue you two!" said Ven as they rushed back into battle.

"Nice job sending them back genius!" Kuzco scoffed. He and Pacha then froze, as they saw crocodiles below them. Kuzco began to whimper in fear. "What are we gonna do?! Aah! What are we gonna do?! We're gonna die! We're gonna die! That's it for me!"

Pacha looked around then then saw a piece of the rope from the bridge dangling near a tree branch. A plan formed in his mind.

"No, we're not. Calm down. I have an idea. Give me your arm." he said.

Kuzco gave him one of his arms.

"OK, now the other one." Pacha said.

Kuzco gave the other one.

"When I say go, push against my back, and we'll walk up the hill." instructed Pacha. "Ready?"

Kuzco shook his head in protest.

"Go."

As Pacha tried to move, he accidentally slammed into Kuzco, pushing him against the wall.

"Ow! You did that on purpose!" Kuzco said accusingly, pushing Pacha back.

"No, I didn't!" Pacha grunted. "Now, we're gonna have to work together to get out of this, so follow my lead. Ready? Right foot."

"Whose right? Your right or mine?" asked Kuzco.

"I don't care. Mine." Pacha replied.

"Well, why yours?" Kuzco asked.

"OK, your right!" grunted Pacha. "Ready?"

"OK, got it." said Kuzco, feeling a bit more confident.

"OK, right. Left. Right." said Pacha.

Step by step, the human-turned-llama and the village leader began to walk up the cliff walls.

Aqua destroyed some Flame Cores with a Double Blizzaga spell and ran to check on Kuzco and Pacha. A surprised, but relieved look crossed her face when she saw them walking up the cliff.

"Guys, they're ok!" she called.

After destroying a Water Core with a Thundaga spell, Terra ran over to join Aqua and looked down.

"Wow, they're actually doing it." he said, impressed.

Suddenly, they saw 8 Soldiers run at the cliff.

"Get back you creeps!" Terra shouted as he struck four of them with a Wateraga spell. Aqua quickly assisted with a Crawling Fire spell.

"Ha ha! Look, we're moving!" cheered Kuzco as they got higher.

He then saw the crocodiles roar, making him scream.

"Don't look down!" said Pacha. "Now, stay with me. Stay with me. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right!"

But as they got higher, they saw that there was no more room to walk as the canyon was too wide.

"Now what, genius?" asked Kuzco.

"Working on it." Pacha said as he looked around. "OK, here's the deal. Stretch out your neck, and I'll grab the rope."

"How do I know you won't let me fall after you grab the rope?" Kuzco demanded.

"You're just gonna have to trust me!" Pacha strained.

Kuzco pushed against Pacha with all of his might, trying to stretch his neck. "You know, it's a good thing you're not a big, fat guy, or this would be really difficult!" he strainingly deadpanned.

Pacha reached out for the rope as far as he his arm could. "Almost. Got it!" Pacha said as he grabbed the rope, only to see that it was struck on the tree branch. "It's stuck!"

"Take your time. No hurry here." Kuzco said sarcastically.

As Pacha tried to shake the rope free from the tree branch, some small red things fell out of it and onto Kuzco's neck. Kuzco paled when he saw that the red things were…

"Scorpions!" he screamed, jumping in fright, making him start to fall.

"Kuzco!" Pacha shouted as he grabbed the emperor by the tail.

Kuzco swung into a small hole in the cliff, getting his snout stuck.

At that moment, more scorpions fell from the tree down Pacha's poncho, making him yelp as he flung himself against the wall, slamming his back against it in hopes of killing the scorpions.

Unfortunately, that caused some bats, who were sleeping in the cave Kuzco was stuck in, to wake up and angrily fly out, much to Kuzco's terror. They soared into his mouth, which expanded comically, before the impact dislodged him from the hole, swinging him up in the bat colony, dragging Pacha with him as he let go of the rope.

At that time, Sora and Co. had finally finished slaying the last of the Heartless.

"Finally, that's the last of them!" panted Sora.

"Creepy little shits." grunted Riku.

"Now to rescue Kuzco and Pacha!" said Kairi.

But as they turned around, they saw one Water Core Heartless they had missed at the edge where the bridge once stood.

"Looks like we missed one!" said Goofy.

But before anyone could attack it, the bat colony suddenly flew up from the canyon, making everyone jump.

"What the butt?!" exclaimed Lea.

"Where did all those bats come from?!" exclaimed Daisy.

At that moment, Kuzco and Pacha fell from the swarm right onto the Heartless, crushing it.

Everyone blinked, stunned.

"Well… that was convenient." commented Max.

"Eh, I'll take it." said Myde.

Kuzco and Pacha looked at each other then chuckled nervously.

Suddenly, the ground beneath Pacha began to crumble away as he began to stumble and trip.

"PACHA!" everyone cried.

"Look out!" shouted Kuzco.

Thinking quickly, Kuzco grabbed Pacha's poncho with his mouth and pulled the villager away from the edge just as the pieces of the ground fell into the canyon.

"Whoo-hoo! Yeah! Ooh, look at me and my bad self. I snatched you right out of the air. 'Ooh, I'm a crumbly canyon wall, and I'm taking you with me.' Well, not today, pal. Uh-huh. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh. Uh-huh." Kuzco sang triumphantly

Everyone stared in shock and astonishment at what Kuzco just did.

"You just saved my life." Pacha said, astonished.

"Huh?" Kuzco asked before realizing what he had done. He tried to look smug. "So?"

"I knew it." Pacha grinned.

"Knew what?"

"That there is some good in you after all."

"Oh, no."

"Admit it."

"Wrong."

"Yes, there is."

"Nuh-uh."

"I think there is."

"Nuh-uh!"

"Hey, you could've let me fall." shrugged Pacha.

"Come on, what's the big deal? Nobody's that heartless." Kuzco said before gasping. "Don't read too much into it. It was a one-time thing."

Sora and Co. smirked while Pacha just smiled.

"Right. Sure." he said.

"Yeah I don't think it'll be a one-time thing." said Sora.

"I had a feelin' there was good in ya." smiled Mickey.

Suddenly, a swarm of Nobodies spawned around the group.

There were Dusks, Dragoons, Dancers, Gamblers, and Reapers.

"Are you serious?!" Lea asked in annoyance.

"And we just slayed the Heartless!" groaned Donald.

"That must've been the idea." said Aqua as they got into fighting positions, clutching their weapons.

Mickey turned to Kuzco and Pacha. "You gonna get clear fellas?" he asked.

"Actually, I'm feeling pumped up from that!" said Kuzco, surprisingly feeling the urge to fight.

"Me too, we just survived a canyon, scorpions, bats, and almost crocodiles." said Pacha. "We'll help this time." he added, pumping his fists.

"Ha ha! That's the spirit!" Mickey grinned.

"Let's do this!" said Sora.

Minnie triple somersaulted to dodge the Gamblers' attacks on her. The queen then found herself confronted by a hoard of Gamblers, which she quickly destroyed with a Transcendence spell. Daisy slammed her Keyblade against the faces of some Dusks, though they still tried to leap at her. She quickly built up some magic and then unleashed Triple Firaga to kill them. Max skateboarded around the Dragoons, jumping to avoid their lances as they tried to strike him. Max moved circles around the Nobodies until they were in a tight group and then used his Keyblade to cast Meteor against them. Oswald flew around with his ears, dodging the Gamblers tossing exploding dice at him, until three of them exploded against them, sending him crashing into the grass. But as they came near the rabbit king, Oswald quickly fired orbs of light from his Keyblade to hold them back, jumped back to his feet, and then casted Exo Spark to kill them. Ortensia jumped and ducked from the Reapers' attacks, before she was thrashed against the back of her head, sending her against the ground. Gripping her Keyblade with one hand and then rubbing her sore head with another, the cat queen quickly unleashed a Deep Freeze spell to incase them in ice before she got up, ran over, and slashed it hard, finishing the Nobodies. Kuzco tried to make use of his llama form, headbutting the Dancers away from him and kicking them with his back legs. The emperor-turned-llama then ran at a group of Dancers and knocked them towards Pacha, who quickly socked them in their faces. Pacha kicked them away, and when they tried to attack him, he grabbed one, and used i sword to strike the other Dancers.

"Do these guys ever run out?!" Kuzco asked in annoyance.

"They're about to!" Sora said determinedly.

Sora grabbed Donald's hand and there was a bright flash as Sora changed into his blue Wisdom Form.

Sora charged at the Nobodies and used Wisdom Shot to weaken the Nobodies. He then ducked from their attacks and then casted Magic Haste against them. Sora then jumped into the air and then unleashed Magic Spice, unleashing a hoard of light orbs that blasted the Nobodies into oblivion, ending the battle.

(Terra vs. Helmeted Zack Boss Fight from Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep ends)

Everyone panted as all the enemies were finally gone.

"Wow… that was… pretty intense." panted Pacha.

"I don't… think I've… ever worked… so hard… in my LIFE!" panted Kuzco, wiping the sweat off his fur.

"That I believe." joked Lea.

"Yeah, the Nobodies are usually tougher than the Heartless." said Riku.

"Some of us actually used to be special versions sometime ago." said Roxas, surprising Kuzco and Pacha.

"You were bad guys?" Kuzco asked.

"We got tricked by our enemies, the one on top being responsible." replied Isa.

"And they have more than redeemed themselves in our eyes." added Terra.

Kuzco and Pacha nodded in agreement as everyone looked back at the canyon.

"Well, we better get going. With that bridge out, it's a 4-day walk to the palace." said Pacha.

"What? You mean you're still taking me back?" Kuzco asked in surprise.

"I shook on it, didn't I?" Pacha smirked.

"Well, yeah, but I hope you realize that doesn't change a thing. I'm still building Kuzcotopia when I get back." Kuzco said.

"Well given how long the journey is, you might just change your mind Kuzco." said Ven.

"Yeah, you'd be surprised what kind of impact adventures have on people, especially in a good way." said Daisy.

"Wait, you mean you guys are still coming?" Kuzco asked in further surprise.

"Well we do have a job to do." said Riku.

"And it is the right thing to do." added Xion.

"Plus, if you do change your mind, I know I want to be around to see it." smiled Kairi.

Murmurs of agreement went around the Keyblade Masters.

"Yea. Sure." Kuzco shrugged. "What are the chances of you carrying me?"

"Not good." said Pacha.

"Yeah, you're walking buddy." said Lea.

"Plus, we're all exhausted." said Max. "No come on, let's go."

Nodding, everyone began to follow Pacha.

"Shouldn't we just use our gliders?" asked Sora.

"Let's regain our energy and then we can do that." said Mickey. "Plus, we might attract unwanted attention."

"True." nodded Sora.

Meanwhile, Yzma was looking at a map of the kingdom as she sat on a chair in a small purple room.

"No, no, no!" she growled as she crossed off hillside villages on the map. "We've searched every village surrounding the palace and still no sign of Kuzco. Where is he?" she muttered as she pulled down a communication horn. "Kronk!

"Kronk here." said Kronk, who was jogging along.

"I'm getting tired. Pull over." Yzma ordered.

"Sure thing. Kronk out." said Kronk.

It was then revealed that Kronk was carrying a tent, which was the room Yzma was in. She stepped out and walked down on kneeling Kronk, who winced with each step. She then found herself walking in sticky mud.

"Perfect. These are my best shoes." she growled as shr struggled to get her fee free. "I hate this jungle." she muttered, spinning her scarf around, which led to the mud-covered end slapping her in the face, much to her annoyance.

And as to make matters more humiliating… she was attacked by a swarm of bees.

Kronk then saw an odd-looking bird, to which he quickly pulled out a feather and notepad with an attached ink bowl. "Oh, look. A golden-throated small-winged warbler. Just one more for Exotic Bird Bingo." he grinned, jotting it down.

As Kronk wrote on his notepad, Yzma was running from the bess which took the form of various things. First, an arrow, then a shark, which Yzma tried to fend off with a stick.

"I am loving this." Kronk smiled as the bird literally said, "Tweet", not noticing Yzma fend of the bees - who had taken the form of a tornado - with cartoonish big spray.

As Yzma ran, she suddenly tripped over a tree root stuck in the mud, making her faceplant into the mud. At that moment, Bucky the squirrel appeared in front of her, chittering with a smile.

"Get away from me!" yzma screeched, frightening Bucky, who scurried onto Kronk's arm, chittering in anger.

"Yeah. Tell me about it." Kronk said in agreement.

Bucky chittered again.

"No, no, it's not you. She's not the easiest person to get close to. There's a wall there. Trust me." said Kronk. "Especially since she's friends with this whole group that's bent on world domination or something along those lines I think."

"Are you talking to that squirrel?" Yzma asked, shocked, confused, and annoyed.

"I was a junior chipmunk. I had to be versed in the woodland creatures." replied Kronk."Please continue."

Bucky continued to chitter, much to Yzma's exasperation.

"Aah! Why me? Why me?" she groaned.

"Hey, it doesn't always have to be about you. This poor little guy has had it rough. Seems a talking llama gave him a hard time the other day." said Kronk.

Yzma perked up. "Oh, a talking llama? Ha ha ha ha! Do tell. Heh heh heh heh!" she grinned.

Bucky chittered indignantly.

"Uh, he doesn't really want to talk to you." Kronk translated.

"Well, then you ask him." Yzma grumbled.

Kronk sighed. "I hate being in the middle." he said before facing Bucky. "Squeaky, uh... squeak, squeaker, squeakin'."

Bucky chittered before screaming a bit.

"Jaguars?" Kronk asked in surprise. "No kidding? Brutal."

Bucky continued to speak as none noticed Yzma peering behind them. He stopped when the two finally noticed her.

"Uh, could you give us a little room here?" Kronk asked.

"Uh, sorry." Yzma said sheepishly as she backed away a bit.

"Uh-uh." said Bucky shaking his head.

"A little bit more, please." said Kronk.

Yzma frowned as she mobbed many more feet away. "How's this?" she called.

Bucky chattered.

"Yeah, that's good." Kronk called back.

"Now ask him which way the talking llama went!" demanded Yzma.

"Uh, squeakity-squeak, squeakin'." Kronk said in squirrel-speak.

Bucky chittered before pointing in a certain direction, getting a smile from Kronk.

Kronk then put the tent back on his back with Yzma on the throne inside and jogged off in the direction Bucky pointed to. Yzma grinned deviously as a dark aura surrounded her. She would make sure that Kuzco would be no more. And hopefully Luxord and Magica could deal with Sora and his friends.

To be continued…
